It came as no surprise to us whatsoever to hear Jon has filed to push back the divorce finalization to work a number of things out. It is a financially complicated divorce with a great deal of custody and visitation issues to work out with eight kids, and we never believed this divorce could possibly be final in just a few short months. Moreover, Jon has just gotten a new attorney. We have long suspected Kate has been subtly trying to railroad Jon into a quickie divorce to get herself a good deal and get his signature on the dotted line. Jon has been so distracted with girlfriends and partying he hasn't protested much. Perhaps he has finally wised up.
Jon claims his reasons for delaying the divorce are to "try to regain control over the future of our family. So Kate and I could join on a cooperative course that would benefit our family - not destroy it."
For her part, Kate was reportedly shocked and surprise to hear this. Ha.
