Despite reports an arbitrator had reached a decision, Jon's lawyer says the divorce probably won't be finalized until 2010.
Interestingly enough, he also denies Jon is hurting for cash.

This seems to be another case of "he said she said". Kate's side says divorce final any time and Jon's appear to be saying they still need to review paperwork. Kate's insiders say she is thilled with the abritrator's decision. Jon has a gag order on him so Kate and her "insiders" can pretty much say what ever they want!
DGS: Did you see I was able to give you a link to the court case records in the TLC vs jon case? I see there is a hearing today so I was wondering if you have any idea what it is about.
Oops: sorry the link for the court case is under the "Why Heller couldn't cross bar". Hopefully I did it right and the link will work.
I wonder if the kids will always associate divorce with the holidays. I don't think Kate should comment publicly, either. If Jon has a gag order, shouldn't Kate have one as well? I thought he was only banned from making money off of speaking?
So here's a new one for you....according to the divorce case there was an order entered today that bars Jon from any guns on the property of Kate Gosselin. I thought in America you had a right to bare arms. Poor Jon just one more strike against him.
Apparently the hearing today was about Jon paying attorneys fees of a former attorney, as well as an order he is not to have firearms on the property.
A judge can make any order in the best interest of the children, including no guns around them.
I had thought he was banned from saying anything negative, or something along those lines. I can't imagine there hasn't been a no discussion of the case order, which both of them have violated again and again.

Thanks again for the input. The other hearing I was talking about was in the link above in the TLC court case. On 10/30 a hearing was set for 12/14. I see an order to admit an attorney was just entered so perhaps that was what the hearing was about. I was concerned because someone on another site said the 12/14 hearing was regarding the kids.

Decree was entered this morning!
Divorce is usually a painful process for all concerned - for the person who makes the decision to leave the family, the other partner, grandparents or other family members. It is the children, who have no say in the decision, who are usually the ones most affected.
When filing for a divorce in some states and custody issues arise, parents are required to take parenting classes. These classes help parent help children through the divorce, by learning how to look at children's needs and interests, as well as giving insight into children's feelings.
Visit Online Divorce for more information.
Jon and Kate could both benefit from Parenting classes. It doesn't mean you're a bad parent, it means you recognizing your shortcomings and you want to learn skills to be better.
