Correcting report that Jon wasn't with the kids .... HE WAS

The San Francisco Examiner, a daily newspaper more than a century old, reported the following yesterday in this article by "journalist" Kitty Raymond http://www.sfexaminer.com/entertainment/Scoop-Kate-Gosselins-kids-depressed-without-mom-87625787.html#ixzz0iDJVRCgv

"While Kate was away from Feb. 21 to March 6, leaving her twins and sextuplets with nannies (not ex-hubby Jon) the little ones “were asking, ‘When is mommy coming home?’”

It is sloppy, lazy journalism like this that perpetuates the lies Kate continues to tell. Jon was indeed with the kids for at least eight of those fourteen days, and here is the proof on our blog:

Sunday, February 21: Jon seen playing outside with the kids and taking out the garbage.
Monday, February 22: Jon picks up the kids from school.
Tuesday, February 23: Jon takes sick Hannah to the pharmacy.
Friday, February 26: Jon shovels snow at the house with the kids.
Monday, March 1: Jon throws snowballs out front with the kids.

Examiner? You just got schooled.

Contact the managing editor of the Examiner to report their error at jpimentel@sfexaminer.com.

Great job Admin!

Wow...I would think being a journalist would mean double checking your facts and confirming sources, etc. etc. I would expect this sort of tabloid journalism from TMZ, Radaronline, Star, US, In Touch, Life & Style, etc.. I'm somewhat surprised that the Examiner put something like this out.

Kitty Raymond isn't a real journalist. Most of her sources are other tabloids.

Looking at her past work, you can pretty much see that she isn't really all that bright.

Heck, anyone can be a journalist for the examiner. LOL. Click on "write for us" button on their website. Upper right hand corner.

I would not bother sending to the writer, but to the editor and ask why he/she employs such a sloppy writer.

The San Francisco Examiner used to be the afternoon paper in the Bay Area - Examiners are now free papers distributed in the City and used by many homeless people for blankets and toilet paper.

I live in the area and have never seen an Examiner in print. I've seen the San Francisco Chronicle, but Never the Examiner. I don't think it's a real paper.

When I see it online it seems like the sfexaminer.com and the examiner.com are two different things. Maybe they aren't. There are definitely two separate web sites, and the one that story came from is SFexaminer. I don't publish things from the examiner period because it's wrong half the time.

I have a friend that is a journalist and also writes for the Examiner (as well as other sites and publications). Many "out of work" and educated journalists do write for the Examiner but my dog could write for them too.

It's owned by a billionaire from Denver. I asked about the Mast Head (top of the SFExaminer being different from the other Examiners) and he didn't quite understand the question but I "think" the guy originally bought the rights to the SF Examiner name, and just uses it for SF stories but uses the generic Examiner for the other cities.

The Examiner and the Chronicle were once owned by the same company but haven't been in quite a few years.

I don't know about anything being printed (on actual newsprint!) under the SF Examiner name but I'm not in San Francisco. I will ask around because I'm curious myself.

Stupid is was right. it used to be the afternoon daily.

When I told my friend about the blatant lies in this story he asked "how do I know?" and I told him that the paps are camped out outside the house and all this "reporter" had to do was go to radaronline to know he was with his kids.

Then we got into the whole "are you defending the cheating husband" conversation . . . . .bla bla bla. He also said that kate is "kinda hot."
