Episode 2 Discussion Thread -- Kate and Tony dance The Jive

Can Kate jive with those clown feet? Will she parade the kids out for votes? And how long will Tony cover/lie for her on Twitter? Discuss it all here!

Watch Tony dance the Jive with some past (talented) partners:

Melissa Rycroft
Susan Lucci
Marissa Jaret Winokur
Jane Seymour
Stacy Kiebler

Update: Kate blogs about Dancing, and wants the Judges to give her higher scores for effort, not ability!

I just can not see Kate being that limber to do this dance as it's suppose to be done. Why was her Waltz so short? Are all her dances going to be shorter than everyone else's? That does not seem fair to everyone else. We'll see what happens on Monday!!!

Anonymous said... 2

Yep we get to see & it is not like Kate can fake this one.

For Kate it is difficult to chew gum, walk & carry her hot pink telephone so the bar is set pretty low. She is on this show to drum up controversy & being rewarded because she allowed TLC to chew up & spit out the father of her children.

Poor Tony!

I just hope she's gone before they get to some of those Latin dances...the very thought of Kart grinding through a samba makes me want to heave.

Tony is tweeting right now that they're on set doing camera blocking.

Kate thinks she had a tough childhood, her parents weren't all they should be. Try having Neicy Nash's childhood. According to her, her mother's boyfriend burned the house down....with her inside!

Has it been confirmed that the kids are there in LA? The last I knew someone heard it on the radio and it was a myfoxphilly report but I never could find it there.

NancyB - Wouldn't that be a sight... Tony hoisting ol' holtstein hooves over his head. Ha. I'll bet secretly Kart is hoping this won't last long. I can just imagine how much whining she's doing right now about the jive.

mommyinca said... 11

I saw a video of Niecy (sp?) the other week. The paps caught her outside of a dance studio and she stood there and talked to them for a few minutes. She was very down to earth and gracious for engaging them. They asked her about Kate and she just sort of looked away and changed the subject. She didn't say anything negative but she certainly didn't jump to her defense. I think she may already have Kate's number.

I'm predicting that only Mady and Cara will be in the audience. They could probably sit through the entire show, and might even enjoy it. I doubt the 6 could handle it. Plus, having all eight there is a bit much. Also, I think Gina Neild will be sitting with them, and Kate might even refer to her as her "friend" who's here with the girls. Remember, everyone else had family and/or friends in the audience last week, except Khate.

As for the 6, I bet we see a video clip of Khate rehearsing in L.A. on Sunday and all the kids come in to "surprise" her. It might be a phony baloney "surprise" that she didn’t even know about them flying out to CA, which would be quite ridiculous. At the very least, the show will have a bit with the kids all "surprising" Khate while she was rehearsing on her birthday - the story being she knew they were in CA, but poor Khate had to spend most of her birthday in the studio practicing, so this was a lovely little surprise for the kids to come in and visit with her and watch her and Tony dance.

Also, remember the eight pairs of dance shoes that Billy Bush presented to Khate the other day on Access Hollywood? Well, we know she didn’t stuff all those shoe boxes in a suitcase when she flew home. The shoes are all still out in the studio and we'll see a "precious” little clip of the kids all in their dance shoes trying to dance with Khate and Tony. I can almost guarantee it. That’s the only reason Billy Bush gave Khate those shoes. Khate did NOT look surprised when he came in with them, and she just checked the sizes, without even thanking him. She couldn’t help herself, she’s such a bad actress that she couldn’t hide the fact that she was immediately thinking about the little scene the DWTS staff cooked up for her and her 8 dancing kiddies.

What I find almost unbelievable is that there have been no sightings, reports, or photos of the kids out in L.A. at least some time on Sunday. You would think someone would have seen them somewhere. They don’t exactly escape notice when they're out and about. Plus, paparazzi always hang out outside the studios where the dancers rehearse and they always get photos and video of the various "stars" and dancers going in and out of the studio. I can’t believe they didn’t manage to get any shots of the kids, but I still think they must have joined Khate and Tony in some studio today just so DWTS could get a little clip about it for Monday’s show.

I still cannot believe that witch would have these kids fly all the way out there for just a couple of days, and that she would have them fly without her (or Jon). She’s in a for a rude awakening soon because Mady and Cara are coming up to the age where it’s not going to be so easy to get them to go along with her nonsense.

I wonder if Kart's jive will be 1/2 the length the other dancers dance. Her waltz sure was brief. Hopefully Kart will be voted off tonight. I think Buzz will stay just because he is so adorable.

Anonymous said... 14

I can see why Tony only let Kate waltz for one minute, she sucks big time. It was embarrasing how he did all of the dancing and just lugged her around like a blow up doll. And after seeing the video of his past partners jiving, oh my, he has his work cut out trying to disguise Kate's lack of talent. She'll be doing the most basic steps, holding his hand most of the time and they'll use costumes and theatrics to try and burn up as much of the routine without having her actually dance. I hope Len calls them on their super slow pace and careful safe routine. And I hope Bruno says "there is nothing to judge, you have zero technique".

Katesucks said... 15

Re: Nobody likes a narcissist:
I agree, at some point the twins will surely be in the audience and the little ones will be filmed in the practice studio with "Mommie Dearest."
If the children are indeed in LA right now and no paps have caught them, then something's up. Maybe they've been kept virtual prisoners in the hotel or ABC and TLC have paid off some gossip outlets to not publish or air any pics that unauthorized or rogue paps have snapped.
As for the dancing tonight, I predict an "improvement" on Kate's part--some criticsm will come from the judges, but there will be some "softer" comments as well.
The judges are influenced by the show's producers--make no mistake about that. They work for DWTS--and they likely want to keep their jobs. If you think that on any of these competition shows the judges are completely objective, unbiased and uninfluenced--I've got some swampland to sell you.
The producers want to walk the fine line between credibility of the show/viewer influence and ratings. They can cook the #s the way they want.

BTW, the kid's school IS in session today. They already had their spring break and they only get Good Friday and Easter Monday off. If the kids (especially the twins) are in LA today, they are missing school.

About VOTING tonight - I'm doing what I did last week which is voting for the two lowest scored dancers besides Khate. Last week that was Buzz and Aiden. I think that’s going to be the fastest way to get Khate voted off, by throwing votes to the two lowest scored dancers (besides her if she ends up in the bottom two tonight). I still think she’s going home tomorrow night. I honestly do not think she had enough people voting for her to save her from the low judges’ score.

Actually, to be safe, I think I’ll give all my votes to Aiden this week because I think Buzz seems to be getting a lot of popularity votes, so he’ll be okay. I had no idea who the heck Aiden even was before last week, and I have no idea if he has a big enough fan base voting for him. I think Aiden needs the most help and if we can save him, Khate will be going home!

Regarding the Voting tonight...

I think Kate's fans have an edge over those that want her to go home. They all just vote for Kate over and over.

Everyone else that wants her to go home splits their votes between too many dancers.

The Kate fans really seem to think that they are the majority but I'm not so sure. It's just easier to vote for Kate than against her.

My opinion is the only way voting Kate out will be for everyone who wants her to go home to ALL vote for the same person to stay. I don't see that happening.

By the way, I think it's the same scenario for all those online votes regarding Kate in general. Most of the fans vote but most of the people who don't like her don't bother taking those polls. I know I don't.

IATK said... 24

I'm guessing the majority of TV viewers either don't know or don't care either way about Kate. I know several people that used to watch J&K faithfully but now that they're off the air they're just history in the eyes of these viewers. True, outspoken Kate fans I think are smaller in number than they would like to believe. It sounds to me like many are in this defending Kate just because they like to take the opposing viewpoint on any subject. This subject just happens to be Kate.

Since I've never watched DWTS before now I don't know much about DWTS fans, but I'm guessing they vote for their favorites but also want to see the best dancers win; those who dance with their hearts and souls and are serious competitors.

LOL As always, this is JMO and observations from watching and reading. I would love to hear from more DWTS fans and what they think.

Dancing is not just a job for Kate Gosselin, it’s an obsession.

The mom of eight reveals that her gig on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars has become all-consuming, to the point where her partner Tony Dovolani is invading her dreams, which are filled with dance routines!

PHOTOS: Kate And Bodyguard Get Ready For LA Trip

In a blog she wrote for TLC, Kate says she now points her toes while waiting in line at the grocery store and adds: “I cannot begin to explain how all encompassing this dancing stuff is.

“I’m still in shock that, I, Kate Gosselin, am learning to dance.”

PHOTOS: Kate Spends Time With Kids During Dancing Break

She reveals that at first her insecurities about her body and coordination stopped her from seeing the show as fun and instead she regarded it as a job.

All that changed recently, as Kate writes: “But somewhere in the last two and a half weeks, I decided I not only wanted to do this, but I was going to give it my all.”

But even though she was determined to nail the dance routines, Kate reveals that her nerves took over and she forgot to smile, despite her happiness at what she was doing.

PHOTOS: Kate Gosselin Takes A Bite Out Of The Big Apple

Kate and Tony are in danger of elimination from the hit show because of their low score of 16 last week. But Kate says the “other” judges in her life gave her high marks!

“The judges’ marks didn't reflect the hours and hours of hard work it took to perfect every second of our dance routine, but when I called home, there were eight judges who all gave rave reviews,” she writes

From Kate's blog, the link above:

"The judges’ marks didn't reflect the hours and hours of hard work it took to perfect every second of our dance routine, but when I called home, there were eight judges who all gave rave reviews."

"And while some 7s and 8s from the “real judges” would have been more reflective of my dedication and hard work, and much appreciated, I met my objective! Proud kids equals happy mom!"

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Too funny! ROL left out the last paragraph when they reported this. Now Kate's telling the judges how they should be scoring her.
7s and 8s from the "real" judges?? Oh, it's going to make them "real" happy to know they aren't doing their jobs. LMAO
SG said... 28
iatk,
I know! She actually expected higher scores based on the fact that she practiced hard??? I thought she watched this show before. Doesn't she realize it's a Dance Contest and the judges are going to judge her based on her dancing skills, not how hard she practiced? I think Kate is too used to people kissing her butt.
Also, check out the pic of her on TLC's main page. It looks NOTHING like her. IMO.
SG said... 29
Anyone else think it's weird that TLC is allowing Kate to blog about DWTS on their blog since it's not on any of their networks?
SG said... 30
I wonder how much TLC's cut is from whatever Kate makes on other shows.
IATK said... 31
http://www.current-movie-reviews.com/tv/2010/03/29/exclusive-poll-kate-gosselin-will-be-first-to-go-on-dwts/
itsaboutthekids, loved your post. Based on Mommy Dearest's past history demonstrated in episodes/photos her parenting skills reflect, the severest of punishment if the Gosselin 8 gave their narcissistic mom anything less than 'rave reviews.' She REALLY believes she deserves 7-8s?!!! She is SOOOOO stupid, 7-8s are given for PERFORMANCE, NOT 'reflective of ... dedication and hard work'!! She is such a DF narcissist through & through!
IATK said... 33
I have no doubt that Kate waltzed (this time pun intended) into this contest thinking all she had to do was show up and she would win. Unless it's rigged, there's no way she's even close to being one of the better dancers. How many entities can TLC buy off for her? That's the BIG question.
Read a bloggers comment from the Kart's Discovery blog, I concur...."WHO DID SHE BLOW" to earn her entitlements? Seriously! WHO? The discovery blog is monitored, highly probable negative comments are deleted as fast as they're posted. Kart's feelings might be hurt & she'll boo hoo with any uninformed journalist/rag mag who wants to belive the Queen of LIES!
SG said... 36
Well I wouldn't be surprised if "Who did she blow?" was deleted from her blog. I wouldn't blame them.
HI 50 said... 37
Nope, the blog was not deleted. It was surprising to read but suspicious minds are perculating with WHY & WHO?! I guess if you spin an incredible web of lies AND have 8 beautiful babies to build your web on...maybe that's the secret to success.
Seriously, it would NOT be surprising if the Gosselin 8 someday have the same problems other child stars experience as adults with because their parents did not protect them in the early formative years. NOW the kids are merely props in Kart's insatiable quest for fame.
She is NOT a super mom...how can she mother when she is rarely at home? Didn't she brag that when she's on tour she rarely speaks to the kids because it takes too long? AND did she brag that she wants calls ONLY if its an emergency? Kart is NOT a super mom. Moms make themselves available and accessible to their children, NOT Kart. Its Kart 1st and foremost.
WHO is at home to tuck the kids into bed at night?
WHO is at home to comfort them when they wake at night with nightmare?
WHO is at home to celebrate their accomplishments in school?
WHO is at home to greet them when they come home from school?
WHO is at home to help them with their homework?
WHO is at home preparing their meals?
WHO is at home to comfort them when they fall and hurt themselves?
WHO?
The book tours are coming up very soon, DWTS was a publicity stunt to beef up interest. So, WHO is around for the kids?
Anonymous said... 38
About the blog...I think the hair in the pic is a wig, no way could she look that bad with real hair! And, again the inconsistancy of the kids were watching...while being interviewed by Brooke (I think, or after the show) she said that they were not watching and would see it the next day. Now they are all snuggled up with popcorn??? AND, she makes such a point of saying that she is doing this to prove to her kids that hard work and determination pay off, but she implies that HER hard work and determination DID NOT pay off in scores (at least the ones she thinks she should get). What she is "proveing" to her kids is that if you work hard and are dedicated you get called a "shopping cart" on national television with 24 million viewers no less!!!! I guess this could teach the kids that they never want to be on tv again?!?!?!?!
TV.Yahoo.com article is pretty interesting about last week's performance. The paragraph below is just a snippet. Overall for the week it said Kate was second to Pam in searches.
"Variety did point out that the " [s]how peaked at 9:30pm, when Gosselin and Anderson took the stage." According to online followers, though, Team Pam easily waltzes past Team Kate: Searches for Anderson on performance night were double those for Gosselin. (And Gosselin didn't even command second place: That honor went to blond dark-horse Erin Andrews.)"
For one thing it's a time-consuming task as anyone who has a blog knows, and for another she doesn't have the intelligence to write half a sentence leave alone an entire entry. Besides that, a blog isn't going to make her dance any better. This is just one more piece of phony hype from her handlers that we can add to the laundry list of activities Kart purportedly does herself, but in actuality has someone else do for her.
First review I found of her performance:
Kate Gosselin Gets Worse On Dancing With The Stars Second Week
March 29, 2010 ·
Dancing With The Stars showed a little of Kate Gosselin practicing with her dance partner, Tony Dovoloni, on tonight’s episode. Kate was continually trying to boss around Tony Dovoloni. We can see why Jon Gosselin had to stray and maybe what dissolved her marriage. In the Dancing With The Stars practice footage, we keep seeing Kate trying to bully Tony and criticize his way of teaching. Tony even got so frustrated that he walked out on Kate. This is probably why Kate did so badly in the first week as she likes to be in charge and doesn’t seem to take directions very well. Kate Gosselin and Tony Dovoloni danced what was supposed to be a “Jive” tonight. Kate was still stiff as a board and she actually looks like she could be the most rhythmically challenged person in America. The judges crucified Kate as this woman has NO dancing skill whatsoever. This couple should be the first to be voted off. At least Buzz Aldrin has the excuse of old bones for his lack of motion and Kate Gosselin has none. Kate Gosselin had a score this week of 15 and that was extremely generous. The only thing that will save Kate Gosselin from being the first person voted off Dancing With The Stars is a miracle.
Okay, I don't normally post the same comment everywhere but I don't want to type this much again:
OH... MY... GOODNESS!!!
I swear if I didn't know any better I would have thought it was a joke.
I think it's safe to say that Kate cannot dance. I think she should just accept it.
She did look good but I didn't like her hair. It looked too eighties. The dress was nice though.
I didn't think anyone could do worse than Buzz (who basically just walked his steps but he did better because he actually danced pretty good the last few seconds) and OchoCinco (who seemed lost).
Kate actually stopped dancing few a couple of seconds because she lost her place. Tony throwing her around was comical at best. They were actually talking to each other during the routine. She's not at all graceful, even when she walked down the stairs.
I do feel sorry for her though. I think she is going to be mortified when she sees the footage.
As for the footage of them during practice, that must have been when Tony tweeted that they had a breakthrough. I'm sure ABC put that in because Kate is only on the show for the drama and the ratings she can create.
Kate just doesn't get it. She doesn't see when she's wrong. She's standing there saying "I don't get it". She's right. She doesn't get it. I give Tony a lot of credit for going back in there and essentially apologizing to her for something she did. She thought it was because it's hard teaching her how to dance. No, it's hard teaching her how to listen. I can't believe she was trying to tell Tony how to teach her. How insulting. There is no one to blame for that footage but Kate herself.
IATK said... 71
Finally, finally people are seeing what Jon had to put up with. Kate doesn't know how lucky she was that he was willing and she just threw him away. Before it's all over he'll have people sending him sympathy cards. lol I really feel for the kids. I hope they always have a nanny around to protect them.
Here's an article I just read online:
Shocker: Another Man Walks Out on Kate Gosselin
Kate Gosselin is currently on Dancing with the Stars. She is also—still—a horrid, difficult piece of work. So it's no wonder that, on tonight's episode, her dance partner screamed, "I quit!" and walked out on her. Video inside.
In the rehearsal footage from tonight's episode, Gosselin and partner Tony Dovolani were practice for their routine—they were set to do the jive this week—and it became apparent very quickly that Gosselin's disgraceful emasculating is not exclusive to shows on TLC. Watch as she berates Dovolani for attempting to teach her the dance, before he literally can't take it anymore and proclaims that he's quitting the show.
When the show returned from break, Gosselin and Dovolani's drama played out to its conclusion, in which he realizes (read: the producers told him) that he shouldn't just quit and returns in an attempt to deal with Gosselin, who still doesn't understand why everyone in her life can't stand her. But it's TOTALLY not related to her or anything!
Who knows if Dovolani will last the entire season—hell, who knows if they'll even make it past tomorrow night's cut. It took Gosselin's husband, Jon, several seasons of Jon & Kate Plus 8 to finally walk out on her, so one can't really blame Dovolani for sticking around, if only for just a bit longer.
One thing's for sure, though: Gosselin is not getting any less difficult.
SG said... 74
Funny thing is that a lot of people who watched DWTS and probably felt sorry for her last week probably never watched her show. Now they saw what she is like. The comment she made about people walking out on her... is she kidding me? She practically pushed them out.
IATK said... 76
Kate could have worn a gunny sack and got the same score. She needs to fake an injury and go home if she's not voted off. It couldn't be worse than dancing again next week although the ratings would probably go up because people would tune it wondering just how bad could it be.
Great article, SG. Do you think anyone: Kate, TLC, DWTS, ABC regrets the day they said, "gee, wouldn't it be great to do Dancing With The Stars?"
Karma, Karma, Karma
SG said... 80
Funny thing is Kate said she wanted to go on to laugh at herself because she can't dance. Maybe if she did laugh at herself and just had fun with it she'd do better. She still wouldn't dance well but at least she would look like she was enjoying it.
It reminded me of the scene in Dirty Dancing when Baby can't do the lift and does that "thumbs up" thing instead.
browneyedgirl said... 81
I agree, Schmecky. She looks like she's having no fun at all and is there for the money and her own (getting more blatant by the day) need to be in the spotlight.
Fun isn't on her list.
Kate Gosselin to Tony on 'Dancing With The Stars': 'A lot of people quit on me in life'
by Ken Tucker
Yikes. Dancing With The Stars “shopping cart” Kate Gosselin reduced her partner Tony Dovolani first to quivering rage and then to quivering apology before their jive-in-every-sense dance on Monday night.
In the taped rehearsal segment before their performance, Kate was shown asking Tony for more detailed instructions, and after a while, Dovolani expressed his frustration to the camera by saying, “Nothing in dancing is natural to Kate.” Getting hot under the collar, he chafed, “I’ve never been questioned in my teaching,” and finally: “I quit.” He walked out, while Kate looked at her camera and said, over and over, “I don’t get it.”
Wait a minute: This was a Monday night, on TV, and Kate Gosselin was making a male partner feel frustration and rage at her constant hectoring? For a second there, I thought ABC had unearthed unseen footage from TLC’s Jon & Kate Plus 8.
After a commercial, more tape rolled and we saw Tony come back and apologize. Kate “forgave” him by saying, “A lot of people quit on me in life.”
Then they danced to the Elton John hit, “I’m Still Standing.”
I’m not going to recap the performance, or the rest of the show. Annie Barrett will be back with her usual peerless analysis of the entire DWTS two-hour edition early Tuesday morning.
But as a long-time Kate Gosselin observer, I have a few bullet points:
• No matter how nice she seemed sitting at the table on The View and in other post-Jon media appearances, when she’s under pressure, Kate just can’t help being herself. To some observers, that just means she’s human and honest; to others, it means she’s reason to flee a room.
• Random fact: Yesterday was Kate’s birthday (she’s 35). It was also Lady Gaga’s (24th). So much for astrology.
• Earlier today I discovered that Kate’s been blogging about her DWTS experience — yes, she’s tapping out entries for the network that seems to own her soul, TLC/Discovery. In her latest entry, she writes, “In my lifetime I have never awakened my creative expressive side,” and then continues that she’s “still in shock that, I, Kate Gosselin, am learning to dance… and then performing for 24 million live viewers.” She adds that she now has dreams about her partner Tony, “my dance instructor, partner, psychotherapist, caffeine provider and friend.”
She dreams; Tony, I’d wager, has nightmares.
I’m not a regular DWTS viewer, which means I’m part of the reason ABC is getting such big ratings for the new season by casting such disparate people as Kate Gosselin, Pam Anderson, and Buzz Aldrin.
So you tell me: Do these kinds of fights and fireworks occur all the time on DWTS? And tell me what you thought of the Kate Gosselin portion of the show. Check back for Annie Barrett’s full recap tomorrow.
Holy fiasco! This needs to be made public. I just copied this from Z's site. The show is a scam and TLC is probably robodialing on the computers around the clock:
______________
Z, I think I might have just discovered a flaw in ABC's online voting system. I signed in with my email that I registered last week and I voted the allowed 11 times. Then, I signed out and at the upper right corner, I clicked on "Join Now" and registered my husband's email so I could vote for him.
But, I realized that when you resister with ABC, they do NOT send a registration email to you that has a link that you must click in order to complete your registration. That's odd, and it can't be a mistake, it must be deliberately designed that way. So.... I voted under his email address, signed out and then clicked "Join Now" but this time I used a completely made up email. Well, it worked! It let me just go straight through and have 11 votes to use.
What a scam! So, that means someone could do that a million times, just vote 11 times, sign out, click to join, make up a new email name (doesn't have to be valid), vote 11 times, and on and on. Ha, I wish I had the energy to do that, but voting online for myself and my husband, plus using a land line and our two cell phones is more that I ever thought I would do, and that's enough for me. I split my votes between Aiden and Buzz, just like last week and I hope to hell Khate's going bye bye tomorrow night!
Thanks. That is fascinating, and it does sound like the system can be played. I guess that means we are going to have more fabulous perfoirmances by Kate Gosselin to look forward to. Heaven help us all. Z
Lauren said... 95
Speaking of voting JW, I had a heck of a time just signing in to vote. Sheeesh! The whole sign in with your Facebook account sure doesn't work. Come on ABC! They needs to make it easier.
I voted and spread my votes all over the place, but I mostly voted for Buzz. He's a sweetie!
For those of you who have never watched DWTS, the normal routine after being voted off is .. the next morning the couple appears on GMA. Normally the dancer is full of grace, talking about their experience, how demanding the work was, what fun, how nice the other contestants were (you get the point). Can't imagine Kart saying this. It'll be all about the problems, other people's fault, etc...
My favorite part of the radar interview is the end when the woman interviewing says oh Kate is so nice and then the cut to Kate saying, Radar, you better print nice things about me, I'm warning you. She actually says that she will be watching them!
jusjellus.not said... 102
Kart looks hard and pasty gray on the radar video. Did they spray her with the wrong color paint? She has a big mouth and is as arrogant as ever. In her mind, she probably still believes she's going to bag this.
Tony didn't respond to the marriage question but she had to jump right in there and agree it was similar. Obviously her idea of how a marriage works (or not) is different than Tony's, who would likely rather be teaching an orangutan to dance than be saddled with her much longer. It would sure be easier.
You could see the pained look on his face last night in front of the judges. I feel sorry for him.
HI 50 said... 103
Just to be a little sadistic, I hope Kate has to dance another dance. That would be so entertaining & humbling for her. You can't teach an old dog new tricks BUT you can humble that old old. Kate could use honest critique from Bruno, Len & Carrie Ann.
Her spray on tan was ridiculously ridiculous (don't you love the Kartisms?)!! She looked and danced like a mannequin! Who the HELL counts & talks with their dance partner WHILE their dancing in a competition!!? Is that why DWTS pays the big bucks? To see a wanna be diva act out for ratings? If the answer is yes, then bring it on. Let the nightmare continue. For a breif moment, I feel ashamed for her. Very brief.
They NEED to PAY Tony a bonus for putting up with her crap! If she equates their dancing partnership with HER MARRIAGE, it will FAIL because everyone sees her treating Tony the same way she treated Jon. Now WHAT do you have to say Meredith?!
HI 50 said... 104
Sorry, the 'old old' was a typo. It should read "old dog." Sheesh my typos are running rampant, "brief" NOT "breif." Should for hit Preview before Post Comment.
Kate Gosselin Wanted Her 'DWTS' Partner Fired
By Rob Shuter Posted Mar 30th 2010 01:22PM
Kate Gosselin on 'Dancing With the Stars'Exclusive: Sources backstage at 'Dancing With the Stars' tell me the sparring between Kate Gosselin and partner Tony Dovolani that we saw last night is just the tip of the iceberg, and that things escalated so quickly that Kate insisted Tony get the boot from the show! However, from what I'm hearing, it's not Tony who's the problem. Inside 'DWTS' dish you won't get anywhere else, after the jump!
"Everyone involved in the show thinks Kate is impossible. We all feel very sorry that poor Tony got paired up with her. She talks to him as if he is her ninth child," sources tell me. "At one point things got so bad that Kate demanded that the shows producers fire Tony and get her a new partner. However, everyone would rather get rid of her than Tony, who is loved by all the staff."
During the March 29 broadcast, video showed Kate and Tony clashing during a rehearsal. Dovolani walked out on Gosselin after she questioned his technique, arguing that what he was teaching her was "wrong." Gosselin teared up on camera, and it looked as though she was going to quit. But they finally pulled through and danced the Jive for the show, despite Dovolani saying on camera that he should quit.
Tony has since apologized for his "quit" taunt, and now has decided he needs to keep on 'Dancing' no matter how "impossible" Kate may be. Unfortunately for the two, they scored just 15 out of 30 points, and may be eliminated this week.
The Access Hollywood interviews tells it all.
Tony is fed up. The night took a toll on him and then he gets told HE'S tough? He's working with an assclown! I love how he bowed out and walked away. Enough is enough.
And of course Kart changed her story again. She said she never aspired to do a perfect routine.
I thought she said she was going to win DWTS.
It is interesting to watch the other Jive clips, especially the one with Susan Lucci. She wasn't getting it either, and to help her, they went to see the Rockettes and learn how to kick--that made it click for Susan and shows that Tony is a flexable teacher who uses what he can to get the point across. With Kate, I think she isn't spending enough time in the dancing studio really working at it, and she doesn't seem to take the time to go the extra mile to learn how to do these dances. It makes me think that it is fake, especially with her cheerleading background. Its like she is trying for sympthay or something???
I can't even imagine what she would be like when she has to learn two dances! And a group dance!
About VOTING tonight - I'm doing what I did last week which is voting for the two lowest scored dancers besides Khate. Last week that was Buzz and Aiden. I think that’s going to be the fastest way to get Khate voted off, by throwing votes to the two lowest scored dancers (besides her if she ends up in the bottom two tonight). I still think she’s going home tomorrow night. I honestly do not think she had enough people voting for her to save her from the low judges’ score.
Actually, to be safe, I think I’ll give all my votes to Aiden this week because I think Buzz seems to be getting a lot of popularity votes, so he’ll be okay. I had no idea who the heck Aiden even was before last week, and I have no idea if he has a big enough fan base voting for him. I think Aiden needs the most help and if we can save him, Khate will be going home!
I can see why Tony only let Kate waltz for one minute, she sucks big time. It was embarrasing how he did all of the dancing and just lugged her around like a blow up doll. And after seeing the video of his past partners jiving, oh my, he has his work cut out trying to disguise Kate's lack of talent. She'll be doing the most basic steps, holding his hand most of the time and they'll use costumes and theatrics to try and burn up as much of the routine without having her actually dance. I hope Len calls them on their super slow pace and careful safe routine. And I hope Bruno says "there is nothing to judge, you have zero technique".
mommyinca said... 138
I saw a video of Niecy (sp?) the other week. The paps caught her outside of a dance studio and she stood there and talked to them for a few minutes. She was very down to earth and gracious for engaging them. They asked her about Kate and she just sort of looked away and changed the subject. She didn't say anything negative but she certainly didn't jump to her defense. I think she may already have Kate's number.
