I'm sure they will be. What a shame that Kate can't spend her own money to take them anywhere. It all has to be free or they don't go anywhere.

EXCLUSIVE PHOTOS: Kate Gosselin Gets The VIP Treatment At Disneyland

There's got to be some advantages to being one of the hardest working single moms in Hollywood!

Kate Gosselin and her adorable brood received one of them at Disneyland in Anaheim , CA, on Saturday, receiving the full VIP treatment and RadarOnline.com can bring you the exclusive shots.

Not everyone was pleased though when Kate, her bodyguard and 8 kids were whisked to the front of the line at all of the rides. An eyewitness tells RadarOnline.com that some of the people waiting in line were very vocal about their disapproval.

"Kate and her entourage were being escorted by Disney personnel," the eyewitness says. "They were taking them right to the front of the lines, and as it was a Saturday it was really busy and the lines were long. Some people had been waiting hours in the lines and weren't happy to see Kate taken straight to the front.

"A lot of people were saying, 'who does she think she is?' and were booing her. But she obviously had some fans in line as some people were shouting out 'we love you Kate!'

"She looked pretty stressed and tired, but she's definitely a hands on mom, she was holding hands with the children and was interacting and cuddling all of them - it's obvious she really loves those kids.

"She left early as the park was getting really crowded and fans kept approaching her and bothering her. I think she was sick of the attention and had hoped she would just be able to spend the day hanging out with her kids."

Kate and her 8 at Disneyland on Saturday so they will probably be on the show tonight.

How nice the kids finally get to be with their mom. What's it been, two weeks?
Hey, don't get too close and mess up that troweled-on makeup with your sticky kisses!

IATK said... 5

I wonder if this footage will be used as part of the Kate plus Eight specials?

Kelly said... 6

Kate Gosselin, aka "SuperFly" the "single Mom Pimp from Wernersville. She'll use those kids for her own goals now, won't she?

Next thing she'll do is put a set of curb finders on her Blue Bus, a big padded roof with a heart shaped window in the back, some dingle berries around the side windows, dress up in a velvet dress with a big velvet top hat and strut their stuff all over television for all the world to see.

Anonymous said... 7

I think you need a third marker on your calendar.

Anonymous said... 8

It seems someone could have stopped this. I mean really, Now Kate and her kids get special treatment. And no one STOPPED HER. NO ONE CAN STOP HER. She will always be like this, just doing whatever she wants with her kids.

PatK said... 9

You know TLC had to be filming some part of this. Wonder if they got the appropriate permits?

I assume Jon gave permission for the kids to be taken out of state?

Anonymous said... 10

More proof that ROL is part of the Kate machine. This happened on Saturday and they are just posting it now on Monday, just hours before DWTS goes on the air? Please.

SG said... 11

Well I guess you all already know the kids were in Disney Land..... ;)

Wow... so why is Radar Online IN Disney Land? Are they getting special coverage from Kate and/or TLC? I only see pics so I wonder if anyone was filming.

It's sad that it says they had to leave early because the fans wouldn't leave them alone to enjoy Disney.

Anonymous said... 12

You don't have to have permission to take your kids out of state.

AMD said... 13

It's starting to add up. On US Weekly just posted she said ""I was in the bathroom the other day with [5-year-old sextuplets] Hannah and Alexis," Gosselin recounted Monday during an appearance for On Air with Ryan Seacrest on KIIS-FM. "And Alexis said, 'I hope you get voted through, Mommy. I hope you win!'"
-----------------------------------------------
The only way it could have been "the other day" is if the kids are in California, because she hasn't been home. They will be on the show tonight. Brooke Burke said a couple of weeks ago that they would be meeting the Gosselin kids. Not "may" be meeting, but "will" be meeting........so sad that Kate's playing that card.

Denise said... 14

I am sorry the kids were aware of the booing but Kate brought it on herself

PJ's momma said... 15

No doubt about it. Then she can have another excuse as to why she sucks tonight - she spent all last week doing press for her crap book and had the kids in LA for the weekend. Poor Tony. And those poor kids. At least they got see their mom though. I guess that's something.

NT said... 16

I'm sure that if the kids are front and center tonite the judges will not be truthful with thier remarks after she dances. They won't want to upset the kids. So she'll skate by another week. But aren't the kids missing school?

PatK said... 17

I wonder if there was actually anyone older than the early twenties nannies who accompanied these eight kids on the cross-country flight? What if someone recognized them in the airports/on the plane and dared speak to them?? They don't merit having some sort of security while traveling? Or maybe TLC hired a private jet for them.

I hope they ARE all in the audience either tonight or tomorrow. And I hope they act up.

IATK said... 18

"It's sad that it says they had to leave early because the fans wouldn't leave them alone to enjoy Disney."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SG, it is sad, but Kate has only herself to blame. If you want to be a celebrity it comes with fans and that's the life you lead. She has put her children in every possible media light and exposed them to every possible personality type. It goes with the territory and she knows that, yet continues to put her family out there and whine when the expected happens. She needs to either suck it up or quit the industry.
Anonymous said... 19
Kate and TLC are in bed with RadarOnline, and it needs to be investigated. There's some kind of payola going on there. And they are doing "damage control" from the incident at the book signing Friday night. She was on Seacrest this morning sounding like a programmed robot.
SG said... 20
itsaboutthekids,
Yes! And at least it said "fans" not "haters". The crazy fans can't let those kids live normal lives then... They can say all they want about me but I would never approach Kate, especially with her children, when she is out in public.
IATK said... 21
I'm wondering if there might be some backlash to having the kids appear on the show. For weeks the magazine shows have been talking about them, but now, if they do appear, people will actually see them and realize all of these children have been without a mother the majority of the time over the past six or seven weeks. It's a bit heartbreaking to think about. Especially since the divorce was finalized only a few months ago. It must be quite painful for them to reach out for comfort and find no parent at home much of the time.
Wiley C said... 22
I am honestly surprised Kate didn't insist the park shout down just for her. To expect anonymity while on DWTS as well as not be booed for cutting lines was extremely unrealistic. Then again, being extremely unrealistic is Kate's M.O.
Unknown said... 23
To be fair, the pictures look they were taken by some "fan" and submitted to ROL. I doubt an official ROL photog was around following her.
IATK said... 24
fans / fanatics / obsessed Kate lovers
Whatever name they go by, we always hear how much they love and miss the children and feel as if they are their own. Many feel they have the right to impose and will do so without a second thought. The children have no idea what it is to have a normal existence. It's very sad.
NancyB said... 25
Do we believe this ?
Former "Jon and Kate Plus 8" star Kate Gosselin may not necessarily have a fan in everyone, but she does have the full support of her children on "Dancing With the Stars." In a radio interview Monday morning, the reality TV mom had this to say about the way her famous eight children encourage her to keep going:
“This is the first and only thing I have ever done that my kids care about...It pushes me on to do better, to stay on the show, to get voted through because, honestly, they count down the days until Monday.”
In addition, Kate had the opportunity to talk about the bond she has formed with "Baywatch" star and fellow mom Pam Anderson during production of the show:
“We sit in the hair and makeup chair next to each other and talk about our kids. She’s awesome. I have gotten to know the Pam that is just a mom that drops her kids off at school. She’s given me advice about what it’s like to be a single mom.”
Of course, Kate hasn't necessarily had a ton of time to share with the other contestants -- with the exception of this past week (when she has stayed in Los Angeles for publicity), she typically travels back to Pennsylvania to rehearse and spend time with her eight kids.
So in other words, the kids get pulled out of school to promote their mom. Did the other moms on the show get the same VIP treatment and special access for their children? No of course not!
Why wasn't Tony and his family at Disney Land with Kate and the children? I guess he is not as big of a star as Kate.
SG said... 29
Good point. I agree... Probably pics taken by fans.
NancyB said... 30
What should "regular folks, everyday people like us" tell their children who have been waiting in Disney lines for, in some cases, hours, according to the published reports, when they see Kart and her entourage go o the front of the line on every ride that they wanted to ride?????
TVsnark said... 31
Our kids aren't special. That's what we tell them.
GoPoshGo said... 32
"She left early as the park was getting really crowded and fans kept approaching her and bothering her. I think she was sick of the attention and had hoped she would just be able to spend the day hanging out with her kids."
And just what did Kate expect?? If she really just wanted to "hang out with her kids" she would have chosen a venue OTHER than the most popular family attraction in CA. Just another photo op/publicity stunt/footage for her new crap TV show.
And what the heck is she doing gallavanting around Disneyland anyway -- shouldn't she be in the studio rehearsing??? With all her talk-show-hopping this past week, it doesn't seem that she's put in much practice time. Guess it doesn't really matter, though, since the show is clearly fixed.
Such an entitled bitch. And for what? A clown-car uterus?
mama mia said... 33
I think all the contestants have family flying in for tonight's show, Neicy said her relatives were there. Kate needs someone to fill the family box, might as well be her kids, plus the nannies plus the security team. And yes, the judges will once again say kind remarks about Tony pushing her aruond the floor and lifting her leg. Meanwhile, the sheeple over on ROL on praying the tide has turned in their favor,they are too dumb to realize everyone profiting off the Kate Gosselin train wreck effect will keep on pretending no harm is being caused to those children.
Wiley C said... 34
CS, Tony's wife was probably used to accompany the kids on the flight from PA.
Wiley C said... 35
I just don't get Kate. She expects to take the kids to Disneyland without anyone recognizing her yet she's paid good money to PR people to make sure she is on TODAY, every talk show that will take her, the cover of People, on ROL everyday, etc. Is she really that ignorant or is it just her excuse for the scowl on her face in those photos?
Seriously, does anyone think those kids had a good time? I think they would have had a better time just with Steve and the other BG in attendance with them.
Lolly said... 36
If the children are on the show tonight, she will squeal and run and kiss each either before she dances or after.
Kate and TLC really are pathetic to keep using these little kids. I truly hope they don't all hate her when they are older.
Denise said... 37
Tony has 3 young children too (including twins)
dee3 said... 38
"She left early as the park was getting really crowded and fans kept approaching her and bothering her. I think she was sick of the attention and had hoped she would just be able to spend the day hanging out with her kids."
This was from ROL? Gosh, not all that flattering, IMO. The fans were "bothering" her? "Sick of the attention"? I'd be kinda hurt by that if I was one of her fans. And I'm rather surprised that ROL would word it that way.
I'll have to count on you all to fill me in on the foxtrot tonight. There's a really good episode of Intervention on tonight I want to see.
StupidSpice said... 39
She will probably get another pity pass from the judges because her chillrens are in the audience. I wonder if she will be flying home with them or stay in Cali cause she did her mommy duties for the week.
Katie said... 40
Oh good Lord. You know what? I would have been booing, too. I think it's bad form to expect special favors over other people no matter WHO you are! We teach our kids not to have this attitude, and yet it's ok in this hag?
Her fifteen minutes were up two years ago. She needs to exit stage right.
Hope she breaks a cankle tonight.
Katie said... 41
If she runs over, squeals or otherwise makes a huge production of the kids on DWTS tonight, I really will barf. I think maybe I'll skip it tonight. Intervention is new.
TVSnark said... 42
Kate thinks she and Pam Anderson are becoming friends. What a joke.
koopdedoo said... 43
Maybe she will leave this week - she certainly can't have had much time to learn a routine.
Oh dammit, I keep missing so much! I just can't keep up!
Nobody Likes a Narcissist said... 45
I'm just so glad they put Khate in another HIDEOUS dress!! My God, I'm shocked that she doesn't tell them the crap they put her in is too fugly. Honestly, I don't think her taste up until now has been anything near this awful. I don't think she's ever looked so terrible before, in stuff she presumably picked for herself to wear. I keep thinking that she can't possibly like these fugly dresses. But, knowing her, if she hated them, she would demand changes.
my9cats said... 46
IMO the kids are there to make the judges feel guilty if they give Kart a low score.
PatK said... 47
I think by having most of her body covered, it's harder to tell how off her "form" is.
AuntieAnn said... 48
CJ said... 58
5-5-5
KariAnn - like the Charlie Brown specials "wah, wah, wah"
Len - strolling around the floor.
Bruno - Tony would do just as good with a frock on a coat hanger.
Nobody Likes a Narcissist said... 59
She is the WORST female dancer on DWTS ever!!!
She sucks!!!! Ha ha, I think she's surprised over the judges' comments after last week when they told her she improved (even though she still sucked and scored the lowest of the night).
After the other lower scores given to the others tonight, Khate should get straight 2's or 3's.
Oh please, she's using the kid excuse for votes again.
Ha - all 5's!! I still say it should be 3's, when you compare it to the other dancers and their lower scores!
Katie said... 60
HAHAHAHA oh my, I was able to see it because she "danced" RIGHT before Intervention and I'm so glad I did, because that was just priceless.
It was SO BAD. So bad. And the judges did NOT hold back, they shredded her. Len didn't shred her as much, but the other two? Wow. Why did they give her 5s? Why not 3s? Or 2s?
The kids weren't in the audience, yay!
PatK said... 61
I agree with Denise--that WAS horrible. She has no desire to give this her all. She's just there to collect a paycheck and keep herself in the news.
If she goes after tonight, she wins (book tour), and if she stays, she wins. She obviously doesn't care anymore.
Linda In PA said... 62
Kate-a-tonic! Love it!
Kelly said... 63
Okay, Kate danced. YAWN!!!!
I have more of a fox trot with my Yorkies each morning while the grass is knee high to a hub cap and their nether regions are being tickled. They dance with more enthusiasm.
Her leg kicks were like someone stomping the snow off their boots before they enter the house and her walk around the dance floor was as casual as a geriatric patient looking for their eye glasses.
She was bad and better than that, her bitch expression when she was being judged. She will be her own undoing.
When talking with Carrie, she yet again, invoked her children in a last ditch effort to win her praise but I think those 8 little asian kids were high tailing it on the nearest rickshaw, out of Dodge.
Kate will be done tomorrow, THANK GOD
Anonymous said... 64
Fugly dress, whiny, lazy - the whole audience was laughing at her. It's so obvious that she now feels she is so popular she doesn't have to put in any effort at all and she will automatically advance with due to the fan votes. Tony's disgust was so apparent. Poor guy.
Katie said... 65
Oh and seriously, y'all: either that dress added about 20 pounds to her midriff or she has SERIOUSLY put on some weight! I noticed it in the rehearsal tape, too.
What the heck? It's obvious she's not rehearsing. She even admitted it after the dance, she was playing with eight little "friends" who "LIVE EAT AND BREATHE THIS SHOW SO I MUST STAY ON!"
Oh how pathetic. I swear I saw a dancer roll his eyes in the background when she said that. Tony almost can't even justify things anymore.
Virginia Pen Mom said... 66
"I had a visit from eight little friends..." That about says it all.
The score was 5-5-5, West Coasters. And she walked again--Bruno said she did better last week and this week needed "a post mortem."
Carrie Ann said it was like the Charlie Brown shows--the whole dance was "wha-wha-wha-wha-wha-wha." (She imitated it.) Carrie Ann actually seemed speechless.
Len said she developed a little grace last week but lost it again.
IATK said... 67
It's one thing to make an effort and be a bad dancer. It's quite another thing to thumb your nose at the whole process, make no effort whatsoever, and expect to be on week after week. What does Kate know we don't know? Or is it just her big ego?
marnie said... 68
Paraphrasing here but (head spinning) I cant believe what I just heard - She actually blamed the kids for being so awful tonight! Implied to Brooke B that she spent all her time with the kids so.....wait! She only saw them Sat and Sunday! She said she spent time with her '8 little friends' so that's why it was an exhausting week! Neglected to mention her media-whoring all week long - while her kids were 2000 miles away.
Per Kate best thing in her kids lives is that she is on the show so she MUST stay on for them! This woman is whacked!
marnie said... 69
Katie, I agree - Tony was so embarrassed and disgusted he just cannot hide it anymore. Kate is so oblivious to her surroundings. She really has no shame. its really quite fascinating.
Nobody Likes a Narcissist said... 70
Kelly, you have to stop making me choke on my water! You're killing me! LMAO!!
Katie said... 71
Anyone who has this DVRed, when the judges are critiquing her, look at the audience behind them. There's one guy who nods pretty vigorously, LOL. And another person looks like they're laughing. A lot.
One thing I noticed is that when the judges are critical of other couples, the audience boos. When they are critical of her, they are almost 100% silent. They laughed when Bruno said what he did about a frock and a hanger. LAUGHED. No booing.
No one there likes her, that's for sure.
StupidSpice said... 72
She is the William Hung of Dancing. She will keep advancing because of her fans. They do not know that they are actually going to make it worse for her. Can you imagine if she came close or even won? If I were a judge or a die hard viewer, I would think twice about ever being associated with the show again. Why? If Cankles can advance every week on the backs of her kids, then there is really no reason to watch it.
Nobody Likes a Narcissist said... 73
So, do we think this might be the SECOND week that the Super Bitch Mother From Hell gets the LOWEST score from the judges but remains on the show?
I hate that there are some other low scores, not too far above Khate's. Chad and Niecy both have only 18's. I say we vote for the two of them!
Khate must FINALLY go!!!!!
Kelly said... 74
Kate will spin it tomorrow and for the next few days. She reminds me of Baghdad Bob, no substance, just excuses. I know, I know, she's a "single mom". It's hard to have so much fun 23 hours a day and text message her eight little sales people who annoy her.
All you single moms out there who have the same problems as Kate, admire her, feel for her and empathize with her, It's tough, isn't it? She's out there struggling for all you single moms. I'm sure you single moms are having mani/pedi's, trips to Starbucks, live in mansions, travel from the east coast to the west coast each week for fifty thousand dollars per week.
You single moms that get twenty one thousand dollars a month in child support and have a bodyguard/handler have it so tough. This economy for all you single moms must be hard, having a chef, a bevy of nannys, a pool boy (REAL PERK) and a gardener while you single moms are on Leno, Behar, Larry King, Disney World and all the other perks you single moms have in common with Kate the ingrate.
I hope all you single moms, can relate. She's one of you. Vote her in all you single moms because she is the voice of reason, your voice, your savior and she stands, dances and speaks for you. Single Moms UNITE. Kate is grifting for you.
Nobody Likes a Narcissist said... 75
Uugh, I just spent the last 10 minutes trying to sign onto ABC (under one of my many names, lol) and the website's all messed up. How very convenient for Khate.
Two points about the trip to Disneyland...first, if she really was hoping to escape the notice of all those pesky fans, why would she dress the children matchy-matchy? I went to ROL to check the photos (now I feel like my computer and I both need a shower); there are not many pics, but it appears the 3 younger girls, at least, are dressed alike. Either that trip was being filmed or she wanted to be noticed...or both. Secondly, as far as Disney taking them to the front of the line...that's what they do. I took my son to Disneyland in a wheelchair with an O2 tank, and at every single ride, employees tried to put us through first. Neither he nor I felt comfortable with that, though, and waited in line with everybody else...a concept that I'm sure is completely foreign to Ms. Golden Platters.
Nobody Likes a Narcissist said... 79
I tried logging into ABC with three different names and I can't get in. That's never happened before.
2exhausted2name said... 80
Wait, what? The kids visited her? Huh, here I thought she rushed home every Tuesday. After all she says it and every media outlet regurgiates it so it must be true.
Anyone see The View today? There was a long discussion about Kate and several barbs thrown Jon's way about his fight for custody because he just wants to be on TV with her. And they too brought up the whole 'she rushes home' propoganda. Irritating.
Oh, and SNL was too funny. There was a skit about an accountant to the stars and Kate was one of his clients. Accountant: "I see you only have one dependent this year - your dance partner. Last year you had eight dependents". Kate: "Yeah, I'm not on that show anymore"
Kate's attitude sucks even more than her dancing does. And she's been programmed by TLC to sit there and clap like a seal...she looks and acts like a mannequin. Does the woman even have a soul! The Judges' comments were right on target, and I could see Tony biting his lip when she used her kids as an excuse for doing so poorly.
Nancy said... 87
Quick question... If she is complaining about being constantly followed by the paps how come nobody knew or really cared that she had the kids in CA at Disneyland this weekend it only came out through ROL tonight????
If the real Paps cared they would have been actually following her and would have already posted them somewhere
Some stupid idiot (in my opinion) actually had the gall to say that it was Tony`s fault that the dance was not good. That K k k kate actually did well. Tony danced too slow and had no energy. He has no energy because he has been dragging a barnacle covered anchor around the dance floor all these weeks. It is gonna make the dude a bit droopy.
‘Dancing With the Stars’: Isn’t it time to put Kate Gosselin out of her (and our) misery?
ABC, Dancing With the Stars, WFTV — posted by halboedeker on April, 19 2010 9:43 PM
“Dancing With the Stars” went to the movies tonight. And Kate Gosselin went down the tubes.
Kate’s very participation in this show tells us a lot that’s wrong about American pop culture.
(She is pictured in last week’s show with dance partner Tony Dovolani in this ABC photo by Adam Larkey.) Why is Kate all wrong on this show?
1. She isn’t really a star.
2. And she should have been gone weeks ago because she’s the worst dancer.
But people keep making excuses for her (she’s isn’t a performer, she needs to do it for her children, blah, blah, blah).
Keep making excuses. She’s still terrible. If she keeps going too long, the show could implode. I’ve seen trees dance better than Kate.
It’s a dance contest, people. The show isn’t called “Make an Excuse for Kate Night.”
No. Pam is not my friend. I never met her.
I just had to share this comment and response from the DWTS message boards critizing Tony. ROFLMAO!!
When you have a student having difficulty you use positive reinforcement (even if you have to search); you don't quit like a child & call students names. You might consider taking a basic teacher training course. You obviously know how to dance, but not how to teach. You are conceded & deceived to believe you are a professional teacher. I have been a teacher & have provided teacher training on the college level. You might put your ego aside & think of the students.
==============================================
Coat hangers are hard to teach no matter which method you use.
Last week, Kate was talking about how she was away from her kids but in her mind, at home baking a casserole. This week, she's at home in the bathroom talking about her stint on DWTS. Next week, we'll read about her piloting the Boeing 757 with her kids as they navigate the volcanic ash and share stories of Shoka and Nala.
Kate doesn't know her kids. Only her accountant does. 8 little deductions.
Don't you think Kart's timing with "spending time with her EIGHT children" was pretty convenient? Um...planned and staged?
She's dealt with the hearing in PA, Kevin and Jodi's return, Jon's claim that she's an absentee parent, and a few less than pleasant book reviws, ALL IN ONE WEEK.
We guess no one wants to read about how to raise a family with a stick up your ass and a bad attitude!
What do U think?? Could Kate be a worse writer than she is a dancer??
That was an absolute disgrace, not only because of the other dancers who are working so hard, but also for the unfortunate bed in a bag that was sacrificed to make that dress. Two things stood out for me. Did you see when they panned to the other couples clapping for them, Erin was doing a weird, slow, walrus clap and then sort of slapped Cheryl in the hip? Like Cheryl might have said something snide and she was playfully chastising her. Then at the end (recap), the audience was going absolutely wild as they showed snippets of each dance, and for Kate, it was like a handful of clapping and one lone whistle and yell in the background. Very weird. I don't wish ill on anyone, but why doesn't she see what she is doing to HERSELF? And claiming that the kids live and breathe for that, so she MUST continue? Puh-leeeeeeeeeeeze. That was enough to gag a maggot.
About the Perez Hilton post above where Perez says Khate's book is at #425 at Amazon - I've been checking the book's ranking several times a day since Sunday evening. This is what I've seen at Amazon:
Late Sunday night(4/18): It was at #286
Monday (4/19) around noon (EST): at #368
Monday at 3 pm (EST): at #425 *
Monday at 8pm (EST): at #359
Monday at 10pm (EST): at #323
Monday/Tuesday at 1 am: at #253
*It's interesting how it bottomed out at #425 this afternoon and then started climbing back up. We should keep an eye on it.
Some quotes:
"Gosselin has been her own distinctive brand of terrible. She doesn't just lose track of the beat and forget steps, she appears alternately stricken and angry. "
"Fine. But if Gosselin continues to survive – unbelievably, she has yet to even land in the bottom two – and this Dancing-is-rigged belief persists and even broadens, the show could be in real trouble. Call it the Toyota effect. "
I'm guessing Tony went into this with a good attitude. He'd heard about "poor" Kate, how tough she had it, how Jon betrayed her, what a hard worker she was--the usual lines that are all over TV. He happily tweeted about her. He, being a nice guy, was enthusiastic and optimistic.
At first, he thought she was just having a few tough days. Maybe a couple of bad weeks.
But over time, he saw Kate being a witch at book signings, with her kids--everywhere the two of them went. He got a first row seat for all the temper tantrums and self-centered behavior--and he learned the truth.
He stopped mentioned Kate at all in his tweets, because what was he going to say? "It's true! Free me!"
He saw that she wasn't a dancer--that in itself was okay--but he also saw that she couldn't care less how it made HIM appear on live national TV. She didn't listen to him, ordered him around, belittled him, and showed no respect his teaching ability. (Kate, imitating his hand moves: "What IS that? Is that a dance move? Well, whatever.")
He wants to say something nice about her in the interview for last night. But what? He can find nothing. So, in complete understatement, he says: "Kate has no motivation. Zero. I have to keep motivating her. And it's exhausting!"
Soon this will all be over, Tony! Hang in there and good luck.
I noticed the improved ranking last night too and expected it--it's just people going to the Amazon page (maybe buying) because of DWTS--it reminded viewers to check out the book or see what the reviews looked like. I'm guessing the higher ranking is a blip due to that and will begin it's freefall again today. (I think page views at Amazon contribute to the ranking but am not positive about that. It's not been enough deterrent to keep me from checking out the page, I admit.)
The red carpet rolled out as the remaining couples premiered their latest dance creations on movie night of "Dancing with the Stars." Kate Gosselin may not have gotten rave reviews from the three toughest critics--judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli--but her visiting brood of eight gave her four stars apiece.
The mother hen told ET it's "so good to have my chicks under my wings." During their recent trip to Disneyland, "I heard my kids laugh harder than I've ever heard before," she said proudly.
In this video clip interview with ET online Kate said the kids have been with her for six days.
Jenupiter said... 144
Late to the comments but I just now watched the video of her "dancing"...
She had a "nice visit" with 8 little friends. Ummm...WOW. A visit. That is parenting at its finest.
Then she ends with telling us that her kids "live and breathe" for Monday nights and she needs to keep dancing for them. Who is buying that load?
disgusted in PA said... 145
So, the kids are taken out of school to help mommie dearest? Great parenting, Kate! Yes, I know, the pics were taken over the weekend--but they didn't fly back Sunday night, did they? When they do get back, they'll be jet-lagged--(flying from west to east, you lose hours and it affects your body more).
I agree with others, that spending time at Disneyland was a photo op/PR ploy to show Kate "spending quality time" with her kids. It's sad, really.
As for Kate "having" to work--well, I gues she does have to work--
-so that she and her kids can live in a mansion on 26 acres
-so her kids can attend a very expensive private school
-so that Kate and her kids can get preferential VIP treatment wherever they go
-so that Kate can live the lifestyle to which she has become accustomed.
I bet the idea of staying home, caring for the kids sans nannies, doing the laundry and cooking is what Kate is really afraid of--the thought of being "ordinary" and "average" is what terrifies her. THAT, IMO, is the real reason why Kate "must" work.
TV Mama said... 146
why are people STILL reporting that Kate practicing in her basement studio? She has not even been to PA lately and her last few practice sessions were not filmed in PA.
mama mia said... 147
The dancing and costumes barely change with Kate, have you noticed? No wonder they didn't even try defining which characters she and Tony were portraying last night. The judges seem resigned that they are forced to hold up the 5 paddles each week. As Bruno said "what is the point?"
But Kate doesn't care, everything she does is for the money.
Joy says they should keep Kate because she's interesting to watch, she looks like she has a broom up... Whoopie wanted to stop talking about Kate because she's given her too much attention and she'd rather have drugs.
Now they are saying producers subtly influence the viewers on how to vote by making it seem like they are in danger of going home when they aren't really at the bottom, etc.
Now they are talking about Omarossa on the Apprentice. Joy says Kate is a star because of her bitchy personality. People want to see that.
I wonder what their divorce judgment provides as far as one parent taking the kids out of state on trips, and if the other parent has to agree. Of particular concern is the fact that they're missing school again. I wonder how Jon feels about that. I'm sure these issues will arise in the new custody case. If I represented him, I would insist that neither parent would be allowed to keep the children out of school for trips or vacations (or let's face it, TLC's filming schedule for their bullshit new show).
It doesn't matter much with pre-K (or "Junior K"), but missing several days in third grade actually is a pain in the neck. They do have regular tests in third grade and homework, (not to mention book reports and special projects), and it all has to be made up. I guess the nannies will have to help Mady and Cara get caught up when they get back to PA and back to school. Too bad their mother doesn't give a shit about her kids' education.
I wouldn't "change" the calendar. She was not "with" the kids anyway because we saw all the tv press she did and the kids weren't there. Jon was with the kids on the 15th. Even if we didn't see the kids in pics it said he was on "daddy duty" and there is no way he would be at the house if the kids weren't there. He is only there when he has custody. Kate's lawyer even said so, no? I would give Kate Saturday through Monday, maybe even Tuesday unless proved differently.
I'm guessing the kids will be at the show tonight? Maybe? No idea. lol.
Nobody Likes a Narcissist said... 176
I highly doubt the kids got to L.A. before Friday. Maybe they skipped school on Friday and flew out to CA, so they could go to Disney on Saturday. Don't forget that Khate did a million tv appearances and some book signings most of the week, so she was too busy for them to even come out there until the weekend for the Disney photo opp and TLC filming.
The question is why are the kids hanging in L.A. today? They wouldn't be on tonight's elimination show, right? So, maybe they're staying there until Khate can fly home with them tonight? IF she does get booted tonight, I wouldn't put it past Khate and TLC using the kids in post-show interviews for Khate to play it up how she's going back to being a mom (supermom of EIGHT!), kind of spinning it that elimination isn't so bad because now she gets to go home where she really wants to be (yeah, right).
Although, I'm still not sure she's even getting booted off tonight. Niecy and Chad scored too close to her. They both got 18 to Khate's 15. And we've seen others get booted before, even though they scored higher than Khate, while she didn't even fall in the bottom two. I really wouldn't be surprised if she stays two more weeks, surviving Niecy and Chad. Then, she'll get booted after that because there's a much greater disparity between her scores and those of Jake, Erin, Pamela, Evan and Nicole. Khate's low scores couldn't survive in that group, but she just might beat out Niecy and Chad this week and next. I hope ABC starts getting more and more heat over this freaking sham of a show!
Dancing With the Stars Is Making Kate Gosselin Very, Very Tired
Kate Gosselin's been having a hard time; every Tuesday she comes on Dancing With the Stars only to be held up for mass ridicule. And even though every underdog tale ever has trained American viewers to expect a miraculous blossoming on the dance floor, she stubbornly refuses to follow that predictable path, and that kind of dedication to non-improvement is wearying.
During her rehearsal this week, Gosselin seemed exhausted and not a little out of it. "Are we swimming or are we dancing?" she slightly slurred to her aggrieved partner, Tony. You're dancing, Kate. Well, sort of.
After another stiff performance, we got down to the real reason behind Gosselin's inertia: "I had a nice visit from eight little friends," she says, and from her annoyed tone, it sounded more like she'd had eight menstrual cycles rather than an actual visit from her eight children. She went on to say that she spent her energy on her kids instead of dance practice, adding that they "live and breathe" to see their mom on the show.
It's a strange defense to take, because she's using her children as both an excuse for her underwhelming performance and the reason she's still on the show and not, well, taking care of them. She's clearly going for the "I'm a mom" sympathy vote, but the whole act just serves to reinforce how little she sees her children, and her vaguely passive-aggressive tone seems to imply that she's blaming their demands for her failure.
But we're not that worried for Gosselin; the audience has saved her from elimination before, and they'll probably save her again — because even more than good parenting, America truly values a good train wreck.
WHAT'S THIS? It is being said that Kate sent a letter out begging for votes? OMG, this story on DListed is hysterical.
Her foxtrot was summed up perfectly by Bruno - 'It needs a post mortem, not a critique'.
When you hear the same joke over and over it loses its humor. Kate's dancing isn't even funny anymore. If her fans truly love her they won't vote for her so she'll quit making an ass out of herself.
Went to Dlisted. There I watched there video of last night.
Anyway after the stars dance, they show the family friends in the audience. I got to wondering who the women that were there for Kate were. Turns out it's Julie Carson May and probably her staff. I went to the PR site and compared the woman on the right in the friends/family shot with Julie's pics from her site.
Don't fall for it. That's the bogus e-mail and special number that's been floating around. It's DListed humor, not a real e-mail sent by her. lol Besides - it references last week's dance, not this week's and we don't vote via e-mail.
Yep, we spotted her last nite. She's backed by Discovery/TLC/ABC all the way.
Kate Gosselin totally just used her kids as scapegoats
| More
April 20, 2010 ι Jarett Wieselman
Last night's "Dancing with the Stars" theme was music from the movies and Kate Gosselin produced some spine-tingling horror. First, she delivered a sleepy foxtrot to "Don't You (Forget About Me)" from "The Breakfast Club." Perhaps Kate had taken a toke from Bender's stash before taking a page out of Allison's anti-social handbook.
See, once she messed with the bull (the judges) and got the horns (harsh critiques), Kate defended her terrible performance by claiming she chose quality time with her kids over rehearsing before going on to guilt trip America, mom-style.
"I had a nice visit from eight little friends. I spent a lot of my energy on them," she told Brooke Burke, adding, "this is the first thing that they absolutely live and breathe for, they count down the days till Monday. So I have to keep dancing -- for them!"
Now, if I pass this through my Kate Gosselin Subtle Manipulation Decoder (trademark pending), the following translation emerges: "Since you love my kids more than you love me, vote 'Kate' solely to make the Plus 8 smile. You want my kids to smile, don't you? They've had a really hard year. Do you really want to break eight little hearts? No? Good. Here are my numbers."
"....Kate Gosselin, whom we’re sure is a wonderful mom, missed out on the perfect opportunity to channel Joan Crawford in “Mommy Dearest.” When judge Bruno Tonioli stated, “Tony could have had more life out of a frock and a coat hanger… you were just wafting around, distant, catatonic,” we couldn’t be the only ones that thought of wire hangers. “No more wire hangers!” But, then again, they’re more flexible than Kate."
Kate Gosselin gives worst performance of show, plays 'kids card' to garner sympathy...
That ... was ugly.
Kate Gosselin gave perhaps her worst dancing performance yet on "Dancing With the Stars" Monday night (which is saying a lot), garnering an anemic 15 out of 30 possible points from the show's three judges.
It was the lowest score of the night by far.
Gosselin looked like she could barely keep her eyes open as she just kind of walked around the stage in the arms of her partner Tony Davolani during their "foxtrot" to the "Pretty in Pink" theme song "Don't You Forget About Me."
During rehearsal flashbacks prior to her performance, she looked like she could barely keep it together at all, even having a hard time remembering her right from her left.
"Kate has no motivation, and I have to push her every week," Dovolani said.
Davolani was obviously exasperated during rehearsals, and while he did everything he could to perk her up for the actual performance, he could not dance for both of them.
"When I watch you dance, it's kind of like the Charlie Brown teacher. It never becomes a formed sentence or a formed move" judge Carrie Ann Inaba said. Len Goodman agreed, saying, "It wasn't really a dance, it was a stroll."
But Bruno Tonioli saved the worst for last.
"What you need is a postmortem, not a critique," he said.
To add insult to awful dancing, when asked why she had taken such a dramatic step back, Gosselin mumbled about having her eight kids with her and devoting her time to them and not to her rehearsals. She then begged the viewers to take her kids into consideration when deciding who to vote off, as she said her performances on 'DWTS' were the highlights of her kids' week.
Really? Highlights? Yikes.
From Salon.com
Kate Gosselin
I've got to hand it to Kate. She seems to have realized that she can act like the most ungrateful, uninspired and unlikable person ever and people will still vote for her. In the first few weeks she made a lame attempt at explaining herself with emotional pleas of understanding. Apparently that was sapping too much of her energy, so she's flat out owning "bitch" this week. Tony doesn't even know what to say to her anymore and is happy when she moves her feet in any direction. They danced to "Don't You Forget About Me" from "The Breakfast Club," or, as Len said when it was over, "strolled" tentatively through it. Bruno was even harsher, saying that Tony would have had more success with a coat rack and a wig. Kate, of course, explained her lack of energy by saying that she spent it on her children, who live and breathe to see her dance every Monday night. "I've got to stay on the show – for my KIDS," she explained. A collective sigh of understanding rippled through the exhausted mothers of America as Kate waited for the cameras to go off, dropped the plastic smile and whispered "suckers" underneath her breath as she brushed by Tony, reminding him not to address her directly unless the cameras are on.
Score: 15
"Whoa! Who knew 'Dancing With the Stars' could be so polarizing? Whoopi Goldberg strongly criticized Kate Gosselin's performance on the dance competition today on 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated), arguing that she looks like "an angry bitch" while dancing, and urging viewers to vote her off.
"She needs to smile. She needs to look like she's happy to be there even if she can't dance, because she's an angry bitch, this one," Goldberg said. "She sucks! She's got to go!"
I 'felt' sorry for Tony until he made the statement, "If you lose, Jon wins."
That disgusted me and made me lose all respect for Tony. Buying into her "single mother crap" is such an insult to fathers that pay child support. How would Tony feel if he was divorced and his ex-wife went all over the place saying he was a deadbeat when he was paying 20k a month?
Sorry but Tony lost me with that one stupid comment. I'm sure he's a nice guy and is going through hell but until he publicly apologizes to the Gosselin 8 and Jon, I'm not a Tony fan.
From Radar:
"But I have to say: there's our viewers, and voters, and fans that vote for us, and I just have to say this is the first time in my life where I'm over-the-top awed by the love of people that believe in us, and me specifically."
Narcissism on Radar?!
cherier1 - thanks for posting that link. I saw it on The View and was hoping a clip would be online soon.
Everybody, watch that clip of The View! They pieced together the best parts from a segment that was a few minutes long.
I think Sherri Shepherd is finally backing off of her support of Khate (single mom, eight kids, blah, blah, blah), not because she realizes how much Khate sucks at dancing, BUT because Sherri finally realized that her friend Niecy very well may be screwed by the producers who want to keep Khate there even though she's the worst one and doesn't deserve it!
It was about the same as last week - or for that matter - the 1st week. Tony has put a few spins, dips, a$$ on the floor twirls with some sort of finish. Nothing much has changed here. It's not a dance and it's boring but it's safe.
My personal fav was that one in the short red dress where she looked like she was smashing grapes, but regrettably, we ain't going there again. That was the one and only attempt at an actual dance.
Katie said... 194
Honestly I can't tell the difference between her foxtrot, rumba, quick step, any of it. She walks all over the floor. Kicks a hoof or two. Slides on the floor. Looks angry/detached.
The end.
I can't wait for the elimination show tonight. She may have some people putting in multiple votes for her, but there are FAR more people who hate her and the longer she stays on the more ridiculous it will be.
'smashing grapes!'
That is hilarious! What a great visual. I tried to leave a comment on her blog on TLC just now and it didn't go through. I basically said what we always say except I kept the kids out of it. She always seems so perplexed that people dont' like her, but she is personally insulting to me as a mother. She is the most ungrateful, spiteful, hateful person I've ever seen that just keeps sailing right on by. I am ever watchful for her inevitable fall. It will come, just not soon enough for me. And I hope it's vindication for her poor family, whom she used and trampled on her way up, up, up.
I am new here and love this. Can't stand Kart. Could it be the kids were not included in the show because ABC does not want to exploit them like TLC? Or, they feel sorry for them and realize that Kart is in fact using them to prolong her time with DWTS? Hopefully ABC will not allow her to continue using them as a desperate attempt to get her votes. If she is not kicked off tonight, I am no longer watching this show. My blood pressure goes up everytime I see her. I should probably limit my time on here too. lol
I'm not sure if this has been posted here yet today (sorry if it has). But, it's a good article. I've been thinking since last night that Khate probably is NOT going home tonight, and maybe not next week either. Chad and Niecy are too close to Khate in the scores, so Khate may be saved. I think Niecy is in danger tonight, and reading Louie's tweets today, he seems worried also. Here's the article:
Here's why Kate Gosselin will hang around longer on DWTS
Say what you will about his over-the-top exuberance and flamboyance, Bruno’s a smart dude. By tying into Kate Gosselin aka Reality Mom on Monday, he almost guaranteed her another week on “Dancing With the Stars” — which means another week of high ratings, which means more exposure for him and the show and ultimately more cash in his pocket.
When the judges really want bad dancers to leave (i.e. old astronaut this season; Frau Phyllis and Hannah Montana’s Dad in past ones), they shower them with praise but still give them low scores. That way, the judges don’t draw the ire of the fans who cast sympathy votes and keep the duds around longer than they should.
Carrie Ann was somewhat careful with her comments, though her mimicking Charlie Brown’s teacher was a little much. And Len was as nice as could be, given the bad dancing. Then Bruno took over, hammered her with insults such as “comatose” and “frock-and-coat-hanger.”
But they sort of played nice with Deputy Nash, who like No. 85 is only three points higher than Reality Mom. Methinks Deputy Nash gets the boot tonight.
Comanche_black--you know, that's a really good point you make about ABC not showing the kids yet. I hadn't thought of it and although they have very little credibility left in my book, I'm going to hope they actually ARE taking the high road, like you suggested and are keeping the kids off tv until the very end. I'm sure Kate would have dragged them out on the dancefloor with her for each performance if she could, but maybe, just maybe, someone in the media is thinking of the kids for once.
I watched an interview on the local ABC station in LA. It was reported by George Pennacchio. In the interview with Kate concerning the judges comments Tony was sticking up for her and said the judges should be encouraging people to dance. Kate's comment "They pissed me off".
Be careful Kate. That temper of yours the rest of us have witnessed on so many episodes is beginning to show.
From my perspective, whether Kate has the 8 out in CA with her for 6 days (though clearly, WHICH 6 days they are seems confusing at best and shady at worst) or not doesn't really matter because I don't think a family court judge would be all that impressed with children having to take off school in order to see their own mother....because she's all the way over on the opposite coast.
I would think family court judges would like to consistency in children/child's life, including not being pulled out of school in order to see a parent....and not having to fly all over the place, stay in hotels, and have all that disruption, just to see a traveling parent. To me, that does not totally make up for a parent being away much of the time.
Also...if Kate does get voted off, I don't see how she can really go home and play the perfect SAHM because she has an extensive book tour scheduled...with book signings every day...and on some days she has more than one scheduled.
