Season Finale of Sarah Palin: Sarah and Dad reminisce about Kate--Here let us bring the campfire to YOU!

The kids were “innocent, sweet, curious spirits”

The season finale of Sarah Palin's Alaska saw Sarah and her dad looking back on the show's significant moments, including the infamous camping trip with Kate. "How could I forget her," Chuck said with a bosterous laugh. "What I enjoyed were her kids," he added. "They didn't want to leave."

Then Sarah joked that Kate just needed to walk over to the campfire to warm up, or "here let us bring it to you!" Haha! (Admin: Strongly suspect Kate wanted to leave all along, that's why she refused to do what they suggested to warm up.) Sarah added that the kids were innocent, sweet and curious. What a nice thing to say about kids who truly are innocent, sweet and curious. And don't deserve what they are being put through. Thanks, Sarah, for summing it up.

I wonder how Meet the Parents is going over there in NZ.

I know it's not a laughing matter, but I can't stop laughing when I see this. Her melt down was so hysterical.

I dont think it was just the weather that upset Ms. Miserable & Distant. She had to stand there and watch a happily married woman on a fun outing with family and extended family...things KG does not have and cannot relate to. I'm sure seeing this made her turn from orange to green.

+++++++++++++++++++++++
Plus -- she was not the center of attention. Nobody was really bothering with her. She isn't used to this on HER show. Everything is always about her. This time the focus was on Sarah and the kids, and it didn't sit well with Kate.

Did you catch the snide comment when Sarah was talking about Todd and how he has been the right man for her. There was a reference to "Honey, what can I do to help you?" It sounds like Sarah and Todd have watched the Hawaii wedding vow renewal at the very least.

Listen to the tone of voice that SP uses to the kids. She sounds friendly and inviting. I am no fan of SP but Sarah sounds sincere. K8s tone of voice with the kids is usually querulous and/or brusque. Any opinions?

I thought it was funny when all Sarah and Chuck could say was "she was out of her element" and then they just smiled! They didn't need to say any more -- the expression on their faces said it all.

Wow! If that show doesn't give a solid bump to the tourism numbers in Alaska, I don't know what will! My entire family wants to go there now. I have heard that she could have written her own ticket to do another season. TLC was on their knees, but I think she made the right move. The show did what it was intended to do, showcase a beautiful state.

There are a few things I find comical about the show gossip. One is that some are trying to spin it that TLC pulled the plug on it. What a joke! We have seen for several years now that TLC powers that be have no moral conscience whatsoever, as evidenced by their willingness to pimp out these poor Gosselin kids to the point of destruction. Why would they end a ratings bonanza? They wouldn't. That's obvious. Sarah didn't get where she is by being stupid. Walking away was a smart move, and I wouldn't be surprised if observing the miserable Kate helped make that decision very easy.

Also, I find it completely laughable that Sarah tried to make Kate look bad for a couple of reasons. One is that Kate did that all by herself, and for once, the real Kate made the cut!

Sarah has other things on her mind, like our national security, our exploding deficit, the moral decay of our country, a special needs child, four other children and a husband, family businesses, writing books, commenting on Fox.... I think she'd been a little busy for Kate to have been on her radar screen. She knew Kate as the mom her daughter watched on TV and figured it would be a fun thing for Piper and a great way to expose a real lower 48 family to the beauty of Alaska. Boy, did she get a surprise! Kate was SO not on her radar before, but Sarah just has a knack for seeing through shams and exposing the truth, and she did just that in her own folksy way, without being rude.

It couldn't have helped Kate's mood that she was stuck being involved in a close-knit, loving, extended family who haven't lost that despite fame and fortune. I'd be willing to bet Sarah was a lot kinder about Kate than she could have been.

I wasn't here last night; my eyes were glued to the TV watching the updates about the Tuscan shootings. I am praying for peace & hope & that all the families overcome this tragedy. I just went to my Uncle's wake yesterday, & him & my aunt were married 63 years. My heart was breaking for her, but she was so strong. My heart goes out to the residents of Tuscan, & the world really. I just keep thinking how the world is so...jaded.

I'm sorry to hear Sarah Palin has no more shows. I was thinking she was TLC's new baby, but then again, she knows when to go out, ya know? She's not greedy like Kate. Hopefully, Palin will come back at the right time & knock Kate off her high horse. I'm sure Kate is happy that Palin is gone. Bummer. Palin's ratings were way better than Kate's, weren't they??

"Strongly suspect Kate wanted to leave all along"

You think?? LOL You can just see, Kate purposedly worked herself up, using every single excuse she could find to leave. Then the ditz goes back to PA, is photographed wearing open toed shoes in 28 degree weather. LOL And has worn them before in cold weather. She should be ashamed, but I doubt she is at all. What a 2 year old.

When I saw the park boasted an exceptionally expensive lodge ($800 per person per night or something like that), I knew absolutely Kate would NOT settle for a tent. With her grifter's mind-set a free tent just would not cut it if there were a $10,000 night right around the next bend. That is why she was astounded that Sarah was "really" going to stay on the sand bar and not secretly pack up and go to the lodge herself. Sarah knows the value of experience. Kate can only relate to the $$$.

I'm glad others got to see Kate in the other light so speak. She needs to be called out. The Palin's never did anything wrong to her. What do the Sheep expect for them to bring in red carpet, heaters, purified water, organic food and tons of sunshine for this woman? This is what the palins do. They camp, they live in Alaska ( Not the tropics), They hunt and fish and do "Family get together's. I was appalled when i heard that the sheep were calling out the palin's. As they did this on purpose to make Kate seems ungrateful, rude and inconsiderate. Hello. That is not the case. This trip was out of Kate's element you could say. She had to be in the cold, work slightly, be around "Family" and eat non catered food.
This never delt with dirty politics. So the sheep need to lay off this. Im not a palin fan or a gosselin fan. But you can see more of family togetherness with the Palins that the gosselins.

I suspect that they are filming the crap out of the kids while they still have some viewers and advertisers. This is such a sad story.

I think we are all waiting for the video where Tony, Jon, Steve, the babysitters, Sarah or one of the kids just goes off on Kate and tells her to shut up, pitch in, help out, fit in and quit her freakin selfish stupid whining. We might see a lot of shaking from the camera man's giggling as the frame lands on her orange pancake ass wobbling unsteadily on the hooker heels as she snivels off whining "I don't get it, I just don't get it" Now that would be an appropriate season finale on this Gosselin train wreck. As in last show, never again, get this lunatic off tv before she hurts somebody.

I was rolling on the floor watching the outtake episode and the comments Sarah and her dad made. LOVED IT!!!!

To suggest Sarah Palin set this up is delusional at best. She didn't even really know Kate that well, after all she said certainly we both put our kids first! Obviously she hasn't even SEEN very many Kate Plus 8's. Also as someone else said, Sarah has a thousand other people she is concerned with before Kate, mostly Democrats, lol.

On the camping trip she just let Kate wallow in her misery and just kept going on with the fun. She wasn't goading her on, she was just minding her own business.

Sarah didn't make Kate bitch and complain like a 5 year old. Kate could have sat there respectfully and wallowed in her misery silently until she couldn't take it any more, then still left. And it would have been without all the drama SHE created. Blaming someone else for a normal functioning adult's meltdown and tantrum is so ridiculous it's laughable.

I was reading an article this morning in the local paper about Frank Sinatra and his philosophy on life, his style with hats and clothes and all aspects of life. I LOVE this quote and I couldn't help but think of Kate when I read it. It definitely applies to her.

*****
“Luck is only important in so far as getting the chance to sell yourself at the right moment. After that, you've got to have talent and know how to use it.”

*****

The only thing that needs clarifying for Kate would be 'the chance to sell your kids'. The talent part -- she'll never have that.

I'm not a fan of Sarah Palin as a politician. She seemed pleasant enough here, the only episode of her show I ever watched.

But Kate? Whoever said above that she was pissed because she wasn't the center of attention is DEAD on. It's not an optional thing for narcissists--they MUST be the center of attention. She's used to being pampered now, so camping threw her for a loop (it wasn't even a primitive campsite, they obviously had a generator), and because she was thrown, she couldn't get out there and lasso the attention onto herself.

The oddest thing she said was "someone's gotta be miserable, might as well be me.". Why does anyone have to be miserable?

Also, I want to see Kate put in MORE situations like this. Now, that's entertaining! Except leave the kids out of it, get them off the cameras.

Even when I first watched this clip I thought with all the hired help she had why didn't she just leave the kids there to enjoy it overnight. That would have been great memories for them to have.

Of course we know she won't allow any of them to be there getting filmed. She has to be the center of attention over those poor kids. What a b___.

I agree, and I have to say a REAL WOMAN would have shut up and put up, until it was time to go home.

Kate is constantly testing boundaries to see who she can manipulate- she's just like a 5 year old child mentally.

What on earth did she think all her complaining/fussing/whining was going to accomplish? Did she think everyone was going to pick up and go because she was unhappy?

Welcome to the real world, Kate.

I cannot even watch that video of Kate complaining again. It just burns me up that she has been blessed with those beautiful children and she can't sacrifice her comfort to make it through one day of camping. Yes, the conditions weren't ideal, but for the sake of your kids, just suck it up and deal with it. God knows they have made enough sacrifices for her!!! It is so obvious, she was planning to make this a nightmare for everyone from the beginning. For someone who has been given so much in this life for doing very little, she is nothing more than a miserable sow and will always be. What makes me more mad is that she was paid for this juvenile display and not only that.....she is rewarded with a trip to Australia/NZ. Unbelievable! When will Karma kick her in the ass!!! It is long overdue.

I thought it was hysterical that Kate believed that once she announced she was out of there, the party was over and assumed everyone would just leave the campsite. She thought the whole thing was about her, while the whole thing was about the Palins doing what Palins do and inviting the Gosselins to join them.

It's like when Bombshell Babe leaves the New Year's Eve party in a huff and then gets mad because everyone else stays and has a great time.

I am not a Palin fan, HOWEVER If she DID go to a red carpet event, I really do not think we would seen her throw her Nobu to the ground and yell "I am hungry!". Nor whine and complain when she just can't wrap it around her head why people reallllllllly do this for enjoyment. After all the reports of Sarah on the many events she speaks at, not one said she acted like a diva, many said she was very nice and accomodating, not demanding at all.

Kate is 35 years old, as old as my oldest, and she isn't MATURE and ADULT enough to say, hey guys it is raining, we will have to do this another day, I am sorry! They all knew she is not outdoorsy, yet even though SHE DID AGREE, AS SHE SAID ON FILM, to the camping episode, did she really think they would FORCE her to go in the rain? I don't think they would have at all. She could have then used her kids, like she does any other time, and say she didn't want her kids out in the rain all day. It is just disgraceful how she acted, she said all those stupid things on film, not Sarah, Todd or anyone else BUT Kate. Kate made herself look immature, silly and irrational, not anyone else.

And yes, Kate you ARE the crazy one, not the "supposed" crazy one, YOU ARE. lol

I just heard on a newscast about it ending for good. I'm curious who decided that. It brought in good ratings even better than Kate. The newscaster said they tried to ask TLC and their reply was "no comment".

If they had no plans for more episodes why wouldn't they just say that? If Sarah decided she didn't want to do anymore for whatever reason why not say that?

I found their response to be very strange.

Grammy, TLC is not human. It doesn't honor Kate, it honors money the same way Kate does. It doesn't care about the kids either, but it sure cares about the money the kids make for it, just like Kate does. She's an adult and can do what she wants, but those children are being used like little cogs turning the gears in this great big money making machine.

Kate was very much out of her element on a camping trip. That doesn't mean that she couldn't have made an effort to be polite. I doubt very much if the Palins would have objected if she'd said something like "I really don't like doing this, but the kids are having fun. Would it be alright if I left and they stayed the night. I don't want to spoil their fun but I really can't take this". There were enough adults there to properly supervise an additional 8 kids. But Kate can't be bothered with things like manners, politeness, putting her kids' pleasure before her own. The only time she ever spoke the truth in her life was when she told Jon "I don't notice other people".

***************

From TMZ:

If Sarah Palin's TLC reality show comes back for a second season, it's a sign she's choosing a big payday over a run at the White House ... Palin sources tell TMZ.

Network sources say TLC "would green light another season of Palin's show in a second." The show scored huge ratings and network honchos believe another installment would be even bigger.

We're told the decision to continue the show is squarely in Sarah's hands. Here are the considerations, according to our sources:

A) She would make millions of dollars by doing another season.
B) If she does sign on, she knows she's giving a clear sign to America she's not running for President in 2012.

We're told Palin has made absolutely no public decision, nor has she informed the network. There have been no negotiations. For now it's total radio silence.

The whole exchange totally cracked me up because the sheep are constantly complaining about the haterz ragging on silly, unimportant details, but here they were, doing EXACTLY the same thing, but hating on Sarah Palin. Perhaps they should look at the "hypocrite" definition that they posted :)

We must hurry, mommy wakes up in two hours. Lots of boxes and ashtrays to empty and clean. We must have the coffee perfect. The cook messes it up a lot, like almost everybody else. That's why we have the complete coffee making directions taped right here on the kitchen cabinet.

The look on those kids' faces when she says you're not a gosselin, you're a palin, etc... is heartbreaking. Alexis quickly says she wants to go after that. Either they can't comprehend her sarcasm and think they are literally out of the family or they realize if they don't agree there's hell to pay later. Either scenario, it's pathetic and emotionally cruel on her part to say such a thing, even in jest.

Dead on Admin. She. is. a. BRAT. She had her jaw set just like Chuck said from the minute she stepped off the plane. She was bound and determined to ruin it for her kids from the beginning. She said she agreed to camping, but not in the rain so she decided to make it as miserable as she possibly could for everyone until she got to leave. And you can bet she was encouraged to cause a big scene about it by the producers. The total fuckery of it all is this is all getting passed on to her kids. They see what works for their mother and they're going to mimic her more and more as time goes on. Notice how Alexis started to throw a fit when the fishing rod gets caught on something (@1:30 in the clip). That's learned behavior. It won't be long until they're all acting out like Kate and then TLC will have lots reasons to film them. Unless or until some serious laws are passed for kids on reality tv this debacle will continue.

I mean really she knew she was going camping and agreed to go(for a rather large sum of money to I might add)so what the hell did she expect? Even if you haven't camped you understand the basic concept tents, cookout etc,. Did you except the Four Seasons? I love the way the Palin's are laughing at her acting like a bratty 3 year old. Those poor kids look crushed, what a miserable selfish witch she is. Any normal person would have sucked it up for the sake of their kids but not Kate. Sources connected with the case tell TMZ ... Kate believes Jon is squarely violating the judge's custody order -- prohibiting either of them from talking about the case -- by allegedly selling information about the case and tweeting his displeasure of the judge's various decisions.

We're told Kate is claiming Jon is willfully disobeying the orders, mostly to make a buck, and she wants the judge to modify the custody agreement to protect the kids from their alleged money-grubbing dad.

Hearing set for later this month.

Wow. Hypocrite. She blabbed to Regis and Kelly all about this whole thing. Which story is she claiming Jon sold? TMZ hasn't even broken that many stories. Evidence please. Proof please. She does realize that Carla herself broke two stories? Alaska and Australia--OOPS. Why doesn't she hold Carla in contempt?

As for anyone, Jon or someone else, selling a story to TMZ or any news agency, I love how THAT is terrible, but it's not terrible selling the children's personal private moments in episode after episode on TMZ. It's not terrible to talk all about Collin's emotional problems in the Halloween episode, but it is to sell it to TMZ. Hypocrite. She has sold more stories than anyone else in this entire affair--why is it okay just because it's TLC and they have cute little music playing in the background while every last detail down to the children's bowel habits is discussed on her own show? Hypocrite with a capital H.

Jon is the money grubber? What does Kate call what she is doing then??? Charity work?

I actually think a judge will laugh this one out of court if Jon would simply bring to the court's attention all the times Kate has violated court orders and Kate is selling her own children. A good judge that is. Any judge I've ever known. I wouldn't even DREAM as an attorney of filing something like this knowing my client was so guilty herself of violating orders. A good judge would say Ma'am? You are BOTH in violation of my orders and I can either hold you BOTH in contempt or you can go back to your lives and start following all my orders, BOTH of you.

Just a thought - based on rumors but for some reason Gosselin rumors have a nasty habit of being true. Month's ago it was said that a private auction house had the McMansion listed privately. Briefly saw a statement on another site that there have been a lot of out of town cars at the McMansion in her absence. There's been rumors that she wants to move to California. Could she be persecuting Jon for child support and contempt charges in the hopes of forcing him to allow the move or face thousands of dollars in support and contempt charges.

Audible Click said... 66

If she could legally be tried in the court of public opinion she'd be stripped of her "rights" as a mother. This is so disturbing and, frankly, I don't have much faith in the judge/s that have been ruling in her favor.

Troy Chula Vista said... 67

If and when then this "story" about her suing him hits ROL, you can just see the Sheeple Nuts besides themselves with giddinesss. This will be all they need to "prove" thier theroy that Jon & "Fuglly" are selling the stories, and probably a few "fan" sites will be jumping for joy as well. They can delfect from the way Kate acts and bring it all back to Jon & Ellen.

It will be interesting to see what type of evidence the lawyers produce. It would have to be some type of affidavit from the reporter or person(s) who received the info, I gather.

Well, for what it's worth, I'll fess up but I've been following Jon on Twitter since he started the account. The only times I recalled where he directly mentioned anything about custody or filming were

-apologizing to the kids and saying they needed to stop filming due to behavior issues

-responding to Kate's Regis/Kelly interview

-that short response to someone that he did try to prevent the Australia trip saying, "you win some, you lose some"

Other than that, he has never really been specific in his tweets. It's usually revolves around what movie or tv show he watched, what he ate, or that he had a good time with the kids.

I agree with Admin with this utter Hyprocisy. Un-freaking-believable.

Seeing this episode clip is apropos to something I stumbled upon last night. I thought it was a great testimony from a reformed sheeple.

I was reading the Facebook page of a fairly famous person (I'll call Celeb) known for telling it like it is. During early to mid-December, Celeb had several posts supporting Jon and criticizing Kate.

Just about everyone who commented agreed completely with Celeb. But this one sheeple kept jumping in to defend Kate and say that Jon was a loser. Celeb reiterated that Jon had endured abuse and that his reactions were typical of someone who had been through that. Still this sheeple stood her ground--everyone was being too hard on Kate, didn't get it, Kate has eight kids, give her a break, etc.

THEN, a few days later, the sheeple returned to comment again--right after the Palin episode. She had seen the light in a big way. She wrote:

"OMG! I just saw a clip (I'll see if I can provide a link to it on my wall) where Kate Gosselin told one of her kids that they were a Palin, not a Gosselin?! She moaned, griped, and complained like a child herself while meeting up with Sarah... Palin on some Alaskan trip. I was horrified. I've always tried to give the woman more credit than that, the benefit of the doubt. I've always tried to see the good in her because she had eight kids but I have to say what I just saw was clear cut emotional abuse. I just lost my oldest son and the one thing that occurred to me is that I would have NEVER told him he wasn't one of us and I never did. I feel sorry for that woman. You don't know what you've lost till you've lost them. She should treat her kids better than that and be more patient with them!"

Wonder how many other sheeple gave their final bleat after that episode?

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said... 70

I think it's very clear many sheeple have gone quietly into the night without a formal goodbye. I don't blame them. I think had I defended someone for three or four years only to finally come around to see what I defending was a piece of mentally deranged sludge who is ruining eight children's lives, I'd be embarrassed. I probably wouldn't want to make a big announcement I had finally realized the truth.

They are always welcome here. It's just like the witness protection program, just pick a new name and start posting.

Gotyournumber, A downright CLASSIC move by an obsessed alienator is that they convince themselves, and try to convince others, that a parent who is perfectly appropriate is DANGEROUS. Kate saying she needs to do this to protect the kids is absolutely textbook. In her twisted morphed head Jon is this huge risk to her children.

Jon is no danger, if he were he wouldn't have unmonitored contact this whole time--clearly this judge is a hardnose and wouldn't let something like that happen absent no risk.

I didn't see a post by gotyournumber, at least not on this thread. Admin., I've noticed you do this on occasion, address something a poster has said, yet we never see the post, making it hard to follow. When you do that, while I can't speak for anyone else, I feel 'clueless'. If you're not comfortable sharing someone's post or if they've requested you not to, perhaps you could answer them in a personal email? I also know at times you comment on a post made on another thread, sometimes I'll recall the post you're commenting on, other times not. Just a friendly request. Thanks.

Did I, sorry wrong thread! I thought it was this one.

If I do that it's because I mixed up the threads. The only other time I do it is if I need to respond to some terrible comment I could never let through but that needs to be responded to--that's rare.

****

Except that Kate didn't "say" this. She hasn't said anything regarding the matter. Once again, you are imagining what you think Kate might say and then lambasting her for the words you create for her.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said... 75

Administrator said... Imaginary? I'm not imagining what I think Kate might say. Kate thinks Jon is a DANGER. Kate's the one making up things in her head. Do you honestly think Jon is a danger to his kids? Here is Kate's exact quote when she filed for divorce: "Jon's activities have left me no choice but to file legal procedures in order to protect myself and our children."

Why would you need to PROTECT against someone if they weren't a danger? Kate thinks he's a danger. The newest article uses the same phrase, "protect the kids" only this time not a direct quote, but absolutely consistent with what Kate has said in the past. Kate hasn't said anything, so to clarify, it's what the article says. What are YOU trying to say, that this article is just gossip gossip and lies? Just like everything else ever said about Kate I assume, right?

Not sure what you're trying to prove. Kate acts like Jon is going to hurt her kids, now you can choose to believe she doesn't, that's your choice.

Imaginary Conversations said... 76

You said, "Kate saying she needs to do this to protect the kids is absolutely textbook." She has not said one word about needing to do THIS to protect the kids. You made that up, and going back almost two years in time to quote her does not change that fact. There is a big difference between what an article says and what Kate says. If I go write an article about you and say what I believe you're thinking, is that the equivalent to quoting you? Yeah, I didn't think so.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said... 77

Imaginary, geez. I corrected it in my last post saying the ARTICLE says, not Kate says. The article says they are TOLD Kate claims. It's not a direct quote, anyone can see that. What is your point? Are you trying to say I'm not credible? Okay then, since anyone can read the article themselves and since I corrected myself, that doesn't make any sense. I let you correct me, I then corrected myself, I am not trying to spin anything here. That's the beauty of blogging is the participation of others and sometimes that means correcting someone--although most people aren't jerks about it.I am human. You don't have to be a total jerk about pointing out one error.

There are plenty of examples of Kate throwing Jon under the bus in DIRECT QUOTES and even on video. How do you explain those away?

I was giving Sarah slack after watching her episode with KG, but now, forget it. Sarah (LIKE KATE) will do/say/pimp their children for anything (mostly money). Then they both sit back and deny any wrongdoing. Screw them both.

A while back some Palin hating political pundit posted a response to the Palin/Gosselin camping trip. He was all about hating Sarah and made a somewhat non-negative comment about feeling sorry for Kate that Sarah acted like a "mean girl" to her. The sheep jumped all over this like the dude was their new Kate messiah. The whole exchange totally cracked me up because the sheep are constantly complaining about the haterz ragging on silly, unimportant details, but here they were, doing EXACTLY the same thing, but hating on Sarah Palin. Perhaps they should look at the "hypocrite" definition that they posted :)

Has anyone heard more information as to why there won't be anymore Palin episodes? I thought it was just suppose to be these few episodes but apparently there had been talks about it being more than one season.

************************************************

I agree, and I have to say a REAL WOMAN would have shut up and put up, until it was time to go home.

Kate is constantly testing boundaries to see who she can manipulate- she's just like a 5 year old child mentally.

What on earth did she think all her complaining/fussing/whining was going to accomplish? Did she think everyone was going to pick up and go because she was unhappy?

Welcome to the real world, Kate.
