Kate on The Talk: Discussion Thread

Kate is scheduled to be on CBS's The Talk with Sharon Osbourne on Tuesday.

In the meantime, check out this interview with the lovely Aimee Osbourne, on why she chose not to participate in the wildly successful reality show The Osbournes.

Aimee feared she would be "type-casted right away before I had a chance to experience other things." And she says she is "more reserved. My private life to me is very important. So, it didn't feel right because my whole life everything has been so exposed. So I feel as though now I'm at an age, a time of my life when I can make that choice."

Fortunately Aimee was a consenting adult who had a choice. Not everyone wants a reality show.

This girl had incredible foresight and restraint. Even at her age she saw how easy it would be to be typecast.

Sound familiar? The leader. The trouble-maker. The little controller. Mommy's favorite. The sporty one.

These are kids, not characters!

Hippie Chick said... 2

Exactly Admin, they ARE KIDS! I read somewhere that Sharon Osbourne regretted having her kids issues played out in front of the cameras. (ex. Jack Osbourne's drug use & Kelly's weight issues & drug problems) so, we'll see if she lets Kate get away unscathed. I am hoping that Sharon O. is as mouthy as ever. She just doesn't care what people think, & that's what I love about her (& her daughter). Of course, everything will be pre-scripted, but Sharon, hopefully, doesn't play that way. I'm not watching anyways. That's the way to hit them where it hurts. DON'T WATCH. Who cares about Kate anymore on TV? She has nothing to offer except lies. That is all she is good for , & we know it.

I'm off to buy Valentine's presents for my boys! (video games...UGH) :) Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Lips moving = lying. I won't be watching.

Enough in New Jersey said... 4

WHAT could she possible have to push ( talk about ) on this show ? I hope they don't sugar coat it & Sharon asks an unscripted question - but I doubt it - KHate would never allow that.
Not watching and plan on e-mailing show that they have lowered thier standaards if they have her as a guest.
I don't see where is is listed only see Cyndi Lauper for 2-15 but if she does appear I certainly will express my displeasure. Hope others do as well.

One positive thing out of this guest appearance:

The Gosselin kids can celebrate Valentine's Day with their daddy!

That makes me smile :)

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hippie Chick, I agree!

Not watching anything Kate Gosselin-related sends a message that she is no longer marketable to tv audiences. No more viewer interest = no more tv career.

This is a CBS talk show? First thing that popped into my head - Survivor: Redemption Island. Kate tries to redeem her image to save her fleeting career. LOL

Happy Valentine's Day :)

No, that was pure speculation, probably based on a photo taken of her standing next to Donald Trump and his wife at some event.

Troy Chula Vista said... 9

You know, aside from her diva attitude, Kate probably would have been the most normal on this version of Celebrity Apprentice. This season is CLEARLY all about train wrecks and people (viewers) tuning in to see them. The Network suits have realized that viewers want to see other people yell and act insane all under the title "Entertainment". Just from the previews alone I would be embarrased to be a charity that Meatloaf represents (and probably shouldnt expect a whole lot of winnings).

MickeyMcKean said... 10

On THE VIEW this morning it was announced that Sherri would be gone all this week so they are having a guest co-host every day this week.

Photos of the guest co-hosts were shown and guess what, Kate is not one of them!

This woman seems to understand the perils of reality tv. It's nice to see she wasn't willing to sacrifice her well-being to the bane of all television genres. Knowing what she thinks, I'm curious what the outcome would have been had she been underage and forced into participating in The Osbournes like the G8 are in their show.

Too bad Babwa couldn't pop some personal, unrehearsed questions of Kate like she did of Aimee in this clip.

JudyK said... 13

I think Kate has basically been banned from all t.v. appearances. The ONLY reason she'd be invited to The Talk is because Kelly Osbourne, Sharon Osbourne's daughter, liked her on Dancing with the Stars.

Happily not watching "The Talk" tomorrow either.

Good for Aimee! Nice to see that her parents respect her wishes.

Kartie Dearest said... 15

What happened to Kart's comment that she NEVER wants to miss a special holiday with the kids? She mentioned that either on the show when they were going through their divorce or during an interview. So no more heart shape pancakes for breakfast anymore Kart? I guess the personal chef doesn't know how to make those.

I agree with Protect The Gosselin 8 - at least the kids can spend a nice filming-free day with their dad.

Let's play a drinking game during the Talk interview. Every time she lies, take a swig of organic Momokawa junmai sake. I'll be intoxicated in 5 minutes.

Banned from television appearances?!? Who do you think dictated this "banning?" She hasn't had anything to promote, so she hasn't been making the rounds. No conspiracy theory needed.

Zoetta said... 17

I think it was interesting when Aimee was talking about how her family had become different in the last few years (since the show?), and how family members were using shocking language that the parents wouldn't have allowed previous to the filming.
I think she was well aware of the ways in which filming had changed their family dynamics, and not necessarily for the better.

Hippie Chick said... 18

Just my little ole' opinion, but I think even emailing & twittering The Talk is bringing even MORE attention than needed to Kate. Why can't it be just left alone? If no one is talking about her, or watching, then obviously, no one is interested, & there will be no backlash, or viewers. That's what this talk-show is banking on; the attention-grabbing famewhore that is Kate Gosselin. It seems that she is fading faster than cold breath on a brisk day. Again, it's just an opinion, but the more emails The Talk gets, the more they will push Kate. We want her gone, right?

I loathe this "woman" and her entire brand! said... 19

Here's a thought- maybe Khate won't actually be at the studio for The Talk- maybe she will be via satellite!

Laurie said... 20

So if Kate is hounded by the paps as she claims, where are the pictures of her at the airport? I guess Steve forgot his camera! Also, don't give Sharon too many kudos....she created and produced the Osbournes so anything that was out there on her kids was of her own doing.

Tucker's Mom said... 21

I was surprised that Sharon O. gave her daughter attitude for not wanting to do the show. It also sounds like the Osbournes got all "Hollywood" and changed a lot once they move to CA.
And not in a good way.
What insight this one has! At so young an age to understand how all that notoriety will get you. It's not all smiles and matching clothing as Kate would have people believe. Makes me feel even sorrier for the G8, that they have no say in what is by all accounts, a life-long pairing with fame and notoriety.

The frightening aspect of the sextuplets' lives is they haven't known a life apart from cameras, except for the short time Jon tried to stop the filming. They've been filmed since infancy, what will their touchstone to real life be, besides school? Even if the show stopped now they're probably going to suffer with something like a Truman Syndrome for a very long time, if not for life. Cara and Mady at least had an inkling of normalcy before mom and dad cashed them in.

All the "ummmm's" and "honestly's" only mean one thing. Her brain is trying desperately to come up with yet another lie. The ummm's indicate a scan of her peabrain to come up with the lie, and the "honestly's" indicate "ok, here's the lie and once I say it, it becomes my truth. Sorry this is off topic from the direct post here (the talk show/Aimee O), but I do follow Jon on twitter and I wish he realized how bad it looks to keep promoting Ellen's blog. She's just one more person profiting off the work those kids have done, in my opinion, because if it weren't for the kids, Jon wouldn't be famous, and if Jon weren't famous, no one would care about his gf's advice blog.

Bless her heart, Ellen thinks she, an unmarried young woman with no children, has enough life experience to offer advice on a blog...but don't forget, we can also see her favorite cute tops, too! Ugh. (Tops that she's getting free, for advertising them on her blog/twitter, that also gets retweeted by Jon, who is only famous because of the kids...)

Head in sand? said... 31

Are there pictures of Jon's kids on Ellen's website? Does she force people to ask advice, read advice or buy the clothing?

Should she just not have a blog because she's dating somebody who's ex-wife is a famewhore?

If Ellen had pictures of the kids I'd agree with you 100% but nothing on her blog mentions those children.

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

You are reading things into Auntie Ann's post that are NOT there. She didn't say that they are filmed 24/7, only that they were filmed since infancy, WHICH THEY WERE! She did not say that they are the real-life equavalent of the Truman Show, only that they may suffer from the effects of such a show.

It seems that the only melodrama here is in your response.

I agree with Auntie Ann. I worry about the withdrawal aspect of this. Can they get back the childhoods that they never really had in the first place, or will the sense of entitlement that comes from VIP treatment, luxury vacations, freebies, etc., be an issue in the years to come? How easily, and how soon, can a child put aside that part of his life that has been routine since birth?

I'd like to get a child psychologist's take on this.

fidosmommy said... 35

The children will have adjustments to make when the cameras finally turn off. They may look suspiciously at anyone looking at them and wonder where the camera is this time. They will have to have time to decompress and get their "land legs" under them as their lives jump from having their pictures posted in various places to nobody caring any more. How each child will handle it remains to be seen.
We cannot assume they will all react the same way. That would be too "Katish" of us, lumping them together as a group.

AuntieAnn said... 36

E-town -- I agree. I'd love to hear a child psychologist's take on this, especially since these kids were involuntarily committed to work before they could walk or talk. It's not unlikely that children of reality tv will be a branch of study all its own someday.

Oh and 'Melodrama', a gazillion apologies that you were unable to comprehend what I said. Better luck next time.

E-town Neighbor said... 37

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

But then again, have they been a pack mentality for so long that in addition to the withdrawal from the removal of cameras, it may be difficult to assume their own identities. Perhaps since this is a "pack," their responses might be very similar because it's all they have ever known. Not identical, but similar. It's kind of like the twin phenomena, where each of them thinks the same, has the same preferences, can complete the other's sentences.

Isn't Twisted Kate scheduled to air in the spring? We're almost there - where's the show?

Auntie Ann stated that they have never known a life apart from the cameras which is a complete exaggeration. 90% of their lives are apart from the cameras. Their entire lives are not a TV show and thus the comparison to the Truman show is a huge stretch.

OT just a little. Does it amaze only me that the fans are going on about how unimportant it is that Kate parked in a fire zone? They have stunned me before with their defense of everything this woman does but to approve of her parking in a fire zone is one of the most ridiculous I've ever heard.

Sorry, just needed to say that. It's hard to keep up with them and what they think is acceptable as long as it is Kate doing it.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said... 40

but to approve of her parking in a fire zone is one of the most ridiculous I've ever heard.
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
Perhaps they've never had to call 911 before to understand how important it is to respect the rules we've set up to ensure emergency response workers can always get to the scene quickly. Maybe I've called 9-1-1 more than average. I called a few times to report a drunk driver, I stumbled upon a brush fire and called for that. The scariest one was when my parent had fallen into a diabetic coma during the night. I will forever be grateful for both the calm 911 operator on the other end talking us through, and the EMTs who brought her back to life. One of whom happened to be an old high school classmate I had no idea was now an EMT. My other parent was in a total panic over it and useless. Thank God for 911.

I would think it would be very simple to understand why fire zones should not be parked in. But then again maybe if emergency response people have never saved the life of your loved one you wouldn't.

Blocking emergency vehicles is never acceptable. Not for two minutes, not for even two seconds.

Melodrama -- so you disagree with Kate when she claims the show is their life and their life is the show? Come on now, you know what I wrote. I said they will probably suffer for having their lives taped for anyone in the world to see. The six have had cameras in the home since Kate invited them in for the first 'documentary' to use the term loosely. They were babies. Don't try to minimize their time in front of the camera and the bearing it will have on their lives in the future.

Yes, I do know what you wrote and I fundamentally disagree with it. You claimed that they have never known a life apart from the cameras, which is quite simply a false statement. Cameras are a small part of their lives. Does being filmed have an impact on their lives? Of course. That is far removed from claiming, as you did, that they have never known a life away from the cameras.

AuntieAnn said... 43

Admin -- My son has Type 1 diabetes and I've had the same situation a few times. Even though I'm trained to bring him out of it, I call 911 for safety's sake. I don't care how important they think they are.

Thanks for posting this!

The Osbournes were too crazy for my taste, but they must have done something right to raise a daughter to make such a wise decision.

Weren't the Osbournes one of the first reality tv families?

I was surprised by Aimee's admission that her family's lifestyle and attitude changed while filming for their reality show. I assumed they were always that way, but it just goes to show how reality tv can change people.

She also said she was uncomfortable by this and how she was embarrassed by her family talking about their alcohol and drug problems on national tv.

It makes me wonder if the Gosselin kids, especially the twins, have similar feelings to how their family has changed publicly on tv. Are they, too, embarrassed and/or uncomfortable about things that are shown on this show?

I wonder if Aimee Osbourne does any public speaking about this. Wouldn't she make a good advocate for how reality tv can negatively affect families?

The Osbournes aren't perfect but their children have seemed to grow-up and clean up their act. Let's hope the Gosselin kids have a chance to overcome all of this just like the Osbourne kids (without all the drugs and alcohol problems).

One of my friends from law school, his mother is a close friend of Sharon Osbourne. They adore her, have nothing but good things to say about her. He's around Jack's age and although they aren't really close he thinks he's a great kid.

Remember the family ended their reality show early. This show was not cancelled, the family quit. They probably could have gone on several more seasons, but they walked away. They had had enough. They were talking about quitting after season 2. I've always said the sin for the Gosselins was not in the making of a reality show in the first place. It was in the not knowing when to walk away from the madness.

On a side note, I watched that entire show and it was really unexpected what I saw. I saw two very loving, dedicated parents. Overall good kids who weren't any worse than any other teenager. And the family surrounding themselves with good people. You would expect this family to be friends with hard-core metal rockers. But no, who are the kids' friends? Mandy Moore and Elijah Wood. Mandy freaking Moore? I mean you cannot get any more squeaky clean.

A quick shout-out to you for all the work and effort you put into this blog. You, among other Gosselin blogs on Team Kids, deserve recognition for bringing awareness to the effects of tv on families and kids.

It wasn't until reading various Gosselin blogs, including yours, that I realized I was participating in the downfall of the Gosselin family.

It might not seem like much, but even convincing one more Gosselin viewer why they should stop watching is a small victory, nonetheless.

Baby steps.

I LOVED the Osbourne's show. I really love Kelly. She is outspoken yet sweet. I love that her & Sharon are no-hold barred when it comes to their feelings. Kelly has been on Joan Rivers Fashion Police, & she was super funny. You don't see Jack Osbourse much at all in the news anymore. He has moved on, cleaned up, & gotten on with his life as far as I know. So, it can be done. You CAN go back. I'm glad Sharon & Kelly decided to stay in the public eye, because they aren't doing anything negative or anything to hurt anyone, like OH, say, EXPLOIT KIDS.

Kate, IMO, is done. She couldn't even book The View to plug her upcoming shows? That says a lot about where she stands now in the public eye. No one wants to touch her with a 10 foot pole. She is toxic. The Talk? Who cares? They really aren't the BEST show out there. They're on at 2:00, that's the time most parents are picking their kids up from school, etc. It's good to see Kate not getting any coverage AT ALL. Will TLC even air her shows? She's fading fast...

The Osbourne kids know when to "turn it on" and when to "turn it off". Sharon O. was being interviewed (I think it was The View) and was asked about the foul language on the reality show. Sharon asked, "Do they speak that way to you?" The answer was no. Sharon said they were aware that foul language was not appropriate in the general public, and her children were raised to say whatever they wanted at home and to watch their P's and Q's in
public.

Of course there is the argument that being on TV does put you in public, but Sharon's logic was that they were in their home, doing what was allowed in their home. Once the front door opened, they were to be polite and reserved.

I'm thinking that most of us would behave quite differently at home than we do in public. We might even dress differently. Since I live alone, that goes double for me. :-)

Sadly, the children have already assumed the descriptions made by their mother.I was really shocked to hear Alexis say "I'm weird" in the end of "Rough Ride".Kate and Jon labeled her first as different from her siblings, wild child,crazy.I believe Mady is acting out both because she wants attention and because she was LABELED the difficult one.Same thing goes for Joel whom they've described as the loner, the shy one, the one EVERYONE FORGETS ABOUT!

"The problem with labeling a child’s behavior is that a child can often live up to the label given to him. If a child is labeled difficult often enough, he may tend to act more difficult than he otherwise would in order to live up to the label. This is called a self-fulfilling prophecy.
According to Mary Sheedy Kurcinka, author of Raising Your Spirited Child [Harper Collins, 1992], negative labels can be devastating for kids. Building a healthy self-esteem is an impossible task when a child has to overcome a negative label. Unfortunately, labeling children often brings their negative characteristics to the forefront and makes it easy to over look the positive characteristics."

Full article here:http://www.suite101.com/content/negative-labels-and-children-a64720

I noticed that the sheeple are using these labels when saying why they LOVE a certain Gosselin child(loving a stranger child sounds weird to me...)
Cara-the caring one
Mady-the mean one
Alexis-the outgoing but loud one
Aaden-The proffesor(poor child will never lose this nickname)
Joel-the quiet,into fashion one
Hannah-mommy's helper,the mature one(yeah,okay, if you say so)
Leah:the princess
Collin:the stubborn one ,helper boy

I even saw a comment which said something like, oh wow, the names to fit the twins:cara-calm , mady-mad.Wow, seriously?

These kids will really suffer later in life if they are not already suffering because of these labels.I think Jodi and Kevin mentioned at one of the hearings that one child already had trouble at school because she had been labeled the difficult one.

At 10, I would think the twins are the most aware and the most embarrassed by what is shown on TV and/or just being on TV.

They go to a school where many of their classmates come from wealthy families. I can't help but think the girls figured out that the *parents* of the other kids go to work, have the career and provide for their families and their kids get to be kids, go to school and have a relatively normal and private life. For the most part, child performers who go to a school where none of the other children are in the public eye haven't fared well. Christina Aquilera said in an interview once that when she went back to her high school to attend the prom, no one would speak to her. When the DJ played "Genie in a Bottle" everyone cleared the dance floor and sat down. She was mortified. Demi Lovato was bullied mercilessly in school and it is still affecting her.

The twins have been showing for some time that they don't seem comfortable on camera. Left up to only Kate and TLC, this will continue to be ignored. This is a perfect arguement as to why a parent who is making millions of dollars per year putting her children on TV is not capable of making an impartial decision about whether to continue the show or not.

Fandoms are bizarre things and it's frightening how far stuff like this can go.
Esperanza Spalding wins an award over Justin Bieber and his fans flip out and start issuing death threats and hack her Wikipedia page, just like they did to Selena Gomez when there were hints that they were a couple.
Twilight fans are on record as assaulting people who don't like the series.
Kate fans threaten people's jobs and Jon's life.
Why do none of these people come out publicly and tell their fandom to knock that s**t off?

What is so difficult for you to understand? I understand what she she wrote but disagree with it. The premise of the Truman Show is that his entire life was a television show. Auntie Ann claimed that these kids have no lives apart from the cameras and then referenced "Truman syndrome." Should she just not have a blog because she's dating somebody who's ex-wife is a famewhore?

If Ellen had pictures of the kids I'd agree with you 100% but nothing on her blog mentions those children.

I'm not saying she shouldn't have a blog. I'm saying she shouldn't be using Jon (who is only famous because of the kids) to promote it.

If Ellen had as much integrity as many seem to think she does, she'd tell Jon to stop promoting her blog on his twitter account. It looks bad.

Why is Aaden the "professor"? Because he wears glasses? (is he the one who wears glasses) If so, that is the dumbest thing ever. That's like me calling myself the "All Knowing Herbal Queen" because I'm Family Herbalist certified & studying to be a clinical herbalist. Uh, I am SO not. Labels are bad. Unless on an article of clothing. Or a bag...or shoes...(you guys know me, shopoholic here) I may be a Hippie, but I do love me some shopping!

Anyway, my point is, labeling a child, or anyone for that matter is wrong. Children can be cruel. Is this what Maddy has to look forward to in HS? Being known as a "bully", because she was "the mean one"? That is BS. She is NOT mean. She is truthful, & calls out her mom's crap. She is headstrong & willful. She calls it like it is. NOTHING is wrong with that, at all. I adore people like that. I am rooting for Maddy to be the one to finally stand up to Kate & say "This is it mom. I'm done, we're all done. No more." She did it when they went fishing, she'll do it again. She's no more mean, than Aaden is a frigin professor.

Well, there might just be some hope. The Talk's opening said they will discuss this Miley news. So, unless this show is as horrible as The (moronic)View, I can't see how the Miley/Hannah Montana story can be discussed in the opening segment, yet all issues regarding children on tv be ignored during Khate's segment.

Nobody Likes a Narcissist said... 65

Btw, in the opening to the show, when they announced the guests and topics, they showed some video clips of Khate and the kids. I think the footage might be from their Australian vacation. I wouldn't know, I never watch the show, only read here. But, there were some beach shots (Khate had a fugly ensemble consisting of a white bikini top and a pink bottom). There was also footage of her in a wetsuit surrounded by the kids on a beach. Also, what looks like posing by a fence for a photo. These look like possible scenes from an Australia episode, which is probably what she's on the show to promote.

I just read the article and I think:

a) as long as Miley was underage no one in this world could have stopped him from parenting his own daughter and making the decisions for her

b)It is kind of suspicious that he speaks up now, when the show ended or was canceled or whatever.It is however possible that he,like Jon Gosselin was forced to honor his contract and was unable to speak up.Remember how everyone thought Jon Gosselin wanted the kids off TV after he found out he was out of the show? And "bastard" Jon even dared to lie about his children having emotional problems because of the cameras in his search for fame..well except for the part where two months later two of his kids were expelled for behavioral problems of course... So,I am reluctant to drawing any conclusion regarding this matter.

So, Kate's in LAX on Valentines Day? Hmmmm...

That's really sad. I watched the Valentines Day clip on another site. She was just gushing about how "special" and "romantic" the day is. Heart-shaped pancakes for breakfast. Heart-shaped sandwiches for lunch, etc. etc.

NOW? She jets off to LAX on what she used to refer to as a "special" day? And let's not forget that everything she does, she does for the kids. I wonder if she made the heart-shaped sandwiches ahead of time to put in the lunch boxes? Can't forget a heart-shaped "crunchy thing" either.

It's CRUEL to the children not to let Jon stay there when she is away. She is rotten to the core. I can understand if she doesn't want Ellen staying there, but not Jon. He is their father and they should have at least one parent with them when the other one is not around. It's just plain CRUEL.

I just checked cbs.com. They do have full episodes of The Talk online. So, today's episode should be available tomorrow online.

And, yeah, she has the Farrah Fawcett hair, which I think looks totally dated and dumb.

Also,the Australia show wil be on sometime in April. No one said anything about Steve and they did not ask any hard questions. Those women kissed her butt just like every other show she has been on.There were other lies but I'm tired of typing.

Wilson said... 72

Wow! She looked really really baaaaaadddd. I'm not just saying that to snark, because usually she looks pretty good when she has hair and make-up done for her. But today she looked like she had been swimming and let her hair air dry. Really flat and frizzy amd fried looking ( that feathered look is not very flattering at all and she is WAY too blond ). Her spray tan was very blotchy and orange, and she looked very large and thick next to the other women.

I 'bout spit my Bon's Bon's out ( I kid, I kid ) when she said she would never go on tv and bash Jon. LMAO!!!! She actually sat there and said, "I will never go on the Today Show or wherever and bash their father."

Does this woman hear herself speak? Seriously?
All she does is bash their father any chance she gets.

Very telling that Sharon and Holly were not there during Kate's interview, but all five women are there to inteview Cyndy Lauper.

If you didn't watch, you didn't miss anything. It was typical Kate and "How can I martyr myself today? I do it all, I cook, I do math homework, I am woman hear me roar."

I could see Sara was trying to push the 'you have to have help' thing in a round about way, but Kate was all "I do it myself."
Julie Chen just pretty much sat there like a bump on a log.
NO one wanted to ask her the tough questions. Pansy hand holding...

As far as the Billy Ray, Miley Cyrus story goes - bad parenting.

Nobody Likes a Narcissist said... 77

Same old bullcrap lies, even older looking face, horrible Farrah fake hair.

She claims the kids missed the crew, they're like dads, like family, hang out with the kids, read books to them. The crew will never go away, always be friends. Yeah, right. Yet, none of them were in contact at all when filming was shut down. Newsflash Khate: you and your kids are just a job to them, end of story. She seems so concerned that they missed the crew and need them in their lives, but no concern about their father. Unbelievable.

Then she had the nerve to claim she never bashes Jon on tv. She only answers things that are out there, that she had to address. She said 99% of what's online about her is all lies - ha, I thought she never read any of it! I have a headache now, so sorry I lifted my Khate ban to watch this crap today.

Two segments for this loser? Sheesh. Yup, the second segment opened up with footage from the Australia trip. In discussing the long trip, she puts on her supermom act, she has toys from the dollar store and Target that they've never seen before to entertain them on the flight. She never gets any sleep, poor thing. She's so defensive, she obviously came prepped for questions about the long flight. She preemptively claimed the kids loved the plane. Uh huh, yeah.

No questions about pulling the kids out of school for the trip. Let alone, the kindergarten expulsion.

She has no child care, only a part time babysitter, three and a half days a week. She's mostly home, is hands on, cooks for them, does the math homework, that's where her heart is. They're all kissing her butt now. She does so much as a mom, feels guilty even having any help. But, they're older now and don't even need her as much.

The segment ends with Julie Chen saying Khate Plus 8 returns this April on TLC". Puke.

Weird - go cross country to promote a show two months in advance of it airing? Something doesn't smell right.

I wasn't going to watch it. In fact, as a disclaimer I neither like nor watch TV during the day. However, I was taking a lunch break and noticed it was 2:15. So I turned it on and saw her Heinous wasn't on yet.

Let's see. (I don't have any idea whose these hosts are except for Sara Gilbert.)

Here are a few paraphrases....with my snark.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
New line from Kate: "To all the moms online out there who criticize me, you'd do it if you could!"
[So she IS reading these blogs?]
Host A: "Yeah, if a reality TV show came knockin' at their door, they'd do it!"
Host B: "Well, not all of them would do it."
[Gosh, thanks, Ladies, for giving some of us "moms" in America the benefit of the doubt. Most of us would NOT sacrifice our family and privacy for $$$. You hosts love the limelight. Don't speak for the rest of us, please.]
~~~~~~~~~~~

Kate's proclamation: "You will never seem ME go on the Today Show and criticize their father!"

(Audience claps)

[Really, Kate?? Really? Did your nose just grow? Ack.]

~~~~~~~~~~
Kate: "A bunch of dads come to our home with cameras" or something like that.
AND
"The dads go with us on our trips. They're part of us, they're one of us."
[So, Kate is now trying to soften the word "crew" with "dads" She didn't use the word "crew" AT ALL, but "dads" several times. Aw, that's sweet. They're all just a bunch of fun-lovin' dads. No nasty pedophiles there! And what a nice slap in Jon's face. Heck, he's not even needed with all those OTHER dads there!]
Host B: "But what happens when the show's over."
Kate (Slowly and emphatically): "BUT THEY WILL ALWAYS BE IN OUR LIVES."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Ol' Monster Mom's coming back on the air in April. Whee.

That was truly awful. All I can say is, it's making going back to work a pleasure. Wish I could forget I turned it on. Very sorry I contributed to the ratings. I haven't watched Snake+8 in year and will never put it on again. And that's it for me on any other shows with her, too.

Clearly, someone at TLC is so fond of Khate that they gave her this west coast trip as a little Valentines Day present to her and Steve. A couple of days away, in a nice hotel, on somebody else's dime. It certainly is extremely odd timing to go do a talk show to promote a show that will not even be back on the air for two months. I don't think it was at all coincidental that she happened to go out to L.A. on Valentines Day. It gives Steve a good excuse to be away from his wife, he has to work, you know. What a joke.

Gee, since the show won't be on for two months and does not need to be promoted this week, isn't it strange that supermom didn't say No, I don't want to be away from my kids on Valentines Day? She really did not have to do a talk show appearance two months early. It could have at least waited another week (or a really, a month or more).

Well I just watched Kate spin her web of lies. They did ask some harder questions but she was talking so fast and lying so hard there was no come back. I just got my HDTV and wanted to see her on it and I noticed that her chest turns red and motley when she is lying, just like the girl I know who reminds me of her. Same lies. My kids love the crew, they will always be part of our lives, I have one baby sitter who helps me part time, the kids love to fly, I have never and will never bash Jon on TV, blah, blah. The special is not going to be on until April. The only reason I can think of that she was there was the same ole same ole - how great the kids are, how much they love to film, how they are just playing while I am working, how she is almost always home? What a piece of work. Oh and the kids rarely need her, she only sees them when what ones of them that can't help themselves want something to drink, they are so busy playing quietly amongst themselves she doesn't even know where they are in the house. What? We know better. We unlike the other 3/4 of the nation have seen your show. Oh and what you read about her online is so not true. Okay.

How many times can the same crap spew forth from her lips? It would seem to me she would be ratings poison for these talk shows anymore.

Who wants to bet that the subject of the kids' long filming absence from school AND the expulsion were strictly forbidden as discussion topics?

I have to say, it's absolutely fascinating to hear that everytime Kate opens her mouth, she contradicts herself over and over. A simply remedy would be for Kate to watch all her past interviews, and take some notes... or maybe start using Ginkgo Biloba?

Selective memory is a b*tch.

Leah Remini wrote something very interesting on her Facebook page- in short, it's not their decision to have Kate on, but you can't invite people to your house only to attack them.

I guess so, huh?

Maggie said... 85

I will say it again. Someone needs to write a book about Kate's lies. The writer simply needs to review all J&K Plus 8 shows, her magazine interviews, her books, and her guest tv show apppreances on Today, View, The Talk ect. And let Kate hang Kate with her own lies. The book would be 100% factual just using her own words and actions to disprove previous actions and words she said or did. No need to get interviews about Kate from family and friends.

Her appearance today on The Talk had so many lies in it. She said that she never bashed Jon and only talk about the divorce in RESPONSE whatever was out there. That is a lie. Simply go to her last interview on Regis and Kelly in Sept. and she will prove herself to be a huge liar. She bashed Jon for NO reason 9 months AFTER the divorce.

Then she commented how the crew will be ALWAYS be in her family even if the show stops. Well, that is a lie. When they stopped filming in Oct. 2010 the crew didn't see the kids doing the many months when the filming stopped. Kate said this.

She lied that she only has a part-time babysitter 3 days a weeks. Kate said herself on tape she has a full-time nanny and a part-time nanny. And we know she travels with 3 full-time people (crew not included) to help her. Remember Jamie, Steve, Ashley and others.

I fear that Kate is going to be making ALL the talk shows to promote this huge trip in her April special Kate Plus 8. I wish I didn't know that she was going to be on The Talk. I am sick about her lies and how she gets away with it.

But according to what you guys are saying she said today on that farce of an interview, she HAS TO BE a narcissist. She actually lives in some alternate universe. We have SEEN her out so often when we know they are in the care of others and she claims she only has part time help? Good grief, the not bashing their father? I wonder if she really thinks anyone other than the 10 or so fans that are so vocal believe one word she is saying. And if she actually says 99% of what is out there about her is lies, first off -- she has repeatedly said she doesn't care what people think of her and she doesn't listen to what people say about her. Just another lie. She has taken comments directly from these blogs and sat on a TV show to answer them with her version to try and clean up her image. What a disgusting piece of cr*p she is. The next breath she says the crew is like the childrens dad. Correct me if I'm wrong isn't that sort of a bash in itself towards Jon. She could of said family, but no she mentions Dad a couple of times? Totally sad.

Zoetta said... 92

I didn't see it, but apparently Kate said the crew were just a bunch of dads that came in and played with the kids and filmed them, but they were just dads really and would always be in the children's lives.
This is starting to have a flavour that is not only delusional, but sick. I find myself wondering what experiences Kate may have had that make dads interchangeable, in her mind, with paid employees. It also implies a much closer relationship than I would allow my children to have with someone who was taking pictures of them for money. And this appears to be all in Kate's head and not based on reality. As for their permanence in the children's lives, the present crew did not see the kids at all when the show was on hiatus. Another one of Kate's empty promises?

Happily I didn't see this today. I think I got the gist of it by reading all your comments and, as usual, it was all BS. I do, though, have a couple of comments related to what I've read so far.

For starters, as far as I know, no one is EVER paid to appear on a talk show. They get their guests by asking, begging or, most of the time, by the guests needing to promote something and having their PR people get them the gig. But the guests are not paid. Now, I'm certain that TLC footed the bill for the trip, and maybe THEY paid Kate something, but I guarantee she didn't get one red cent from the show.

As to why she was on there supposedly promoting "her" show so far in advance...my guess is that she started harrassing TLC about how she's not been "seen" lately and annoyed them into getting her booked onto "something." But far more importantly, I firmly believe that she went on there specifically to speak publicly about how she "never bashes Jon." Does she not have a court hearing coming up soon? (I could be wrong on that - but I surely haven't heard anything about it, so I'm assuming it hasn't happened yet.)

What I find so incredibly amusing about that angle is - out of one side of her mouth she swears she never bashes Jon because he is the children's father, and then she goes out of the other side of her mouth and talks about the crew as ALL being "dads" to her kids. If that's not bashing, I don't know what is - it's just a tad bit more subtle and many viewers might miss it entirely, but believe me, she once again got in a dig at poor Jon.

For me, it's gotten to the point that just the sound of her voice and the sight of her plastic personnage makes me physically ill. So thanks to all of you who "took one for the Gipper" so to speak!

Most grips are 20-something drinking pot smoking kids going from one filming job to the next and will be gone in a heartbeat--the children have no business forming deep relationships with them over a relationship with their father, family and close friends.

She said herself they did not see the crew after Jon first stopped the filming in 2009. Why would it be any different?

Now, I'm certain that TLC footed the bill for the trip, and maybe THEY paid Kate something, but I guarantee she didn't get one red cent from the show.

************

There are other ways to "pay" someone other than cutting them a check. She had a new hair style, new color and probably conditioning, too as well as most likely a new wardrobe provided by a stylist. She was indeed 'paid' as far as I'm concerned.

As for your statement that "no one is EVER paid to appear on a talk show": that is incorrect. I'm not aware of the specifics for "The Talk", but there are some talk shows that do pay a flat appearance fee as well as studios and networks that pay their stars for appearances in addition to the perks that come with their trip such as hotels, meals, transportation, etc.

The Talk is delusional, it's lost its demographic since it started airing of 18-49 yr olds and the only reason it's still around is because Julie Chen screws the boss, legally, but still EWWWWW. Nobody cares what truth or what lies come out of "Agent Orange's" mouth any more because it's same old, same old. And most people with common sense sees her for what she is, a fame chasing Ho' without any talents.
Twitter is not buzzing, Google is not buzzing even Yahoo is strangely silent.

I wonder why the Talk chose to book her as a guest. She has nothing new to talk about. It's the same old record. And while I understand the hosts aren't responsible for the bookings and that they don't want to attack their guests, I think there is a way to ask probing questions without being harsh. And there is definitely a big difference between not attacking a guest and enabling their lies and encouraging exploitive behavior.

Kate Gosselin Isn't Going Anywhere said... 104

I think there's going to be heavy promotion before April. I'll bet my bottom dollar she'll be back on The View, Today Show, Regis & Kelly and whatever talk show TLC can wrangle for her.

Unfortunately, I agree. Tourism Australia needs the major promotion more than TLC needs the ratings (which is doing fine [without the Gosselins], according to TLC).

Even though it was mentioned awhile back on RadarOnline that TLC was footing the bill for the Australia trip, it wouldn't surprise me if Tourism Australia partially footed the bill. After the public criticism upon learning that Tourism Australia was paying for Oprah's trip, they probably didn't want the same backlash with the Gosselins. Hence, that is why RadarOnline released that little blip.

I doubt Kate wanted to do a show in Australia, on some whim that she wanted to meet Steve's family. (Well, unless she and Steve are that serious, but it's still speculation at this point.)

This opportunity most likely came about when Tourism Australia made a deal with Oprah, and with her connections to Discovery, TLC managed to strike a deal with them too.

Oprah's trip was very adult-oriented, so the Gosselin family will showcase a family adventure down under with all the kid-friendly activities.

Tourism Australia has more riding on this Kate Plus 8 special, especially after all the unfortunate natural disasters the country has experienced. They need the major promotion to convince families to come visit Australia. What a perfect time to air this special when summer is only a couple months away and families are thinking and planning what to do for their summer vacation. Let's go to Australia!

Not to mention, Tourism Australia is pushing value-packages that are more affordable to budget-conscious Americans.

Ava said... 107

Not to mention, why do Kate's people keep sending her to do these interviews when she has nothing new to say? All she talks about is how much the kids love the filming and what a good experience it is for them. If it's not exploitation, then why is it necessary for her to always be justifying the filming? Her talking about it all of the time just draws more attention to it.

And even though no one ever calls her on anything during these interviews, they usually all at least mention the question of exploitation or the kids best interest. Which means they think there has to be something to the issue. Otherwise, they wouldn't keep asking her about it in every interview.

I guess Kate and her people don't care if she's seen as a child exploiter. As long as it keeps her face and name out there.

Uh, no, Kate, most mothers would NOT do what you have done. It is that definitive way she makes statements as if she knows every mother out there and what choices they would make. Some of us do NOT worship at the altar of the almighty dollar.

The crew are now 'dads' to her kids. If I were Jon I would head straight to court. Sue her ass. One thing is for sure, she is getting hurt (financially) because of all the negative attention she is getting. And she is furious. Serves her right. She deserves this huge comedown. Wonder just how long after the show ends before the crew of 'dads' leaves and she is indeed left with no one. No family, no friends and no 'dads'.

There are many things I would never do to put food on the table. Including but not limited to stealing, prostitution, and doing a reality show. Kate doesn't understand that normal rational people have values. When will she get it through her thick head that not everyone, in fact I would venture to say the majority of families, have no interest in exposing their privacy on a reality show?

Besides, her reality show was never about money up until recently, according to Kate. Remember, for the longest time it was about MAKING MEMORIES, in Kate's own words. Only the past year or so has she suddenly claimed it was about getting by and making money.

Did anyone see Lady Gaga on 60 Minutes? She went to her old studio apartment in NYC with Anderson Cooper and knocked on the door. She asked the woman who lived there if she could come in and see it. The woman said I'm sorry I really don't want to be on camera. I'm sure Kate would jump up and down invite them in and start a tea service. But that's Kate, that is not everyone. She has no ability to understand not everyone is wired just like her. A chance to be on 60 Minutes with Lady Gaga and Anderson Cooper and you turn it down? Hell yes people turn things like this down. Hell yes not everyone wants attention. Hard to understand for Kate, very hard.

What else is new said... 110

This does not surprise me. I think some of us are putting too much faith in the media that they will do the right thing with Kate, and it just sets us up for disappointment.

I feel like we're constantly being played by these networks, just to garner more interest from those viewers who are turned off by Kate.

E! True Hollywood Story - the use of Werny Gal and Paul Petersen to make it appear to be a balanced show - how did that turn out?

The Talk - host Sharon Osbourne and her comment from the Ellen show - how did that turn out?

I doubt these media personalities (with the exception of the two interviewees mentioned above) really know what's going on in the Gosselin world because they aren't long-time viewers like some of us once were. They get their info from their staff who probably gets their info from the guest's PR team.

Kate and Jon have a custody arrangement, just like millions of divorced parents. He sees his children regularly. The children are not being deprived of their father. On what grounds should he "sue her ass?"

If 99% of the rumors (according to Kate) are not true than why does Kate feel the need to respond to them on national television. The woman makes absolutely no sense. The truth is she's there at every bend in the road to tell us what her truth is about the matter. Forget what we see on her show and in the press .... we should just believe Kate because she said it.

She was champing at the bit today to try and get her word in edgewise on the "Talk" today. I had to laugh. I don't think I've ever seen anyone talk so fast. I think she felt the need to explain her whole life in 5 minutes.

I thought she looked awful. Her hair is platinum now and looks totally unnatural. What's with the black roots ?

I also noticed that Kate always looks down when she's answering a question untruthfully........ Like I only have a babysitter half the week.

I also think that Sharon wasn't there for that interview because she does like Kate and it probably would have gotten ugly. LMAO Sharon doesn't hold anything back. I love her. !

She tried real hard to convince the world that the cameramen were "family."
How sad that the only contact these kids can have outside school is a bunch of guys with cameras. Sorry Kate, I'm not buying it. This is not natural or healthy for these kids. You have them fearing people taking pics on one hand and trusting like family another bunch of guys taking pics on the other hand. Of course Kate has to say this because someone would shut her down for sure if anyone thought the kids had a problem with these guys filming them.

Against my better judgement I watched without sound, just a minute or two, on a computer feed. It was rather amusing, and wow, she really does not look all that good - the hair is over bleached, the Farrah feathering looks odd and there is definitely something plastic about where her face is pulled in places, particularly the eyes. That said, The Talk, even if it has been renewed is definitely not anything exciting on the show circuit. I tend to agree that she and her "people" have been pushing TLC and this is what they came up with Australia to air in April, really, who is going to give a rat's a$% by then? I know she will be around for awhile, but I really do think her fame time has come, and is now gone, gone, gone.

Kartie Dearest said... 118

Kart refers to the crew as their family? Wow - pretty messed up considering she doesn't allow her kids to see their real grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Also, in one breath, she said would never bash Jon out in public (paging Dr. Pinnochio) and then refers to the crews as the kids dads. They only have ONE dad - their biological one.

Old Habits Die Hard said... 119

Who was that on the View that Joy and Whoopi walked off the show and came back on and Whoopi actually "hit" the person which she said she was just tugging on their arm. I imagine that person was invited into their house also. But I agree that you cannot attack someone that you have agreed to let come on the show. It seems to be they shaped the whole gist of the first segment around her appearance i.e. reality. Promoting a show that won't air until April? More likely someone else above nailed it in that she asked to be on the show, pick a show - any show will do so she could be away for Valentines with her trusty bodyguard. I wonder if the kids got to have the annual Valentine's day treasure hunt what with it being a tradition and all.

Who wants to bet that the subject of the kids' long filming absence from school AND the expulsion were strictly forbidden as discussion topics?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yes,I will take that bet, and raise you:
I'll bet there no questions were allowed about...
1. Steve
2. meeting Steve's parents
3. the rumor of Steve sleeping in the basement
4. whether or not the two expelled children will return to school.
5. how much she makes per episode
6. if she is still unable to pay those darn bills in her purse.
7. what happened to Twisted Kate? (The show, I mean...LOL)
8. whether Steve came along on this cozy Valentine's trip. (Good catch, Nobody Likes a Narcissist).
Also, Kate PROVED today that she is a liar by demonstrating one of her lies. She told this cute little story (not!) about one of the younger girls on the plane. "About an hour or two in, she asked how much longer the plane ride was...and I said, 'Um, 4 or 5 hours...'" (As if to mislead the child that it was only a 5-7 hour flight, not 22 hours). "Then the child piped up, 'Oh, good! I LOVE this plane!'"
If you didn't know anything else about Kate, you could know by this single story that she's A-Okay with lies. (And she told lots of lies today that any informed person would catch.) Once a liar, always a liar.
I think it's priceless that her show will return in April, NOT during a ratings sweeps month.
Admin., I know this would be very time consuming, but it would be so great to actually see you or someone refute her lies, just the ones she told today. A clip from what she has said in the past and the clip from the lies she told today. People (the fans) can say all they want to about how wonderful Kate is, what a great mom, she's just doing the best she can do with a deadbeat dad. But when you see what she has said - from her own mouth and then see it refuted - from her own mouth, I wonder how they would explain that away.
I didn't watch "The Talk", but it sounds like the S.O.S. coming out of Kate's mouth. She has always tried to assert that filming was "normal" for the kids and that the crew (however changed over the years) is like family--yeah, whatever, OK.
As for her not bashing Jon--well she must have a different definition of "bashing" than I. What do you call the interview on Regis and Kelly--or for that matter, her derisive behavior towards Jon when they were filming J&K+8? She lives in her own bubble of self-delusion.
As for the Osbournes and their show--it was different, IMO, because the kids were older and (obviously) were given the choice to opt out. Fewer episodes were filmed each season--also, I don't recall hidden cameras being installed in the Osbourne kids' bedrooms to watch them as they slept (as were the Gosselin children's). Also, Ozzy already had fame and $$ on his own (and Sharon's) work. Yes, the show gave a boost to his career, but he's looong had a core of die-hard fans. He had something to do OTHER THAN THE SHOW. Kate's fame and fortune comes from the backs of her children--she has no discernible talent (except possible for sparking debate and pissing people off).
Kate's nails were not done in her usual french manicure, but red. Perhaps for a Valentine's Day date? It was noticeable and I found it odd for her. Except during Dancing With The Stars Kate's nails have been permanent french for 2 years now.
Kate's eyes looked off and droopy like she was medicated. She has looked this way recently in the liquor store and coatless pics. Her hair and skin looks like it is being destroyed from the overprocessing. She really needs to stop it, as it is aging her so much. A few years ago she was so pretty and fresh-faced in appearance.
The mini skirt just makes it look like she is trying too hard to be hot and whoever said she would have Farrah Faucet hair called it right.
As for what she said, we all could have predicted it was nothing more than lies and setting the record straight type of statements, more of the same old Katie-isms.
”The Talk” – Part 1 of 5
Julie Chen (JC): Welcome back to “The Talk”. Our first guest is one of THE most famous moms in America. Any time she does just about anything, the headlines follow. Please welcome mother of eight, Khate Gosselin.
[Kate walks out swinging her arms. Short, black skirt; black, ankle strap shoes; long sleeve, very shiny, clingy, cheap polyster looking, red v-neck shirt; extremely pale, almost white, very fake looking hair, styled in the feathery Farah look that I thought she had finally ditched in favor of something more current; huge smile, showing unnaturally white, large teeth.]
[The audience is standing and cheering, clapping (the camera focuses on one of the few males in the audience, some doofus in the back row, in a purple shirt and tie, clapping wildly). As Khate walks in, she has a huge smile and a nervous wave for the audience, Then, she reaches the hosts at the couch and hugs Julie Chen, then Sarah Gilbert, and then Leah Remini. They all sit down.]
Julie Chen (JC) : You look fabulous…..
Khate Gosselin: Thank you (in a chipper voice).
JC: .….so thin, thin and trim.
[Khate clasps her hands in her lap, right above her orangey legs, seeming to want to block the camera from shooting up her too short skirt. She immediately fidgets with her thumbs as Julie Chen begins to ask questions. Red nail polish. She seems a bit nervous, not sure what to expect.]
JC: So, just now did you hear we were talking about Billy Ray Cyrus……
Khate: (nodding her head), I did.
JC: ….. and how he regrets Hannah Montana. Do you regret putting your kids on television?
Khate: I don’t. The big difference for us is we’re not scripted – you heard me, we are NOT scripted (as she looks around at the audience and directs it to them, waving her hands, then a nervous laugh). We’re living. The kids run in and out of the frame and they just live. So, I don’t feel like, you know, I can really relate a whole lot to what he’s saying. I am still the parent on camera, off camera. I appreciate what you guys said, (referring to the earlier segment with the hosts chatting about the Billy Ray and Miley story). It’s true, um, you know, if I don’t like the way things are going I speak up. I am their mom at all times, so I feel like, um, I have zero regrets (said with a head wave and a shrug of the shoulders, as the audience applauds.
”The Talk” – Part 2 of 5
Sara Gilbert (SG): And you don’t feel like there’s any added media pressure on them?
Khate: Um, eh, you know, eh, every, you take the good with the bad. Um, we have amazing experiences that we would not have otherwise had. Uh, we would be lucky to go to the local amusement park if, you know, if we didn’t have this experience. We’ve traveled the world, the kids love to travel, and everything in that regard is positive. The media, obviously, is the negative, but I take it as life experiences. My kids are going to be equipped to face the world when they get out on their own because we are learning it in baby steps together.
(Sorry, I have to say this – filming a reality tv show is equipping them to face the world, yet two out of six of them weren’t equipped to handle kindergarten at six and a half years old)
[She seems defensive, and prepped to discuss this right away. There was a pause after this as if waiting for the audience to applaud, but it was nothing but uncomfortable silence. She was talking right to Julie, yet Julie just sat there with no response except for a small nod and eyebrow raise as she looked down her nose at Khate, lol.]
Leah Remini (LR): Yeah, I was gonna ask you about that because I think people don’t realize, like I did a short thing for VH1 where the cameras follow you and it’s the same cameramen and I think people get a little worried like how are the kids with, you know, the media and the cameras. And people don’t realize that you become really close with these people…..
Khate: Um hm! (she’s nodding her bead, seems very happy that she’s found support in Leah).
LR: ….they sit down and have dinner with you…
Khate: Correct.
LR: you know, they become kind of your family. And I just wanted to say, cause I know how people say “Well, you’re exploiting the kids”, and I don’t know how I really feel about it just to be completely honest, like I agree with you that the kids wouldn’t have these experiences. That’s what people don’t understand is that this is kind of her job. (Khate’s trying to interrupt, she’s so happy Leah sees it her way and is helping her with her argument). Like, you weren’t, you’re not a celebrity, you’re just a mom with eight kids. Well, not saying “just” a mom, but a mom with eight kids, and that ain’t easy. But it’s kind of like you get this opportunity and people say “Well, you know, I wouldn’t.....”. Really, really? You’re just living at home, you’re doing your job and if I came to you and said “You want to do a reality show?”. People would be like “Hell, yeah!”
(Leah says that in a goofy voice and the audience applauds. Khate really perks up now that she seemingly has back up).
Khate: You know, I have to tell you, I agree with you, I feel like….The critics, the exact critics that are out there, the moms who are saying “Oh my gosh, she does this and that”, if someone knocked on your door tomorrow (she’s pointing her finger now) and said “This really great group of dads, this crew, is gonna come, hang out with your family, and film you doing whatever, and you know, you’re going to Australia, New Zealand and here and here and here”, would they really shut the door and walk away? (in an argumentative tone)
LR: Some people would…
Khate: (heavy sigh)
LR: …some people would but most people don’t realize the experiences….
”The Talk” – Part 3 of 5
Khate: I have a hard time believing that. But, I feel like, um, you know, there was a time that, uh, as soon as Jon and I announced our divorce and our lives were, you know, everywhere, and the kids came to me a few weeks later and said “Mommy, when’s our crew coming back?” They missed them and I waited for that, and I waited. And they came and asked. It was a normalcy to them, it was a comfort. These guys when the cameras are off, they’re dads, they’re, they’re helping us, they, they play games with the kids, they read books to ‘em, I mean this IS family to us.
JC: But then what happens when that goes away, ‘cause there will come a day that all goes away?
Khate: But the people won’t go away, ‘cause we’ll stay in contact with them forever. They have truly, we’ve made deep, life long friendships. I mean, you have to remember these people have travelled with us as well. They’re like part of us.
SG: How do you feel though about your divorce being so public?
Khate: Uhhh (shudder, eye roll). Um, eh, that was probably one of the hardest things I went through because it was, I didn’t want all that stuff to be out there. I really wished we could have just dealt with it. Our intentions, our early talks were obviously, the publicity of it all could really become a problem and it did. And I feel like when you saw ME out answering, I was answering to the things that kept getting out there, um, to assure the world who had watched my kids grow up they are okay, they’re, they’re, we’re going through this, we’re walking through it one day at a time. And, I feel like my kids, um, you know, the nine of us are stronger, we’re, we’re a healthier unit, um, and I feel like we came out of it really well, um…..
LR: Do you wish you hadn’t of done certain things in the press, do you wish you maybe wouldn’t have said, you know, responded….
Khate: I only answered what came out….
LR: Right
Khate: Well, no, I needed to respond at some point ‘cause the rumors get out of control. I mean, ninety-nine percent of what you read about me online is not true. Um, it’s far from true. And so, I feel like the answers that I put out there were because I have to remember that my kids are going to be able to look back on this, and there’s certain things I needed to come out and say, I need to clear the record and say this is not what’s happening, I mean…..
And so, the only things I came out and said were things that I didn’t want my kids to see me, you know, on The Today Show, on any show, you know, bashing their father. I won’t do it, you will never hear me do it. He will always be their father, no matter his choices.
(Audience applause)
JC: We have much more with Khate Gosselin when we come right back.
[Commercial break]
”The Talk” – Part 4 of 5
[Return from commercial: opens up with clips from the upcoming Australia episode: Khate sitting in the interview chair in her basement saying: “I can’t even believe I’m sitting in this chair talking about our trip to Australia and New Zealand. We did it. I wasn’t scared of the shark or the cage, I was scared of the diving part…. You know, aside from saying this was the best trip in the whole world, um, this, um, this was a life changing event”.
As she talks, the clips show Khate with a boomerang, Khate walking in the water in a bikini with one of the boys, Khate going in a shark tank, and Khate in a wetsuit on the beach with the kids, ending with her putting her arm around a couple of the boys and kissing them. It really makes it look like this show has turned into Khate’s travel home movies, and it’s all about Khate, just Khate. Not for nothing, but her boobs are totally falling out of the shirt she’s wearing in the TC interview clip.]
Julie Chen (JC): Welcome back to The Talk. That was Khate Gosselin in her reality show “Kate Plus 8”. So, you must have some good travelling trips for moms, given that you travel with eight kids?
Khate: You know, it was funny, the day before we left, um, for that trip my babysitter came to help me finish packing and she said “I’m really getting excited for this trip, are you?” And I said, “Talk to me after the flight”. (Laughter by hosts and audience).
Um, you know, we’ve travelled a lot and I feel like it’s a challenge for me so I always have my big bag of tricks. I’ve talked about it before. Tricks include like, you know, the dollar bin, Target toys, things they’ve never seen before, of course, the little DVD players, the DS’s. Um, and I ration them out. Like I look over and I say “Okay, Joel’s grouchy, uh, what does he need?” Like I’m sitting there masterminding it, handing out stuff the whole time.
And the other thing I set myself up for every trip, is, it’s more of a, it’s not a tip, it’s probably like a state of mind, I just plan for NO sleep. I just say to myself “You are lucky if you can close your eyes for a minute”, and I just prepare myself that way.
SG: And it’s a bonus (laughing)
Khate: And it’s a bonus, if you get some, you’re thinking “Yay, I got an hour of sleep”.
But, the truth is, they did really well on this flight (she’s pointing her finger at the audience as she says this), better than ever. They always travel well, but I remember a couple of hours we had left of the Australia flight and Alexa said “How many hour, how long do we have left on this airplane, Mommy?” And I thought Ohhh, sugar coat it, “Um, well, you know, like four, maybe five hours …” and she said “Oh good, ‘cause I love this airplane”. (Khate pops her eyes out of her head, in full drama mode and the hosts and audience crack up at her little kid story).
JC: You’re like “I meant eighteen” (hours on the plane)
Khate: I was like “Bless you child, bless you”. (laughter)
Nobody Likes a Narcissist said... 134
”The Talk” – Part 5 of 5
SG: You are a really involved parent, I think a lot of people think you’re this fancy mom on tv, but you know, you don’t have a lot of child care, right?
Khate: I don’t. I have a babysitter half the week, uh, three and a half days. Um, and I, when I’m at home, which is most of the time, I am hands on, I cook every meal. I know people want to say other things about me, but I am doing the math homework, I’m taking care of my kids, that is where my heart is, with my kids.
LH: You don’t need to say that. (Big applause from the audience). Even if you had help, like even if she had help, I’m like “What mom wouldn’t want help if she could get somebody to help?” I don’t know why that’s such a big deal.
Khate: I do. But, I still, I have this guilt feeling about it like…..
LR: Of course, we all deal with that, yeah.
Khate: ….I should be able to do it myself. And I had to give that up ages ago when I brought six brand new babies home from the hospital…..
LR: That’s right.
Khate: …..I had to say, “I need help, I have to accept it”.
LR: Right.
SG: I think it’s amazing that you watch eight kids on your own. That seems really overwhelming.
Khate: I think they just kind of watch me, but… (laughing). (audience and hosts laugh) They sort of run the place more than I do, no. (laughing)
LR: And they entertain each other, which makes it easier sometimes.
Khate: They do. The older they get, of course they have, you know, more opinions, louder voices and, um, their own ways of doing things. But, um, it’s, you know, you get to a point as a mom, where your kids aren’t so minute by minute, minute needy. And I remember like, they run through the house now and they come to me like, you know, when they need a drink, which most of them can get themselves a drink. But, I remember thinking, like “Where are they, don’t they need me, doesn’t anybody…?”
Um, there’s like moments that go by now where, like, they are entertaining themselves, and they’re playing, and they’re doing their own thing and I’m thinking “Well, this is weird”. (laughter)
JC: So, it gets easier.
Khate: They’re either into trouble or it’s getting easier. That’s a whole different thing, (laughing).
JC: Well, “Kate Plus 8” returns this April on TLC. Kate Gosselin, thanks for joining us.
Khate: Thanks guys.
Someone upthread said that kate's chest seems to get red and mottled when she lies....I noticed the same thing....I also noticed that Camille Grammer has the same problem on RHOBH. Also, you would think that someone would tell her to put on a pair of slacks....Lordie be those legs are not attractive.
I think that her PR folks put her on this show to test the waters and see how she's received. When the panned the audience some of the folks were doing the polite "OK I have to clap but don't want to" applauding. I don't think this appearance went as they hoped.
Yawn... Yawn.... Yawn....
Same sh**. Different day.
One of the things that makes me sad is that Kate used to be so beautiful. Even a certain sheeple blogger who likes to post pics of Kate tends to choose them from 1 1/2 to 2 years ago, where Kate looked fresh-faced, natural, and pretty. So sad to see her having aged so much in two years.. Her hair, nails, outfit - all pretty today, though.
As for the show today... Very boring. She started with a lie and never quit. The weirdest thing was how nervous she seemed. Not sure I've ever seen her that nervous and uncomfortable on tv before. What do you think that was about?
My take is that she knows she's yesterday's news and her 15 minutes are up. Her tentative behavior reflected that to me.
Keep in mind that people come on these shows to plug their own careers; that's normal, and the hosts of these shows are not there to give them crap. They all cross-promote. I would be willing to bet that Holly and Sharon were not on that segment because they know enough about Kate to excuse themselves. It's hard to hide disdain unless you are an amazing actor!
"I need to clear the record and say this is not what's happening."
No Kate, you need to stay home with your kids and stay out of the press. Clearing the record for what purpose? All that does is turn into a she said, he said match, violates court orders to talk about the case, and continues the drama for the children. She contributed to the dragging out of this divorce when she kept going to the press. And there was NOTHING to clear when she went on Regis and Kelly. Actually after that JON had to clear the record--just the opposite, to basically say my kids know the truth. Exactly, all that matters is the kids. On Regis she struck first, not Jon. Why would we believe what she says any more than what Jon says? They're both equally not credible, so it's completely pointless to clear the record.
You do not need to clear ANYTHING Kate, you need to STFU.
99% of what you read online is not true....
Like how the kids being homeschooled was not true, the family going to Australia was not true, Jon being forced to pick up the kids at the end of the driveway was not true, the 11 nannies they have been through was not true....
And as a former nanny, it is the most hurtful thing in the world when your employer goes on TV and pretends that you don't exist and they do it all. In my case this was done to me on Oprah. Does anyone think to say....but wait you are in Chicago on Oprah Mrs. X, who is with your children right now? Or you are in LA right now Kate who is with the children????
Her delusion has reached new heights here, epic heights.
Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said... 139
So the part about how if someone knocked on your door with a trip to Australia would you turn it down, I'm so glad Leah said SOME PEOPLE WOULD.
Yes, some people wpi;d, Kate. Good God. Some people would rather spend a few years saving for Australia and do it on their own dime so they could have a private trip rather than exploit their kids to get it. Why is this so hard for her to understand? SOME PEOPLE WOULD TURN THIS DOWN, SOME PEOPLE HAVE.
I watched the first few minutes of The Talk today. I saw Julie, Holly, Sharon and Sara walk in the same way The View hosts walk in and take their places. Then in came Leah Remini in the Lady Gaga style egg. It looked ridiculous to me, and a real stretch to get laughs and get noticed. Horrible.
This show may surprise me and stick around for many seasons, but I'll never understand how. The conversation around the table was dull, dull, dull.
No wonder they needed a controversial figure like Kate Gosselin to spice things up for them.
I truly believe this appearance had nothing to do with Kate and everything to do with The Talk's need for attention.
There would be outrage if Jon referred to anyone but the children's biological mother as Moms. Kate has no business using the word Dad on anyone but the children's real father.
Think about how the children feel when they hear someone else referred to as their dad. If she really must compare it to a family member, call the crew big brothers. But fathers? It's insulting to Jon and incredibly disrespectful.
Remember the unsubstantiated rumor that Ellen was referring to herself as a stepmom. Hopefully that was part of the 99% of rumors Kate says aren't true.
But in any case the sheeple were OUTRAGED by this, just outraged. And I agree, no one should be calling themselves that, not yet anyway. If she ever did. But is it just fine for Kate to call the crew dads? How is that any different? I mean at least according to the rumor she had the courtesy of putting STEP in front of mom.
For most parents "Mom" and "Dad" is a God given blessing and something to take very seriously. As seriously as someone takes their title of Dr. seriously. As seriously as I take pride in my Esq. title. You don't throw Mom and Dad around on other people, especially a divorce.
fidosmommy said... 146
I've heard several celebrities say right out loud that they have the best nannies in the world, and they have the best parents/in-laws in the world, trusted people who take care of their kids while Mom and Dad go to work. Sarah Jessica Parker has publicly acknowledged her help, Meredith Vieira has, and there have been some soap opera and sitcom stars who also have.
Nobody thinks less of them for admitting they have searched for the right person, found him/her, and appreciate the work this person has done. Not a thing wrong with it. I don't understand why such an acknowledgment sticks in Kate's throat. Well, yes I do, but it's ridiculous to not tip the hat to responsible
child care people.
Shoot, when I was a teen I babysat 2 little girls down the street every single weekend. I loved those kids. The parents made certain I knew how important I was to their family and refused to give my name and number to any parents who asked about my availability. I was never a substitute parent, I was a babysitter, proud to be a babysitter, and was properly acknowledged for the work I did. It was great.
Has it just recently dawned on Kate that her kids will be reading about their family on the internet? Or have they already been googling and are now asking questions? She can backpeddle all she wants now but IT'S TOO LATE. The damage is done. She should spend the rest of her life apologizing to them for exploiting them the way she has and for making a fool out of herself everywhere she goes. We know she won't do that, she'll do what narcissists do - make them feel guilty. "I did it for all for you" will be her mantra. God help those children.
but to approve of her parking in a fire zone is one of the most ridiculous I've ever heard.
********
Long time lurker, first time poster. Don't mean to change the subject, but as a volunteer firefighter I feel the need to comment on this. To those sheeple who think parking in a fire zone is okay, I guess you've never fought a fire yourself or you would never make such a statement. To my mind, parking in a fire zone is a sign of total disrespect for the people who already have an extremely dangerous and difficult job to do. Fire zones exist for a reason: so fire crews can quickly and easily establish a secondary water source and maneuver equipment when seconds count. And seconds do count. Firefighting is not like in the movies. Seconds can mean the difference between a small fire that is easily extinguished and a large fire that causes extensive property damage and maybe even loss of life. Having a car parked in a fire zone may interfere with fire ground operations and create an even more dangerous situation for firefighters.
When professional or volunteer firefighters get on the rig to answer a call, we don't know what we're getting into or if we'll come back safely. We risk our lives for total strangers. We need all of the cooperation from the community that we can get.
Again, I beg to differ, but if you read the transcript or watch the video, she plainly says that these crew members are "dads". Not LIKE
dads, but "dads". Listen to it/read it for yourself. Of course what she meant was that they are male figures in their lives, but she called them "dads". Whether she intended it to be or not, it was a slap in Jon's face that she did not bother to correct or backpedal on. She seemed happy to call them "dads" to her kids.
My kids are going to be equipped to face the world when they get out on their own because we are learning it in baby steps together."
So, travelling the world and dealing with the media is equipping the kids to face the world when they get out on their own? Travelling the world is a great thing and educational, but with Kate not so much.
What about learning social skills, getting a good education and other things that normal parents teach their kids. Those things aren't important in Kate's fantasy everythings just wonderful world.
And the part about not bashing Jon. She does every chance she gets.
I don't believe for a minute that Kate only gets an hour of sleep most days. There she goes trying to convince everyone that she's actually being a "mother."
----------------------
If she only gets an hour of sleep on the plane, she's more than making up for it when she's not traveling if, what she said was true, that she's in bed by 7:31 p.m., getting 10 hours of sleep a night. That's more than any Mom that I know! I celebrate if I get five hours! What does she do all day, with the kids in school full time? They're only with her for 3 1/2 hours, and for that, she needs a nanny/sitter?
Regarding the "dad" comment. This is one of Kate's problems. She doesn't have the ability to think before she talks. There's no common sense there. This is why she will never be the host of a talk show. She may have the gift of gab (or thinks she does), but the intelligence isn't there. No network would touch her, knowing that she would put her foot in her mouth, insult someone, or say something really stupid that might result in serious consequence.
That, plus there's no personality. She's boring. What audience would want to listen to her when clearly she has nothing to contribute to any discussion, other than the fabulous world traveling experiences, and the crew that has become family?
”The Talk” – Part 4 of 5
[Return from commercial: opens up with clips from the upcoming Australia episode: Khate sitting in the interview chair in her basement saying: “I can’t even believe I’m sitting in this chair talking about our trip to Australia and New Zealand. We did it. I wasn’t scared of the shark or the cage, I was scared of the diving part…. You know, aside from saying this was the best trip in the whole world, um, this, um, this was a life changing event”.
As she talks, the clips show Khate with a boomerang, Khate walking in the water in a bikini with one of the boys, Khate going in a shark tank, and Khate in a wetsuit on the beach with the kids, ending with her putting her arm around a couple of the boys and kissing them. It really makes it look like this show has turned into Khate’s travel home movies, and it’s all about Khate, just Khate. Not for nothing, but her boobs are totally falling out of the shirt she’s wearing in the TC interview clip.]
Julie Chen (JC): Welcome back to The Talk. That was Khate Gosselin in her reality show “Kate Plus 8”. So, you must have some good travelling trips for moms, given that you travel with eight kids?
Khate: You know, it was funny, the day before we left, um, for that trip my babysitter came to help me finish packing and she said “I’m really getting excited for this trip, are you?” And I said, “Talk to me after the flight”. (Laughter by hosts and audience).
Um, you know, we’ve travelled a lot and I feel like it’s a challenge for me so I always have my big bag of tricks. I’ve talked about it before. Tricks include like, you know, the dollar bin, Target toys, things they’ve never seen before, of course, the little DVD players, the DS’s. Um, and I ration them out. Like I look over and I say “Okay, Joel’s grouchy, uh, what does he need?” Like I’m sitting there masterminding it, handing out stuff the whole time.
And the other thing I set myself up for every trip, is, it’s more of a, it’s not a tip, it’s probably like a state of mind, I just plan for NO sleep. I just say to myself “You are lucky if you can close your eyes for a minute”, and I just prepare myself that way.
SG: And it’s a bonus (laughing)
Khate: And it’s a bonus, if you get some, you’re thinking “Yay, I got an hour of sleep”.
But, the truth is, they did really well on this flight (she’s pointing her finger at the audience as she says this), better than ever. They always travel well, but I remember a couple of hours we had left of the Australia flight and Alexa said “How many hour, how long do we have left on this airplane, Mommy?” And I thought Ohhh, sugar coat it, “Um, well, you know, like four, maybe five hours …” and she said “Oh good, ‘cause I love this airplane”. (Khate pops her eyes out of her head, in full drama mode and the hosts and audience crack up at her little kid story).
JC: You’re like “I meant eighteen” (hours on the plane)
Khate: I was like “Bless you child, bless you”. (laughter)
”The Talk” – Part 3 of 5
Khate: I have a hard time believing that. But, I feel like, um, you know, there was a time that, uh, as soon as Jon and I announced our divorce and our lives were, you know, everywhere, and the kids came to me a few weeks later and said “Mommy, when’s our crew coming back?” They missed them and I waited for that, and I waited. And they came and asked. It was a normalcy to them, it was a comfort. These guys when the cameras are off, they’re dads, they’re, they’re helping us, they, they play games with the kids, they read books to ‘em, I mean this IS family to us.
JC: But then what happens when that goes away, ‘cause there will come a day that all goes away?
Khate: But the people won’t go away, ‘cause we’ll stay in contact with them forever. They have truly, we’ve made deep, life long friendships. I mean, you have to remember these people have travelled with us as well. They’re like part of us.
SG: How do you feel though about your divorce being so public?
Khate: Uhhh (shudder, eye roll). Um, eh, that was probably one of the hardest things I went through because it was, I didn’t want all that stuff to be out there. I really wished we could have just dealt with it. Our intentions, our early talks were obviously, the publicity of it all could really become a problem and it did. And I feel like when you saw ME out answering, I was answering to the things that kept getting out there, um, to assure the world who had watched my kids grow up they are okay, they’re, they’re, we’re going through this, we’re walking through it one day at a time. And, I feel like my kids, um, you know, the nine of us are stronger, we’re, we’re a healthier unit, um, and I feel like we came out of it really well, um…..
LR: Do you wish you hadn’t of done certain things in the press, do you wish you maybe wouldn’t have said, you know, responded….
Khate: I only answered what came out….
LR: Right
Khate: Well, no, I needed to respond at some point ‘cause the rumors get out of control. I mean, ninety-nine percent of what you read about me online is not true. Um, it’s far from true. And so, I feel like the answers that I put out there were because I have to remember that my kids are going to be able to look back on this, and there’s certain things I needed to come out and say, I need to clear the record and say this is not what’s happening, I mean…..
And so, the only things I came out and said were things that I didn’t want my kids to see me, you know, on The Today Show, on any show, you know, bashing their father. I won’t do it, you will never hear me do it. He will always be their father, no matter his choices.
(Audience applause)
JC: We have much more with Khate Gosselin when we come right back.
”The Talk” – Part 2 of 5
Sara Gilbert (SG): And you don’t feel like there’s any added media pressure on them?
Khate: Um, eh, you know, eh, every, you take the good with the bad. Um, we have amazing experiences that we would not have otherwise had. Uh, we would be lucky to go to the local amusement park if, you know, if we didn’t have this experience. We’ve traveled the world, the kids love to travel, and everything in that regard is positive. The media, obviously, is the negative, but I take it as life experiences. My kids are going to be equipped to face the world when they get out on their own because we are learning it in baby steps together.
(Sorry, I have to say this – filming a reality tv show is equipping them to face the world, yet two out of six of them weren’t equipped to handle kindergarten at six and a half years old)
[She seems defensive, and prepped to discuss this right away. There was a pause after this as if waiting for the audience to applaud, but it was nothing but uncomfortable silence. She was talking right to Julie, yet Julie just sat there with no response except for a small nod and eyebrow raise as she looked down her nose at Khate, lol.]
Leah Remini (LR): Yeah, I was gonna ask you about that because I think people don’t realize, like I did a short thing for VH1 where the cameras follow you and it’s the same cameramen and I think people get a little worried like how are the kids with, you know, the media and the cameras. And people don’t realize that you become really close with these people…..
Khate: Um hm! (she’s nodding her bead, seems very happy that she’s found support in Leah).
LR: ….they sit down and have dinner with you…
Khate: Correct.
LR: you know, they become kind of your family. And I just wanted to say, cause I know how people say “Well, you’re exploiting the kids”, and I don’t know how I really feel about it just to be completely honest, like I agree with you that the kids wouldn’t have these experiences. That’s what people don’t understand is that this is kind of her job. (Khate’s trying to interrupt, she’s so happy Leah sees it her way and is helping her with her argument). Like, you weren’t, you’re not a celebrity, you’re just a mom with eight kids. Well, not saying “just” a mom, but a mom with eight kids, and that ain’t easy. But it’s kind of like you get this opportunity and people say “Well, you know, I wouldn’t.....”. Really, really? You’re just living at home, you’re doing your job and if I came to you and said “You want to do a reality show?”. People would be like “Hell, yeah!”
(Leah says that in a goofy voice and the audience applauds. Khate really perks up now that she seemingly has back up).
Khate: You know, I have to tell you, I agree with you, I feel like….The critics, the exact critics that are out there, the moms who are saying “Oh my gosh, she does this and that”, if someone knocked on your door tomorrow (she’s pointing her finger now) and said “This really great group of dads, this crew, is gonna come, hang out with your family, and film you doing whatever, and you know, you’re going to Australia, New Zealand and here and here and here”, would they really shut the door and walk away? (in an argumentative tone)
LR: Some people would…
Khate: (heavy sigh)
LR: …some people would but most people don’t realize the experiences….
Okay, I took one for the team and transcribed the entire mess. I will post it in parts (hope that is okay, Admin!)..........
I didn't watch "The Talk", but it sounds like the S.O.S. coming out of Kate's mouth. She has always tried to assert that filming was "normal" for the kids and that the crew (however changed over the years) is like family--yeah, whatever, OK.
As for her not bashing Jon--well she must have a different definition of "bashing" than I. What do you call the interview on Regis and Kelly--or for that matter, her derisive behavior towards Jon when they were filming J&K+8? She lives in her own bubble of self-delusion.
As for the Osbournes and their show--it was different, IMO, because the kids were older and (obviously) were given the choice to opt out. Fewer episodes were filmed each season--also, I don't recall hidden cameras being installed in the Osbourne kids' bedrooms to watch them as they slept (as were the Gosselin children's). Also, Ozzy already had fame and $$ on his own (and Sharon's) work. Yes, the show gave a boost to his career, but he's looong had a core of die-hard fans. He had something to do OTHER THAN THE SHOW. Kate's fame and fortune comes from the backs of her children--she has no discernible talent (except possible for sparking debate and pissing people off).
The crew are now 'dads' to her kids.
According to you, not to Kate. She didn't say that.
And the KEY WORDS are: "ANY INFORMED PERSON"--It AMAZES me that people have her on their shows, do NO HOMEWORK and are totally clueless when interviewing her and buy into her lies and nonsense. Sadly, it appears that not even the Judge(s) presiding over the Gosselin hearings have done their homework.
Who was that on the View that Joy and Whoopi walked off the show and came back on and Whoopi actually "hit" the person which she said she was just tugging on their arm. I imagine that person was invited into their house also. But I agree that you cannot attack someone that you have agreed to let come on the show. It seems to be they shaped the whole gist of the first segment around her appearance i.e. reality. Promoting a show that won't air until April? More likely someone else above nailed it in that she asked to be on the show, pick a show - any show will do so she could be away for Valentines with her trusty bodyguard. I wonder if the kids got to have the annual Valentine's day treasure hunt what with it being a tradition and all.
She tried real hard to convince the world that the cameramen were "family."
How sad that the only contact these kids can have outside school is a bunch of guys with cameras. Sorry Kate, I'm not buying it. This is not natural or healthy for these kids. You have them fearing people taking pics on one hand and trusting like family another bunch of guys taking pics on the other hand. Of course Kate has to say this because someone would shut her down for sure if anyone thought the kids had a problem with these guys filming them.
Bubbles -- Kate has not moved on if she's still yapping about a divorce that's almost two years old.
There are many things I would never do to put food on the table. Including but not limited to stealing, prostitution, and doing a reality show. Kate doesn't understand that normal rational people have values. When will she get it through her thick head that not everyone, in fact I would venture to say the majority of families, have no interest in exposing their privacy on a reality show?
Besides, her reality show was never about money up until recently, according to Kate. Remember, for the longest time it was about MAKING MEMORIES, in Kate's own words. Only the past year or so has she suddenly claimed it was about getting by and making money.
Did anyone see Lady Gaga on 60 Minutes? She went to her old studio apartment in NYC with Anderson Cooper and knocked on the door. She asked the woman who lived there if she could come in and see it. The woman said I'm sorry I really don't want to be on camera. I'm sure Kate would jump up and down invite them in and start a tea service. But that's Kate, that is not everyone. She has no ability to understand not everyone is wired just like her. A chance to be on 60 Minutes with Lady Gaga and Anderson Cooper and you turn it down? Hell yes people turn things like this down. Hell yes not everyone wants attention. Hard to understand for Kate, very hard.
Bubbles, I'm sorry you don't think Child Labor is important enough for your time. Nobody, not one person from this site or any site is stopping YOU from moving on.
Please, don't tell US what to do. WE care about all children in Reality TV.
Sounds like Kate's performance- I mean, interview, was more of the same old bullsh*t.
I understand that Sharon Osbourne was conveniently absent from interviewing Kate, hmmmmmmmm.....
-------
Sharon probably would not have been able to hold her tongue. It's too bad. I didn't watch, but to hear that Kate the snake said she doesn't bash Jon on talk-shows?? Whaaaaa?? We have solid proof! Why does she lie? She is the most ignorant ass-hat ever. I so do hope someone calls her out on that little nugget right there. Her kids will just be so proud of their mommy when they are old enough to understand. (ha!)
I'm gonna tweet Jon some encouragement right now... Done. :)
