Jon 'very relieved' the show is canceled

"I hope that this will bring more privacy to my children and that they can get the proper attention they need for any personal issues they might have in the future."

Jon's interview to Radaronline pretty much sums it up.

http://www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2011/08/jon-gosselin-relieved-his-kids-will-no-longer-be-tv

Meanwhile, Kate says she's in the process of renewing her nursing license, which surprisingly, she kept current throughout this mess. It expires in October.
And finally, it's worth re-running our Open Letter to the Gosselin Children, since everything we said in 2009 rings true today. We sincerely wish you the best, little Gosselins.

Donna I plan to keep this blog to keep following Kate--she ain't over yet, as well as the plight of other kids in the public eye, mostly reality kids. Stick around! :)

What do you suppose will happen to Kate's straw hair now that TLC isn't going to ship her off to NYC to shut her up every time she acts up?

Maybe she could spin it into gold?

No Regrets said...

ADMIN gold? You are so BAD I tell ya. LOL

"@Kateplusmy8 you're always so positive Kate. Yet another reason why you're a great role model. Your fans got your back!"

Do these people even watch the show? Always positive? What universe do they live in?

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Sheesh I'd hate to think what her tweeple think is negative if they think Kate is positive.

Kate isn't being positive about this, friends. She's TRYING NOT TO LOSE IT. There's a difference.

No Regrets said...

I have met a few people in my life who are just clueless about life and what goes on in the world. Most of Kate's fans are like that. It just amazes me how these people get through life.

No one is a perfect parent, there are no handbooks that some with them when they are born. BUT many of these people seem to have no common sense at all when it comes to praising Kate's parenting. If they model themselves after her, I truly feel so sorry for their own kids.

No Regrets said...

They really need to THINK. How would THEY feel if many strangers talk about their kids? Watch them on the potty? Quote little things they say? Ask about their clothes? Ask what they do during the day? It would CREEP me out. Is there no protective instinct in these people? I JUST DON'T GET IT.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

It's one thing to say other people shouldn't judge Kate's parenting. It quite another to take it to that next level and actually suggest that certain parenting choices she's made are good ones.

The only thing I've learned out of this whole mess is there are a lot more stupid people out there than I gave this world credit for.

No Regrets said...

ADMIN that is pretty scary to me. There ARE plenty of stupid people. MORE than I ever dreamed of. That is scary as heck. What sort of parents are they? No wonder there are so many problems with kids today.

I was just looking at the episode guide for Jon & Kate Plus 8 and forgot how many episodes they packed into such a short time. They must have been filming constantly. No wonder Jon wanted to quit after season 4. During five seasons of filming (Calling them five seasons seems deceptive to me because they took place over the course of 2 1/2 years - April 2007 to November 2009) they filmed/aired 115 episodes! Crazy!

Kids can be so cruel. It's good they have each other, but I think they'll have a hard time.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Your heart is in the right place Hippie Chick but I'm not sure "they'll have each other" - from the way kart has raised them and from what we've seen on the show, it looks like they don't like each other very much. At the least, they don't respect each other.

They fight, hit, call names.... they haven't shown themselves on film to be loving toward each other.

Hopefully, it will change. Hopefully what we see of them fighting on camera is selective editing to make them look bad and increase ratings.

They are troubled children. I blame kart, not the kids. They have been raised by a woman who doesn't know how to parent.

Hopefully as the filming is no longer part of their lives they can return to some kind of normal and Jon can get them some counseling or some teacher will help them.

Kids are resilient. I just hope their schools are vigilent about preventing bullying. I'm just not sure how much support the kids will be for each other.

ESPECIALLY if they go to a larger public school to save money. I think it's so much harder to prevent bullying in a large school where there can be lack of oversight due to sheer numbers.

Teachers have a very hard job... teaching, preventing bullying, dealing with parents like kart....... hard job.

Although.............. a final thought just popped into my head - maybe the kids will thrive in a large school BECAUSE of the large numbers. They can get lost and avoid unwanted attention.

It can't have been easy to be constantly on display without a mom's protection.

The kids might just love a large school.

Who knows?

Sad.

I have also wondered if Kate and her fans have not considered that because she has X number of followers, that doesn't mean they are all fans. A lot of them are people who don't like her at all but like to get a good laugh out of Kate and her fans and the relationship between the 2. I think some of these fans actually think Kate cares about them.

The Bella person on Twitter, that is just so sad. She is 13 with a baby and Kate is her idol. So, so sad.

I had tears reading that. My heart just sank. As a mother of 5 girls that would have killed me. And idol? That blew my mind too. Obviously that baby had no guidance since she does have a child at that age, and to think she thinks Kate is special. VERY SAD.

"Permanent Name said...They fight, hit, call names.... they haven't shown themselves on film to be loving toward each other."

I agree with you. These babies have always been so mean to each other and Kate nor Jon for that matter didn't' stop that behavior. That upset me so bad to seem them for YEARS to hit and fight with each other so much. And yes all kids do hit and fight AT TIMES. But in my house growing up, and with my own kids, there was a rule. NO HITTING. No disrespecting your siblings. And it DOES work. You have to teach your children that. Kate was oblivious to it most of the time. Even when filmed they would show her footage and she would make a flippant remark about it. Proving that the kids were not with an adult when being filmed at times.

It still gets it me how the kids act,so jealous and hateful at times. And it is directly the parents' responsibility. I do hope they grow out of it.

****
Which makes it even more incredible when you consider how short an amount of time that truly is. These kids have known no other life than having cameras filming their every move. Like Jon, I pray that they are left in peace and get whatever help they made need to adjust.

No Regrets said...

And before someone says it, I know there are a lot of kids and they are vying for attention. It is hard with a large family. I had 8 siblings and raised 5 girls and one boy myself. BUT if a parent is attentive and gives them love, as my parents did you won't have that much of a problem. Those kids just haven't' had a mom who gives them their emotional needs.

************************************************
Couple of thoughts there....
1) It ISN"T Kate on Twitter
2) It's part of her delusional thinking (this is my pick)

It seems like she's always saying things about herself that that are blatantly not true (we just saw the exact opposite being shown on film).

Things like "I'm such a positive person."

Then how do you explain the Sarah Palin episode? (for just 1 of 1000 examples) Or the latest RV clip? Why are we seeing SO MANY scenes of her being demanding and negative? Because they have so many to choose from?

We NEVER see her being encouraging to someone, or consoling, or even empathetic (unless it's answering the critics ala the staged talking to one of the boys on the haystack). It's NEVER about the other person. It's always about her and her needs.

On Twitter she sounds like everything is Goodness & Light, whereas in the couch interviews she sounds (and looks) ugly and mean, and her filmed interactions with the kids are mostly drill sargeant-ish.

If it's all editing....where are the scenes of her interacting with the kids in a loving way, the way we saw Jon interacting? Where are the scenes of Jon interacting badly with the kids? Huh?

If she has so much say so about what gets shown, how come we aren't seeing scenes of HER being loving and JON being ugly?

Mel said...

And another thing....

She's saying that she had to take care of everything, that Jon did NOTHING!!! I, tell you, NOTHING!

Then how come in one of the recent episodes she clearly said, You try running 26 acres, and you don't even know how to do 1/2 of it.

The whole episode was about her not knowing about maintenance items in the house, and how she was assembling an instruction book for how/when/how often to do these things.

If she'd been doing everything at the old houses, wouldn't she have known about this stuff? Like the water softener?

Yeah, some stuff might be unique to this house (like the pool), but surely not much.

Lies, lies, lies.

I can see the headlines now "Kate consoles herself after she show is axed with a caramel machiato" Or "Despite her shows cancellation, Kate still manages to make her weekly trip to Target!" You know that kind of fluff photojournalism.

If it is Chris, he better hurry to get pics of her because by next week, she'll be just a bad memory. I think the Sheeple will eventually forget about Kate when some other Reality Personality takes over the tabloid pages.

What a joke about running 26 acres. All she does is write out the checks for the landscaping crew to mow, edge and weed. And taking care of that house....no way "her laziness" is cleaning and cooking. I have to laugh. I have 10 acres and I do it all by myself and it's a full time job and I have no kids left at home. This why I cannot stand her and her lies.

Uh, oh. I read on another blog, and I don't know if the poster is reliable or not, that Kate is trying to make a deal with other networks. That sounds like something she would do. I truly hope with all the critics out there bashing TLC that another network thinks twice before signing her up. Let's keep our fingers crossed that it is truly over. She's desparate to keep Steve in the picture, don't you think?

And now that the show has been cancelled, I hope the ratings don't spike because if they do, she could manage another TV deal.

Oh Kate, dear, you should have contacted Snooki. She could have given you pointers on how to create other businesses if the reality thingy goes belly up. (As your show did) Snooki makes 100K an episode to drink, act stupid, lay down with as many as she can. Go figure! Plus HER book is on the best selling list. LOL Gosh, Kate you mean Snooki has better business sense than you do? Tsk tsk Kate you do realize you are on the same level as Snooki, right? Famous only for being on a reality show. Ooops no you are not on the same level. She has a few businesses to lean on if Jersey Shore is cancelled. (Not sure which online article my friend got this from, she didn't send the link! Sorry.)

"The reality star is following on the heels of the signature slippers she launched last year with a collection of wedges, sandals and thongs well suited for the beach.

The footwear will retail for $15 and $50, and come in a variety of classic Snooki styles from a pickle pattern to leopard print.

She is also planning a line of sunglasses that will be available later this summer"

Snork! Haha. I can't believe I haven't learned by now not to drink while reading posts here. Or, well, maybe drinking would make Kate easier to take... I'm sure there is a Plus 8 drinking game out there.

Beth, I love how you referred to your grandson as a "little fellow", my great-grandmother did the same for my brothers and Dad and the phrase still tickles me and makes me smile to this day.

Re the 13 year old girl with the baby on twitter... Take it with a bit of salt. It could definitely be true though, especially since MTV has made teen pregnancy seem cool.

I'm actually surprised that the number of sextuplet births didn't skyrocket after Plus 8 became so popular.

all i can say is I love @Kateplusmy8 shes taught me so many tjings and changed my life:) i am a better person because of Kate:)

So I guess Kate has taught her how to lie, cheat and harass people. If this is her being a better person, I dread to think what she was before.

I think the teens think it is so cool to hang with the adults, that they don’t realize they are being manipulated by them. They are using the fact that they are minors to their advantage, and the whole thing they did to Ellen really pisses me off.

It's funny how MTV has both sides of the spectrum covered. You have drinking and disrspecting woman (who really wants to do the Situation, just the cameras I suppose is the draw) Jersey Shore, then you have Teen Mom on the other end.

I hope any girl who hooks up with that chipmonk looking idiot "situation", realizes how much of HO they looked like and was it worth the humuliation? That idiot has the fastest "gun" in the west based on how long he goes from kissing to calling a cab. A real man there. That guy is really a pig. I watched the show a few times to see what all the hoopla was about. I was appalled how he treated the females. They all have a terrible attitude towards females, but he is the worse. Disgusting. Plus the idiot girls put up with it, they know exactly what they are getting into. I just can't believe how popular that show is. Explains a lot about the attitudes of the younger generation today. It is one of the worst shows I have EVER seen. I doubt any network will touch Kate & the kids now. If TLC canceled, there's a reason. Not to mention, the fad is over. Kate is no longer a "struggling mother with 8 mouths to feed", she is a traveling circus w/ $2,000 haircuts & a revealing twitter account who really dropped the ball w/ all the things she talks about.

I know some networks who have bought the rights to ailing TV shows. When Scrubs got canceled, ABC bought them from NBC & Buffy the Vampire Slayer moved from the WB to CW I believe? But those were GOOD, solid shows, NOT reality. I have a feeling Kate won't be able to do much. Not to mention the fact that she is still in a contract until Feb, right? And if it's anything like Jon's contract, she may be iron clad & not be able to do SQUAT. No ads, NOTHING, until TLC says OK. Hey, it's only fair.
'You get what you get, & you don't get upset'
Right Kate? This is what YOU wanted, now it's over, don't play the blame game. It's ALL ON YOU.

Mimi to 3 said...

Even though TLC has cancelled her show, isn't she under contract with them until Feb. 2012. I'm certainly no expert on how networks or cable stations operate, but from what I have observed in the past they hold all the cards. I would be surprised if she can get anything with another network until after February, by which time she will have been out of the spotlight for a long time. TLC will no longer be sending her on the media tours that she so loves. No more limo trips to NYC for her hair. No more anything. She is a washed up has been that never really was.

Question for some of you that watch a lot of reality TV. I don't watch any, so I'm wondering if the people on the other shows are anything like Kate. She is so hated I just have to wonder about the other people. Thanks.

Kate Gosselin Wasn’t Told By TLC That ‘Kate Plus 8′ Was Canceled!

http://www.hollybaby.com/2011/08/18/kate-gosselin-kate-plus-8-canceled-new-job/#respond

A source close to Kate tells us that the mom-of-eight feels blindsided with TLC’s decision and she’s very ‘depressed’!

Kate Gosselin might sound upbeat on Twitter but a source tells us the reality star feels lost! HollyBaby.com has just learned that the Kate Plus 8 star is very upset over the cancellation of her reality show and Kate didn’t learn about the cancellation ahead of time — she discovered it at the same time as the rest of the world.

“Kate didn’t even learn about the cancellation from TLC, she read about it like everybody else,” our source says. “Kate is devastated. She had no idea that her show was going to be canceled, she thought this was something they’d film on and off until the kids went to college.”

TLC released the following statement: “By the end of this season Kate Plus 8 will have hit the 150 episode mark (including Jon & Kate Plus 8); an exceptional milestone. TLC hopes to check in with Kate and the family periodically with specials in the future.”

Ratings for Kate’s show had hit below the 1 million mark in recent weeks. We’re not sure what Kate’s next move should be and neither is she: “Kate doesn’t know what she’s going to do, she’s getting lots of offers but hasn’t settled on anything.”

Kate's delusional if she thinks there's a future in show business for her. She's never made any effort to preopare for anything. She forgets that for every Justin Bieber or Rebecca Blsck, who post a clip on youtube and become overnight sensations, there are literally millions of people who work, study and practice from early childhood and never get any further than their local community theatre. Black seems to be taking it all in stride and keeping grounded (and also studying and practicing). Bieber, love him, hate him or be indifferent to him, works his butt off for his fans. Not long ago there was an article about how, during a concert, he had to keep running backstage between songs to throw up, but he didn't want to disappoint his fans by cancelling. Can you see Kate doing something like this?

I doubt that the kids have each other to fall back on, too. For all that she insists on treating them like a pack, Kate is constantly pitting them against each other - Hannah against Leah and Alexis, the girls against the boys, Alexis against Collin, Collin against all the others, Cara against Mady, the tups against the twins. That kind of sibling rivalry is hard to overcome. They are constantly hitting and picking on each other, and they learned it from Kate. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry at one of the early episodes when Kate loudly and proudly announced "We don't hit in this family" then almost immediately turned around and smacked Jon. For all she kept trying to call them "love taps", you could tell it hurt and that Jon didn't like it.

Beth - thank your SIL for his service and your daughter for her strength and sacrifice. Have fun spoiling your GS.

I think we all know how tough junior high is, especially for girls. I was horribly bullied, starting in 1st grade and continuing until maybe grade 9 or so. It really sticks with you - I still remember the names of the worst bullies and I am in my 40s. I just don't think that things will ever be okay for these kids.
And the worst thing will be that they will not even be able to get any sympathy from their 'mother' when they have a bad day at school.

And Jenna, thanks for your kind words. I am lucky that both my husband and I appreciate the simple things in life. Our lake cabin is nothing special (I'd rather tear it down and start over) and we share it with my in-laws (who make me mental!!) but we are lucky to have someplace to get away.
I have learned that you have to be happy on the inside and then the rest of it doesn't matter so much. Too bad kHate never learned that lesson!

Mimi to 3 -- the only other show I ever watched that was remotely like J&K+8 was "Table For Twelve", with the Hayes family. They have 2 sets of twins and sextuplets about the same age as the G6 - one of whom is severely handicapped with cerebral palsy. They were polar opposites of Kate. Calm, easy going, respectful of each other and the kids. Dad is a cop and mom is a full-time SAHM. Lots of family and friends around, little drama, allowed the kids to be individuals. One of their tup boys was rather shy and awkward and reluctant to try new things. They encouraged him to try but let him take it at his own pace - no ridiculing, no telling him to "man up". The kids were given choices - in food, what to wear, a voice in what activities. They'd pack the kids up and go somewhere, no drama or complaints -- usually including other family members or friends in the outing. One very telling episode -- one of the little boys was sent home from kindergarten because he threw up. Sick boy, barf bucket - NO laundry room floor. Betty put him down on the couch in the family room and did her work around him. When the other kids came home he was right there, not isolated. When he had to make a grab for the barf bucket and the other kids all said "EEEEWWWWW', they got a gentle lecture from their mom about not making other people feel bad about something they couldn't help. Quite a contrast to Joelgate. Another instance - on the inevitable trip to the dentist, one of the little boys freaked out. Instead of dithering around and making the situation worse the way Kate did, his dad crawled into the dentist's chair and held him in his arms until the exam was over. Instant calm kid. Oh - BTW the Hayes sextuplets will be in the 2nd grade this year. They are, I believe, 6 months younger than the G8.

ITA! There's no other way to make sense of her thinking than "delusional". Getting so much money out of TLC just for filming a reality show is the equivalent of winning the lottery. No talent required.

She was given countless opportunities to capitalize on her TLC success such as co-hosting on The View, ET correspondent, DWTS, etc. and failed miserably. She puts no effort into improving her skills, just the outside appearance. Pretty faces and hot bodies are endless in NY and LA. There needs to be something more and that's where she falls flat.

Why does she think she has a future TV career when at the peak of her fame, she failed at all the opportunities presented to her? Delusional pretty much sums it up.

readerlady, thank you for the review of Table for 12. I only watched it a few times, but was very impressed by that family. Love abounded.

What a marked contrast to Kate and her 8. I guess that's why TLC preferred the Gosselins - more drama, more to hate, more to talk about, more polarization. Just the ticket for ratings. Ugh.

"A Pink Straight Jacket For Kate said...I wonder what is being offered to her? Knowing how toxic she is, who in their right mind would want to bring her on board any project?"

You are welcomed. IF she is getting "lots of offers" (which I don't' reallllllllllly buy the "lots") it has to do with a dating show or something along those lines.Something that they KNOW she will make a fool of herself. You know good ratings. LOL

READERLADY I agree that show was so sweet. I enjoyed the family dynamic. Betty said they weren't renewed because they were too "boring". Not enough drama. That is really sad. Amazingly they survived on a policeman's salary. I think they did get a small check for their handicapped daughter to. But the DID survive without the reality show.

That makes me so sad. It is a shame you went through that. I used to hate how some kids were singled out and picked on. Many were just because they were poor and didn't have the most stylish clothes. That used to make me so mad. I think I missed being the butt end of bullying because I had so many siblings and cousins. (thanks goodness) My family made up most of the school. LOL I am glad you have peace and are happy.

another couple days:

"Going to the grocery store +8. It'll be just my luck that the paparazzi show up (hint, hint)."

Next day:

"Listen up, paps. I'm going to be @ xx grocery on xx st., zip code xxxxx, Google map link, http:/xxx in 20 min. Y'all wanna make money or what?!"

It's so over said...

I don't doubt for a minute that she's getting lots of offers. There are plenty of vultures who are willing to swoop in and live off the dregs of a former D-lister.

Porn, "celebrity" endorsements for over-priced questionable products sold by fly-by-night companies, sleazy insurance endorsements, there's lots of stuff that could bring in a trickle of funds for a greedy idiot.

It won't be enough, of course, and it won't change the fact that she's completely done in the entertainment world, but she's stupid enough to drag this out and embarrass herself even more than she has. If that's possible, which seems unlikely.

What a shock it's gonna be when she discovers that former D-listers don't get limos, craft services, or the other perks she's taken for granted all these years.

Not surprised to read that she didn't get a call from TLC. Who knows her best? That says it all. She's been used up and spit out, and they want nothing more to do with her.

Maybe she can get into a record book for "most bridges burned". That sounds about right.

Basically Kate was auditioning when she appeared on those shows and she BLEW IT. I'm sure there are some offers like the Ab thing, but I doubt any self-respecting network would be interested. I think she'll push for a book, speaking tour and maybe involved in some made-for-tv movie about her life. As much as we are rejoicing that TLC has given her the boot, it's really not over for the kids. They will be forever in DVD's and with a mother like her, pushed to perform to line her pockets. I predict she'll be the stage mother from hell.

While I am nearly 100% against children being on reality tv (at least the kind where the children's homes become essentially sets) it is shows like Table For 12 that prove with good parents and a good support system, and when done for not more than a year or so, filmed only in short bursts, family/home based programs could do good for the family and entertain/educate the viewers. Still, though, I think they Hayse family are the exception not the rule. Most parents and adults like them wouldn't be inclined to do such a tv show in the first place.

TLC stinks said...

Right, Tamara. It's impossible to erase what those kids have been through, and Kate will be Kate. The damage has been done. Maybe, hopefully, the kids will not be dragged before the cameras any longer, but I truly doubt it unless Jon can get a fair judge to rule that she can't force the kids to work. Plenty of folks have large families and support them just fine. I don't understand what planet that judge in PA lives on. Kate is nothing but a lazy whiner.

I always thought that if she had gone on DWTS and did all that she said she was going to do, and made it to the top 3, even, and left well enough alone with her face she could have named her poison in Hollywood. At that time she was deeming herself the ratings queen, love me or hate me, I bring in the ratings, and everybody was vying for her. But she went on there and skated through on the backs of her kids and everybody knew what she was doing. She can talk the talk but won't walk the walk. If she was all the things that she says she is she would not be in the position she is now. One thing I can she does have the gift of gab on like say Twitter, that seems to be the perfect forum for her, as she comes across as a much gentler, kinder, concerned for others type of Khate. That is why she is addicted, that is her forum.

Anne said...

This may just be my own little fantasy, but there is an old saying "revenge is a dish best served cold." Does anyone believe maybe TLC or someone at TLC has spent the last year getting even with Khate?

I was believing for awhile that the edited footage was a ploy to drive up ratings by making Khate look horrid. However, it has really led to her demise and I believe it so easily could have been presented differently.

I think if it is true that TLC cold-cocked her with the announcement (and that would truly be a karma situation), that was their final blow. I mean the announcement was direct and cold and low and behold that night they already had promo clips stating it would be the last four episodes. Right after the terrible portrayal of her in the Q&A sessions with the warm and cuddly Jon footage.

Makes you go hmmmm?

That reminds me about the businesses. Heidi Fleiss has a show about her birds. But she also owns a laundromat of all things and a dog grooming business. When I watched she kept saying I gotta go to the laundromat and I was thinking does she not have a washer and dryer with all those birds. But she owns it and she emptied the machines and got a thousand dollars worth of quarters and was elated. She takes them to a casino and changes them out, goes and checks on her dog shop, then flies back home to be with her birds. It was not a bad show but I was distracted by her Hollywood lips. I think that is out now, but these people were still stuck with them. I guess my point is that she had the sense to get into businesses that had nothing to do with what is trending or Hollywood, just hard down every day businesses that every body uses. I know I am not well off at all but dog has to go to the beauty shop, whether I do or not (Maltese).

Add me to the list. Although after what happened to the Gosselins, not getting renewed was a blessing in disguise for the Hayes. It was refreshing to see that another HOM family can manage on a normal income, and it isn't always as stressful as Kate made it seem on their show.

Reality tv has really morphed into something very ugly. In the earlier days, when new reality shows (rather concepts) were popping up, it didn't seem to dwell solely on the dramatics. (It was the original concept that got me hooked like Fear Factor, American Idol, The Apprentice, etc.) Now, it seems these older reality shows (like The Bachelor/Bachelorette) are trying to stay alive by picking a cast that will cause lots of drama, topping one season from the next, to keep the viewers watching. It also doesn't help that networks saw that drama brought in bigger ratings.

Now that originality is practically gone and it's more apparent these shows are scripting and fabricating drama, I'm about done with reality tv. Especially when many networks are recycling others' concepts, creating carbon-copy versions of their own with crazier people. I still have a couple of favorites such as Deadliest Catch. I'm probably one of a minute group of viewers who would rather see a real "boring" family like the Hayes than a fake "dramatic" family like the Kardashians.

I remember showing up to my first day of 6th grade (1980) and all the girls had on Jordache and Gloria Vanderbilt jeans while I had on a pleated skirt with a sailor top!! Unbelievable, isn't it?
But I had the fear of god drilled into me and wouldn't have dared to revolt against my mom's rules.

However, shame on her for not taking advantage of other opportunities.

Maybe it's just the narcissistic celebs who don't get the message that they're about to be cancelled. The signs are all there, but they read those signs as "What a STAR!" Finally, somebody has to tap them on the shoulder, look them square in the eye and say "You're done here" before they get it. A more balanced celeb might have seen the writing on the wall and started making plans while waiting for their
show to be yanked.

Awhile back, maybe Spring of 2009, I could swear I read somewhere that Kate and Jon's contracts with TLC gave the network exclusive access to the Gosselin family through the tups turning 18. Basically, Kate cannot take the kids and do a reality show with any other network. So while her current contract may end in February, and she'll be free to do whatever, on her own, and without checking in with TLC, she absolutely will not be able to do reality tv with the kids. TLC's cancellation statement seems to support this, with its "hope to check back in..." comment. Anyone else remember this?

Kat Von D herself had a different spin on the news, however.

"I have no regrets and am very proud of the original footage. In my opinion, any attempt to compromise the honesty of that would be an insult to my fans and viewers."

Von D adds, "As grateful as I am to have been a part of a show like LA Ink, I'm ready to end this chapter and want to focus on other projects now."

Yay for the Gosselin kids! You are FREE!

Here's a taste of what the kids had to endure in the summer of 2008 for a Good Housekeeping November cover photo shoot, as seen in a rarely rerun episode of Jon & Kate Plus 8 called Picture Perfect

Day 1 Photo Shoot, morning session
-E-town home invaded by crew of 20+ strangers who steam clothing in the garage and put makeup on their father in the laundry room.
-Forced to work in 93 degree heat outside wearing fall clothing, including sweaters and/or long sleeved dresses.
-Kate laments that they need not just 1, but 101 pictures of the family on the back deck, which has been covered in cheesy fall decorations, which Kate calls "fall-ish and thanksgiving-y."
-Twins are understandably cranky, and Kate comments that Cara looks miserable in most of the pictures but Alexis's hair looks great

Day 1 Photo Shoot, afternoon session
-After a nap, kids are forced to put fall clothing back on for a shoot in the kitchen
-Jon comments that they had to pretend to do a craft project during the shoot

Day 2 Photo Shoot at Studio
-Kids dressed again in different fall clothing in the middle of summer, but thankfully this time they're inside a studio, albeit under bright lights
-Some kids balance precariously on boxes while entire family squeezes into small area for photos
-Multiple kids crying, Leah nearly passes out because she's hungry and hasn't had lunch yet
-GH staff uses puppets and brings in a dog to pacify the kids
-Kate insists the kids enjoy getting out and finding new people to play with (like adult strangers who work at a magazine??)
-5 minutes later, all kids melt down
-Episode ends with a dance party for some reason. At least the kids got to have some fun after 2 days of working.

The crap about living and breathing for her kids and they come first is pure bullcrap. If you truly live and breathe for your kids you don't talk about it you show it. She should have four or five irons in the fire right now and it shouldn't matter that the show is over. Instead, let the pity party begin. Waaaah... the show was how I supported my kids and big bad TLC took it away, what is the world going to do to help me?? I also think she's pulling a "Kate Bait" to keep herself relevant and martyred. I think she's trying to publicly get into a back and forth in the press with TLC. They wronged her- just like Jon did and now they will feel her wrath. IMHO of course :)

Hi,Tamara-

You said you were surprised there weren't more sextuplets born,when J&K&8 was popular....I agree, but then what Dr. in their right mind would implant a 13-18 yr. old girl?

Oh, I know, Michael Jackson's Dr.- how silly of me....!!! Our society is so messed up, that if you have the money, you can get whatever you want. Kate just had to mention something and then she was doing it or got whatever it was.Very sad and look at her now! Doesn't have pot to pee in, according to her!

She is "white-knuckling" it and looks close to a break-down. I wonder where the sheeple saw her being positive- I missed that sentence in the show! The sheeple all must be aliens, I think, or all deaf!(my apologies to all hearing-impaired).Kate is not positive -I can't think of a place she was at all!Positively negative!

I am worried about the 13 yr. old who thinks Kate is her hero? She has a baby and she's fine! I don't think so! I hope Kate didn't answer her back by saying- "how sweet,oh I, um,just love babies at that age; I have like, eight kids, you know! That's, like, so, um awesome -your(Katespeak) lucky!"

Kate, it's time to put your mommy jeans on now and stop talking to teeny-boppers on twitter! Birds all twitter, and then they just fly away- your twidiots will too. Get to steppin'- your own kids are wondering why you would rather talk to OPK's, instead of them......

I also don't think Kate knew when we found out. On the contrary, TLC did her the courtesy of telling her an entire few hours in advance!!! Remember her cryptic tweet that same morning about, whatever it was, look on the bright side everything will be fine or something odd like that. That's when she knew. I bet they sent it in an email or something.

I think she knew the show was on thin ice for sure for some time as she suddenly after that big meeting she had started talking about watching and telling 10 friends to watch, hence her act like a crazy person and post signs publicly saving not seals or babies or trees but our stupid TV SHOW campaign.

Guess what, Kate? TLC did you more courtesy than they did my narcissist, who has been as famous as you at times. Count yourself lucky. You even got a send-off trip AND lots of warning. She got no such send off season, nor any warning. In fact she was lied to and told another season was being written as they spoke. Then BAM she was done. Just like that, one of the highest paid women on prime time was a nobody again.

Also, remember that meeting Kate was so chipper about and taking all her sheeple ideas about places to go? I am virtually certain right now that meeting had nothing to do with all the fun things TLC had lined up, and everything to do with how if ratings don't get it together by the time the cross-country trip is about to air the show is DNR.

Also, we now know her "the show isn't going anywhere" was an outright lie. The truth was what she said later, TLC wasn't telling her until the morning of.

It sounds like Kate is getting ready to abandon her Twitter account...

Didn't TLC have something to do with Kate's Twitter page?

And what about Lafaire (sp) can she return to court to get the 10k?

There's not much point in Kate having a Twitter account now. She never figured out how to use it effectively and her ability to tweet nicely has now been completely compromised.

If she keeps tweeting now, all she can do is get into more and more trouble, which even she may finally have realized.

She's too slow-witted to learn how to use the account to her advantage, and, let's face it, 30,000 followers aren't enough to make a positive difference to any "career" she has going forward. Especially since it's obvious that many of them can't stand her, and most aren't even regular Twitter users themselves,

She doesn't "get" social media in the same way she didn't 'get" reality TV.

All selfish, no brains. It's a recipe for failure, now fully-baked.

"The show's not going anywhere."

Translation: TLC had dropped it. It's flat. It's dead. It's not going anywhere.

I agree with you Admin. TLC most likely gave her lots and lots of indications that renewal was unlikely, so Kate decided to take things into her own hands with her Call Pyramid. When that didn't help, she came up with The Contest.
That stupidity sealed her fate as TLC made their announcement.

(In light of the suicide of Russell Armstrong, I will refrain from any "jokes" about TLC kicking the bucket for Kate or Kate's Bucket List. In another time I would have gone there.)

I want to give kudos to the teen fans for waking up and realizing they were making a mistake. Now, if only the adult fans would have such sense.

Good for that teen who gets it. Actually it's worse than paparazzi. The fans don't just want pics taken from 20 yards away they want to know intimate details of the children. It's far worse than a pap pic. They selfishly want much more. So gross. Good for that teen.

Well, Kate is a twit, and Out to lunch permanently-

If she truly abandoned her account, she took all those young, impressionable tweens & teens for a ride.

She had all of them believing that she was not going anywhere, and that she was going to continue tweeting with them. Best friends forever, and ever.

I gather that it's going to be a huge disappointment to her young fans, who do not understand that she used them all to get more ratings.

As usual, it was all about Kate.

TLC's tv schedule for Kate Plus 8 is as follows:
8-22 Tree House & DC Cupcakes
8-29 RV Trip 1 hour
9-5 RV Breakdown - 1 hour
9-12 To be announced - 1 hour

I wonder what they have in store for Kate's last hour?

I figured out she had 23 one hour episodes from June 6, 2010 to Sept. 12, 2011 at $250,000 per one hour episode. She earned $5,750,000 for 15 months of filming Kate Plus 8. Plus $500,000 for DWTS and revenue for her last book in 2010. Plus all the freebies in numerous first class vacations, clothes, home upkeep, etc.

Keep in mind TLC will continue to do perodic specials. The kids are 7 and let's guess if they do yearly updates she could earn another $2,750,000. And that is based upon she would receive $250,000 per special. Over the many years, she would likely even earn more per special.

Keep in mind the above DOES NOT INCLUDE the previous six seasons of "Jon & Kate Plus 8", or her 3 books, free furniture, free appliances, clothes, numerous vacations, free tummy tuck, promotional fees, free 2009 Toyota SUV and gobs of other freebies.

It is all mind blowing. Kate will consecutively earn 10 million from TLC before the tups graduate from high school. Even if she pays 1/2 in taxes, she will have netted 5 million.

I'm surprised no one mentioned this tweet tonight from Kate the great. Collin needs "extra peptalks to do well."

What in the Sam heck???? Why is it any of the tweeple's damn business when a child needs extra special help and attention???? And why is Collin, who is clearly an amazing awesome kid, her perpetual whipping boy and constantly spun like he's this terrible child? Is it because he looks so much like Jon?

I can forgive teens, who are still growing and finding themselves and figuring out who is to admire and who is to condemn, so much more than I can forgive grown women and grandma's who support Kate. I know one of my biggest stalkers/harassers was indeed a senior citizen by her own admission. Seems to me by that age if you can't see that these kids are exploited, something is seriously wrong with you.

Whenever Kate mentions her girls giving her a massage it brings up bad memories...

When I was between 6 and 10 years old my mother used to make me massage her lower back when she was having bad headaches. And, of course, I could never seem to do it right.

My experience makes it hard for me to believe that her girls volunteer for this "nightly routine".

This, too, shall pass away said...

Kate certainly seems confident that she will continue to have a career on TV. I guess she's not aware of the hundreds of thousands of others who desire to be on TV, too, but aren't.

It's not like being on TV is like the nursing profession. There's a shortage of nurses (I've heard) not a shortage of TV wannabes.

I was enticed to watch some of Kate's recent Q&A (what could it hurt, the show's canceled). I was stunned at her appearance. Given I hadn't watched in years, Kate's complexion took me by surprise. Was she wearing blush over her tan? Her cheeks looked a different color. That hair, it looks so damaged. But likely she'll continue her treks to her NY stylist... she'll deem it a necessity to keeps up appearances.

Lastly, I wish I would read an article about Kate haven been splattered with rotten tomatoes. I wouldn't be capable of doing it, but there has to be someone who would!

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

I think trying to get the kids in the business as actors is virtually out for Kate. The sheer amount of time, drive, money and energy it takes to orchestrate getting a child into the business would just never be something she would be up to. She can talk all she wants about it but she's not going to make it happen, she doesn't have it in her.

And there's another element missing here, and that is the child really has to have the drive too. At the end of the day, if your child is even remotely apathetic about being a star, it's not going to work.

Several years ago, like maybe even 10 years ago, the E channel did a great one hour documentary following three child actors all about age 8 to 12 who were trying to become stars. It was fascinating. Every single one of the kids was so well-spoken and had big personality and were so dedicated to hitting it big. One of the kids' profiled is still doing bit parts in the business and singing, Renee Olstead. That kid was DRIVEN even at such a young age. A look at her IMDB page shows she dedicated her childhood to getting to where she is now.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

I'm sure the girls are happy to do whatever will calm Kate down and relax her and help her go to sleep. A lot of living with a narcissist involves constantly trying to keep them calm and cool so they're not flying off the handle at you. Or the other option is trying to stay as far away from them as possible.

Zoe said...

Even if one or more of the children wanted to be in show business, it's hard to imagine Kate giving up the spotlight for any of them. She would have to make it all about her somehow.

In thinking of the Gosselin vs the Duggar kids, I am amazed at the difference in behavior as reflected by the different parenting styles. I am not so religious, and the Duggar show doesn't go there too much, IMO. But Michele will tell a little one not to hit his sister because he would not like it if mom hit him. She gives examples and helps the kid to see ethical reasons for behaving, something most parenting books tell you is impossible with kids this young. Yet she does it, and the kids are so much better behaved and loving toward one another. There is no comparison with the Gosselins. They can bring all of those kids onto the Today show, while Kate has not even tried. 2 at a time on the couch finds them hitting, kicking, squealing, etc. Their baby behavior has been encouraged.

~~~~~~~~
One of the clips from the Q&A showed Kate pushing off two of the children who were squabbling. It's been apparent that Kate rarely, if ever, invests time in calmly neutralizing disputes or gives "ethical reasons" for anything much less follow someone's book. I'd bet it's more like "survival of the fittest" between the kids.
Kate acts like the kids are too much in her hair and always seem to be on her last nerve. If Kate wore a stress meter it would likely be on full tilt if two or more of her children were in the same room as she/close proximity.
During our recent viewing of the Q&A (in part), both of my daughters were appalled by the way Kate dictates to the children. They were also stunned by the way Kate points her finger at them while she's dictating. Those poor children likely know Kate's rules by rote, but have no true idea how to act if a rule doesn't apply. "I know I can't A, B, C... ...Z, but what can I do?"
You may have had issues with your parents, but the clothes thing got so out of hand that most public schools in my state have dress policies that are akin to uniforms. Usually pleated navy skirts or slacks for girls with white blouse and navy sweater. The same navy and white theme for boys. Way back when I taught at the 7th and 8th grade levels, I thought many of the girls must be clothed when they leave home and then dump the good stuff at a gas station on the way in. That is until moms came by to pick up these little kate gosselin-like tramps for a dental appt or whatever and it was clear mom had no problem. And sure, by 9th grade they were getting knocked up. Based on Kate's history of milking every source available to make money, I was wondering if anyone thinks she has applied for unemployment? Not sure if she gets paid once she and the kids complete filming an episode or after it airs?
I have nothing against anyone receiving unemployment, but can not imagine Kate standing in line with the "real people" filing a claim."
Furthermore, I suspect she is simmering right now, and her tweets will become more and more bitter as days go by. The fact that she thought this show would go on until the kids turned 18 is simply delusional. Typical Kate.
Bubbles said...
Kate has not been a direct employee of any company; she's been a contractor basically. So she wouldn't qualify for unemployment.
May the force be with you, Jon said...
Admin, I just read your post at the end of the Russell Armstrong thread about Jon inadvertently giving the best protection to his kids. I remember when TLC was suing him and he, apparently, capitulated and allowed filming to start back up. At that point, though, he said he had gone along with the filming because he was assured there were going to be just a few specials each year.
What really happened was the kids were filmed EVERY second they were not in school and taken out of school for more filming. The crap was totally filmed out of them (thank you for that terminology!)that first "season". But the episodes were called specials instead of a series, TLC showed them sporadically and I guess met the letter of the contract they'd signed with Jon, even if not what he considered the intent. But, by being so duplicitous in their dealings with him on that issue they pretty much assured Jon would never deal behind closed doors with them again. They made Jon realize he had to go to court at every excess exhibited because he understood neither they nor Kate really had his kids' best interests at heart. He was their only true voice, as powerless as he was. But he did keep trying.
I don't think he would stand in the way of any one child who expressed a true burning desire for show business. I do think his actions have made exploitation of the kids as a pack a thing of the past. And good luck to TLC getting him to sign off on any more "specials". Pretty sure that's not going to happen.
Bubbles, I'm not so sure about your thinking on the unemployment issue. I've seen a crap ton of performer W2s and they are employees, not contractors--even if they just worked one day. State governments got wise to employers trying to not pay benefits on people who worked for them by calling them contractors and forced employers to be a little more honorable. And, even if she is a 1099 contractor instead of a W2 employee that does not necessarily preclude her from collecting benefits. Claims from contractors are looked at on a case by case basis. She may be ruled eligible.
Marilyn, I hear ya..... sadly, the state of female middle school clothing hasn't changed much. This past spring left us wondering when Frederick's of Hollywood launched a junior section. And many of the parents are firmly behind their daughter's clothing choices and will vehemently defend little Miranda's right to let it all hang out.
I too, wish more would be done about bullying. It's a kind of sad joke that a laminated poster of our school district's no tolerance anti-bullying policy hangs in every classroom. No tolerance..... yet if a child reports that he is bullied the powers that be want to see a text, a facebook screenshot or hear from several witnesses. If someone is bullied who doesn't have evidence, the bulling is tolerated. If the bully happens to be a popular athlete type, they tend to get a pass while the "usual suspects" get the book thrown at them. Because my students have special needs they are often targeted, although I have found that a strongly worded conversation with the bully usually does the trick.
Sorry to go OT Admin, these issues really hit home with me, especially as I prepare to go back to school next week.
She lives in Hershey. Yes, that's the one. She wants a phone like Kate's, she tweeted Kate from the mall during a storm to ask her if she could be electrocuted sitting in a car, she tweeted Kate when she had to pee and her roommate was using the bathroom and she wanted to know what to do, she wanted to work out with her, she called her from the grocery store parking lot, she published her cell phone number on twitter and asked Kate to call her.
I think out of all Kate's loonies, she's the most spooky and the one to watch out for.
Bubbles, re the unemployment question. After thinking about it more, I seem to remember the payments went to a corporation set up as a conduit. If that is the case and Jon and she are the owners of the corporation then she will not be eligible. Corporation owners, even if they have to close the corporation, cannot claim benefits. (Otherwise owners would lay themselves off every time things got tight, collect for six months then rehire themselves.) I am not a CPA so am only speaking from general (not specific) knowledge. She probably is NOT eligible, though.
I don't think the kids will have a good chance of getting hired on another show. I remember a show about 15 years ago where a little boy was followed trying out during sitcom casting season, and he had a problem due to his "ethnic" look (according to his agent). He was a light-skinned Latino boy and looked mostly Caucasian, but he had very dark hair and eyes, and he apparently wouldn't fit in with whatever vague-ethnicity white sitcom families that were being formed that year. I don't know whatever happened to him, he must be in his 20's now.
The Gosselins would also have that same problem. They are darker than this boy was, and not as good-looking (or as talented, I would imagine). Maybe they could be in a school-type of show, if they really can act, but they won't fit in with some blah, blonde family.
My guess is that she's either going to get another show for herself without them, or they will begin singing.
You tweet to RT LESS than an hour ago and then tweet again less than an hour later than you JUST GOT HOME from eight (8) haircuts in your long list of things to do prepping for back-to-school. Eight (8) haircuts in less than an hour, REALLY? It takes my girl 45 minutes just to cut my hair the way I want it (without drying it), and my hair is short. How long do you spend on yourself for a single hair appointment Kate...SEVERAL HOURS. Plus it's only 9:25 a.m. here Central Time. LIAR.
Mandy, I'm with you. I've been offline for several days because we're traveling. Yesterday I visited the Dachau concentration camp near Munich, Germany. I felt sick the entire time, but feel it's an important part of history, and therefore, worth putting aside my discomfort and paying my respects. Standing where tens of thousands (of the hundreds of thousands imprisoned) died for no reason really gave me perspective about the Gosselin circus. And I see nothing's changed - she's still doing everything can not to remain relevant, but to BE relevant to the public - never mind her neglected children.
Even as a self proclaimed "hippie chick", I can tell Kate that life isn't always rainbows & sunshine. She will have bad days. She doesn't have to appease her masses everyday. Why can't she just be honest with herself? Life is going to be hard for awhile.
She is going to need to downsize, budget, find a job, her whole life is going to change & the VERY FIRST thing she needs to do is get the EFF off of twitter. She can't live a normal life, doing what she needs to do FOR HER KIDS talking to strangers. Step away from the phone Kate...& start planning your & your kids future. And STOP telling complete strangers what that consists of! Kate's "showbiz" career is over, it's time she realize that. Welcome to the real world honey! Now pick up a newspaper!
She could have been tweeting at the haircut place instead of using the time to talk with the kids. Read a book to a kid waiting to get his haircut next, ask a kid what he thinks so far of his hair. INTERACT WITH YOUR CHILDREN, KATE. I didn't say anything at first but now that you bring it up I too kind of thought that was awfully early in the morning to already be done with eight entire hair cuts. What did they do shut down the place?
It makes me very angry at these attitudes. Some students are powerless over these bullies, and need all the help they can get. Congrats, you sound like a great teacher!"
Thank you no regrets!
I hate bullying. I feel that the administrators at my school are missing a perfect opportunity to nip it in the bud at the middle school level, before the kids get to high school and the behavior escalates. No one is doing these kids any favors by dismissing the behavior, it just reinforces their feelings of entitlement. Then these kids are shocked, shocked I tell you!! when they get in trouble in college and they actually get charges pressed on them or get kicked off the team and lose their scholarship. And it's NEVER their fault, they always point the finger at everyone else.
Although we've had to put up with the Gosselin saga around here since 2004, I had mostly ignored them until 2008 when I heard Kevin and Jodi were kicked to the curb. I found some blogs and found out that Beth & Bob were gone, too. The kids had no voice, no advocate, they only had employees of Kate or TLC who signed iron-clad confidentiality agreements. Kate is a bully and she ensconced herself into a perfect situation to bully without repercussion, which to me was heartbreaking. It made perfect sense when the two had trouble at school last fall, they were acting out and modeling their mother's behavior.
Doesn't TLC usually film the back to school prep, including the haircuts? Gee, it must be killing Khate to actually have to open up her own wallet and pay for her kids herself for a change. Better get used to it!
Plus, I think she LOVES walking in everywhere with the camera crew in tow. It makes her feel like a big "stah". Now, she's just like every other mom getting the kids' haircuts before school starts. I think she must hate not having the crew with her and making a big scene wherever she goes. I bet she is a really crappy
tipper!
Hmm, I wonder if Chris the "papp" received a phone call and we'll be seeing photos soon of the parking lot strut with all eight kids? I really hope not! Time to leave the kids alone.
******
I don't think so. She probably killed time tweeting at the shop while waiting. Many of the shops do open early, some at 8 a.m. They have several stylists. They easily could have gotten haircuts when the shop opened, she tweeted from the shop, and she would have been home at 10:45.
Also another creepy twit from the creepy one. Yes you and Kate live 'parallyl' lives alright, along with about 10 million OTHER moms this month getting ready for school. Geez.
Is that yet another slam at Jon? She forgets about the single dads that also do back to school stuff? That "concept" is impressive to her? As if Jon does nothing at all, but the idea that some dads actually do things for the kids is impressive?
Eff you, Khate! In case you hadn't noticed, Jon is the only one in this family with a REAL job. Or a job at all! So, why should he take the kids for haircuts on a weekend when YOU sit on your flat ass all day doing nothing but tweeting?
Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...
Oh my eff-ing God it never stops with her and Jon! She really cannot help herself.
Let's review the episodes. Oh right, Jon did every damn thing for those kids, from baths to dressing to tucking in to fixing up the whole house for them including remodeling to driving to on and on and on. If taking care of these kids is a foreign concept to anyone, it's their mother.
Did she ASK Jon if he would take care of the haircuts and he said no? If not, then how dare she suggest he won't help. You have to communicate!!! How the eff does Jon know if she has or hasn't lined up haircuts, other back to school stuff, etc.
Jon tries to line up a haircut, next thing you know Kate's having a shit fit because she already scheduled one. Jon tries to take them back to school shopping, next thing you know Kate is having a shit fit because she already bought them such and such.
Jon KNOWS she has set him up and is wisely not stepping on any toes.
Sheeple alert, Kate!
"That concept is very impressive!"
Uh Kate? I know this will shock you, since you seem to think you are the ONLY "single" mom in the world. Do you have ANY idea just how many "single" Moms AND Dads out here in this big ole world? Moms and Dads who do NOT have the luxury of nannies, millions in the bank, and MANY single moms/dads are really just that. No help at all from the ex. NO child support, NO visitation with the kids. NO involvement with their kids AT ALL? You have NO idea just how lucky you are. Of course. You don't appreciate a freakin thing.
For now, it's over said...
Gosselin8ComeFirst said...
Based on Kate's history of milking every source available to make money, I was wondering if anyone thinks she has applied for unemployment? Not sure if she gets paid once she and the kids complete filming an episode or after it airs?
I have nothing against anyone receiving unemployment, but can not imagine Kate standing in line with the "real people" filing a claim."
**********
Kate wasn't fired and her job didn't end prematurely. TLC simply didn't renew her contract. "TLC has decided not to renew another season of Kate + 8." Kate signed a contract and agreed to provide TLC with episodes for a certain period of time and to be compensated for her work and at the end of each term the contract could be renewed or not. Both sides fulfilled this term of the contract and as was the option in all of the other contracts she signed; TLC opted to not renew.
This happens all the time in reality tv. There are no guarantees and there are generally no provisions for the individuals after the contract ends. Pure and simple, for now it's over (unless both sides opt to sign another contract). In Kate's case, with the kids needing Jon's signature on any new contracts, I don't think that's going to happen in the near future.
There are no words for that fan other than deranged. No hard feelings TLC but I've got a family to support???
Um, what is TLC, the Welfare Department? It's not their dang job to worry about Kate supporting her family. They're just a network just an employer. In fact I'm sure TLC would say we DID support this family paying them so much money there is no reason Kate shouldn't be set for 10 lifetimes, and it's not our fault Kate blew it all the way.
I really donlt get these sheeple. WHY on earth is it entertaining, fun, exciting, or even the slightest bit interesting to see other people's children get ready for back to school? Especially if you yourself are a mother. It's just the same old thing - haircuts, new shoes, clothes, backpacks, sports physicals, etc. Snooze.......
