It's possible. But, I just want to note that she tweeted that she was back home at 10:24 am. She did a few tweets at around 9:07, 9:15, and 9:30.
So, maybe they were getting haircuts from 9 to 10 am and she tweeted while there. It just seems so ridiculous to be tweeting when you are there with eight kids getting haircuts. Plus, doesn't she like to talk to the stylist and kids and see how they want their hair cut? Just seems odd to think of her sitting and tweeting when she's at the haircut place with eight kids. Also, as soon as she gets home from a hectic morning, she has nothing better to do than tweet and let everyone know what she just did?

I feel so bad for Mady and Cara. I just read the tweet where Kate said they massage her every night. WTF! Clearly, those girls have learned that to make everyone's life easier, including their younger siblings, cater to mommy's needs. Put mommy's needs #1 and hopefully they'll all survive the day intact. It's so sad and sick, but from the stories others have told about having narcissistic parents, all too typical.
You could see it in Mady when she was so concerned about Kate after her bungee jump meltdown. You could see it in Mady even at age 6 or 7 comforting Collin over the "gumgate" incident.
So sad for those kids. I really hope Jon is keeping a close eye on things and taking those kids to a therapist. He knows how damaging Kate is to a person's mental health and I pray he's trying to protect those kids as best he can from the damage their mother will inflict, with or without a TV show to feed her ego.

It might speak to it, but it doesn't confirm it. Kate addressed the tuition bill in that pap photo that was made at the copy machine. Tuition times eight - the money she needed to support the kids, not the money paid by TLC for tuition.
Additionally, if TLC would be subsidizing tuition and had a say in whether they could take off for filming, then TLC certainly would have had some influence over whether the two were expelled. It didn't. They were asked to be withdrawn. That fiasco certainly didn't speak well for the children and caused uproar over how beneficial filming was for the children who clearly suffered emotional and behavorial problems because the lack of socialization brought about from filming.
If TLC had paid for tuition (either in full or in part), then one perk would have been to allow filming at school. Think of how many episodes could have been filmed there - they would have gotten their money's worth filming various activities, after-school events, etc. They didn't. Filming was not permitted at school.

Hi, Friend in Pennsylvania. I think what TLC did was include "extra" $$ in her salary for her to enroll those kids in private school because TLC needed the kids available for filming. Most likely, and I agree, TLC did not pay the private school directly. If the kids had been enrolled in public school, they would have never been able to take so many unexcused absences. Perhaps this is why her salary was so high which was a shocker to me. And obviously, TLC could not control the kids' behavior in school.
Bottom line is that she should not be complaining about having to pay tuition if she had put the money aside.

The biggest crime in this twitter fiasco is the sick adults befreinding these lonely, needy teenagers. Some of them have their full names and locations posted on their profiles. A local bank here is doing a school supply/backpack drive. I lucked out and was able to buy 10 to donate because the price was incredible. Having grown up in a large family with limited means I know what it means to kids to have something new for school and was happy to do it.

I said this before a few weeks ago, but I am so tired of the comments about how much work it is to get kids in elementary school ready to go back to school. Really! A couple of afternoons of shopping, a morning of haircuts, an evening filling out forms. Sheesh, get over yourself! I would also like to point out that Kate doesn't even have to take her kids out shopping, except maybe for shoes...she could order all supplies online and DID order their uniforms (she tweeted about it a few weeks ago.) So that leaves us with the haircuts and shoes...everything else done from home. What exactly is the freaking big time and energy suck of that? Get over yourself. Oops, already said that. It never crossed our minds one must have and brand new one just to get a brand new one. The things we got new each year were things we grew out of, like shoes and clothes. Somewhere along the way new things for kids became less of because they need it because they are growing, and more of because they need it because they just need new things. WTF!

Hooray for Jansport. I heard a rumor they have lifetime warranties if you send in a run down backpack they'll mail you a new one, not sure if that's true.
If I had to guess the age of my Jansport I'd say about 9 months. LOL, it's way older than that in reality. I have taken it to Europe twice and am about to take it a third time. I was gonna buy a new one but decided to just stick to what I know.

Jansport is great about repairing or replacing their backpacks. Not that we've had to do it much. We've got one that is 15 years old - i's pretty grotty, but it still works just fine. We've owned a lot of them over the years, but only had to send one back, ourselves, for repair.

Jansport did replace a backpack my son managed to destroy (Trust me, he really worked at it.) sometime in the 80's. He then used it to finish high school, then college, then my daughter used it through high school and college. I'm now using it to cart my craft supplies around. I <3 Jansport.

I didn't realize that using the same backpack again makes one poor! Good God what is happening to us??? We are so darn materialistic. Sheesh everyone I knew growing up used the same backpack until it wore out. Usually two school years, maybe three if we pushed it. It never crossed our minds one must have and brand new one just to get a brand new one. The things we got new each year were things we grew out of, like shoes and clothes. Somewhere along the way new things for kids became less of because they need it because they are growing, and more of because they need it because they just need new things. WTF!
Kate is a representation of everything wrong with this country. People that must have the latest and greatest every single season. People who have spent what they don't have. And then when the bubble pops, it's disastrous.

There was a store that was going out of business last year & I stocked up on pencils, pens, school supplies, etc. I donated tons of stuff to my son's classroom w/ a ton of stuff left over for at least 3 years worth of school. And he's the type of kid that doesn't care about new backpacks or lunch boxes. I just clean them up! Obviously clothes are a given, the kid is growing like a weed, but the GALL of Kate to complain about having no money for her kids school supplies is crazy. Doesn't she have a savings account?
There are a ton of stores that are having sales, & you have all hit the nail on the head about just reusing items. The girls can switch their backpacks, as can the boys, just remove the initials she "so needed to have" on each one & Febreeze them. Problem solved. She has the cash, she just doesn't want to spend it. Well, welcome to real life Kate. We ALL have money we don't want to spend, it's called BILLS. When I see the mortgage bill, I would much rather donate half to charity & then put the other half away for a trip to Italy, but that isn't happening. Is she that naive???

I know! My kids actually WANT to keep reusing their backpacks. They picked them out and like them, so they don't want to change them unless they absolutely have to. A couple of years ago, my son's favorite green camo backpack from Gap was starting to have one strap slightly rip out of the top of the bag at the very end of the school year. So when school was over, we brought it to our local drycleaner who used industrial strength thread on it and sewed it back in. It was better than new and is STILL going strong!
I just have never even heard of this need for a brand new backpack and/or lunch box every year. It just hasn't even occurred to me as something they need. My kids like their stuff, take good care of it, and want to keep it. And, not to sound obnoxious like Khate, but I have to say something here just to prove my point. We are fortunate enough to be in an extremely favorable financial situation with all the things that Khate thinks only "celebrities" have (expensive private school tuitions, homes with property, pools, pool service, lawn service, cleaning service, luxury vehicles, vacations, etc.). I'm sorry, I never say that stuff but it's just to prove my point that if I wanted to buy my kids' new backpacks every year, it would mean nothing to me. But, I just am not that wasteful and neither are my kids. However, there is an organization not far from us that accepts donations of new backpacks and school supplies every year prior to the start of school. I even did that before my kids were of school age, and now it's something that they look forward to every year. These past few years with the economy being so bad, we have doubled the amount of bags and supplies that we donate. My kids LOVE to pick out the backpacks and supplies for other kids, and get so excited hoping they will be making other kids happy to be starting their school year off right. It's a shame that Khate's kids have grown up only knowing that the camera crew is here to film them picking out new school stuff while TLC pays for it.
As far as that lancasterwatch person on Twitter who offered her 8 new bags, I haven't checked Twitter yet but the name rings a bell. If I recall correctly, that's the account that was a brand new account when the person starting tweeting the news that Khate lost the Sylvia Lafair (sp?) suit. I remember that we had no confirmation from any news source yet, but this person had tweeted it already. I HOPE that this tweeted offer is nothing but a joke because that is just beyond ridiculous to give freebie backpacks to this millionaire when there are SO many kids who really need help.

He lost his license for a year in April, 2010. He was driving on the suspended license and pulled over for a traffic stop in October 2010, supposedly adding more time to the suspension. Preesi said Chris has someone drive him around now. While we already knew Kate pre-arranged these photo op$ in advance, now that Chris has lost his license and needs a ride it's 110% certain Kate is tipping him off.

Kate Gosselin is in back to school mode which means that the kids need haircuts. But, now that Kate’s show Kate Plus 8 has been cancelled, I’m wondering if she’s going to get any perks. I mean, if Kate takes the kids to get haircuts while filming for her show then there might be a little comping going on with the salon and with TLC. But if no one watches, will Kate have to pay? Shock horror.
Kate could use a haircut herself – that fringe is looking a big mangy. But without a solid revenue stream, will she splurge on those $2,000 hair treatments in the city? Let’s hope there will be some belt tightening around the Pennsylvania home.
And it’s not just haircuts. There’s so much at stake with losing this job. Think of all the trips they’ve taken. Even little things like going to museums and day trips to New York will all go bye bye when the show is over. That’s when I actually want to watch Kate Gosselin – when she has to deal with real reality. That would be a good show. Ironic, huh?

It really has nothing to do with an audit. As long as she produces receipts IF requested, and it can be proven that the money went for their education, she may take that money out of their fund. I'm not sure how that is set up for an accounting, or who oversees how the money is spent, if in fact, anyone does.
In PA, she also doesn't have to account to the court how her child support money is spent.
Agree that some of the kids don't look happy, but....
Notice in the first picture that Kate has a pleasant look on her face, and in the second one of the tups is happily smiling at the camera.

How much was that haircut? You can't cut bleached blond hair like that -- it shows every scissors mark. The ends look dried, split and frazzled. She needs to go to a salon in Reading. There are plenty of good ones that charge a fraction of what she paid for that mess.

Regarding the backpack sheeple. Did Kate acknowledge her? What does one do in this situation? Does Kate call the mall and tell them to contact the buyer for a refund? Or does she tell the mall to donate them to a social services agency for kids who don't have new backpacks? I'm sure Kate isn't going to drive an hour to pick up backpacks that she doesn't want and the kids more than likely won't use.
Just noticed that the pictures are out of order. The two with Kate having a pleasant look are late in the sequence, post haircuts.
The photos of the kids pre-haircuts, they look happy enough, one of the girls smiling directly at the camera. The kids don't start looking unhappy until the pictures AFTER they've had their haircuts.
I suppose Kate told the kids while they were in the shop all about the mean paps, and how victimized she is that the paps won't leave her alone.
Blows me away how she manipulates the kids. The kids have no way of knowing that the pap was called by somebody in the Kate camp and told what time to be there.
Also, I wonder if a nanny was with. In one of the pictures you can see someone else getting in or out of the van, who isn't in any of the other photos.

The person has on jean shorts, a white top, and black flip flops. Looks like a female from the style of the shorts.
Sure would be interesting to have the photographer not take such tight shots all the time, now wouldn't it....
The kids obviously don't differentiate between a pap with a camera and the crew with a camera.
They see a camera and they think, oh, there's someone we can be friendly with. They don't make the distinction between someone they know and someone they don't know. They appear to have no concept of stranger danger.
In their minds, camera = friendly person. Until Kate tells them otherwise.
Jansport makes a great backpack. My kids had ones with leather bottoms that lasted forever - like 6 years. I used to hand wash them in the kitchen sink and hang outside one or twice a year. Little kids usually want new ones ever year, because they are associated with their latest favorite movie or hero. And cheap ones don't last very long either. Lunch boxes can get gross if they aren't hard plastic and washed out regularly. Kate is only a geraphobe for show. How often does she change her handbags? Kate can ebay a few bags and shoes and be set for months w/o touching "her" savings accounts - all 11 of them.
Kate- you are so effin' stupid! Tlc does not own you or your filthy, lying mouth- you've been dumped and why anyone would want to quote you is laughable! You can't even speak English properly, but just because you make up words, doesn't mean you can say quotes are yours, too.
The sheeple that wants to use the 'consider the source comment,' should do just that! Kate is sure no wealth of info on any subject,and that phrase is as old as Kate.You, sheeple, shouldn't be responsible for educating anyone if you don't know any better than that....

I would so love to see Kate rushing in there to pick them up and nothing would be there!!Ha, ha.I guess we must have been poor, cause my 3 girls re-used theirs year after year, unless they lost them or they weren't usable.
One of my daughters refused to get a new back-pack or use a plastic lunch box, after gr. 3- said they were baby-ish!She used that plain, denim back-pack for everything, school, sleep-overs, brownie camp for years , until it fell apart!

Do you remember the rumor about Kate giving the kids the same lunch if they didn't eat it?
There was truth to that rumor. It came directly from a worker in the kids cafeteria. One of them showed up with moldy fruit because of this.
