Kate's angry bus stop pickup, Thursday 9/29/11

Infdaily.com
Is Kate taking the cancellation of the show out on the kids? What could they have possibly done between the walk from the bus to the car that would warrant such a vile outburst?

Just another lie from Kate. Bet she didn't count on Jon tweeting about having the kids.

OOPS.

Notice how there is a flurry of tweets in the evening, you know, around about the time the kids get returned to her. Piece...of...work.

Beth, first off so sorry to hear about your job.

Second though, I don't take joy in Kate not working. I take joy in the kids not working. I WANT Kate to get a job and support her kid with her own blood, sweat and tears for once. Most of us have suggested she go back to nursing.

A reality show is not a job, as most reasonable people including Jon have pointed out. It is a stint, a reality show. She had six years to come up with a plan as to what she would do when it was over, and she failed to do so.

Most people normally are not happy to see someone out of work. However, there are certain jobs I do not believe we should support. That includes, prostitution, drug dealing, other criminal activity, and of course, exploiting your kids.

Why can't those people that tweet learn to use Google. Kate didn't ask any questions about the injury or his medical history. Very stupid and dangerous, she is NOT a trained triage nurse. My SIL works for a nurse line that handles people that call in with questions like that for an insurance company. They have a huge book of protocols (computerized, too.) I see a malpractice suit in her future if she doesn't knock it off. Wonder if the PA BON would be approving her license renewal if they see her practicing nursing over tweeter?

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

When I call my health insurance company (big HMO) even if it's just to make an appointment they always start with their canned three or four questions like, Is there an emergency? Are you feeling dizzy, disoriented? Are you having chest pain?

Yeah it gets annoyed to say, no no no no just making an appointment, but it's a good example of how diligent and careful medical professionals are. The last thing you want to do these days is take to twitter to tell people with potentially serious medical problems you can't even see what to do.

What's next, Kate tells someone having a seizure not to bite their tongue?

Laurie said...

We keep hearing rumors about Kate gatting a radio gig. Unless you're a Howard Stern or an Oprah you're not going to make any money to speak of on Sirius/XM radio. IF Kate is able to get any type of radio or TV job she's going to have a big wake up call when she realizes that she's not going to get paid a whole hell of a lot. She's done nothing to earn the big bucks. If the sheeple don't have Sirius/XM I doubt that they're going to get it just to hear Kate on a weekly one hour show. If she does get one maybe her time slot will compete with Riley Martin!

Can't pretty much anyone get their own radio show on Sirius these days if you just pay for the slot?

I was under the impression most of satellite radio today was whoever wanted to pay for their slot.

She's just so helpless!

I'm confused!

She's Nuts, Don't hurt yourself trying to figure out Kate's blabberings today. She's lying is the short story, and also, see your own name.

I think that most of the Sirius/XM stations (accorging to my lissting) are actually legit with assigned format and shows. I don't think Sirius/XM would make enough to stay in business if they just let anyone on at any time. As with anything it's all about the ratings and the advertising you bring in. Regular, local radio is probably more like cable access and would be something that she could buy a time slot on. Kates's World, Kates's World, party time, excellent!

Westcoaster said...

Well good for Jon, every weekend but one with the kids. So once again, WTF does this incredibly overworked mom of 8 do with all the free time she has? Kids are gone from roughly 7-4 M-F, and 3 out of 4 weekends with their dad. Not exactly a single mom is she? It sounds like they have really normal Dad weekends, too - novel thought for Kate, visiting friends and their kids. Oh wait, you need friends for that.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Kate also reminded us all tonight her nanny is there four days a week, plus a cleaning lady.

We figured out several months ago that counting up only the days Kate doesn't have a nanny, about four or five a month and some weekends Jon actually spends just as much time with them as she does if not more.

SarahP said...

So sad to see the kids get chewed out like that in public. Bad enough in private but out there where the pap, classmates, parents, etc. can watch. Their little spirits must be so crushed by now. They are really going to needs some intense counseling in the future. And sadly their mom will have spent up all their money and they will not able to afford counseling that they deserve.

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

First of all, no need to snotty to make a point. Second of all, the point is that Kate implied the kids helped her today when really they were with Jon.

I assumed it was in response to decorating. My bad. I went back and checked and you're right, it was in response to changing out drawers, which she ALSO said happened today. A minor error but the main point remains.

So, makes no difference to the greater point, which is that Kate is implying the kids were here to help all day when really, they were with Jon. Most people here when they see an error point it out respectfully, no one objects to pointing out errors as long as you're respectful.

There is no need to be desperate to catch Kate in a lie, she lies on a daily basis and we have plenty to choose from.

Here is Kate's tweet with the caps added:
Whew!what a day!bday baking, laundry, fall kid CLOTHING SWITCH OVER, ran, made dinner, fall decorated. Yeah, I'm exhausted! What's new?

Then in response to someone else saying they did clothing switchout, she said: they helped& I did it real quick!

Exactly Midnight, the sheeple missed the whole point.

Could someone please explain why Kate is exhausted so much if she's with the children only in the evening and Jon had them three out of four weekends? What could possibly make her so tired? Inadequate diet? Thyroid? She admits she has sitters, housekeeper, laundry person, yard maintenance person, pool service. She gets up early, okay, but if she's without children all day and has domestic help, she could go back to bed and/or take naps during the day.

Why does she even have sitters? She can't take care of her own children in the evenings, or on the one or two weekends when they are not with Jon? Doesn't she go running in the evenings when the kids are home and with the sitter? I certainly could see that if they were toddlers and home every day and she had no nannies, sitters, housekeeper that she would need help. What mother wouldn't? But in her current situation, why is she so exhausted?

I have to agree.

Also, as an ER RN, a broken toe is about the silliest thing to get an x-ray for. Where I work, ER dr's roll their eyes with this one. Besides a kiss and a hug there's no treatment for a broken toe. Deal with it. Yeah, it hurts.

Kate was actually right with her ice and elevation. I guess a splint might help but it's not like the toe bone will heal 'crookedly'.

'Serious foot injury' is a bit dramatic, IMO.

The kids are getting older, more independent, to the point where do they really need constant supervision inside the house? Someone watching them 24/7 while Kate is also at home?

At the sextuplets' age, my siblings and I had some independence at home as our mom trusted us enough to stay out of trouble, behave appropriately when she wasn't watching over us (to do household work) because she reinforced rules and proper behavior consistently when we were younger. We weren't 100% perfectly behaved kids but we were never constant trouble-makers either.

And I don't buy the "count 'em 8 kids" excuse either. As a previous after-school teacher (in her own single classroom), I do know you can have 20+ properly behaved kids who follow classroom rules and procedures if you consistently enforce them. While it was my job to supervise them, I also knew that I could work on small-group or individual tutoring and not have to worry about my students turning into trouble-makers while I didn't have my constant eye on them.

Even day-care centers don't require two adults for 8 school-age kids; the ratio is actually much higher.

Unless Kate is busy doing her own thing (non-household related), it doesn't make sense why she needs an additional adult at home. You would think with her controlling ways those kids wouldn't act out around her presence, unless her over-controlling is actually hindering those kids from becoming independent and self-reliant.

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

The MINOR ERROR made had absolutely nothing to do with the greater point.

As for toe injuries, I'm surprised a nurse would generalize all broken toes as not serious. It depends on the injury. I saw broken toes people never went to the doctor for, but I also saw a broken pinky toe that got caught on a bedpost and was poking out to the side and wouldn't go back. Doc had to set it and gave them a boot.

Not all broken toes are serious, BUT not all broken toes are "nothing." Which is WHY...you call...your .... doctor. You don't call Kate Gosselin.

TLC Ship I totally agree. A full time nanny is an unnecessary expense that is draining the children's hard earned money. Kate needs to man up and watch her children herself. It's only a few hours a day and SHE DOESN'T WORK! I don't get it.

A nanny is a luxury she cannot afford being out of work. And it really bugs that the kids money is being blown on things Kate could do herself. She doesn't WANT to watch her kids so the kids have to pay someone else to do it from their cash.

A "TLC Employee" posted on the other blog that Kate never accepts or encourages gifts of any kind; that they go to TLC who turns them over to an organization in Maryland. The family does not, according to this insider, accepts gifts of money, toys, gift cards, homemade items (many were given when the tups were babies), nor does Jon receive anything because TLC opens the mail and packages. Nothing is delivered to the house because of security. Then why did Kate give Barb her address so packages could be sent to her? Kate tweeted not long ago that she received someone's package and thanked them for it.

I wonder if the yellow tulips Brownie delivered to the house during the divorce, or the homemade item she gave to Kate at an event, was re-directed to Maryland!

Really, Really? As an ER RN you should know that ALL broken bones no matter how small (pinkie toe) should be seen by a doctor becasue there is always the risk of infection at the break along with other complications. While there may not be much that can be done about the broken toe, it still should be seen. If the doctors in your ER are rolling their eyes when someone comes in with an injury like this, please give me the name of the hospital so that I never go there. Now if you're talking about a stress fracture, yes, that may be different.

Anger Issue, age and any disability is a factor for sure, and I too have lack of family. Almost no one left, and none that I could talk to. It's so hard. May only the best happen for you both.

I don't see how Kate could have not done a whole lot more to ensure she was not in her present predicament. She missed tons of chances to improve herself. If I was in her current position, I'd be terrified. I've known women who are too "upset" to work because the husband died or whatever. I know that I, and my best friend, would be out the door before the dirt had settled looking for a second job. Can't stand the young and able whining away.

I'm So Confused, I didn't mean that the babysitter is actually there 24/7. I meant it in the sense that the babysitter would have to constantly watch over them - monitoring the kids' every move for every second of the time he or she is at McMansion.

If the kids are constant trouble-makers or a danger to themselves or their siblings, then I would totally understand why Kate hired another adult.

I believe that good, consistent parenting at a very young age helps kids become independent and more self-reliant as they get older, to the point that they will act the want you want them to even when you're not watching them.

I broke my little finger playing basketball and the doctor did an X-ray and showed me the break and gave me a nice stable brace and tape and pain meds. No he couldn't do much about it, maybe it was no big deal in the grand scheme of things, but it was nice to not have a doctor rolling their eyes at me.

I know they probably wanted to roll their eyes at me when I went to the ER about eight times with severe stomach pain but no known cause. Never once did I hear it's all in my head, or see any kind of impatience or eye roll. I used to joke they probably have my flagged as a hypochondriac in my file. On the contrary, the doctors said let's just keep figuring this out, let's try this new thing or that new thing, we WILL get to the bottom of this problem we're not giving up. And they did, I got the meds I needed and I got my life back.

There's something to be said for compassionate, caring doctors. It may be just a tiny thing for them, but at that moment it's the biggest thing in their patient's life.

Anyway, if you break something? Go to the doctor. That's what they're here for.

It was at a weird angle, swelled up, turned blue, but I just shrugged it off because I figured nothing could be done for a broken toe. It must have been a nasty break, and even though I iced it and drank a few Scotches, it never seemed to heal right.

That was eight years ago. It's still hurts, especially in the winter, and there is still slight swelling. I am still kicking myself for not having seen the doc, but I guess it's better to kick myself than another bench!

Bottom line. See a doc. Not a non-practicing kidney dialysis nurse.

I have some serious questions about how the kids are fed.
We have seen from day 1 that that kids suck down pretty much everything that is put in front of them.I haven't watched in the last 2 years...but from reading here nothing much has changed.
I find it hard to believe that 8 (count them 8) kids will eat what is ever put before them. Not one of them didnt like a carrot...the spicy foods...the lettuce...brusslesprouts...a salad (my kids are 16 and 15 and wont touch a salad yet)
I know we have seen a epi where the boys didnt clean thier plate and get thier birthday cupcakes. But,pretty much EVERY episode where food is involved...the kids scarfe the food down like no tomorrow.Even if it's 2 crackers,a cucecumber slice and a crunchy thing.
When they went to the farm and GUZZLED down milk...that was so sad. Those kids acted like they have never had milk b4.What did kate say? Guess we dont need dinner cause they drank so much milk? Then she said she was too poor to buy milk unless it was on sale!!

This woman uses food as a control device. This is her way to keep the power.SHE will be the one to tell them how and what and when they can eat.She has all the power. If you dont eat what ever I decide to give you...even my sami-nilla chicken....YOU WILL PAY.

I'm guessing that TLC had to take that stance because early on she did take gifts - the T-shirt lady and she pointed out that some of the gifts were from fans at Christmas I think. Now that she is no longer a TLC employees the gloves are off. She is a grifter, she can't help herself. In her mind they owe it to her, for her time and sharing the kids with them.

Don't feel bad about saying anything about Kate, she has lots of money and she was fired for being rude, entitled, greedy and too difficult to deal with. TLC finally had enough of her!

It's a good thing, cause if Kate isn't working, then the kids aren't either.

Look, Kate lives for invoking that she is the best mother ever. When you have to do that constantly and verbalizing it, then it's simply not true. She uses organization as the crutch for totally controlling those children. It's quite scary. Some are submitting, others are rebelling. There is nothing we can do as she is their mother and I guess this is why we are so frustrated and continue to discuss her. Unless there is intervention by Jon, the courts, immediate family, those kids are in for a rough ride in life. Seeing her yell at the kids the minute they walked off the bus made me cringe. How embarrassing. Kate needs psychological counseling and Jon needs to press on this issue. Period.

pete c said...

What a miserable witch. She is insane. She psychologically tortures her children by favoring other peoples children. In the Australia episode she was so over nice to Steve Irwin's children and on the RV trip the way she played with and said I love you to Jamie's son. She does it to make her own children jealous and to torture them. I don't believe anyone has posted this, but think about it. When does she ever act so loving and affectionate towards her own children. She is evil.

The poster on the other blog could be right, but only about what was mailed TO TLC.

Kate's mailing address has been public knowledge for anyone with a computer and the time to look it up. She's accepted packages at the address for over 2 years now, from anyone and everyone. How do we know? Because there is photo proof of it all over the internet including Kate's own tweets.

I suppose it's possible that IF TLC received packages at their address for Jon and Kate over the years, that they donated the toys and money, etc., but that doesn't take into account anything and everything that was mailed directly to them at their PO Box. I don't think her not working with TLC anymore has anything to do with it and that it depends totally on where things are mailed.

TLC stinks said...

I seriously doubt that post was from a "TLC employee" regarding the Gosselins not accepting gifts. It is BS. I watched for years and I remember the valentine's day episode where a fan had sent them t-shirts and Jon would not wear his because it was too small, and another fan sent t-shirts numbering the kids and who can forget the fake Xmas where Kate commented on some religious dolls the kids received from a fan. She also took gifts from fans at her book signings. I resent her poor mouthing now because she is worth millions. People ought to donate to folks who truly are in need instead of being sucked in by this grifter.

I was also shaking my head at the nanny four days a week, cleaning lady, laundry "girl," etc.

If she's taught the kid's to pick up after themselves and given them regular chores, there's not much need for a cleaning lady since she's now unemployed and home full-time.

Ditto the laundry "girl." Even if she does 16 loads of laundry a week, she has two high-efficiency washers and two dryers. That's really eight loads, since she can run two at a time. That's not bad.

What is the nanny for? She obviously has the two "almost 11 year old" girls doing a lot of mom duty with the younger kids. The younger kid's, as others have pointed out, are seven, not three.

How hard is it to supervise snack/homework time, then allow them to play outside (weather permitting), then come in, wash hands, help set the table for dinner, eat dinner, then showers/baths/pajamas/down time? Not that hard especially when they're gone 8-10 hours a day (I'm including the long bus ride).

Wait, how silly of me, supervising all that would mean less twittering on her phone. THAT'S what the nanny is for--the morning getting ready (I bet the nanny takes them to the bus stop) and the afternoon/evening stuff.

By the way, I thought of Kate when I bought my daughter a graphing calculator the other day: $150. What's she going to do when six need them at the same time? They can't share them while taking the SAT. That's $900 worth of calculators, unless two of them can use M&C's old ones. Then only $600.

I wonder if Kate ever thinks past tomorrow: big kid clothing is much more expensive, and you can't shove as much of it into one load of wash. I doubt they'll be happy with the bird-like meals at that point, too. My brother, who grew to 6'2", went through three gallons of milk a week, and a couple of loaves of bread all on his own. And he was skinny as a rail, just growing fast!

I can't even begin to imagine what 8 teenagers are going to be like. I raised one and it was do-able. Two would have been do-able. Any more than that would have stretched the limits of our resources.

Beth, I'm so sorry to hear about your job situation. Please don't beat yourself up that you were happy Kate's show was cancelled. It is a shared happiness that the children were freed from the relentless invasion of their privacy. I see nothing wrong with that.

Kate didn't lose a job that required any particular intelligence, talent or special abilities on her part. All it required was greed, her desire to be famous, and her willingness and eagerness to put her children to work and disrespect them in every way imaginable.

Unlike most people who lose a job, Kate will not work hard to find another source of employment. She is clearly only looking for something in the entertainment industry, but the only offers she will get in that area will be those that intend to exploit her or her children.

She will have a rough road ahead of her unless she grows up and starts putting her children's needs and happiness ahead of her own. Sadly for them, we all know the likelihood of that is slim.

I disagree. Their job is to teach, not monitor food intake or what is packed in their lunchboxes. You just said that the kids scarf down everything that is in front of them. By this logic, then, the kids eat what is in their lunches. They obviously have food in their lunch boxes - they don't go with empty lunches. What exactly is Kate getting away with? Not sending sandwiches? Not all kids in school eat exactly the same things for lunch. What should the teacher speak up about? That the kids are eating their lunches but it's not the "normal" lunch (sandwiches) that many kids pack?

I also remember the twins receiving American Girl doll clothing from fans. I can't remember exactly, but I think it was for their birthday. It was in the early days when I watched. Kate actually said to the twins, say thank you to your fans/viewers, they are so generous. Then later in the couch interview, Kate commented on how they often receive gifts from thier viewers. She was saying it was unbelievable that people who don't even know them would send such generous gifts.

I am sure Kate has no problem accepting gifts from these delusional people. She certainly is making sure the twins birthday does not go by unannounced. Giving her tweeple plenty of shopping and shipping time.

I also found her tweet about her BBB strange. Who tweets that unless they are looking for a handout. Why tweet that it is a Dodge Sprinter or whatever it was. Is she really expecting someone to donate a family van to her after she just bought that impractical two seater?

I said this before, that she had tweeted that the BBB was on it's last legs. This was BEFORE the purchase of the Audi was revealed, so why didn't she use the Audi money to go towards a family vehicle. She is so pathetic and I can't believe there are still people out there that are so stupid to fall for her "poor me" routine.

People seem to get hung up on Kate referring to the kind of van she has. I don't like Kate, and I'm not excusing her on anything. But Kate needed to say the model of van because it was necessary for the story she was telling. Otherwise, what Collin said would not have made sense.

From Kate:
We’ve been having mechanical isues/malfunctions with the Big Blue Bus (it’s a Dodge Sprinter) and the kids and myself were discussing them on the way to school yesterday morning — all the changes that it will cause when it goes into the shop.
Quietly and completely deadpan, I hear Collin say from his seat behind me, ”The Sprinter is turning into a Splinter!”

The story only makes sense if you know the bus is a Sprinter. In this case, I don't think she was grifting.

Control freaks will not share anything. Do you think for an instant that Kate would let a "friend" haul her little money machines? She has to be in control (or think she is). Thus, only paid personnel will be transporting, babysitting, cleaning, etc. for her kids. Sad, really. Fear is controlling her, while she struggles to control the little ATM's who live with her. She is still living off her kids and the fact that she is not working outside her home is no accident. Don't fall for it for an instant. Follow the money. Those funds might get the kids to age 18, but there will be no windfall for any of them. The kids will be filled with questions. Mark my words. It will be ugly.

My money is on the website. It's terrible to begin with. Unless you follow Kate's tweets, you'd never know what subcategory was updated. The homepage never changes! Any site you go to that's not update gets navigated away from in a nanosecond. Not to even mention that most of her categories aren't live yet. I don't think Kate thought the website through. Oh perhaps she has to find out what the repairs are going to be for the BBB, or call and beg for a job. Again, 20 minutes, tops.

Think the blondies came from her baking day yesterday, you remember when superwoman Cleaned! Decorated! and Baked!.And Organized! all the drawers. I'm not sure what Kate is "getting away with" -- she is sending lunches with the kids, and if they're hungry they eat their lunches. They are being provided with food, maybe not what many of us would send with our children, but none-the-less they are not being starved. This could be the kind of lunch they are used to eating. It looks like she sent a very good lunch along with them today.

How can we possibly know her calls are going to take 20 minutes? I've had to call customer service at banks, utilities and other institutions

paperwork and phone calls are general terms for:" I'm busy" and "I'm important" so I can't talk to you.
does it really matter how long the phone call(s) is? or the paperwork? after all she called traveling around the country and the world "WORK" if that signifies anything.

Westcoaster said...

Honestly, I just tossed 20 minutes out there as a number, yes, she could have to spend way more time with annoying phone calls, but the real point is how often she uses "paperwork" and "organizing" as an excuse for looking busy in what is now a jobless life. When my children were at school (finally), and yes, I did not have 8, but before I re-entered the work force, my days were always busy with volunteering (PTA, synagogue, docent) work, gym, errands, then afterschool car pools to Scouts, soccer, etc. Going back to work actually calmed my life down LOL. K8 has very little to do, AND still has a cadre of help. Paperwork and phone calls are just excuse words for her. That's all I meant.

My kids have a regular babysitter who comes once a week so I can run around and get things done or go on a date with my husband etc. and they are 6, 8, and 15. My 15 year old does babysit for us as well on occasion, when I need to run to the store or if our regular sitter isn't available.

And for the record, I am a stay at home mom at the moment. I don't fault any parents who use a regular sitter. As we all know, being a parent is full time job and while we love our kids we all need a break occasionally.

I volunteer a lot in my community, including my kids schools, and I try and get most of my work done before my kids get home but sometimes that isn't possible, especially if I have to go to a meeting etc.

I think the complaint most people have with Kate is that she complains about being so put upon and how much she has to do and how exhausting it all is, however she seems to put off doing all the things she needs to do until the kids get home. Based on her comments, it seems like she could do a better job of managing her time, is all. Either that or stop complaining because we're all busy and we're all in the same boat and there's not a lot of sympathy for doing something that any parent does automatically without looking for recognition.

Actually, hiring a sitter, helper, babysitter, call it what you will, is very normal for children that age. What is not normal is having these people around 7-4 when children are in school. Also, for the 2-3 hours the kids are home and awake, so Kate can't handle the kids for 2-4 hours, a day, by herself during the week? And one weekend a month(if we believe that?)These kids are not babies, toddlers either, I can see a baby sitter/sitter/hired help, if for an meeting/shopping/ or emergency , but for after school? Kate does not work? KATE IS LAZY!

I wonder if Kate might have the sitters on a year by year contract, and they will be gone in Dec. unless Kate gets more substantial work to pay for them. Or, if TLC hired them, this might have been one of their concessions to Kate - babysitters until (Date).

Just an idea.

Alexis replied, “I’m sleep feet walking!”
“But you’re awake!”

I'm curious. Who is this person who has a blog and mentors teenagers? Does she mentor the twins? I read Twitter very infrequently, and some comments here, and was wondering why this person, often called Brown Noser, sparks so many remarks. Is she one of Kate's assistants - she calls her "friend," and tweets to her like she's close to her, almost like she has a very personal relationship with her and knows what Kate does on a daily basis.

I noticed that she's somewhat hyper and "talks" more like a teenager than a grown woman.

In the above tweet, she's referring to Kate's kids not being in the car for the infamous speeding ticket. Wasn't it confirmed that her children were in the car with her when she was ticketed some other time for speeding?

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

So it's ok to speed if the kids are not in the car? What about other people on the road with kids put at risk?? Unbelievable to justify excessive speeding, truly.

I think that these sheeple are so far gone in their support of her (such as Brownie) that no matter what Kate does, they will grasp at straws to find some way to excuse her behavior, and they are oblivious to how incredibly stupid they sound.

Wasn't Brownie the one who was teasing Kate about going 100 mph? Yet here we have someone who befriends teenage girls and advises them on life situations.

I just don't get it.

Alexis replied, “I’m sleep feet walking!”
“But you’re awake!”
Alexis answered, “No No, I’m walking and my foot is asleep!”
Too cute!"

Tricky how Kate is careful not to mention WHO the child was speaking to. Clearly it wasnt That Woman or she would have said Me! Me! Me! I! I! I! at least a dozen times in that one little blurb.

"... the clarification question was..." ?? what a round about way of leaving out pronouns in order to say, "so the nanny or my boobyguard asked her what she was talking about...".

I know I shouldnt pick on the kids, but 'my foot's asleep' means "I'm feet walking"? Sounds like something a young toddler would scramble to say, not a seven year old.

What I think Mimi was saying was that the sitter shouldn't be called a BABYsitter. If I'm wrong, please say so Mimi, as I'm not a professional blog translator and explainer ;) IMO, putting baby in front of sitter is a nitpicking complaint. Especially compared to how much Kate tries to keep the six immature in so many other ways. If they were many others I could see how a 7 year old might balk at having a BABYsitter. And the six themselves might balk, but there are so many other things....

Anderson Cooper's Daytime Talk Show Struck by Teen Coma Tragedy

Anderson Cooper's new daytime talk show, Anderson, is dealing with its first tragic situation.

After three weeks on television, Gawker reports that a teenager is in a coma after a producer from Anderson allegedly encouraged him to record his behavior for an episode centered on the "teenage mind."

According to the report, the teenage boy was set to appear during an episode that delved into how the adolescent mind operated. Prior to the scheduled appearance, a producer told the teenager to "film the crazy stuff you do." The teenager subsequently filmed himself skateboarding and fell, where he suffered a serious injury to the head, and is in a coma, the report states. The episode was never broadcast.

A rep for Anderson confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter on Saturday afternoon that the teenager "had been injured."

"Our producers were working with a teen and his parents on a show about the science of the Teenage Brain, based on a National Geographic story," the rep's statement read. "As part of our routine process, we ask guests for video footage and photos. We did not provide the family with a camera. On the morning that they were supposed to travel to NYC, we learned that the teen had been injured. We are very concerned about him, and are thinking of him and his family at this time."

Cooper released a statement on Saturday evening in response to the accident.

"I was very saddened to hear the news of this accident, and want to express my deepest concerns for the teenager who was injured," he said. "I take this situation seriously, and my thoughts and prayers for his health, well-being and recovery are with him and his family."

What a shame. I was always worrying about my son as a teen, skateboarding and snowboarding, bungee jumping etc. He was fearless.

However, is it being implied that if the producer had not told the teen to film the crazy stuff he does, he wouldn't have been skateboarding that day and wouldn't have had the accident?

Wow, sorry, Kate, but those were not "cute". I recall a show, Kids say the dardest things. Is she thinking that her school age children are going to be making quips like the little tykes on that show? I think the host would ask the kids questions and that's when they'd say some pretty funny stuff. Since Kate doesn't interact with her children like that I don't imagine that will be a busy page unless she plagiarizes some of the old scripts off the internet. Sorry, saying your sprinter is a splinter isn't sensible or "cute" just nonsense. Granted not as bad as the long, poorly told sleeping feet tale. Yawn, boring stories and another stolen idea badly done.

New post up on Kate's site. It does have several (IMO) very unappetizing pictures along with it.

Picture 1: "Kate's Salad" in a take out container (the best picture of the lot because you can't really see stuff clearly)

Picture 2: I can't tell what most of the stuff on the plate is. It looks unappetizing to me, as I said. There is 1/2 an avocado. What looks like maybe 6 whole grain crackers of some kind. The rest of it just looks like slop to me. There are some cherry tomatoes in it, but that's about all I can identify readily.

Picture 3: I think she posted this one on twitter previously. It's got 1/2 an avocado again. Some Cottage Cheese. Some lettuce covered in misc. slop. (again it looks unappetizing to me and I am a huge salad eater. I would eat them twice a day every day and be pretty happy, but not that look like Kate's).

Blogger is being pissy with me so I am going to try splitting this up into several posts and see if that helps.

What I'm Eating

I’ve received many many questions about what I eat. The answer to that question is that I always eat healthy (almost always!) and for the most part, I eat whatever my body is craving.

I’ll give you some examples of typical foods – meals and snacks – that I eat and let you decide if it will work for you!

I also need to mention that I do NOT follow any certain diet or plan. I take no supplements and do nothing drastic. I do run on average every other day, completing about 20-30 miles per week — without a trainer!

With all of that said:
Breakfast (6 am): My typical breakfast is a mixture of 4 different brands of cereals that I combine into 1 bowl. My current favorites are: All Bran, Cascadian Farms Raisin Bran, Cascadian Farms Multigrain Squares and Kashi 7 Whole Grain Nuggets. I eat a total of about 1 1/2 cups of cereal each morning.
I also drink 1-2 cups of coffee with about 1/3 cup total fat free coffeemate. [total rough estimate - 500 calories for breakfast]

For a morning snack (9:30 or 10 am): If I have a snack, I’ll usually grab two Suzies Agave sweetened Kamut cakes with a very thin smear of peanut butter (I buy Marathon brand organic so I can pour off extra oil on top! Cuts fat and not protein!) on it. [total - about 100 calories]

Lunch (12 noon-ish): On good and organized days, I’ll grab a salad that I prepared ahead of time and put in my own take out container. It’s one of my very own “Kate Salads” that contains mixed greens, tomato, red (or green pepper), cucumber, red or Vidalia onion, half an avocado, a sprinkle of fat free feta cheese, a half cup low fat cottage cheese, and about a tablespoon of finely chopped Blue Diamond smoked almonds. For dressing, I spritz about 20 squirts of Wish Bone Salad Spritzers (Balsamic Breeze flavor) on top.

This lunch is delicious and covers all food groups and I consider my salad to be a super duper food! Sometimes I eat one of these salads for dinner too!
[I can't guess at calories on this one]

(more in the next post)

Why does BrownNose feel the need to defend Kate anyway? She is NOT her friend. Kate barely tolerates her.

Also, if I had a teen-aged daughter in a program to empower teens and I found out the person running the program was stalking Kate Gosselin, I'd get my kid out of that group in a New York Second.

What does she teach them? "If you like someone you think is famous, harass them until they answer you. Buy them things. Defend them online to strangers who laugh at you but whatever you do, BE EMPOWERED!"

"Kate Salad" made ahead in a take out container -- to save time!

Snack (3pm): Sometimes I’ll grab a handful of dried apricots and five raw almonds (as I’m running out the door to the bus stop!) [calories? 100?]

Dinner (6 pm): I’ll have another “Kate Salad” or I’ll make an egg white omelet. To the egg whites I’ll add: a handful of fresh spinach, a sprinkle of fat free feta cheese, 8 cherry tomatoes (halved), Vidalia onion, mushrooms, and even broccoli… Really any vege that’s in my fridge goes into my dinner! I also grind some fresh black pepper on top! Yum!
I add a handful of my favorite crackers to give it some crunch! Right now, I am eating Brad’s Raw Chips. They are raw veges that aren’t baked or fried – just dehydrated – and are amazing! My favorite flavors are sweet potato and red bell pepper.
[again- no calorie guess here]

My egg white omelet dinner. I added a half a cup of salsa and half an avocado too! Yum!

"Kate Salad!!!!"

Snack (if I MUST) around (7:30 or 8pm): (I do not believe in eating after 8 pm but can’t say I ALWAYS abide), I will sometimes have 2-3 fat free Fig Newmans.
[calories: 100-150]

There are many other things I eat but above is just an example of a day of my intake.

A few other things to note-
1. Drink lots of water! Sometimes when you feel hungry, you are really just thirsty! So, I always drink first!
2. I really think long and hard before I have a glass of wine. Although it seems harmless, it adds calories to my daily intake!
3. Can’t watch what you eat without adding exercise! I run to improve my fitness and I don’t use it an excuse to “eat what I want!” With that said, I do have dessert on occasion and remember to savor every bite! :)
4. I don’t “count calories” as such. I do watch the types of foods I eat and the amounts of them I’m eating. I “counted” calories above for the readers benefit only and I probably miscounted!
5. On days that I just don’t care and I’m ravenous constantly and can’t convince myself to put my running shoes on, (I’m talking to YOU, PMS!!!) I try not to beat myself up! On those days, I try to do as much excercise as I can, try to make smart food choices and if chocolate wins that day — I move on!

I always tell myself: Tomorrow is another day and today won’t ruin what I’m working towards… unless I throw in the towel and let it! But that’s MY choice! :)

Hope this helps!
xoxo

Regarding Kate's latest useless drivel, she's too lazy to check and include calories for each meal. LOL! How does that help anyone stupid enough to depend on her blog for diet help?

Wow! I don't pretend to be a dietary expert, but I'm a diabetic and I have to be pretty conscious of food balance. Just looking at her "what I'm eating" - her diet is deficient in protein and healthy fats. At a guess, she has, maybe, 10 grams of fat. No wonder her skin and hair look so damaged. 20 - 30% of a healthy diet should be (good) fats to maintain healthy skin and hair. I'd also estimate her caloric intake to be around 1200 - 1500 calories. That's nowhere near enough for her activity level, if she is indeed running, or even walking, as much as she claims. I certainly hope her kids are getting a better balanced diet than she is. She seems to think it's a badge of accomplishment to have come up with this plan all on her own, but she would be far better off, and much healthier, if she had a couple of sessions with a dietitian to plan out a balanced diet of around 1700 to 2000 calories a day.

Good God, her body is being starved. I log about 20 miles per week and also cycle for hours and do strength training and I eat whatever I want. I crave healthy food (and am a vegetarian) and push enough produce to choke a herd of horses through my bod, but I also eat a lot of cheese, nuts (not five either), plus chips and even a couple cookies each day. I eat a ton of peanut butter, not a low-calorie food. At the Seahawks game yesterday, I ate a small vat of fried rice and popcorn! I never deprive myself; when you do, you binge. I just eat normal amounts of food and take leftovers home from restaurants for lunch again. I love wine and tequila. I don't think about those either. Kate, you fool, if you are as active as you say, your motto should be 'everything in moderation, including moderation." Signed - your fellow (snort!) size 4.

I figured it at about 1500 calories. Not terrible if all you're doing is sitting around, but she said she runs 5-7 miles every other day. That is NOT what a runner would eat, so either she's lying about running That much (more likely) or lying about what she eats.

And DAMN it's boring! Cold cereal, some dried fruit and nuts and two salads. Ug.

I'm having a salad tonight, but it has spinach and mixed spring greens, thinly sliced green apples, pecans, bleu cheese and a cherry balsamic dressing I made myself. One of my husband's favorites (his #1 favorite has thinly sliced pears and gorgonzola instead of the apples and bleu cheese).

BUT we're also having a serving of lean grilled New York strip with a little horseradish on the side and sweet potato fries (baked, and so good).

Unlike Kate, I don't hesitate to have a glass of wine with dinner because of calories. I'm an adult and can enjoy a glass without fretting over it. Life's too short for that.

Everything in her life is so dry, sterile, cold, joyless and controlled.

Wake up and smell the Starbucks, Brownie. If Kate were cited with DUI, would you still defend her, saying that she was probably under stress and she only had two mixed drinks (doubles!) but because she's so lean and trim she didn't estimate the amount it would take to get her feeling tipsy?
Yeah, right, Brownie, whatever.

I was thinking about this as I prepared veggie tacos - would Kate accommodate any of the kids if they didn't want what everyone else was getting? I doubt it. She's not setting a good example by not eating what they eat. Also, I busted out laughing when I recalled she said to drink water when you're hungry, because sometimes when you feel hungry, you are just thirsty. Um, OK. And egg whites all the time? Yuck! All the vitamins are in the yolk and an egg only has 70 calories for the whole thing! I do think you hit the nail on the head and this is the one thing she can truly control to her heart's content.

Admin, I'm in Seattle where Amanda Knox hails from, so we were waiting to see what would happen. The 12:30 reading of the verdict took forever, like 30 minutes! She seemed to be in agony. There really was not a shred of evidence, DNA or otherwise, to tie her or Sollecito to the crime and yet Guede's was everywhere! But heck, this is the same country trying a seismologist because he didn't predict an earthquake, LOL!

Heck yes recklessness on the road IS OUR BUSINESS. That's why it's PUBLIC RECORD, sheep. PUBLIC INTEREST IN KNOWING WHO IS TERRORIZING THE ROAD.

I've come to the conclusion that anyone who defends Kate's four tickets at this point, and we shouldn't exaggerate it because I only see it from a few sheeple, must not have ever lost someone in a car accident or ever had anyone hurt in a car accident.

Given that it's the second leading cause of death, they are very lucky. If it ever happens to them, they may change their tune.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

What really gets me? THEY CAUGHT THE GUY THAT DID IT! He's in jail 16 years! His DNA was all over the crime scene and hers wasn't. At that point they should have released Amanda and her boyfriend, said sorry we thought it was you, we now know it was this other guy, enjoy the rest of your trip. Instead they pushed and shoved and tried to squeeze them into this theory that made zero sense and was based on zero evidence.

What I also found out last night is this corrupt prosecutor who was indited for prior misconduct? Tried the same sex ritual theory on ANOTHER CASE! How many sex ritual murders are there really for him to recycle this bizarre theory?

By the end of this there were a good many Italians who were saying let this girl go, this is an embarrassment and an outrage, we are not this country.

Based on the evidence or lack of evidence I formed the opinion a long time ago she was innocent, however her statement the other day really sealed the deal for me. She said had I been home that night and not stayed over at my boyfriend's to watch a movie (oh by the way the stupid police f-ed up their harddrive and couldn't verify they were watching a movie), I would have been killed to by the intruder. I just don't think a killer would be able to step out of their shoes so drastically like that to say something like that. That is a statement from someone truly innocent who is thinking how an innocent person would think in this situation....as in OMG I could have been HOME!! I found that simple statement so real and compelling.

I hope Amanda can enjoy the rest of her 20's and go back to normal. They are saying she's not aware of how big the case is, her family has protected her from the publicity of it. I think she has an amazing story to tell but she should tell it, if she tells it, on her terms with people she trusts.

Kate - It might have been funnier if one had limped in and said "I've got pins and needles" and another answered "What are you going to sew?" or one could have said "My foot is asleep" and the other answered "Are you sleep walking?" Much funnier and more age appropriate than what you've got them saying.

I do drink the creamer though, but maybe 2 tablespoons. 1/3 cup? Yikes!

Dallas Lady said...

Those salad spritzers are terrible. Mostly corn syrup. She'd be better off making a nice vinagrette with oil and vinegar. A little goes a long way, no need for 20 sprays of it!

And if she doesn't want fat in her coffee, she should just have it with skim milk. Or she could try soy milk, the almond flavor is delicious (but not fat free).

I give a bunch to local horse owners but we still have scads. I peeled/cubed about 4 pounds, put in 1/3 cup brown sugar, 2 tsp cinammon and 1/4 cup water plus a little lemon juice and cooked it on high for 2+ hours. After you mash it up with a potato masher, it is wonderful!

If she ever gets into an accident due to her speeding, those past tickets will show she has a habit of excessive speeding.

I would let it go if it's a one-time offense, but the fact that she's gotten two tickets this year almost a month apart makes me believe she is a habitual speeder.

Kate says that she doesn't follow a certain diet or meal plan, but then goes on in her post detailing a typical [strict] diet. Then runs a few miles to burn off those calories. It's no surprise why she complains she is always exhausted. Her body is not receiving the proper nutrients. Not to mention, she also said she gets "ravenous constantly".

It worries me that some of her impressionable young followers might follow Kate's "diet" and exercise so they can look just like her.

LOL. That would be a great name for her website.

I think Kate is saying she doesn't follow any popular diet trend, like Atkins, South Beach,
Sugarbusters, Weight Watchers, etc.

But I sure hope she's taking a multivitamin that has iron. If she's PMSing, her body is still in need of iron. Meat and spinach would be very good sources.

I landed in the hospital for 2 1/2 weeks from extreme anemia because I ate like Kate eats.
While there, they discovered other problems that were exacerbated by the anemia. I'm still paying the price for eating stupid when I thought I was eating so smart.

Maybe somebody needs to tell this nurse that calories and not the only thing one needs to watch while following any eating protocol.

oops - "calories ARE not the only thing....."

I would imagine that one could tell Kate, but since she knows best, she's never going to listen to anything that anyone has to say. It would be time wasted to even try to tell her. Sad, isn't it? Reminds me of Karen Carpenter...

Several years ago I started eating similar to Kate. (minus the coffee and organic stuff) I counted calories and kept it between 1200-1500 a day. My hair started falling out. Not to the point of bald spots but much more than normal. Once I added in more lean protein/meat my hair quit falling out. I still lost weight and I didn't have to run or exercise. Lost 80 lbs.

I'm losing it - I read the above as "MEN and spinach"!

@ Warmth of the Sun,
I think they do sniff out "oh yes" over at the other blog, you're just not allowed to "call anyone out" over there.

Regarding the teachers seeing everything that happens with the kids at school, do PA teachers have any liability to report even suspected abuse? Here in Tx we as teachers are required to report any suspicion of child abuse or neglect and can be prosecuted if the child turns out to be abused and the teacher deliberately said nothing.

Hi Red. The glaring difference is that Karen Carpenter was the victim of a horrific mental illness that ravaged her brain and left her incapable of rational thought and unable to nourish herself.

While Kate clearly engages in disordered eating behaviors and displays signs of malnutrition (e.g., anger, unhealthy appearance), her not listening to anyone is a function of her ego and narcissism, and her misguided belief that she is always right.

The similarity, though, is that all of those around Karen, including her physician and her therapist who admitted her for treatment, tried to tell her, unsuccessfully, that her eating disorder would kill her, but she didn't listen. Whether it had to do with mental illness, or narcissism, the end result was the same.

Karen's mental illness was anorexia, a little known disease at the time. Do we know that Kate isn't suffering from some form of anorexia, or at least isn't headed into that direction?

Hey Red. Me again. Back in 1983 when Karen Carpenter died, there had been almost no studies done about Anorexia or Bulimia. Fortunately, in the last 15 to 20 years, there has been considerable research done on eating disorders, and study results have dispelled a lot of the myths, misconceptions and inaccuracies surrounding the diseases, including their causes and treatment methods. (Unfortunately, most of these misconceptions are still believed by the general population.) Like many diseases, current knowledge would have saved a lot of people in the past.

Karen's physicians, therapists, friends and family would not have known at the time that Karen's inability to sustain her life had nothing to do with her "not listening." There is a difference between not listening out of sheer stubbornness (Kate), and being incapable of listening because starvation exploited a biological flaw in the brain.

As I said previously, while Kate seems to suffer from disordered eating patterns, and I believe her to be malnourished, it is a far cry from her sinking into the throes of Anorexia. Anorexia is an extremely complicated mental and biological illness that strikes people who have a strong genetic predisposition to the disorder. Heredity loads the gun, but environmental factors pull the trigger.

I'm sorry to have gone on so long, but it is very important that people have accurate information about these disorders, Anorexia in particular. Sufferers do not choose to starve themselves to death on purpose because they don't want to listen to others tell them what to do.

Thanks for listening, and have a great day.

It is also often the case that anorexics feel they have lost control over everything in their lives and hold onto the one thing they can control -
what goes into their mouths.

Trying to gain control of aspects of one's life is definitely an element of the disease. Things usually start out innocently enough, most often in the teen years, with a person wanting to lose some weight, or an athlete trying to improve performance by misguidedly cutting out important fats from their diet and eating "healthy". There is almost always some kind of environmental trigger.

The sad irony is that the disease ends up controlling the sufferer. It then takes drastic medical and psychological intervention to help them wrest control away from the illness.

Contrary to popular belief, the vast majority of victims have not suffered any kind of physical or emotional abuse. They come from loving families, and tend to be perfectionists and overachievers by nature. They often have co-morbid conditions such as anxiety or OCD.

These elements combine with specific, identified genetic and biological components to form the perfect storm that is Anorexia.

Kate may not be at risk for the clinically diagnosed illness, but she most certainly is playing with fire with her health. She really needs to see a nutritionist to make sure she is getting the proper amounts of fats, proteins and carbohydrates every day.

Reading all this crap about her diet makes me wonder - why the hell doesn't Steve make her eat a more balanced diet? I mean we know she pretty much does whatever he tells her to do. Or maybe he just wants to keep her relatively thin and doesn't care much about the health consequences.

Cwgirlup75 said...

On the original topic, I had a thought about those pics last night. Sure some time now, many of us have thought that Steve is playing papparazzo and selling the pics to split the money with Kate. Xould he have been the bus stop photographer? Part of me thinks no way would he want to show her in such a negative light, but part of me thinks that neither one would care as long as it kept people talking about her. If thats true, they are sicker than I thought.
