According to Access Hollywood Live's Kit Hoover, the recently-single Tareq Salahi, formerly of Bravo's "Real Housewives of D.C.," has a crush on Kate Gosselin
"Tareq Salahi e-mailed me personally," Kit revealed on Thursday's show. "He wants to be set up with Kate Gosselin." Kit explained that Tareq is interested in the former TLC "Kate Plus 8" star, who appeared on Access Hollywood Live on Tuesday.
"He said, 'Is she really single?'" Kit recounted.
In his e-mail, Tareq wrote, "Set us up if she is."
And Kit had a promise for Tareq, who is currently embroiled in a divorce with estranged wife Michaele, who left him in a very public way for Journey's Neal Schon.

I don't know any other mom who has kids who can freely travel to state to state for whatever reason. Running, charity, vacation whatever. She is so nowhere near being a regular mom.
A regular mom gets kids up in the morning, runs back home because a kid forgot their lunch. Goes to ballet or baseball for her kids, sits through screechy clarinet lessons and tells the kid they did great. Does the laundry, the cooking, cooks dinner and makes the kids eat the vegetables.
This, this is not Kate and never will be Kate. She wanted kids for fame that's it. I'd like to know how she would seriously get through a whole month on her own. No maintenance, no bodyguard, no press, no TV interviews, a monthly budget. Bet you she'd crack, huh?
I just saw a picture of what can happen to a runner who: 1)eats salads or gas producing foods before a marathon, even earlier in the day, 2)doesn't use the power gels with caution, 3)drinks coffee before a race and/or 4)does not have a plan to prevent it.

I'm betting the night before or the morning of the race, she comes down with some "ailment" which will not only require her to pull out of the race, but will also require her to stay put (in LV hotel room) to rest and recover. Running a true marathon or even a half marathon takes hard work and dedication - and we've already seen how little of that she is capable of on DWTS.
So this Tareq guy saw the access Hollywood clip and found Kate attractive? Her face is so frozen she looks like a lizard or a stroke victim. Add 8 miserable kids and Kate's personality to the mix and what's not to love?

I'll be surprised if she doesn't start the race at least. There's no way she would listen to anyone who would advise her, so it doesn't seem very likely that she has a realistic idea of what she's getting into, so why wouldn't she just plow ahead?
I'm sure she believes she's OWED a marathon, because, you know, she's totally entitled. I doubt reality comes into her calculations at all.
Does she have a clue as to how difficult a race like this is for someone who hasn't trained properly? Or who isn't used to the altitude?
Probably none of this matters to her, though. The rules do not apply to Katie Kreider, queen of the golden platter.
The only real question is how she will pin the blame on Jon when she drops out.
Oh dear, if she's going by that time on her own Iphone, she won't likely be able to do a 4-hour run, especially at a different altitude/climate. Using her own pace recorded on that device, and giving her a little adjustment because I'm feeling generous, it'll be more than 4 and one half hours. That is still respectable, but a far cry from 4 hours. But she sets herself up for failure with her bragging all the time, so why should this be different? And who knows - she may pull it off. Time will tell. For those wondering about her training, yes, it's not uncommon to only do one very long run similar to the actual race, before the event. Before my first 1/2 marathon, I only did one 10 mile run, and only once, and did most of my training on a treadmill and I was more than ready to go on race day. However, I did follow training guidelines and hardly ran at all the week beforehand (counterintuitive to training mode) and Kate has already bragged she's done at least one 10-miler this week. That will actually probably harm her as her legs will be tired. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out.
Kate is in Sin City now running the streets and getting used to the altitude. She's not stupid. She is going to finish this marathon with a good time. She has to show her kids this is how you work hard and prove a point to your detractors. Screw working full time and having a strong work ethic. Better to have a boobyguard flit off to Vegas with her and accomplish another "ME" thing off the bucket list.

I don't think I've run more than about 30 seconds since high school. I love to exercise but I HATE THAT.
She just doesn't get twitter. When you're preparing for something exciting when you're doing something of mild interest that's the prefect time to tweet. She does just the opposite. When she is home and doing nothing and bored, she tweets up a storm. When she's actually doing anything out and about remotely interesting, her narcissism is being fed and she has no use for twitter.

If you are coming from a higher altitude then you will be at an advantage. If you are coming from a lower altitude then you can either choose to suck it up or arrive two weeks early and allow your body time to adjust. Most of the runners will just suck it up. I assume that the only ones who actually arrive two weeks early are the ones who have big money sponsors. The vegas run sounds more like a fun run and not useful for anyone qualifying for major events.
In competitive swimming, they sometimes give handicaps who are coming from a lower altitude. I dont know if the marathon will do that.
I think adjusting to altitude depends on the person really. And hasn't she been to LV before? Not sure or at least past through it at some point?
I know I didn't have climate change difficulties until I began to get a little older so it's probably one of those things that vary.
It's been a while since I've been to LV myself, so someone refresh my memory here please. This running is going to be downtown or somewhere else? I don't recall it being hilly, least not the part I visited.
I for one just hope she will dress appropriately like the rest of us do when we go for jogs/runs! You know sweats or shorts and a comfortable tv-shirt and broken-in sneakers! Don't think she's that dumb to buy new shoes the day of or before a run. I did that once...
Regarding the altitude, it's not a big deal. I live in San Francisco which is at sea level. When I ran Vegas I didn't feel a difference and was able to keep the pace I had been training at. I did try running in Denver once and I definitely felt it there, bit in Vegas it was a non issue.

I do wonder about this marathon. This is a woman who has never run a short race, or any competitive race, and now she's ready for a full marathon (at least she has a fresh bleach job). She has followed a nutritionally unsound diet during most of her so-called training period, and she has shown herself to be hugely uncomfortable in crowds. She cannot even navigate an airport by herself. Unless Steve is actually running next to her, I cannot even imagine her in a pack, a crowded pack of strangers. Has she ever even been to, or seen footage of a marathon? Boggles my mind.
Post by Heather: I am a runner and certainly not defending Kate, but it will not surprise me if she finishes and with a decent time. She runs pretty consistently and shouldn't have a problem. The climate change and altitude could cause her issues, but likely not enough to make a difference. But if her time is not very good, she will absolutely blame it on the conditions. That's my 2 cents - she will finish and have a decent time. Based on her times she's posted, I bet she's shooting for a 4 hour finish. Will be interesting to see how close she gets.
Like everyone else, I'm amazed that her fans can't see that the only time she tweets is when she's at home with her kids. When she's getting her narcissistic supply somewhere else, she goes silent. When she's at home with her kids, she is not getting her ego stroked so she turns to Twitter. When she's away from home, she's usually with Steve and the spotlight is on her and she forgets she even has Twitter.
I also don't see how her fans can't see that when there's photos of her with her kids out and about, she's never smiling. But if she's without them, she's as happy as a clam and smiling away. As a narcissist, she sees those kids as a burden and not a blessing. I can bet she resents them even more now that it's becoming obvious that the kids were the draw and not her since nobody is knocking themselves over to offer her a talk show gig or any other TV job.
I think Kate has a trainer and has been training for this marathon far longer than she is admitting. She wants people to think she is some super hero who jogs around her driveway and then miraculously pulls in this stunning finish time, seemingly out of nowhere. Her 'can do' attitude. It is all bullshit. She is training and has been for well over a year now.

Hah I called the Sahali fake dating show right after the Mrs left for the boy band. She stated somewhere in the last week that she would have company on her run because she had met a couple of great friends to run with. Meaning, in the last couple of weeks she met 2 people she never knew before, and is now referring to them as great friends. Most of us would have said we met a couple of people and would be running the race with them as partners. We would not be referring to them as friends already. Pretty loosy goosy definition of a friend.

Actually Kate did run a 5k race in Lancaster with Cara a few years ago but I'm like you, I just don't think she has trained professionally enough for this marathon. Mea culpa - I had forgotten about that 5K, grateful my memory does not remember all things Gosselin. Still, think the 1/2 marathon would have been a better idea. And the sweating crowds, that's the image I don't see given her glacial, stand-offish persona.
The 5K was May 1, 2010. ROL reported that she came in near the back of the pack, but also said that she stopped frequently to let Cara catch up. I don't know if that is from an eyewitness or not.

My sister is a marathoner and half-marathoner, I'm her wing-man. In September 2011 she did the DisneyRun 1/2 marathon in Disneyland. Before the race starts you get out of bed at 2:30AM to get to the corral (holding pen) for the 6:00AM start. When the runner and families/friends arrive there is a milling around place. There is music and an announcer to keep the runners energized. At the DisneyRun Drew Carey, the actor/comic, was there. He was reluctant to be the center of attention because as he put it "its not about me, its about the runners". And he's right. These are people who share a common goal, to finish the race. My point is a true runner whose a celebrity only care about the run, not the attention. In Kate's case she only cares about the attention, not the run.

He thinks a good trainer or two, hair, make up etc and get this, relaxation, caused the change in Kate's face. Bush, who works in LA LA land should know a freshened up face when he sees one, so how he thinks that wrinkles just go away when you move up a tax bracket or two is beyond me.
Kate's friend, who lives in Michigan, was once reported to be a personal trainer. Perhaps not a running coach, but would likley to be available to Kate for info and advice.

If Kate cannot make it... she will walk or take the bus back. I read that the course closes in 4:30. That is too early for a first time marathoner, but this is suppose to be a flat course. I am sure nothing will happen to her. I have run marathons where I have gotten sick on the course, and still survived.
I'm also on Team Kate Has A Secret Trainer. I've been suspicious for a while, but her 2 new "friends" who suddenly appeared in time to run with her clinched it for me. Does she have any friends who are not paid? I think she's been working with them for a while but will never acknowledge it, just like the not-a-nannies. We only have her word that she has been eating inappropriately and you all know what that's worth. I'm guessing it's all part of her plan to astound everyone with her determination and tenacity, I'm sorry some innocents will try to follow her inane "running plan" and be baa-aa-aadly injured.
There were rumblings of her taking dance lessons between the hints on Leno and the announcement of her inclusion in DWTS and I believe them to be true. I think she has a fear of looking foolish and will go to any extreme to avoid it, but her narcissism prevents her from seeing that she constantly sabotages her own goal.
The problem with the secret trainer theory if that it endows Kate with intelligence that she doesn't possess. Not only would she have to be secretly training, but she would have had to think up a bunch of lies to tweet to throw us all off track. She's just not that smart. The temps here in the SW have been much lower than normal. I live about 6 hours from Vegas, and it's been raining and in the 50's today with freeze warnings over the next few days.
Sunday in Vegas is forecasted to be a high of 54 and a low of 32 (colder than Philadelphia's forecast). The altitude and dry air in Vegas will be an issue for the runners coming from humid climates at sea level.
I'm very curious to see if she finishes. My guess is yes...she will do anything to prove her detractors wrong. I think she will finish on pure willpower alone.

Julianna -- The sad thing is that most of the time, when Kate was ridiculing and correcting Jon's grammar, he was correct and she was dead wrong! He knew it too, but also knew it was worth his life to argue with her about it.
Admin -- It isn't fair that Kate get the kids for Christmas this year, even though Jon had them for Thanksgiving, because she had them for both Thanksgiving and Christmas last year, then took them out of the coutry, with the court's blessing, when he was supposed to have them for New Year.
Anybody remember Table for Twelve, Hayes Family, 2 sets of twins and 1 of sextuplets, one with cerebral palsey. No household help, except for G'ma who stopped by school mornings to get them off to school. No yelling, screaming, nastiness. They went on a mini-vacation with minimal fuss, and no extra help. It was a marathon of old shows, and I was in and out of the house where it was on so saw pieces of a few shows. I guess there wasn't enough drama there to remain on TV. But if this was the learning channel, it was a program worthy of the network name.
Table for 12 was billed as the anti J&K+8. I loved watching the family. There was once or twice when the parents got stressed but they did their best to not take it out on the kids. The show got taken off the air when K+8 started up. I think TLC knew that it would be bad news for Kate if the Hayes were on the air at the same time. People would have more of a comparison between the two families. They would have been able to see what a healthy family relationship looks like and what an unhealthy family relationship looks like. At this point, I think that TLC thought that it owed Kate something.
Knowing what I know now, I am happy that they are off the air. The family got to do some fun things because of the show but I worry what might have happened if they were still on the air. It would be nice to have an update. I would love to know how Rebecca (the one with CP) is doing.

Jon had them this Thanksgiving; her family dinner with the kids was on Friday. I believe that she was alone on Thanksgiving. If she has them on Christmas, then the even/odd years rule doesn't apply.
Knowing Kate she will probably make a big fuss via Twitter about how she did "their" normal Christmas. All I see it as is a cheap holiday where she buys the kids affections. Maybe I'm being a bit harsh but so what?

You know, a lot of large families, who are actually faced with a real budget? You know what I heard some of them do? You each draw a name and then for Christmas you have to give that person something you don't use anymore or make them something from home. What a concept huh?
Kate should try it if she is so broke. I mean no disrespect to those who actually do it as a gesture of family goodness and all, but for Kate, nah. I had a friend last year who did homemade stuff and her kids complained until she said, "You can either be grateful or go give it to kids who would be grateful to have such nice things." I wonder if Kate's kids even really know their are families out there who are less fortunate then them? So they aren't on TV anymore, they aren't starving, they aren't without heat, running water, they have food in the fridge, clothes.

What is meant by Christmas? Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, both? I can see a parent playing with semantics. It's not a lie to say you are getting them on Christmas if you get them returned to you at 8 p.m. Christmas Day after the other parent had them all day for the festivities. Or, if you consider Christmas Eve "Christmas", then in your mind it's not a lie to say they were with you on Christmas (before you dropped them off to the other parent for church, putting out stockings and milk and cookies, etc.)
Anyway whatever whatever, I've come to believe we can't trust what anyone is saying about who has the kids when what where how, I'm just hoping for the best for those kids that they see as much of both parents as possible on all holidays, though fearing the worse what with the way this custody mess is STILL being drudged up by her two years later.
Just took the doggie out for last call, pretty cold, down to the low 40's maybe hitting the 30's tonight. Nothing compared to winter weather back East but chilly for weather out here. It has been CHILLY out here in the Southwest and windy. A myth about weather out here, you can't count on a nice toasty warm winter. This is a desert, when the sun falls, especially in winter, it gets COLD. It will be cold for the marathon.
I've run for the past twenty years for fitness. I have done 5ks but never wanted to do a marathon. I have always been afraid as I know there are risks involved. One thing I do know is that I would rather run in 30 degree weather, not 70 degree weather. It is much more comfortable to run when it is chilly and this is true for most runners.
The acces holiwood interview was a pathetic move on Kate's part,she's obviously obsessed with Jon(which is creepy).The kids may see the interview one they and they are not going to be thrilled that mommy hates daddy so much. The jogging thing is in no way exploiting the kids ,on the other hands and it really seems to me like an excuse to pick on Kate.Sorry it's just what I think and I am not looking to stir trouble I am just expressing my opinion. There are some things like how Kate dresses or Kate's jogging or even Kate's presumed relation with Steve that wouldn't be this criticized if this weren't Kate Gosselin. And another thing that occured to me: yes the kids will be hurt when they'll see all those interviews that mommy gave,hating on daddy, but do you really think they won't be equally hurt by the nasty things that we said about their mommy(whom they love no matter what since she is their mother) here and elsewhere? I am sick of all the breathless excitement about the marathon. History tends to repeat itself (DTWS, the building) all the other little life lessons BS. I predict she has no intention of finishing and her exit strategy is already in place.
Who would run 26 miles in 4-1/2 hours if they don't have the energy to even strike a decent pose with a world class dance instructor, a true once in a lifetime opportunity.

I have to agree with some other posters that Kate does have trainers (her two new friends). She has stated multiple times that she does "not" have a trainer and doing it all on her own. In Kate speak, if she is typing, she is lying. If she were to own up to it, that means she needed help and can't play up the "poor me….I'm doing it all on my own." Second, the unemployed mom of 8 (yes, count them “8”!) would be spending the kids money for the training. I’m still trying to figure out why her first race would be a full marathon. She said she signed up for the ½ marathon but changed and is running the full marathon after it was already sold out. I’m wondering if this will be her excuse…..there was some clerical mix up and she was unable to run the full marathon. Well, let’s wait and see how this plays out.

About the holidays and visitation: When I was divorcing with 4 count em 4 kids, the youngest of whom was only a year old, I had it put into our agreement that he was to have them every Christmas Eve, to be returned to me no later than 10:00PM. And I was to have them every Christmas Day. I did this because my mother in law set a great deal of importance on Xmas EVE, it was her traditional family celebration her whole life, church, opening all gifts, family gathering, massive food, etc. Most years, although not always, I took them back to their grandmother's again on the night of the 25th, so they could have a sleep over and do a little more celebrating with her. Did I mention my ex lived with his mother?
Sure it was sad for me often. I just about never had a Xmas Eve with my kids. The hardest was Xmas Day night, not having them home to see them play with their gifts and share in all of their excitement. But in divorce there is a lot of sacrifice and it shouldnt be the children that bear it; the arrangement meant I had EVERY Christmas morning and all day long, my kids got to have consistancy year after year and develop their own traditions, and their grandmother got her only grandchildren every Xmas Eve without fail. And my ex couldnt argue with THAT.
I could not bear the thought of waking up on Christmas morning to an empty house. My kids are mostly all in their 30's now and I STILL dont like it.

According to Access Hollywood Live's Kit Hoover, the recently-single Tareq Salahi, formerly of Bravo's "Real Housewives of D.C.," has a crush on Kate Gosselin

I don't know any other mom who has kids who can freely travel to state to state for whatever reason. Running, charity, vacation whatever. She is so nowhere near being a regular mom.
A regular mom gets kids up in the morning, runs back home because a kid forgot their lunch. Goes to ballet or baseball for her kids, sits through screechy clarinet lessons and tells the kid they did great. Does the laundry, the cooking, cooks dinner and makes the kids eat the vegetables.
This, this is not Kate and never will be Kate. She wanted kids for fame that's it. I'd like to know how she would seriously get through a whole month on her own. No maintenance, no bodyguard, no press, no TV interviews, a monthly budget. Bet you she'd crack, huh?

I'll be surprised if she doesn't start the race at least. There's no way she would listen to anyone who would advise her, so it doesn't seem very likely that she has a realistic idea of what she's getting into, so why wouldn't she just plow ahead?
I'm sure she believes she's OWED a marathon, because, you know, she's totally entitled. I doubt reality comes into her calculations at all.

Oh dear, if she's going by that time on her own Iphone, she won't likely be able to do a 4-hour run, especially at a different altitude/climate. Using her own pace recorded on that device, and giving her a little adjustment because I'm feeling generous, it'll be more than 4 and one half hours. That is still respectable, but a far cry from 4 hours. But she sets herself up for failure with her bragging all the time, so why should this be different? And who knows - she may pull it off. Time will tell. For those wondering about her training, yes, it's not uncommon to only do one very long run similar to the actual race, before the event. Before my first 1/2 marathon, I only did one 10 mile run, and only once, and did most of my training on a treadmill and I was more than ready to go on race day. However, I did follow training guidelines and hardly ran at all the week beforehand (counterintuitive to training mode) and Kate has already bragged she's done at least one 10-miler this week. That will actually probably harm her as her legs will be tired. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out.
Kate is in Sin City now running the streets and getting used to the altitude. She's not stupid. She is going to finish this marathon with a good time. She has to show her kids this is how you work hard and prove a point to your detractors. Screw working full time and having a strong work ethic. Better to have a boobyguard flit off to Vegas with her and accomplish another "ME" thing off the bucket list.

She just doesn't get twitter. When you're preparing for something exciting when you're doing something of mild interest that's the prefect time to tweet. She does just the opposite. My friend who swims competitively said it takes about two weeks to for your body to fully adjust to the Altitude. If you are coming from a higher altitude then you will be at an advantage. If you are coming from a lower altitude then you can either choose to suck it up or arrive two weeks early and allow your body time to adjust. Most of the runners will just suck it up. I assume that the only ones who actually arrive two weeks early are the ones who have big money sponsors. The vegas run sounds more like a fun run and not useful for anyone qualifying for major events.
In competitive swimming, they sometimes give handicaps who are coming from a lower altitude. I dont know if the marathon will do that.
I think adjusting to altitude depends on the person really. And hasn't she been to LV before? Not sure or at least past through it at some point?
I know I didn't have climate change difficulties until I began to get a little older so it's probably one of those things that vary.
It's been a while since I've been to LV myself, so someone refresh my memory here please. This running is going to be downtown or somewhere else? I don't recall it being hilly, least not the part I visited.
I for one just hope she will dress appropriately like the rest of us do when we go for jogs/runs! You know sweats or shorts and a comfortable tv-shirt and broken-in sneakers! Don't think she's that dumb to buy new shoes the day of or before a run. I did that once...
Regarding the altitude, it's not a big deal. I live in San Francisco which is at sea level. When I ran Vegas I didn't feel a difference and was able to keep the pace I had been training at. I did try running in Denver once and I definitely felt it there, bit in Vegas it was a non issue.

I do wonder about this marathon. This is a woman who has never run a short race, or any competitive race, and now she's ready for a full marathon (at least she has a fresh bleach job). She has followed a nutritionally unsound diet during most of her so-called training period, and she has shown herself to be hugely uncomfortable in crowds. She cannot even navigate an airport by herself. Unless Steve is actually running next to her, I cannot even imagine her in a pack, a crowded pack of strangers. Has she ever even been to, or seen footage of a marathon? Boggles my mind.
Remember Kate doesn't announce her self in crowdations. So why is she running with lots of peolpe in a marathon?..

I am a runner and certainly not defending Kate, but it will not surprise me if she finishes and with a decent time. She runs pretty consistently and shouldn't have a problem. The climate change and altitude could cause her issues, but likely not enough to make a difference. But if her time is not very good, she will absolutely blame it on the conditions. That's my 2 cents - she will finish and have a decent time. Based on her times she's posted, I bet she's shooting for a 4 hour finish. Will be interesting to see how close she gets.

Hah I called the Sahali fake dating show right after the Mrs left for the boy band. She stated somewhere in the last week that she would have company on her run because she had met a couple of great friends to run with. Meaning, in the last couple of weeks she met 2 people she never knew before, and is now referring to them as great friends. Most of us would have said we met a couple of people and would be running the race with them as partners. We would not be referring to them as friends already. Pretty loosy goosy definition of a friend.

Actually Kate did run a 5k race in Lancaster with Cara a few years ago but I'm like you, I just don't think she has trained professionally enough for this marathon. The 5K was May 1, 2010. ROL reported that she came in near the back of the pack, but also said that she stopped frequently to let Cara catch up. I don't know if that is from an eyewitness or not.
I agree with mamma mia.I think Kate has been training with a personal trainer all along.We all know Kate lies,or stretches the truth as long as that 20 mile marathon.She will never admit to having help from a personal trainer,it doesn't fit into her poor,struggling, single mother of eight persona.
My sister is a marathoner and half-marathoner, I'm her wing-man. In September 2011 she did the DisneyRun 1/2 marathon in Disneyland. Before the race starts you get out of bed at 2:30AM to get to the corral (holding pen) for the 6:00AM start. When the runner and families/friends arrive there is a milling around place. There is music and an announcer to keep the runners energized. At the DisneyRun Drew Carey, the actor/comic, was there. He was reluctant to be the center of attention because as he put it "its not about me, its about the runners". And he's right. These are people who share a common goal, to finish the race. My point is a true runner whose a celebrity only care about the run, not the attention. In Kate's case she only cares about the attention, not the run.

Billy Bush implied that there was nothing "done" to her face. He thinks a good trainer or two, hair, make up etc and get this, relaxation, caused the change in Kate's face.
Bush, who works in LA LA land should know a freshened up face when he sees one, so how he thinks that wrinkles just go away when you move up a tax bracket or two is beyond me.

If Kate cannot make it... she will walk or take the bus back. I read that the course closes in 4:30. That is too early for a first time marathoner, but this is suppose to be a flat course. I am sure nothing will happen to her. I have run marathons where I have gotten sick on the course, and still survived.
I'm also on Team Kate Has A Secret Trainer. I've been suspicious for a while, but her 2 new "friends" who suddenly appeared in time to run with her clinched it for me. Does she have any friends who are not paid? I think she's been working with them for a while but will never acknowledge it, just like the not-a-nannies. We only have her word that she has been eating inappropriately and you all know what that's worth. The problem with the secret trainer theory if that it endows Kate with intelligence that she doesn't possess. Not only would she have to be secretly training, but she would have had to think up a bunch of lies to tweet to throw us all off track. She's just not that smart. The temps here in the SW have been much lower than normal. I live about 6 hours from Vegas, and it's been raining and in the 50's today with freeze warnings over the next few days.
Sunday in Vegas is forecasted to be a high of 54 and a low of 32 (colder than Philadelphia's forecast). The altitude and dry air in Vegas will be an issue for the runners coming from humid climates at sea level.

I find it so ironic that Kate hauled Jon to court for Twittering about the very same thing with custody that she is getting awawy with. I don't get it either. Most of my teenage college freshmen have more maturity in their little fingers than these adult mothers and wives (both sheeple and haters) have in their entire bodies.

Julianna -- The sad thing is that most of the time, when Kate was ridiculing and correcting Jon's grammar, he was correct and she was dead wrong! He knew it too, but also knew it was worth his life to argue with her about it.

Anybody remember Table for Twelve, Hayes Family, 2 sets of twins and 1 of sextuplets, one with cerebral palsey. No household help, except for G'ma who stopped by school mornings to get them off to school. No yelling, screaming, nastiness. They went on a mini-vacation with minimal fuss, and no extra help. It was a marathon of old shows, and I was in and out of the house where it was on so saw pieces of a few shows. I guess there wasn't enough drama there to remain on TV. But if this was the learning channel, it was a program worthy of the network name.
Border Collie #75 - I REALLY liked the Hayes family. They seemed completely genuine and loving. I hope they're doing well.

Table for 12 was billed as the anti J&K+8. I loved watching the family. There was once or twice when the parents got stressed but they did their best to not take it out on the kids. The show got taken off the air when K+8 started up. I think TLC knew that it would be bad news for Kate if the Hayes were on the air at the same time. People would have more of a comparison between the two families. They would have been able to see what a healthy family relationship looks like and what an unhealthy family relationship looks like. At this point, I think that TLC thought that it owed Kate something.
Knowing what I know now, I am happy that they are off the air. The family got to do some fun things because of the show but I worry what might have happened if they were still on the air. It would be nice to have an update. I would love to know how Rebecca (the one with CP) is doing.

Jon had them this Thanksgiving; her family dinner with the kids was on Friday. I believe that she was alone on Thanksgiving. If she has them on Christmas, then the even/odd years rule doesn't apply.

What is meant by Christmas? Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, both? I can see a parent playing with semantics. It's not a lie to say you are getting them on Christmas if you get them returned to you at 8 p.m. Christmas Day after the other parent had them all day for the festivities. Or, if you consider Christmas Eve "Christmas", then in your mind it's not a lie to say they were with you on Christmas (before you dropped them off to the other parent for church, putting out stockings and milk and cookies, etc.)
Anyway whatever whatever, I've come to believe we can't trust what anyone is saying about who has the kids when what where how, I'm just hoping for the best for those kids that they see as much of both parents as possible on all holidays, though fearing the worse what with the way this custody mess is STILL being drudged up by her two years later.
Just took the doggie out for last call, pretty cold, down to the low 40's maybe hitting the 30's tonight. Nothing compared to winter weather back East but chilly for weather out here. It has been CHILLY out here in the Southwest and windy. A myth about weather out here, you can't count on a nice toasty warm winter. This is a desert, when the sun falls, especially in winter, it gets COLD. It will be cold for the marathon.

I've run for the past twenty years for fitness. I have done 5ks but never wanted to do a marathon. I have always been afraid as I know there are risks involved. One thing I do know is that I would rather run in 30 degree weather, not 70 degree weather. It is much more comfortable to run when it is chilly and this is true for most runners.
The acces holiwood interview was a pathetic move on Kate's part,she's obviously obsessed with Jon(which is creepy).The kids may see the interview one they and they are not going to be thrilled that mommy hates daddy so much.
The jogging thing is in no way exploiting the kids ,on the other hands and it really seems to me like an excuse to pick on Kate.Sorry it's just what I think and I am not looking to stir trouble I am just expressing my opinion. There are some things like how Kate dresses or Kate's jogging or even Kate's presumed relation with Steve that wouldn't be this criticized if this weren't Kate Gosselin.
And another thing that occured to me: yes the kids will be hurt when they'll see all those interviews that mommy gave,hating on daddy, but do you really think they won't be equally hurt by the nasty things that we said about their mommy(whom they love no matter what since she is their mother) here and elsewhere? True or not, are they really going to be thrilled no matter how good our intentions were? Who would run 26 miles in 4-1/2 hours if they don't have the energy to even strike a decent pose with a world class dance instructor, a true once in a lifetime opportunity.

I have to agree with some other posters that Kate does have trainers (her two new friends). She has stated multiple times that she does "not" have a trainer and doing it all on her own. In Kate speak, if she is typing, she is lying. If she were to own up to it, that means she needed help and can't play up the "poor me….I'm doing it all on my own." Second, the unemployed mom of 8 (yes, count them “8”!) would be spending the kids money for the training. I’m still trying to figure out why her first race would be a full marathon. She said she signed up for the ½ marathon but changed and is running the full marathon after it was already sold out. I’m wondering if this will be her excuse…..there was some clerical mix up and she was unable to run the full marathon. Well, let’s wait and see how this plays out.

Learning disability? Sounds like a lifelong, defensive reaction to deflect attention away from the fact that she can't mentally keep up. A narcissist with a learning disability - that actually explains a great deal about Katie Irene if you think about it. A GREAT deal.

About the holidays and visitation: When I was divorcing with 4 count em 4 kids, the youngest of whom was only a year old, I had it put into our agreement that he was to have them every Christmas Eve, to be returned to me no later than 10:00PM. And I was to have them every Christmas Day. I did this because my mother in law set a great deal of importance on Xmas EVE, it was her traditional family celebration her whole life, church, opening all gifts, family gathering, massive food, etc. Most years, although not always, I took them back to their grandmother's again on the night of the 25th, so they could have a sleep over and do a little more celebrating with her. Did I mention my ex lived with his mother?
Sure it was sad for me often. I just about never had a Xmas Eve with my kids. The hardest was Xmas Day night, not having them home to see them play with their gifts and share in all of their excitement. But in divorce there is a lot of sacrifice and it shouldnt be the children that bear it; the arrangement meant I had EVERY Christmas morning and all day long, my kids got to have consistancy year after year and develop their own traditions, and their grandmother got her only grandchildren every Xmas Eve without fail. And my ex couldnt argue with THAT.
I could not bear the thought of waking up on Christmas morning to an empty house. My kids are mostly all in their 30's now and I STILL dont like it.
