I can see Kate signing a permission form for this and not really reading it. Maybe she'd be OK with it if she knew the school was doing it and not some random person.

You know she didn't attend the concert? How do you know that?
I don't know if this has been mentioned, but most schools, public and private, include a form that parents can sign, or not, that gives permission for the school to use their children's images (pictures, video, etc.).
Kate probably signed the form and didn't think about it until these videos came to light.
Yes, I'm sure the school will be hearing from her. Frankly, it's only becoming a big deal because people are making a big deal of it. Had her fan not mentioned anything, it probably would have flown under the radar, just as it should have. But now, because the Gosselin children are in the video, will it go viral? I hope not. The children deserve some privacy and to be able to have a moment that is/was shared not with the rest of the nation but with just their family and friends. Like the rest of their classmates.
I know it's tempting and people are going to do what they're going to do, but I would respectfully ask you to not go searching for these school concert videos. Please honor the eight Gosselin children by helping to give these moments back to them, their classmates and the families of their school. “It is your programming that has created your choices in the past. It is the choices you make today that are creating the programs of your future.”
As for whether the school should have posted it on Vimeo or YouTube, I don't know. I have to agree with Admin,the school could have set up the videos on a site that was password protected. If grandma/grandpa/aunt/uncle/etc. want to see it, just give them the password to login. Have it up for a month for free viewing and then sell a dvd of the concerts to help raise money for the music program.

Especially nowadays with school districts and schools operating their own websites and/or facebook pages. Many parents are protective of their kids and their kids' privacy with the rise in cyber-bullying and online pedophiles.
At the local schools I've worked at, media consent is an opt-out (not opt-in) option that parents must check the box when filling out the school's student information card (given at the beginning of each school year). It is not a separate form with large or bold headings, so it is possible to miss for some parents who don't read the entire form very carefully. As long as the box isn't check-marked, then the school and classroom teacher have parental consent to use the student's work or images on their webpages or post online.

It's my understanding that the Sound of Music was a spring program and the tups program was the current one.
Maybe Khate was upset that her twitter fanatic wrote that the video was on YouTube, not the school site. Being on YouTube would likely constitute some infringement of school property.
It's my opinion that Khate likely attended the program this morning, but she tweeted she would be attending it in the PM to either throw stalkers/followers/everyone off... or she can't keep from her pathological lying... or she's just an @ss.

I vaguely recall during season one of Raising Sextuplets, where a therapist came to observe or work with their sextuplets because she [Jenny Masche] was concerned about developmental delays due to being high-order multiples.
It wouldn't surprise me if HOM are more susceptible to developmental delays, with the number of babies inside the same crowded womb. The McCaughey septuplets and the Hayes sextuplets have a HOM with cerebral palsy. Another HOM reality family, the Harris sextuplets, have a HOM with autism (they were featured on the old Discovery Health, I think).
Kate is very lucky her kids are healthy, as far as we know. If any of the Gosselin sextuplets have any developmental delays, who knows if it's nature or nurture or a combination of both. As a nurse, I would assume that Kate would notice if something is wrong and seek intervention as soon as possible...like many medical professionals I know who have kids. Then again, this is Kate who was too busy filming her kids for their reality show instead of properly nurturing them.

This video was for Grandparents Day. This year it fell on Sunday, Sept. 11. Kate left that weekend for a whirlwind media tour: radio shows, Today Show, Wendy Williams, Access Hollywood & E-online. The week prior to this weekend, Kate was tweetering like a mad woman defending herself about the RV trip. Remember Ashley left and both Ashley & Jamie rightfully fought with Kate during this trip. Kate was twittering away like crazy that week about stupid pizza wars with Steve. And she was buzy trying to find someone to put together an half-ass incomplete website at the last moment to be announced on the Today Show. People magazine with her family on the cover came out that weekend.
Well, in viewing the above video, it is very clear that ALL 6 of the Gosselins kids did not know the song and motions. Yes, Collin and Joel more so than the others, but I got the feeling that their classmates may have shown the girls the routine THAT day and that may be why they didn't struggle as much as the boys. Aaden just turned his body & mimicked his classmate the whole time.
The important point is their mother, Kate, was so, so, self absorbed with herself that she didn't bother teaching the song and motions to her 6 kids. IT WAS NOT THE FAULT OF THE CHILDREN AT ALL. All the kids were more than capable of learning it. Of course, they could have done the simple movements IF THEIR SELFISH MOTHER WOULD HAVE BOTHERED TO TEACH AND SPEND TIME WITH THEM. Yes, I am pissed.
This is a fantastic example of Kate's very poor, neglectful mothering skills. The prior week and the weekend of 9/11 was 100% Kate Gosselin--the "stah". Her children had to stand on stage with their peers and sing and motion to a song they did not know in front of an audience. By the way, who, if anyone, was in the audience for them? Kate was in New York city.
Think about it. Her kids had a performance to learn and they didn't learn it because of their mother's total lack of concern. Kate's focus was totally on promoting herself: website, twittering, People magazine cover, New York media tour.
This has me more upset than probably anything she has ever done. It is a prime example that she puts herself first and if she even bothers to think about it--her kids. All her preparation was on herself--not her 6 kids. Shame on her. Again, her kids are smart, witty, intelligent and capable. Kate is NOT capable of being a decent mother. It's Kate's fault not the children's.

I looked around and I think the school had a "Grandparents Day" on Tuesday, 11/22, the last day before Thanksgiving break.
In any event, we know that for a good two weeks before a school concert, schools usually sends home the lyrics and asks the parents to practice a few minutes a day with the kids. Well, Khate was away a great deal in November before that concert. As far as the concert this morning, she was away all last week, and part of this week, leading right up to this morning's concert.
Btw, we really need to do that calendar thing. I'd love to go back to September 1st and see just how much she was away.
I looked around Twitter and the Sarah fan is the one who said she saw a YouTube video, then Paige went nuts, had to see it, and they both went looking for it. They had tons of tweets back and forth about it and finally found the links. I'm shocked Paige didn't find them earlier. Paige was all excited, going crazy over them. You would think watching hundreds of episodes again and again would be enough for that girl.
As a parent, I'm not crazy about the school having a Facebook site and loading all these videos on there. I looked, and it's a lot. I'm of the opinion that any and all photos of any kids should be password protected. Admin, although you mentioned that even public schools do that, I can tell you from experience that public schools are far more apt to be on lock down. That's simply due to the fact that the private schools often like to have as much out there as possible because it's a marketing tool. Believe me, I've run into it all, and it was a very big consideration in choosing a school for my children. It's sad that things have to be that way today, because it really is nice as a parent looking at different schools to be able to see as much as possible online. But then again, as a parent of students, I just don't like anything with my kids on the internet, so I vote for password protected in all cases.
What's funny is if Khate intends to complain to the school, as I am sure she will, she will look rather silly. She is someone who has never given her kids an ounce of privacy, and gladly showed the world things most of us would never even dream of airing on television. She has put hundreds of hours of her kids on television, intimate and private moments in their own home, including video of them half dressed getting changed, going potty, etc., even just vacation type episodes that were mostly done in the last two years. Also, there's tons of stuff on YouTube and she is well aware of that. So, to go and complain about fairly benign videos of the kids singing with their classmates, looks ridiculous to me. But, I'm sure she will do it. I'm also sure the school must have some sort of internet photo/video policy and forms completed at the beginning of each year.
One other thing that I saw on Twitter tonight, in looking back on some of today's tweets - Khate thanked Sarah for her package (gifts) and then Paige asked if Khate received her package, to which Khate replied yes. Then, another sheeple asked for Khate's address because she wanted to send Khate and the kids Christmas gifts:

I cannot believe she keeps accepting gifts from these sheeple, and teens! She is so tacky and selfish! Would it really kill her to tweet a thank you so much, that is so thoughtful, but it really is not necessary. Or tell them if they really want to do something, please make a donation to a needy family this holiday season. Sheesh, even Starbucks has Toys for Tots baskets in their stores. Tell them to buy a kid toy and drop it off there!
Don't forget, there are probably a couple of dozen sheeple who already have Khate's mailing address back from when they all started sending her books to sign (and gifts), a few months ago. So, they can just send Christmas gifts on their own now, without asking. I'm sure she is raking it in. I bet Khate takes some of the gifts for the kids and gives them to the kids for Christmas, as if they were from her.

(First, I have to say how I love how all the sheeple say "congrads" not "congrats")
That marathon (and half marathon) was on Sunday, June 5th. If Khate was preparing for and planning on running her first marathon in San Diego last June, doesn't that help confirm that TLC probably set this all up for her? She was still under contract with them at that time, and it might have been just an idea for another episode.
For some reason, Khate wasn't able to do it in June - what was she doing around that week? Or, maybe TLC just decided not to use it for an episode anymore, so they canceled it. But, maybe Khate and her manager were simply able to act on the connections that TLC had already set up for her and get her registered for the Las Vegas marathon.
That also tells us that it's very likely that the ONLY reason that Competitor Group wanted her there as a VIP guest was because TLC was going to film it for the show. Time will tell, but I find it hard to believe that they would pay her airfare, and hotel, (and Steve's), and comp her registration fee, and give her VIP treatment in Madrid next spring just to get a limited amount of press back here for a couple of days.
Khate's really a crazy witch, though. For someone who just started running marathons, going all the way to Spain for her second marathon is just ridiculous. If she was away a week for Vegas, she'll probably be gone 10 days or more for the Madrid marathon. There's also the time difference and jet lag to factor in. Hell, I hope she does go, because like I said last weekend, it's come to the point where I think the kids are better off and that house is a much happier place when she's not there and the sitter is.

I totally agree. My kids' school has a pretty clear poilicy on this too. If you sign "yes" then she has no legal recourse. Kate is prob so upset about this because she is not getting paid for the pics being public.

Seems to me the only way the videos could be found is if someone went looking for them, in this case, KT's tweeties and they outed them on her twitter. If you accept gifts from strangers for your kids on twitter, why would you be upset that those same people would seek out and find benign group videos of your children singing at a school event. Some of them admittedly have hundreds if not thousands of pics and videos and have put together clips to music and put them on You Tube expressing their love and she gives them her address?
Kate not liking to shop in crowds has nothing to do with claustrophobia or any such thing, she is just 'entitled' to shop in stores closed to others so she can shop in peace. She has perfected her 'air of entitlement' and passed it along quite nicely to her kids whose first questions about not filming were 'when are we going on another plane, when are we going somewhere?'
Whether she went to the concert or not isn't the important thing. What is would be for her to compliment her kids on a job well done. However, we call know she is unable to recognize the need to acknowledge anything but HER deeds. And it was my thought also, WHY was The Sound of Music concert brought up? It is listed with a date which is not current.

This wasn't the first time videos of her kids from school have been posted online. Perhaps if she'd read all of the information that the school sends home with the kids and the admission packet for parents she would have already known about the website and the different videos that are posted. The school posts them for parents/families and it's a shame that Kate has obviously never had a need to ever avail herself of them to share with friends or family before or to have even watched with the kids herself. This is nothing more than a crystal clear example of how UNinvolved she is with her kids' school and their activities there.

FOCL!!! I have visions of Steve heading out to Youtube corporate offices in Calif, shuffling into the building, wrapping his ratclaws around the arm of the receptionist, and demanding that she delete the clips off the site. Of course on the other hand, those clips involve the kids and that is not really his job. His job is all about Kate.
Maybe Katie could send in her 'Security Team', SWAT-style, to Youtube Corporate. Not to get the clips deleted, but to get a sack of cash to reimburse Kate as the legal owner of those 8 little ATMs. By Saturday night, she will be drunk and twittering again and claiming that Jon got the clips posted and he got paid for it and that she and HER kids are soley responsible for Youtube profit margins. Then the week of Christmas she will be doing a media tour to set the record straight about how many millions of dollars Youtube owes her. When I went to school we learned and practiced our special "shows" at school. My parents saw it for the first time on performance day/night. It was never something I practiced at home. From reading some posts, it seems that these days it's up to the parents to prepare their students for these shows. Or maybe it just depends on the school?
From my perspective, children's school performances are always all over the map performance wise. Whenever I've seen a children's show there are some singing loud, some not moving their mouths at all, some turning around. It's all good. They are not professionals, just children. Heck, you even see some of these on America's Funniest Videos.
I would hope all the children's parents (G8's and others) would just be proud of their children and enjoy the show.
Still sad that some feel the need to critique the G8's school performances.

You know speaking of cute performances, we have video from when I was a kid when my grade put on a Three Little Pigs play, which had several songs in it. It was actually really fantastic, we had some fantastic music teachers that had no business being at some little elementary school, but there they were.
Anyway, in the video you see a little boy itching his neck where his tie is over and over. There are a couple acts where the curtain closes a few times and then it opens and then all of a sudden, LOL, tie is GONE. Hehe. I can just picture this six year old saying screw it I'm ripping this thing off. So cute.

I was referring to movie and TV "filmable-cute". The marketing thing is a good point. Still, the private school I'm familiar with which is similar to their school does the "log in" thing so strangers can't even see most of the web site, and while they do have some photos of the kids, it's only the high school kids, and it is an opt IN thing not an opt out. They have had a number of celebrity kids go there and have handled it well IMO.

Completely agree. It's a win-win, the kids videos are private but people who should see them can get the password. It's only a matter of time before her fans cry and beg her for the password, let's see if she coughs it up. I just think people think it's hypocritical of Kate. There are still 100's of episodes you can buy on DVD many of which include the kids very private moments, and Kate is upset about a clip of the kids singing in class. It does however plaster the name of their school which would make any warm blooded mother uncomfortable. Warm blooded, I said.
Some of US were upset because the kids have been very exposed and the creepy fans who stalk them creep us out. I probably wouldn't be very upset if it weren't these kids, other kids haven't been exposed to the world so relentlessly, and pedophiles, as they have. Because you can seriously jack up your knees or other things when you run this much and you don't know what you're doing. Running is more dangerous of a sport than many others, I think. You can do serious damage.

My school district, as part of the flurry of first-day-back-to-school-forms sends a form where you indicate if you authorize use of your kids images for newspaper or school website use. I guess if a parent indicated no and their kid showed up like that, the school would have to take it down, no?
Kate has the school password protect the videos yet she has their pictures plastered all over her blog and she talks about their personal lives in her blog posts. There's something totally 'off' about this. I'm not surprised that she had her staff (NO WAY do I believe she handled calling the school herself) take care of this for her, but somewhere, someone needs to point out to her the hypocrisy of this decision and to stand up to her demands.
We can debate all day whether or not the videos should have had a password on them and maybe never agree, but it doesn't address what she does on her OWN blog, herself, for all the world to see. That's where I have a problem and until she takes down their pictures and stops blogging and tweeting about them, their lives are not private and this move is nothing more to lock the videos is nothing more than Kate showing her hypocricy and acting the diva she's become.
I don't even think she runs that often period. She made the point that she runs at night (uh huh) and that she's too sore to run 5-6 days after the marathon. She does not have a runners body, just lost weight from starvation and lots of lipo. So I find it a hoot that she now has to keep up the running farce and has to wait another 5 months till she gets to 'run' another marathon. And when she does run, she either has to figure out a way to cheat again or actually lug herself for 26 miles. It's hard for me to believe that she enjoys this; she seems to run only to lose weight.
I do not like Kate at all, but it is unrealistic to expect her to practice the motions to the songs at home. As a former Music teacher I can tell you that I never had a parent come to school to learn the songs and motions I was teaching my students. We practiced at school (lots!) and the parents were not involved in any way. I asked parents to practice at home if their child had a special speaking part or a solo. As a parent, I've attended many of my kids' performances and they performed songs and motions I had never heard nor seen. I had no idea if my child was keeping up or not until the night of the performance. Now, if my child was struggling to learn the motions and the Music teacher contacted me to ask me to please work with him/her at home, then I would certainly do that, but I would need to learn the songs and motions myself before I could begin to practice with my child. Every Music teacher knows that some kids just struggle to learn and remember the songs and motions you teach. There's at least a few of those kids in every class. Ideally, the motions should help the students remember the song. Some kids just can't focus when you're teaching the songs, some just aren't coordinated enough to pull it off, and some just don't want to do it.
I feel so bad for those poor little kids....they didn't ask for this. Their hideous mother did it to them.
Imagine as a kid that you can't even innocently sing in your school's holiday program without strangers watching, judging, dissecting your every move...all because your stupid mother insists on putting your life out there for all to see just so she can be a stah, be famous, be treated as a diva, make a bunch of money.
And then she doesn't even help you learn the moves, or find someone to help you. She probably didn't even know that you had to know them.

I honestly (there's that Kate word) think that the only reason she wanted the videos taken down is becasue it showed the tups in a less than "perfect" light. Please don't jump all over me for this comment becasue it's not a knock on the kids. When my son was in the lower grades we did have to practice with him at home. As he got older they did all the practicing in school.
I have a question for all the runners out there. Mike Clark, the bike support guy trailing Kate during the marathon, commented something about Kate's legs being wobbly around mile 9 (am I remembering this correctly?). If this was the case, is it really possible that she would have been able to run another 17 miles?
I can't run around the block without feeling like my heart is going to explode, so I can't imagine having a hard time so early in a run and still being able to finish.
Completely agree. It's a win-win, the kids videos are private but people who should see them can get the password. It's only a matter of time before her fans cry and beg her for the password, let's see if she coughs it up. I just think people think it's hypocritical of Kate.

I am sure that she is upset about the video because she thinks that the school is trying to make money off her kids. We all know that she is the only person who is allowed to do that (Kates words not mine). I am putting the hypocrisy aside because I think it was in the best interest of the children. I am concerned that her fans are stalking the school and using it to find pictures and videos of the kids.
In case you haven't had a chance to watch The Talk with Vicki Lawrence (as Mama) give it a look. When talking about Kate Mama said something to the effect of "She's a piece of work isn't she....The last time I saw a woman like that Judy Garland took her ruby slippers and a house fell on her!" But it's less Kate has to buy and she can SAVE! She most likely tells the kids the gifts are from her, not fans.
The whole thing is really twisted and sick if you ask me ~ that people buy gifts for rich kids they don't know, and that a rich woman accepts gifts from strangers and teens and encourages it ( and most likely won't say thank-you unless publicly asked about it on twitter ).
I was reading an article in my newspaper this morning about a middle aged woman who used to be wealthy and a socialite ( in my town ) and is now homeless due to a set of unforeseen circumstances. Her 3 children are grown and live in another city and she doesn't have contact with them. All of her belongings are in storage and she sleeps in the storage warehouse, or her car in parking lots. As I read it, I thought, "That's gonna be Kate someday!" Someday her gravy train will come to a screeching halt. That pendulum will swing the other way.

I am talking about kids who have very very little to nothing.
We all can make a difference between a bleak holiday and the smallest gift will add to the excitement for a less fortunate child. No, I am not affilated with Toys for Tots, but rather trying to point out that every donation is so worth it. These children are SO very happy to get these gifts and the parents are truly thankful/grateful, in a way, I can not even explain.

Many of Kate's teen fans have part time jobs and buy the gifts and pay for postage themselves, but some of them have enabling parents. One 10-11 year old fan from either UK or Ireland had her mother help her buy the gift and mail it. Kate didn't thank her either. IIRC, she had Mady and Cara send her an email note of thanks. UGH, that's really teaching them proper etiquette, Kate.
If Kate lets packages pile up without opening them and doesn't send thank you's, I doubt she does anything with the gifts except dump them directly in the trash. Her usual reply on twitter when the fan repeatedly asks if she received it is, 'oh yeah, your package was in that stack of mail, I finally opened it, thanks'.
I don't know which is worse; Kate for continuing the ridiculously greedy acceptance of gifts or the sheeple who spend their money on gifts for an un-thankful millionaire who neither appreciates the gift or the gesture. Especially at this time of year when so many charities are in such a need for funds and yet there's Kate who does NOTHING that is selfless. At this point I think Kate cares what others think, the ones who don't like her is because it's the largest base she's got left. All her energy is going towards proving hem wrong...all in order to make herself feel better.
She has no guilt in making her kids feel miserable, never has and probably never will. The only thing she may feel guilty about later is that if she hadn't decided to change, if she hadn't gone for reality TV fame she might actually still have a family to be proud of, friends who actually want to help and see her. But she doesn't and it is so her own fault.
You know, it's soooooo sad that she has to make up shit about herself and how happy her kids supposedly are. If she even ran that damn marathon, why would anyone believe her given all the red flags surrounding her, including her own blog posting filled with inconsistencies galore? Regarding gifts. I have less problem with Kate's lack of grace and manners in thanking people for these gifts or asking them to be given to less fortunate, than I have with her allowing gifts to be sent to her AT ALL! These twitter and website fans are complete strangers to her - could be, and in many cases, likely ARE not entirely well. I read recently that two of the female judges on X-Factor have been receiving death threats simply due to the fact that they eliminated a couple of contestants. These are not women who are ordinarily despised as much as Kate Gosselin is. Kate seems to be despised by a much larger percentage of American tv watchers. Why would she allow or encourage anyone to send packages to her children? Why does she give out her mailing address? A long time ago, I once gave a celeb's kids birthday gifts. For two birthdays in a row. I had actually met them. No thank you note. Ever. No acknowledgement. One was a nice gift worth 30 bucks too. I will never do it again for any celeb. Kate is not the only one.
Props to her PR person who has managed to get her gigs as a "marathon runner,and regular travel" and fully paid expenses so she can do her 2 week travel- 2 week kids per month with nannies and Jon.
I think these were her priorities once the show ended. Any way to travel with Steve and not be stuck at home with her kids for any long period of time.

Agree with all of the above.
Saying that these children have "no film-able talents" is simply stating a fact. Your child may be your own special snowflake, as is everyone's, but that doesn't mean that a career in film is waiting in the wings, no matter how insane you are.
Following small children around 24/7 to invade their private moments in daily life isn't training for anything, much less a career in show business. And even if it were, their mother's neglect has beaten to death the kinds of spark and confidence that might have made them confident performers.
They are average. So is most of the world. Get over it. The average, or in Kate-speak, the "mediocre", are the people upon whom we ALL depend every day for almost everything we do and need in daily life.
Kate pulling the school's videos? Of course it's all about the money. It sure isn't about "privacy". Nobody makes money, or gets publicity, off her little ATMs but Kate.
I don't know whether Chris the Paparazzo will be getting one. He's fallen off his tripod or something. In addition to Toys for Tots, the Salvation Army Angel Tree Project is a great one. I always put a toy or 2 in the T4T bins, but Angel Tree is close to my heart. I get such a kick out of shopping for a couple of kids every year, and I always try to get at least one girl of Barbie age, because I make Barbie clothes year round. There's so much need this year. It breaks my heart to think that there might be kids out there who get nothing this year.

My bet is that TLC had arranged for her to run a marathon in June, and for some reason that fell through. So they arranged this LV one. (We all know she's completely incapable of arranging anything herself. Someone else had to have fixed this up for her.)
Only in the meantime, they cancelled her. But they let this LV marathon stay for some reason. (Maybe cuz someone thought it would be funny to make her do some actual work for a change? By then it looks like they were plotting ways to make her miserable...the Alaska trip, the RV trip, a marathon.)
I don't remember exactly what was said, but back in July she alluded to the LV marathon on twitter. She knew way back then that she was running the LV 1/2 marathon. (IMO, the full marathon thing didn't come up until she connected with the two women from Penn State.)
I think Kate knew TLC was going to book her for a marathon, just for something different to film, and thus she started up on the running thing.

with the little hat and the white muff....oh, I don't know. I still have them, and I'm nearly 60.
I just visited the IW site (don't know why) and I about barfed. They think we have too much time on our hands, we just wait for a chance for Kate to mess up, and BAM! We blast her.
Uh, no. We simply point out the facts. She HAS messed up before (we all have, but that's not the point). Kate makes the same mistakes over and over, and never apologizes for it or tries to make amends.
As usual, they claim we're just jealous and bitter because of her "success" and so we blast her to make ourselves feel better. One sheeple even said, "If the haters are this jealous of Kate, what must it be like if they're jealous of a friend or family member? Do they get blasted then too?"
I am never going there again. Too many scary people who truly think Kate is Mother Teresa.
I thought some something Kate may never be able to grasp.
The hardest thing about being a parent is not soley taking care of them physically, its about learning how not to think so much about yourself and your needs.
You think Kate will ever learn that lesson? I sure as heck don't! All I did today was babysit my two regular kids for a few extra hours.
If Kate is so overwhelmed with wrapping, here's an idea. The local malls have a wrapping kiosk. They do a beautiful job. Steve could help her take the gifts there. You can leave them with the volunteers while you shop, or you can return for them. All of the proceeds go to United Disabilities. I've been doing this for many years. It's tax deductible, and you're donating to a worthwhile organization.
Nah - that would be too easy. Then she couldn't gripe and complain about the wrapping and her sheeple wouldn't be able to fuss over what a wonderful, devoted exhausted mom she is, doing everything for the kids.
Regarding the videos: yeah, Kate is sure possessive of her kids "x8". Ironic given how little she thinks of them and how much she neglects and abandons them. Think of the people whose access to the kids is limited or cut off. Lots of good people who really cared about those kids, so much so that they put up with their mom for as ling as they could stand it. But bam! Someone makes a suggestion Kate doesn't like (stop accepting freebies, for ex) and they are cut.off. It is criminal that she has isolated them from people who could have enriched their lives only to neglect them herself. WTF

The site has not been made private, but the videos the G8 were in are now private. All grades other than 1st are still available and an excerpt from the Sound of Music is there, just not the entire clip.
I bet the talk around the school staff water cooler will include how wide spread the problems are with Khate.

It sounds like Jon has put the kibosh on any more filming of the kids (good for him!) My guess is Kate is trying to find a way to soon charge for the content of her dumb website, perhaps including footage of the children. Kate probably had a heart attack at the thought of the fans getting to watch her kids for free, especially in something as adorable as school programs. For a paycheck yes, for an extravagant freebie yes, for $20 yes, the kids are available. Not for free, though. This is quite similar to her deep-seated terror that someone will get a picture of the kids in a public place and sell it to a tabloid.
And I agree with This too Shall Pass, I can only imagine the staff chatter at school Monday about how Kate had the videos of the kids taken down ASAP for "privacy" issues but she's been broadcasting them on TV for over five years. Pot, meet the hypocritical kettle.

So now grades one, four and five cannot be seen, but the rest of Lower School is still there. What kind of a message does this send to the students in the grades whose videos were pulled? That the Gosselins are different, are privileged, and that with celebrity status comes the power to pull the entire classes' presentations just because there are kids in their class whose mom has set them up to be entitled? The other kids are learning discrimination because eight kids are "special."
I just feel after all the exposure these kids deserve absolute complete privacy, complete.

Spain I don't like dictating to people what they should do. For the same reason I never ordered others to not watch the show. We're all adults. The videos are private now so the issue is moot anyway.
It is everyone's desire to feel normal, part of the group, whatever that may be: school, work, community, etc. Kate suffers from a huge ego fed by poor self-esteem. She needs the world to know her kids are different and special, as if the world cares anymore. So yeah, there will be watercolor talk, carpool talk, and maybe classroom talk. Those kids will suffer for her bullshit. Every grade's videos should be posted or none. The school is showing quite a bit of restraint in dealing with her. Surely they could fill those 8 slots with cool kids with delightful parents who pay full tuition. The kind of kids and parents who contribute to a school, if only by being pleasant or participating in sports. Instead they are stuck with dealing with this crazy bitch and probably do so only because they are attached to and feel bad for the kids x8

Why do HER wishes prevail over ALL of the other parents with kids in these clases? I am guessing Kate is not very popular with her selfish behavior and her kids may suffer some backlash as well. I can only imagine what this school has gone through to accomodate the needs of her 8 children (not talking normal needs, but rather "Kate needs."
If the school is smart, they will ask her to place her children elsewhere next year, as she appears to be high maintenance and the school has many other children to consider.
Oh of course the kids are getting oodles of gifts, she's in her Christmas Closet evening things up up today in preparation for the wrapping marathon. If I'm recalling correctly, I remembering wishing I had such a space myself, but Khate seemed less that impressed with it and commented that either she didn't like wrapping or didn't wrap much. Maybe she's more of a 'gift bag' person.

The videos were not "taken down." They were put on private. Anyone who should be seeing them can see them. Those who should not be seeing them, can't. I don't see that as treating them special. This is what the vast majority of schools do celeb kids or not. Frankly I'm shocked they put any videos up there of any kids at all.

This wasn't the first time videos of her kids from school have been posted online. Perhaps if she'd read all of the information that the school sends home with the kids and the admission packet for parents she would have already known about the website and the different videos that are posted. The school posts them for parents/families and it's a shame that Kate has obviously never had a need to ever avail herself of them to share with friends or family before or to have even watched with the kids herself. This is nothing more than a crystal clear example of how UNinvolved she is with her kids' school and their activities there.

I totally agree. It's amazing that Khate seemed to have NO CLUE that the school had a Facebook page where they posted so many videos (on their Vimeo account). I'll bet the school can't wait to get rid of this unpleasant parent. Yes, schools, especially private schools, have to put up with a lot of serious crap from some difficult parents, but this one is really over the top.
No one will say it out loud, but the day Kate no longer has children at that school will be a day of great rejoicing by staff, administration, and other parents. Dealing with her, when she finally deigns to notice what's going one, must be hell on earth.

Is she wrapping presents today? I thought Jon had the kids last weekend when she was in Las Vegas, so aren't they with her this weekend? She has all next week, all day long, while they're at school to wrap gifts. That's what most mothers do. That, or late at night.

Not quite, Khate. It should be "everything including stocking gifts IS wrapped here". That's a classic 3rd grade error. She sucks at subject predicate agreement. The subject of that sentence is "everything" (not Christmas stockings). So, "everything" IS wrapped.

I saw Khate's Christmas tree. I find it odd to place a poinsettia plant directly in front of a tree you're taking a picture of.
I think it's to hide the scant lights on the lower half of the tree. Someone tweeted that the kids probably decorated the tree when she was in Las Vegas. Could be true and that's why the bad string of lights wasn't replaced.
Lastly, I guess the trees located between chairs and in front of a table because it's vital to position it in front of the window?!?!
Not to judge one's decision of where to put a Christmas tree, but I prefer my tree be in my living room where it can be seen all day and evening long. It's also a great place to open gifts on Christmas morning.

Well, if that's not a deliberately posed picture, doubt the nativity sits out there on the floor, and what's with the one huge poinsettia? As for her after church comment, would that be church on her tv or the real deal? A rare December visit? I agree, if baking illicits an 'ugh' why do it? If you look at the foreground of the photo, the nativity and the poinsettia are both on a round table. You can see the detailed edge of it at the very front of the pic, closet to the viewer. That she's chosen to take the photo from that angle is odd. It does make it look like she's trying to hide the barely lit or decorated bottom part of the tree. The tree also looks very sparsely decorated to me. Yet another thing that she does half-assed.

I meant to add, I don't see any of the homemade ornaments that my kids used to make in school or in crafts class. We mixed them in with our regular ornaments and used them until they, literally, fell apart;any that survived were given to my kids when they were adults and had their own trees. My tree may not have been "picture perfect" but it was always interesting.

Random thoughts after looking at the tree photo.
Did the twins' sparkly glittery ballet shoes ornaments make it to the tree this year? You know, the ones Kate tried to give away at a yard sale....the gifts Grandpa Gosselin gave them?
Who put the tree up? It's a live tree, so that took somebody some work to drag home and set up.
The placement of the poinsettia may look fine in the room, but having it so prominent in the picture, hiding the tree so much, is odd. Two separate pictures might have worked better so the fans could appreciate the tree more.

It looks to me like the bottom half of the tree's lights aren't working (top half is much brighter compared to the dim bottom half), so she used the poinsettia to hide the blemish. It wouldn't surprise me if Kate didn't bother to test the lights prior to putting them on the tree...had my share of brand-new lights not working so I always test them now at the store before purchasing. Or, Kate ran out of lights to fill the entire tree.
Then again, maybe fidosmommy is right about Kate squeezing the tree and nativity scene into one tweet photo instead of having two separate photos...creating such an odd photo.

No need to wait until Monday. It's already being chattered about. I don't know about the staff, but others certainly are talking. It's no wonder that she has no friends in the community. It's too bad that the sheeple are so blind that they can't see her for what she really is.

That is one of the most pathetic trees I have ever seen. I'd be ashamed to post a photo like that. Ya know people, I have read here so many times how dumb Kate is. I'm not so sure of that. Reading and watching the articles written, the show, her tweets, I'm convinced that from day one she contrived a "master minded" plan on how she could be rich and never have to work again. Remember, "she doesn't work for money."
I believe that she knew,from experience of her upbringing, that playing ignorant would get her there.
She knew she would have to find the kind of man who would be passive, to get everything her way. One who she could convince that her world of order was the only way their life would be easy. One who she could bully into doing everything, because someone had to be in charge. One who wouldn't think for himself.
I'm convinced that Jon took her crap, not because he didn't have big kahunas, but because he genuinely loved her and the children when they came along.
I have yet to see anyone with money who got it because of their stupidity. I'm not talking about inheritance. I wont say that all are crafty but it comes from knowing and being smart enough to play the game.
Please don't get offended, I didn't mean that in a bad way. It takes intelligence and, for most, hard work. The key word is intelligence. They know where, when, and what it takes to get where they want to be. But when people like Kate let it go to there head and get greedy, well you know what happens. Money is good. It's the LOVE of money that can make you crooked.
So with that I make my point. Kate has used the mask of stupidity and being naive to convince everyone that they should have pity on her and help her achieve everything she has set out to do and we have all fallen for it in some way. If you think I'm wrong with that statement, how many times have people changed their mind on one subject. At least 200 to 600 times on this blog alone. Dissecting every which way about every stunt she pulled. Thank God it helped in getting the children their privacy. I'm just as guilty and it kills me to admit that.

I think there are many, many negative things that Kate is guilty of. But being stupid is not one. Lazy, yes. A bad parent, yes. A horrible mean person, absolutely, a grifter, no question.
It takes brains to get a nursing license. It takes brains to be a nurse. It takes brains to connive and manipulate others.
What she doesn't have and doesn't care about is, morals, kindness, love, gentleness, meekness, compassion, wisdom, character, warmth, substance. Add in as you please.

My first thought was that her tweet means that the sitter must have been there alone dealing with vomiting kids the last time they were sick, if she misplaced the basins. Maybe some of them were sick when she was in Australia. Ordinarily, I would feel SO bad for the kids that they were sick and vomiting when their mother wasn't there, because every kid just wants mommy when they're sick like that. However, in this case, they probably received better care and attention from the sitter than from Khate.
Ha, Khate's lucky the kids didn't get sick sooner and pass it on to her before she left for her marathon.

Btw, after she brought the subject up in that tweet, there have been other tweets about Khate dating and finding the right man, all in the middle of the vomiting tweets.
Khate responded to the remark about putting her child on the laundry room floor ~ didn't because it was too far.
She admits she put child on bed on floor near her. In all my years of parenting I never put any of my children on the floor when ill/vomiting.
Khate's tweeting during these episodes is proof positive that she cares only about her needs and distances herself emotionally from her children. I can't believe she does not see that. So hard to believe someone can be so cold and indifferent.

I've had a vomiting child and I've never made her sleep on the floor for any reason, ever. She slept in her bed with a bucket nearby just in case. And I would sit with her with a cool washcloth on her head stroking her hair until she drifted off. And the whole time I was hoping against hope her stomach would allow the poor thing to get some uninterrupted sleep.
I knew on nights like that I'd either get broken sleep or none at all. That's part of being a parent, it's just part of the package. Sure it sucks, but I wasn't going to make her sleep on the floor and fall asleep without any comforting from me.
Cold, unloving parents always baffle me. I don't even understand it. They're your own flesh and blood--no human sympathy or nurturing or warmth?

Yes, that's the way that store works. I remember when I checked their website and Facebook. They have tons of (fugly) fabrics available, and a couple dozen different styles. You choose the fabric and the style and - voila - you are a "designer" too! You know, kind of like when you read a recipe off the back of a box, make a substitution or two, and - ta da - you're a "cook"!

Yeah, it's common for tweens to have cell phones, but Kate has always been adamant that the children have no access to things like that. Maybe the phone is for emergencies, and it is restricted?

It's Children and Youth Services (CYS) in PA, and if complaints were made, it must, under law, investigate. Those reports are kept private, so it's not known if complaints were received and therefore investigated.
Kates fans can not look past their own noses to see amazing people in their own community. I have seen two amazing people who work at my local walmart. The first one is a little person. She has a tracheotomy and wears an oxygen tank. She is a graveyard checker. She cant talk but she still smiles and dose a fabulous job communicating with the customers. I love going when she is working. The other person is a young homeless man. He lives in his car in the parking lot with his cat. He was hit by hard times and is currently saving up money to rent an apartment. He is also such a nice polite person who works hard and is grateful for what he has These peoples jobs are mediocre but the people themselves are conquering extreme adversity. I think this makes them super stars.
My donations this year are going to a family in my knitting group. The mom was engaged to a guy for three years. Her kids had started to think of him as their father. All of the sudden, he kicked them all out of his house and called off the engagement. They were homeless for a week until one of the family shelters had space for them. We are all working hard to make nice things for the kids, buying non perishable food items and finding special yarn for mom.
I wish that the teen fans would open their eyes to all of the people in their community. I am sure that they would find many amazing people to admire.
