Hey, Kate Gosselin looks just like Mrs. Wiggins

Breaking News: Kate's doppelgänger has been located.

Cardiogirl.net

And it's that hysterical, and rather cotton-brained secretary Mrs. Wiggins from The Carol Burnett Show. (Just because we feel like being completely silly this long weekend. Happy MLK Day.)

Oh my! I'd forgotten how funny those Mrs. Wiggins sketches were. She does look like Kate, right down to the gum chomping!

From the other thread -- re the post-its -- I leave post-its all over the house too, sometimes, but they're just for me. I always post a list on my front door, with due dates of my library books and DVDs, so I don't forget them, and I keep one with doctor/dentist appointment dates on my frig, so if I don't look at my organizer I still have a reminder in front of me. But to post them around the house for your kids, instead of taking the time to talk to them and to teach them? How lazy can you get?

Dee said... 7

She's turned herself into a cartoon, but who knew she had a twin? She thinks she's Barbie, but she's really Carol Burnett in drag.

Those post-its? What a jerk.

Kate will never understand that having your husband or loved one learn over time how you like your coffee and for them to take the time to learn your preferences and eventually make you a cup the way you like it, and heck, maybe even mess up your coffee a few times, is far more rewarding then ordering them how to make it via a passive aggressive post it note in your juvenile bubblegum handwriting detailing how many scoops of this and of that.

Anybody think Kate does this?

What I think is hysterical is that skanky 17 year old married to the old guy actor has more Twitter followers than Kate does....LOL.

Haha. Good one!

Think she maybe really did "write" that stupid book on her iphone?
It drives me nuts trying to just type a comment on my smartphone, let alone a whole book. Although that wasn't really a book. More like some assembled notes.

Must have taken her forever! What with having to come up with some actual thoughts, and then two-finger typing them into the phone...

I thought safety drills were the law. Oh wait nobody knows what law to follow.
===================

They are the law. Coast Guard requires them. I don't know if the law requires them to be held immediately after setting sail. On the doomed ship, however, they were postponed, scheduled for later. I've never heard of this being done. I always dread the safety drill, but it's one of those things that needs to be done. I read that the crew was very inefficient in their safety instructions once the accident happened, and by the time they decided to disengage the lifeboats, it was too late because the ship was listing too much.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said... 27

They are the law. Coast Guard requires them.

&&&&&&

But who's law?? Whose coast guard? The country where the ship is registered? The country you are in? The country you are going to? The country you came from? That's the point. That's why it can be so easy for this to get confusing.

Italy is taking control of this, but what if they happened to maroon off say Iran and the captain goes straight to the guillotine after a kangaroo trial? We wouldn't want them to follow that law. I like to know what country I am in at all times.

It is Maritime international law that all passenger ships have to complete a safety drill. However I have never been on a ship that didn't do it just before or while leaving the port of embarkation.

My heart is heavy for the family that lost members in this tragedy.

Now back to Kate. Why does she at random times feel the need to shout out the number of followers? Comes across as needing not bragging.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said... 30

And yet many countries have their own maritime laws if you enter their waters that may or may not be the same. When they conflict with UN maritime regulations, it gets complicated.

For instance in Italy, it appears Italian authorities basically just took this whole thing over.

Marie said... 31

@Fidosmommy, I do remember that with the little girls, and I also remember that even when she felt which child it was...she was wrong and seemed *shocked* she was wrong. I don't remember the episode or whatever I just know she was wrong and it was absolutely sad.

#################

There isn't any such thing as "Maritime International Law". The phrase refers to a collection of international Maritime laws, not a legal code.

Every country has its own maritime laws (or not) and follows what they chose. Countries may enter into agreements to honor particular laws in agreement with other nations, and sign contracts or treaties to that effect, but that is voluntary.

A brief review of the history of the UN illustrates how perfectly "international law" works, even when it exists. (Note, it doesn't, as a rule.) In this case, it doesn't exist.

As Admin has noted, ships are notoriously registered in the nations that have the fewest, and most advantageous (to ship owners), laws and regulations. Sailing in international waters has allowed the huge cruise lines to hide and avoid reporting the crimes that occur on their floating, unpoliced, cities.

When 3-6,000 people are gathered for a week in a confined space with no government and no police force, crime happens. Rapes are not uncommon, theft is very common, and there have been some spectacular drug issues, too, including big-time dealing.

"Safety drills" are not necessarily the first thing on ship owners' minds. The bottom line is.

fidosmommy said... 33

All this talk about what laws are in effect on a cruise ship reminds me of my father.

It depended on where he was standing/sitting as to which country he belonged to. If he was in Great Britain, he was a British subject. If he was in Canada, he was Canadian citizen. Anywhere else in the world made him and American citizen. It all had to do with where he was born, the citizenship of his parents and an old Canadian law about minor children of resident aliens ..........or something like that. I never really understood it. I'm glad he did because he liked to travel.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said... 34

Legal Beagle, I tend to agree. I like your analogy of a floating city without police or laws. That's really what it is. This is why it has been so easy for these ships to cover up crimes. If the U.S. tries to touch them they have just said hey we weren't in the U.S. we were on open water or in this country, or we're not registered in the U.S.

If international law worked, why aren't all American cruise ships registered here? What are they trying to hide? What are they afraid of?

All this incident tells me is that these cruise ships are just as shady as I always feared and don't give a damn about "international law" and will just do what they want when they want when it's convenient for them and hedge their bets that no accidents will happen.

Just like many drug companies have done in the past, there are meetings with these people. Drug company has a drug A that is cheap to make, cures people, but there is a small chance you might die. Drug company A produces this drug without telling people you might die and makes millions. When that one person dies, they pay them off in a lawsuit. They still made more money than had they heavily regulated the drug. This is what cruise ships do. It's a pleasanter experience not to follow laws and regulations and we'll take the chance that there might be an accident or two and just pay those people off. The end result is we will still make more money this way.

I doubt I will ever cruise again. Not just because of this incident, but it's indicative of everything I have concerns about.

How disingenuous of you! $ DON'T stop vacations/family memories for you, now, do they? And this emphasis on the memories, when her children now do nothing but relive their own childhoods over and over again on the bloody DVDs that are always running on their TV. What NEW memories has she made with them lately? And why are vacations the only things that seem to qualify as worthwhile memories in Katie's world?

That is funny! I see Alice Travel, wasted no time in offering a singles cruise package. According to them, tickets are selling. I think they are full of it. If it were a big sell to start, why the singles package now? I think many of Kates freaks, families and partners, husbands etc, were not gonna shell out that much money, for a family cruise. A single person paying $1900, is more reasonable then dragging family and shelling out $5000 +. I sure Kate is having a cow about that. But will rejoyce in getting more to come if the terms of her payment remain the same(percentage).

fidosmommy said... 44

For someone who has had ALL of her family vacations and memory making done on the dime of a cable TV network, Kate certainly has crossed the line with me to play this game. Oh, you poor, poor mediocre folk who can't scrape together a few thousand dollars to sail the ocean blue for a week. Oh, you poor dears, how ever will you and your families ever have memories? I wish I could toss a few bundles your way, but you know, the need is so great ...
and the shoes at Macy's are calling my name as we speak.

readerlady said... 45

That's funny, Kate. I'm 63 years old and most of my family memories DON'T involve vacations. Some do, of course, but mostly it's sitting in the livingroom engrossed in a book and looking up to see Mom and Dad also deep in a book. Or sitting down at the dinner table and listening to my Dad say Grace, or going to pick strawberries at the pick it yourself farm. Listening to my Dad play the piano. Singing duets with my Mom. You know, things that didn't cost anything. No, Kate, it isn't lack of $$ that interfere with family memories. It's lack of love.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said... 46

I feel story for Kate. I'm sorry she feels you have to have money to have a good life.

For my grandparent's 50th anniversary the 11 of us grandchildren made them a book each writing about our favorite memories.

Some of the things we talked about: Picking cherries with Grandpa, hiking out back, cooking with Grandma, Grandma teaching us how to knit. Grandma reading us stories, going to the drive-in before they closed it. Making ice cream, making caramel corn. Vacation Bible School. Fishing, the lake.

Huh, no one mentioned the trips we took, although we all did take some with the grandparents at some point to various places.

This fact was lost on us kids and honestly I don't think anyone really thought much about it, until a friend of my grandma's who saw what we made pointed it out.

Dallas Lady said... 47

Her latest tweet burns me the HELL UP.

Hey Kate:

Guess what? Vacations DO cost money. I realize your classless grifting orange ass has been sent on vacations with nannies on TLC's dime for years. I realize you now think you can MAKE money going on a vacation by trying to trick your ten poor hapless fans into paying way more than they should for five minutes of your joy-killing presence.

But for everyone else? Vacations COST MONEY. In some cases, a lot of money. Some are worth it, like saving up to see the Coliseum in Rome or stand in a markplazt at Christmas in the snow or seeing the Great Wall of China. Some are NOT worth it, and I'd put your sham cruise squarely in that category.

If you are true to form, you'll be in a bad mood anytime you have to do any of those crappy activities, you'll fling a tote bag at the six people who show up, you'll be "sick" for the crafting, BBQ, and several other functions, and you'll lose what few fans you had left. Then good luck to you getting any more PAID vacations after that.

Screw You,
Never a Fan

Layla said... 48

Hmmm, the latest story is that tickets for the Kate cruise are "selling". Not selling fast or anything, just selling. And most of the story is that they got a lot of calls and emails. Just because lots of people call doesn't mean they are all buying tickets. Alice Travel says they expected a lot of families (at that price? Seriously?), but most of the inquiries are from singles, and that's why they posted the single occupancy prices. But if someone had trouble coming up with $1900, then $3000 for a single room isn't going to help them. Otherwise, they are stuck rooming with a stranger. And they still aren't giving them the full price. That $1900 or $3000 does not include tax, or that huge fuel charge, or any of the other fees. If someone is shelling out that much, then how much are they going to feel entitled to from Kate in return? They aren't going for the cruise itself, they are going to see Kate. And for several thousand dollars, they are going to expect a lot of one-on-one attention from her in return.
Now, all the tickets are not at the $1900 price. The price goes up to something like $5400 (not all the cabins are the tiny closet-sized ones that go for the cheapest price). So, the people who end up having to spend more for their tickets--will she "owe" them more time and attention because they paid more for it? How will the $1900 passnegers feel if she gives more attention to the $5400 passengers? Will they feel slighted, get jealous, get mad? We see how nasty and demanding they get when they don't get enough of her attention on Twitter. What happens when that behavior starts? And they will all be stuck together in a confined space. Will they take it out on each other? On Kate? On whichever vulerable kids Kate takes along? There is going to be a story to go with this, just you wait and see.

I think the only way her fans will be satisfied on this cruise is if Kate spends every waking and sleeping moment with them. Anything else will never be enough. Even if Kate devoted several hours to them every day I don't think they will be satisfied. And since we know Kate is likely only going to show up for activities, this spells disaster.

Here's a good quote about questioning the ballooning SIZE of these ships and how you can possibly evacuate all these people quickly and safety. According to reports panic insued on this ship, the crew was frozen at times, and these were supposed to be people trained to evacuate. The Allure is, if I'm not mistaken, the biggest in the RC fleet.

Nautilus International, a maritime employees trade union, called the accident a "wake-up call" to regulators.
"Nautilus is concerned about the rapid recent increases in the size of passenger ships -- with the average tonnage doubling over the past decade," said Nautilus general secretary Mark Dickinson in a statement. "Many ships are now effectively small towns at sea, and the sheer number of people onboard raises serious questions about evacuation."

According to the website, tips and port charges (are included). They need to find out what the taxes and other fees might be. The website does not mention this. I'd love to watch the sheeple try to figure out the customs form, what is subject to taxes, what is exempt, what they must claim, etc.

I wonder if they know that there are two formal nights on the ship. They need to get moving to their thrift shops to find a gown or two.

The ships are huge. You can't imagine the size of one until you walk the length of one in the harbor. Anything over 2,000 passengers is too big for me, which is why I stick with the smaller Holland America ships. I just don't think that they are safe. Not only do I think that these massive new ships are top-heavy, but the big ships are just too difficult to navigate your way around. I like the ships where I know the layout of the ship, where everything is and I don't need a map to figure out where I am.

Kate is all about never having nothing. The thing is...it is just too hard to try and satisify an empty pit. Sure you can try but even after all that hard work it will have amounted to nothing. There is sometimes just no pleasing people and Kate happens to be one of them.

If she found herself suddenly broke tomorrow with no money in the bank, no gas in her car, no food in her fridge and no way to pay the bills that keep her home warm, would this can-do person be able to actually do things on her own? I don't think so. I haven't seen Kate live in the moment and be prepared much less content for the bumps in the road.

No, what I see is all the things she wants, wanting something and earning it takes time. But she's the kind of person who wants it on a whim and life should never be lived like that all the time.

Her cruise to her is only worth it because for the moment it gives her something to talk about, it fills her void of boredom, loneliness and this never ending bottomless need to HAVE whatever it is. I don't think there is a cure for what she's got but I do almost guarentee it will get worse as she gets older.

Here we go - expecting the one-on-one! This is not good! You know, though, even though it's the obsessive fans that often pose the most danger to celebrities, there are a few haters on Twitter, one in particular who types in all caps, who spews venom with such vulgarity that it should also cause Kate concern.

Twitter has become a playground for malcontents and low lifes, both sheeple and haters. Haters seem to be bent on calling sheeple sexual perverts, and one even goes so far as to be so nasty that she/he ridicules a sheeple whose husband committed suicide.

What does this say about adults who name call, who intimidate, who are cruel to one another? It seems that these adults have so much to learn, but nobody to teach them. When kids behave this way, there's usually a parent to correct them. But in this case, there is nobody to teach them, no authority figure to tell them to calm down, not to bully, or to tell them to "cut it out." These adults may, in fact, be parents themselves. What is that teaching THEIR children?

As adults, it's so important that we learn to deal with our emotions with maturity. We need to think before we act and before we speak. Shouldn't we have learned to censor ourselves before we hurt one another? What do these feuding sheeple and haters get out of this ongoing mud slinging on Kate's Twitter page, attacking one another on a daily basis?

Kate needs to pull the plug on this Twitter page. It has become nothing more than a forum for antagonism, hostility and bullying.

My favorite part of the Carol Burnett Show was when Harvey Korman would lose it in a skit with Tim Conway. All Tim would have to do was wiggle an eyebrow and that would be the end for Korman. He'd lose it and start laughing.

Unlike Kate, who seems to think the only memories worth recording are those that involve money and travel, I have fond memories of sitting at home with my parents watching the Carol Burnett Show and all of us laughing until our sides hurt. Kate came from mediocre and unhappy roots. Don't know how her parents treated her but SHE felt inadequate and less than, and is overcompensating now. I believe her inner self felt deprived financially and materially. She complained that money was a problem while growing up and they did not travel. I also believe she felt ripped off with regards to beauty and body habitus, so she spends her children's money and starves herself to try to remedy that. She clearly felt slighted with regards to social status and values her money pit house and traveling as evidence that she has made it. But the bottom line is that the problem is HER. She is unhappy and insecure. She needs therapy. She can never be rich or skinny enough to be happy. And sadly, all of her "hard work" has made her uglier than she once was and house poor and there are 8 kids who didn't ask to live with Kate's version if crazy. She is restless, irritable and discontent and probably always will be. I'd bet anything she is in need of a twelve step program

I don't know if anyone has posted or this but I thought you might get a laugh.
So what’s in it for Gosselin? Yes, Kate is being paid to appear on the cruise — receiving an undisclosed amount per person booked. Failla says celebrities usually donate the fees to a charity, but Gosselin has not revealed which charity she may be promoting on this cruise. Many of you will likely think the charity will be the Gosselin eight college fund...

Sounds like Kate has to give her permission to her Twitter people to continue talking without her there. This is crazy.

You know her kids are going to leave home one day and she's not going to know a thing about them because she was too busy with her nose buried into her stupid phone.

If I had a dollar for every time she sent, replied to or started a Tweet then maybe I could afford to live like Kate does. Until then I'll take my mediocre self and mediocre friends for some non-organic mediocre pizza.

Like I posted on a previous thread, about how that, celeb M & G, works(with James Marsters). Kates fans are not gonna get the me special fan, time with Kate. They are in for a big shock. The way it works goes like this: At a Sci-fi convention, James Marster is to appear(at that time it was for Buffy), 1. you pay for convention, hotel, plane, car rental. 2. his PR, sets up an extra thing for just his fans. Which had cost $1000, $700, $200, and the you get an autograph for $100. Each price had different perks added, the higher the price, the more you got for your money(maybe)3. Security, each ticket had a color code, so if you paid $700, you did not get into the private party on thursday night, but got to go to the breakfast on sunday morning. Depends on what was in your package. 4. you were limited on the amount of time you were allowed with James, 5 min max. 5. there was no buddy buddy stuff. 6. each ticket amount had a certain number: only 24 people for $1000. 50 for $700 etc. 7. it was a competition to get on the phone and call the minute the tickets went on sale(good luck with that). 8, the packages were set up as: reserved seating, private party on thursday, autographs, pics with James, concert by James, sunday breakfast with James, and possibly another party with James and private auction. The parties were, you paid for a drink, had snack food and got to take as many pics of James and talk to him for 5 min.
With Kate it will be the same thing from what they listed. These fans will not be getting buddy, buddy with her, they will be lucky if they get 5 min of her time. What I said above is just for the James experience, the convention also had autograph sessions, and panels with James and other Buffy guests. Just depended on how much money you were willing to shell out. And yes, there were fans who would sell their soul, to be near him, follow him to his room, camp out in the hallway, take anything he touched(looking for DNA, I could have made a nice sum of money off these people). At the convention it self, they bought everything with his pic on it. And God forbid you say anything negative about him, you might just end up dead.
I'll say it again Kates fanatics are in for a shocker. Pay a lot of money to line Kate pockets, and get little in return. And hope it does not turn into another RV trip, like so many of her trips have.

tate said... 73

So, Kate says Rod Dixon (the marathon "expert" guy) is going to help her train for her next marathon. I believe he lives/works in LA. Does that mean many trips back and forth to LA? She said in her tweet that she hoped they could work it out. Does that mean she wants her airfare, hotel, etc while "training" all paid for by Rod Dixon or "a sponsor" of some kind? I'm sure.

Wow, just read at the Kate cruise site: single rate is $3000, double is $1900, the cheapest. That does not include fees and tax.
And the events page has at the very bottom: events subject to change. Sorry, I would not be surprised if Kate canceled half the listed events, once Mays finale payments were made or at the time of departure.
So we are going on a cruise with Kate, Kate might not do all the listed events(knowing her history), her kids might not be on this cruise(though rumoured to be at least 2 are going), we are shelling out money to pay kate to come on this cruise(though it is stated she is hosting) and if she cancels(for sickness or death) we only get the money that we paid for Kates events back. Not a full cruise refund. Sounds like a rip-off to me.

Tate, yes. Anytime Kate says she hopes it works out, that means she hopes it's free for her. It's not even really code anymore, that's straight up what she means by that. Not "I hope I can make this work with the kids' schedules." She's NEVER worried about that. This is the woman who ran off to LA repeatedly to film DWTS RIGHT AFTER her divorce, when her kids were feeling very upset and unmoored. She even said they were feeling that way, and we know two of them were acting out enough to get expelled from kindergarten.

So yeah, she means if someone besides her can pay for it. Real piece of work, isn't she?

Love how she gives permission for people to keep tweeting while she goes to bed.

The craft experience, family games, shore excursion, etc., are INCLUDED in the price on the travel agency site. They have already built that fee into the cabin rates listed on the site, which are about $900 more than what you'd pay at other agencies without the Kate package.

Milo said her husband told Kate to look for the big, handsome man. Do "Hubs" and Milo think Kate will find Hubs attractive and be envious of Milo? These two, Milo and Hubby, sound really unbalanced.

I do feel bad saying this because I know Milo has serious health issues.

For the person who asked if pain meds might cause such behavior... Milo has been tweeting since April, but her health issues only surfaced sometime in the summer according to her tweets. Her tweets haven't changed much since all this happened, so I don't think it's meds.

They won't get even 5 minutes of her time each day. Let's see, they are planning on selling 200 tickets, and if each were to get 5 minutes of her time per day, that's 1,000 minutes per day. She'd have to put in 16 hours a day just chatting with these people. They'll be lucky to get 5 minutes TOTAL with her on the whole cruise. For the thousands of dollars they're spending, they want to get to know her. Some of them are delusional enough to think they'll make some kind of connection with her. Not gonna happen. How will they feel about Kate when she doesn't single them out for attention? You know they'll feel slighted. Maybe this is why so many "celebs" (I'm using the term loosely in her case)donate the money from these cruises to charity--then, at least, people can feel like they donated to a good cause, even if they don't get to see much of the "celeb".

Kate is playing her usual dangerous game. She'll be LUCKY if all that happens is that they attack her on blogs and twitter. That's the best she can hope for. The worst could get really ugly.

Thanks, Tweet-le! What bizarre and terrible parenting. I agree with you about the outcome to Milo's children.

I sometimes observe older and less refined men in our area teasing boys (usually but not always grandsons or nephews), as if they're going to "turn the boys into men" that way. **********
Not surprising. Sounds like they went to book and then were filled in on the true costs. They are thinking $1900, and in reality that's not what they'll be paying. I'm getting the feeling that Milo is bugging the heck out of her husband, in the hopes that she can wear him down. And even if he does finally give in, what happens when he finds out that it's going to cost him WAY more than he thought? I would never waste that kind of money on something so self-indulgent. This is not a trip that would benefit or be enjoyed by the family. I'd rather do something we will all enjoy.
The "making memories" talk is starting to get on my nerves. First she used it with the kids, and now she's using it in the tweeties. These people will have memories no matter what. Does she think they'll end up with no recollection whatsoever of past event if they don't go on these trips? With the kids, I think she's afraid that they will have childhood memories that don't center around HER and all the elaborate things she (actually, TLC) arranged for them. Does she think her new patio means they won't remember pizza with dad? The expensive trips will cancel out going to an arcade with him? And now it's the tweeties who have to make memories with her. The ones who can afford it, that is.

Marie said... 100

I think I honestly feel my skin crawl with reading Milo's writing. Something just does not feel right, you know? And I mean that something as in that frightened feeling you get that tends to linger for hours even after the event has past.

This cruise to me spells disaster either way. The amount of money, the reason for it and so many other things I can't even imagine just yet.

Until I decided on Christmas Market, I had thought of doing a cruise in warm weather. But after looking at cost and the time I feel I would be wasting with getting into something completely new and more off-the-path the more I am glad I changed my mind really. But I've never even heard of Alice Travel. Is it a local one from PA or something small?

A little teasing and joking is usually fine. But there's a fine line between two people who care about each other teasing each other because they love each other, and one person gaining the upper hand and becoming a bully.

I agree, it will teach kids either to cut that person out, or to become a bully themselves. Both of which are sad.

Kate doesn't strike me as the type of person who can handle any kind of teasing period. Have we ever seen her being silly and joking around? NO!

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said... 106

No, Kate doesn't get teasing. The kids tease her and she acts like she didn't even hear it. Kate doesn't tease or joke because narcissists usually have no sense of humor (mine didn't either). When you joke with them, they give you a blank stare or take you literally, or worse, think you're offending them or think they are being "left out" of some kind of inside joke when you were actually trying to include them. When you tease, they take it literally. They can be sarcastic, which is exactly the only level of humor Kate has.

"Narcissists have little sense of humor. They don't get jokes, not even the funny papers or simple riddles, and they don't make jokes, except for sarcastic cracks and the lamest puns. This is because, lacking empathy, they don't get the context and affect of words or actions, and jokes, humor, comedy depend entirely on context and affect. They specialize in sarcasm about others and mistake it for wit, but, in my experience, narcissists are entirely incapable of irony -- thus, I've been chagrinned more than once to discover that something I'd taken as an intentional pose or humorous put-on was, in fact, something the narcissist was totally serious about."

Agree that there is something weird about MiloandJack. I haven't seen her tweets other than what is posted here, but what I have seen is really odd. Something is off-kilter there.

I can't fathom why Kate would want to engage her. Especially when Kate is so paranoid about people even looking at her when she's out in public (even though Kate is the one causing a commotion, causing others to look at her).

It's weird how Kate deliberately sets it up to cause a ruckus in public and attract attention, but then complains bitterly when people look. Weird how it's ok for millions to watch video of her, or see her in a magazine, but not ok to look at her in person.

This cruise is soooo outside her comfort zone that ya gotta wonder why she would agree to do it. Or how it's set up....bet it's not at all the personal time with Kate that people are thinking it will be. She clearly hates personal contact. I think she's terrified of personal contact, for whatever reason.

Although the cruise sounds like it is very Kate-controlled contact, not the more random contact that there would be elsewhere. Maybe that's they the speeches and book signings work for her. She can control almost every aspect of the contact.

If you think about it, she only tolerates contact if it's her disseminating, not any contact if it's the other way around. Look how she really truly freaked in the Statue of Libery gift shop, and the Yellowstone parking lot. In those instances she had no control over how people were looking at her. (Although what does she expect when she's in a gift shop with a camera crew and boom mikes. Of course people are going to curiously look over.)

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said... 110

Yes, I think the control and regimented aspect of the cruise appeals to her. I think she thinks I can turn things on when I want and turn them off when I don't want it. She won't have to go hide in a utility closet crying this time, she can just cut things off and go back to her luxurious room. This sense of having control over this event makes her feel very at ease. This is why she would never do a sheeple planned event and just show up, no control.

Teasing is passive/aggressive behavior and also a crutch for those who don't know how to socialize in general.

Milo thinks she has a special "in" with Kate because Kate replies to her so often. She'll expect Kate to give her extra special attention on the cruise because of that and because she's now crippled.

The problem here is not only that so many people are disqualified because they simply cannot afford this, but of those who could conceivably afford it, they STILL have to do the calculations in their heads whether this expense is justified.

Just because you can go out there and buy three cars doesn't mean it's justified. Same with this cruise. And I think when a family sits around a table, at the end of the day, most good mommies wouldn't be able to look the family in the eye and justify this. They'd pick a less costly cruise instead that is more all inclusive of the family.

I completely agree that something is off with Milo and how Kate caters tweets to her. Pure speculation but Milo probably "knows how to help Kate" and reads all over the internet and emails Kate negative comments on blogs/internet, etc.. so her highness can address them as she usually does in her tweets/blogs. Unpaid labor. Can not think of any other reason to engage her, as Kate does.

Milo will NOT be going on the crusie, she is either very sick (as she has been saying), husband won't let her, etc... All of this is a ploy to get Kate to respond to her. Honestly, why would Kate cater to Milo like she does, unless she is doing something for her? Typical Kate. She should be ashamed of herself.

Quite frankly, I do believe this cruise is going to be a total bust. There is no way 200 people will sign up for the Kate Cruise, and for those who do, well.... let's just say, I think there are going to be some very disappointed fans. I did like the the Don Knotts reference in pink pants and a cardigan....: )Need I say more?

She really is very Z List now, so twittering with her vs forking up money- two different things.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said... 125

Honestly I think one of the biggest problems besides this being Kate is that they only gave people five months to save for it. Most mediocre people need at least nine months to a year's notice of a big trip. A friend of ours had a destination wedding and made sure to tell everyone fourteen months in advance. Almost everyone could go. But another friend had a whirlwind romance and got married in Jamaica four months later, expecting everyone to come. It just wasn't possible for most people.

It just shows how out of touch she is to think this is even possible for most folks.

Also, it's rude. It's rude to give people such short notice.

Gift of grab said... 126

I think there are actually three sheeple who have signed up. Or at least gone so far as to say they are in the process of booking. One is close to the owner of the other pro-Kate blogs (NOT BM's), and is traveling alone; another is someone who only recently turned up on twitter and says she is bringing her husband and three kids. The "gypsi" person is supposedly bringing all/most of her large family (5 kids), but only signing up for one for the Kate program. This does not include the aforementioned CJ or milo. I suppose it's possible that someone might book and NOT alert Kate to this, but somehow I doubt it. These people are undoubtedly attention-seekers in their own right.

The fact that the travel agency advertised Kate for a "celebrity cruise" with very short notice for payment, at a very bad time of year, during hurricane season says a lot. She is last minute "bait" and not too many will bite.

It looks like bigfan is on another one of her Kate bashing rampages. You just never know which personality is going to show up - the Kate lover or the Kate hater. It reminds me of a scene from the book/movie, Sybil, the girl with 16 personalities, who is in treatment with her psychiatrist:

Dr. Cornelia Wilbur: Vanessa, what's the matter?
Sybil Dorsett: [in a child's voice] I'm NOT Vanessa!
Dr. Cornelia Wilbur: I'm sorry Peggy but you popped out so fast...

Admin, a NickieChapman person has confirmed that she is going, asked Kate for the price of suites. There's been a war going down on Twitter between her and the haters. That's two so far that have announced it on Twitter - gypsi and Nickie. Haters seem to like gypsi, though.

I don't off the top of my head recall Kate teasing her children yet what I have seen is that she wants her kids to be "tough."

My parents were the same way, if you cried you got ignored, if you scraped yourself you washed yourself off and went on about your business. I can even remember one time I needed stitches above my eye because I had got hurt at school, the school nurse freaked out but my mom walked in looked at me and said, "Oh, you're fine, let's go." The nurse's jaw hit the floor. I got the stitches and went back to school the same day.

I guess there is a point for parents being there and gentle with kids, I guess it's good for them, but some parents just want tough kids. Regardless I can to a degree say it doesn't matter if you're tough on your kids or not, it will create issues later in life. Kate's "be a man." mantra strikes me as such. She wants her sons to be manly-men yet turns around and says they'll take care of her in old age.

She might not tease but she as heck sends mixed signals. Something I see she continues to do with fans. In public don't look at her, don't approach her you are rude and a waste of time yet online it's oh so buddy-buddy. Which is why I will not ever see this cruise playing out as she dreams it might.

There most likely are others out there who have also booked, but I would think that the flock would at least show up on Twitter to tell Kate about it, wanting her to acknowledge them by saying, "I'm dying to meet you!" and so forth.
They still have until May to come up with the funds. Bet Kate will be biting her French manicures until then.

There could be hundreds "booked" on the cruise but they drop like flys when it is time to make the final payment. My son & dil are of the you'd better not cry mentality. All that does is teach their kids to stuff their feelings. Setting up for big problems later I would think. Like looking for love elsewhere, not a good scenario when they get to be young teens.

I think it deprives the child of showing ANY emotion, good or "bad". Cuz they never know what they'll be berated for. Sigh. I so hope they can come thru their childhood unscathed. God knows it wasn't a happy one.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said... 137

That's what I'm thinking. When May comes around will they actually be able to not only come up with the money, but will they be WILLING to fork over the money?

Five months is a long time to think about a big purchase like this and it's been proven the longer you think about a big purchase the more likely you are to back out. Plus, Kate has five more months to alienate fans.

Kate could be a motivational speaker -- "How to fleece the sheeple." But she'd better save her talk for after the cruise -- might make the cruising fans angry.

wayward said... 140

I can't even look at the Kate/Milo&Jack tweets anymore because my creep meter is off the charts. So bizarre. This is just a sick and twisted hot mess.

Kate is willing to say whatever she needs to say to get Milo to sign up for the cruise. By lying and implying that it's going to be a big 'ol gurlfriendz slumber party, she hopes to get the rest of the sheeple braintrust to bite as well. With the giftcards, etc, Kate has already groomed them and trained them that to get her personal attention you better be offering to give her something.

I'm calling it right now, Milo is not going on the cruise. But they will both play this game to get what they want out of each other- Kate $$$ and needy Milo- personal attention from Kate.

I'm still reeling by the sheeple brushing off Kate's payday from this Titanic2 excursion by saying "she needs to make a living somehow." What I wish they would realize is that Kate doesn't need this money to put food on the table and a roof over their heads- she's already accomplished this from FIVE years of full-time child exploitation. She doesn't need, she WANTS her cash strapped sheeple to put this cruise on their credit cards and pay for it for the next 4-5 years so she CAN KEEP HER $$HOLLYWOOD STYLE$$ OF LIVING!!!! She is unwilling to downsize any aspect of her blingy lifestyle, so she's asking her sheeple to make sacrifices in their meager budgets and to spend money they don't have. She needs this cruise to work out IMHO so she can pay the private school tuition bill this fall for the 8. She doesn't give a shit if perfect strangers have to take money away from their own children to do this, she never has. I know you guys already know what her scam is, I repeat it because we know the sheeple read here. I truly think that when they have the details of the scam explained thoroughly, in language even they can understand, some of them see the light.

If the cruise goes off, I agree with what everyone has said- she will do 2-3 of the private events and get "sick" for the rest, despite the sheeple paying a non-refundable premium for her worthless time. She will be "so sorry" (noshewont) for getting "sick" and she will promise them that on next year's cruise she will have double the events or some crap like that.

I guess I shouldn't care how they spend their money, but I do. I just don't understand how they can think she's going to actually attend
~all~ the scheduled events and be pleasant, when she could not even finish the camping trip with Sarah Palin. The big disclaimer about no refunds if she doesn't attend the events is there for a reason, sheeples. She still gets paid whether she shows up or not, and you have overpaid by $1,000 or more for nothing, nada, zip.

Katie Cry-duh said... 141

I think the travel agency had to publish single occupancy rate because so many sheeple called hoping that paying for one person = $950. No matter, the demographic that Kate appeals to is minuscule and most people don't have that kind of $ to throw around. Someone like Paula Deen with a larger fan base, many of them foodies, stands a better chance of filling up the allotted rooms. With this being her 5th cruise, she must bring something to the experience. Kate? Hmmm, she'll prance around in full hair and makeup and screech that she does not want to get wet. (Btw, I believe she wears full body makeup to hide her cellulite and doesn't want it to streak).

JoannaNY, theaustinmartin is the kid in St. Louis who has been trying to arrange this. Ever since the cruise was announced, he has been trying to get Katie's attention, asking if she has seen his recent e-mail, which, based on his other comments, is certainly about the erstwhile meet and greet. This started about a week ago--to be fair, he's not as relentless in demanding her attention as some of these idiots (milo) are. But he has asked 3 or 4 times, and so far, she hasn't acknowledged him. SHOCKING, right?

Marie said... 144

I take it even if nobody shows up and they've already paid that small fee to hold the cabin that they won't be getting any of their money back?

I don't see that going over well with people. When your largest fan base is teenage girls, many of them I suspect who think having babies and small children is a cute idea, you know the type who wants to play dress up and be like their idol but none of the responsibilities that go with taking care of another human being. I think this cruise is just set up to fail.

What is Kate going to do after this cruise? Stil work for the CC blog? Somethings got to give eventually.

I couldn't agree more with this. Here is a woman who has a lavish lifestyle, even if she downsized would still have a very nice life, has years and years of big paychecks she could have saved, and she shows no remorse about fleecing decent hard working Americans who probably make under 20-30 bucks an hour and are struggling in this economy.

Here's the difference between Kate and Paula Deen or anyone else that has a cruise. No one else makes you feel like if you don't help her make this money she won't be able to feed her kids. Of course we don't fall for this, but so many others sadly do. It's a S-C-A-M.

I, for one, don't think for a minute that Kate doesn't have the money to pay the kids' fall tuition. It's just a matter of her loosening those purse strings and digging into the principle of the money she has stashed away. Of course, if she does that, her principle will eventually run out and at some point, she'll have to say bye-bye to her pseudo-rich life style, and she'll be back to being mediocre, like the rest of us.

We thought that meant this weekend was Jon's, but then Khate tweeted she had the kids on Friday night. Maybe she kept them one extra night and he took them on Saturday instead of Friday night because they'll be staying with him tonight, since they don't have school tomorrow?

We all know that Khate is so full of crap. After tweeting last summer that a DAY at Hershey "costs too much" and that gymnastics was too expensive, I highly doubt she'd ever spring for riding lessons. It's not only a financial commitment, (mostly the lessons, but also clothing, boots, helmet, etc.), but a time commitment, on both the child's part and the parents. You don't just sign up for ten or twelve weeks and that's it. Plus, the parents have to spend many long hours driving the kids there, and watching their lessons and waiting around. At least, that's what I do, been doing it since kindergarten!

I'm sure Mady (and many some of the other kids) have been wanting to do it not only since their trip last year, but also because they know kids at school that ride. I guess Khate just tells them she travels too much for her "career" to be bothered looking into lessons for them, let alone paying for it and taking them there.

Kate needs to get herself to the camp fair, and check out the summer camps for the girls who love to ride. There's a wonderful camp where many kids go from school - in Virginia, horseback riding, for ages 6 to 17. It's a beautiful place, away from everything (literally) where all of the girls would have a fantastic time, either for a few weeks or for the entire summer. Horses, horses, horses, riding lessons, trail rides - everything they would enjoy. However, it does cost more than a day at Hersheypark, so maybe she wouldn't be interested.

Ingrid said... 181

Of course there are horseback riding camps. They are EVERYWHERE. It is not a matter of camps not existing, it's a matter of Kate not spending money on anyone but herself.

I went to horseback riding camp for a week and loved it. There is a golden time in a girl's life where horses are just the best thing in the world to them. It won't be as fun for them as they get older as it will right now.

Oh and I took gymnastics too, Kate. We weren't rich, so suck it!

Tamara said... 184

Ingrid, I agree. I think control over the kids is 75% of the reason she'd never let them go to camp. Next is money, followed by the kids getting more attention than she would. Maybe Jon could send them? I know he has precious little time with them, but if the kids were split they would get not only a great childhood experience, but more one-on-one time with Daddy.

Realest reality-TV show there is. We are living our real lives whether cameras are there or not.

Of which she said when TLC was filming, to this

Things will change how we do this, I will be lucky enough to get them to a local beach in the summer. We will still take vacations just not as many.

With TLC she could afford trips to Chocolate World, Crayola Factory, took one of the kids ride on a pony.

Didn't she enroll the kids into gymnastics class when on TLC? I really like to understand why, if they *all* loved it so much, doesn't enrollment mean they are in it for a year or so? But they never returned, it wasn't apart of their daily lives and now she cannot afford to do it.

Case in point, Kate is a liar, a manipulator, a whiner, down right the most negative person I have ever seen. She talks down to people, she is the bully, she is arrogant, demanding, rude, entitled, vindictive, thoughtless, forgetful, non-appreciative poor little rich lady who will never in her own eyes have enough even when it's right in front of her.

If Kate was actually friendly to people she met I'm sure she could easily find someone with horses who would happily let a couple of hte kids come ride now and then for FREE. I have a friend whose son is obsessed with horses. Two years old and can tell you different types of horses. So a friend of a friend sent her a message on Facebook saying hey we live on a farm have 2 horses that are great with my kids, feel free to bring your son by whenever if he wants to see them. Now that would never happen to Kate bc she has no friends.

Kate's tweet: @ws1018 oh not good. I got your email. Don't think I have that kind of power... Will try to do what I can to help tho

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Anyone know what this is all about? What does this sheeple want Kate to do? I saw that she's been tweeting everyone and his brother about Lupus awareness - Dr. Oz, Dr. Phil, getting rather beligerent about it. Does she think Kate can find a cure, or help her find a way to go on the cruise?

Hey Layla, I think MinnyZiggy is highly questionable, since her very existence is in doubt. Even if she does exist, it has become pretty clear that it is Ziggy herself who is pretending to be Minny on Twitter.

She is one twisted sister.
********
Say what? So, this woman may have made up having a daughter? Why? And I thought I'd seen it all. What's the point? Wow, those Sheeple are nuttier than fruitcake, aren't they?

Virginia Pen Mom, I think it's the same Peggy 'cause the room she describes booking is the same for both. Unless 2 differnet Peggys booked identical D3 ocean view balcony rooms, then it's the same person.
*********
Come to think of it, they have talked about this "Minny" going, but no details on contacting the travel agency, putting down a deposit, choosing a room, etc. So, who knows? Let's put her on the "May not even exist" list, just to make this all just a little more surreal.

When KT was doing her out see how rich I am but do take donations Christmas and mentioned the totally unexpected huge last minute surprise (see what a good mummy I am), I actually for a fleeting moment thought it might be a horse. I don't know what came over me.

The sugary tweets are getting ridiculous and so not KT. She must be exhausted from the effort to be so upbeat.

We saw Tony dragging her across the floor and actually trying to hold her arms up, that was the real KT, the exhausted negative one.

Has anyone read anything further on the capsized cruise ship? It is completely submerged by now...are they planning on towing it back to shore, or just letting it sink? The cruise line has one mess on its hands, I'm afraid. I wonder how much of a hit Carnival stock is going to take.

Pity Party, I busted out laughing at your post, thinking for a moment it might be a horse for the HUGE SURPRISE!!!!! And it turned out to be a $2 dollar beta fish, put into a bowl she already had. I can only imagine what you thought when you heard that! Haha....

The deposit and signed contract for the next year is due in the spring. She can choose to pay all in one lump sum, or by the month. I would think that somehow, some way she will be able to come up with the monthly payment. She certainly has enough in reserve, at least for now. Other tuition plans, too, are available. She'll figure it out, come hell or high water.
***************
She will sell her soul to make the tuition payments for them, because she realizes that if she doesn't, then we all will know she's hurting for money. NO WAY her pride is going to let that happen.
That said, she'll let the kids' school go before she'll let go of that house, and that's a shame, because a good education is so important to their futures. A house, on the other hand, is essentially just a building, and their futures won't be much affected (if at all) by the size of the house they grew up in.
She'll go all the way to bankruptcy court with a steely smile, insisting that all is well, before she'll admit defeat

Pity Party said... 193

It was huge let down and she for some unknown reason felt the need to share the fact that the bowl was free. Oh well had to get those flowers as a thank you from a dear friend in there somehow.

PJ's momma said... 194

Pity Party........exactly. She even made a cheap fish about herself. Love how she also posted a picture of ALL the kids gazing at that sad little fish, like she was super-mommy or something. We used to have a large aquarium. Japanese fighting fish are beautiful but extremely boring. They feel secure in one spot and they tend to stay there, which is why they're kept in such small bowls. Plus you can only have one. Mother of the year, that one!

BY the way no one mentioned this but earlier Kate had a tweet in reply to someone who tweeted her that her great aunt just died.

You would think Kate could at least just manage to say oh so sorry if you need anything let me know.

What does Kate say??? MY great aunt just died!

WTF! Could it get anymore narcissistic. Good Lord, the sheeple can't even have a relative die without Kate turning it around about her.

PJ's momma said... 196

Admin, I saw that. She followed up with another saying it was her last link to her grandma. This was one of Kate's biggest tweeties too. Kate could be my sister-in-law. Her favorite words are, "I know JUST how you feel because I or me or my........insert whatever here." My husband had a tumor and on the day of his surgery, she sent an email, where she said I, me or my 14 times! In a 2-paragraph e-mail! "To the patient, I know just how you feel because I too have had surgery. To you, his wife, I know how you feel because I too have been the spouse in the waiting room." And on and on. If I could have reached through the cable to choke her, I would have. She probably loves Kate.

I noticed that too. You know if someone told her that their next door neighbor's cousins' best friends' sister in law's uncle fell off the diving board seven years ago and broke their leg in four places Kate would make it about her. Fekkin narcissist.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said... 199

Kate is just like those people where they only ask how are you so that you will ask "how are you' and then they can launch into a big long story about me, me, me whatever is going on with them that's tragical. Usually illness, a family member or close friend's illness, or sometimes a divorce or some close friend's divorce.

AuntieAnn said... 200

She did that when she was interviewing for ET. She just couldn't let anything be about anyone but herself.
