(Kate seems to be stuck in the past, constantly reliving filmed vacations, episodes, and creating new "episodes" in her head which she then plays out on Twitter and her blog for her fans.)

Neither the cost nor the the quality of my child's school have anything directly to do with Kate's contracts.
I was snarking (ineffectively, it seems) on her equating putting her 8, count 'em, 8 children into a school she can't afford with elevating herself to a level above all others. A school she chose, not because it was best-suited to her children's needs, but because she believed enrolling them assured her a certain social status.
There will always be people richer, more sensible, more responsible, and more careful with money than you are, no matter WHO you are. That is especially true if your name is Kate Gosselin.
I'm just a mediocre reader of this blog, yet I was able to put my child all the way through private school, a[n academically] better, more expensive school, because I wasn't blowing money on stupid luxuries, extra, unnecessary vehicles, or a too-large house and grounds that required massive upkeep.
Kate has failed to buy everything she thought money would bring her. Her narcissistic dreams are crashing all around her, and her children will pay for that, just as they have paid for her years of self-indulgence.
My question about HER contracts was because, if they are due in March, as mine were, it is one more potential reason for the apparent panic and meltdown she's been displaying on Twitter during these past few days.
As Admin has noted, it's all about the money for Kate. It will be a devastating blow for Kate if she can't keep those children in their better-than-everyone-else-Kate-can-imagine-private-school. If she doesn't have the money to renew those contracts, she's going to be feeling some real pain.
Not pain for those poor children, mind. Pain for poor Kate, who just might look mediocre, even though SHE know that she's anything but.

I do not believe for a minute that Khate has used her $ up or the kids' trust funds YET. IMO two reasons why Khate may be PO'd:
1) Assumption: TLC put $ directly into trust account for kids 15% owed them and that both parents (Jon & Khate) must sign off/agree to use any money from the kids' trust account (or let judge decide if conflict). Khate wanted to use the trust money to pay school tuition, medical/dental expenses not covered by ins. & mortgage cause "its for the kids" & she shouldn't have to pay for it out of her own $5 million she earned! Jon (and judge) said NO -- the kids can go to public school, she can downsize her home to what she can afford, and any med./dental expenses not covered by ins. will be shared by both of them. It's not the kids responsibility to provide these things for themselves.
2) Purseboy is no longer being paid by TLC or any others she tries to con for her little jaunts (his high salary, hotel accom., plane tickets, etc.). He told her that its strictly business for him & if she wants him to accompany her in the future as her bodyguard/road manager she must pay for his services herself and she feels hurt & betrayed by "her friend". Boo hoo --- IMO

What I received today I thought I would pass along to you folks so you can see what industry professionals have to say about reputation. You want a Casting Director, or any industry professional, to be a fan of yours. Surely, you’ve heard the concept of having the goal to “win over the office” in an audition, versus booking the job. I couldn’t support this notion more. When a casting office is enamored with you, they will call you in again and again. You’ll book a job sooner or later. In Laurie lingo… I say that I’m a “fan” of various actors. I’ve had the luxury/honor of letting a few actors know from time to time when I’m not behind in a session and feel so inspired. The usual response is disbelief or confusion. I’m not sure if the response comes from not knowing a Casting Director could be a fan, or if it’s because it’s me… not knowing I’ve been watching their work since my casting associate days (yes, folks… that’s why you should be lovely to all folks ALL the time… the pee-ons become big dogs at some point). They don’t know me, but I know them. Who knows and who cares why I get the response I get. The important piece of information is that Casting Directors can be (and are, hopefully) fans of yours. If they aren’t already, how can you go about making them fans?

I'm not an expert of trust money. So just a few questions. I'm assuming it's different from s savings account.
How to they work? Is a trust just for emergencies or for life after you turn 18, 25 or whatever age?
Why would the parents have any access to it other than to put money in? If it's a trust I see no good coming from it if money is constantly taken out.
If the kids only have %15 divided amongst themselves...is that going to leave a lot? Or just the bare minimum?
It won't be the end of the world if Kate has to put her kids in public school. For her maybe but not the world.
Mel 197, when I first saw the pic of the three kids in front of laptops, I thought something looked hinky about it. Two of the kids looked like they were a bit confused/amused by the whole thing. They looked like kids who aren't ever normally in front of a laptop. And why was the room dark?

Right on point. A lot of folks wonder why Kate isn't called out for anything when she does these "interviews" and other appearances. It's simply that most of the shows she goes on are coffee-clatch fluff shows. (The View, Regis & Kelly, Dr Drew? Please! They aren't breaking any records for investigative journalism.
But you better believe that the hosts of those shows, and the producers of those shows, and every one who works on those shows, and EVERYONE in the business who knows those people are fully aware of her demanding nature, sense of entitlement, and general negative attitude.
That's the sole reason why she is not working in this business. She has already basically blacklisted herself through her past words and deeds.

It can be set up 1000 different ways. Which is why we're so in the dark about whatever this alleged trust says, it's anyone's guess. There are good ones and crappy ones. Given the history of this saga I'm guessing this trust is a crappy one. There are revocable and irrevocable trusts, who even knows what kind they have.
I had to take an ENTIRE SEMESTER of wills and trusts and that was only just a basic starter course in it. It's COMPLICATED.

I guess we'll know when the May trip comes around whether Steve is still part of the picture or not. Does she have a trip before then? The freebies that Kate has received really gets me. And the fact that she does not give back to her community for all that they have done for her and her family piss me off more than anything.
Because I plug a lot of hotels, vacations spots, bars, casinos, clubs, stuff like that for the travel writing I do, I'm constantly on the receiving end of accommodations. It could be a weekend stay, a gift card to a restaurant, sometimes it's just a tee-shirt. I don't need these things really, typically because I have a job and need to work and can't go to a hotel across the country. Don't get me wrong, I always write a thank you letter, and it is always much appreciated.
What I usually do however is give the big things to someone in need. A family whose mom or dad just got back from servings overseas, perhaps. My girlfriend works for a non-profit, and sometimes we'll use these gifts in a raffle to raise money for her charity (with their permission of course).
I never look at these gifts as "Oh! Free crap!" ya know? I want to help people. I think most people would actually. It surprises me that Kate STILL grifts, after doing it for so long, and that she does this to regular people, who are feeling the weight of the economy, looking for expensive tech-gear. Laptops? I-Pads? Even I had to get my own laptop to write my articles and when I begged for an I-Pad, my boss laughed at me.

The hosts then said, we can tell what you make by the type of car you drive.
She said she drives a 'Sprinter' Van. Oh, and an SUV. Oh and she has a 'used car' but then had to name drop it as the Audi TT that can fit two carts of groceries in it.
I just went to their facebook page and asked them to ask Kate 1. If steve still works for her and why she feels the need for a bodyguard when many more high profile entertainers don't. 2. Why when people on twitter offer to send her things she doesn't politely refuse and suggest the items be donated to charity.
She actually quoted the guy from twitter yesterday that pissed her off - she said people say "with all your money" and how mad that makes her. She said, during the early years (I think), they made no where near what people say they made. They asked her what kind of cars she drive because that will indicate how much money she has - of course she started with the BBB, then mentioned she had an SUV and a "tiny car" for when it's her. She did then say that it's Audi. The hosts did just replied that she needed an SUV because she has so many kids.
Then the "I can't believe she said that" moment - the hosts mentioned that there were times when the kids broke down on camera and didn't want to film anymore. Kate said she has no recollections of that every happening!!
Finally, she said that she was much more controlling when it was just the twins but the 6 have actually calmed her down because she realizes she can't control everything. She also said that she always wanted the twins to wear matching clothes but she realized with the tups that that wasn't practical so she didn't/doesn't do that now.
Now they're talking about Taylor Swift - great opportunity for Kate to throw out how good friends they are.
I'm still scratching my head over the pix Kate posted two days ago, wasn't it, and now has since disappeared from her twitter. So has the tweets saying s/he didn't like hearing her complaining about not having enough then her trying to backtrack it by saying she was just marveling at the sight! Fishy. I also agree that the pix was staged..no schoolwork & pencils in sight and background was very dark which suggests this probably took place after dinner. A comment or two usually isn't enough for her to try and cover up something. She thought she could use the kids to grift for more laptops? TSK; TACKY, TACKY. It also doesn't sense with the timeline she has given on the after school schedule. It was said somewhere that she said homework was from 6:30 to 8 but then said they were in bed by 7:30. So which one is it? She never said what time dinner was served, I think but she also has admitted to going for a run after the kids get home from school. So who's supervising dinner and schoolwork if she went for a run and how does that work into the schedule? Don't forget the many bus pickups too! I sure loved her snap back comment to the guy. I enjoy listening to Molly and Christine on broadminded. Could not listen today, dh and I carpooled and he refuses to listen to talk radio of any kind. It will be interesting to hear what they say next week about ” Kate gossing” and they will talk about her.
Last month they had an interview with Sam Witwer who plays Aiden three vampire on syfy network Being Human. They asked him about how he got his first TV role. He was walking down street in LA on way to an audition carrying his head shots, when he saw a woman crossing the street drop things she was carrying. He went into the street to help her pick up her stuff. She thanked him then asked if he was an actor, she saw the photos he was carrying. She was a casting director for ER which was top show at the time, she asked him to audition for her, and he got his first TV role! The broadminded hosts loved this story, that it showed if you are nice to people good things will happen to you.

I thought Kate did sound very upbeat sometimes funny, and did an overall great job. BUT she lied throughout it all.
1)She said that either Mady or Cara (can't remember which one) would probably kill her and then started talking about them being in bras and shopping for them. Later on when a caller confronted her on that very subject, Kate said that her kids don't care about her talking about them and their bras.
2)She said several times that she has no idea why she is so confrontational. What a liar, of course she knows why. It is because she is exploiting and "using" her kids. Her kids made her a multi-millionaire.
3)On their first or second Discovery special Kate stated that she worked every other Satuday under 12 hours at a time. Well today, she stated she worked 16 hour shifts EVERY Saturday for an entire year. Liar!!
4)They asked her if Jon and she could afford more kids especially since there was a great possiblity that it could have been more than one and she said yes. Nothing was said how they were on Medicaid for an entire year. Or how they went to court to ask Medicaid to continue to pay for another year for their LPN (nurse) at a cost of $25,000 when they had $100,000 in equity (per Kate) in their home. No mention that Jon was without a job for most of the first year of the tups lives.
5)Kate admitted she had a "closet full of jean".
6)Kate said, "a lot of people would say my kids would need to get away from me". How stupid and telling of her.
7)Kate "knows" Taylor Swift and Kate "knows" her mother. They asked her to call Taylor's mother and Kate said no. She made it sound like she personally is family friends with them when in fact she only met them with backstage passes like thousands and thousands of others thru the years.
8)Kate admitted she treated Jon harshly and was hard on him BUT most of the work fell on her. Liar! We saw you did all the work around their home.
9)Kate never mentions she is a born again evangelical christian only that she is conservative raised in a christian school. She plays both sides of the fence. When she needed money they went to church to grift and give talks about God. Now that she wants a secular job in the media, she plays a different person.
10) And best of all, Kate said that she talked with Cara and Mady about their periods and what to expect. She said Mady was pretending to read her book but Kate knew she was listening.
11) And as said above, she said it makes her so mad that people think she earned so much. She said to take several of those zero's off of what everyone thinks they made. I believe TV Guide and it makes perfect sense considering the hundred of millions TLC made off the Gosselins through the years.
And if she isn't rich, then why the hell has she been unemployed for the past 6 months. Really, which way does she want it. Very rich and therefore no need to find a job. Or needs money and hasn't worked for the past 6 months with 8 kids. She can't have it both ways.

Sooverit, our dog most definitely does watch TV. There could be a tiny image of a horse in a scene for 5 seconds and she'll see it and fly off the couch. Animal Planet sends her over the edge; we don't go there. I have never seen anything like it. She'll watch youtube videos, pictures scrolling across a computer screen, etc. My husband skypes us when he's gone and she really thinks it's him. She'll run behind the computer because she thinks he's back there. Sometimes she sits on the desk, just waiting for him to come back. This is all very funny and very cute......except that she attacks all furry mammals, even animated ones! She hates the Snuggle bear! She doesn't like those cartoon bears in the Charmin commercials either. She's crazy. We haven't had her a year, still learning.

I don't think that she realizes that she's yesterday's news and even if she were to get a job in radio she would not be paid anywhere near the amount that she got from TLC. Unless you're a Howard Stern, an Imus or a Ryan Seacrest, radio pay is pretty low. She'd make more as a nurse. It doesn't sound like TV producers are beating a path to her door to offer her a job either.

He is exec vice president of a security consulting firm. Does he own it? Is it a corporation? Is he a partner? What percentage of the firm's income goes to him? Is it owned by an investment group? I can't imagine that he would be working for her, pro bono, when he could be out there generating income for the company by being paid by another client. It seems like such a strange arrangement if it's true that he is not being paid.
