Jon's Twitter account goes public

After nearly three years of being bashed in the public by Kate, Jon finally decided he wants a voice. When asked for updates on the kids, he tweeted:

Jon Gosselin ‏ @jongosselin1
there is nothing to tell, so dont follow me. they had enough over the last 6 years.go ask the other parent im not saying sh*t

And when asked what his biggest regret was he said:

Jon Gosselin ‏ @jongosselin1
Trusting in others with out knowing the ramifications and outcomes that came with other peoples plans for me, whoops

Stay strong, Jon. For the kids.

It's no BFD when they attack the haters who deserve it but this is different.
How far WILL they go? One of the fans is off her meds again and was tweeting nonstop. There are some nutjobs out there.

Classic Kate this morning. She certainly is tone deaf. She posted a pic of three of the tups working at laptops in the kitchen, and then there was this exchange:

Kate Gosselin
@XXXXXXX ...&far less kids 2! Wasn't complaining.. Was marveling @ another growing up milestone,read my tweets thru + lenses,not neg 1s!

Someone (an admirer, no less) comments that she has so much more than others, and all she can say is that others have fewer (um, it's not "less" when you're talking about kids, Kate) children! Would it be so difficult to acknowledge her many blessings, her upper-class life-style that enables her to have a computer for every two kids (perhaps more?), and express her gratitude for same? No, not Kate. Whenever I think I might be feeling somewhat sympathetic towards her, she always confirms my gut reaction: OMG, what a despicable human being.

She's not sucking on lemons because of any fan...for sure it was something major(at least in her mind). She talks about being "hurt". This is a business to her and her kids are her only way to make a buck. She just doesn't get it...poor sick bastard.

Berks Neighbor said...

Didn't she get a bunch of iPads from someone recently? She is completely pathetic. We had ONE computer in our family for years. There were days we would all head to the public library to use their computers and get our homework done.
She lives in a huge house, has 3 cars, and can travel to NYC to get her hair done and eat fish wrapped in paper...but she has to complain that she still doesn't have enough via twitter.
Someone pass the puke-bucket.

The problem isn't the lack of lap tops, Kate just wants six new ones that match; just like the cribs.

So they have at least three computers in the house, which means it's just a matter of time (if it hasn't happened already) until the kids can read the news stories, blogs, social media sites, see the You Tube videos. I doubt Kate's smart enough to put in site blocks, maybe Jon did. But it's gonna happen, sooner rather than later!

What happened to the iPads Kate grifted? Did she ever acknowledge they were received?

Localyocul, I was thinking the same thing. Every post about Shoka has her/him (?) "ears pressed back" Dogs do that when they are afraid or think they're in trouble! And how much does it cost her to have the groomer pick up the dog with his "suv" (ugh!) Just remember back to the Teutel(sp?) episode the major freakout she had when the dogs were sniffing around the food-BANISHED TO THE DOGHOUSE! How about when the "kids" KIDS! were training the pups and they peed on the floor? Yes Khate, Shoka is an AMAZING dog, I'm AMAZED at his love and loyalty to you! I'm AMAZED he/she hasn't lunged at your wrinkly throat!

Three new lap tops - only the best will do. Oh and printers too. Dip into savings and cough them up, NOW, please.

Here's a thought - buy them yourself. You certainly APPEAR to have the money.

Who could scrounge around their house and find 3 laptops. What were they in the sofa cushions?

I despise her more and more every day. Thank you Twitter for confirming (and then some) every bad thought I ever had about this woman.

Kat said...

grifter city said...

Kate has so many laptops that she didn't even know where they were. She had to "scrounge" around to find them.

And yet, she still doesn't have enough.

Take a hint from SG, Kate, and skip a few tanning sessions. You'll be able to buy all the laptops your heart desires. With your CHILDREN'S earnings, of course.

She gets more sickening by the minute.

I was thinking, the lemons thing might just be connected to the cruise. We all know she hasn't had much real interest. (The person who tweeted last night that she can't wait to meet her on the cruise turned out to be lying. Kate was all enthused in her response until a fan told her about it.)

As for re-tweeting compliments, I follow about 50-60 celebrities/public figures on Twitter (NONE of them are Kate!) and not a single one has ever retweeted a compliment. Or a criticism, for that matter (they occasionally get a nutter here and there and just ignore them). In fact, for the most part they really don't interact with their followers.

And yep, she's grifting for laptops. I also wondered what happened to the iPads (I bet she sold them). This is yet another thing she didn't think about when she was determined to have so many kids. Think I should tell her about the graphing calculators they'll need later? They won't be able to share those and they are quite expensive. If she's still on twitter then, she'll beg for them.

How horrible to have to go through life like a shameless beggar just to keep HER fancy lifestyle and not have to sacrifice anything to get the kids what they need!

Oh, someone here asked recently about her money, expenses, etc. A person local to her once figured out she needs approximately $350,000 a year to meet all her expenses. With the payment and upkeep on the house and land, private school tuition, and allllllllll the other bills she can't pay with grifted Coffeemate, that does sound about right. If she had about $5 million socked away when TLC canned her last August/September, that generates interest income, but not $350K worth. She'd be short about a third of that amount and that's before taxes.

So it's a pretty good bet she's been dipping into the principal in her savings in order to meet expenses, and that further reduces her interest income, which will cause her (and has already probably caused this) to dip into it even more. If she doesn't significantly reduce her expenses, and quickly, she'll run out of savings at some point. She's probably thinking big money jobs are going to roll her way ANY day now! Or she was most likely hoping the cruise would generate enough income for her to not touch her savings for a while.

The fact that her cruise has gotten such a small, lukewarm response from most of her fans has surely put a huge kink in THOSE plans!

I keep getting a giggle out the comment 'scrounging around' laptops, and you guys' replies of finding them in the couch cushions- too funny!

My dog was afraid to get in the car, too, but she is a toy breed and I drive an SUV, so I am sure it was very intimidating for the pup. I dont know why Shoka would be afraid, but given his master, he could have a nervous temperament. Who could blame the poor guy?

The house is dark except where the kids are doing their homework. Turn some lights on woman! I get the feeling the kids are struggling with the academics at the high achievement school. Many dogs have anxiety in a car. The thing is, there are ways to address it, such as taking the dog for short rides to go for lovely walks or to a dog park. Maybe even take Shoka into town for different sights and smells, not to mention reinforcing training.
If the only thing the dog associates a vehicle with is grooming (which some dogs don't mind, but it ain't playing!) and the vet, well then, no wonder the dog would get nervous if car= something not fun.
Instead of just observing Shoka be nervous, Kate should do something about it, especially since she's at home with him and has the time to do the work.

Dallas Lady, re iPads, Linda Foerrester claimed to have sent her 5. On Twitter Kate denied knowing Linda, also denied having received any iPads from her, and implored her to stop saying these things.

Just a week or so later, I read somewhere that Kate was selling some iPads on eBay; I thought this story was ridiculous. But a few days after that, a young man in college (at least according to his profile) tweeted to his father that he had just got a good deal on an iPad on eBay from someone named Kate Goseelin. Since this kid hadn't heard of her, and according to his past tweets he'd never mentioned her before, the story seemed credible. He's never mentioned her since.

We'll never know the truth, of course, but it doesn't sound too far-fetched considering what we have been hearing about Kate all these years. Her greed for material things seems boundless.

We've bought a couple new laptops this year. Each have top of the line specs and cost us under $400. She could easily afford a few if she really needed them.

I am wondering why Kate says that 'she' can't do 6 homework assignments in an hour. Does she understand that she is not supposed to be doing the homework? How does she think a teacher can direct a class of 25 kids to do their work if Kate can't direct 6? She's such an idiot.

Whyohwhy, yes you need a notarized letter usually but if two parents can't agree on vacations you have to have a judge decide. Then you could show the court minute order at the ship if they have questions that proves you are allowed to have them.

I don't normally share what sources say because I can't verify them, but this one I've been able to verify. I wish I could share more details how but it would give them away. My source told me that Jon was told by the judge if HE wanted to take the twins on vacation that the judge would be fine with that too. That is what the judge thought fair, Kate is allowed a vacation and Jon is allowed a vacation. Having worked in family law, I have to say this sounds exactly like what a lot of judges would do. Sure Kate you can go on vacation but you also have to give Jon a chance to go on vacation too.

I hope he will come up with something fun and fan and camera free for them earlier in the summer.

Mel said...

I think she does not have a good command of the English language.

"Accidentally make u stronger" should be "inadvertently make u stronger". Bad choice of adverb. Look that word up, Kate.

"Scrounge" is not a good choice of verb because it implies cadge, mooch, hunt for, search madly for, look high and low for (if you're so organized, why aren't they always in a consistent, safe place?), ransack, scavenge, forage.

Where have we heard forage before? Ah! On the RV trip! She said she, and she alone, (apparently the others were too incompetent to do it) had to "forage for food".

Again, an odd choice of verb. Forage implies looking for a scarce item, rummage, scour, scrounge, hunt for, be on the lookout for, look high and low for.

It's hard to fathom that she really had to forage. They had two frig's in the rv's crammed with food (according to Ashley), and there was the pizza place near the campground, and surely they must have passed a few grocery stores on the way in. She could have bought food when they filled up with gas.

It's hard to think what she meant there....food Steve would eat? Food she knew how to cook? It's such an odd word to use in that context that you can't even tell what she meant.

Ya gotta wonder what her grades were in other subjects if English was her best subject...

I'm thinking we're not talking valedictorian here.

Dramatic! I doubt napkins have anything to do with salaries. I trust a fast food joint can handle their napkin problem. All they have to do if they have a problem is put the napkins behind the counter, give you a few to start and make you ask for more if you want it. People are far more likely not to take more than their fair share if they have to ask for them. And if there is a spill or something or a legitimate reason, they can get extra.

If I'm not mistaken Five Guys does this as do others.

My kids learned computer skills at school and had the odd assignment starting in maybe G 4...

Knows Quality said...

I had to chime in today...

Hubby and I have a blended family of seven kids. Granted, it's not the magical EIGHT, but it's pretty darn close.

When the kids were younger (most are married & moved on & moved out - woot!), we had ONE computer. These were the days before laptops, and so we had a SINGLE family computer that was shared by everyone...and it was on DIAL-UP internet - horrors!

I'm not sure how we survived, but we did...and the kids managed to share the ONE computer to get their homework done. They had no choice; this was the way it was.

It's become evident, especially after seeing Kate's kids on some of the TV episodes, that part of the problem may be that her kids don't do well with sharing. She has entitled them so much over the years that they expect to have sole ownership of something (hmmmm...wonder where they get THAT idea from? Apples don't fall too far from the tree....). She thinks she needs more laptops because frankly, it would be more peaceful in her house. She created the problem - she can now fix it.

(I still want to know what kind of 2nd-grade math has to be done on a computer??!!)

We know this, right? But do we blather on here about what great doggie mommas we are, or how much our dogs LUUUUUUUURRRRRV us? No. Mostly we talk about how happy our dogs make US. It's all about them.
I think Kate has this sort of learned helplessness after so many years of having film crews, producers and hired help to do things for her. She's bragging on about how mush Shoka loves her, but has never been seen taking her dog for a walk and doesn't realize that continued training is often needed for a dog's lifetime.
Grow up Kate and stop writing these childish, silly Shoka blogs and speak and act like an adult and address your dog's needs instead of trying to make some cutesy dog blog about Shoka being nervous.
Do something about it.
It's like her *coffee is expensive!!!* CC blog. Keurigs can add up with one-time use K-cups. We know this. We also know that coffee comes in huge cans and is cheap and you can use said coffee with reusable K-cups. Coffee makers are cheap. Go cups have been around for... Ya know, I don't know why I am surprised at the grifting this morning, this is exactly what she is known for.
I think I am simply appalled at her constant greediness.
This woman's brand is ocd and organization...yet she proves she is anything but that. A TRUE ocd person has everything in order, ALL THE TIME..I've seen pics of her messy laundry room, shoes in the foyer strewn around, and that garage is a sight to behold.
She does a disservice to those that truly suffer from ocd. In her little brain she probably thinks she is organized, but my goodness,she is far from it.

There's been so much talk about what kind of income they were making from the show, and what she has now. But, don't forget that due to the divorce, Jon got a serious cut of what assets they had. They had to have had some serious money in the bank, they both were buying new pricey cars and appearing not to do without.
It still ceases to amaze me how Kate has a limitless budget for her needs, yet when the kids are concerned it's budget, budget, budget.

Yep, Dallas Lady, I guess Kate will grift for those upcoming graphing calculators (I've bought four), and how about cars for the kiddos?
I predict by the time the kids are ready for college, the money will be GONE, and they will probably get a free ride to a public school due to financial aid and their large family. If that's the case, well, I guess I would consider it what these kids are owed for working since before birth and being put out for public display.

I just found out that our Comcast cable has "Pioneer Woman" on the on-demand channels! What a great show!!!

I have heard of pioneerwoman.com (?) (her blog) and that folks have raved about her blog being full of good things. But I didn't know she has a show.

Just looked at one episode - she is "sort of" a pioneer ranch Martha Stewart if you will. She does recipes, helpful hints, etc. She and her family live on a ranch somewhere out west.

Her family was on the show but I don't 'think' I'd classify the show as a reality show.

It is offered on the Food Channel here on Comcast but I've never seen it on the regular line-up nor watched it before.

Is it possible that Comcast shows it ONLY on the on-demand feature?

Anyone else ever see this show? I really liked it alot. Her name is Ree Drummond, she has several kids (4 I think) and during this episode I watched they went to the tack store in Tulsa to get chaps for the girls (they live on a real, real ranch) and a cowboy hat for the boy. A real cowboy hat, not a costume one.

She was doing a couple of recipes like Rachel Ray or Martha do. They seem to be active in their church - recipes were for potluck.

I did notice that she had fancy fridge with panelled door, so I think they must have some money.

Anyhoo, if kart is trying to be like this family, she has fallen way, way, way short of the mark. She could use pioneer woman as a model!

Kate Gosselin ‏ @Kateplusmy8
@SandieBellz oh crap! That sucks,huh?We coulda used ur old laptops but lotsa others can 2 I guess! Thanks for thought! Good of u 2 donate!

&&&&

"OH CRAP" IT "SUCKS" that other ACTUALLY NEEDY people got the laptops!

You "guess" others could use them Kate? As she sits in her mansion and takes pictures of no less than three laptops including a $1500 macbook pro. MY GOD.

Unbelievable.

Between the comments regarding the donated laptops, and now blocking the fan who dared to tell her to use her own money for vacations - Kate is sinking to depths I didn't think possible.

Desperation is in the air, and I believe it's because tomorrow is the LAST day of February - and her world changes forever.

Geesh. Just when you think it can't get any worse....

My niece and newphew are in elementary school and they do not even use the 'LAPTOP' for their schoolwork. They use textbooks, paper, worksheets and writing tools! I think it's BS Kate is feeding about the children needing their own laptops to do 'math' homework. Really what kind of math for 7-years-old children requires a laptop? Please do explain!

That comment re: laptop donation really makes me ill. That person was good to donate, but why on earth do people think Kate is so needy ( truly) like some people are??? I guess as long as people buy into her sob story despite her expenditure on herself, it will go on...

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

No Kate didn't donate any laptops. As if! A fan donated them but then was SORRY she didn't know first about Kate's dire need for more than three laptops. Or what, she wouldn't have donated to the truly needy and would have given to Kate instead??? You bet, according to the tweets. God these people are so DENSE. Kate could sell a thousand umbrellas in the middle of the Sahara desert to her fans.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

I bet she could buy a good quality Dell PC with the money from just one treck to NYC. Hop to it, Kate. Take care of your own dang kids, they are not your fans' responsibility.

I'm guessing there are maybe two or three fans tops that make anywhere near close to the kind of money Kate has made. What's wrong with them???

Kat said...

Oh man...she must be so frustrated with Jon. Kate doesn't want him to have any say in the kids lives. Everyone else she can just cut out of the kids world. But this time it's not that easy. He is their father whether she likes it or not. She must be spitting nails...I don't think she can handle this...she used to getting her way...partys over I guess...

I'm sure Angelina Jolie has some haters out there, I haven't looked but heck maybe there is even a hate site or too. But she is not KNOWN for haters. She's known for being married to Brad Pitt and adopting and occasionally a halfway decent movies.

********************************
That's hardly all she's known for. She's known for kissing her brother, carrying her husband's blood in a vial around her neck, etc., etc. In other words, she's known for being batshit crazy. And since you choose to believe all the tabloid stories about Kate, you might want to do a little Googling about ol' Angelina, as there are some ex-nanny tales that make Kate look like Mother Teresa.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Remember her comment she doesn't understand why someone who doesn't have custody of the kids would have any say?? Uhhhh because he's their FATHER???

How does that work? You father some kids and raise them for five years and see them all the time and financially support them, but your parental rights should be cut off? Would she like a world in which it's just that simple to cut a parent out of a child's life?

Hey Kate, people with terminated parental rights don't pay child support. So maybe you should just go try to do that and see how you like it. She's a bitch, period.

The common denominator here is Kate. It's not Jon, it's not Aunt Jodi, it's not Ashley, it's not the grandparents, it's not Jamie it's not Toni. None of these people have any huge conflicts with others we know about nor did we see any terrible social skills or conflict problems when we saw them on camera--except when it comes to dealing with Kate. It's ALL Kate. Every darn time.

OK, I know who Aunt Jodi is and I'm sorry to ask, but who is Ashley and Jamie and Toni? I guess I have some catching up to do.

aggiemom, you misunderstood that. Someone said THEY donated office laptops and wish they'd known Kate needed them so they could have sent them to her instead. She said, "oh crap! That sucks,huh?We coulda used ur old laptops but lotsa others can 2 I guess! Thanks for thought! Good of u 2 donate!"

Can you imagine the uproar that could have ensued at the office when someone found out they were donated to Kate Gosselin? My husband signs off on stuff like that all the time; he would have put the skids on that one immediately.

One trip to NYC for her hair would more than cover the cost of 1-2 more laptops.

Wendy, Angelina is fairly well liked by the public in general. This is a fact. No one said she was perfect or has a perfect past. But rather that she is well liked. She is a well-liked celebrity by the vast majority of people. Her past is her past. The point being, people have haters for a reason. She doesn't have a significant amount of haters. Unless I'm missing a site like this one about Angelina that goes on about how horrible she is with 700 comments per post? Face the facts, every article about Angelina doesn't start off with how polarizing she is and how much people hate her. But with Kate, they do. Anyway, my point was people have haters for a reason. You are missing the point. They don't just pop up out of nowhere for no reason.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

What an idiot that sheeple is. This is just proof sheeple never rise beyond middle management and haven't a clue.

PJ of course the office would be in an uproar. For write-off reasons alone the laptops need to be donated to a 510c charity and that's not going to be Kate.

If someone criticized me for complaining (whining) about my loss of my free trips, I would take it as just that, someone being CRITICAL of me, not finding the other person NEGATIVE. Rather than allow any self-reflection, she has conveniently divided her life (and all those in it) into positive people, (those embracing everything she says and does 100%), and negative people (anyone who questions her motives).

She has blocked her own family for getting in her way, so blocking these people on Twitter is no big deal. It is heartbreaking to think how many of her relatives could be involved with those kids, they must just cringe with every mindless tweet she sends out.

Tony was her (much put upon) DWTS partner

Exactly. IMO, Kate has created many false dichotomies in her life.
You're either with me, or you're against me
I either film my kids, or we'll live meager lives
You call me out on my begging and you are taking milk out of my babies' mouths

I hope the kids learn what subtleties are and critical thinking skills are and do not believe in the black and white world that Kate seems to. To wit: "no is never no to me".

I think it's hilarious that her "fans" are finally starting to see her true colors on Twitter. (Not as if they couldn't see the same on the show, but whatever.) She is becoming more and more unraveled and as everyone predicted - Twitter will be her downfall. People don't like the sense of entitlement that they are seeing regarding the laptops. She should be thanking her lucky stars on a daily basis but instead she's bitching about not having enough - she is just a piece of work. Nothing will EVER be good enough for her.
Her "block" list on Twitter will be longer than her followers list at the rate she is going, if it's not already. I know she blocked me a while back because I said that I read the last article in People magazine about her and I found it distasteful. So if something that simple sets her off then she must have thousands blocked.

I forgot to say in my last post: Kate obviously doesn't understand how Twitter works if she thinks that blocking users magically makes them disappear. She has a public Twitter account and anyone can see everything she posts and all the thread discussions. If she blocks a user, then that user can just sign out of Twitter and see everything while not being logged in - so, in other words, the only benefit to blocking is that then she doesn't see the blocked users tweets while they are talking shit about her. Thus, she can continue to live her warped little so-called positive world where no one says anything negative about her. Dream on Kate!

The only thing you can do is put the alert out there for those who may have some power to check into that situation and handle it accordingly. Kate doesn't want to hear anything negative. She would never believe any warning because it's coming from a "hater." Even those involved with the cruise, or her security, would see any alert as the retaliation of a non-fan against a fan. Whether they choose to believe it is up to them. I just hope that they would take this seriously enough to ask questions, do an internet search, read the tweets and then act accordingly. If they just dismiss the warning as a the hate rant of a non-fan and something does happen, it will be on their hands.

Didn't tweeters try to warn Kate when some pedophile who was a member of a man/boy love organization was in contact with her? She just let it go. She never heard of Blankinship either, did she? She's living in her own little world where problems are solved by refusing to see that there are any.

Kate has posted a new Q&A on her blog. I copied this from Google Reader (not from her site).

Kate also posted a few pictures of the kids (playing outside & reading a book)

Kate answers a total of 9 questions, here's the first three:

1. Q: Do you have any advice for a parent who has trouble with their child not eating their school lunches (cafeteria or packed). My niece has trouble eating her school lunches and then gets in trouble for it – any advice?
-Jenna

A: Hi Jenna – This is what works for me: I always pack a frozen cooler pack in each lunch box so that my kids lunch is still cold when they return home from school! If any of my kids come home with food remaining, I put it at their place at the table and when they complain that dinner isn’t ready yet and “I’m starving,” I offer them their leftover lunch items as a snack to hold them over.

I figure as long as the calories are all consumed in the day and the food isn’t wasted, we all win! :) I struggled for a long time with that too because my kids sometimes get carried away talking to friends at lunch and “forget” to eat! Hope it helps!

2. Q: I am writing you from Serbia where your show is more than popular and TLC has been emitting it twice a day :)
Since I am FASCINATED by your everyday life organization, such as who is cleaning when, cell phone rules etc, I was wondering, if you have writen any book on this matter and if yes what’s it called….
I am planning a family of my own and you and your kids are my inspiration!
-Elena

A: Hi Elena – I am mentally planning my next book which will be the third book (fourth in total) following “Multiple Blessings” and “I Just Want You to Know.” The focus of my next book will be the things I’ve learned when life took another unexpected turn and I found myself divorced and functioning as a single parent of 8 kids! I hope to get it written soon!
I also have plans to release my better than ever cook book and am currently working on a surprise writing project that excites me a lot! I’ll hurry….:)

3. Q: What limits on TV have you set for your children and which shows do they watch regularly?
-Tara

A: Hi Tara- We honestly don’t watch a lot of tv. My kids are happiest when they are playing outside or doing skits and playing dress up in the basement. But, if we do watch tv, I allow the Disney channel, PBS or Nickelodeon. I don’t assume all of the above channels are “kid friendly” though so I either watch it with them when I can or keep my ears open to hear the content. Kid shows and channels are a lot different from when I was a kid and watched “The Electric Company,” “Romper Room,” and the TGIF line up on Friday nights, that’s for sure!

Kirkland said...

Here's question 4

4. Q: When did you decide you weren’t going to be a short order cook? I have a picky 2 yr old and it’s been a challenge, but I feel like she’s still too young to be sent to bed without dinner. And she will not even look at vegetables anymore.
-Tara

A: Hi! I have always believed in exposing my kids to healthy eating from the very beginning! I can remember contentedly choosing Mady and Cara’s baby foods to make sure it all made a complete and healthy meal! From there, I fed them every fruit and vegetable I could think of, whether I enjoyed that type or not– fortunately I’m hard pressed to find any of either I don’t like! If they refused, I fed it to them again and again until they decided it wasn’t so bad. I carried that policy on and even today, if I make a meal that no one is in total love with, I will wait and make it again in a few months! Surprisingly, the reaction is usually different the second time, for some unknown reason! I make one meal each day for dinner and allow only minor alterations to suit each palate – for example with or without cheese etc. But each plate will contain “some of everything” and all meat and veges must be tried, at least. Completing the carb food group is always optional – mashed potatoes, fries, rice etc.

If I were you, I would continue to put green vegetables on your two year old’s plate and encourage her to try them! An airplane spoon DOES make it more fun and huge praise goes a long way too! I’ve done it! :) In our house, healthy eating has always been a good experience and it warms my heart to watch my kids enjoy my cooking! Hope you get there! Good luck!

Here's Questions 5 & 6:

5. Q: My husband and I just recently separated. And I just wanted some advice on how to help my three children deal with all of this. It’s been hard on them and my oldest one chooses not to see his father. Thank You for your advice.
-Bethany

A: Hi Bethany – I know where you are, because I have been there. When my kids struggled during the initial two years or so when their lives were turned upside down by divorce, I spent many nights laying next to them in bed, comforting them while we worked through the pain. I think that the best thing that I did was choose to only say positive things out loud despite the turmoil that was going on behind the scenes. It allowed my kids to continue to love their dad and remember him in a positive light.

We had many many happy memories together as a “whole” family and I think that is what carried them through that difficult time! I willingly walked down memory lane with them and enjoyed remembering those “good old days!” It was still hard many nights when I heard a lonely little voice from upstairs say “I miss daddy” especially when I knew there was no immediate way to help them. We wrote many notes and made many phone calls which helped a little, but it never seemed to fix the real problem! I knew I could be the most stable supportive mom on the planet, but there was no way I could be their dad! It is SO hard when you come to that realization! The helplessness is heartbreaking!

During this time, I made it painfully obvious to my kids that although work took me away sometimes, I would ALWAYS come back. In fact, that was our motto whenever I had to go! We said it together to reassure them again! I planted myself more firmly then ever as their stability and in doing that I’m sure that I became an even more dedicated mother than I had been previously, nearly overnight! They relearned to trust by this over exaggeration that I displayed! I also reminded them often that this was a “big people problem” and none of it was their fault and that together or separate we both still loved them just as much!

I don’t know your exact situation, but what I do know about mine is that eventually, the “new normal” falls into place and my kids are absolutely thriving today! I see my same happy go lucky kids that I once knew and the amazing report cards from school confirm the same! Although it was really tense and the animosity was high between Jon and myself at the beginning, over time, he has seemed to recalculate his priorities and the outcome has been very positive overall! For this I am very thankful because he is the only one that can fill my kids “dad spot” and his role in their lives is just as vital as mine!
I have certainly found happiness over the last three years in my life and I’m hoping he has too. Happy parents – whether divorced or married – always results in happy kids!

So, here’s hoping in time, you and your kids can get there too! My best of luck to you! Hang in there! Hugs to you and your kids!

6. Q: When are you going to bring out a cook book?
-Hayley

A: Hi Hayley – I hope REALLY soon! I’m reconfiguring it, adding more unique “Kate recipes” and I hope to get it into your hands (and the thousands of others who have been asking for it for the past 7 years!) very soon!

TLC stinks said...

So she is admitting she recycles leftover lunches as snacks? Yuk. What a friggin' control freak.

Kirkland said...

And finally, Questions 7, 8 and 9:

7. Q: Did you buy your kitchen table or have it custom made? It is such a pretty color. Also, did the chairs come with it or were they a separate purchase?
-Sara

A: Hi Sara – I live in good old Pennsylvania where we are surrounded by the very talented and reasonably priced Amish and Mennonite community who make amazing furniture! Back in 2006, when we moved to Elizabethtown, Pa, I contacted Spring Mill Woodworking (near world famous Shady Maple Smorgasboard) and gave them the measurements of our “dining area.” In that house, in order to fit 10 people at any table, the table extended out into the hallway! I chose the width, length, stain color, and rounded corners (I had six 2 year olds who were table height at the time!) and they made it for me! I also ordered 5 chairs for it (custom stained; not built) because we didn’t have the money to buy or the space to fit another 5 chairs at the time. Besides, the littles were still in need of high chairs then! I made sure the chairs were a “stocked” item so that I could order five more in the future!

Just a few months ago, I called them and ordered an additional five chairs …..and we passed our wooden high chairs/ booster chairs to another group of six who can use them! :) It was time! We’re all grown up now! :) Now we enjoy dinner together as a big family – all seated in “big people” chairs! Ahh life is good!

8. Q: What’s life been like not having the show? And do you ever miss having the crew around?
-Stephanie

A: Hi Stephanie – Life has gone on the exact same as you remember it, but with lots of “growing up” changes! There’s less traveling and adventuring but we still do fun stuff, you just don’t get to see it! I hope to be able to do some updates for tv in the future so that you all can see how grown up we are… And how the chaos of life hasn’t decreased, it’s just a different dynamic! We do miss our crew and all of the fun we had! Only time will tell if we will have the honor of inviting you all back into our home….

9. Q: I was wondering, do you still have the BBB?
-tweety

A: Hello twitter friend, Tweety! I don’t usually use twitter questions for my website Q&A, but I thought I’d answer you here! Yes, I still have A BBB… But it’s now a new Big BLACK Bus! I gave the Big BLUE Bus to Jon for the kids and I bought the updated version for them! So glad it’s black so it can still be the BBB… Oh, priorities, you know! :)

Oops, if I misunderstood her twitter, it read to me like Kate said she could donate laptops..I don't have twitter, and sometimes it isn't clear to me WHO is doing the writing and who is on the receiving end.

Lol, to those that have lots of tech gadgets, okay...I am not and never have been one to have lots of gizmos. I think it's great if you have them, enjoy them, and pay for them yourself, instead of grifting them from people that have less than the recipient.

I would also like to say thanks to everyone for keeping this blog classy! I guess I am going to get on my soap box and ask that when reading a post, if it somehow offends you in any way, please take a moment to re-read the post, sometimes the meaning gets lost in print, whereas spoken in person is shows it's true meaning. I sometimes cringe when a few posters go after each other, when usually what they are arguing about is of little consequence.

If I have every said anything to anyone that has hurt their feelings, I sincerely apologize. I try to respect all here, and value all the ideas that are brought forth here, all more worthy than my little contributions.

Everyone have a blessed day, and remember those that are struggling with enormous loss and pain in our country today.

Hi Jenna – This is what works for me: I always pack a frozen cooler pack in each lunch box so that my kids lunch is still cold when they return home from school! If any of my kids come home with food remaining, I put it at their place at the table and when they complain that dinner isn’t ready yet and “I’m starving,” I offer them their leftover lunch items as a snack to hold them over.
____
So I guess since she makes them eat let over lunch's and dinner.

No wonder why she under fed them at dinner Kate has some serious issues.

So from the picture 3 tups are sitting at the kitchen counter with 3 laptops. We know that Kate owns at least one iPad, so what is her problem? I don't get what the laptop emergency was. Sure, one of the laptops could have been Mady's and one could have been Kate's, but still...who needs laptops for every child in the household? And computers are so cheap now. I'm just scratching my head over this. Is Kate so compulsive when it comes to grifting that she does not realize how greedy she appears?

Since your last cook book never made it what makes you think this one will.

I read that question and answer post..thanks to the poster that pasted that here.
Another book she is working on now? hmm...it has to be something stupid concerning the dog perhaps?
As far as her cookbook and writing a book about her divorce, this lady really can't let go of sharing her life, can she?
There was earlier debate about people liking A. Jolie, etc..I don't like nor not like her, since I don't KNOW her. She also doesn't make a living exploiting her kids for her financial comfort.
As far as liking other celebs, I guess I am not impressed by that sort of thing. Who cares? They put their pants on one leg at a time just like we do.

Yes, Kate has a serious issue with regards to food. In her twisted mind, healthful eating is all about controlling how much and what goes in her kids' mouths. Recycling their school lunches (and we've heard about this before) is bizarre. I guess it is true that they are not allowed to throw away their lunch leftovers. If they don't eat their leftover lunches, do they get dinner? And what about force feeding them something until they learn to eat it? What a battle every meal must be.

Anyone remember what a lunch box sandwich is like in the late afternoon? Soggy bread with anemic cold cuts or discolored peanut butter. A frozen cooler pack just puts moisture into the air as it melts. Yuck! Anything crunchy changes to limp. Bread is like a sponge. I would never have expected my child to eat anything that had survived the day in his lunch box. Even the hours-old smell is unappetizing. She is a nut!! I dare say, she would not eat it -- even on a bet.

I just found out that our Comcast cable has "Pioneer Woman" on the on-demand channels! What a great show!!!
________________________________

This is not the first time the Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond, has been mentioned on this blog as being the antithesis of Kate Gosselin.

She has her own show on Food Network every Saturday morning and became known to foodies when she won a "Thanksgiving Throwdown" with Bobby Flay a couple of years ago.

She's a sophisticated, informed, city girl who "chose" ranch life when she met her husband. She's an award-winning blogger who is devoted to her family and ADORES her dog "Charlie"; she has the education and credentials to back her projects; she does her own writing, and, by the way, she writes beautifully; and her life revolves around her family. There's not a fake bone in her body.

As I said, she is the ANTITHESIS of Kate Gosselin. I have all the respect in the world for Ree Drummond and NONE for Ms. Gosselin.

Thanks for letting me know about the Saturday AM show times for Pioneer Woman. I'll make a point to watch from now on!!!

I agree she is worlds above anything kart even dreams of. Seems to have a lovely personality and comes across as very intelligent. Especially like that her family is included here and there but they are not the focus of filming.

I don't watch much TV and never on Saturdays so I never would have found her show.

I just loved what I saw on the on-demand episode. Her values and ideas match mine - Martha Stewart is a bit too froo-froo and fake for me, so Ree has become my new hero - LOL!

Words of wisdom? from kart's q/a -

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

So...... she's "found happiness" in the last three years? That must mean her life in the alternate universe. Here on earth with Dr. Drew, she says she's so pitiously l-o-n-e-l-y. Poor widdle baby..... sad eyes here.

And as for the early animosity ("early" implies there is no animosity now???) it was all fixed when JON recalculated HIS principles??? Of course, NOTHING was ms. perfect kart's fault -

I can do weeks without caring one way or the other. She is such an insignificant speck... but then she brings me right back to fury with her sh*t comments like this.

I try hard when that happens to think of the broader, more universal sociological perspective: reality tv shows, in particular, kart's disgusting display of grift, greed, non-existant mothering skills and her hate for Jon, have changed forever the way folks are impacted by television.

Many years past, TV was for entertainment and information. Nowadays it's really hard to find good television programming suitable for kids and adult viewing.

Times change. kart is part of the legacy we'll have for the decline in tv quality. I have to wonder if she will ever realize what a loser she is and what her negative contribution has been.

Final thoughts: get a job kart and go away. Drop the twitter, cancel the cruise before you get cancelled and shut down your so-called website.

The ONLY ones who care anymore are folks who hate you and what you've done, and your six silly twitter fans. If I were you, I'd be so ashamed I'd run away and hide.

Kate sounds like she's scrambling today. The impression I get is that she had been excited about a new prospect and it fell through unexpectedly yesterday. She seems like she's throwing a lot of hooks out there today to see what the public will bite on. I may not have a million dollar house and get to jet off to expensive self serving excursions, but at least I know that my family, home, and job are here. I don't need to sell my soul to keep my head afloat on a daily basis. I don't envy Kate in the least! She has a long road of disappointments ahead of her. She was so blessed, giving birth to 8 healthy babies...why did she have to sell her soul to the devil...so sad!

To: Wrong on all: Taking extra napkins is not a crime. What is a crime if you take about 20 of them, steal toilet paper, then: leave the ketchup packets, salt packets, extra napkins on the table, cause you know what happens to theses, they throw them in the trash. Just like when you get served buns & rolls, the ones you do not eat are thrown in the trash, they do not put these back in the wrapper and serve to someone else. I ask a waitress one time, what happen to the unopen packets and un-eaten rolls, and she said, if you don't take them we throw them out. Cause, if a customer touches or breaths on them, it's considered contaminate, thus it gets tossed. Some places give you only 1-3 napkins, if I only use one, and I took the unused ones back to the counter, they will throw it in the garbage, cause you touched it. Just like when you have a tray of cookies, the first one you touch is the one your suppose to take, this is according to the manners book. Would you want to have something someone put their hands on(since you don't know where their hands were last?)Not me, I don't want to get sick. Taking a few extra napkins is not a crime or wasteful or stealing. I'm glad that your so proper. But I don't see it that way. Your opinion not mine.

Good Lord, where to start? So much to say about Kate's latest antics.

1. Her language on twitter is more negative than ever (despite pretending she's a positive person) and she's referring to and responding to criticism more than ever. I think that's telling of her mindset. She tries VERY hard to keep up this happy positive persona on Twitter, but anyone who has watched her in action for more than a few minutes knows that isn't her. The Twitter mask is slipping.

2. That Q&A post was just mind-boggling. The divorce thing--she made it sound like Jon DIED in the first 2/3 of her answer! Then of course things are better because HE fixed himself. Ug. And serving what they didn't eat at lunch? And serving shit over and over until they're forced to eat it? How stupid. If ALL the kids don't like something, then I have an easy solution: don't serve it. I don't serve things I know everyone in my family hates!

And she's not going to put out any more books. If she does, I'll eat my shoe. It's not going to happen. Who would edit/write it? Who would publish it? No one, that's who.

3. The laptops, good call to Bitter End. I thought the same thing: she's setting up the switching schools story. It's just "too much," "they don't have enough laptops to keep up," it's too far, etc. and meanwhile it's really because it's too expensive and possibly the kids can't keep up academically (though I don't know that). But definitely to save money, she's going to pull them out. We all predicted that, didn't we?

4. The bad news she got yesterday: I didn't think about Purse Boy leaving. If THAT is what made her upset, then I need to go back to my original theory. She was into Steve, but the feeling was NOT mutual. He was a paid employee, paid by TLC. Then because the contract ended, Steve is no longer being paid, so he's outta there. Bye bye Purse Boy. And because he was never into her, he really does leave. And she's upset and pissed.

OR it's the cruise. And most definitely what Admin said: Jon has scored some victories in court.

It really could be more than one thing that she got hit with at once. Life does that sometimes.

Pipers are wanting to be paid in Kate's life. Roosters coming home to roost, karma is rearing her foot back for a swift kick, all that.

THIS is what I stuck around for. ;)

Dallas Lady: add one more thing to that: Kate was not ask to co-host on the View this week. Sherri & Whoopie are not on this week, and possibly Kelly of Regis & Kelly, has not ask Kate to co-host either.
Also Maybe TLC turned Kate down for specials(maybe Kate wanted to be paid the same amount as, she got for the show) . I do believe she was at their offices last week. Tryin for a special, tryin for a show of her own, tryin to extend benifits, tryin to keep TLC paying for things, tryin to keep purseboy, tryin to hold on to anything. And they told her to get lost. TLC made the depended monster, and now let it go to fend for it's self.

Dallas Lady said...

bm: I don't think Kate gives a fig about that, nor do I think she's read Sue Buddy's article. If it's money in her pocket, she doesn't care. She exploited her own kids for financial gain all their short lives, so why would she care about this?

By the way, everyone, I predict a lot more of these little drive-by trollings as Kate sinks further into obscurity. People griping about and pouncing on all manner of things: taking napkins at a restaurant, criticizing someone's wording, asserting one user name is really another, all in the name of muddying the waters and getting people fighting. It makes them feel better to muddy things here.

So don't take the bait. But there will probably be more bait than usual from here on out.

Dallas Lady: your right, I see the trolls are on patrol, been attacking Jon's twitter acct, but had to say something about the difference, between taking a few extra napkins and what unused buns and un-opened packets, food places throw in trash. Which I think is a bigger crime and waste. I do sometimes have them put my drink in a cup and take it with or take my drink with and some time , when I stop the car, the coffee etc comes right up the straw, good thing I took extra napkins. But I would like to know what is a fair share of napkins? 1-2, 2-4? depends on what your eating? Anyone?
I also think, that person she banded, touched a sore spot or the truth, about why she won't use her own money.

What happened to the Ipads she grifted, um obtained, recently? Couldn't those be used for homework? I thought with the right apps and interfaces a person could do pretty much everything you could do on a computer. Also, I'm sure Jon could help in this area since she is not computer technyish, I'm sure he would be able to help. He would most likely know of a good source for used laptops. You can buy the notepad laptops for $300 apiece. So for less t$ han the cost of a trip to NYC for hair/dinner/limo, kate can have her KIDS needs met.

What a rude freaking tweet about other have less but also have less kids. Is this bitch for real? It doesn't matter if you only have 2 kids and 1 computer. Its the same ratio. On top of that. A LOT of mom's have to do an hour of math AFTER working an 8 hour shift. Then they have to make dinner (which kate has all day to prepare) get their kids to sports, clean house etc. kate has all day to plan for after school. And 1 hour isn't bad for homework..it's average.
kate entitlement makes me want to scream. She has so much and still isn't grateful.
Also, TLC could have gotten the kids laptops in a very special infomercial episode - but instead they had to spend their budget on lavish trips instead. kate should have focused on the kids needs before her own why her gravy train was running and she wouldn't be in this "dire situation"

I truly dislike kate. Hell instead of a nanny which she doesn't need why doesn't she employ a tutor instead. Most parents would love to have the options kate has. Money doesn't buy happiness, but it sure solves a lot of "problems"

BUY 3 LAPTOPS YOU CHEAP BITCH. THAT;S THE ONE THING THAT WOULD ACTUALLY BE APPROPRIATE TO SPEND THE KIDS MONEY ON!

Does Kate have a reading comprehension problem? This fan asked how to get her child to eat lunch at school, not what you do with leftover lunches. If I wrote that question, upon seeing Kate's answer, my response would be "Huh, that's not what I asked".

On another note, why is a poor child getting in trouble at school for having difficulty eating her lunch? What are we doing to kids? Is she stealing other food or throwing her leftovers at other kids? If not leave her alone. Maybe she's just full for goodness sake. I get the feeling Kate made up these questions herself.

Of course I HAD denied it but anyway, I ignored her tweet for a long time because I knew what she would say if I tweeted back my denial. Finally I decided to see if she indeed would tweet me back what I thought she would, so I tweeted her, "I am NOT BL" or Admin, whatever she called me. Sure enough shortly a tweet came back from her, "Of course you'd deny it." So there you have it.

As far as Kate reading my article, all I know is she blocked me either late last night or early this morning. That tells me she saw it. I've expressed my concerns and I'm glad I did.

Let's just hope that the rampaging fan doesn't feel slighted if Kate doesn't let her kid play with the twins or doesn't interact with her the way she expects for her several thousand dollar expenditure. I remember reading the tweet to Jon from a fan who indicated they'd "invested" a lot of time watching the show. We all know the stalker types think their investment gives them special rights.

My grandson is in second grade. He does use a computer to do some of his homework. Some math, some reading, and they also have a Kids Blog, to write stories or poems. It usually involves either math games, or word games, or spelling games, but it is spread out over the week. His homework takes no more than 20 minutes each day.

When he was in first grade, most of his homework involved reading at least 15 minutes a day, and practicing writing skills, etc., but no use of a computer.

Kate says the tups do homework for approximately an hour and a half from 6:30 to 8. That is probably just another one of her exaggerations.

Are you done venting now? Feel better? Does cussing help relieve pent up stress? Later, troll.

Ladies (and gents),
Take a couple of extra napkins. It really is ok.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Since her first Q&A, I was convinced she makes those questions up herself. They are just a bit too complimentary, too gushy about Kate's imagined perfectness.
Her relavations about some possible upcoming books leaves me speechless. I know Kate has an aversion to spending her own money, but is it possible she could be self-publishing? Because I can't imagine ANY publisher signing her on, given the immense dislike America has shown for her. A canceled show, no new real jobs, a 79,000 twatter following that consists of 78,000 purchased inactive users, a cruise that is not selling... what company sizes this up and says "yeah, I'm hopping on the Kate Gosselin train!!"
Seriously, a dissertation (Sue Buddy?) could be written about all that Kate has revealed about HERSELF and her sick thinking, just in the Q&A that was posted above. Keep it up Kate! (my voice is now a whisper) ....Psst, hey Jon--take notes and start documenting.....
She is a sick person and a danger to her children. I hope that Jon is able to make one or two big scores (commercial, DWTS), so that he can buy a house and remove those poor children from Alcatraz. They must be getting close to the age when they can decide which parent to live with.
I call Kate is making these questions up. I don't know of any school that would get a child in trouble for having trouble eating their lunch. If anything adults would be concerned maybe they were ill or not getting edible food or a problem at home making them stressed. I can see a phone call to the parent to make sure everything is okay, not punishing the poor thing. BS Kate!
My college son bought his laptop for school for around 350 and it does everything he needs for COLLEGE. As a librarian AND a school sub AND former full-time teacher, I can positively say that they do NOT need individual laptops to do primary grade work.
I suggest she sell that little honey of a car and she can buy 1000 laptops. Dropping a few tanning sessions would cover it, too.
And someone asked earlier - yes, absolutely Ipads will work for certain things. Not if they were typing and printing, but online work can be easily done, saved, and sent.
Believe me, Kate will accept as many used laptops as her fans will send her but her kids will never use them. Can you imagine the germs that would be introduced to the McMansion? She will sell them to get six new "matchy matchy" laptops. Don't cha know she's too good to have anything used in her house? I've never understood this. Anyone? Thanks.
It's my understanding that Kate left home as a teen and moved into her boyfriend's parents' house. Since I didn't come onto the scene until about the time of the wedding vow update, can someone bring me up to date on this?
The question about kids eating school lunches==
1. Q: Do you have any advice for a parent who has trouble with their child not eating their school lunches (cafeteria or packed). My niece has trouble eating her school lunches and then gets in trouble for it – any advice
Does Kate have a reading comprehension problem? This fan asked how to get her child to eat lunch at school, not what you do with leftover lunches. If I wrote that question, upon seeing Kate's answer, my response would be "Huh, that's not what I asked".
EXACTLY what I thought when I read her answer. It appeared to me that the concern was that the niece was not eating lunch and, as a result, getting into trouble. Kate completely missed the point of the question and failed miserably in her response. The appropriate response would be to ask more questions such as "When you say your niece has trouble eating lunch at school, do you know the source of the trouble? Is it the taste/texture of the food, that she is having other issues at school that make her lose her appetite, or that she is just not hungry at that time of day?" Instead Kate's response is essentially "make the kid bring the food home (apparently missing that the poster included cafeteria food) and put it out on the table for the child to eat." The tone of her response is so punitive! I also noted the "blame Jon" tone of the question regarding divorce. Yes, Kate, we all know you are blameless. We get it. You are the victim.
I cannot believe she had the audacity to comment about others having "less" kids. My cousin and his wife have seven children (one is a special needs child) and they all share one computer. Given their age range, many of them have much more than one hour's worth of homework a night. Then again, these seven children are generous, kind, smart kids who respect others and are always ready to lend a helping hand, so perhaps not having everything handed to them on a golden platter has helped them grow into the seven wonderful human beings they are.
Ya just gotta laugh at a diatribe about lack of command of the English language that ends with "ya gotta wonder." If you are going to preach, it usually is best to practice.
Why did that have to be said? Admin. already took care of it. It was just plain mean and uncalled for.
Now that Jon has 'recalculated' his priorities, and is filling his 'dad spot' to Kate's standards again, does this mean he will now be allowed to drive on her property ? And, for the sake of her children, attend their school functions when she does, or is there another calculation for that? She astounds me with her smallness.
I am thinking about putting on a clown wig and changing my posting name to "Come and geetch your eggs!" (Use appropriate "cartoon" voice while reading that.)
Also regarding the imaginary niece in the question Kate wrote is anyone wondering if this made up child might have a medical issue causing lack of appetite?? Uhhh ya think? Like Maria said the first thing you need to know before you can even begin to give advice is WHY is she not eating. Heck it could be as simple as switching her from ham to turkey. Twidiot.
Kate is a twit said...
Marla and Admin, glad to see I was not the only one questioning that reply about the niece not eating lunch. My answer would have been to speak to her teacher, as there may be underlying problems. I really do not understand why people ask Kate questions like this(if it is a true question). Just like I don't understand people asking Kate for medical advice.
If kate wasn;t "asking" for laptops then why did she tweet "crap" when someone told her they wish they had known sooner of poor kate's need.
Also, at what point can we all agree this grifting bitch is a fraud. I am sick of her acting like she is in need, that she cannot afford to buy nice things for her children etc. Honestly, I wish someone who had donated to her during her church grifts of "braces times 8!" would have sued her for fraud the day the 1.2 million house was shown - or at least contacted a newspaper to do a story on it.
