Mom Melissa Ziegler was shocked about the routine, although she didn't forbid her kids to participate. |
Maybe networks are finally listening to casual viewers, child development experts and even celebrities (Katherine Heigl, no less!) about protecting reality T.V kids. When the public expressed outrage over an episode that featured the famous Dance Moms girls in risqué Showgirls costumes that bared so much skin even their pushy moms were mortified, Lifetime quietly did something about it. The episode did not re-air tonight as it normally would have just before the premiere of the new episode, is no longer available on the Lifetime web site (the latest full episode was always available for viewing online following the air date), it has been pulled from Hulu and other similar sources, and is difficult if not impossible to find on Youtube. Radaronline still has a clip of the routine, but we expect that to disappear soon as well.
Here's what prompted Lifetime to do something about the horrible mistake they made airing this episode:
Psychologist Rachel A. Sussman said: "Forcing a child to dress and perform in a provocative way can have wide spread negative effects. If you put a child into an adults-only situation (where they clearly don’t belong), they may be very confused about their developmental stage and their sexual identity. It can cause depression, anxiety and low self esteem. Furthermore, they may have trust issues. Also, they are receiving very poor parenting, which can set them up for a lifetime of negative attachment issues."
Actress Katherine Heigl said: "I kept thinking all these girls were missing is a pole! I was also horrified by the way their instructor spoke to them when she felt they weren’t up to snuff. It was demeaning, belittling, and downright unkind. My daughter was in the room at the time as was my mother and I kept looking over at my perfect, innocent and beautiful child wondering how can I protect her from what the world is becoming. It terrifies me, the amount of value we place on a woman’s looks, body, and ability to drop it like it’s hot on the dancefloor. It’s one thing to walk into a club and see twentysomethings embracing their sexuality and having some fun, but it’s another thing altogether watching seven-year-olds shake their booties, bellies, and nonexistent boobies on a stage in a room full of adults and be handed a trophy for it. What in the world are we telling them? That sexy is the prize and is the talent they have?"
Psychologist Dr. Nancy Irwin: “As a treatment professional of sex offenders, I can tell you that adults who are attracted to minors definitely seek out shows just like this to whet their appetites. They may attend the shows in-person, watch them on TV and seek out Facebook still photos and YouTube clips to pleasure themselves. The sexual body movements are more concerning than the costumes.”
Journalist Daisy Dumas: "Lifetime's Dance Moms has hit new lows by asking its child contestants - the youngest of whom is just eight-years-old - to dress in nude bikinis and perform a burlesque routine on stage. The raunchy dance moves are usually the domain of striptease experts, the X-rated acts brimming with nudity, nipple tassels and sexually explicit poses."
Human behavior expert Patrick Wanis, PhD: “This condones, encourages and motivates adults to imagine little girls dancing naked for their pleasure. Of course it will arouse pedophiles and offer them a new legal avenue to engage in their lustful thoughts as they watch the little girls ‘nude’ on television.”

Waiting for Kate to allow filming of herself taking a poop, while on national TV. And showing everyone the "results."
I'll give her 2 M & M s.
Yikes! TLC is at it again. I just saw previews for the show My Strange Addiction (while I was watching Hoarding: Buried Alive--I know--slow television night.) Seems a lady loves to drink her own urine! She even puts in under her eyes and rubs it through her hair.
I think so much of the so called "reality television" is staged for the shock value. Surely there aren't really people out there who eat comet and tissue paper and drink their own urine?!? I have been waiting for reality tv to lose its appeal, but I'm afraid it's here to stay. Actually, it seems there's more reality tv on than any other genre nowadays. Some of it I watch because I'm so shocked by it, but at the same time I hate it! HA HA Strange, huh?
By the way, I don't post much, but I have always found all the posters here quite welcoming and friendly! Anonymous, perhaps if you picked a name and posted more often, people would know who you are so they could recognize you and reply. Completely being sincere here, not snark :)

Jane - we took a river cruise last summer, on the Danube, with Uniworld. It was between them and Viking, went with Uniworld for the specific dates/itinerary. We loved the river cruise experience, have heard nothing but good things about Viking, but would go again with Uniworld, it was that good.

Thanks - checking into Uniworld now!
My mother is a lot like Kate. It's strange that you don't begin to see similarities or realize this until you are older.
A lot of parents, least in my experience think it's "cute" to take pictures of their kids in bathroom scenes and scrapbook them for future giggles about old stories that in general all they do is embarrass you now that you're grown.
I suppose I can relate because I didn't have a lot of privacy growing up, I look at these kids and the fact is some of them later in life are going to maybe be angry their private moments will forever be out there whether they like it or not.
Kate wouldn't tolerate having her personal moments invaded, but for her kids it shouldn't be a problem which was something I was told growing up. Truth is, just because they are kids does not mean they deserve to be stripped of our basic human rights towards privacy and the ability to say what other see shouldn't be seen.
Why adults don't realize kids grow up, kids become adults one day, why do parents not realize that kids are entitled to privacy just as much as their parents are? Even Kate said she realized people were offended by being shown her kids bathroom shots but to her it was a way to put forever on record for whatever the reason.
Is there ever a good reason I wonder for taking pictures of your child in the bathroom?
Anonymous, #152: I apologize if my comments to you earlier might have been construed as "flip." If you indeed have a person whose daily interaction depends on this, or other, similar blogs, might I suggest you look for other sites where s/he might be better served?

Thanks. Just Kate being Kate huh? Disgusting and thoughtless to the max. It's mind blowing sometimes.
As far as Kate giving anything...........
I can't come up with an example. Anyone?
************************************************
An example of Kate giving anything? Sure,
but it will cost you one way or another.
Your article on "Kate Gosselin-The Epitome of Narcissism" deserves a standing ovation.
Kate is socially inept.
Here's hoping that one day she learns how to have a proper conversation with another human being.
There is a huge difference beween a private picture ( and I mean A picture, not dozens) snapped of oh, maybe your toddler using a potty chair for the first time or playing in the bathtub with his cousin, said picture going into a baby book not to be seen by anyone but family AND filming your chidren, using a tv production company, in awkward and embarrasing situations, and then broadcasting this to the world. For money. Forever visible.
This is, of course, IMHO.
Pink, thank you so much! I was so furious I wanted to slap that woman silly! Just a figure of speech, Kate fans!!!
I don't hold out hope that Kate will learn much of anything. Her mind is closed tighter than a clam.
Hang in there, Em.
I hope that both you, and your son's situation improves greatly.
Sh*t. When it rains, it pours, doesn't it?
God bless you both.

EM - Hang in there. If you are not pleased with this attorney, there are others out there- check with your local/state lawyer Bar Association for a new referral. Best wishes to you and your family.
Em, I'm sending goos thoughts your way and kudos to Sue Buddy for another fine article.
goos=good.
Anonymous, we all post here for different reasons, but with a common thread I think. We are all trying to get inside the mind of a narcissist, and in this case, the mind of a woman who has so much yet sees so little of what is right in front of her. I also believe we all know someone like Kate, and this blog offers a unique window in to that mind, offering a varied insight in to that personality type.
Anyone who has empathy, cries for those who suffer, wonders how the Kate's of this world exist. Kate has tossed aside her family, friends, anyone who has called her motives in to question. She responds to her critics with her shallow platitudes, tossing them out randomly to her sheeple, who graze happily on them, just because they have been thrown in to the pasture by a television celebrity.
My sense is that those who post here have full lives, have much more to do than arrange juice boxes or take afternoon runs, (while feeling cheated out of a life of fame). I love my ordinary life because it has meaning, it is honest and it is true.
As with any community, and this is one, it is the common goals of that group that matter, we all have something to offer, it all counts.
GN! It's been a day. That's all I have2say. I hope tom brings good things my way..gotta keep a + attitude!:) Didn't mean2rhyme by the way:)! 26 minutes ago

Here she goes again with how very hard her life is. What Kate? What could have possibly happened that was so, so hard! Why is it such a struggle to keep up a positive attitude? You had to put a loved one in an old folks home too? Yeah didn't think so.
I feel embarrassed to tell people, other than very close family and friends, if I'm having a bad day. I feel like I never know if the other person has it much much worse than me. If I start talking about how the car broke down and the weekend plans have to be canned, how do I know the person I'm talking to doesn't have throat cancer or something? I mean, it's really just better to keep such things to yourself.

Oh Katie poo, I hope tomorrow brings you good things too. Like a talk show and a billion bucks and 24/7 childcare and lots of macduggal dresses and a waist. Now scram.
It's amazing how much one person will expect another to sacrifice so that they don't have to.
More than anything I think Kate feels if she says life isn't as hard as it actually is people won't feel half as sorry for her. Another reason she goes out of her way to claim that everyday is just to utterly hard.
What? I mean she's got a roof over her head, she's got food to eat, she's got shoes to wear, not major life threatening issues other than her self-pity woe is me bit. So she has to feed, clothe, educated and pay for 8 kids she chose to have. Why does she need constant reminders to be strong if it's something she wanted? I think a great deal she says stay strong as away to deflect from the fact she's just as weak and mediocre as anybody else.

Exactly. Her day was bad probably because no one handed her $250,000 to just be her regular wicked self.
Have you seen this yet?
This one was from her famous aluminum foil dress media tour in LA.

I think she honesty believes she is the only one on the face of the earth that has 8 kids...
reality check YOU ARE NOT KATE!!!!

Oh well suck it up, Kate. Life is so tough.
Here's the thing. If she got a job, she wouldn't have TIME to feel sorry for herself all day long. It's amazing how little time you have for self pity when you work all day long. Or volunteer or do something with your time. Keep yourself busy. DO something with you life and your celebrity. Today Angelina Jolie attended a war crimes criminal court hearing in The Netherlands. I mean for God sake do something with your life.
Berks is that the so-called interview she did that got buried on page 6, or in this case on page 266? All that big LA tour and all she gets is a little internet clip buried in the archives months later?
I’ve been thinking about this all day and wanted to know if anyone else agrees with me or has been thinking the same thing.
When I read HughE’s blog from earlier today, I felt embarrassed to be grouped in with the Khaters that he described. In my mind, when I hear “haters” I don’t think of the posters on this blog, I think of the tweeter haters who constantly harass and attack Kate’s fans but I think in many people’s eyes, we’re all the same.
I think the tweeter haters really changed the outcome of the RC fiasco. They took the attention off the fact that there maybe was an embarrassing photo of Kate and instead highlighted the fact that there is a group of rabid haters foaming at the mouth to bring Kate down.
HughE’s final paragraphs really highlight this, I think.
“There's a whole list of things the Khaters could do to protect children than to attack Kate Gosselin. Don't buy the magazines, or visit the entertainment sites, step away from the computer, take a look at your own life. What's your cat doing right now, do they need to be petted, your dog walked, your kids hugged? Check out what I thought of Bethenny Frankel's reality in my Philly Mag column. She might be mad I blew the cover on her cozy life.
What I don't understand is these ladies call themselves Christians, but they torture and judge Kate. Odd especially during Lent. Ladies, her show is over. Your work here is done. It was like you weren't satisfied until I had Kate Gosselin's head on a skewer. I guess when you do a reality tv show and open yourself up, you give permission for others to judge you. But the Khaters should ask themselves why are so obsessed?”
When the lecture at Brown was brought up yesterday, someone made the comment asking if someone should send the speakers a list of all of the things Kate has grifted. I guess I just don’t think that the speakers who look at the e-mail and say “Wow, look at everything she has grifted, let’s follow up on that” they would say “Wow, look at how much this person hates Kate that they took the time to compile this list. Let’s follow up on the people that hate celebrities, realty stars, [fill in the blank]”.
Anyway, I wish that the tweeter haters would just stop for 1 day or 1 week and see what happens. Probably half of Kate’s tweets and Kate’s fans tweets are about the haters. What would they talk about if the haters just stopped. First it was the paps, oh poor Kate, the paps just bother her so much. Then the paps went away. Now it’s the haters, poor Kate has haters that just bother her so much. What would happen if they went away?
Makes me wonder what I’m doing here day in, day out and if, by reading this blog and all the tweeting drama if I’m actually helping to keep Kate relevant.
hugh just commented in effies blog in comments that shot was of Kate and a psychic reading her future

I just wanted to add one more thought about this blog. I don't see the cliques anonymous talked about. What clique am I in please tell me!
Also, picking a name is a GREAT first step to joining in. Not following four simple rules right out of the gate isn't a good way to fit in.
Admin 182. I called the bar this morning after his latest rant and they directed me to the Supreme Court to file a complaint. They said they take it by phone and give it to their lawyers and see if it has merit. The lady i spoke to said the lawyer may quit my case if I file now and maybe I should wait til it's over if I was worried about that. He's such a narcissistic maniac I can't decide when to do it. I don;t want him to hurt the case but I could go on and on about his behavior and misleading statements. He is having a temper tantrum now refusing to "offer advice" uMMMM what did I pay you for again?
And thank you for not doubting me. One thing i don't do is lie or exaggarate. Another reason kate makes me nuts. I can't stand drama queens and liars.

OMG! That video was so bad!! I don't know if it's my computer, but there were sound bites from other videos on the page bleeding into the video's sound at times. That tinfoil dress barely covered her orange ass while she was sitting down. And she appears to have put on weight around her midsection. Yech!! Katie Irene just looked very thick from her midsection down. She talked about the cruise and how Mady and Cara didn't know they were going and actually plugged Coupon Cabin. Said she uses her coupon savings in order to buy more food--BIG GRIN as it's so hard to feed 8, count 'em 8 kids.
Same old story.

Ingrid, fixed your active link. It was redirecting me to this current blog post.
Thanks for posting it.
EM, that makes me so sad to hear. I find it highly unethical to refuse to offer advice just because you're upset. You offer the advice your client needs whether you are ticked off or not, and if you don't want to do that, then you get off the case. If every lawyer refused to give advice just because they were annoyed, there wouldn't be a lot of advice giving going on. Listen to your State Bar. And if at all possible get a new attorney. An attorney I often say is like a good eHarmony match! Some work, some don't! We all have clients who love us and clients who don't so much. Good luck, let us know how it shakes out.

Was this the climax of her official tin-foil tour 2012? Well that was disappointing. It looks more like a college intern scored a big interview with a local celeb with the local access station. When the interviewer laughed when Kate said she was a stay at home mom who works at home (does she know what we know?), I laughed too then stopped watching.
Am I recalling correctly this was yet another interviewer who promised that she understood the REAL Kate and would ask REAL questions?
Please.
No one but WGN has really done that. And Joy Behar, who threw Kate's own stupid quotes back in her face. Joy Behar comes to her interviews PREPARED.
Thanks guys so much for the kind words. I for sure didn't put this out there for sympathy but more as a comparison to what REAL problems are. This week is one of many awful ones I have encountered. I'm sure you all can relate seeing as how you are all normal and intelligent. Normal people have real life issues because they don't live in a bubble and they care for other people.
Now here we have kate in full meltdown mode over being called grouchy! This woman would in a mental hospital if she ever had a real problem. And having a son who wears glasses doesn't count as a problem. Neither does routine dental work for your children. UGH!
I hate how kate minimizes real issues by complaining about her mundane bullshit.
Kate luckily had 8 beautiful healthy children. Never had to worry about paying for their care. Was paid millions just for having a magic uterus, has had her wishes granted by the TLC genie, lives on a gorgeous lot of land, and had a loving husband and family. What did she do? Shit in it all and complains about everything while claiming to be positive! nonjudgemental! motivated! hard working!
GMAB. Hard working? NEVER. I'm sick of people thinking she deserves sympathy for her plight. Every "problem" kate has is self created and she never learned not repeat her mistakes. Instead she justifies them. It's sickening.
Again thank you all. Positive energy sent my way is always appreciated and welcome :0)

Credit to Ingrid for posting this new video.
I have absolutely no sympathy for Kate at this point. She was handed many opportunities over the years and she blew them all. The coupon blog is just the latests example.
She could have done a great blog about what coupons are and how to use them. Instead, she uses it as a platform to spread lies about Jon and once again tell the whole world how hard she has it.
Lets not forget A Twist of Kate, Mom logic, Cookbook, Clothing line, exc. She blew all of these chances because she has no desire to actually do any research or work. She keeps coming up with new excuses for not being a nurse. HELLO!!!!!!!!!! Making money nursing is better then not making any money.You are loosing money faster then a pothead in at 7-11.
Admin. thanks for the ulcer advice. I read it's caused by bacteria in the stomach. I guess stress exacerbates it but it's not the cause they say. He's not on the cocktail yet. He was given anti naseau to stop the vomiting. He is seeing another specialist Saturday and I think that's when he will get the combo of 3 meds.
Readerlady...ya, that's how I kinda stumbled to these blogs - the I hate Mady thing when I googled the gosselins. . I was horrified that Mady has that website and her parents kept putting her out there and showing her outbursts. Any normal person could see she isn't a "brat." Her life was turned upside down at 4 when she went to live at grandmas, returned home to have a house full of strangers helping, 8 crying babies, and then A FREAKING CAMERA CREW IN HER FACE. I think her behavior was actually quite normal especially given her circumstances. Around this time is when I started getting disgusted with sheeple for always begging for more.
This is when I reaaaaaly grew to dislike the parents, mostly kate. How could they not save Mady? Why do this to her? I'm really glad Jon saw the light now but I'm pissed kate still doesn't get it. This stupid show will follow these kids for life. It wasn't a quiet little documentary. It was full on explotation at the kids expense. Every adult who had anything to do with show should be deeply ashamed. What sucks is, like Admin said, I can do something about my lawyer. There is someone I can call who will correct or punish the behavior. Who could the kids have called to change their situation. The state of Pennsylvania let them down, TLC let them down and their parents let them down. These kids produced way to much money for anyone to stop what was happening to them.
I really hope they sue someday. And they better win. They could NOT consent in any way to this filming. They aren't actors. They were filmed in their home with none of the protection that actors get. Have we ever seen a child actor nude?
Am I recalling correctly this was yet another interviewer who promised that she understood the REAL Kate and would ask REAL questions?
_________________
Kate said that the money was tight and budget was stretched as soon as the six were born. Why didn't the interviewer jump in and remind her of how much help she got, how many free items, and that she received FREE childcare/nursing services from the state of PA for one year, and then wanted to extend it for another year?
What a wimpy interview.

Organizing 15 boxes of juice - line the kids up and have them carry them into the house and put them on a shelf. Done. Next victim please. Oh the ORGANIC soup, line the kids up, have them carry them into the house and put them on a shelf. Done. I shudder to think what my nearly 8 and 12 year old kids would have said to me if I handed them a tiny little juice box to drink. They would probably have said nice tease mom now break out the liquids.

Ya forgot...get Shoka's backpack on him and load it up. Oh, maybe I shouldn't give Kate any ideas. She has already complained many times that he won't help bring in groceries.
Em, the cocktail is the only thing that will kill it and most docs will put you on it as soon as they know it's an ulcer. The guy that discovered h.pylori won the Nobel prize for medicine. He needs to get on it ASAP because the whole course of it runs I think at least 8 weeks.
By the way the cocktail made me feel STRIPPED. I felt worse on it. No wonder taking three strong prescription meds. My mouth was dry, my stomach touchy, I was exhausted, and the ulcer hurt. DS should stick with it, it does get better. I am a new, happy and painfree woman thanks to that cocktail.
The only thing I wished is that the doctors were much sooner to suspect an ulcer, it could have saved me months of pain.
HOw long did you feel bad Admin? Did the ulcer go away completely? Do they come back? I want to go to the GI with him Saturday to ask more questions. I was surprised they only gave him one med. He does have a lot of allergies so maybe they are just starting slow for a few days to acclimate? It's the only reason I can think of
Sorry for the OT, this is for EM, scroll past!
Em I felt bad for over two years, but I thought I just sort of had a finicky stomach. Since this runs in the family, I thought oh well guess I have it too. I increasingly felt TERRIBLE for about six months, as in they thought I had stomach cancer terrible. I lost a good 20 pounds when I really had nothing to lose in the first place. Yes the ulcer goes away completely but mine took all summer to go away. Yes they can come back but I'm told it's unlikely. Once you kill the bacteria you would have to be reinfected. You get it like the flu and if he happens to work in certain lower income areas like I do you are at higher risk of getting it as it's more prevalent mostly due to lower incomes not getting it treated (the cost of the cocktail is EXPENSIVE without insurance like several hundred dollars a pill). I did start with a acid reflex to help reduce the acid while they tried to figure out the problem. I assume he had an endoscopy to actually see the ulcer to know what you're dealing with. I feel great now, my stomach is better than ever, and I"m sure he will too. What is extremely important is to kill the bacteria because ulcers can turn into stomach cancer if left untreated too long, and stomach cancer is not easy to treat.
I'm convinced Kate has a stipulation she won't answer certain questions or that they are not allowed to put her on the spot. Lots of green celebrities require this until they get a bit more experience and if you don't like it you don't have to have them on their show. Now PR people don't recommend this because you get less interviews (there are certain news organizations that would laugh you out of the building if you try to give them off limits topics) but some celebs take the risk because they just don't even want to be questioned about certain things for whatever reason.
Women who put up with Charlie Sheen, women I consider martyrs really, get much harder questions. Women way less controversial than Kate get thrown some real zingers all the time. Wtf.
Cowardly, in any case.
Don't underestimate the value of Doing Nothing, of just going along, listening to all the things you can't hear, and not bothering. - Winnie the Pooh
Dear Kate,
Every day doesn't have to be a spastastic, drama filled event. It is ok to admit to not being busy 24/7. Geez. I can't stand when she lists her mundane to do list like its a feat. Doctor!Haircuts!Bla!Bla!Bla! - ALL BY 2PM. It's annoying. It's called life. You don't get an award for it and shouldn't need sheep accolades for every step you take.
Still don;t see how one organizes juice. It it by flavor? By child rations? How fun it must be to mastermind the mind boggling task of organizing juice. It comes in cases right? Store, and pull out to place in fridge as needed. There, you can even use that for your next CC blog.
Im sooo poor I can't afford milk and kids live on eggs...but I need CASES of freaking juice and ORGANIC SOUP. I thought kate made pots of soup to freeze? Did she forget her tradition of making batches of soup to be more thrifty? Soup is $2 a can. Make some chicken soup with your 100 lbs of chicken you nitwit.

That is so scary admin. It's so sad it took you so long to get diagnosed. I'm eager to go this this GI specialist. I'm not sure what procedure were done since he went to appointments alone. He was just told what it was today. He has to return Saturday. He is to sick to deal today so I couldn't ask too much. He's terrified. I guess the pain really scares him. I wish we would have checked this sooner because like you he has had stomach issue for 2 years. Everyone assumed it was from his many food allergies. I will get more facts on Saturday and let you know. Honestly I never knew much about ulcers and had no idea they were so bad. You always hear people casully say "you;re giving me an ulcer" so I always thought it was just stress burning your stomach" Had no clue how serious and painful they are. Thought of them as moer of an annoyance. Not a painful, serious hole in the stomach. I will be so much more sensitive now when someone tells me they had one after seeing him suffer
Hi Fairy. If you stay at home all day and never live life, you're probably safe from contracting most things. Good luck to you.
I don't know what really Kate has to complain about at the moment. She's not homeless, her and her kids seem to be getting by actually rather well without her being full-time employed. I mean, Kate still gets to travel, she still gets to call be out, she still gets to have Twitter parties where she can somehow give ill advice to teenagers not to mention medical advice. She still gets her monthly child support from Jon, still gets to travel even if its local while her kids are still young enough to be coaxed into playing "school" while on their vacation time so that she doesn't actually have to do anything with them.
None of her kids have been abducted, nobody's repossessed her vehicles or home. I am assuming she was able to indulge in salad and wine tonight as per her usual. None of her kids have real physical disabilities that she had to deal with daily.
Normal people worry about getting a refund in taxes or how to make payments on their home. Some people have to worry about putting bread on the table, do I pay for medicine or do I pay for food? Will I have food to eat today? Will my loved one come back from being stationed overseas alright? Will I get to do all those things I promised I would before this cancer takes over? Will I have time to regret anything?
No, for Kate it's just the stress of not having someone feed her bottomless need for fame and attention from her choice to have infertility.
@Em, you seem a very nice person, while I don't have dealings directly with ulcers one of my brother's did. Sometimes the hardest thing for a parent to do is watch a child suffer. Not that my parents showed much sympathy, they wanted tough kids. I know at least you and your son will have better days. I didn't have ulcers but I had two hernias repaired as a kid, probably not the same thing but like all things that hurt...they eventually will get better.
It was an honest question. Did you have the food poisoning or a stomach ulcer or both?
Can you get an ulcer from food poisoning?
Why are you so condescending?
Em the pain wasn't too bad for me, I've had worse, but the worst was the nausea. It's like feeling like you are constantly about to hurl at all hours of the day. Think stomach flu that lasts six months. It was such a relief to one day wake up after the meds were done and NOT wanna hurl. But what feels so awful will go away. It was ONLY in 1982 this h.pylori cocktail was discovered. I cannot imagine living permanently with such a thing and having doctors tell you you're just stressed. I was like I'm not stressed at all I'm enjoying life, work, etc! How did this HAPPEN?
Oh, there was a shout out to H.pylori in The Contagion. They talked about about how the doctor that discovered it actually ingested himself with the bacteria to see if the cocktail would work and how courageous that was. Hey, got him the nobel prize. H.Pylori got its 15 minutes of fame lol.
Lately Kate's interviews are so boring I can't even get through them all.....ugh, I have nothing to say about what little I watched of this latest one. A damn bacterial infection is more interesting.
Fairy I'm sorry I took your question as condescending......and I'm still suspicious.
I got salmonella poisoning years ago when I was studying abroad. I don't recommend it. My poo came out as tar--I think I mentioned this in a recap for some god knows why reason lol. H.Pylori I only just got two years ago or so. Yes, two completely different thing that one person can contract, at different times. I have all the luck when it comes to my stomach. I am very lucky to have only ever gotten things that will go away easily but I tend to get stomach things--maybe it's weak I don't know.
Fairy to answer your question I don't think food poisoning causes ulcers but I have no idea! I guess if you were retching to violently and so frequently you damaged your stomach? But the salmonella was years before I ever contacted h.pylori, that was over and done with. Ulcers are caused by the bacteria h.pylori--since this is a "recent" discovery a lot of the general public assumes they are caused by stress, etc. I did until my doctor explained it and I read everything I could find on it. It has absolutely nothing to do with stress. Zero. Stress only can make it worse, but does not cause it.
Anyway EM it's gonna be fine hang in there. The stomach has a remarkable ability to heal.
I have chronic pancreatitis myself. It sounds VERY similar to what you experienced. Pain, nausea, vomiting....only there is no cure. Except of course, eventually pancreatic cancer. Yay! JK
What are you suspicious of?
I am very, very interested on the disorders of the stomach because of my idiopathic pancreatitis daignosis. I guess I like to gather info hoping to try it myself. It's so draining. The condition, not the info gathering.
Health fairy I'm very very sorry I interpreted your post as condescending. You sounded just like a troll here who cannot believe that some of us go out and live our lives, and gasp, do things. Again I apologize. They always show up late at night too.
Health Fairy have you ever had an endoscopy? Have they ever taken a look inside your stomach to see if there is anything suspicious? If they see even the slightest spot they can take a biopsy of it and test and see if you have h.pylori. You may just have both who knows. TONS of people have h.pylori but are asymptomatic. You might as well check and see if you have it and strip it from your system--you might feel totally rejuvenated, like a tune up. I never realized how poor my health was for years until I stripped that out of my system. Oh my gosh.
One thing that I found about my GI doctor who was really the best of the best from USC, is that best of the best or not this kind of stomach science is no science at all. It is incredibly hard to diagnose some of these things and most treatments are NEW. Even h.pylori cocktails no one can agree what the best one is--there are like 20 different combos and each doctor prefers a certain one. Sigh. You have to be patient with it and try to describe your symptoms as detailed as you can to help the doctor.
The discussion tonight took an interesting turn lol. I like encouraging other people with stomach problems because I remember how hopeless I felt. I have never, ever in my life gotten anxiety or panic attacks or felt depressed but during that time I did. I felt like I was going to be an invalid and still be in my 20's. I wondered if I would be able to keep working. I took a brief leave of absence in my darn 20's. It was scary. I feel for you and everyone in your shoes. The stomach is something we take advantage of until it turns on you.
Hopeless....oh yeah.
I've had so many diagnostic tests from barium swallows to MRIs to CT scans and on and on...
I have found, after a very long time, the perfect mix of digestive enzymes that a pharmacist (and my specialist of course) make especially for me. You are correct, there is no exact science (or little) for digestive disorders.
As for health costs, I live in Canada and consider myself very blessed. Not sure how others do it.
I have never even thought of that h.pylori so I learned something new tonite! Thank you so much.
(I just used health fairy as a name because I guess I wish I had one)
Health Fairy I thought the same thing going through this. I have great insurance and only ever pay like 10 buck copays. This whole incident cost me maybe 200 bucks tops. I would have been tens of thousands of dollars in debt without insurance.
I had an endoscopy and some kind of food swallowing test thing where I ate a sandwich and they watched it go through, I forgot what that's called. I even had a head scan to be sure there wasn't some kind of tumor triggering pain in the stomach (yeah that's how stumped my awesome USC doctor was, this field would drive me crazy never knowing!). Tons of other blood, urine, etc tests. And then the cocktail which I about fell over knowing how much it would cost out of pocket.
The whole time I was thinking omg these poor people how the heck do they do it without insurance. The fact is they DON'T do it, they simply can't and don't treat the h.pylori and then it spreads around to everyone else. So sad. If everyone treated h.pylori we could probably eradicate the thing. An entire country that doesn't get ulcers. Think about it.

I think the test was a gastric emptying study? Did they x-ray every so often after you ate the egg sandwich? Sounds like one of the tests my little guy had last summer.
So glad you are healthy. GI disorders are nasty.
Fairy - what kind of digestive enzymes have you found helpful? Do they give you the ability to eat more foods or eat without pain?
Thanks for the OT discussion.
Tess, a combination of cotazym and pancrealipase along with motilium. Also, I must completely avoid fat and sugar. And this is really hard sometimes!
Sorry for hijacking the thread. Goodnight.
Sue Buddy - You nailed it again. Thanks for another spot on article.
EM - Positive thoughts heading your way.
Health Fairy - Thx. I'm glad the specialists were able to find something to help. My ds is on a an extremely restricted diet as well. It can be very tricky, not to mention a real emotional bummer. You are right about all the testing and few answers - lots of trial and error. Medicine is in need of major advances in understanding GI diseases. Best to you.
Thanks admin for allowing the OT.
Does anyone else see the video that was posted as a perfect example of Kate talking out of both sides of her mouth.
First they open with the announcement of her cruise (at a minimum of $1900/ticket plus fees, per person). Then in the next second she's talking about saving money by couponing.
Hey Kate, here's an idea; why not encourage your sheeple to save money by NOT going on your cruise and spending that $1900 per person fee on paying their bills, making sure their children are fed and clothed and setting some aside in a savings account for emergencies.
We live in tough economic times and while you spew the benefits of saving a few bucks while couponing, you are begging for people to spend thousands on a vacation in which you pocket, at a minimum, $800 a ticket.
It's a pathetic move and disingenuous to the thrifty saving mom that you are trying to portray.
You can't have it both ways. You look foolish when you try.
Here's an idea: pick a persona.
Either be kind, or be a bitch.
Either be a thrifty coupon mom, or be a grifting celebrity wanna-be. (and here's another clue: just because a dress may be free doesn't mean it looks good on you or suits your body shape).
I could come up with more options for you, but you seem to lack focus at times, so let's just start with those two.
Berks #167...
correct on all points!
Now, this tweet left me shaking my head
...My motto today:'I will make it thru this day...' (repeat often) A determined attitude helps remind me that I CAN DO ANYTHING...u can
too!:)
What she have to do? park in a fire lane and retrieve freebies? Organize 200 rolls of toilet paper? Buy 12 boxes of label maker tape?
Fix a paltry breakfast and take the kids to ride the bus, then go home to boss the housekeeper?
Why does this chick have to make life so freakin' HARD? 99% of the population could do what she does on a daily basis in less than an hour, and probably while doing something else as well.
Perhaps while counting those tp rolls she has to count each ply to make sure they are correct? Maybe she has to inspect each bottle of non-organic juice? Maybe her label maker over-heats and she has to wait for it to cool?
Kate's pearl of wisdom for today is "I can make it thru this day", which smack of an insult to everyone on the planet with real struggles. In fairness to her, she does have to get 8 kids up, fed, in to her Mercedes (BBB) and to the bus stop. Then, she must fill in another long day of alone time, tanning, running, shopping for juice boxes, and of course twittering, before it's back to the bus stop. And, if that wasn't enough, she has to pull out the paper bowls and plates and feed all 8 of them AGAIN. Oh, the humanity!
Her tweets make her sound like she is the only divorced mother out there with kids. But on top of that, she is not working a 9 to 5 job, so why does she constantly sound like her life is such a struggle? this is what really gets me going about her. Millions in the bank and all she can do is gripe and bemoan her life.
Wonder what her teen fans will spend their hard-earned babysitting money on for their queen's bday? Maybe Kate should sign up for the Target registry so she wouldn't have to be troubled with returns..ya know, since she's so BUSY.
ugh!
Whats her problem today....is the sick kid cramping her style. What's wrong?...can't do your 500 mile run today? Or did she find out that nobody wants to cruise with her? You know it's something stupid. If she had a real job she wouldn't be so consumed with herself. BTW... that clip of her saying that she works at home and does a little of everything=I have nothing to do all day so I'm trying to make it sound like I'm busy..........she is not good for my blood pressure....
Kate is great at playing the 'pity me' card. It work with all those interviews starting with her purse of bills and went on to the displaying of her pictures on the sofa, then recently to the hand-holding with Dr. Drew.
She is not a role-model. She isn't strong - she's weak whiny simpleton. She's constantly whining about how difficult her life is and how she's all 'alone in her aloneness'. Her sheeple feed off this tripe.
She's still pathetic, and is now showing how pathetic she is each pathetic tweet by pathetic tweet.
Gather has a new piece up concerning Kate's winner pick for American Idol...gee, I didn't know this show was still ON.
When the kiddies are home, how does a mother of EIGHT have time for a pee break, much less watch all the shows she has recently fessed to watching? (maybe she records then watches them during the day, idk).
I only have three kids left at home, they are all older than hers, and my tv doesn't get turned on until 10pm! guess I am not as organized with my cooking, cleaning, dogs, laundry, homework help, catching up with the kids, etc, as Kate is.
How Jon stood it all these years is beyond my comprehension. Some wives should be so lucky to have husbands help as much as he did.

Anonymous said...I couldn't care less about Kate Gossellin, never have, never will. But, I happen to have a friend who was at this event last weekend. Not only did she and her husband see Kate and her bodyguard, but they also saw Hugh taking photos.And - BREAKING "NEWS" - they also saw some rather interesting, um, "interactions", between Ms. Gossellin and the bodyguard.And - YES - they took their own photos, as anyone in a public place is free to do. So, it WILL be coming out very soon. Too bad for you that you didn't get the shot, Hugh, but my friend and her husband are rather happy about that as they are currently negotiating some decent payment with several media outlets. Highest bidder wins, of course.
The photog's article seems to have morphed a bit. More details in it now re: the carousel.
I saw Steve and Kate come out of the carousel room, she was on his right side and I believe I saw his arm around her waist but they it wasn't a snuggle kind arm wrap, it was a guiding one. Maybe he was consoling her because her dress was too short to ride the carousel, who knows. I didn't think anything of it.
Right. Knowing all that he does, he *didn't think anything of it*. Can you say back track fast 3 times...
Okay, it's 9am where Kate is today. Her day started what? three hours ago? If she took the kids to the bus stop, which I really doubt. I think she is just getting up and the nanny took the kids. What on earth could have happened in the getting the kids to school actions to prompt her "I will get through this day"? Now that is just sad. We've been up for an hour or so here and we are excited to start our day, busy planning all the possibilities that we could act on. Not desperately wishing it were over already. Normally, I feel mad when thinking about Kate, but today I feel sorry for her. She is going to spend today wishing the day away, being grouchy, maybe snapping at her kids. She will never understand that this day is one day of a limited number that she will get with her kids under her roof and is something to be embraced, not "gotten through". I'm starting to think that following and reading about her "poor me" attitude is not healthy to MY mental health!
Off to soak up some positivity!
I missed a whole day of reading here.
Ironically, it was because I was with my 94-year-old father-in-law who is in an assisted living home. Many issues. Lawyer, doctor, staff, etc. My sister-in-law drove 5 hours from WI and we pooled our energy for solutions. We sure lifted more than 6 cases of tiny juice boxes!
EM - I wish I could offer more help than just positive energy. You certainly have a heavy load right now. Please let us know what happens on Friday.
Sue Buddy - thanks...always.
I know I have a "community" here. Even with limited reading time, I didn't want to skip a post.
My morning coffee is gone and this days begins -- another trip to the facility were FIL resides. It is so sad to see a vibrant and productive life reduced to frailty.
Kate, I really do hope you have a good day. My advice -- GO DO SOMETHING UNSELFISH for someone else!!

I am actually pleasantly surprised by the non-snarky comments responding to this. Really thought I would be attacked for saying that. Maybe try to include new people more. I think alot of people who comment here just need a friend with a common interest. I won't be commenting again, but will still be reading :)

From the photog's latest twitter.....
I got a little caught up in Kate Gosselin mess. I wonder if she were nicer on show, wld it have still been popular & wld she have more fans
hmm @yokoono follows me. That's pretty exciting. So does Jane Fonda, but not Kate Gosselin anymore.
For as much as Kate supposedly hates paps, and in light of the previous Philly steps incident, why would she be following him anyway? Hmmmm....
Maybe Kate's bipolar mood swing to the dark side has something to do with the posting on the photographer's blog. Who knows if it's true or shit stirring, but someone else claims to have embarrassing pix of Kate and Short Bodyguard and Kate has no way to attack and silence this person. If its true, she has no control. If its bull, she has no control and she gets to fret for a while. Unless of course, she has nothing to hide, in which case it's all good no matter what

EM #154..
I read your post several times, and still don't know how to respond. How awful, a health scare, a silly gun charge and now a possible lay-off.
Just one of those crises is enough to send anyone into a tail-spin; how you are dealing with all three is nothing short of amazing.
I hope that everything in time comes out well for you and your family.
Prayers and Blessings to you and yours :)

Aggiemom, thanks for saying exactly what I wanted to say to EM.
Administrator, I am SO GLAD you responded to EM, because I was hoping you would. What an absurd charge, and it sounds like the attorney has totally mishandled this case, in addition to being unspeakably rude to his client. No way something like this should have ended up already costing you $30,000...my blood pressure is going up even thinking about it.
Sue Buddy #151, I am way behind on reading...now getting ready to read the next 79 comments, but I wanted to tell you that you absolutely knocked the ball outta the park w/ this one. I am in awe!!! Big Cyber Bear Hug!
Kate retweeted this:

"Crying isn't a sign of weakness, it's a sign of having tried too long hard to be strong for too long."
Good freaking Lord Kate what happened to you this week that is so dang....TERRIBLE??? Maybe yet another network turned down your pilot idea?
Also I am with Ellen, either say what is on your mind, or don't say what is on your mind, but stop being such an annoying tease.
Anon 81 Admin made no claim to sainthood. She claimed to be leading a productive life. Your personal attack is silly. Maybe you need to find something more rewarding to do with your own life.

Getting busted for something she publicly claimed isn't true? :)

Is this really all this is? Is she still harping about this? Heck her HATERS don't even like this photographer guy anymore? I mean she really needs to move on. She "won", move on!
'Old' GWOP poster, now just a lurker here! Just continuing OT a bit: Anyone with unexplained GI symptoms (especially if you also have food allergies), *please* go to apfed.org and read up on Eosinophilic Esophagitis. Many GIs don't know to test for it (requires specific biopsies during endoscopy). We were 'lucky', and my then-6 year old was diagnosed by an observant GI. I had never heard of it before the diagnosis, and I'd hate to think that others are suffering from this disorder and being misdiagnosed/not diagnosed at all.
This pap guy needs to go away. If someone else has pics, let them POST THEM and let the pics SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES AND SHUT UP.
I don't think a photo with Steve's arm around her is much of a smoking gun. Lots of people do that when you are guiding someone. Personally I don't LIKE having that done to me but I'm sure someone like Kate just loves being herded by pizza boy.
Gather has a new piece up concerning Kate's winner pick for American Idol...gee, I didn't know this show was still ON.

She watches AI too???? So now we have she watches The Voice (two hours Monday nights), Dance Moms, American Idol (don't watch is that two hours too?), Giada, am I missing anything? That's quite a bit of prime time for one busy mommy. I thought she didn't have time for anything. Maybe the cable went out and that's why she's so upset.
I've come to the conclusion this woman tweets, gets up, drives the kids 10 minutes to the bus stop, goes to Target/WholeFoods, tweets, pours some salt-laden cans of beans in a crock pot, tweets, watches TV, and puts the orphans to bed. Then tweets GN followed by 20 more tweets.
I don't believe for one minute that Kate and this Hugh photographer guy set up something. I think that, if I believe the above poster about some saucy photos from an anonymous commenter on Hugh's article of Kate and Steve at the function, Kate mistakenly thought that Hugh took those. After all, Hugh made it sound like he had something really big. Now it appears that perhaps someone else got those shots. Let's face it, if Steve put his hand anywhere on Kate's body, somebody is looking for that shot. Time will tell if TMZ or Radar comes out with anything, but it would not surprise me that those two would finally make a mistake.
Realitytvkids.com (Administrator) has left a new comment on the post "Lifetime swiffers controversial Dance Moms episode...":
~~~
EM, if I may just chime in here a moment (a bit late, i guess - still catching up).
I was also on the h. pylori cocktail years ago. It is hard! Like Admin said you do actually feel worse while you are on it. My doctor said many people stop taking it b/c it makes them so sick.
EM, make your son keep taking it. He will feel so much better when it is over.
Another thing Em, you can ask his doctor about is increasing his acid intake. Sounds counter-intuitive but it does work for some people. there is research that suggests stomach problems may be caused by a lack of acid not an over-abundance. I take 1000-1500 mg of plain old vitamin C a day and it eliminated any acid reflux. My brother takes a HCL supplement, which does the same thing.
EM, sorry about all your troubles. As someone else said, when it rains it pours. Keep on keepin' on!
Mel #75...Very, very interesting.
Anonymous #81...I'm very good at recognizing writing styles. You sound exactly like the person who got snippy w/ Administrator and me a few days ago: Great vocabulary, great writing ability, perfect grammar/punctuation, with an uncanny ability to be snotty, insulting, rude, and condescending. Just like money can't buy class, having a way with the English language doesn't make you any less a bitch.
Kate for the love of God please get a job, volunteer, or find something else to fill up your days. You won't have time to be sorry for yourself. When you're out there doing work for others, it makes you feel good and can help bring you out of whatever stupid funk you are in.
Anonymous attacks are from cowardly people. Post your name and say what you have to say, if it's that important to you. Questioning the motives of other people is just silly. How do you prove what motives another has?
The only reason you attack Admin is because you simply don't agree with her position on a has-been reality 'star'- ADMIT IT. You don't care about her job or her student loan, you care about her opinion on Kate Gosselin. How ridiculous are you? Beyond measure.
People have used their support of Kate as an excuse to attack others in their personal lives. Someone needs to write a book on this crazy situation.
Workplaces have been contacted, homes have been called, reputations have been damaged, blogs have been created to bash other blogs/bloggers, and even now, people come to this blog to place crytic attacks on other bloggers.
What's interesting is that overall it's not the crazy "haters" who are behaving like this, it's Kate's FANS! Allison Argrim said on Twitter that Kate's fans were the worst people she'd ever seen.
Admin is entitled to her opinion and the fans are entitled to theirs. There is no need to personally attack people for not agreeing with you.
They care so much about us yet I don't are who her fans are. I just sort of picture a flock of sheep and I'm content with that.
Admin, hell yeah, Kate sounds bored and in her head. They say to be careful what you wish for...she is supporting her kids (for now) without having to do much for it. There's nothing wrong with saying, hey this doesn't suit me. I'm bored or unfulfilled or whatever and want to go back to work. I have several retired acquaintances who went back to work for the stimulation. Kreider ain't getting a talk show. Today she could choose to move on
Ugh, Kate's got a new blog, why did I read this.........poor kids got the third degree for an entire dinner and after about a stupid globe. Good grief. And the kids get it splashed all over the internet that they are LIARS. Again.
Gee Kate, where do you think your kids learned their lying ways?
From my google reader: did not give her a hit.
I read through this and couldn't find a lesson...except maybe that when mom goes into her 'room' and shuts the door, I wonder who is watching the kids.
Lessons Learned from the Gosselin Globe
Recently, my kids learned a very important lesson. As I was straightening the family room the other day, I noticed that our globe that sits on an end table between two chairs (likely you’ve seen it on our show!) was missing half of its equator! Someone had peeled it back and in the process had “wiped out” parts of a few countries!
Disgustedly, I hauled it to the kitchen and got out my super glue gel. I glued it back together and figured it was “good as new,” but it nagged at me. Who, of my kids, would deface property and think nothing of it? I am very clear with them about respecting our own belongings and especially others belongings. It’s an important lesson and I have taught it well, or so I thought…
So, to remind me to ask them, I placed it on the kitchen counter with a post it note (of course!) that said “please leave this here for now.” Anything without a note disappears around here so a post it note was necessary, in case you are wondering! Tonight at dinner, as we were eating, I causually mentioned the defaced globe and asked if “anyone did it or saw someone else doing it.” I received eight affirmative “NO” replies!
I went around the table and asked each child personally, staring into their eyes, if they did the damage or saw anyone doing it. I received the same eight convincing “NO” answers. I assured them that NOW was the time to be honest and escape the consequences. I was willing to accept it as a small mistake and move on. I told them that this was more about honesty and way less about the damage to the globe!
Next, as my kids finished their spaghetti, home made bread and brussels sprouts, I explained to them that in life if you commit a crime OR witness one and don’t report it, you are always guilty and the choice to not report the crime is also a crime!!!! I asked again. I received eight “NOs” yet again! At this point, all eight were eating their ice cream popsicles and it was Cara who decided that Joel looked very guilty. Everyone heartily agreed! So, I questioned him extensively, received his continual denials, and then proceeded to rinse the dishes, giving them all a break from the”Gosselin court of law!” I heard them become their own jury as they turned to each other and questioned one another.
Mady spoke up and told a story about something that happened in her class at school. She explained that someone had done something very wrong and the teachers could not figure out who did it so they passed out 3X5 cards and asked each student to write what, if anything, they knew about the situation. This gave the students a chance to confess without an audience. Mady had an idea! She suggested that I ask each child to put their head down and close their eyes and if they knew something, they were to raise their hands! I liked the suggestion and did it… and…
NO ONE RAISED THEIR HAND!!!
continued because word count is too long.
continued from previous.
I was frustrated and disappointed at this point because I felt like I had a group of lying kids on my hands – something I have always harped against!!!! How could this be happening? SO, I reminded them one last time that NOW was the consequence free time to confess and they could do it now and escape the guilt that would eat at them later! I decided I would let guilt be the natural punishment!
No one came forward.
Chores followed dinner and dessert and I went on my way…In my busyness, I honestly forgot about it.
Not long after I had left the kitchen, I was in my room finishing up some work, and I heard a tiny knock at my door. A daughter entered and in a very small precious voice she said “mommy, it was me…” I didn’t instantly know what she meant so I said “what?” And she replied “It was me who peeled the globe; I’m sorry.”
I could do nothing else in that moment but grab her and hug her tight. I whispered “thank you” through my tears and told her that her confession was “a little late” but I could tell that she had already punished herself enough, so I didn’t need to. I reminded her how very important it is to “always tell the truth” and asked her to always “remember the globe” so that next time she would proudly offer the truth because it is right and also so that she could avoid that awful feeling of guilt!
She nodded assurance while I continued to hug her. And I had one last request: I told her that I would not tell anyone else that it was her, but that she needed to quietly go to Joel and apologize for letting him “take the heat” for her because everyone assumed he had been the culprit. She agreed… hugged me really tight and ran off to play…
No one ever told me that being a mom would be this difficult…it is amazing the lessons we can all learn when we take the time to handle each situation with love! I have a feeling that my girl will remember that globe for a very very long time.. Not only because she has personally seen much of it, but also because it has taught her a lesson in honesty!
XOXO
K8
Berks, you didn't catch the lesson? The lesson was raising eight kids, eight! Is HARD because they are lying liars and you have to spend your entire dinner and evening questioning them like it's Guantanamo Bay. I'm surprised she didn't resort of water boarding. This whole thing really cut into her The Voice me-time, it was exhausting.
Maybe she needs to ask herself why her kids are SO petrified not to just come to her right away when they break a globe. There's no reason a kid shouldn't be able to walk up to their mother and say oops I'm sorry I peeled this off, and have it be fine.
Also Kate, f-u for calling your kids liars on the internet. And in your book too.
Oh no - I read it too! (on my G-reader, not giving her any clicks)
I want to puke now. What a disgusting person she is.
Disgustedly, indeed!
At least she was honest about harping all the time.
I'm surprised she didn't waterboard them Admin.
She's so pathetic, she calls everyone liars and accuses the innocent and then BLOGS about it like the kids had a lesson to learn.
The lesson should have been that she shouldn't have been so quick to jump on the bandwagon and JUDGE JOEL like the rest did. Story of her life with her sheeple.
Why did she BLOG about this? Now everyone will want to know which girl it was that lied. She's a piece of work...like a moldy stinking piece of cheese stuck in the back of her sub-zero fridge.
She "disgustedly" marched the globe to the kitchen and promptly stuck a post it note on it. Oh noooo not the post its, anything but the post its!!! Does she know how batshit crazy she sounds? What a head case. This woman is in the middle of a mental breakdown. It's a stupid globe! It can't possibly warrant such a reaction She needs therapy. Lots of it.
Okay, Kate., maybe you can learn the lesson from your child and stop lying yourself. And nice how Joel is the family scapegoat even amongst his siblings. You are an awful mother period
I have a feeling that my girl will remember that globe for a very very long time.. Not only because she has personally seen much of it, but also because it has taught her a lesson in honesty!
...............................................
Personally seen much of it... but really how much are they going to remember? She is such an incredible excuse for a mother and a raving B*tch
Of course the globe on the counter needed a post it note on it..otherwise the housekeeper would have returned it to its proper place.
When did she apologize to Joel and the other seven about accusing them of something they didn't do? Spending their entire dinner and evening accusing them of something they had nothing to do with. What a pleasant and relaxing evening after school THAT sounds like. Not!
And I love how the child that did it gets to be unnamed. I guess the girls are allowed confidentiality. But Joel is splashed all over the article. Joel probably looked guilty because he was petrified he was about to get punished for something he didn't do again.
I thought the big reveal was going to be it was a cheap-o globe that peeled itself off on its own and she needs to grift a new one from the sheeple. I also thought she would make some tie in with vacations and globes. Color me surprised.
"Crying isn't a sign of weakness, it's a sign of having tried too long hard to be strong for too long."
-------
Oh good grief. What happened, Kate? One of your four freezers or two washer/dryer sets quit? Maybe one of your three vehicles needs its oil changed? Maybe your label maker broke? Maybe that good bra of yours finally snapped? Can't find your running shoes? Maybe Steve isn't returning your calls?
Oh do tell us, Queen, tell the huddled masses your problems...
The look on Joel's face wasn't guilt, because he wasn't guilty. It probably was, "Oh here we go again. Mom's gonna piss and moan until someone fesses up and if no one fesses up, I'm getting attacked in some way.". F-U Kreider. You suck
Geez, THAT'S the emotional mother's tale?? I thought it would be someone diagnosed with an illness or had a bad accident...a peeling globe?? The poor kids are probably too scared of 'penalty of severeness' to admit such minor misdeeds. What if later on one gets into trouble with the law, gets pregnant, drugs, all the horrors of teenage years some parents face. If she CRIES over this silly incident, how would she react and be there to support the 'offending' kid?
What 'important' lesson did the children learn this time? That their mother makes mountains out of molehills and never admit/confide anything to her.
Who sits all of her kids together and berates them to announce in front of EVERYONE who did something. And then to encourage them teaming up against another kid (poor Joel always seems to be on the wrong end of this). How about talking individually to each child about it instead of scaring someone into confessing. Good grief.
Or talking to them as a group to say no one should ever be afraid to come tell mommy if something happens and that you don't care who hurt the globe but in the future to come tell mommy right after it happens so you can talk about it. etc. etc.
I can think of about 100 different ways she could have handled it. Wow.
And that's not evening talking about the part where she then posts it for all the world to see and for teh Sheeple to try to guess what poor kid had the audacity to touch something in the house!
Who thinks one of the girls just took one for the team? The globe probably pealed itself (I'm sorry those cheap globes DO sometimes peal). Kids probably finally just said f-this I'm tired of my entire night being ruined I'l just say I did it. Poor kid.
It sounds like a prison lining these poor kids up and demanding someone confess who stole an extra crust of bread. Who cares, maybe he was hungry!
Once a Viewer years from now when she finds a pregnancy test in the garbage channeling that very special Bev. Hills 90210 episode what will she do, line them up, ALL RIGHT WHO IS PREGNANT FESS UP OR I'LL STICK A POST IT ON YOU!!!
What a complete and utter bitch, on oh so many levels. And this is what she has to piss and moan about on a daily basis? Try turning the tv channel from reality shows to real news, Kate.
But she did manage to mention that they were eating "homemade" bread with their spaghetti. Homemade to her is like organc, neither of which I believe. And brussls sprouts with spaghetti? She makes some strange meals.
Such a hard and pathetic life. Not. Such a tool.
The first thing I picked up on was the "disgustedly" remark and then the fact that she had to NAME what her children were eating to once again make her appear to be the perfect mother.
She didn't know being a parent "could be this hard." Give.Me.A.Break. You are a NUTCASE.
She is mentally ill that it is frightening.
I, in no way, want to be associated with the whackadoos on Twitter, because they are a different breed, but I hate this woman.
Kate's globe is pealing meanwhile in other news, the Syrian death toll is 10,000.
She can't have any sheeple left. It's impossible.
This so reminds me of the episode where the knob came off one of the dressers, and she accused and yelled at the boys about it. I think whoever said that she is playing her life as "episodes" was completely correct.
She also just had to mention what they were eating for dinner-what's with that?
She berates them throughout dinner, and then says "Chores followed dinner and dessert and I went on my way…In my busyness, I honestly forgot about it."
In a blog about honesty-she can't even be honest.
She's still using her kids for the entertainment of her fans. And people wonder why she's called a bitch.
*so mentally ill
Kate, get over yourself! Its a cheep ass plastic globe! It was never a treasure. You were just looking for something to blow up about. The girl may have taken one for the team. I dont know. If the girl did it then Kate is not teaching her any lessons by letting her get off. How much do you want to bet it was Hannah the golden child?
If the girl lied at dinner and on top of that accused Joel of looking guilty at dinner then she needs to be punished for lying. I dont care about the globe. It probably started to peel off by itself. All she did tonight was teach her children that lying is ok.
Am I the only one who wonders how she even noticed something as minor as a missing equator? I wonder if she daily walks by everything in her house inspection it to make sure it hasn't been moved or touched or breathed on. No wonder she's so tired.
With every word she spews she continues to prove what a horrible, wretched excuse she is for a parent.
Who in the world has to put a sticky note on a freakin' globe? good grief she makes life so hard.
Gee, Kate, you didn't pay for the dang globe, it was another TLC freebie, so shut up already.
There are so many examples of abusive parenting in that blog, it's hard to know where to start addressing them.
Those poor kids. Wonder what she'd do when, as teenagers, one of them backs the car into the garage wall? We all saw the wrath of Kate about a little door knob....
Kate,shut the f+++ up...We have it on tape, she said Keven would take punishment FOR HER as a child...so who is the liar, Kate?
I read but don't usually comment. She is just disgusting, those poor kids! At least they have learned one lesson in life: that they will need to stick together and put up a united front against that monster!
HB NJ mom
Melissa, good point! I don't think I would notice something like that for years! Then years later when I notice the kids would have no recollection whatsoever who broke it.
Are you the same Melissa from Dance Moms? I heard you're "not a fan". Hehehe jk.
I am going with this "take one for the team" theory. Notice it was a girl. Probably Hannah. THe kids conspired to send the golden child as the sacrificial lamb to just shut Kate up, knowing Kate wouldn't do much to her but hug her. I don't believe any of those kids broke that globe.
"Chores followed dinner and dessert and I went on my way
&&&
Notice how she was in her bedroom. Sounds like she paused to eat dinner, berated them for awhile, then when she was done with the water boarding she went off to sulk in her room and watch The Voice.
Just when you think her blogs can't get any more outrageous.
O M G....I can't stop laughing...is she for real? Is anybody buying this? I think she ran out of things to write about. If this is her biggest problem...WOW...A globe???????? WTF...this is a joke...right? this woman is ill..
How come everyone keeps saying Kate should be more concerned with global happenings, specifically Syria?
Oh I don't know because you should have an awareness of what's happening around you as a fellow human being?
If she were remotely aware of what other people were going through, she would realize how trite she sounds. Maybe. From Syria to just a sheeple putting a loved one in a home, she's clueless about real struggles.
Hey Kate why get up set when the kids lie.?
You lie all the time about everything all the time. So mommy can be a lie and the kids can't.?
Ha Admin. Not the same Melissa. Just a long time reader, seldom poster who's mildly bored at work and not smart enough to come up with a catchy User Name besides just using my first name!
Oh good lord - Kate is blogging about something as mundane as a cheap ass globe?! She's is either bored or completely off her rocker - probably a combination of both. With 8 kids in the house, she's going to have a lot more things "ruined" than a POS globe.
I know someone that has pretty much the same personality of Kate and she every time she opens her mouth a lie falls out. She is raising one daughter - thankfully, not 8 - and her daughter is a habitual liar just like she is. Besides that, all kids will lie to get out of getting in trouble. Kate is delusional to think that simply because she tells them not to lie that they won't - plus, they are learning from her example. Good luck when you have 8 teenagers.
She is a classic case study in Histrionic Personality Disorder - she always brings the topic at hand back around to herself - her favorite subject. "No one ever told me being a mom would be this difficult" - SERIOUSLY???!!! It will get a lot harder as they get older, so toughen up lady. I thought she was trying to promote herself as a "do it all" single mom with positivity and strength blowing out her butt. If so, why the dramatics over a peeling globe?
This almost seems like a metaphor for her life - the layers are peeling away!
1. She kept the girl anonymous, but named Joel even though he didn't do anying. Nice.
2. What busy mother of EIGHT has time to notice something like that? A very NON-busy person, that's who.
3. Nice dinner, being grilled throughout. I don't believe for one hot second that she was just calmly asking them who did it. I've seen her in action. Does she forget there are 150 episodes of her freakouts? Does she forget we've SEEN them?
4. Her entire point is that SHE'S NEVER DEALT WITH THIS BEFORE. She claims it's never happened before. So in nearly 12 years of parenting eight kids, she's claiming she's never dealt with a mass denial about a broken object in the house. One of two things is happening here: she's lying and she has dealt with this before or she's been so incredibly uninvolved as a parent for the last 12 years that SHE really has never experienced this before.
What a piece of work.
And how was I, as a mom, supposed to find that story inspirational? I found it creepy. It gave me the chills reading about the hours long interrogations.
I also don't believe for a seond that when anonymous child confessed, she just hugged her and cried. Nope.
She's showing how out of touch she is if she thinks this is some horrible thing parents have to deal with. Finding something slightly damaged in the house? With eight kids? That's called LIFE. Hell, that's a Family Circus cartoon. That's too minor for Erma Bombeck to have written about.
If she wrote about dealing with some real significant parenting issue, people MIGHT pay attention. Nah, she'd still be an asshole.
Of course, all her tweeties are applauding her-this one especially made me cringe.
paige_kate8fan
@Kateplusmy8 aw cute story:) I love how we can Imagine when we read ur blogs because we know your kids and house so it's like watching k+8:D
Too bad that Kate doesn't get paid the big bucks for writing that blog.
There is so much to pick apart in this blog, but I'll just mention two things for now--
" I explained to them that in life if you commit a crime OR witness one and don’t report it, you are always guilty and the choice to not report the crime is also a crime!!!!"
Wasn't Kate involved in a hit and run?
"I am very clear with them about respecting our own belongings and especially others belongings."
Like the vacuum cleaner she dragged over the rocks in the RV episode? I'm sure there are other instances, but can't think of them at the moment.
Oh and here's my educated guess as to why she's been so down the last couple of days:
It's 2-3 days post-TLC contract and networks aren't beating down her door! In fact, no one is beating down her door! No new show. No talk show. No interviews. No one wants her to design a running shoe. No one wants to publish the cookbook she hasn't written.
She doesn't give a shit about some little speaking engagement in Missouri (though it's one of her only chances for attention left in this calendar year, it seems). The cruise isn't getting too many people taking the bait. She supposedly has some half-marathon in June and will be thrilled to get away from the kids for a few days then, but what else?
Nothing.
I think the TLC perks continued right up through the end of the contract and now they're OVER. I'm even suspicious the hired kid help was from TLC. Reality is kind of crashing into her right now and she doesn't like it one bit.
Only a die hard fan would want Kate to get the big bucks for that piece of garbage. This is getting comical!!!!!!!!!!!! Ha...
Good freaking Lord Kate what happened to you this week that is so dang....TERRIBLE???
Getting busted for something she publicly claimed isn't true? :)
______________
Well we know that she's a liar so I bet it did happen and she is freaked out that she's going to be exposed as a mistress.
I see. So in the grande scheme of things, Kates random posts dont mean much?
Kat 139=
Just want to be clear-I was the one who made the comment about the big bucks, although I wouldn't be surprised if some fans are thinking it.
The Tale of Gosselin Lint
I find lint everywhere!!!! It's maddening!!!! As a mom, no one told me how much lint I would deal with! Every time the dryers are done: LINT!!! Sometimes I even find lint on the floor and it's saddening. I taught my kids to never leave lint around the house. In fact, I found such a giant glob of lint in Joel's room, that I put a post it note on it to remember to grill him about it. I didn't raise them this way!!!
Sometimes, there's even lint in the washing machines.
We had a Gosselin family meeting over my homemade brioche and tater tot soup casserole (Crock Pot, 18 hours). I looked around at each face as the camera pa---I looked around at each face and demanded disgustingly to know who did the dastardly deed, who brought lint into this house?
They are all liars. Later, though, to my disgust, I found lint in my own belly button. THAT DID IT. I got the axe, woke M&C up, ordered them to unharness the preschoolers so they could get out of bed, too, and join me in the garden. NOW. THE STUDIO OWES ME!!! THE STUDIO OWES ME!!! LIKE ROYALTY, HE SAID!! ROYALTY!!!
This is priceless!
Fired Up 4 Kate @MiloandJack
@Kateplusmy8 Every child at 1 pt. will lie..human nature 2not admit guilt. Teach them early life's lesson of "reaping what U sow" = success!
Milo, who will teach Kate about reaping and sowing, or is it too late for that?
A couple things really bother me about her blog.
1. I hope this is her personal blog and not CC
2. Yeah, she went there, she mentioned "our show"
3. Did she put the kids under hot lights and walk around the table while she was at it?
4. Why mention food? Just why?
5. Nice. Always mention the boy but never the girl. What? Is her house by rank? That the ones you dislike get mentioned and the ones you do don't to save them from blog humiliation?
I guess however in a way her kid got off easy, maybe. My mother used to make us line up if someone had done something and if we didn't confess to it she chose a random sibling to punish to make the person who did it feel guilty so they wold confess.
OT--Admin, you got me thinking yesterday, about food poisoning and abroad. Is this a common occurrence? Just asking because it's the last thing I would have thought about. Just my trips planned and I'd hate to have to deal with it if it is common. I've never had it.
Tina, get out of that bed.
**Rescue the Gosselin Eight**
Agree Dallas Lady....but Kates been in a bad mood longer than a few days. She's been snapping at people on twitter for the last 2 weeks. It just seems to be getting worse lately...I do think she's starting to feel a little insecure about her contract being up...first she was angry now she seems like she's in some kind of funk....the reality of her situation is smacking her right in the face right about now....
I feel another Sue Buddy post coming.
What did Joel sow? He was innocent.
Kat, yep. She knew it was coming. Was probably afraid of it ending. But now it has ended.
It's REALLY over for her on TV, and maybe, even though we could see this coming from miles and miles away, she REALLY thought she'd just get another high-paid job in the public eye. In fact, I'm sure she thought so. TLC let her get that CC gig, might have even found it for her, to appease her and assured her it might lead to bigger things.
And now maybe the cold reality that all she has is a part-time blogging job is hitting her between the eyes. Hard. The way she's living, any money she has saved up, will run out, and it'll run out long before the kids are 18.
HELP ME, PLEASE! MY GLOBE IS PEELING! HELP ME! HEEEEELLLLLPPPPP... ANYONE, ANYWHERE...PLEEEEEASE! MY GLOBE....IS....PEELING. MY GLOBE, MY DEAR PRECIOUS GLOBE...IS ...P E E L I N G.
I guess Kate's parents never taught her that lying isn't a good thing
@136..Sorry...sounds like something her worshipers would say....and probably thinking..
Kate is clearly a BULLY!, poor kids, have to live with a BULLY!
Since of the kids, fessed up, then I would do a reasonable punishment, like take it out of all their allowances to pay for fixing it, or other lesser punishment, like extra chores, not let one kid think that if he takes the blame BULLY Kate will leave the others alone. Shame on Kate, those kids are very afraid of her. I wonder if she would have treated the kid that came forward the way she did if they were one of the boys?
boys=look like Jon, boys are icky
Jon=Kate hates Jon for ruining her plans
poor boys
I hope Joel's MOM apologized to him in front of the other kids. What a bitch.
I think she's still harping indirectly at the photographer. About his alleged lies (that she was so brilliant to recognize as lies before he even opened his mouth). And yeah, she's taking her frustrations out on the kids. Was probably thrilled to see the globe because it gave her an excuse to attack the kids.
My question is this: what would Kate have done if one of the kids cane up to her and said "I broke the globe" right when it happened? Guess it depends if you're a girl or boy but my bet is that it would have been unpleasant.
But thumbs up, Kate, for making homemade bread. Eye roll
A couple of thought here:
1) For those of you who think this is yet another tempest in a teapot, think about this: How is one to decide which "dream" spots the show should be filmed in without a globe? It's not like Katie Irene has a general sense of basic geography.
And on the other hand:
2) Those equator lines do kind of look like the "cut along the dotted line" bags that most of the prepackaged food comes in.
I'm glad the guilty daughter remembered to KNOCK ON THE DOOR before entering the Queen's parlor, lest there be some REAL penalty of severeness!
Ugh, those poor kids. Dinner must have been absolute hell that night.
Dallas Lady: loved the Tale of the Lint! However, now Kate will have nothing to post next week, lol.
..and I agree about her strange meal combos- spaghetti & brussell sprouts? I like both but not together??
Anyone remember knobgate? Even as toddlers the kids were afraid to tell.
Wait a minute, Kate. Aren't you the same person who said that your brother when you were little take YOUR punishment for you when you did something wrong?
Oh, I see. You want your kids to be honest with you but you've already admitted that wasn't what you did growing up. Even your brother sold you out about it. Remember, "Kate not did, I did?"
I mean kids learn what they see it's not that hard to figure out. How quickly we forget the doorknob episode and how quickly you jumped on the boys.
Why does she seem to dislike them so much? Little boys are awesome!
Great idea Kate, assume one is guilty in front of everyone yet let the one who comes after you said it was too late off scot-free. I hope you have no aspirations to work in a court of law.
Amazingly, I typed in a post this morning that I hated to hear her say DETERMINED, because in my mind that means she is going to bulldog the kids around. I clicked out without posting. She makes me sick.
I just got it. All these "stories" she writes for her blog. She's still trying to sell herself and the kids as a show. See, look: the peeling globe incident! The baby colors conversation! Even the dog can write his own episodes.
She's pitching her kids though the blog on her website. Look at her tweet about it: "an emotional parenting story..." and "I'll never forget..." Sounds like a damn movie trailer.
Kate, you need to forget about any cameras. They're gone. Start treating your kids like YOUR KIDS and not extras in the movie of your life. You kept insisting the kids stay on the air and you keep getting the fat paychecks because there was "no going back" to normal life. Well, guess what? You were wrong. Normal life (no cameras to document your every shit-fit and no paychecks) is slapping you right in the over-tanned face. Take your own sappy advice and deal with it.
Well, FU from me, too, Kreider. I don't visit her blog or CC or anywhere she posts, just read here.
Poor Joel - poor all of them. Yes, respect property, but things happen. I guess I'm doing it all wrong - when accidents or curiosity or what-have-you gets the best of my guy, I help him understand how to clean up, &/or fix &/or make amends without interrogation or shame, or punishment.
All I could see is those kids having to endure her eye bulging inquisition while trying to fill their tummies after a long day of school etc... The tension must have been horrible. It sucks that Joel (well, any of them) is the family scapegoat. For all she knows, they have all figured out who she will excuse the easiest and they take the blame. Kids do eventually find a way to work with what they have, to preserve whatever sanity possible. Who knows...
And WTH is she doing posting about it online anyway. Nothing like calling your kids liars in public. Nice "mothering" there. Gestational Carrier - whoever named her that is absolutely accurate. That's all she was/is - nothing more.
She is insufferable.
It seems that the G8, kids have learned a life lesson real quick: they learned to protect each other, from their own mother. I'm sure all 8 knew who did it, If you read it carefully, those kids were protecting each other and going along to less a punishment, that Kate, fail to mention they got. Kids, don't tell on sibs, knowing what punishment might happen. Abused children protect each other, give the parent what she wants, or lie, to protect, even one kid might confess, to save the rest from punishment. KATE IS A BULLY!
And she tweeted about the horrible globe story again. Twice in two hours.
Hey Kate, I read it. It made me sick and disgusted the first time, I certainly don't want to feel that way again.
Also, you aren't getting another TV show.
So was writing that blog, the "paperwork" she had to deal with?
This blog is so full of inconsistencies-is it just me?
"Chores followed dinner and dessert and I went on my way....Not long after I had left the kitchen, I was in my room finishing up some work... I didn’t instantly know what she meant...She agreed… hugged me really tight and ran off to play…"
So the gist of it is that she grilled them during dinner, then after chores and dessert went to her room and instantly forgot all about it. Then after the "confession", the hugs, the tears, the talk, the girl ran off to play.
Shouldn't it have been bedtime by then?
It makes no sense-but then, when have any of Kate's blogs done so?
Yet you did it.
That made me a little nauseous. She tormented those kids during dinner, over a globe. It wasn't about teaching them a lesson - it was about having a reason to exert her power over them. And who in the hell stays in their "room" all the time when they have 8 kids in the house. I personally don't ever recollect having referred to my bedroom as my room. Like someone said we have seen her in action and I don't believe for a minute it went down that way. Poor little Gosselins.
OT for Marie: go to www.cdc.gov/travel to see immunization guidelines for international travelers. Hepatitis A can be caught from contaminated food and there its a vaccine for that. Put on your destination and you can see cdc recommendations for travelers to that country. Norovirus outbreaks happen on cruise ships every so often, no vaccine got that unfortunately.
What kind of ladeeda mother closes her bedroom door to "work" (as if..) when 8 young children are still awake and running about in the house? I know I never could... Whatever I was doing, however busy I was, I needed to keep an ear atune to the "background music" of my children at play. It always was sweet music to my ears. It also served as a great "upcoming fight" detector and a very sensitive "danger ahead" smelling device...
Berks Neighbor @ 85 ... Thank you friend for the info. The lies and twists are too complicate for me and I appreciate your info! And I appreciate you and the many posters here who can offer information and NOT call me names, question my IQ, and accuse me of conspiracy to destroy the Milky Way. :)
Kate is one of those people who when politely asked "How are you?" Goes off into a 20 minute tangent on how hard her life is.
Like I said be for Kate lies so much she's can't keep up with the lies she tells or writes.
Kate you lie so much I bet you starting to confuse yourself.
Kreider, let's see... You're harping like a chimp about respecting other people's property. How are your kids to know this when you get to stay in a beautiful beach house in NC for free and decide it's a great place for your kids to
have a food fight? Why didn't you blow a gasket when the kids ran around the store with a giant display Croc, with shoes on glass display stands all around? Is it just YOUR stuff that needs to be respected? Bitch
Is anyone else having trouble getting to the next page of comments. Everytime I click on "newest" it just returns me to the first page.
I'm not surprised that Kate was mean to the kids and then posted about it.
However I'm surprised that she knows what an equator is since she only lives in her world.
Imagine if Joel did the deed what his punishment would be after the big red spoon. I can't even picture her hugging any of her children and speaking calmly to them.....not even Hannah.
Who wants to name this episode of Kate Plus 8?
Gosselins and Globes?
The Most Depressing Dinner Ever?
Who Fucking Ruined the Equator?
Once again, F U Kreider!!
Health Fairy, have you or your docs considered a stent in your pancreatic ducts? It helped me. And do you still have your gallbladder?
Wow--I'm glad there is so much information on ulcers and gastric problems on this post. After reading about the globe caper and the resulting Inquisition, I might need a gastric emptying test!
Good Lord, that new blog of hers is truly mind bogeling. It's a friggin' globe Kate! She is channeling Joan Crawford only with Kate instead of wire hangers it's NOOOOOOOOOOOO PEEEEEEELING THE EQUATOR OFF THE GLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOBE!!!! Those poor kids must be terrified of making a wrong move.
I agree, indirect dig at the photog guy. She was *really* bent out of shape about what she perceived as his lies.
Oh, Kate. You're so tricky! NOT.
OMG. That's all I can say. OMG.
I can't imagine being a mom, home with eight kids, and being able to go into my room after dinner, shut the door, and "work". Not unless I had someone else there to do bathtime/bedtime.
And, if you as the Parent are EMOTIONAL over something as simple as a broken toy, to the point where you berate your children and guilt them into silence, that's your clue to step away and calm down. Parenting is all about teaching and you can't teach when caught up in emotion like that!
Adding all those high school "Kate's a great mom role model" girls to my prayer list tonight!
Katie Cry-Duh: how about
Kate Berates The Eight
No More Free Trips as Symbolized By a Screwed Up Globe
She Whipped Them All Soundly And Sent Them To Bed
Run For Your Life, Kids!
Oh, and I love her "it will move if I don't put a post it on it". That means either her children really have no respect for other people's belongings or as someone said above, her housekeeper would put it away. Interesting.
Sorry if someone already posted this, but this a NE article from 2009, in which a source describes sTeve intimately guiding Kate by putting his hands on her hips.
The globe posting is nauseating. Sounds like it was Hannah. i very much doubt if a boy admitted this "too late" there would not be hugs and tears.
Just my opinion as always.
The irony of kate being appalled by liar stands out firmly.
Cant wait til the Gosselin 8 get to hold kate to the fire for ALL her lies someday. Disgustedly, they will march away after a stern lecture,
Kreider, let's see... You're harping like a chimp about respecting other people's property. How are your kids to know this when you get to stay in a beautiful beach house in NC for free and decide it's a great place for your kids to
have a food fight? Why didn't you blow a gasket when the kids ran around the store with a giant display Croc, with shoes on glass display stands all around? Is it just YOUR stuff that needs to be respected? Bitch
She was to busy shopping for hooker heels.
She and the others just DECIDED Joel looked guilty? More like Kate decided it had to be an icky boy and Joel is the one whom she most closely associates with Jon. Sick sick woman. Seems that Mady is on to her Mom though. Break into the accusations with a story to hopefully calm her down and get her thinking about something else. I had a maths teacher like that once. If we mentioned something going on in the world he couldn't help but chat about it and equations were forgotten.
I wouldn't be surprised if all of those kids know how to spin their mommie dearest when needed. "Oh gee Mom, look it's time for The Voice, can I get you something to drink while you put up your feet and watch? Because I know you've had such a HARD day." Sickening.
Is anyone else having trouble getting to the next page of comments. Everytime I click on "newest" it just returns me to the first page.
This just resolved for me. Gave me a fright!
Anyway, hey all... I've been in lurking mode for the past few days whilst busy not raising 8 kids. How does Kate tweet all day sometime?
*I just don't get it*
Thanks all for the stomach advice. Poor kid is losing his voice from constantly feeling nauseaous. He has acid maybe and pre-throw up saliva building up nonstop.
You all gave great advice and support to my little pumpkin. Much appreciated. And that you former GWOP poster for the advice on APFED.ORG
I felt like I was hijacking the blog but I'm glad people either politely scrooled past or read and offered encouragement. Sometimes its nice to go OT and get "The Narcissist" of our minds.
Is disgustedly even a fricken word?
Has Kate ever thought maybe this would be a fun activity to superglue the globe back together. Show kids how to fix their accidents and mistakes? Thigs break, you can often make it right again with a little enginuity. No big f-ing deal worthy of a marine corp hostage interrogation!
You are welcome. I'm always worried that my posts come off snarky when they aren't meant to be glad this one came across okay. ;-)
There are no words to describe how disturbed this woman is. They should lock her up and throw the key away..I mean that with all my heart. There is something seriously wrong with her. My husband works with people who have mental illness so believe me...I've heard it all. Someone has do an intervention...she's not of sound mind.
I think she's still harping indirectly at the photographer. About his alleged lies
______
I totally agree with you on this. Especially when she tweeted this to one of her fans about him:
"His mom never taught him to 'always tell the truth!'"
So now several days later, she writes a blog about how SHE teaches her children to tell the truth and be honest. Coincidence? I think not.
I'll betcha that Katie Irene stuck her finger to the globe with the superglue and she is the one who ripped out parts of several countries.
I can just see it... Katie, running around the house trying to shake that globe off her finger. Somebody has to pay for that.
Stick a post it note on her she's done.
Defacing property, you mean like spray painting graffiti on the house walls? An interrogation over a peeling equator on a cheap-ass globe, and then BLOGGING about it. Pinning the blame on Joel, then getting a confession from anonymous girl-child, really Kate, really?
I have this vision of her walking around the kitchen table tapping a ruler, or wooden spoon on her knuckles, waiting for the Equator-peeling thug to 'fess up.
Did the adult in the house come out of her room and sit the 8 kids down and teach them that everyone is innocent until proven guilty. Just because poor Joel looked guilty, his mother should have defended him, not jumped on the guilty bandwagon.
There are no words. Hell, it could have been Shoka!
No problem EM - I hope things improve for your son. It has been a tough few years for us (my guy is now 8 and tube-fed only - very, very rough when you've spent all of your preceding years being able to eat). We live in a major metro area with access to some of the world's best docs, and it still took us a couple of years to get a correct diagnosis. I sort of feel like it's one of my missions in life to spread the word about eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders (EGIDS). :)
I don't believe for a moment that the daughter entered her room & confessed, then hugs & blah, blah, blah.
What probably happened is nobody confessed and Kate is beginning to think that they are standing together against her. If so, good for them! The outrage that Kate had over granules of sugar was more than over the top. So, one can just imagine her wrath over some probably worthless paper mache globe.
Kate's blog was meant to prove what a good & honest person she is, when in fact it just proved what a mean & cruel witch she really is. Most Moms would just shrug and say no harm done, it can be replaced, but Kate had to badger, accuse, & threaten. There is NO LOVE in that woman, at all, only a desire to use her kids once again for attention while making their life a living hell. I'm trying not to hate her, but....
The more posts I'm reading - the harder I'm laughing! You all crack me up.
This whole ridiculous thing sounds like the book titled Who Moved My Cheese?
Except for Kate it will be called - Who Peeled Off My Equator?
Can't you just picture her staring at the globe longingly day after day, hoping/wishing/praying for someone to drop another globe trotting trip in her lap. Then - GASP - one day, the equator is gone, along with all her hopes and dreams!
