I always consider myself "in the know" when it comes to pop culture - but I guess I missed the "Marie" reference...although I can somewhat figure it out!
Kate's blog on this subject was pathetic - and her parenting skills are sadly lacking.
I have seven kids, and I would never have the children become a "jury" to sit in judgement of each other. That is NOT their job! Their job is to be children!
When I see Kate's fans posting outrage over the hundreds of other Hitler parody videos out there I might believe they are truly offended. If not familiar with this pop culture thing the NYT had a good article explaining it.
Another long time lurker, coming out of the shadows to say Bravo Admin! I just watched the clip and I am giving you a standing ovation. Also,I am including myself with the other posters who love American history. Taking my first trip to Gettysburg this summer.
Isn't Kate's birthday coming up soon? Maybe she has a weekend celebration planned for herself. It's really sad how she claims to be such a good mother but only shells out money for herself and not for her kids. I don't know another mother who thinks of herself before her kids? Do you?
That's an interesting article in the Enquirer. I didn't know Dance Moms was filmed within driving distance of Kate's house (I've never watched the show). The article says Kate has been in talks with Lifetime. I can totally see her trying to get at least Mady on there. You have to take the Enquirer with a grain of salt, but they did expose John Edwards and his mistress. LOL
Pity Party said... 200 Maybe she is going to cross the finish line at the LA Marathon. __________________________________________
Yay! Another finish line crossing while looking like she just stepped out of hair and makeup.
If I'm not mistaken, she never mentioned her two best running buddies from the LV marathon ever again. I wonder those gals regret getting wrapped up in the Kate Gosselin world of deceipt and trickery. For their efforts, Kate probably gave them an autographed picture and a copy of one of her Dollar Store books.
"But their not murdering people for Kate its sick to compare anyone to Hitler."
@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
Kate was not compared to Hitler. The problem with sheeple is that their reading/visual comprehension is sorely lacking. They need to look up the meaning of the word "parody."
Wait - I'll help you. "Parody - a humorous or satirical imitation of a serious piece of literature or writing":
This is exactly what this was - it was not comparing Kate to Hitler. It was a satire. You can look that one up yourself.
For those of you talking Gettysburg, it's one of my favorite places to go. The battlefield is very serene. You can go on a guided tour or for $15.00 purchase the audio CD driving tour at the welcome cneter and do it yourself. My kids think Devil's Den is incredible, all the rocks to climb on and to think a HUGE battle was waged there. The memorials are amazing. There are hundreds of them from all different regiments and states. We drive down there every summer. Maybe we'll see you sometime. Civil War history is another of my favs when it comes to studying the historical behavior of society. To have brother pit against brother just stuns me.
So sick and sad. Hitler murdered millions of Jews Kate didn't. Kate's followers may be weird. But their not murdering people for Kate its sick to compare anyone to Hitler. March 16, 2012 2:45 PM
Lighten up. It's just a joke. I don't think there is a soul here who truly thinks Kate is like Hitler. It's simply funny banter about her going batchit over a stupid Globe and poking fun at her histrionics.
For everyone that is worried about offending Jews, let me put your mind at ease. While I am, of course, speaking for myself, I feel very safe in saying that any Jew who understood this story would give 2 thumbs up to admin's parody.
Admin is not commenting on Jews or any other of the millions of lives that were senselessly exterminated in the Holocaust. Her hilarious use of parody and satire --which, by the way, is constitutionally protected under the First Amendment-- draws a deadly accurate line between Hitler and Kate.
Impregnate Hitler with twins, followed by sextuplets, marry him off to a laid-back snow-boarding chick, give him a reality show, a rural country house, post-its and a blond wig, --who do you get?
Kate and Hitler: One is an egotistical dictator that discriminates, terrorizes, imprisons, humiliates, exposes, isolates, alienates, seizes wealth, lives off of others' hard work, steals childhoods and lives in luxury while their minions scrounge. The other is Hitler.
And, West Dakota, wiped off the map!!! Of veh!
L'Chaim and Mazet tov to you, admin!
PS-- Funniest Jewish -themed movie, ever! The Frisco Kid. Very young Harrison Ford plays a two-bit bandit that finds himself helping a Polish Rabbi, (played by an equally young Gene Wilder), transport a Torah through the Wild West --in the 1800's.
Anybody else think that Kate and Abby Lee Miller have the same philosophy about how to train children?
Of course, we all know Kate would never allow another adult to talk to her kids the way Abby does ( only Kate is allowed to yell at them ), but there is NO DOUBT that if Kate had talent and instructed children in anything, she'd be just like Abby.
I'm sort of half wondering if tonight when Kate Twitters and she will, I wonder if she'll make a sugar fest of what she and the kids did as a way to smooth over her ranting from the previous day? Maybe. She tends to have these outlandish writings, over a globe no less, then she'll come back and say the next day all the kids had wonderful day or dinner or whatever.
I'm sure Kate knows a lot of people thought she over did it, what, the globes one of those cheap ones that sits in just about every second grade class room?
Regarding the globe thing, I chuckled (though I was appalled in general) when I read about the equator being peeled off. When I was a kid, I thought the equator was like a stove burner that would kill you if you accidentally got on it. I don't know why. Last year I was in Costa Rica and said on my travel blog that I now knew it to be true, as we were dying from the heat and getting burned up despite our SPF 75. HA! Maybe her royal highness thinks the same thing.
Kate wouldn't 'do' Dance Moms because we all know she has to be the center of attention (and then her kids have to). Remember her mantra: "No one makes money off my kids but (her)!"
As for Jews offended. If anyone has seen this movie (really seen it) you would realize that not one iota of the movie glorifies the great dictator. And just so you know, Admin wasn't the first to create a parody of this clip, there are many many others and here's one from 2 years ago with Kate as the subject. Hitler Interviews Kate Gosselin
So typical of Kate. Not one day of dance class, and her kids are going to be featured on an elite team of dancers that practice for hours every day and have been dancing for years. Every once in a while, their is a DM shot of the "regular" dancers--like maybe an elbow or a fuzzy distance group shot, practicing plies and leaps. I don't think that will pay the mortgage. Why not put your violin-playing twin on stage at Carnegie hall, while you are at it.
#200 Maybe she is going to cross the finish line at the LA Marathon.
That could be interesting as rain is predicted, so when MsMarathonRunner comes through dry with makeup in place, well, that I would love to see. I don't think Katie Irene does bad weather.
BTW...I didn't mean 'great' dictator in like 'He's so cool and great'. I meant Great as in 'big, overpowering, etc.' Just want to clarify it for the sheeple who may lack in literary skills and find offense once again.
Kate probably bad mouthed Dance Moms on twitter because she DID investigate that avenue for another shot at fame and they laughed their heads off at her.
Okay, so paying for all 8 to take gymnastics is too expensive but she'd pay to put the twins in dance, is that right?
What's going to happen when one of the boys comes to her and says he wants to play soccer? "Sorry, it's too expensive to enroll all 8 of you in it." I can hear the kid say, "No, I want to play, just me, not all 8 of us. Can't you afford just for me to play?"
I agree with Tate 10 -- while the Enquirer is considered a "rag," it *has* broken quite a few stories that more reputable publications initially had no clue about. Personally, I think it’s because the Enquirer is perfectly comfortable using sources who don’t want their identities revealed in the story – which may seem shady at first blush, but “anonymity” often makes the most legitimate sources willing to talk.
That said, unless Mady (or one of the other Gosselin kids) has been training hard-core with a serious dance school/coach for YEARS, there is NO way any would qualify to be on Dance Moms. While I find that show to be a piece of trash, those girls are hard-working, talented, professionally trained dancers. Their moms may be reality fame-ho's a la Kate Gosselin, but the girls themselves have trained very hard for many years to become accomplished dancers.
That article made me laugh out loud though: Kate thinks the kids would be a perfect fit for "Dance Moms" because the Gosselins live within "driving distance" of where the show is produced. Hmmmmm. I live within driving distance to the White House (a mere 20 minutes). By Kate's logic I'd be a good fit to be the next president.
BTW – Pittsburgh is over 250 miles from Kate. Not sure what she considers “driving distance,” but I much prefer my quick commute to the White House. ;)
WHEN will this woman wake up from her delusions (and drive-time logic)????!!!!
Now, Kate feels "Dance Moms" would be a perfect fit because the dance studios are within driving distance of the Gosselin home in Wernersville, Pa., and she wouldn't have to travel out of state, added the source. ----------
Well, from that statement alone, you know it's false...Kate NOT travel out of state? lol
Yea, like Jon is going to give the ok for this..yea, RRIIGGHHHTTTT...
Nope, they dredged up this stupid article due to her dissing on the dance moms last week.
Since Kate hasn't tweeted in over 24 hrs, who wants to bet she isn't in PA right now??? :)
Like I said, when I see the same fans commenting on the hundreds of Youtube videos out there going back at least two years that use this very same clip to make a point about whatever various social issue, then I will believe the are truly offended and not just blindly defending Kate like a Hitler minion.
Had this not been a pop culture phenomenon (angry Hitler videos), I doubt I would have "gone there." The makers of this little movie must be thinking about all these parody videos "whoa."
LisaKN We are not saying kate is a horrible person capable of genocide. But, I'm sure Hitler's followers never thought they would follow so blindly either..People who do not think for themselves can become quite dangerous in groups that are manipulated by their idol. This is a parody. A small scale of a tyrant, her kids and her sheep.
I think anyone who exploits others and hurts other are cut from the same cloth. It's just a matter of how far you go with your evil. There are very few that go as far as Hitler did, but there are hundreds of thousands who do much less but are still bad people.
@Admin, I had a thought here. If you know any nurses ask them how often they are away from their kids, if you were to do a future post on just how many times this year Kate has been away from her kids. The results will probably be interesting.
I don't know any nurses per say but I know people who work in hospitals and I see them almost every Sunday in church or at picnics with their kids. What's the deal with Kate's claim she'll be more away from them?
Aren't the younger kids almost 8 years old and still in first grade? Why? Never made sense to me. Most first graders are usually 6 when they start and turn 7, not 8. Or did I screw the math up? It happens...
Not saying I believe the Inquirer, though it has been wrong many times. An anonymous source does not in and of itself make a story suspect or untrue. Sometimes the best breaking journalism was built on the back of an anonymous source. Remember, they are not usually anonymous to the JOURNALIST writing the story, just to the public.
Now, assuming it's true, I can see Kate pitching the idea of a "beginners" class with Mady and Cara and other kids, sort of a spin off. And actually, her tweet makes perfect sense to me. Her idiot idea had been shot down some time ago and now she is pissed. What does Kate do when she is pissed? Burn bridges. Stupid Kate, now she's ticked off Melissa when maybe, you never know, they might change their minds later!
Plus, think about Melissa's tweet where she said she always liked and supported Kate. Could Melissa have been telling producers hey I like this idea. THen what does KAte do but throw her under the bus.
All speculation, but I don't think it's that impossible.
Marie, I do know a nurse, my aunt. She has been an ER nurse her entire career. She only missed holidays in the very beginning, now that she paid her dues she brags about her hours. She was there for her kids. And, she's great to call with questions.
Plus, there are many nursing-type careers that can be very 9 to 5. Dialysis, which Kate even did! In-home care. Nursing home care. Baby nurse/nanny. And many more. I think it just goes without question at this point that the nursing thing has absolutely nothing to do with being away from the kids. Kate doesn't WANT to be a nurse, it's too mediocre. It's not a celebrity job. End of story.
Of course if she is by chance doing a marathon this weekend it would be here: http://www.lamarathon.com/roadrunners/coaching-staff/ Rod Dixon is there. I registered to look up her name to track runners. It wasn't found.
I remember her telling a runner fan that she would be running in a marathon before the fan did and fan was doing hers in April. So still could be a chance she is out there and keeping it a secret like she did the RC ball. (fake name even?)
SeeSaw: I think she is in NYC doing hair. Kate did tweet her hair guy a day ago. Anything to get away from the kids. Hey, how come Kate is not cooking for St Patrick Day? Or decorating for it? No one mention? Ok, maybe she'll cry religion, on this one, since she did not celebrate Chinese New Year either. But she had a tarot reading, usually the religious ones would not celebrate any holiday that is not part of their religion or any super natural thing either. I'm Lutheran and I celebrate St. Patrick Day, Chinese New year, any holiday that suites me, and I've had tarot, palm reading,(nothing ever came of the readings, done in fun) I read Harry Potter, I watch Dr Who, Star Trek and most sci-fi, Vampires, etc. And yes I still believe in God. I won't watch Walking dead movies/TV shows, those are gross, or murder/terrior movies. I love science, and NCIS, Law & Order TV shows, besides the ones I mentioned above. I felt sorry for the Gosselin twins, not being able to read Harry Potter, cause probably most of the kids in their class have. Like every thing else I mention above, if it is not taken seriously it is not a treat to humanity and religion. But then Kate is a walking/talking contradiction.
OT: I'm cooking corn beef & bussel sprouts( I don't really like cabbage cabbage, but I like bussel sprouts: usually in butter with bacon or in cheese. Gonna add carrots, garlic, parsnips, potatoes and mushrooms. Cooking a day ahead to let the meat soak in juices.
I think any career or job for that matter that you put your best self into it is rewarding. You don't have to be rich to get good things out of life. Too bad Kate never will grasp this.
I guess it just irks me she carries on about how awful it would be if she was away from her kids. Uh, yeah, Kate? Hello! You've been away several times even over the last couple of months.
More I think it's disgusting she thinks she's above working. Does she not know how many people would be grateful to a job...any job for that matter? Lazy bag of bones.
Guess I'm just ticked she's still managing to travel and live life without having money come in and cry poor.
Kate? On Dance Mom's? I picture her trying to run the place in order, clapping her hands asking the girls why they aren't helping her.
I see the twit is back! maybe Kate had to go to court(or took Jon to court over something or Jon took her to court) or NYC hair. Something is bothering her, she just snapped at someone.
The dance moms would eat her alive! ==== Pity Party - They'd chew her up and spit her out. Kate's only mean and bossy when she's on her own turf. She was mad at Whoopi on the View but she was also intimidated by her. ~~~~~~
Hi guys. I'm alive and pretty well... I've been a bit preoccupied today. Sorry for my silence! What's new?
====
Awwww. "pretty" well.
Maybe she watched "No more Bööby-guard" and couldn't handle it. So she spent the day in bed.
Sigh. No one ever told her that 'being a mom would be this difficult'.
Marie, my daughter is a LPN and works at a dermatolgy clinic. She specifically chose this job because of the hours - no weekends, no holidays, and no late nights. She's home by six or seven every night and has time to spend with my grandsons. From what my daughter tells me, there are lots of options in nursing. My opinion is that Kate just doesn't want to work at a regular job. She's had a taste of what she considers the "good life" and doesn't want to even try to obtain "mediocre" employment.
She's baaack, using 'pre-occupied' for an excuse. Probably code for out of town because god knows the normal chaos of 8 kids in the house is not enough to 'pre-occupy' het enough to stay away from Twitter.
And where's the St.Patrick's day spirit Kate? No decorating, no special meals, no hunting everywhere for plastic leprechauns for cupcakes? Your crockpot is calling out for corned beef & cabbage. No blog either. Leap Day, that major holiday, wore her out. Or she's drinking green beer in NYC with Jason H.
She's probably planning the birthday party the kids are going to throw her this year.
An anonymous source does not in and of itself make a story suspect or untrue. Sometimes the best breaking journalism was built on the back of an anonymous source. Remember, they are not usually anonymous to the JOURNALIST writing the story, just to the public.
Marie, my sister just retired after 28 years of nursing. She had two children and when they started school, so did she as the school nurse. Her hours were always the same as theirs -- including vacations. She worked long after her children graduated.

Kay: We're gonna check the hot sheets. [Kay pulls up to a newsstand and buys a pile of supermarket tabloids] Jay: THESE are the hot sheets? Kay: Best investigative reporting on the planet. But go ahead, read the New York Times if you want. They get lucky sometimes
Oh,Westcoaster, don't you know that St.Patrick's Day dinner will be her Monday Menu recipe? She will tell us all about her 4 pound corned beef, her economical 1/2 pound of cabbage, her idea for parsley on 3 boiled red potatoes, how the kids ate every morsel on their plates, and rated her special dinner a 10!!!!
President Posh said... 29 ___ I thoroughly agree with this comment. Many reliable sources are anonymous. Reporters have gone to jail rather than reveal their sources.
However, if what this source says about Kate is true, it only confirms that Kate is truly delusional.
I have a friend that is a nurse in ER and because her kids are older. As an example, she will volunteer to work the early shift on Xmas morning so moms w/ young kids can be home in the am after Santa comes. Of course in Kate's home there is no Santa and she would never return a favor, so I don't see anyone ever volunteering to give her a preferred shift. Life sucks when you are a bitch to mankind.
It amazes me how far certain fans (yes, milo, again) will go to make apologies for Kate:
miloandjack @Kateplusmy8 Yep,the super-know-it-all moms here have been offerin their "two cents" abt ur parenting. Like they have 2set multiples ur age?
So the only people who are allowed to have opinions about her parenting are those who have two sets of multiples . . . and oh, they also have to be the same age?
You know if Kate can't take criticism about the things she does, writes about, and publicly posts, then she really shouldn't be putting it out there. It truly bothers me when her fans excuse her every move with the old "walk a mile in her shoes" BS. What lunkhead logic.
Kate Gosselin @Kateplusmy8 Reply Retweet Favorite · Open Things my kids say (or wine rather) Leah: 'Hannah and lex are trying to give you more hugs&kisses...but there's a line!'
Was the "wine" a Freudian slip? I can't make heads or tails of what this comment means.
Hahaha Gift of Grab. Kate needs to put down the box of wine and pick up a dictionary. For someone who whines as much as she does, she should learn how to spell it. P.S. I always read your name as "Gab." Grab is too funny!
Oh darn does that mean the kids will be subject to green pancakes or green eggs and ham tomorrow? And Shamrock shape grilled cheese for lunch w/ green juice, because she doesn't make them drink milk, only sugary juices.
Did anyone here not make their kids drink milk when they were this age? My kids were milk lovers, but got milk w/ their meals not juice and guess what in their 20's no cavities or braces.

Classic! Sheeple make me laugh. Oh, and by the way, Kate doesn't have a mustache either.
Will say Gettysburg is awesome. Has been years since I was there, but it was a great adventure I will never forget.
Hell yeah we are giving our two cents about her parenting because it sucks!!! It reeks of hostility and resentment. If Kate can get this pissed off about a cheap ass GLOBE, then those kids must be living under very regimented and oppressive conditions. It's so sad. Just about everything she says or posts seems so wrong, so unloving towards her kids. And bragging is a sure fire way to make people not like you. I'd love to believe that JK8 was edited to make her look bad and she's really an awesome mom. But how can every. single. episode. and 90% of what she writes be misconstrued? She is so sick, really ill and in need of help
Gosselin 8, Kate does not have a mustache, true. But she does have some kind of weird lines on her upper lip that really really make it look like she does sometimes. Ok, snark over
Okay, she explained. Apparently her children are "lining up" to be affectionate. And somehow she still manages to tweet all the way through this tender display.
OT for those of you who are Civil War fans: Have any of you read March by Geraldine Brooks? It is historical fiction, but quite good (she won a Pulitzer for it).
I wonder if the kids have to wait for her to finish tweeting before they have the honor of hugging her. Is it just me or does anyone else have alarms going off if they really do line up to hug the Beast? Like they're doing it proactively so that maybe mom won't be such a bitch tonight? It just doesn't seem normal to me

Admin- Totally agree. There is a lot of flexibility with nursing jobs, so Kate's crap does not fly. My sister, cousin, best friend and aunt all are nurses, in different capacities, so I know this all to be pure BS.
The Diane Mizota video on Yahoo has upwards of a thousand comments now--I just scrolled through about 100, all negative.
I guess Kate might be a little preoccupied if she's finally reading her "press." It's interesting, the Philly pap who she fought with earlier this week did another, longer post today about the RC ball (no photos of Kate in this one). Here's what he says at the end of it:
"Then you know I was caught up in that Kate Gosselin mess. In hindsight I wonder if it was all for publicity for her. Or what photo did she think I took, and worse why are people so obsessed with her. It was interesting to say the least."
I don't know if his comment is disingenuous, but it does make me wonder if her appearing to fly off the handle was in fact something else again.
She's not in NY and she didn't get her hair done. I know this because she didn't tweet any gloaty braggy tweets to that Jason guy and about eating at that same overpriced chain restaurant. She ALWAYS does that to brag.
No, she's down about the fact that the TLC contract is over and nothing else is in the works. I'm quite sure she assumed she'd have another big paying show lined up by now. I'm sure other things are bothering her, too, namely the rest of her crummy life. But THAT is probably really getting to her.
Yes nursing is flexible. And no matter how "poorly" Kate believes it pays, wouldn't it be nice to have some supplemental income since she's having money issues? Isn't something better than nothing? Maybe she could actually afford to take the kids to a movie or out to dinner or pay that tuition with a check and not a hope and a prayer.

--------------- She couldn't care less about their lives, just needs her attention fix. Someone, anyone, to tell her she is Kate the Great. Very pathetic.
Long time lurker, first time posting. Just commenting on the nursing as a profession. I am number 6 out of 8 kids and my mom is a retired nurse. I remember one or two Christmas Eves she missed while she worked on a hospital ward but later moved to outpatient and had normal hours. She puts Kate to shame!!!
Kate wants to use stereotypes about nursing to justify her desire to keep her and her family in the public eye for eternity.
There are the same stereotypes about many professions, including lawyers. Oh they work 80 hours a week and never see their kids. I'm sure that's what Kate would say if she were a JD but didn't want to do it. The fact is, many, many lawyers work regular courthouse hours as I do. 8:30 to 4:30, court holidays, plus vacation time. I've even worked from home occasionally if I have a big brief due. Never weekends. Never after-hours. Never holidays. And, many lawyers work sole and set their own hours or work from home. If you need to stay home with a sick kid, you can.
Frankly, there are just very few jobs that don't have some kind of option for a flexible schedule, or allow you to take your skills to another similar, more flexible job. This is 2012, most people in this country want and demand flexibility, and jobs have adapted to those demands.
Kate wants us to buy her stereotype because I guess she assumes we're ignorant, or is hoping not a single person who follows her descent into madness happens to also know a nurse.
miloandjack @Kateplusmy8 Yep,the super-know-it-all moms here have been offerin their "two cents" abt ur parenting. Like they have 2set multiples ur age? So the only people who are allowed to have opinions about her parenting are those who have two sets of multiples . . . and oh, they also have to be the same age?
&&&&
They need to think about their logic. You know me and going back to logic! It's how I'm wired. If they believe only people with two sets of multiples can criticize Kate's parenting (which she just put out there in a diatribe blog post), then it stands to reason that only fans of hers with two sets of multiples can PRAISE her parenting. It seems to me that if this is what we are basing it off, then we all need to simply be neutral on her parenting. How do THEY know this is good parenting, bad parenting, or neither if they don't have multiples?
Not to mention, what does multiples have ANYTHING to do with the Spanish Inquisition from yesterday? It had nothing to do with it. It wouldn't matter if Kate performed the same piss poor parenting on two kids, three or one. It still sucked. Parenting aside, you don't treat PEOPLE like that. Am I allowed to comment on basic human rights or do you need multiples for that too? I am a person after all, a human.
You know that song it's hard out there for a pimp? I keep hearing it my head, only thinking, it's hard out there for a sheep. I feel like they are hanging onto the falling cliffs of Dover by one little hoof.
Who knows, maybe Kate posts here as a sheeple to bite back at our comments. I wouldn't put it past her, as she is a very angry, egotisitcal, defensive person.
Look how she recently publicly argued with the photographer on Twitter. She DOES address many comments posted here on her "blogs" and twitter and she is hyper defensive. I really don't care, but just in case- Hi Kate!
Why does Kate act like her Twitter followers only follow her? She acts like they wait by Twitter all day and all night, just waiting for her to say something.
Ok. I get that Milo does this very thing, but that is one person. Kate acts like all of them are only on Twitter for her.
I can't stand it how every.single.night she has to announce when she is going to bed. Who gives a crap ( besides Milo )?
Who knows, maybe Kate posts here as a sheeple to bite back at our comments. I wouldn't put it past her, as she is a very angry, egotisitcal, defensive person. ====
I thought anonymous 73 could be her by the tone of it. Poor schmoopy.
I see the know it all about multis bully went to bed. Geez, what the heck did she do all day? to be that tired? She said fun times planned: for who herself? What Kate planning to go to NYC again or is she going to Aussie again? Hey, maybe the cruise is not going well! Something is bothering her. It would be funny that Kate was in court today about the twins going on the cruise, maybe Jon took her back to court, cause of the way the cruise is being advertized, and the judge said no! they can't go. She was doing something very serious, for her to be bitchy and quiet(not many tweets, and one word answers to tweets) We can hope!
Auntie Ann- I have to say you are one of my favorite posters on this site. Quite simply, you are very smart, funny, witty, and insightful. I completely enjoy all of your posts. Keep it coming.
Hell yeah we are giving our two cents about her parenting because it sucks!!! It reeks of hostility and resentment. If Kate can get this pissed off about a cheap ass GLOBE, then those kids must be living under very regimented and oppressive conditions.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
I have no doubt that she numbers the toilet paper squares so they don't use more than allowed. They probably have to eat everything before they can drink. She probably bounces a quarter on their beds each morning to see if they are made to her standards. And last, but not least, they probably have to go around the dinner table each evening and each kid has to say something nice about mommy. The one who had the least flattering thing to say has to clean the table and sweep the floor.
Gift of grab said... 68 Okay, she explained. Apparently her children are "lining up" to be affectionate. And somehow she still manages to tweet all the way through this tender display.
What the f-ity eff indeed. This witch is nothing, if not predictable. Every time she (literally) rears her ugly head as a parent, all of a sudden the kids are lining up to kiss her or to put on plays because they're so grateful to be home from Jon's (remember that?) or they're telling her she's the best mommy ever and thanking her 1000x... blah, blah, blah.. whatever.
G kids, I'm waiting with baited breath for your books, it's not a matter of if- it's when. One of you better write a sequel called "Hey Bitch- We Just Want YOU To Know What A Shitty Mother You Were.
Please make sure you explain to her very thoroughly all of her shortcomings, the neuroses, paranoia, phobias and anger issues and how this made it very difficult to be her child. Also, make sure you address that fact that you NEVER asked to be born a multiple. Explore why you were crucified for it since birth and made to earn your own living. Explain in detail how you felt when you found out that not only did your friends not work, none of them ever had TV cameras in their houses. Hold nothing back when you tell her how angry you are that videos are on the internet of you all being potty trained, bathed, punished and sick and how people constantly comment about them. Tell her how sad it was that she cut off all contact with her extended family and make sure she understands how grateful you are to your Daddy for allowing you to see some of your family. Tell her how confusing it was for you to hear her talk lovingly about her own Grandparents, while banning her own parents from seeing you.
She wrote a book exposing every nuance and weakness about you 8, it's only fair you return the favor.
Kateplusmy8: If happens to your kids, u handle how you see fit. In this case, I handled it how I did. It's the beauty of parenthood!
****
Number one, why does a simple peeling of a globe needs to be "handled" at all? It is not a problem for most people. You fix it and move on. There is no proof any of her children even DID THIS. I think the golden child was selected by her siblings to take the hit because she had the best chance of getting out alive. And if her kids actually felt comfortable with her, they would have ran to her immediately when it started peeling and asked for help. It speaks volumes about these kids that not only did they not go to her right away, but it took them all evening to finally confess.
Number two, how far does she take this little philosophy? Does she not believe that children should be protected? Are people who smack their kids, molest their kids, and do drugs around their kids allowed to parent as they see fit? There is no beauty in that. I thought she didn't understand why Jon would have any say in the kids. Is he not allowed to parent how he sees fit?
And finally, she could have handled the globe incident as she sees fit without any problem had she simply chosen not to blog about it. Because then we would NEVER KNOW. If we didn't know it ever happened, no Hitler video and no criticism.
She writes what is essentially a parenting blog, then cries foul when people want to talk about it. You can't have it both ways. I don't run this blog expecting never to get any criticism or see debate. If you blog about something even remotely controversial, either expect it to happen or get out of the kitchen. It's not for everyone and it doesn't mean anything badly about you if you can't hack it. It's one reason I don't usually put this blog on monitored. It's part of the deal and hey, everyone needs at least one dissenting voice, it's good for you. If blogging is not for you, don't start a blog. Kate should shut it down, it's obviously not for her.
Didn't someone here call it that Kate's next tweet would be about how a loving and wonderful evening they had? Cue the tweet about the kids lining up to hug and kiss their loving mother.
Also I'm not surprised Kate loves Sound of Music. It's about a guy with a lot of kids who falls in love with the girl he hired. Kate has a lot of kids and fell in love with the guy she hired. In her 14 year old mind she probably thinks her life is just like the Von Traps.
Slightly OT question for you, Admin. Because Kate insists on as much "organic" food as possible for her kids, would this be required of Jon as well? In other words, would the court ever tell him that he has to follow HER "special dietary requirements"? I recall she said something once, I think on the Australia trip, about how the traveling was sometimes hard on stomachs because they were accustomed to eating organic. Given that organic can add a lot to a grocery bill, I'm just curious as to whether this is something a court would undertake to rule on and/or enforce vis-a-vis what Jon does when he has the children.
Gosselin8ComeFirst - Oh my gosh thank you. I'm humbled by that comment (blushing here). What you said goes for just about everyone here. This place rocks.
"I laughed I cried, it became a part of me". Selma Diamond.
If she thinks her life is the Sound of Music then she best remember how that movie ends: Nazis pounding at the door, climbing through the mountains on foot sans wordly belongings and beginning a new life working hard as innkeepers. Fantasy much Kate?
Cannot wait to see what fun she has planned for the weekend.
As we all know, Kate's comment about the kids lining up to giver her hugs and kisses goodnight is BS. I taught at Awana and Sunday school for young children, and they never lined up to greet me or the other teacher I worked with. They would run to us all at once and if we crouched to greet them, or say goodbye for the night, you were sure to fall over with a few kids on top of you! Those were wonderful times and memories, and I can't imagine a child "lining up" to give a hug.
I can't stand it how every.single.night she has to announce when she is going to bed. Who gives a crap ( besides Milo )?
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
Milo has to know when Kate is going to bed so she/he can fantasize about being in there with her.
I was hoping that, for St. Patrick's Day, the kids would get the pot of gold that they earned. Sadly, all they may see is a plastic leprechaun on top of their cupcakes.
Kates Cart said "Did anyone here not make their kids drink milk when they were this age?"
My 2 boys (2 and 7) drink quite a bit of milk, and I do buy organic milk and it's not that expensive. I would feel like crap if I was feeding my kids sugary juice all day, not to mention they would be bouncing off of the walls with all of that sugar.
It always shocked me that even when the kids were toddlers they were never given milk to drink.
Her kids diets seem VERY high in sugar, sodium and simple carbs, and seriously lacking in protein. And I have always found her food combinations to be very strange... spaghetti and brussel sprouts?!?!? WTF is that?
I'm a bit late to the party here, but, Berks, have you read "The Hiding Place" byb Corrie Ten Boom? It's a great WWII book. It's been a long time since I read it, so I don't remember a lot of the specifics, but she and her family were Dutch, who helped Jews escape and hide from the Nazis. They were eventually caught and sent to a concentration camp. Very moving and inspiring book. There's also a movie based on it.
Sorry, I'm fumblefingered tonight. That should be by Corrie Ten Boom.
BTW -- I have a degree in History. Did a paper on Pickett's Charge my senior year. I love Civil War history, but my specialty was Medieval English History.
Last year I was in Costa Rica and said on my travel blog that I now knew it to be true, as we were dying from the heat and getting burned up despite our SPF 75. HA!

Yes! I got the worst sunburn of my life in Costa Rica at Playa Bonita, even with a high SPF lotion. I don't believe I've ever felt sun so brutal!

I've read that and recommend it too. Movie is ok. For a religion and ethics class once a topic I was considering for the class is the role of Christians in WW2 and whether they had a Biblical obligation to do what Corrie Ten Boom, her sister and her father did. Never did tackle that though.
The full movie is on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhVC9q_ZlDs
Even though it's a children's book, I also think Number the Stars by Lois Lawry is a remarkable look into the mind of a child perceiving the chaos around her, and takes a look at the Danish resistance. One tiny country stood up to the Nazis and smuggled almost their entire Jewish population out, when other much bigger and more powerful countries assisted the Nazis in murdering their civilians (see, Sarah's Key). I just get chills when I read about Denmark.
In two years of this blog I can't believe we didn't somehow hit on WW2 at some point. All this time we had no idea we were WW2 kindred spirits!
By the way, very cool to see all the lurkers come out to say hi. Jump on in the water is fine.
Reader lady (I'm up late tonight) That biography was actually the first book on the holocaust that I read. It was the catalyst for sparking my interest (I was only around 14 years old when I read it). I then went on to read and later direct/produce a production of The Diary of Anne Frank, etc. I've met and talked in length with a holocaust survivor who lived in the next town over from me when I was directing the play. She came and spoke to our cast. It was moving to say the least.
Admin: Number the Stars is also a play, I didn't know it was a book previously ...
It's simply funny banter about her going batchit over a stupid Globe and poking fun at her histrionics.

miloandjack @Kateplusmy8 Yep,the super-know-it-all moms here have been offerin their "two cents" abt ur parenting. Like they have 2set multiples ur age? So the only people who are allowed to have opinions about her parenting are those who have two sets of multiples . . . and oh, they also have to be the same age? ______
Well since Kate put her self out there as Super can do it all mom.
People kind of have the right to give their 2 cents.
Are mom's & dad's aren't thirsty for her b.s filled lemonade.

The only blasphemy I see here is not creating a solution to your complaining. Get some kids together and pick them up. Seems pretty simple to me. However, complaining is pretty easy, too. ====
Yeah right...Good idea Jabba. Get KIDS to pick up after lazy slobs.
Reader Lady, I am very familiar with The Hiding Place and my grandma had the privilege of meeting Corrie Ten Boom once. She spoke at a conference she attended. I do believe I have an autographed copy of her book!
Sorry, Admin.,this is OT, but since kate reads here, thought I could tell her a special place to go to on-line, to feed hungry children in America, since she is soo into 'giving back'.And you don't even have to part with 1 dime, which should make it even more geared towards her style of 'giving'. Google CONAGRAfoods.com, you can listen to an awesome song by Jewel, about hope, all you have to do is type in a code from any food on their list, and a child will eat 1 meal.Consider it along with the other multitude of paper work you always have so much of.Do some good, for once in your life, instead of b.s'ing how broke you are.
My friend is an RN and she makes GREAT money as a marketing rep for an in-home nursing agency. She travels around pitching their services, screens new patients, and sets up home service. She is making close to 6 figures and she has flexible hours.
Just like a junkie chasing that first high, Kate will always yearn for the summer of 2009. If only paparazzi actually would follow her again! If only the View would call! If only someone would pay for servants to cook, clean and care for those pesky kids! If only she could request freebies from TLC as part of the show! If only she could go on a book tour with Short Bodyguard! If only she could 'wine' ad nauseum about the paps! She doesn't get it. She didn't think her plan through. Now she actually has to take care of those kids.
"Note Kate's bullies:Fake people talk about other people being Fake. Real people worry about their business and nobody else's" says LooneyCoco
You know Admin., you've had Sheeple stink at your blog since November. And it's the same 3 or 4 fans who likes to stalk & make screenshots & make up fake accounts.
I have been in nursing field for years. You can have regular 9-5 hours in community health, school health, work college health clinic, home health, doctors office, and nurses can teach. Without a BS Ms Kreider could not teach nurses, but she could maybe teach medical assistants our something like that. I work outpatient clinic, no nights, weekends, or holidays. I also help teach one class that I do mostly online, so I set my own hours for that
NoNeed interesting philosophy from the fan but apparently she wasn't paying attention to Kate's blog when Kate instructed us that anyone who doesn't report a crime is GUILTY of the crime. Now that's hardly minding your own business, is it! Since exploiting your children is a crime, here we are reporting it.
In all seriousness, there are many people who obviously disagree with such a sheltered philosophy. Making your voice heard is how the world changes and grows. And if there is nothing wrong about what people are making a stink about, Kate has nothing to hide. The world manages to work itself out.
And the sheeep can bleet another tune when Kate goes underground. It would be one thing if someone was looking in her window and watching her parenting then criticizing it. Kate is welcome to parent in private and she won't have the problems that most other parents have with your parenting being criticized. But you don't put an entire evening of outrageous parenting out on display then cry when people criticize. That truly makes them look silly. It doesn't work that way. Just like every other time a debacle like this happens, it is Kate and only Kate's doing. Kate published that blog, not us.
kate...If someone made a parody of this with me as the "star"...I would sit back and shut the F up....I would be thinking omg...really? is this me? How did this get so far? Do people really see me this way and why? When the kids get passed the age of 18 she better run for cover. The kids who are you'r claim to fame right now will be you'r biggest failure in the years to come.Unlike you...they will tell the truth...the truth you think that will never come to light. Oh my kate....you are in for the biggest let down of you'r life!
Someone had mentioned rationing toilet papaer earlier. My dil (who us much like Kate) tells the little grandaughter that she can only use 4 squares. I've talked before on here hiw painful this is to watch, kniwing there's nothing I or anyone can do to make it better. I cuddle her as much as I can and let her use all the toilet paper she wants. :-)

Normally when you get fired from a job you return all company assets that were in your possession and use while performing that job. Now that Kate's contract is over I wonder if TLC came to the home and removed all their company assets that were used during the course of production, i.e. the furnishings, the washers/dryers/dishwashers, the shelving down in the basement, the chicken coop (and chickens), even her beloved label maker. ANYthing that was used on set that was part of production belongs to TLC. This could explain her tizzy. Farfetched I know but it couldn't happen to a more deserving grifter. laurajean

My husband also has a passionate interest in the Civil War. He has Foote's series and also recommends it. He also has a diary written by a relative who fought for the South. His writing tended to be more brief the worse things got. He describes a bit of his time in a camp after one of his early entries where he wrote, "I am taken prisioner." My interests have taken me into Soviet history. We found a book by Stalin's daughter and after reading it, I had to read anything else I could get my hands on. I'm more the science/math kind of gal. Admin - when your book is ready, my husband will definitely be interested!

These sheeple are so needy! If you don't know how to take care of a toddler with chicken pox, the last thing you should do is to ask Kate for advice! Good grief!
xxxx @StephenTaylorMM @SuzeW718 @kateplusmy8 They can't make Jon pay any more than he has....some parents only have to pay $50/month per child

Admin, I don't know what the law is in CA regarding child support, but I do know that in PA if a parent is found to be under-employed, he can be made to find a job for which he is qualified. For example, a physician cannot work stocking shelves in a store simply because he doesn't want to pay a high amount of child support.
Now that Kate's contract is over I wonder if TLC came to the home and removed all their company assets that were used during the course of production, i.e. the furnishings, the washers/dryers/dishwashers, the shelving down in the basement, the chicken coop (and chickens), even her beloved label maker. ----
It depends on how the contract is written. If it states those things belong to her after filming, then that's the way it is.
I have no idea why Jon hasn't filed for a change in custody. After reading her 'touching' story about the globe, it just further proves how controlling, mean, cruel, and emotionally abusive she is. I am sure those kids REALLY enjoyed their dinner of spaghetti and brussel sprouts while being STARED IN THE EYE by mommie dearest. Heck, I bet they even asked for seconds! *snark*
Kate, since you are an expert on parenting, you should know to NEVER discuss a SERIOUS problem at the dinner table. (if this is a serious problem to Kate, God help those kids). It's SICK.
If my kids were the G's schoolmates, I would NOT let them go to the McBunker for a play date or sleepover. The G kids could come to my house, yes. And you moms know exactly what I'm talking about.
As far as her twitter silence yesterday and her reference to fun times planned, I hope that it doesn't include any reference to the kids.
Kate, if you must, get a horrible, demeaning reality show..but not word about your kids, your family life. You can't say the word EIGHT or MOM. If you can find a show and stick to those criteria, go for it. No one will watch, but at least you will try to actually do something on your own two feet.
jessandken04 @Kateplusmy8 Im lookin 4 a calndr for fridge lik ur pink 1. Was in hard not havin squares on it 4 ea. day what size was urs? Did u like it?
How dumb are these people? It's amusing to read some of the tweets. Are there any intelligent sheeple, or is that an oxymoron?
Over yonder: I agree. I bet the things Kate received during the TLC contract are hers permanently. What would TLC do with them anyhow?
Re: Dance Moms: No way do any of the G kids have the dance talent or the discipline or poise/dedication needed for grueling dance school. It seems those girls spend hours at dance and no way would Kate stay in the observatory as the moms seem required to do so for the show...what would the other 7 kids do?
But Kate may be trying to pitch a new idea to that network, ugh...
TLC wouldn't want all that used stuff, depreciation would make it of little value. I still can't figure out why this chick needs four freezers..maybe...fowl/pork/beef/veggies?
I pity that poor label maker!
She never twits about loads of laundry piling up, kitchen duty, yard work, etc,....guess she still has help. But, in her own words, she makes the kids wear clothes several times before washing, so maybe those TWO washer/dryer sets don't get a lot of use.
And she has all those eggs...maybe she uses that label maker for EACH egg? *snark* (here's a good hint...to determine if eggs are safe to eat, here's how you know: Fill a sink full of cold water...place eggs in sink, ones that remain on bottom are safe to eat, those that float are not!) store-bought eggs are usually good way past their stamped date..fyi. :)
Aggiemom, I hate to say it, but I don't think even this globe incident would be enough to cause any kind of drastic change in custody.
Yes it's shitty parenting, but shitty parenting isn't enough. The law hasn't caught up yet where people are recognizing how incredibly damaging this kind of parenting is. Even though countless adults are crying out about how damaged THEY are from similar parenting when they were a child. It would be much easier if Kate smacked them around or did drugs, sadly. I have seen kids of drug addicts happy as a clam. But kids with moms like this end up tortured. Emotionally.
The thing with judges is that it's not their job to make someone be a perfect parent. They have to deal with real abuse and real concern, as defined by the law. And this globe incident just isn't it. This globe incident was a parenting choice. A piss poor one, but one that isn't abusive under the law. If a client came to me with this, I would tell them to save their money. :(
Katie Cry-duh... 116 "Just like a junkie chasing that first high, Kate will always yearn for the summer of 2009." Cry-duh, your analysis of "WTF is wrong with this octonutjob" is so brilliantly concise and yet so profoundly right. And she's "preoccupied" because it just dawned on her that she most probably will have to go through withdrawal. Soooon...
She talks non-stop about her kids BY NAME on twitter and her website, posts pics of these kids on these sites..This lady talks about taking the girl's bra shopping, talks about what a great parent she is while grilling them about a stupid globe, makes the kids work in the NYC heat, denies a child water, says boys are icky, makes them wear clothes multiple days, throws tantrums (knob episode...who goes that nuts about a knob? and with kids that YOUNG?),..and this isn't considered ABUSE and just cause for a change in custody?
It just makes me so sad for those kids. Why doesn't Jon file for more custody? Lots of TX parents have one week on/one week off here, it's a hassle for the kids, but in the G's case, it might help the kids emotionally, especially the boys. I don't understand Jon's rationale concerning leaving the kids in Kate's care (or lack thereof). He has 'seasons' of Kate's verbal abuse and indifference to all around her, and yet she still has custody. Mind boggling.
Aggiemom, the eggs that float are not necessarilly bad. They're just the older eggs (or may have an air pocket). The best way to tell if an egg is bad is to crack it. Sometimes the older eggs (standing on end in water or bobbing) are better to use for hard boiled eggs becasue the air pocket makes them easier to peel.

Aggie, what aren't you understanding about this, Jon HAS filed for more custody, and got it with the boys. It's a step in the right direction. It's not JON's rationale to leave the kids in Kate's care, it's a judge's.
There is a case in Bucks County PA in which a father was made to shut down his blog, but even I have to admit that blog was worse than Kate's. And, the Father is stomping up and down about this on First Amendment grounds and appealing--and he may just prevail. I can tell you right now the judge that ordered him to shut down his blog is a progressive judge and not the norm. Mom in that case got lucky with a judge who UNDERSTANDS the simple concept of parental alienation (a concept apparently not so simple to most judges).
Remember there is a battle here between the right to parent your child, and not letting that go to far. Kate has always seemed to manage that fine line where she abuses them JUST enough to cut it close, but not enough to cross the line where she loses her kids. In that sense, she is a very manipulative person. Karma may catch up, who knows.
Jon doesn't post on the kids per se. He mentioned in a reply to someone who invited him out that he had been spending time with his boys. I can't even find the tweet it was probably so obscure and I didn't care to look more than a minute or two. He has made it adamant that no one tweet about Kate or the kids and their custody on his twitter feed. I'll bet if someone wanted custody answers Kate would give you all the info if she thought it would improve her image. *snark*
Berks, actually, he did say specifically "change in custody." Not just that he was spending more time with the boys.
This was before his twitter went public. I don't think he should be discussing custody at all, but I suppose it's better than endless questioning WHY he's spending more time with the boys. Better to just explain the boys are with me more because of a custody change, and leave it at that.
Admin-regarding Jon tweeting about custody of the boys. He tweeted that in reply to a friend who had expected to see him that weekend. It was the weekend before the play that Mady was in.
I think he meant there was a change in visitation that weekend and he said custody instead. Here is the conversation:
@jongosselin1 - We thought you were coming down to DC bro
Jon Gosselin@jongosselin1 @xxxxx i had my little boys, custody change, sorry didnt call.
Poor Kate - all she can do today is retweet words of inspiration from Roma Downy and snap at comments about her parenting. Waiting for the fun she promsed, but meanwhile I actually have a life.

That has always been my question, custody change for that day or permanent? I, too, think it was just for the day.
Jon's had a lot of wins in court lately from what I am told. I assume that is one of them. I would think if it was just a day thing you would say we changed the visits this WEEK. But he said change in CUSTODY.
I can't imagine Kate willing to switch things up for just the day. She's too obsessive.
Why is Kate so obsessed with Roma Downey? I mean I know why, to get to Mark Burnett, but this weird latching on especially when Roma never replies is a bit embarrassing.
I think Jon was scheduled to have the kids the weekend of the play. Because Mady was in the play, the visitation was probably switched for those two weekends. I don't know why he didn't have the girls too, but I think it just all had to do with the play.
She's on Day 5 of her Post-Contract Termination Pity Party.
She has the kids this weekend and Jon is visiting his mom. No running around everywhere looking for cupcake toppers for St. Paddy's Day? No AMAZING FUN sitting in a straight line to watch a movie?
She has a lot of things crashing in on her right now (the numbered list someone gave above is a great one), but I still think the finality of her TLC contract really being over (and all the perks that went with it) is hitting her between the eyes, and HARD. All the running, blogging, and fake syrupy sweet persona on Twitter isn't going to fix this. They're done with her.
I don't think they took things out of the house, that would be a bit harsh, but I do think they were continuing to pay for household help, hair services, and Purse Boy. And now they're not. And Purse Boy has probably moved on for other jobs. I'm back to thinking the relationship was all in her head and he did nothing to dispel her delusions as long as TLC was paying him to be her babysitter.
Girlfriend is, for once, dealing with some serious doses of reality right about now. That's why she's struggling to even PRETEND to sound happy on Twitter. She can't.

Whatever he said and whatever he meant, I have a couple of questions. Rhetorical really...
1) why do folks have to Twitter and Facebook everything? What about a private phone call between 2 people, or even a private text message? or private email? Why does every single personal matter have to be Twittered or FB'd? So they can moan later about their lack of privacy?
2)When did 'visitation time' change wording to become 'custody time'? Also, when did playpens change names to become 'pack-n-play'? All these young moms are all about their packnplay packnplay packnplay. But they are the first ones to snit "Oh I will never use a playpen!" but they are sticking that kid in the trendy "Pack-n-Play" awfully fast. Have you seen them? They are nothing but tiny playpens!!!! But my REAL point was about the change in wording between visitation time and custody time. Jon and Kate seem to be using the terms interchangably...
3) I have seen domestic court judges for years order deadbeat dads to go get a job. Now that the Gosselin "preschoolers' are in school fulltime, what are the chances a judge will ask to see proof of employment and W2 before he orders Jon to pay more child support? or is that double standard still in effect, that a gestational carrier can sit at home while the male parent works and pays? I havent worked in Domestic Court for years, I moved over to Adult Probate which is different...
Well, we can speculate all we want, I'm just glad Jon spent time with his wrongfully accused boys, I'm glad Jon is getting some wins in court whatever they may be, and I'm glad we've gone six months now without this kids back on T.V. It's horrible how she exploits them on her blog but at least they're not on T.V.
The more time that goes by, the less cute they will be and the less interest people will have, which is a good thing because it diminishes Kate's chances of ever again putting them back on T.V., as it should be.
By the way, the kids were exploited for about the same time period as the Dionnes, and the Dionnes were pretty darn screwed up. Scary when you think about it.
Speaking of word changes, custody versus visitation, playpen versus Pack-N-Play, when did people start saying "hating on," "loving on," "crushing on?" I absolutely hate it.
Guys, can I please ask you to TRY to ignore the trolls. It's become clear to me there are one or two people with the same M.O. who want to make this their sandbox, and when you reply, not only do I have delete their troll comment, but yours as well. More work.
I know when they are making personal attacks it's hard, but for the sake of saving me time, please try.
I am learning fast about new baby stuff out there, daughter is expecting our first gbaby this summer... few wks back, she texted me, says, "hey can you look in your area for a k'tan for the baby?" I said, 'sure, ....what's a 'k'tan'?" lololol
I sent her a check to buy something for the baby, she said she bought something called a britax carseat/stroller...lol, I've never heard of this brand (but on the bright side, it is made in the good ol' USA! But, she has decided to use cloth diapers...I have heard of those! so far she hasn't mentioned a 'packn'play....... :)
Dwindle: 1) I can't speak for all but I think some people Facebook and Twitter because it allows social contact without accountability. Saying something on the internet is very different than saying it face to face. As far as Kate goes, it's how she keeps herself believing she's relevant. As for Jon, he may have gone public simply because he could, with the ending of his contract. He really hasn't made many comments about his kids except in the context of "Had my kids this weekend", which is something most people say casually in passing.
2) Play pens and play n packs are the same thing. I think more moms use them though for portable cribs to allow their child to nap if they're out and about. At leastt, that's how we used ours.
Visitation - allows Kate to sound magnanimous and in control (The kids are still in my custody, he just gets to visit them more and I allow it because I'm such a good person). Custody - the truth and court mandated, so Jon is saying "No, she's not being nice and no, she's not in control.
3) Child support is determined by a child support calculator. Both parents incomes and the amount of time with each child goes in to determining the cs amount. Not sure how it works in PA, but in CA it's its own separate department. I'm not sure that the judge determines the amount at all out here. I know PA uses the calculator. So I doubt Jon would have to pay an increase unless his income drastically went up.
I think it should be said that some people don't use Facebook and Twitter to constantly invade their privacy. In fact I would venture to say most people.
What I do wonder for those who cross the line into revealing every last detail of their lives is if there is some kind of unresolved insecurity. Maybe they have never felt they got the attention they deserved growing up. Maybe they are not getting enough attention now. I think a lot of it, for a lot of people, is an expression of some issues that could use some therapy.
It makes me wonder if, with Facebook/Twitter filling the void, maybe a lot more people are shying away from therapy and other more constructive methods to handle their issues.
Why is Kate so obsessed with Roma Downey? I mean I know why, to get to Mark Burnett, but this weird latching on especially when Roma never replies is a bit embarrassing.
************************************************
I think that Roma replied once (or twice) a while back. That's enough for Katie to think that she is a part of her inner circle, and that they are bestest friends forever.
Unfortunately for Katie, the entertainers that have worked hard for their fame, have little respect for people like her.
In fact, one of the reasons Jon may be seeking out talent mamagement is so he can show the court that no, being a television star isn't a viable career for him and his child support should not be based on what he can "potentially" earn but rather what he "can" earn. My understanding is some courts do look at your potential earnings so a Dad or Mom doesn't go from being, say, a CEO of a corporation to a teacher just to reduce their salary to spite their ex.
Aggie, congratulations on the future birth of your first grandchild. Being a proud grandma of 2 precious little boys, I know first hand what a special blessing grandchildren are.
And, yes, I agree about the new baby items. I never heard of some of the things my daughter received at her shower.
aggiemom 164, sorry to say, but Britax is a European company, and doesn't manufacture in the USA. Originally German, but now global (like everything else).
Love your posts, by the way. Glad you stick around!
Thank you! We are very excited about the new baby coming..it's been hard too, her hubby is a Naval officer, so we haven't seen them in a while. This is part of why Kate drives me so nuts, she has these precious children and doesn't appreciate nor cherish this time. I'd give anything to have my daughter live close to me again, but that won't happen due to the military move. But she's happy, so that's what important. I am proud of my naval son-in-law, but did he have to take my daughter with him?lololol
aggiemom, is this what you are looking for? I saw quite a few buggies like this in Germany last week. http://www.britaxusa.com/
Do you crochet or knit - or even sew? I just started making baby cocoons as I got tired of making blankets. They are like giant socks for babies. They are cute as heck and people love them. My husband thought they were hats for Marge Simpson's hair! LOL!
aggiemom 174, well, they SELL it in the USA, lol! You have to read the fine print to know where anything comes from these days.
OT, sorry, just happened to be something I knew. (Unless you consider that it relates to the global destruction poor, poor Kate had to deal with yesterday.)
Britax car seats are excellent, expensive and a wide, don't fit well in some cars, something we learned in the "new to us baby product game" upon becoming grandparents 3 years ago. Now we have, for visits, a car seat, a new crib ( no more drop sides, loved my old crib), pac and play, high chair and baskets of new toys and books. So congrats aggiemom, I love this stage. And maybe that is part of my frustration with K8 too - what amazing gifts she has, and all she can do is whine and moan. My g-kids are 400 miles away, she is so blessed and so crazy. And it makes me incredibly sad for what she has done with her extended family, and Jon's as well. My g-kids have grandparents, cousins, second cousins - the G8 will grow up and really be angry about what she kept from them. Just add that to the list.

PJ....don't sew too much anymore, eyes aren't what they used to be. I am thinking about making a blanket, though. I like the cocoon idea, those sound so cute! I just sent her money, told her to but that precious baby a k'tan, :). I don't know the specific stroller/car seat she ordered, I try not to be too nosy, so didn't ask her specifically which one she ordered. I did google that brand, and couldn't believe the prices. How this generation is going to afford housing, health care, children and transportation scares the willies out of me.

I know the feeling, my daughter and son-in-law live in another state. Sad to say, they took my boys with them! lolol. However it's only a 6 hour drive one way so we get long weekends together every 2 months and we get the boys for a whole week twice year. It's can be exhausting, but so very worth it.
I agree about Kate. She has kept her kids from having these special relationships with their grandparents, aunts & uncles, etc. I sometimes feel sorry for her because she is missing out on so much with her own kids so I don't know that she'd ever have that special relationship with grandchildren. This is just my opinion, but if she doesn't start opening her eyes, loneliness in the future will be a reality for her.
thanks for the info! Being a military wife, daughter tries to buy American when she can (she still has time to do 'research', lol) That will change once the baby arrives! We are too far for weekend visits, TX to VA is quite a trip :(
Thanks for everyone being so welcoming. I enjoyed all the chat about the history buffs and novels. Great community here :)

I know for a fact they have 50-50 legal custody, which Kate of course will never mention because she wouldn't dare want to give up that Jon has just as much of a say in the legal, educational and medical decisions as to his kids as she does. That is the key to why these kids are not working --the legal custody." ************************************* Over Yonder mentioned above that a PA doctor couldn't get a shelf stocking job to evade child support, that person must work in a job which capitalizes their full earning potential (and rightly so)
I have to guess that a similar, but reverse situation might be playing out in Jon & Kate's court appearances. As Kate has mentioned many times, she wants and needs to stay in the entertainment business to pay for the very non-mediocre upscale living she's created for herself. While the judge previously seemed willing to give her leeway for the show, because it was such a large source of income, that leeway now seems to be gone.
Kate's mind does not consider any kind of lifestyle that does not include fancy private school, her mansion and the minions who maintain it and her three vehicles. I can only imagine that she has argued in court that she must explore opportunities for keeping the children in the entertainment business, in order to support them. And I can also imagine the judge telling her that she has a perfectly good RN nursing degree to support those kids, mansions, 3 vehicles and private school are not legally required to raise healthy and well adjusted children. Nor is putting the kids back in the public eye just to keep those things.
When I put all this together and think about how Jon basically has Kate up against a wall, it's a little scary. I don't think she bargained for this when she decided the marriage was over, making no attempts or effort to save it. I think she thought she could make him go away and she'd be free to utilize the kids how she chose.
"No nvr means no" to her. That was her tweet verbatim. I think she means it.
Assembled in USA, made in USA. Sounds like Aggiemom's daughter saw the label. Was just trying to point out where she got the information to tell her mom.
Aggiemom, my kids and grandkids are far away too. I try and make a trip once a year. This year with gas prices going sky high that will make plane tickets sky high as well, so I doubt I'll see any of them. :(
My mother was one of 4 sisters, who all lived fairly close to each other; one had "issues", so sometimes she would be speaking to the other 3, sometimes not. We celebrated holidays with my aunts and their families, but because the aunt with issues was often on the outs, my other cousins and I were not as close to her children as we were to each other. And this aunt, sadly, died early from pancreatic cancer; as adults these cousins became peripheral to our grownup lives.OTOH my other cousins and I have maintained close ties, had family vacations and our children think of themselves as 1st cousins, not 2nd. Our daughters have been bridesmaids for each other, and when my youngest got married this pastmfall, not only did she have sisters and cousins, she had their sons and daughters for rinng bearers and flower girls. Another cousin played the ceremony music.
This is what K8 has cut her chidren off from, and had made them their own and only relatives and friends. Obviously people have problems with family members, but we know her parent helped with the twins in her tup pregnancy, and we saw her relationship with a brother and his family. And yet, having made them so increasingly nuclear, we saw her this very week in Globegate turn them on each other. No, I don't think these kids will be bringing grandchildren home for warm and fuzzy visits. Hopefully they will find partners who have the family ties that they have been denied.
As for Jon getting full custody, fine, then he would have to find caregivers for 8 children while he works, around their school hours, vacations, erc. Someone has to have a paying job, and the ex would not be going to work to pay him alimony and child support. That's the whole monkey on the back no one wants to talk about - TLC was indeed the family job and paycheck, too bad for the kids it meant filming their lives away, but too bad for Kate that she royally fucked up her Golden Goose. It's all about you, Kate.
The earning potential rule is a public policy to prevent a parent who has a finance degree and could easily make 120,000 a year from quitting his job and working at a grocery store in order to reduce their child support payments.
If Jon has legitimate reasons for not working in the entertainment world--exposing the kids to scrutiny, it's only something he did for a few years, the income only spiked because of the attention from the divorce and fluctuates too much, I doubt a judge is going to make him be a reality tv star. He is not avoiding reality t.v. to avoid child support. Plus, he did exactly what he should and went out there and got an IT job, exactly what he did before.
I can't see any judge basing his child support on the brief moment in time where he made a lot of money from TLC. THey would base it on what he has done the majority of his career, IT.

I think the kids need to be with the parent that is emotionally healthy and treats the kids as they should be treated..not the parent that has the most money in the bank. If Jon were to gain full custody, Kate would have to pay him, and I would think all her sizable assets would come into play.
As for a professional to take a meager job to lessen his or her child support, well, shame on them! That just proves they hate the ex more than they love the kids. Dang shame.
And yes, you are correct in saying that TLC was the breadwinner. Kate's got her family in a real mess, hasn't she?
Google is our friend said...I think my life is about to mirror yours. transportation is going to prevent me from seeing this new grandbaby. :(
I will say that whever I get a bit whiny about not having our g-babies near us, I do remember that one of the other sets ( 2 of our children have 3 between them and live near each other) of grandparents live in Australia. Then again another set lives 2 blocks away from all of them, lucky folks. Perspective. Another thing Kate lacks.
JonG is the more nurturing parent but he would need more space, more salary, and outside help to have a larger physical custody of his children. Kate would have to be dragged kicking and screaming (and she will be soon enough) to part with any $$$ or god forbid, get a job, court ordered or not. Kids continue to lose, but they do at least have time with their dad in his more normal world. Perhaps, as teens they will ask to live with him, a scenario I doubt Kate has even considered. But the court will take a request from an older child seriously.
How is Kate going to get through the rest of her life without any job aspirations? How is she going to support herself--not just the kids?
Okay, I look at it as: Kate isn't some fresh 18 year old who is sitting and home going to college and munching chips while mom and dad pay. Generally most people this age get fast food jobs or retail or something small which is fine.
Your 20, mid 20s you branch out, you have your degree or at least one degree which allows you to obtain a better job even a foot in the door of the career you want and maybe an apartment somewhere.
Your 30s, by this time most people have one or two degrees depending on their job interest, a full-time job, marriage, a few kids, house payments, etc.
40s, you've still got your job, your kids are older, you begin to think of saving for their college or start early retirement funds, maybe.
50s, some of your kids might be out the door, some not, you've still got a job to go to, your investments are maybe starting to grow, some might to back to school to improve skills, find an extra part-time job for extra income.
60s...most think about retirement, older kids and maybe some grand kids. Your retirement fund is really important and if you've been wise over your years you won't be broke but being broke happens especially in today economy but maybe by the time Kate is in her 60s it might have improved.
Kate's pretty much pushing 40 in a few years. Sure her CC blog is part-time, she may have her nursing license but she hasn't been in that particular field for quite sometime. Last time she tried it her kids made fun of her at the dialysis clinic. She relies on her ex-husband for child support because her part-time job and no TLC isn't going to feed and clothe eight kids, so she says.
She probably doesn't have investment and if she does they probably aren't major judging her and how she spends money.
Without a full-time job to worry about, while she sits at home I think now would be the time to get off her lazy butt and maybe do some online classes at a community college as generally I don't think she'd survive a traditional four-year, I just don't. Having a second degree or a better degree in nursing over a certificate will allow her to get those regular hours she says she can't get.
She can run laundry while she writes papers for class, she can slave over her organic can soups and salads while she scratches her head over algebra problems, she can pick the kids up from school, fold the laundry when she gets back. Take a break from her needs and help her own kids with stuff. Most people who do online classes might do bulk of stuff at night, which if she wasn't lazy she could trade her many hours of Twitter for study time.
Who knows, the extra income might allow her to take her kids to a movie once in a blue moon, buy clothes that fit even!
I just think most people...if you stop whining about how hard life is and suck it up and figure out a way to get what you either want or need out of a particular situation they eventually do what needs to be done like anyone else. Why is this so hard to get through her thick skull? Starting to think like my SIL she was taught to rely on solely getting married to meet her needs in life. What a shame she's afraid to get out their and actually earn something, learn something or contribute something other than her aspirations for being "in the media."
Yes, Kate talks about determination and (when it's whispered in her earpiece) tenacity, but this only applies to getting a job in the media. Anything short of being a rock star and this bitch has all kinds of excuses. It's so cavalier to live in such denial with all those kids
Seriously- does anyone think that she served Brussel sprouts or that the kids ate them? It's just a way for her to feel superior to other mothers who can't get their children to eat them. So a tweetie can say "oh! You're such a great mom to get them to eat that....I could never get mine to do that...."
I totally agree. Kate is now thinking, "Who is going to take care of ME and MY needs?" Gravy train over Kate. Time to step into adulthood and take care of your own damn self and more importantly, your kids. No one feels sorry for you. You are dealing with what everyone else with kids does. Stop whining or wining (whatever) and get a damn job. And be grateful for all of the millions of dollars you received over the years, oh twisted one.
It is NOT up to the kids to support you. Never should have been. Get a job and stop with your ridiculously lame excuses. Millions of parents do it every day, including your loyal fans. Unless you think you are too good to work. Therein lies the problem.

I don't think she bargained for this when she decided the marriage was over, making no attempts or effort to save it. I think she thought she could make him go away and she'd be free to utilize the kids how she chose. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kate thought that she was the source of her fame. Think of Kate as the sun, the kids as the planet and Jon as the moon-just there to reflect her beautiful light. That is pretty much how she saw their family, because, that is how a narcissist views the world. She is essential, and to quote Abby Lee, "EVERYONE is replaceable"--everyone else, that is!
While Kate was traveling on her book promotion tour, Jon became increasingly marginalized and isolated-- reduced to the role of nanny and Compliance Office. When the tabs started their incessant coverage of Jon's extracurricular activities, she decided that, instead of sacrificing her career to help save the marriage, she would sacrifice her marriage and children for her imagined career. There were lots of offers being negotiated, at the time, and she seriously underestimated the balance and charm that Jon provided to offset her commanding and controlling style of parenting. All of the known offers--Healthtex, Paula Deen show and the cookbook were dropped as the mythology of the wholesome Christian mom of eight, with the laid-back husband and crazy, hectic life was destroyed by those first tabloid stories.
Instead of withdrawing from the publicity, the Jon and Kate Hate media tour began and the ugly details of their divorce was conducted in full view of a horrified nation. It became crystal clear that Kate's greed dwarfs any motherly instincts she may have had. .
The irony is, had she withdrawn from the limelight to allow her poor kids to heal and transition, in private, she could have still had a media-related career and a new mythology.
Marie, that was a well thought out post. Unfortunately, in Kate's case, she only surrounds herself with "yes men" who have led her to believe that she will have media gigs for the rest of her life.
Do you think her friend, Jamie, has dared to say to her "you better start thinking about a real job"?
Kate really needs to pull her head out of her ass.
Katie Cry-duh said... 190 ---- She is done in the media and knows it. Except for some of the lamest things ever - CC- exploits kids, a failing cruise- (including twins) and the narcissist blog-Kate Plus MY 8,where she continues to exploit her kids every step of the way by picture and story. Of course, all of her blogs are insane. All of the kids should hate her by now- bras, liars, globes, terror, etc.. And with the TLC contract ending- Prognosis: NOT GOOD AT ALL.
Marie, I've asked that before. Obviously eight kids are her biggest expense right now and will be for another ten years or so. But she'll be 47 when all the kids are gone.
Then what? How will she even support herself?
I guarantee you she was NOT thinking that far down the road and probably still isn't. Hell, she's probably still trying to digest the fact that no network is beating down her door to offer her a new show and fat paycheck.
Kate doesn't get it...people tolerated her, they liked the kids and Jon. TLC sided with her because she was the only parent willing to continue filming the kids, not because they liked her. Jon and the kids provided the charm, Kate supplied the mouth. I kept hoping Jon's Cinderella would finally prevail over Kate's evil stepmother. As she became more forceful and abusive towards him, I had to stop watching.
Nothing says it's over like a canceled contract and no plans for employment.
Whoever said that Kate was going to be in trouble, now and forever, was right. There's nothing she is willing to do to support the kids now, and she has no plans for her own economic future.
She'll be a bag lady pushing a shopping kart on a sidewalk by the time she is 50.
She'll be 50 in 13 short years. Unless she goes back to nursing now, she is done for in the employment market. 50 year old men have trouble finding work, and for women, it is even worse.
Karma, baby. Karma. It's hard to feel pity for someone who demanded so much and gave so little.

From the current issue of the Enquirer. Is this why Kate was so testy about Dance Moms?

I am by no means thinking this is true. But it's curious timing, isn't it?

LOL

Of course Kate's going to say that it's all lies and it made up.
I mean up less the girls want to do it cause it's their choice then she's all for it.

If Kate were trying to get on Dance Moms why did she badmouth it on Twitter?
#200
Maybe she is going to cross the finish line at the LA Marathon.
DC marathon is tomorrow...
http://runrocknroll.competitor.com/usa
That would make sense though, she could drive to DC from PA...so that isn't happening.
The Pittsburgh marathon is May 6th.
I vote she's in NYC for straw maintenance and fish in paper.
BTW Admin ... brilliant! You could quit your day job and do parody full time.
LisaKN
We are not saying kate is a horrible person capable of genocide.
Thanks to those of you for your advice on what tours to see at Gettysburg. I am a new poster, appreciate the feedback.
The dance moms would eat her alive!
Hi guys. I'm alive and pretty well... I've been a bit preoccupied today. Sorry for my silence! What's new? less than a minute ago
&&&
Tease, tease, tease. Hint, hint, hint.
Do you think preoccupied is code for locked in the bedroom with the boxed wine trying to drown her contract-termination sorrows?
HAPPY ST. PATRICK DAY TO YOU ALL!
Hey, and I'm not Catholic or Irish.

Hi guys. I'm alive and pretty well... I've been a bit preoccupied today. Sorry for my silence! What's new?
====

Two words: Deep Throat.
I love how when Kate asks "what's new" or "watcha doing", her tweeties actually tell her. Do they really think she cares?
Marie, my sister just retired after 28 years of nursing. She had two children and when they started school, so did she as the school nurse. Her hours were always the same as theirs -- including vacations. She worked long after her children graduated.
It can be done - Kate just does not want to.

I thoroughly agree with this comment.

@Kateplusmy8 Yep,the super-know-it-all moms here have been offerin their "two cents" abt ur parenting.

P.S. I always read your name as "Gab." Grab is too funny!
I'm Jewish and I was not offended by the video! It is hilarious!

Bearswife-
I loved the book March! Thanks for reminding me about that great read.

I have no doubt that she numbers the toilet paper squares so they don't use more than allowed. They probably have to eat everything before they can drink. She probably bounces a quarter on their beds each morning to see if they are made to her standards. And last, but not least, they probably have to go around the dinner table each evening and each kid has to say something nice about mommy. The one who had the least flattering thing to say has to clean the table and sweep the floor.

Molly, please don't give her anymore ideas!! ;)
Holy crap, the kids are lining up to kiss and hug her?
I need a barf bag.
I can't stand it how every.single.night she has to announce when she is going to bed. Who gives a crap ( besides Milo )?
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

Lighten up. It's just a joke. I don't think there is a soul here who truly thinks Kate is like Hitler. It's simply funny banter about her going batchit over a stupid Globe and poking fun at her histrionics.

I'm having a hard time not poking fun at Fake Lisa's horseshit grammar and punctuation.
Berks I just googled Number the Stars to see what's out there.
Sean Astin just directed a movie version of it!! Coming out in October. Cannot wait.

@Kateplusmy8 Yep,the super-know-it-all moms here have been offerin their "two cents" abt ur parenting. Like they have 2set multiples ur age?
So the only people who are allowed to have opinions about her parenting are those who have two sets of multiples . . . and oh, they also have to be the same age?

Well since Kate put her self out there as Super can do it all mom.
People kind of have the right to give their 2 cents.

Yeah right...Good idea Jabba. Get KIDS to pick up after lazy slobs.
Reader Lady,
I am very familiar with The Hiding Place and my grandma had the privilege of meeting Corrie Ten Boom once.
Why are the Canadians fighting? Stop it. I like Canadians to get along. I love Tim Hortons there is one in my hometown!
kate...If someone made a parody of this with me as the "star"...I would sit back and shut the F up....I would be thinking omg...really?

Happy St. Patty's Day Everyone!
Admin, maybe you can put together a "Shit kate Says"
There is that word again - FUN. Sounds so foreign coming from her.
So the kids "wine" and line up for hugs and kisses. Maybe they were trying to lure her out of hibernation or welcoming her home.
Don't wine, I'm exhausted - if you must have a hug and a kiss, line up, one at a time in birth order.
A hug with one arm and presenting her cheek as she tweeted about the love fest. What, no staged pic?
Happy St. Patrick's Day to all,
Back to the Dance Mom's topic for a moment, I can't see anyway in holy hell that Jon would allow that.

9. After the Phillychitchat fiasco last weekend Gina has finally put her foot down and has given Stevie an ultimatum.
My husband also has a passionate interest in the Civil War. He has Foote's series and also recommends it. He also has a diary written by a relative who fought for the South. His writing tended to be more brief the worse things got. He describes a bit of his time in a camp after one of his early entries where he wrote, "I am taken prisioner."
My interests have taken me into Soviet history. We found a book by Stalin's daughter and after reading it, I had to read anything else I could get my hands on. I'm more the science/math kind of gal.
Admin - when your book is ready, my husband will definitely be interested!
A couple of more things to preoccupy Kate:
10. She made a jackass of herself with the photographer and no one cared enough to request an interview
11. She still hasn't gotten jobs for her kids

@StephenTaylorMM @SuzeW718 @kateplusmy8 They can't make Jon pay any more than he has....some parents only have to pay $50/month per child

Admin, I don't know what the law is in CA regarding child support, but I do know that in PA if a parent is found to be under-employed, he can be made to find a job for which he is qualified. For example, a physician cannot work stocking shelves in a store simply because he doesn't want to pay a high amount of child support.
10. She made a jackass of herself with the photographer and no one cared enough to request an interview

I have no idea why Jon hasn't filed for a change in custody.
###
He has. And got the boys more. He even tweeted confirming this.
*snark*
(here's a good hint...to determine if eggs are safe to eat, here's how you know: Fill a sink full of cold water...place eggs in sink, ones that remain on bottom are safe to eat, those that float are not!)
store-bought eggs are usually good way past their stamped date..fyi. :)

I mean, as he file for full custody due to Kate's abusiveness. He certainly has due reason to.

I don't follow Jon's twitter. What happened with filing for more time with the boys? And why not all the kids,if anyone knows??
This is NUTS. Makes no freakin' sense.

Mom in that case got lucky with a judge who UNDERSTANDS the simple concept of parental alienation (a concept apparently not so simple to most judges).
http://www.mrcustodycoach.com/blog/pa-father-ordered-to-shut-down-blog

She can't.
I agree; doesn't necessarily mean nay permanent change :( Figures Kate would just allow the boys to go.

I am learning fast about new baby stuff out there, daughter is expecting our first gbaby this summer...
few wks back, she texted me, says, "hey can you look in your area for a k'tan for the baby?"
I said, 'sure, ....what's a 'k'tan'?" lololol
I sent her a check to buy something for the baby, she said she bought something called a britax carseat/stroller...lol, I've never heard of this brand (but on the bright side, it is made in the good ol' USA!
But, she has decided to use cloth diapers...I have heard of those!
so far she hasn't mentioned a 'packn'play....... :)
Dwindle:
1) I can't speak for all but I think some people Facebook and Twitter because it allows social contact without accountability.

Whatever floats her boat.
Jon has always referred to his time with the kids as his custody. When Kate had them it was her custody....who knows with these two...
Anyway, it's all speculation as Admin said.

I am proud of my naval son-in-law, but did he have to take my daughter with him?lololol
well, she told me it was a USA product, I took her word for it.

aggiemom, is this what you are looking for? I saw quite a few buggies like this in Germany last week. http://www.britaxusa.com/
Do you crochet or knit - or even sew? I just started making baby cocoons as I got tired of making blankets. They are like giant socks for babies. They are cute as heck and people love them. My husband thought they were hats for Marge Simpson's hair! LOL!
Congratulations!
aggiemom 174, well, they SELL it in the USA, lol!

Aggie & Westcoaster,
I know the feeling, my daughter and son-in-law live in another state.
Google is our friend 179, interesting info re Britax, but it's from a third party site, not from the Britax web sites.
"Made in USA" means "assembled in USA", which COULD mean MANUFACTURED in USA, but almost never does.
One wouldn't be wrong to be skeptical of "US and global components", either. Could be only the screws are US made, even though assembly is in the US.
That's what that sort of phrase usually means. You know, we bought a few screws in the USA, or "we waved an American flag over it".
There are a ton of marketing-friendly ways to state these things to obscure the factory in China where so much of what we buy is made.
We're just not the manufacturing powerhouse we once were here in the USA, and we make very few consumer goods here anymore.
Google is our friend said... 179
thanks for the info!

"Couldn't agree more. Visitation marginalizes Jon. Shared custody makes it sound like they each have an important part. I know for a fact they have 50-50 legal custody, which Kate of course will never mention because she wouldn't dare want to give up that Jon has just as much of a say in the legal, educational and medical decisions as to his kids as she does. That is the key to why these kids are not working --the legal custody."
*************************************
Over Yonder mentioned above that a PA doctor couldn't get a shelf stocking job to evade child support, that person must work in a job which capitalizes their full earning potential (and rightly so)
I have to guess that a similar, but reverse situation might be playing out in Jon & Kate's court appearances.

She is done in the media and knows it.
Calling Papa Jon, where are you?
Marie, I've asked that before. Obviously eight kids are her biggest expense right now and will be for another ten years or so. But she'll be 47 when all the kids are gone.
Then what? How will she even support herself?
I guarantee you she was NOT thinking that far down the road and probably still isn't. Hell, she's probably still trying to digest the fact that no network is beating down her door to offer her a new show and fat paycheck.

___________
Maybe Jamie did it could be why we don't hear about her anymore and with the whole RV thing and.
Kate being cancelled Jamie could have said it's time to get a real job and Kate said bye bye to her.
Great post Marie.
Kate can't see beyond the end of her nose. As much as she harps that she's organized and a planner, she didn't do much planning for the future.
She thought those kids were her Golden Geese who would just keep laying forever.
