I love reading all of you ladies' comments. You are all insightful, witty and SMART. Khate is such a loser, and I am glad that there is this forum to expose the little witch. (Her TV show did that as well, HA HA). Oh, and to Mady and Cara: "Have fun with your new job, being full-time nanny to the 'tups. Amy2, we were watching some old Cake Boss episode the other day (boredom had set in) and my husband said, "That's like a 10,000 dollar watch!" I don't know if it was Buddy or his wife wearing it, but they do seem to spend a lot. Even if you make a lot, you don't have to spend a lot. My husband has some colleagues who are REALLY into expensive watches. We were all together in China recently (from all over the world) and they were talking with these hubcaps on their wrists and I saw the main one looking at my wrist. I said, "I see you looking! $59.99 Costco special, 1994, I'm a good advertisement for Swiss Army, this baby never leaves my wrist!" They all laughed uncomfortably. Most of their wives don't hesitate to plunk down $700 on a pair of Jimmy Choo for the Christmas party, and here I am wearing a $60 watch that's 18 years old, zipping from one site to another, in one city after another, while their wives go shopping at the same stupid exclusive stores they can go to here. And my husband is their boss or peer! Cracks me up.
Patk: apparently there wasn't. no mention of her on any of the TV rags. (Inside Ed, ET etc.) no appearance on any of the Talk shows on the westcoast either or radio shows. Kate is a nothing. So Kate and all the runners got a medal, T-shirt, running gear, jacket or did she buy that? I won't pat her on the back. Kate could have done a lot of marathons in her area, no need to spend the money she says she does not have, for double bookings at hotel(that is if her & PB are not shacking up), air fare for both, meals, marathon gear for PB, limo? for what 5-6 days.
Question: people who have run marathons before: would PB, be allowed to run next to Kate during race, supposedly he is not register for the race, just her lackey carrying her royal shit or does he go the distance on the side lines? Man if he is running beside her, then he should be register? Don't ya think?

I am beginning to think that perhaps there is some sort of link-up with RnR. But it's hard to discern the nature of it.
Dwindle: You know, I go to my sister-in-laws family cook-outs and even when we all get together: someone will buy 2 half gallon ice cream in flavors and that is plenty for 30 people, cause some will not have ice cream, only cake. And everyone usually gets a scoop. So 5 gallon seems a bit much, since Kate is a portion control freak, and those kids probably get tablespoon full of ice cream. And that icecream is not organic. I don't think they even sell organic ice cream in 5 gallon containers. Or the kids are allowed to have ice cream when they feel like it.

There is no better cake than from-scratch carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. I made one every year for my father's birthday. I can't bring myself to make one since he died. It was a Dad-specific cake, I guess.

Since we know she reads here and addresses all our points eventually, we should keep needling her about refusing to allow her growing children drinking milk, especially in light of the high starch-low protein diet she keeps them on. Within a week or two she'll dole out 4 oz each of choco milk and tweet it as 'a rare treat'.
I've always thought the banishment from the bedroom and "penalty of severeness" comment was aimed at Jon and not the kids.
Dwindle -- love your comments. You're right. KK would rather travel with her bodyguard/road manager/lover than buy milk for her children. Heck, she'd rather not be with her children at all!
Thanks for posting her CC blog, aggiemom. I went there once and discovered that they left spyware on my computer. Fortunately, my Norton caught it quickly and eliminated it.
I'm not a baker. I rarely bake anything, but even I can manage a basic white cake and icing, even from scratch (although I much prefer the skills of Betty Crocker :) . The poster above who noted that trying to frost a warm cake will result in frosting failure was correct. That's why the directions always say cool on rack before frosting! Oh wait, I forgot, KK says good cooks don't need directions.

No, Leigh. They are not babies, and if she missed them so much she would have grabbed the first flight out of there on Sunday or bright and early yesterday morning.
No offense, but is it really all that difficult to make frosting? I've made frosting from scratch lots of times and it's never given me a problem. The trick is to pour the milk in in little spurts and watch the consistency. You may not need all the milk.
People are mentioning cream cheese frosting, so maybe that's what she was making? Perhaps she didn't chill it before frosting it.
Anyway, I have to agree that it sounds like she was working really hard to turn what is pretty simple party planning into a blog episode.
Ugh the gloating. I thought finishing was winning??? She is still talking about her time and has now rounded her average mile time from 8:58 to 8 minutes. Blech.

Question about her time...Wouldn't most people's finish time in a 1/2 marathon be faster than her split (at the same mile) in the full? I mean, you're only running 1/2 the miles so you'd have to have a slower pace (in the full) so you can endure the remainder of the marathon. How can she compare the two?

Since she undoubtedly booked her flight months ago and made hotel reservations in advance, here is an idea of cost for travel and hotel:
1. Nonstop flight from Philly to SD: approx $500 round trip per person. 2. One stop flight as above: approx $300 round trip per person (doubt she did a one-stop) 3. Mid-range hotel in SD per night: $200 (Just a guess) 4. Meals: Who knows? She does like high-end places. Three meals per day for several days with her demands are expensive. 5. Transport: Depends on what she chose.
Bottom line: The trip cost her AT LEAST a few thousand dollars. She needs to pony up and take her kids on a comparable trip. Maybe then I will have a grain of respect for her.
I don't want to offend anyone here, but I have known so many women in my lifetime. There was a time when a woman said I want to get married and have a family. Slowly they started to say I want to get a job, get married and have a baby. Then it was I want a job and a husband. Why is that? Because being a mother, even if you stay home all day is a hard job, probably the hardest job in the world. Not only do you have the household to care for but as those little, tiny, cute babies learn to walk, talk, grow and then they have questions and that is emotionally draining at times. Their energy far outweighs the mother or father. Now you see more women who realize too late that they should never have had children. The work is immense today. Not that the household work is harder, we have all the automatic appliances and greatest vacuum cleaners, etc., but the children? They are smarter, they are educated faster due to this world of computers, ipads, and all the social networks, etc., they are in the same room and don't hear you but they need and that never changes. I do think that Kate may have jumped onto marrying Jon because his father was a dentist. That was probably a good catch in her world "my father in law has a dental practice" but when they had the twins, Kate wanted to see what it was like to have just one baby to take care of, a need to have another baby, single, one. I think. Perhaps she did think she wouldn't get pregnant, so hence the influx of all those eggs with the turkey baster. Never and I do think this, never did she think she would have 6 children and when they learned they would have 6, she started her letter campaign to get attention. She loved the attention, she was the local religious (not having the "A" thing but going the distance with delivering and raising God's gift) so she went with all that attention on and into the hospital, newspapers and then the influx of the church, the volunteers, then TLC came along and guess what "this is really great, I am so special, I have people climbing over each other to see me, paying me to speak to them in churches, etc., and flying me in first class. I am so important I am autographing photos of the G8 and selling them. Wow. Then the books, the TV show got bigger, the places they went to further and always first class but as those little kids started growing, Kate realized that they alone were not want she wanted, she did not want 8 children nor did she want marriage, it was too much. She wanted to be wanted but not by children. Just TV and if it had to be with the kids, then yeah, okay, but still she would do Talk Shows, interviews. Then it ended. Now she really understands after this year of the kids being home for the year, that she did not want to be this mother of 8. I do believe if Jon had a great job making a lot of money and he wanted more custody and Kate was offered a radio show from LAX then Kate would go and leave those kids to Jon if she could have that career in the world of the pretty people.
Kate's thrilling happiness and photo of her happiness in her eyes is her discovering being happy. Her children do not make her happy unless she is on TV, having people take full time care of those children. Kate will end up giving up those kids to Jon and he won't be going to court to get them. Kate is not the mothering type, never has been and now she realizes it more than she ever has this past year being with the kids. Soon as she finally realizes no TV show.

Give it a week and Kate's opinion of herself will have grown into a giant monster...she has gone from "Oscar" speeches to "thanks for turning me into a gold medal Olympic winner". .... I have to beat my 8 minute mile..wtf?! She ran a 9 min. Mile minus 2 seconds. That is the time of a medicre runner at best. It's obvious that she isnbored, can't stand being with the kids and needs a grandiose excuse to travel away from them to justify it. She drives me nuts.
Kate's a goofy woman. She lets her twins or at least one of them, read the Hunger Games, (which I think is more of an HS teen drama, than a pre-tw=enn thing), but Kate would not let the twins read Harry Potter, which is more for their age group(especially the earlier books). I always say Kates ass backwards. Maybe Kate reads the Hunger Games books, after all Kate is of the mindset level.
How to save money by flying to CA to run in a race and get some pap pics. Hummm, what oh, save money by cheaping out on the kidlets that you love more then life itself. Can't afford a massage at the spa train your 11 year old mini-moms to give you a nightly rub down. She really is a freakish old hag. I hope the twins get to wear rubber gloves when they have the gag worthy chore to rub monster mom's leathery hide down. Ugh.
Fidomommy: Baker's Square has real good extreme Carrot cake. If you need a Carrot Cake fix. But, you know in my family we make, a deceased persons favorite dish for a holiday(xmas, moms day, fathers day, thanksgiving, birthday) or on what was their birthday to remember them, it's like having them there. My mother liked Fruit Cake, so does my nephew-in-law. But I always smile at Xmas time, when I see a fruit cake(reminds me of my mom).
And about frosting, Kate get over it, it's just frosting. Buy it next time at the dollar store, no one will know or care.
There are 2 neighbors who got close to that family could be thru Jon or Ashley or Jaime or someone who did work around that house while still filming that know a lot about Kate. She had crew members who didn't like her ordering them around and asked to be changed. Kate did not make friends as fast as she made enemies. TLC removed 4 producers from K+8. You think people who got into that house don't talk? You think the twins don't talk? Or Jon didn't make friends in town? You might be surprised.Paps learned a lot more from former volunteers and former church workers and former family friends of Kate and Jon's families, friends. Jon gave enough info to his ex girlfriends that they could write a lot about what Kate is like. One was friends with Kate when her father the doctor worked on Kate.
p.s Never heard 'you ins' until I read it here. Anyone else know what a stoop is though? :)

So Chicago in July, and Coupon Cabin is promoting her, I guess we know who is picking up her expenses for that race, and who probably picked up the tab for San Diego too. My only question is why, or who there is that stupid, or naive, to pay for Kate X2. Shaking my head.

The Chicago Mini Marathon is only a 5K (3 miles). There is also an RnR half-marathon taking place on that date, but it sounds like Kate is only doing the 5K. Notice that CC's ad says that they will send you "details" after you register. This must be where Kate comes in. The current blurb says NOTHING about Kate spending any time or doing any photo opps with registrants. I guess CC wants to "vet" the entry pool, just like Cindy? I wonder if they have CJ on the job? She has been the most prolific commenter on Kate's CC blogs, so they cannot have failed to notice her.

That marathon in Chicago is July 22 on sunday. Kate is gonna run 3 miles, that is the mini marathon and there is a full. The mini marathon is at 6:30am, is 3 miles and costs $45. to register to run, you get a t-shirt and bag and your number. There is a fitness expo on the 20-21. So friday to sunday. Is the coupon cabin for $45 dollars to pay Kate or is this to register for the run?
How many of you want to bet Kate will leave on thursday, spend a day at CC, do the early morning local news stations and go home on tuesday, cause running 3 miles is exhusting.
Emily (20), your point is well taken, and I see exactly where you are coming from. But I personally don't buy the "I wanted to see what it would be like with just one" story, simply because Kate has said that they considered adopting a baby before her second pregnancy, there was in fact a baby more or less lined up, and then they didn't go ahead with it. And six months later, she was pregnant with HOMs. She KNEW, after having twins the first time, that she was at high risk for more than one. And she ALSO knew that she was "hyper-stimulated" when she got Jon into bed. The "just one more" line would be plausible were there not a whole host of other circumstances (which she herself has described) that point in a different direction.
Besides, there is also the whole financial picture. She and Jon were barely making it with two, and she needs a third, "just to see what one baby is like"? Please. Who DOES that in this day and age? (Besides the Duggars, who, by the way, appear to be able to afford all of the children they made.)
The mini is only 5k, 3.1 miles. You do see teams running all levels at all events, and you just put on your team shirt and meet where you agreed to get together. Not a big deal. I don't see her having very much of a pack to run with, honestly.
Haha, y'all are right, she did go from an almost 9-minute mile to 8 in one fell tweet! Oh dear lord..........do it on a treadmill to see how it feels. 9 is WAY different than 8. Funny.
So if Kate had really ran the full marathon in LV why did she not have that same happy glow and look of excitement on her face? I guess if you had any question about her really running that one it has been answered. This one she can brag about because she feels like she accomplished something. Even though she didn't make great time in the LV marathon, if she had indeed ran it she would have been proud of herself for finishing and been more excited.
She is on twitter now because she is home and needs to hear how great she is from her minions. Never mind that she has been away from her children for days.

yes, a stoop is a small concrete porch. Ours was on the front of the house. Nobody in our neighborhood had actual front porches, just small concrete stoops, each designed to fit that house's style. Ours was probably 6' by 9' with black wrought iron railings.

Gift of gab, if you: type in rock-n-roll chicago 2012, the mini marathon is there. You have the choice to either register for the half or mini. And the mini has been registering for some time at a cheaper price, as it gets closer to the race, it get more expensive. And for the mini, you have to be 8 years old and up to run. PB won't be able to run next to Kate unless he is register as a runner. I wonder if the kids are going to run with Kate, at the mini? Maybe Kate will announce this later, especially if CC get a low registing count.

I'm not sure who or what Milo is. Unless he/she/it ventures to some kind of meet and greet and has a picture taken with Kate (which, of course, would be a big secret, only seen by a select chose few), we may never know. Perhaps some things are best left to the imagination.
One thing for sure, though. If Milo ever meets Kate, Steve better be ready to pick Milo up, clean off the drool, change her Depends, stand her upright, have the smelling salts uncorked and the EMTs on stand-by with the oxygen.

It's the cruise all over again, except now she's seeing if she can get anyone to hang out with her for less than three grand. And while running. I laughed so hard when I read that, I thought I pulled something.
Problem is, unless one of her five or six fans lives in the Chicago area, they're going to have to fly or drive and get a hotel. That won't be cheap, plus meals and everything else.
Oh Kate. WHEN WILL YOU LEARN? Only a very few people would actually pay to hang out with you and those people are mostly not able to travel to do so!
I think she'll get even fewer takers on this than the cruise, because come on: how many of her handful of fans can run a 5K AND have the time and money to travel to Chicago to do it?
(And won't it be hot?)
Paige? Unlikely. She doesn't even have a passport. That Austin kid? Again, unlikely. Milo? With all her health problems, really? And isn't one of her fans dealing with a hole in her heart or something? Leigha or whatever her name is already drove 10-12 hours EACH WAY to get five minutes with Kate, so she's not going to do it.
Plus, this is what they'll get for their trouble: MAYBE a hello and a picture. That's it! I know that for certain because that's all anyone else has ever gotten who has gone to a lot of trouble to meet her. Hellopicturegoodbye. In a rush! Got a lot to do!
I get the distinct feeling everyone who has met her in person comes away ranging from mildly disappointed to very disappointed, they just mostly keep it to themselves. But you can tell. That Elvis guy, Leigha, Iwanna, none of them went well.
So this is what she's reduced to now. Trying to get people to pay to run in the same race with her. I just started laughing all over again. ANYone can sign up for that race. It's not exclusive with her.
And I don't think she'll bring any kids. I predicted she'd do whatever she could to get away from them. Well, here's another getaway!
I wonder if this mini marathon is the "dream" she mailed and sealed with a kiss. Maybe she mailed CC a proposal about what a great idea it was. She'll get the fans hyped for it because of the SD run, she'll run the mini because the kids can particpate, CC will get advertising from the t-shirts, and all CC has to do is pay for it.
The kids can then get the beach getaway they were "begging" for and the fans can have their meet & greet that they've been begging for. Win-win situation all around-especially for Kate because it won't cost her a cent.
First it was cruise with Kate (and make a craft with her, LOL!). Three grand! Hardly anyone signed up, it was a clusterf*ck, and then it was canceled.
Now it's run with Kate. That'll flop, too. Everything she touches (reverse Midas touch) flops.
So what's after that? It'll get less elaborate and cheaper as time goes on.

Exhausted, positive...anyone else think Kate just throws those words out there and has absolutely no idea what they mean? Seems just like she throws them out there to make herself appear relatable.
I am sure those of you who are mother's are not always exhausted just because you re with the kids. Most...don't you get less sleep for variety of reasons then get up the next day and don't complain about it you just go on about your business even if you re tiered?
As far as her being a positive person I don't think she chose to look for the good in Jon she chose to look more for what she could blame him for.
I don't know a whole lot about marriage but I do know that quite possibly it's something you have to work at regardless of your circumstances. Kate appeared to want this perfect lovey-dove Christian type marriage. Sorry but it's just possible that all relationships need work. That takes two people to commit to working at something not just throwing words out there on a wing and a hope that they'll stick and make you seem convincing.
The more you try to convince someone of something else it's more likely you are just trying to convince yourself but will never admit it. Kate can't admit she's done things to herself that are her own fault. Well, honey, the shoe can't always be on the other foot...even if you swear you're a size 5 or whatever.

Wait, wasn't the marathon over by the time the twins were supposeously at church? It started at 6:30 am (9:30 am eastern time). I beleive they go to the 10 or 11 am service or am I wrong? I also doubt they would have known Milo's twitter handle or even how to read people's tweets online unless their 'friend' knew Kate or Milo's twitter handle.
Jenny did it in 2:31, but it looks like she was running with a kid. Her husband did it in 3:31 or something and he was running with a kid too. Maybe he has sons who are old enough to run and they each ran with one.

Amy2, we were watching some old Cake Boss episode the other day (boredom had set in) and my husband said, "That's like a 10,000 dollar watch!" My husband has some colleagues who are REALLY into expensive watches. We were all together in China recently (from all over the world) and they were talking with these hubcaps on their wrists and I saw the main one looking at my wrist. I said, "I see you looking! $59.99 Costco special, 1994, I'm a good advertisement for Swiss Army, this baby never leaves my wrist!" They all laughed uncomfortably. Most of their wives don't hesitate to plunk down $700 on a pair of Jimmy Choo for the Christmas party, and here I am wearing a $60 watch that's 18 years old, zipping from one site to another, in one city after another, while their wives go shopping at the same stupid exclusive stores they can go to here. And my husband is their boss or peer! Cracks me up.
Patk: apparently there wasn't. no mention of her on any of the TV rags. (Inside Ed, ET etc.) no appearance on any of the Talk shows on the westcoast either or radio shows. Kate is a nothing. So Kate and all the runners got a medal, T-shirt, running gear, jacket or did she buy that? I won't pat her on the back. Dwindle: You know, I go to my sister-in-laws family cook-outs and even when we all get together: someone will buy 2 half gallon ice cream in flavors and that is plenty for 30 people, cause some will not have ice cream, only cake. And everyone usually gets a scoop. So 5 gallon seems a bit much, since Kate is a portion control freak, and those kids probably get tablespoon full of ice cream. And that icecream is not organic. I don't think they even sell organic ice cream in 5 gallon containers. Or the kids are allowed to have ice cream when they feel like it.
Sitting here w/ my kids...glad mom is home. They are so proud of me on my 1/2 finish time... I am so proud of them for... Just being them!:)

Since we know she reads here and addresses all our points eventually, we should keep needling her about refusing to allow her growing children drinking milk, especially in light of the high starch-low protein diet she keeps them on. Within a week or two she'll dole out 4 oz each of choco milk and tweet it as 'a rare treat'.
I've always thought the banishment from the bedroom and "penalty of severeness" comment was aimed at Jon and not the kids.

I'm not a baker. I rarely bake anything, but even I can manage a basic white cake and icing, even from scratch (although I much prefer the skills of Betty Crocker :) . The poster above who noted that trying to frost a warm cake will result in frosting failure was correct. That's why the directions always say cool on rack before frosting! Oh wait, I forgot, KK says good cooks don't need directions.

No, Leigh. They are not babies, and if she missed them so much she would have grabbed the first flight out of there on Sunday or bright and early yesterday morning.
No offense, but is it really all that difficult to make frosting? I've made frosting from scratch lots of times and it's never given me a problem. The trick is to pour the milk in in little spurts and watch the consistency. You may not need all the milk.
People are mentioning cream cheese frosting, so maybe that's what she was making? Perhaps she didn't chill it before frosting it.
Anyway, I have to agree that it sounds like she was working really hard to turn what is pretty simple party planning into a blog episode.
Ugh the gloating. I thought finishing was winning??? She is still talking about her time and has now rounded her average mile time from 8:58 to
8 minutes. Blech.

I mean, you're only running 1/2 the miles so you'd have to have a slower pace (in the full) so you can endure the remainder of the marathon. How can she compare the two?

Since she undoubtedly booked her flight months ago and made hotel reservations in advance, here is an idea of cost for travel and hotel:
1. Nonstop flight from Philly to SD: approx $500 round trip per person.
2. One stop flight as above: approx $300 round trip per person (doubt she did a one-stop)
3. Mid-range hotel in SD per night: $200 (Just a guess)
4. Meals: Who knows? She does like high-end places. Three meals per day for several days with her demands are expensive.
5. Transport: Depends on what she chose.
Bottom line: The trip cost her AT LEAST a few thousand dollars. She needs to pony up and take her kids on a comparable trip. Maybe then I will have a grain of respect for her.
I don't want to offend anyone here, but I have known so many women in my lifetime. There was a time when a woman said I want to get married and have a family. Slowly they started to say I want to get a job, get married and have a baby. Then it was I want a job and a husband. Why is that? Because being a mother, even if you stay home all day is a hard job, probably the hardest job in the world. Not only do you have the household to care for but as those little, tiny, cute babies learn to walk, talk, grow and then they have questions and that is emotionally draining at times. Their energy far outweighs the mother or father. Now you see more women who realize too late that they should never have had children. The work is immense today. Not that the household work is harder, we have all the automatic appliances and greatest vacuum cleaners, etc., but the children? They are smarter, they are educated faster due to this world of computers, ipads, and all the social networks, etc., they are in the same room and don't hear you but they need and that never changes.
I do think that Kate may have jumped onto marrying Jon because his father was a dentist. That was probably a good catch in her world "my father in law has a dental practice" but when they had the twins, Kate wanted to see what it was like to have just one baby to take care of, a need to have another baby, single, one. I think. Perhaps she did think she wouldn't get pregnant, so hence the influx of all those eggs with the turkey baster. Never and I do think this, never did she think she would have 6 children and when they learned they would have 6, she started her letter campaign to get attention. She loved the attention, she was the local religious (not having the "A" thing but going the distance with delivering and raising God's gift) so she went with all that attention on and into the hospital, newspapers and then the influx of the church, the volunteers, then TLC came along and guess what "this is really great, I am so special, I have people climbing over each other to see me, paying me to speak to them in churches, etc., and flying me in first class. I am so important I am autographing photos of the G8 and selling them. Wow. Then the books, the TV show got bigger, the places they went to further and always first class but as those little kids started growing, Kate realized that they alone were not want she wanted, she did not want 8 children nor did she want marriage, it was too much. She wanted to be wanted but not by children. Just TV and if it had to be with the kids, then yeah, okay, but still she would do Talk Shows, interviews. Then it ended. Now she really understands after this year of the kids being home for the year, that she did not want to be this mother of 8. I do believe if Jon had a great job making a lot of money and he wanted more custody and Kate was offered a radio show from LAX then Kate would go and leave those kids to Jon if she could have that career in the world of the pretty people.
Kate's thrilling happiness and photo of her happiness in her eyes is her discovering being happy. Her children do not make her happy unless she is on TV, having people take full time care of those children. Kate will end up giving up those kids to Jon and he won't be going to court to get them. Kate is not the mothering type, never has been and now she realizes it more than she ever has this past year being with the kids. Soon as she finally realizes no TV show.

Give it a week and Kate's opinion of herself will have grown into a giant monster...she has gone from "Oscar" speeches to "thanks for turning me into a gold medal Olympic winner". .... I have to beat my 8 minute mile..wtf?! She ran a 9 min. Mile minus 2 seconds. That is the time of a medicre runner at best. It's obvious that she isnbored, can't stand being with the kids and needs a grandiose excuse to travel away from them to justify it. She drives me nuts.

She lets her twins or at least one of them, read the Hunger Games, (which I think is more of an HS teen drama, than a pre-tw=enn thing), but Kate would not let the twins read Harry Potter, which is more for their age group(especially the earlier books). I always say Kates ass backwards. Maybe Kate reads the Hunger Games books, after all Kate is of the mindset level.
How to save money by flying to CA to run in a race and get some pap pics. Hummm, what oh, save money by cheaping out on the kidlets that you love more then life itself. Can't afford a massage at the spa train your 11 year old mini-moms to give you a nightly rub down. She really is a freakish old hag. I hope the twins get to wear rubber gloves when they have the gag worthy chore to rub monster mom's leathery hide down. Ugh.
Fidomommy: Baker's Square has real good extreme Carrot cake. If you need a Carrot Cake fix. But, you know in my family we make, a deceased persons favorite dish for a holiday(xmas, moms day, fathers day, thanksgiving, birthday) or on what was their birthday to remember them, it's like having them there. My mother liked Fruit Cake, so does my nephew-in-law. But I always smile at Xmas time, when I see a fruit cake(reminds me of my mom).
And about frosting, Kate get over it, it's just frosting. Buy it next time at the dollar store, no one will know or care.
There are 2 neighbors who got close to that family could be thru Jon or Ashley or Jaime or someone who did work around that house while still filming that know a lot about Kate. She had crew members who didn't like her ordering them around and asked to be changed. Kate did not make friends as fast as she made enemies. TLC removed 4 producers from K+8. You think people who got into that house don't talk? You think the twins don't talk? Or Jon didn't make friends in town? You might be surprised.Paps learned a lot more from former volunteers and former church workers and former family friends of Kate and Jon's families, friends. Jon gave enough info to his ex girlfriends that they could write a lot about what Kate is like. One was friends with Kate when her father the doctor worked on Kate.
So now Mady is a writer-hopefully a better one than her mom :(

The Chicago Mini Marathon is only a 5K (3 miles). There is also an RnR half-marathon taking place on that date, but it sounds like Kate is only doing the 5K. Notice that CC's ad says that they will send you "details" after you register. This must be where Kate comes in. The current blurb says NOTHING about Kate spending any time or doing any photo opps with registrants. I guess CC wants to "vet" the entry pool, just like Cindy? I wonder if they have CJ on the job? She has been the most prolific commenter on Kate's CC blogs, so they cannot have failed to notice her.

Rhymes-a "stoop" is what NYers like myself call our front steps. From Wikipedia: "In urban architecture, a stoop is a small staircase ending in a platform and leading to the entrance of an apartment building or other building."
I'm assuming that's the kind of stoop you meant.
That marathon in Chicago is July 22 on sunday. Kate is gonna run 3 miles, that is the mini marathon and there is a full. The mini marathon is at 6:30am, is 3 miles and costs $45. to register to run, you get a t-shirt and bag and your number. There is a fitness expo on the 20-21. So friday to sunday. Is the coupon cabin for $45 dollars to pay Kate or is this to register for the run?
How many of you want to bet Kate will leave on thursday, spend a day at CC, do the early morning local news stations and go home on tuesday, cause running 3 miles is exhusting.
Emily (20), your point is well taken, and I see exactly where you are coming from. But I personally don't buy the "I wanted to see what it would be like with just one" story, simply because Kate has said that they considered adopting a baby before her second pregnancy, there was in fact a baby more or less lined up, and then they didn't go ahead with it. And six months later, she was pregnant with HOMs. She KNEW, after having twins the first time, that she was at high risk for more than one. And she ALSO knew that she was "hyper-stimulated" when she got Jon into bed. The "just one more" line would be plausible were there not a whole host of other circumstances (which she herself has described) that point in a different direction.
Besides, there is also the whole financial picture. She and Jon were barely making it with two, and she needs a third, "just to see what one baby is like"? Please. Who DOES that in this day and age? (Besides the Duggars, who, by the way, appear to be able to afford all of the children they made.)
Well, the mini-marathon starts at 6:30 am-so the fans will finally have their "morning run with Kate", that was supposed to be part of the cruise.

Dwindle: a stoop is the first step of the stairs to your house. It can also mean stupid: as in your a stoop, your such a stoop(more of slang)
The mini is only 5k, 3.1 miles. You do see teams running all levels at all events, and you just put on your team shirt and meet where you agreed to get together. Not a big deal. I don't see her having very much of a pack to run with, honestly.

So if Kate had really ran the full marathon in LV why did she not have that same happy glow and look of excitement on her face? I guess if you had any question about her really running that one it has been answered. This one she can brag about because she feels like she accomplished something. Even though she didn't make great time in the LV marathon, if she had indeed ran it she would have been proud of herself for finishing and been more excited.
She is on twitter now because she is home and needs to hear how great she is from her minions. Never mind that she has been away from her children for days.

yes, a stoop is a small concrete porch. Ours was on the front of the house. Nobody in our neighborhood had actual front porches, just small concrete stoops, each designed to fit that house's style. Ours was probably 6' by 9'

Gift of gab, if you: type in rock-n-roll chicago 2012, the mini marathon is there. You have the choice to either register for the half or mini. And the mini has been registering for some time at a cheaper price, as it gets closer to the race, it get more expensive. And for the mini, you have to be 8 years old and up to run. PB won't be able to run next to Kate unless he is register as a runner. I wonder if the kids are going to run with Kate, at the mini? Maybe Kate will announce this later, especially if CC get a low registing count.

I'm not sure who or what Milo is. Unless he/she/it ventures to some kind of meet and greet and has a picture taken with Kate (which, of course, would be a big secret, only seen by a select chose few), we may never know. Perhaps some things are best left to the imagination.
One thing for sure, though. If Milo ever meets Kate, Steve better be ready to pick Milo up, clean off the drool, change her Depends, stand her upright, have the smelling salts uncorked and the EMTs on stand-by with the oxygen.

It's the cruise all over again, except now she's seeing if she can get anyone to hang out with her for less than three grand. And while running. I laughed so hard when I read that, I thought I pulled something.
Problem is, unless one of her five or six fans lives in the Chicago area, they're going to have to fly or drive and get a hotel. That won't be cheap, plus meals and everything else.
Oh Kate. WHEN WILL YOU LEARN? Only a very few people would actually pay to hang out with you and those people are mostly not able to travel to do so!
I think she'll get even fewer takers on this than the cruise, because come on: how many of her handful of fans can run a 5K AND have the time and money to travel to Chicago to do it?

And I don't think she'll bring any kids. I predicted she'd do whatever she could to get away from them. Well, here's another getaway!
I wonder if this mini marathon is the "dream" she mailed and sealed with a kiss. Maybe she mailed CC a proposal about what a great idea it was. She'll get the fans hyped for it because of the SD run, she'll run the mini because the kids can particpate, CC will get advertising from the t-shirts, and all CC has to do is pay for it.
The kids can then get the beach getaway they were "begging" for and the fans can have their meet & greet that they've been begging for. Win-win situation all around-especially for Kate because it won't cost her a cent.
I think it might be fun to guess what's next.
First it was cruise with Kate (and make a craft with her, LOL!). Three grand! Hardly anyone signed up, it was a clusterf*ck, and then it was canceled.
Now it's run with Kate. That'll flop, too. Everything she touches (reverse Midas touch) flops.
So what's after that? It'll get less elaborate and cheaper as time goes on.

Exhausted, positive...anyone else think Kate just throws those words out there and has absolutely no idea what they mean? Seems just like she throws them out there to make herself appear relatable.
I am sure those of you who are mother's are not always exhausted just because you re with the kids. Most...don't you get less sleep for variety of reasons then get up the next day and don't complain about it you just go on about your business even if you re tiered?
As far as her being a positive person I don't think she chose to look for the good in Jon she chose to look more for what she could blame him for.
I don't know a whole lot about marriage but I do know that quite possibly it's something you have to work at regardless of your circumstances. Kate appeared to want this perfect lovey-dove Christian type marriage. Sorry but it's just possible that all relationships need work. That takes two people to commit to working at something not just throwing words out there on a wing and a hope that they'll stick and make you seem convincing.
The more you try to convince someone of something else it's more likely you are just trying to convince yourself but will never admit it. Kate can't admit she's done things to herself that are her own fault. Well, honey, the shoe can't always be on the other foot...even if you swear you're a size 5 or whatever.
A stoop is your not quite a porch or front steps where you socialize with your friends. It's not uncommon to hear "I'll meet cha on da stoop later".

I thought she stayed and talked with Elvis for 20 minutes or so. That's a long time for Kate to pretend to be interested in anything that anyone has to say. Or did he expect her to go bar-hopping with him?
Wait, wasn't the marathon over by the time the twins were supposeously at church? It started at 6:30 am (9:30 am eastern time). I beleive they go to the 10 or 11 am service or am I wrong? I also doubt they would have known Milo's twitter handle or even how to read people's tweets online unless their 'friend' knew Kate or Milo's twitter handle.
Jenny did it in 2:31, but it looks like she was running with a kid. Her husband did it in 3:31 or something and he was running with a kid too. Maybe he has sons who are old enough to run and they each ran with one.
