HunnyBunny went to bed after eating way too much pizza and working outside in the heat all week. I guess that is how some stay so thin, cant put a pound on no matter how hard he tries.
Got my Rumspringa (Ecko Domani Pinot Grigio) and the Olympics opening ceremonies on. Looks so nice, so happy for all these young people. I have a good friend who lives in London, she could hear the rehearsals from her 'garden' and see them from her roof. Her street has been blocked off for over a week, no cars allowed not even by residents. So she fled to her country home in Cardiff, Welsh-Wales (that is how she says it) where, darned if they didnt have a couple of Olympic events there already this week! LOL!

I notice she's answering the easy questions-questions she's answered before about how they all want to be on tv, and other mundane stuff. I doubt she will address DWTS or anything about a dating show. The questions she's answering are mostly from people she has never replied to before.

When I lived in Scotland, I had a Scottish friend that was a nurse in the maternity ward of the local hospital where I would be delivering my baby. I was talking to her one day and she was describing the babies as little "twats". I looked at her and told her she better not be calling any American babies, especially girls, little twats. I then told her what it meant in the States. She was horrified. Over there it was a term of endearment.

Who knows maybe they're actually bored! :) Keep in mind they're expected to go too events like this all the time and not just go but be filmed and have pics taken. Prince Harry once talked about how he admired his grandma for always going to such events and never complaining. He said he gets tired of it. In a way I don't blame him. He didn't ask for this lifestyle.Some people don't like wearing a suit and going to a bunch of events. Some people just want to stay home and order in pizza and watch it on TV with us mediocre. I know for a fact I would not want to go out as much as they are required to.
I'll forever be fascinated with the psychology of a child who grows up in a certain kind of public life without very many other options and what they have to say about it as they grow up.

Re: Prince Harry. He's let it be known he just wants to be a military man. He's not too fixated on the royalty stuff, except it does give him some pretty nice privileges. And I think we already know that Prince William is trying to be as normal as his circumstances will allow. His wife, the Duchess of Cornwall, does their grocery shopping and homekeeping while he's doing his duty with the RAF. Both William and Harry are just solid military men, serving their country. They are about as normal as Diana could have hoped.

Sorry I'm late. I was so busy picking (up) and freezing 487 lbs of blueberries. Someone with a blue tag thingie was parked in MY special (needs) parking spot, so I had (deserved) to take the fire zone again. Anyway, I filled both freezers and will need to get another one @lows or @seers or @homedepo. Here are 11 mini loaves of blueberry bread to share. The food and drink look wonderful, but I stopped at the Farmer's on the way, and gulped down 2 glasses of milk (a rare treat), so am too full to partake. I'm sorry I missed the party!! But I have a really good reason!
I was bringing DS home this evening from a friend's house in the middle of a terrible downpour. While going down the long farm-lined road that leads to our development, a small deer jumped out at us, or so I thought. It turned out to be a dog!! I stopped and the dog ran into the weeds. She then ran back out onto the road and jumped in the SUV as soon as DS opened the door. A check on that list where you check things showed that someone was looking for her, she had been gone for almost 8 hrs. She traveled 3.5 miles. My DSs pulled a bunch of ticks off her, then she inhaled a bowl of food.
It turns out she is being fostered for a breed specific rescue and she is available! She was coming home from the vet today, when she saw a bunny and slipped her collar. We had been talking about getting a friend for Madame Sleepy du Grumpette and we all agreed that a puppy was not the kind of friend we were looking for. While Madame SG was annoyed at being interrupted from her regular schedule of napping, she and this little gal got along fine. Her relieved foster parents came to get her, the wife ran out of the house in her jammies..lol.
I'm so excited, I can't sleep! I was going to sign in with my Google account and post her picture from the rescue website so you could see her, but I'm afraid that the sheeple will cause trouble, even as dim and clueless as they are. Especially that one who fancies herself a detective :(

Great synopsis of the twitter party. That's about the way it went down. She tweets "Party time! Ask away... What's on your mind?" then proceeds to selectively answer tweets that make her look good or to state HER dreams. She even totally ignored Milo, until Milo said she had to go.
*I* couldn't make it to the party last night, it was my MMEEEEE TIME.
Now that the kids have returned, I called the not-a-nanny on my 13th pink i-phone.
Since no never-means-no-to-me, the party isn't over! No one is going home until we have an egg hunt in front of the paps! (Just to make it interesting, you have to wear too-tight sundresses or three-times-too-big clothing).
I had my rent-a-cop man drive a first class RV (used a Q-pon I found in a drawer)all night. We got pulled over for speeding, but I cried so the Mr. HighwayPatrolMan gave us only a warning. After that, we decided if we turned our lights off, we couldn't get caught speeding again. IT WORKED! :)
I am now sitting in the RV in Dwindle's driveway. We turned it off after the A/C quit, and I broke three nails trying to put down those window-ish thingies. Thank Gawd the high definition tv still works. Talk about roughin' it!
Mr Cop Man is outside in the heat trying to fix Dwindle's tractor. I think he decided one of Kate's ex-nannies put gasoline or non-organic sugar in the diesel tank. After fixing the tractor, he is going to put together 4 grills. I hope Dwindle has 20 lbs of organic chicken marinating, labeled and bagged! (And who ever prepares the salad, don't chop the lettuce! Did anyone bring dressing in a spritz bottle? that's what I'm famous for! Lordie Bee!)
I have plenty of Keurig coffee and low-fat creamer, but Dwindle's kids ate all my left overs, so someone in the house needs to bring me some fish in paper. Be sure and put it on aluminum foil. First one to bring it to me gets a good bra!

Now see, Wowser, you're using thing here thing called LOGIC which is so unKateishical. Dmasy, she is actually a purebred boxer! Her story is sad, she is from a Lancaster puppy mill. She is approx. 1 1/2 yrs. and she's had 2 litters of puppies that her fosters know of. She had milk supply issues so the puppy mill folks called the rescue to take her. I guess I give them credit for that, instead of other grim alternatives.
The funny thing is, her foster parents aren't sure she was born there. She was already social and mannered and not afraid of electric appliances, TVs, vaccums, etc. like dogs who were born in the (amish) puppy mills usually are. Here's the worst part, brace yourselves :( The fosters said the puppy mill folks often cut the dog's vocal cords when they are young so they don't make a combined huge racket when people come to look at puppies. They haven't heard her bark once in the 2 weeks they've had her :(
We are going on vacation here in a few weeks so we will hold off on adopting her until after that. It works out anyway because she's being spayed soon, so she'll get to recover in familiar surroundings. I've already started the paperwork! I'll go ahead and post her picture.
Having one of those "wayward is really old" moments, we're heading out to our neighbor's daughter's wedding this afternoon. She was 7 when they moved next door, now she has two degrees and is getting married! THIS is what we've been trying to tell Kate, it goes by THAT fast. She spends all her time wishing her kid's childhoods away, moaning about the work, the exhaustion. She just doesn't get it, and I doubt she ever will.
I love that Kate latched on to the latest bumper sticker affirmation about building a door because what she's doing is waiting, waiting, wishing, rainbow-farting etc.
If she took control of her life, be it "mediocre", she would be a far more complete and happy person.
Money and fame are not going to make anyone happy. Ask anyone who's won the lottery.

I think Kate and Jamie put out the dating show rumor to help deflect attention from DWTS snubbing her. I don't think she expected the negative backlash that followed. I really believe she thinks people still like her, except for a handful of jealous haters, and there would be some positive interest. Instead, there has been nothing but negative comments, mockery, and overall contempt. She loves being the center of attention, but she may not realize that the networks (the ones that have NOT picked her show up) are going to be interested in what people have to say about the idea. If hoards of people are saying they can't stand her and won't watch her, then the networks won't want to throw money into a project that is doomed to failure. Add to that the fact that her last show did not get good ratings, her last book sold miserably, her cruise flopped, and she wasn't asked to return to DWTS. Shows that she's not marketable at all, so why bother?
I think that some network believed that people would watch Bristol because they don't like her. Surprise! Didn't work, and they are wishing they hadn't taken the chance on her. I don't think anyone is willing to repeat that mistake with Kate, who is much more disliked than Bristol. Kate still spewed the "controversy and ratings" line as a reason why she should be considered for DWTS. She still thinks that sells. Recent developments show that it doesn't.
"Maybe....maybe not...maybe" is Kate-speak for "It's just an idea and no network has shown any interest".
In April a tweeter asked if she was returning to TV and she said, " Not yet....but....not quite yet". Same store, different day.

Last night, the very minute I first said good night to y'all, my Rott tried climbing in my lap. What the heck, Big Guy? I hadnt even closed the lap top yet. And within seconds he was in another full blown seizure. This one was worse, but shorter in duration. So it was a bit of a rough night and I am still sad this morning, but you guys perk me up! Hehe. Emailed our vet with some details and waiting to see if she has anything to advise. This morning he is needy but just fine.
Anyway, busy fun and happy unicorn bubble farts day planned here! HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!!!! Think I will (seriously) make a loaf of bread, thaw some steaks for dinner, make home fries using a couple of tablespoons of bacon drippings (dont be too jellus), scrub the dog dishes, touch up my roots, harvest some basil, FUN FUN FUN!!! So many fun things planned for a day of happy happy happy fun fun fun so fun I can hardly stand myself!!!!!

I'm jellus of your basil! DH and I took our Beardie (neardiebeardie) to the farmers market this morning and we bought some basil, Thai basil, Lemon balm and mint. Also got corn, tomaters and a grass-fed brisket.
I've put the ORGANIC!!!! brisket in the crockpot with all of those herbs, some chicken stock, fresh ginger, lime juice and a Chinese BBQ sauce called Chee Hou. Going to serve that over Jasmine rice (oh...that's ORGANIC!!!! too) with stir fry peppers and onion.

May I interrupt the clean up for a second to brag about my daughter? She is a runner and will be running the RnR half marathon in Providence, RI in August(Thank God, Kate's not running.)
She just found out that she has been accepted to run the NYC marathon in Nov. She hasn't qualified time-wise, but will be running with a charity group. She does have to raise a minimum amount, or she will have to pay the difference. I, for one, don't see any problem with her raising that amount, because she has lots of friends and family to support her.
Will Kate ever run the NYC marathon? I doubt it. First, she doesn't have an eligible time. Second, would Kate really run for a charity for which she would actually have to put some effort into promoting and raising money that is not for her benefit? Would she pay the amount necessary in order to run? Depending on the charity, it can be anywhere from $3000-$6000. Unless, she can find a sponsor(I giggled typing that), she won't be running this year or any year.
Kate build all the doors you want, nobody's going to come knocking.

When I lived in Scotland, I had a Scottish friend that was a nurse in the maternity ward of the local hospital where I would be delivering my baby. I was talking to her one day and she was describing the babies as little "twats". I looked at her and told her she better not be calling any American babies, especially girls, little twats. I then told her what it meant in the States. She was horrified. Over there it was a term of endearment.

I'm wondering if Kate could even land a nursing job if she tried. Don't nurses have to have ongoing professional development? She has not worked in her field for many years. I think I read somewhere that she renewed her nursing license recently, but I don't understand how she could still be considered "qualified". I know there are many nurses on this board. I was reading an article on the msnbc website about Bristol Palin on DWTS and it had this:

Layla, 'relevenceishness' LOVE that word! And I agree that Kate and Jamie timed the announcement of her begging for a dating show to coincide with the DWTS thing. And I think you really hit the nail on the head with your post - mockery is the perfect word. Overall, across the board mockery. And it isnt good natured in the least, it is vicious. All these years we have wondered why no one calls her out on her attitude and actions; well, they are now! The one article that said you can avoid dating Kate by walking on your knees and blending in with her kids coz she hardly ever looks down there - I mean that is some strong words there. All of the comments by the media types are not just making light comedy of Kate's weaknesses, they are hitting her hard and clearly stating she is a fame wh0re with little visible redeeming qualities.

I'm sure someone can weigh in on nursing, but I can not imagine that all you need to do to maintain your ability to practice is pay some dues every couple years.
It takes a hell of a lot of time and money to do con ed, btw.

The other night I surfed and stopped for 10 minutes to watch a program called Strange Sex. Some man had a scrotum the size of Kate's pregnant-with-sextuplets belly. Now I'm no prude but for the love of all that is holy where is TLC coming from? And where do they find people willing to be filmed? I think Bill Hayes and Eileen O'Neill are very sick people.

I can speak for Ohio. I am a Social Worker, and I must have 30 CEUs in a 24 month period that have been specifically approved by my board.
Nurses in Ohio need 24 I think, but their's can be ANY CEU approved by ANY licensing board (SW,Counselor, speech and language, dietitians, expressive therapies, doctors, physical or occupational therapy, etc). If a nurse doesnt have all that in time, there is a home study booklet to read and take a multiple choice test that will suffice for the total amount of required CEUs. Also, if I attend a CEU event, I get credit for the time in lecture only. Lunch and breaks are deducted. So I might be there for 8 hours but only get 6 hours of CEU. Nurses in Ohio get the full 8.
I must have 3 hours approved for SW Ethics, and I 'think' nurses must have a few hours approved specifically for the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, which is similar to 'nurse ethics' i think.

I agree! I am not in the Healthcare field but am a Professional full time employee. Even if Kate took continuing education to keep her nursing license active she has NOT worked in nursing for years! She is not ready to just walk back into a nursing career. I can only imagine all the changes that have taken place since she last worked in a hospital. Who would want to train her on the new computer systems and new medical technologies that have been implemented since she last worked? She would flap her hands, whine to Steve for help, and tell her supervisor how she is soo not a computer person and ask "Mr. Orderly Boy" to do her work for her.
As much as I would like to see Kate get a REAL job, I would hate to be a co-worker or patient of any Healthcare company that hires Kate.

Great point about continuing to practice. Con ed only goes so far, you must maintain X amount of clinical practice hours to maintain your license.
After 18 years of practice, I left my field for several years, but realize that I really need to get back to it, even if just part time. Truly, I am BLESSED to have my body of education, experience and knowledge. At this point, ugh! I have to get X amount of con ed hours under my belt and do a 2 or 3 month internship (gulp!) to get back in the game.
It will be hard, but I'm setting it as a goal that in one year, I will be license ready, or almost there.

And that is the BIG difference between you and Kate. You are willing to work hard and do all you can in order to perform at your best in your career and to be an asset to your employer and patients.
From reading all of your posts these past months, I have a feeling that you are a concientious and hard worker. I am sure you will be a success in meeting your goal and re-entering the nursing profession. I wish you luck but it doesn't sound like you need it since you are putting in the time and effort!
