Kate on local radio show Jackie and Scott

Listen to the full interview here. Kate dishes about the Chicago marathon and other upcoming running events, how eight kids are not allowed to each have their own schedule and have to stay shut away in their rooms in the morning with a video, how she's tapping out some books on her iPhone, and finally this guy .....

... her police escort to the station this morning! Currently on the Y102 roof with a sniper rifle.

The ad shows 6 members of the family jiggling their bare (generous) bellies. I guess in support of little Honey.
It is embarrassing. I don't know how to say this without being cruel, but there is some genetic misfire going on in that household.
TLC seems to have given up any pretense of being a "learning" channel.
----------------------------------

It really is sad how many people are out there willing to humiliate and embarrass themselves, all for the chance to be on television. I cannot imagine either of my parents agreeing to or allowing any such behavior to be filmed for national television. What has happened to having some dignity? A touch of class? A general sense of pride in oneself?

I haven't seen the commercials since TLC has been banned from my household for at least 2 years now. Sounds like I'm not missing anything!

So sorry for your loss. May your family member rest in peace. I lost my husband in 2005 and then lost my youngest son in 2007. He was 33 . He broke both legs in a fall and was in icu for 10 days and then we lost him. I still cry for him everyday. He left a darling little boy behind and I thank God for him everyday*******

Mary Ann, I'm so sorry. There's not a day that goes by here when I'm not touched by at least one of you. I wish you strength and joy.
I wonder if you've read "To Heaven and Back"? by Mary C. Neal, MD. She was on the Today Show this morning, talking about her near-death experience when she was kayaking and almost drowned... for at least 15 minutes.
Her story gave me chills and for an analytical surgeon to describe Angels, Jesus and a great sense of belonging, it tells me that she really went through all of the scientific explanations before coming to the conclusion that she truly did experience Heaven.
She said that the Angels told her that her time was not up and that she needed to go back because her family needed her and that her little son would die. He did, at age 19.
Anyway, it gave me comfort that she was positive that she'll see her son and all loved ones one day.

Sweet Tart -- that was my comment about the genetic misfire. Sounds harsh. I feel bad for thinking it, but ....

The promo also shows some kind of jumping in a mud hole competition. While the majority of the family willing agrees that they are rednecks, one daughter denies that label because they each have all their teeth. Honey Boo Boo is her same confident self.

Kate took wire-cutters to her child's braces??

What??

I took her tweet to mean a wire from the braces got stuck in carpet and she needed wire cutter to get wire out of carpet.

Ohhh!! You're probably right although even that is weird! I just was remembering when my dd got hers stuck to her sweatshirt as she was changing and had to be cut free- the cloth, not the braces ! But knowing Kate... lol. But I'll 'cut' her some slack on this, ok. Thanks Tweet.

KK's skin may have a green tinge to it. Given her "diet", she may be anemic, and anemia can cause the skin to take on a greenish tinge. In the old days, it used to be called "the green sickness".
-------------------------------------------------
I saw a show about someone with a green tinge to them - well maybe a bit more than a tinge. Turns out he had a heart that was two sizes too small. That might explain this phenomena.

AuntieAnn said...

My kids didn't have braces so I'm not familiar with all that can go wrong, but her tweet is still weird. If a wire from the bracket ended up in the carpet I'd think a pair of pliers might be used to pull it out. That is IF you could even see it. But how that rates as something to complain about is what really blows me away...removing a piece of wire from the carpet????

All her tweets just confirm, for me, that she did nothing while the show was being filmed for all those years. She gets flustered over every small thing. Of all the people on the planet who should NOT have had a bunch of kids, it's Kate.

But I also believe women should not breast feed their kids in public, GROSS, but I guess I'm just old school!!
====
I guess it's how it's done in public that helps form an opinion. Some moms breastfeed so discreetly you wouldn't know it, and others bare it all. Either way, it doesn't bother me to see it. But b/f a five-year-old in public? eewww.
I walked past a mom in a restaurant once who was sitting there soaking her dinner napkin in a glass of beer and then putting it in her baby's mouth to suck. That bothered me a lot and I said so. She told me to mmob.

I know- if it could be seen you'd think you could even just pick it up..that's different than the braces ON the child being stuck to the carpet, lol, but that's possible with braces !

My dd had a chain attached to one bracket for a tooth that wouldn't grow it (stuck in the roof of her mouth) She had to 'get her chain yanked' every 4 weeks and retied, painful.

Either way Kate's child needs to get the broken bits repaired- you can get your gums cut up pretty badly with broken braces and also your lips.

Why do her stories never make any sense?!?
I don't understand her braces story at all. I had braces, I had brackets fall off. I think it's pretty rare. In a year of having braces, I lost brackets once. When they were being put on. The first set of brackets had a deformity and would not hold the wire so they popped right off. I had to come back to get a different set.
Even if you lose one bracket, you still have all the other brackets that would still be holding the wire in. I could see loosing a bracket, but I don't get how you would also lose the wire in order for it to get stuck in the carpet! Even if all the brakets popped off, the wire would still be in the end anchors and those are cemented on!
Well, I sure hope that Kate is going to be tweeting away at the dentist office today! Good heavens!

Oh, and I really hope that she pulls that stick out and puts it to use at the sliding door. Duh, then the dog wouldn't be able to get out.

I believe he was seeing God and his own Dad waiting for him. I had to leave the room when they took him off I just could not bear to watch my son take his last breath and that haunts me still today. No. Color correction in photoshop type software
is nothing more than a filter that filters out one color using another color. The color corrected photo of Kate has had the green filtered out using a red filter. That is why the other girl with more normal looking skin tone looks "bronze" now. Using color correction in this way is merely a band aid to fix a photo with a problem.

If a professional photographer had taken that shot he would have probably NOT shot it under those particular lights (whatever they may be). Believe me, it's about photography, not that Kate has green skin.

I do think there is a big difference between a baby breastfeeding and a couple having sex (even if the breast was exposed) - a VERY BIG difference in my opinion.
I think woman should be encouraged by society TO breastfeed and not be made ashamed of it, even if there is some occasional boobage. Very easy to look away and/or explain to children.

Hi Tomatoes & Viewer,

So many different views here :) My son nursed until 6.5 years. The older years were not intense like the younger ones. I know people really find that odd at best, but so many other cultures do it without batting an eye. One thing I did do, though, is nurse in private after a certain age. It felt respectful to him and the to the culture we live in. He did nurse some or after his many medical procedures, and I was thankful to be able to give him something to help him through nutritionally and emotionally. I wish the mother who did the magazine cover with her 7 yr old hadn't done that - IMO it really violated his privacy and set him up for a lot of ridicule.
Anyway, this blog always has such interesting side discussions!

Yes, it was Thalidomide, used in the late 50s, early 60s. Billy Joel referenced "children Of Thalidomide" in his song, "We Didn't Start The Fire." Even a single dose can cause birth defects or death to the baby.

Right, as mentioned it was Thalidomide. Horrible defects.
Kate is doling out information without knowing or even seeing this person and it is way, way outside of her scope. She is risking losing her license. Is her ego really that in need of bolstering?

@MiloandJack @msgoody2shoes21 flips lock up, uses nose to slide door open... It's an amazing site! Or is that sight? I know it's the latter!

So she actually sees him do this, and does nothing about it? Did it ever occur to her to get a different type of lock or have the lock replaced at a level where he can't reach it?

Also, does she even think that if he opens the door and gets out, that someone else can get in once the door is unlocked?

Didn't Kate once say that Shoka was "fully" trained when he returned. What happened to that training?

Shoka apparently isn't the one who needs training-Kate needs to be trained in how to be a dog owner.

The thing about rednecks (at least how it comes across to me) is that they just don't care. They don't care if someone thinks they look trashy, or act obnoxiously. There's no sense of social graces, and that's just how they're brought up. The principal at my daughter's school has been told to f-off by more than one redneck parent just for trying to maintain some order to the flow of traffic. And yes, this parent said it right in front of their child. I was horrified! When adults can't set the standard for civilized behavior, what hope do the kids have?

------------------------------------------------
Katie read your post and came up with a story about the lock not providing a solution.

My dog could operate an unlocked sliding door too. My kids seemed incapable of locking the door so I can understand the issue. However I don't believe the dog can operate the lock.

Even if the dog can unlock the door, it comes with a vertical locking pin which is attached to the door and fits into a slot in the door frame. If the door is not aligned to the pin, the solution is to place a 1x2 piece of wood horizontally to prevent the door from sliding.

What you need to do, Katie is slip on the hooker heels and hoof on down to the home center with a measurement for the size of the opening and ask Mr. Lumber Cutter guy to cut the piece. Keep in mind that you will need to pay for the entire piece of wood - including the length you do not need (require in your language).

If you don't know where the home center store is either ask the police for an escort or go down to the tractor store and ask Mr. Tractor Wheel guy for directions.

Just read the tweet about the dog being able to unlock the slider and open the door with his nose. Okay Kate, there is a real simple, cheap solution. After you close and lock the slider, put a thin piece of board or even an old broom handle in the track. That way even if Shoka unlocks the slider, he won't be able to slide the door open. My experience re: nausea medication for morning sickness. My husband and I were living in Scotland when I got pregnant with my oldest daughter. I weighed 120lbs. when I find out I was pregnant. I endured horrible morning sickness for a month. I vomitted 24/7. I coulnd't keep down tea, saltines, ginger ale or even water. My poor husband didn't know what to do. I didn't want to take any medication (I don't even like taking a Tylenol for a headache) but after losing 10lbs. the doctor said either I take the morning sickness medication or he would admit me to the hospital and hook me up to an IV. I opted for the medication. When I was about three months along and felt much better, I came home for a two month visit. I visited an obstetricion(sp?) here and gave him my records. I can't for the life of me remember what my doctor in Scotland had me take. Anyway the doctor here proceeded to scare the sh?t out of me by telling me the medication I took was banned in the States. I went back to Scotland at five months pregnant and talked to my doctor there about what my doctor in the States said. My doctor assured me that the medication was fine. Sure enough my daughter arrived healthy and strong. However, my attempt at breastfeeding was another matter as my milk never came in. After 2 1/2 weeks of her screaming because she wasn't getting anything and supplementing her with formula, I was advised by the mid-wife and my doctor to put her on formula full time. She then became a happy, little tubba wubba. I felt guilty as hell but she was healthy so I got over it. I do have to say though that the nice thing about delivering a baby in Britain, is that a mid-wife comes to your house every day for two weeks after you bring your baby home. If you have any questions or issues, the mid-wife being there is wonderful.

Tess, if your son had been ill a lot of course there are exceptions IMO- I'm sure you would not pose for that cover but as you said, you give you and your child privacy. I have to respond to this:
In the U.S. we have a capitalistic healthcare system, companies make ridiculous profits off our sickness and the gov't approves of this. It is EXTREMELY difficult to get a drug pulled from the market. It is ALSO extremely difficult to get a COMPETING drug on the market.

In other countries that have socialized healthcare, the gov't is answerable to the people, not the drug companies. They are MORE likely to pull drugs from the market, require fewer vaccines and have a better track record of wellness then the U.S. does. Because healthcare matters, not drug sales.

I would trust the doc in Scotland re medication before I would trust a U.S. doc re medication.

P.S. Vaccines are a goldmine for big pharma. When a new one becomes available, ask yourself: IS THIS DRUG NECESSARY? or is it simply a moneymaker. My own gyn (whom I love) has said flat out gardisil is a waste in the U.S. He added that it should be given to women in third world countries as they do not have access to any healthcare, and it would help them. But to women in the U.S.? It's a joke. And now they are marketing it to little boys. Sickening.

An excerpt:

Former “Jon & Kate Plus 8” star Kate Gosselin ran the Rock 'N' Roll San Diego Half Marathon in June but said she will change things up a bit in Chicago and run the 3-mile version of Sunday's race — aka the Mini Marathon.

“I'm not one of those (lifelong) runners,” Gosselin, 37, said over the phone Monday. “I started running outside two years ago. It's an inexpensive workout I could do wherever and whenever. … Also, I get very little alone time, so it's my way to be by myself.”

Very little alone time? I can't even put into words how I feel about that statement.

Here's my concern, though. Kids are often teased at school for whatever reason, but I would think that anything would pale in comparison to a second grader who is still being nursed. Kids do find out, and wouldn't the humiliation far exceed any benefits the child could get from breastfeeding?

A few things: With regard to drugs during pregnancy, you really have to weigh the pros and cons. Remember DES? That was given to prevent miscarriage back in the 50s-60's. But the daughters ( and now sons) are found to have suffered the consequences and have reproductive system issues. My sister was a DES daughter and just had a hysterectomy related to it. Fertility problems, cancer risk, deformities all sorts of issues.

Tomatoes and Tess: I agree, I think the discussions here are so interesting the different POVs and anecdotes. I have learned a lot here, from uses of vinegar, to authors, gardening, health, cooking tips, community support above all. Plus love the Kate snark and witty repartee.

Tess, I hope your son is doing well now.It's totally your business. But if people do nurse in public, it's easy to do discreetly. If your child is older, probably being alone is best for all.

I think it's a good thing to encourage nursing- I found in moving here from Canada, there do seem to be fewer moms nursing for very long. As it's convenient and cheaper, I wonder why! The nutritional value, immunity protection, bonding etc. Is it that moms are not taught correctly and are booted out of hospital before they get the hang of it- it's not easy sometimes to get it going well. Is it because people don't like to think of breasts as nutrition vehicles, but just as sexual 'organs?' Maybe a combo.

Tomatoes: I do see your point, and agree it should be done without offending anyone for whatever reason. I mean, as a society we are not used to 'regular' women revealing their breasts in public. That's why I was always covered even if it's obvious what you are doing for your child.

Respect of POV on this board almost always gets an A+

Admin, it was Thalidomide. AKA other names, of course. I am quite a bit older than you but I briefly dated a man with no arms due to thalidomide given his mother during pregnancy.

There was also a common antibiotic during the early 60s that was given, that caused yellow or grey teeth in the upcoming child. I am not sure my 48 year old brother has YET 'forgiven' our mother for that one. Ha!

++++++++++++++++++

I was thinking about that, too. What if you have a 9 to 5 job and your child is in pre-school? Do you go to the school over your lunch hour to breast feed? Do you skip meetings because you have to go to daycare to nurse a five-year-old every four hours?

Isn't there also a school of thought that mothers who nurse older children many times do it NOT to benefit the child, but rather they themselves need the comfort and closeness, unwilling to acknowledge that the child is no longer their baby?
Just asking...!

My breast feeding opinion is not towards women covering up. Of course you can breast feed(covered) the baby has to eat! I'm talking about taking out your big boob out at a resturant and feeding! I have seen it and it's not pretty!
Let me give you an analogy , what if a gorgeous couple sitting at a table next to you at a resturant , rip off their clothes and have sex! Some might say sex is a beautiful thing! Yea! At your own home! Pleeeeese, I don't want to see that , that's a personal thing that should stay private
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yes, it is a personal thing, but the bottom line is that a baby needs to eat. Would you want to eat your lunch in a public bathroom? I nursed both my kids, descretely, but in public. Never once did anyone say anything. My kids are 2 years apart, and when I had the rare chance to go out to the mall with little kids, my mind was scrambled with everything I needed to take with me in the diaper bag, and I don't want to have to bother with warming up a bottle.
The recent Time magazine article, IMO, was in bad taste - that child will be teased over that for years to come. Not the best idea for the mom or the magazine.
My kids are long past the days of nursing (9 and 11). It still amazes me how many people give dirty looks to nursing moms. On a recent trip to a local shopping mall there was a mom doing everyting she could to be descrete while nursing her baby while she was at a table at the far end of the food court. Just 5 stores away was a Victoria's Secret. Keep in mind, this store is located near the center of the mall, right where they have Santa and the Easter Bunny. I guess its okay to show boobies when men can gawk and drool over them, but when they are used for their primary, functional purpose - nursing a baby - that's too taboo.
Wonder if Kate breastfed the twins? Some twin moms alternate bottle/breast each feeding or do tandem nursing ( one on each side) I somehow Kate picture Kate being comfortable & cuddly with babies. she did pump for the tups though acc to 'her' book.
There is a fine line in our society about the 'role' of breasts! They are designed for nursing, but also for intimacy. It's hard to reconcile your roles as a woman sometimes but it all works out in the end!
I think older kids are nursed less often and for comfort? I'm sure they drink out of cups as well. Shouldn't interfere with a job or other activities. Places of work should allow 'pumping' breaks though & a decent place to do it. I nurtured one child to 9 mos - he got disinterested- abut the other for almost 2 years- I got a lot of flack for that so I can only imagine what moms of older kids go through.
________________________________
My pediatrician said it's not necessary to warm a bottle. In fact, formula (or breast milk in a bottle) should be given at room temp. Our malls here have separate rooms with sofas where a mother can nurse discretely and the baby won't be eating lunch in close proximity to stalls. There are so many contradictions out there by professionals that the advice can be overwhelming. It doesn't bother me in the least to see a mother nursing a baby as long as she doesn't expose anything. It would bother me, however, to see a five-year-old either in her lap or standing next to her having a drink.
Speaking of bathrooms, if you are shopping at the mall or at movies with your son, at what age do you allow him to go to the men's room by himself? I've always taken my son with me into the ladies' room and never once has anyone in there given me any grief. One older lady, bless her heart, patted me on the shoulder and said, "Don't worry about it. We understand. We were all mothers once and in this day and age you can't be too careful."
Regarding breastfeeding, I breatfed my daughter, but only for a few months. The doctor said my milk was too thin and that's why she was always hungry. Therefore I had to switch to formula when she was around 2 months old.
However, my feeling it about the same as bottle feeding. In my opinion, I wouldn't want my 4 year old to still be using a bottle so I wouldn't agree with them breastfeeding either. Once again, my opinion is toddlers should be drinking from a cup (sippy or others) by the time they are 2.
As my daughter (and grandsons) got older, they only got a bottle at night. By the time they were 2, they were sleeping without the bottle because we started putting water in the bottle, instead of milk.
Anyway, all kids are different, but this what worked for us. However I would never even consider breastfeeding a toddler, they should be past that stage by then.
Re: letting boys go into public bathrooms alone. I remember that dilemma!!! It was awful. Both of my boys got to an age where going in the ladies' room with mom was too weird. Maybe around age six? I tried to avoid a situation where they would have to use a public restroom - either my husband went with us, or we took a short trip. But, it did come up from time to time. I would stand RIGHT outside the men's room and wait. I told my boys that if anyone even looked at them to yell and I'd run in! LOL There were a few times when I hollered in there "Are you doing ok?" Now they're 14 and 19 and I'm worrying about different things! :)
Re: breast feeding older kids . . . I don't mean any offense, but it seems very strange to me. I nursed my boys until around age 1. My daughter was adopted, and she was never breast fed. She's been the healthiest one - go figure! I can't help thinking that the mom is getting something out of it. I agree with whoever said if it must be done for nutritional reasons, put it in a cup. Same nutrition without as much weirdness. I know in some countries it is necessary for mothers to nurse much longer. I would never do it because 1)it goes against what's considered "normal" for the vast majority of people in our society. When you choose to go against the norms, you're going to get questioned/made fun of/ridiculed. If it's worth it to you, go for it. But it would never be worth it to me to subject my kids to that. And 2)I would have to see evidence that it is nutritionally far superior to what a weaned child gets. Most kids aren't nursing at age 5, and most of them are doing just fine. Which takes me back to my question about the purpose and what the mom is getting out of it.
LoveMyGrandsons said...
Also, I do believe in discretion when breastfeeding. I remember being around 10 or 11 and at the beach one year. I went into the ladies room and a woman was just sitting there topless with her child breastfeeding. As a kid, I didn't understand it and I remember being embarassed by it. I don't know why, but I just was. Therefore, I was always discreet when breastfeeding my daughter.
Mrs. Malaprop, I understand what you are saying about letting your boys go into the bathroom alone. If it's at a store with only a one room bathroom, like my local Jewel, my grandson can go in there alone and I'm right outside the door. However, if it's at a store with multiple stalls, they're still young enough where I can take them into the ladies room.
However, once they get to 6 or 7, I think I'm going to make sure Papa comes shopping with us so they are not in the bathroom alone!
Assuming the picture was taken today (!), she may be sending a subliminal message about being home tonight, instead of winging her way toward Chicago for her 3-mile run on Sunday. A new thing, given that she usually takes flight several days before a scheduled event.
And as for the 13 burgers, I don't know what to say about that. Maybe an afterthought, added for effect after she decided to post a picture? Nine are almost cooked, but the "extra" 4 are still raw.
Re: public bathrooms and our sons.
I let my 6 yr old son go in the men's room at McD with his little friend, stationing myself at the outside door. Well, the friend came out & told me my son 'needed help' and was sick. (I won't go into details.) I asked a man exiting if any men were inside, explaining the situation, and he said yes, but he would let me know when the coast was clear and I could go in to help my son and he would guard the door ! How thoughtful- kindness of strangers. My poor son was indeed in need of help. But let me tell you, there is a HUGE difference between men's and ladies' rooms in terms of cleanliness at McDonald's any way!
I've never been offended by the phrase and it's been used for so long that I think it's evolved to have a meaning that doesn't even connect to Jonestown anymore. I think the phrase alludes to sheep, blindly following a person or entity without any critical higher thinking, and being impervious to reason.
I think plenty of people my age (40) and older, and even plenty of the younger folk, like my kid who is in her teens and she knows, know where the phrase came from. I think it keeps the Jamestown incident relevent, so it doesn't get forgotten. I actually knew about Jamestown before I heard people using that phrase in the vernacular. It's part of our history and that phrase made it into our vernacular is pretty interesting indicative of just how much that incident did impress itself on our collective psyche- but that's the nerd in me! I'm not one who insists on "polically correct" phraseology, and I promise not to harp on this. I do, however, believe we shouldn't allow certain phrases (and the events they represent) to be co-opted by popular culture. It blunts their impact -- personal and historic --in ways it probably shouldn't. And the fact that it does offend some, if not all? Seems to me sufficient reason to avoid them, if/when other options are available. My thoughts, for whatever they're worth. @@@@@@
LOL! I see your point...through the lens of pop culture, anyway. :)
I beg your forgiveness in advance for this VERY rough analogy, but I think that helps illustrate the larger point.
Lots of people laughed at Seinfeld's Soup Nazi, and soon after, "Nazi This" and "Nazi That" turned into mainstream humor, and then got co-opted by pundits & pop culture. I hear it all the time, and still wonder how it came to be that a despised trait became shorthand for something(s) else.
Lots of people were/are horrified to see that progression. It cuts too close to the bone. They aren't humorless, I don't think. They just don't like that it blurs the edges of an horrific event in world history that, to their way of thinking, should always remain a sharp image in the collective consciousness.
Again, my apologies for the imperfect analogy. And gratitude for your indulgence. I'll quit now, having said (more than) my piece. :)
Well it's sort of like all the Hitler videos going around. I think there are still some people offended but most people seem to think they're hysterical.
One of the cardinal rules for comedy is "Know your audience". You would not play a funny Hitler video at a meeting of B'rith Shalom or a
laugh and who will get up and walk out.
If your pup is a herding dog, the biting of toes and feet or pulling on pant legs stuff usually stops when the dog reaches a certain level of development. As a herding dog myself, I know this!
Seriously, I have border collies and aussies and so much of training is age related and in the case of these 2 breeds at least, directly related to inborn behaviors. They can be a pain in the rear to the older dog for years. The last pup I got was 3 and a half years ago, and the dogs who are now 13 and 16 have never corrected the pup for this. It would be so much better if they did, but they don't. The pup is an Aussie, born without tails, and so he is fascinated with tails. He chewed on the border collies' tails for the longest time. Finally they outgrow the worst behavior. Good luck, older dog!
Re: Let's Throw Tomatoes puppy.
If your pup is a herding dog, the biting of toes and feet or pulling on pant legs stuff usually stops when the dog reaches a certain level of development. As a herding dog myself, I know this!
My Beardie loves to herd toddlers. He walks behind them with his nose stuck to their diapers! It's also like they just fascinate him-- little people, oooh!
I wasn't breast fed, and my immune system worked normally as a kid. My SIL chose not to breast feed her two boys. She wrapped those puppies after delivery and shrunk them back to the mosquito bites that they are!
It's a personal choice and a beautiful thing, but needs to be discrete in public. At least in our culture.
Oh how awful to hear about this shooting. OH and I have tickets for the 8pm tonight, I'm with Tucker I don't know how we can watch it without thinking about this.
My heart goes out to the families of the victums of this tragic event. What is suppose to be a family fun event turns tragic. My heart also goes out to the shooters family, cause, this truobled young man, did not get help or everyone ignored the warning signs and did nothing, his family will have to live with that for the rest of their lives, the guilt. Reports say that his mother said: you got the right person(mom does not live in Colorado). Makes you wonder what goes through a young persons mind to get that angry to want to shoot others. This is not something any of us want to hear about or hopefully never experience. There are almost no words, for something like this.
As for kate Gosselin, compared to this: Kate your a big nothing, unimportant, insignificant, has been nobody. I would not be surprised if and when Kate says anything about this tragedy, that some how she makes it about herself. To me then Kate is an unfeeling low-life.
