Wasn't Jon living in the apt for a while and didn't like it- I would understand that, seeing Her Highness over in the main mansion. I agree it would make sense but he would have no privacy for his gf, friends etc and Kate would lord it over him and make him do many jobs around the property. He never benefited from the purchase of that house at all. I don't really think they are getting along better, maybe civil and agree not to diss one another, but that living arrangement would make the past come back and rear its ugly head. If Steve or nannies don't use the apt. it would make sense to rent it anyhow.

I looked at the ROL pics- Kate didn't look as good on these. Her head is so big ( literally!). Her face looks odd, and her limbs don't 'match' her withered frame. I honestly think she looked better before finding the 'good bra' She is way out of proportion.
Well, I am without a car due to my being side-swept a couple of days ago.. Had to cancel many things ( DH has his car at work) and appts. Why wasn't I smart enough to have an extra car on hand like J Kate suggests to save money?? Can't get a loaner yet as we have a 2-car driveway- illegal to park on out street. I'm sure not saving these days, with my electrical problems, gas leak and the deductible on my insurance. I am going to ask the co. of the truck driver to pay it if ( and it better be- settled in my favor! Grr.

Thanks, Dwindle. Yes, my DD and I are ok, just annoyed at the time, cost and lying of the other driver. Have to wait till Monday for the appraisal, then get an autobody appt and ...wait. My car was brand-new in April & I take good care of it- now scratched and dented from back bumper to front, mirror dangling, parts missing, b/c someone used his co truck too aggressively and driving over speed limit to gain 10 seconds. Said I was behind him- no, saw him in the driver's mirror & he side-swiped me in a one lane street. I have a witness willing to give the facts...well, at least we are ok, but we are very dependent on our vehicles, aren't we? So much money I have been paying out lately!

I forgot all about this little fashion show thing till I logged in here this morning. I assumed earlier in the week that it would be a tiny makeshift venue and Queenie didnt get that.
I looked at a pic of her in the white dress, other than it clashed with her neon hair, it was nice of course. Couldnt fit both of her boobs at the same time, but then again what could.

I don't like Kate. I think her motivation for doing this was to simply garner publicity for herself. However, her participation has made people aware of this charity. Hopefully, that awareness will motivate some to donate to the cause.
It is physically impossible for Kate to have a natural smile due to the botox injections around the mouth to fill in the cheek flaps. She also has botox on her forehead to erase the eleven. Kates entire face is practically frozen and you see her struggling just to come up with a clenched teeth fake grin.
I think I said this before but I love a charity that instead of providing a short term solution like one hand out or meal, they help provide long term solutions like making it possible for people to get a job. Absolutely. Keep a journal. Everything you can think of about the accident. Get a copy of the police report. Keep track of everything, including receipts if you have to purchase pain relievers. Injuries don't always show up right away. I was rear-ended by a hit and run drunk driver and had serious injuries that didn't show up immediately. See a personal-injury attorney, cases done on a contingency basis so it's at no cost to you.

I had no out-of-pocket expenses on vehicle repair. When the driver was located, his insurance paid everything, including the deductible. Good luck!
Just like in the movie My Blue Heaven...the shoes with the white gown "were tragic".... This dress also puts to rest the question if she did or did not have a boob job. The round silicone implant is obvious! Also, Kate's Botox injections have taken care of the 11's in her forehead as she no longer has them and the Mr. Ed smile is a model's trick...they tell the models to smile and put your tongue against the back of your teeth. Kate does that in every picture. It's sad really. Marchesa is a favorite designer among "real" celebrities. The gown was not from an older line. Models don't wear post-season dresses. That would defeat the purpose of the fashion show, which is to sell current fashions. Marchesa's new spring line is really wonderful. Miley Cyrus wore a strapless white Marchesa gown at the 2009 Golden Globes awards. It was really very pretty.

1. CC isn't even relevant in it's own right. It hired Kate hoping it would become relevant. That hasn't happened.
2. She's not been on a nationally televised talk or radio show in quite some time.
3. She's hinted at 'dreams in the mail,' talk shows, dating shows, cooking shows, health shows, cook books for an entire year. None of which have ever come to fruition.
4. She's hinted to Disney about her kid's talent. They didn't bite.
5. Her fans have tweeted, twatted and retweet-twatted TLC about an update show. TLC is not responding.
6. She's tried the compassionate giver routine as far back as J&K+8. Didn't work then, not working now.
7. She has a few fans, a lot of 'haters,' and billions of people who have no idea who she is.
At this point, only two things are keeping her relevant.
1. Jon talking to the media.
2. Twitter.
If it weren't for those two things, she wouldn't even get mentioned in the rag mags. Look at the last 6 months of mentions! They all revolve around Jon or something said on her Twitter!
Does Kate even know what the word "Passion" means? It's about actions and we are not seeing it, not in anything. She just puts words out there that she thinks her fans want to hear. Sad, really.

Middle School students are learning about the treatment of women in Iran, which is why that was brought up. She probably wanted to show that the twins are at the top of their class and are familiar with (and concerned about) international events.

Do you really think we are talking about the same thing as last year? We have seen the children put in an entire school year without being filmed, no pap pictures (only their mother takes pictures and puts them on Twitter and Internet) No pap alerts. Those kids are now free to enjoy their Dad, their parents aren't fighting in the media (not much anyway) but what is happening is Kate is still trying to get back on the TV. Last year Kate was still on TV, talking down to everyone. Now we hear from this Aussie Warburton (maybe Steve got her this gig, he has disappeared, hasn't he?) saying "how sweet Kate is and how she keeps apologizing for the haters" ...tell me something who has to go online to apologize for your behavior or for all the people who profess dislike and even hatred for you?
Kate does not have to go to NY to help the Bottomless Closet (which has speakers and people who help write resumes, help with speaking during an interview, teaching reading, you can read all about this wonderful organization.
Beside these gowns are old models from the Designers, sent back. You MUST bring your own shoes/underwear/makeup and that is why our Gladiator had those horrendous shoes on instead of a nice pump.She has no class, never did, never will. Someone has to dress her. Sorry the shoe fairy wasn't there for her.
What we have in PA is the Batterred & Abused Shelters and they have Auctions/Modeling/Consignment Shops and they will accept money/clean toys (yes there are children in the shelters hidden from an abusive parent figure, could be grandparent too)clean and good clean clothes/shoes for women, teens, children.No furniture or baby furniture is accepted. But it could be needed when these people get their own apt at some point, so the Salvation Army helps them.
So Kate you want to help? You got a place right there in Reading, help them. Use your celebrity where it counts the most, at home. Then, maybe you will get that New York attention.
This is a woman who is so sad. Last night on The Voice, if you saw it, was a singer, he had been a member of a Boy Band, nat'l group, not that we would know. He was auditioning to get "back to the life where he was famous and had the good life" he works at a Sushi Bar, serving people. He said, "girls come in and recognize me and say why are you doing this, what happened to you and I feel so bad" so he goes out there on that stage, dances and sings like he did 10 yrs ago and guess what? None of the Judges/Coaches turned around. They said to concentrate on your singing and hitting the notes, not the teenage dancing.
Wow that reminded me of Kate. It must be harder than we will ever know TO HAVE IT ALL and then be stuck with a mansion, 30 acres, 3 vehicles and 8 healthy, walking/talking children who are looking forward to their future. Oh yes and only a couple of a million $$$.
I now feel sorry for Kate Gosselin. What a sad life she lives. Guess she should look into serving Sushi.

On another topic, I am trying glycine instead of ambien for sleep issues. I've been using the 3g sticks, but wised up and bought a 1 lb. bottle. How many grams do you guys take for sleeping? I did check with my doc and he OK'd it, but we didn't discuss how much. I've taken up to 3 of the 3g sticks, but I'm wondering if I could use more?

I am way behind on reading--didn't see this until today.
The dosage used in the Japanese study was 3 grams (3000 mg) per night--this is also the dosage that was recommended by Dr. Oz. If you are taking 3 sticks, which have 3 grams each, , then you are at 3 times the recommended dosage. Glycine is being tested at higher doses for other conditions and other than possible gastrointestinal distress (loose stool), I haven't seen documentation of side effects at higher doses. However, I would definitely check with my doctor at that high of a dose. If you are switching to bulk powder, 3 grams is equal to 3/4 teaspoon.
I am also trying to get off of Ambien--down to half of a tablet. I have been told to cut the dose very slowly and not stop it all at once and I have also seen some recommendations to add melatonin.
Disclaimer: I am speaking as an insomniac, not a nurse! Anyone who has more than occasional insomnia should consult with doctor about having a sleep study. This is the best way to pinpoint what the problem is and will give lots of information about how to best treat it.

I really can't find anything to criticize about Kate's runway episode. It didn't involve the kids and it seems like a legitimate charity. The nonprofit puts on workshops for disadvantaged women about financial management, insurance and other tools to help lift women out of poverty. The participants are awarded points for attending the workshops which can be 'spent' on clothes in their shop. The person interviewed on Huff Post said that she wasn't paid. It shows how irrelevant she has becomw and how much time she has on her hands.
Oh I think she looks like Michael Lohan in Lindsey Lohan's clothes.

He did love her. I don't know if she love him as those seatings on the sofa at the end of the show got her angrier and angrier and he ignored her, rolled his eyes. They sat further apart. Sad. I think he took as much as he could and then he flipped out, had to get away from her and her greed. He really loved those kids and was a mess when he left her.

You're right, and it's sad. She's all alone there with eight kids and after they are in bed, there is no adult conversation. Think about it...having nobody to talk to, nobody to discuss the day's happenings, nobody but her tweeties who are total strangers. I take credit for all the Harrah's buffet meals and some slot fun. We have seen this United States in a whole new way. We got to know our Canadian neighbors better.

Yes, Dmasy, California is pretty awesome. I was there once in 1995 when my MIL lived in San Diego. We went to the ocean, shopped at an outside mall, spend 2 days at Disneyland, and saw one niece graduate from high school and the other from junior high.
It was a great time, but not for what we did, but WHO we did it with.

Say what you will about Honey Boo Boo and her family, but they are always laughing, always together and Honey even helps her mom shop with coupons. She reads and comprehends well above her 6 years. The house is clean and everybody works together. I like that family. They seem so genuine and really love each other. Unlike someone else who was on TV a year or so ago.

Jumping in ! I agree Kate is lonely. I am sure she thought she was going to rule the school 'cause she's a celebrity. I've logged over 16 years in the "elite" private school world. I can almost guarantee she is an embarrassment and a pariah. There are many parents who shoot off to high power jobs and still manage to coach lax, chair the auction and argue a case before the Supreme Court. Kate is a lightweight in that world and I am sure she gets the sweet little smile as the parent anxiously scans the room for someone else to engage in conversation at school functions. Many of these "wealthy" families value the anonymity that their child has in an independent school setting and probably resent the focus she has brought to the school. I would love to hear some of the chitchat in carpool line. While I am fairly sure the children are treated warmly I would bet money our Katie Bug has been iced out of leadership positions. I'm telling you those JD/MBA Mom types who stay at home are ruthless when it comes to accruing power (they are also hysterically funny). I'm sure the love and adoration she receives from strangers-is a balm after trying to fit in at her children's school.I am also sure her grifting only serves to further alienate parents at the school. She truly is oblivious to social cues and indicators. I know she considers us all haters--but I am fascinated by her ability take virtually any situation and screw it up somehow.

I dont know what I think of porn. Our discussion here could get graphic and over the top. As another poster says above, there is a difference between porn and erotica. Porn is no longer what we used to accidently see at the drive in if we werent sure what picture we were driving in for. It is no longer 'regular' sex. At all. About 10 years ago even porn actresses were complaining that Jenna Jamison (sp?) ruined it for everyone because if they werent willing to do what SHE did on film, they had no job. And it was brutal, painful, and physically damaging.
And that is what most of porn is now. I know Nadya did a solo thing so she wasnt physically hurt.
Claire - I agree and disagree. We definitely are still talking about the same stuff regarding Kate because Kate hasn't done anything to warrant any new discussion, really. Okay, regarding the above post about our thoughts on porn. I don't consider myself a prude, but yet I still believe that porn and magazines like Playboy and Hustler are derrogatory to women. It is my opinion that is sets women back and gives the impression that our main function is sexual.
I also think that it is wrong for young boys to see this because it gives them that impression that that is what females are for.
This has always been my opinion since I was a teenager, it's what I taught my daughter, and it's what I still believe today.

I know nothing about the world or what's going on around us. I don't spend 30-40 minutes or more if I have time over breakfast each morning reading the news. I don't check in again to all my news sites at midday and again in the evening. I never watch the conventions or political debates. I don't listen to AM radio on the way to work and the way back. I hate the John and Ken Show and AM 640 I cannot figure out why it's ALWAYS on my radio go AWAY. In fact news is SOOO boring that's why I majored in journalism. Because I wanted to be BORING.
The only news I follow is Kate, period.

I thought the white dress was pretty but would be better suited for someone who didn't have a chest as the shape of the top would give the illusion of boobs. I loved that her left implant was trying to escape. The color of her hair is horrendous but the curls looked nice. Her hair looks so much better when it has body in it. But it also shows that she absolutely doesn't know how to style her hair on her own. The shoes with the white dress were all wrong. She should have worn a dressy, not chunky sandal. And the color of the shoe should have been nude so as not to distract from dress. However, the boob escaping was distracting from the dress. The short, black dress was ill-fitting and boring. Again, she needs to get rid of the gladiator sandals. She has short, thick legs and the straps cut off her leg line and make her legs look stumpier. Those types of sandals only look good on 6' models who are rail thin. Ok, that's my critique. Carry on.

The situation in Libya is so disturbing. I have to wonder...did the people who died even know about this internet video stirred the unrest that ended up killing them? Yes, Kate does look great in this photo. I was going to write before you posted this that Kate needs to go back to a side bang and cut a few inches off her hair. And in this photo that is what she has. Well, she also needs to darken her hair to a dark blonde but I don't think she will ever do that.
Does anyone know if Kate attended that party that Derek threw after the catwalk at the hotel for all the girls that this benefit was for. I didn't see one photo of Kate with any of the girls that also walked in the show and who were suppose to benefit from it.

It sounds like Kate went into NY the day of the event, stayed to herself, did the walk, and bolted out of there. It seems she had zero interest in meeting or spending time with any of the girls that she was suppose to be supporting. It was about being back in the news for Kate. Period. She doesn't give a shit about the cause or girls that this fashion show was for.
And we know for 100% certainty she could have spent much more time in NY and attended the cocktail party afterwards or the tour bus event the following day. Those girls embarrassed Kate and she wanted no part of them.
