At what point in the interview did the hives pop out?
Ha ha, on the "rapid fire" question part on the show (in the dressing room), she is asked what current reality show would she want to be on and she says "MINE!!!!", lol. And "reality show or nursing" - "REALITY SHOW!!!!" - then tries to qualify it (reality show is more fun! Oh, wait, I still like nursing but...".
Kate is so full of it... She can't work as a nurse because she would be handing her check over to the baby sitter.. Well if she has help 15-20 hours a week when she isn't working...

Kate is a Twit -- I followed my son's training for his marathon last Sunday. Then I listened to his after report. Nothing like Kate's activities and words. I finally formed an opinion that she did not run a full marathon.
She lies about serious things and silly things -- each with equal impunity.
KK is so full of it. A young friend of mine is a nurse. She shares custody of their 3 children with her ex. She works 6 - 12 hour shifts in a row, Fri - Wed. She is then off for 8, count 'em, 8 days -- THurs. thru Thurs., then picks back up with 6 in a row, starting on Fri. The kids are with their dad 7 days (she uses the first day off to catch up on sleep, do housework and grocery shopping) and with her the next 7 days. It's a bit unconventional, but it works for them. KK could easily work something like this out with Jon, but she doesn't want to. Or, as I pointed out earlier, there are other jobs that she could do, including some right from home. The problem is they are "mediocre" and KK wants glamour and stardom.

Normally I would, too, but she was not touching her neck. It was the kind that happens to people when they are flustered or nervous or put on the spot - happens to me. (Not a blusher, either). I can't remember exactly what they were talking about when it started creeping in, but it was something controversial in Kate's world because I noticed it right away when Katie C brought up whatever it was - either the book, or maybe Jon, can't recall. (can see it clearly start on the show's clip, though. Just don't want to look at it, lol)
Katie's show will rebroardcast with Kate Gosselin tonight at 10pm west coast time! Watched it at 3pm and that was enough. Kate looked old with wrinkles at eyes, but but none on forehead. Guess botox was used. Wonder if Kate get botox from Canada!?!

What in a nutshell (lol0 does Kate look like in real life- wrinkles?

Nothing like the person who was on the show today. I couldn't believe how really nice she looked. Of course, make-up does wonders.
The first thing you notice is the turkey neck. It's bad, I mean really bad. I've seen 70-year-olds who didn't have that many wrinkles. Blotchy skin with break-outs. Hair is sometimes very greasy, other times very dried and fried. Nothing in between. Face sometimes shows many wrinkles, sometimes not, but the lines between her eyes are really noticeable. She looks stressed, haggard and tired. In shorts, the knees are saggy baggy, really strange knees...it reminds me of the camel in Raggedy Ann. Nice hands, though and very pretty eyes. Arms are nicely toned.
She didn't always look like that. It seems the more she messes with herself, the worse it gets. A few years ago she was very attractive, naturally pretty without even trying. It's hard to believe how someone could have aged so fast in just a few years. The hair needs some serious toning down. It's just too blonde.

For all of you that knock Kate for her looks, I actually think she looks good.
But with that said, I detest the heart and soul of Kate. And it infuriates me that she always gets away with her horrible and lying behaviors.
Today, once again, she got the usual pass. Poor victim Kate.
I get a blotchy neck all the time. Laughing, crying, mad, nervous - I get blotchy ALL the time. The fact that she never has in interviews or speeches or dances shows how nervous she was today. She knows the book is true and she is barely holding it together it appears.
Pretty sure I read somewhere that Steve wasn't a twitter person. Something about he didn't like her tweeting when they were out or when he was around. Anyone else remember reading this somewhere? Pretty sure it was on a blog as I don't ready many rag mags at all.
I have used the name Just Me since I started posting here not too many months after the blog opened.
I see there is now another person or persons using Just Me and Just me.
Neither of those people a) are me and b) hold the same opinions as myself.
As a result and to avoid any further confusion, I'm going to start using the name PoohBear in honor of Kate's tramp stamp on her ankle (I actually don't mind tattoos. I just think her's really is a tramp stamp).
I don't think I've ever seen anyone use that name before so I don't believe I'm taking anyone else's name.

That particular tweeter is the one who first said Shoka is dead. I take it with a grain of salt.
For those talking about how punishing Kate would punish the kids so maybe we shouldn't do it:
I heard a discussion on the radio about this when the Penn State sanctions came out. Someone said take a man with a wife and 2 kids. He commits a felony and is sentenced to jail. This is also punishing his kids because they won't have his income, his emotional support, etc. but we still send him to jail because he should be punished.
Same thing with Kate. Yes, her kids could feel the fallout if her behavior is addressed. But wrong is wrong and should be addressed.
Radaronline has another article up about Kate's tv appearance today. Again, they must not proofread too well.. Check out the fourth paragraph.

My next door neighbor just posted some nasty comments about Kate on her Facebook. My neighbor is a nurse at Reading Hospital and was talking about how Kate must think no one remembers her and how they all hated her.

I think the weight loss on her face is making it look like she had plastic surgery. She has a long, thin face now and it brings out her features more than ever. Her forehead is like glass thanks to botox. Whoever did her make up today did a great job. I liked how she looked. What I didn't like was her constant hand-talking. Very distracting. However, she's obviously been working on her presentation for TV. Her approach was softer and more serious. Her feet weren't bobbing up and down and I don't think I heard any ums and uhs either. But her constant, "and I was like", "and I was like" really pissed me off. Grow up. Her looks will continue to carry her into the TV world, that is for sure. What ever she did to her face and body it took a number on her natural prettiness as of 2012.
I watched most of the interview today and my impression is that Kate was probably given a list of the questions prior to taping and that with her "people" formulated answers which she memorized. It was a boring and useless waste of my time, Katie's time and the viewing audience's time. Remembering Katie's chutzpah when she interviewed Hillary Clinton at the White House and Bill walked through (she asked him a tough question about the Monica Lewinsky situation), I had a little hope she might put on her journalist shoes today. However, that was not to be; I guess she was more of a talk show host today. If you think about it, I am sure Kate appeared only with some assurance she wouldn't be hard-balled. Well, it is Katie's show and her right to produce as she sees fit; but I won't be watching if she is OK with "boring."

She wouldn't know hard if it bit her in her prissy ass! She'd never last one second in the shoes of these people and their families! I've been fighting to keep from becoming homeless (only a slight exaggeration) and it has taken months and all my time to just get a reprieve for awhile by getting a reverse mortgage, which included ripping all my flooring out and having it all replaced, many repairs, and tons of landscaping, in addition to having endless federal red tape, including a two-plus hour HUD interview via phone to go through, so Kate's entitlement and lies are getting to me more than usual. In the process, I couldn't keep up with this blog.
I know about the so-called dragging a dead animal into the house by Shoka, her usual drama and hysteria and threats of getting rid of him, and I've been worried sick about Shoka ever since. I wish there were some way to know for sure if he's still around.

Radar is really the biggest joke of a news site. Their reporting is so piss poor, I'm embarrassed for them. When you correct them about blatant misinformation they post as fact, they'll delete your comment.
Just a small example, they said the other day that no Bachelor has ever married from the show ( The Bachelor ). I reminded them that Jason Mesnick did marry Molly Malaney from the show, and he even married her on tv! So instead of correcting their mistake, they deleted my comment.
Bad spelling, awful grammar, untrue articles... that site is such a joke anymore.

As long as there are make up artists, Kate will look good on camera and that is what counts in her endless quest for fame. Judy - Sorry to hear you have to jump through so many hoops to keep a roof over your head. Don't even compare yourself to what Kate possesses in this world. It was all ill-gotten and won't last. Robert Hoffman threw water on her and she's melting quickly. :o)

Well I came back here to only a few comments. I suspect most of us were riveted to the important presidential debates. This is a smart bunch who cares about what's happening around them. Oh yes we are. :) I don't say it enough but I appreciate being able to debate and discuss with people so engaged with the world, it brings so much more to the discussion that way.

Yes, it does. The only way my daughter is running is because she is involved with a charity and has to raise a certain amount.(Which I am proud to say she has surpassed)
The same goes for the Boston Marathon.
But then we have Kate-who has said on Mar.8, 2012:
"I've got at least three halves this year&a full... Hope to do NYC next year and Boston year after that."
The only way she would qualify is if she runs as part of a charity.
I just wonder if her enablers will think that Kate ran the NYC marathon--not the NYC 10K which is a totally different race.

The fact that Kate looks almost glamorous on tv
and looks like something entirely different in real life only adds to the "she's not what you think she is" argument. Of course women wear makeup and get their hair done, but Kate only seems to care what she looks like when she knows she'll be "seen". It's not her nature to
try to look appealing if nobody's going to take her picture.
Just like one could argue it's not her nature to be a loving, nurturing parent, but when she is "seen", she is.

I believe fully in this. You don't not stop people like Kate because it might hurt the kids. It will hurt them more in the long run to not stop her and HAS. Imagine if TLC stood up to all her ridiculous demands. Half of this may never have happened. Instead they let it go on and on until she was out of control and the kids have suffered immensely for it.
Speculating, however I have always felt like some people may not have not spoken out about Kate because they didn't want to hurt the kids. While I understand that, I think we can all see the consequences of people not willing to speak up because they "don't want to hurt the kids." It's a good lesson playing out right now. Those people SHOULD have spoken up if they didn't.
Well, I DIDN'T think that Kate looked good today. The blocky sweater wasn't my style, the pants made her seem harder IMO, a skirt would have softened her. And I think it is weird that she had no wrinkles and wore so much makeup. Guess I like the natural "I laugh with my kids often" look! Or maybe it's that Kate is "playing" the unemployed single mother of eight yet looks so hollywood...
I think that all the "hate" for Kate backfires. They got a lot of negativity on the FB site, and it did get Katie to ask about the book, but in the end, it makes Kate seem like the underdog, IMO. All these people out there contacting companies, shows, etc. does seem like bulling when it's against one woman. Especially when you add the pity party of "she has eight kids". Kate, of course, is a pro at riding this sympathy. Just my thoughts.

Not necessarily. Pennsylvania is not a community property state and has no obligation to divide the assets 50-50. Surprisingly, Jon and Kate settled their divorce extremely quickly. My guess is that Kate went in guns blazing asking for the bulk of the assets expecting for a long battle with Jon. Jon decided he didn't want to fight this woman in court for years on end and agreed to just cut his losses. At the time things were chugging along with Ed Hardy and other deals and he thought he could support himself and make large child support payments without bickering over the family's money in a divorce. That stuff dried up faster than he imagined with no help from TLC sabotaging whatever they could. All of a sudden cutting his losses and moving on as quickly as possible left him screwed financially.

I think that she is very unhappy with her inner self but won't/can't admit it and that's why she continues to try and "fix" her outer self. Unless she gets some type of help to fix the ugly inside she will continue to tweak the outside until it becomes just as ugly. With every nip, tuck and tweak she becomes more like the caricature at the top of the page. You can tweet about how great a mom you are and put a shinny bow on everything but the truth is you are just a sad little package wrapped in plain old newsprint.
Just an FYI. I had a glitch downloading a book tonight on my iPad that necessitated re-registering that device. That required re-downloading all my previous purchases. Robert's book redownloaded with no problem. Doesn't appear amazon is planning any type of recall any time soon. The title is not one hat allows loaning though.

Robert, please answer us. You can call Jon and ask him where Shoka is? Many of us, and even KG's closet fans, want to know if the dog is alive or at rainbow bridge.
Everything is such a secret with KG, but she will look you right in the eyes and say everything is all reality, when it isn't and never was. She is not on TV, or in commercials for so many reasons, but the one main reason is her lies, and she is so un-trustworthy. It appears there is not a loyal/honest bone in her body.
The purse/bag, Kate was carrying today is a: George/Gina/Lucy Bag, and costs on sale $106.00, regular price is $195.00. Kate probably bought the twins birthday presents. I did also notice one thing I thought was kind of funny, one of the pics of Kate getting into the Limo, she is standing in heels on a sewer grate, not too smart, for a person in heels. Too bad she did not get stuck.

If Kate isn't careful, she could end up like Michael Jackson, who needed a sort of cap on his demolished nose. A few years ago, Kate was a natural, fresh faced attractive woman. Now, she looks phony. Katie Couric is probably 10 years older than Kate, yet she looks younger, healthier and more natural. Sounds like Kate undereats, drinks too much, tans too much, and so forth. Her looks will only get worse with each passing year.
Sleepless in Seattle: Really, how much room do you need to carry, a wallet, change purse, a small make bag, brush & comb, phone. I could fit that all in a jogging purse. I try to carry as little as possible. I like jackets with lots of pockets. Those bags you could use as weekend get-away bag. I don't see too many of them where I live, the ones who use that, usually have babies or little kids. I know shoplifters use those big bags. I have no idea why Kate needs a bag that large, or what she carries in it. It's been her choice for some time. I guess she likes them for some reason. Maybe she carries a sweater in there, or an extra set of pants or shoes. Who knows? We don't all prefer the same type bag. Large bags are in style and bought by many women who are not shoplifters or mommies to young children!
I think Kate's choice of bags right now is the least of her worries! :)

Great comment and I completely agree with everything you wrote.
Many of them seem to be fixated on the period of time when, after Kate gave him his walking papers, Jon was photographed out at bars with other women......and they became fixated on this and I highly suspected they held huge grudges regarding their men having left them/dumped them....possibly for another woman. It seemed like they became totally fixated on that specific period of time......completely disregarded the info coming out that Kate had already kicked him out by that time....and just bad mouthed him relentlessly ever since.

Back when I worked at the hospital....if you wanted full-time, you could work either 8 hours x 5 days or could work 12 hours x 3 days plus one 4 hour day and then get 3 days off and only ended up working 3 days and one short shift day.
The thing is that with nursing there is just so much out there in terms of flexible scheduling. And Kate could work part-time, could work in a doctor's office, clinic....etc. There is just so much flexibility when it comes to nursing.
And my husband works full-time as an RN in DE and makes 80,000+ per year.
What Kate said regarding working as a nurse was just ridiculous. Between Jon having the kids 50% of the time, all the kids going to school, and then having help at home to boot.......she'd have tons of time available and wouldn't need to be handing any additional money over to a babysitter. What she said on the show was pure hogwash.

I have to say that after reading here, I was surprised that Katie Couric even asked the questions she did.....and applaud her.
No matter what anyone asks Kate....she's gonna deflect. Even the best interviewers would have a hard time getting any straight or honest answers from her. You can ask hardball questions but that doesn't mean you're gonna get the person to answer them.
The perception I did get (from what I've read here) is that Kate G. no longer has the power to demand what questions will be allowed when she goes on interview shows now....and that says a LOT to me.

That's always been a huge issue with me. How lucky was Kate G. that she gave birth to sextuplets and they all came out healthy? There would normally be a huge risk when carrying multiples like this....yet her tups were all born healthy......and she's never seemed to have any gratitude for this.

I just finished ready Mr. Hoffman's book. Thanks to all who told me I could download to my P.C.. I followed everyone over here from GWOP way back when and rarely post but a frequent reader. I would say 80% of what Mr.H. wrote in his book has,was or still being discussed on this blog and others. I believe that some of the final pieces of the puzzle have
been told. We will never know the whole story until one of the children sits down and writes a
book about what really happened in the Gosselin children's lives. That may be M or C.
I have one question for Mr.Robert Hoffman. Why did you decide to release the book NOW??

When there is airbrushing involved, I talking mostly about "People" magazine, Kate looks fantastic. The best she looked was during the separation and early divorce. Then she started tinkering with her body. All she needed to do was get rid of the reverse mullet instead of adding the inflatable boobs and botox (or whatever she has done to her face). I think she is addicted to weight loss and that accounts for her drawn looking face. I am waiting to her about her collapsing at some point.

I couldn't sleep, so came out to my living room couch and turned on the television at 3:00 am. To my surprise, I came across a show of Kate Plus 8. Is it commonly being shown as re-runs now, or has it been all along? It was aired on TLC.
I never watched he show, but became fascinated with her behaviour on DWTS. The episode tonight was about them flying to Australia. What was blatantly obvious to me from beginning to end was her complete detachment from her children.
I didn't think the show was in re-runs, has anyone else run across these shows in the night?
I carry a big purse when I travel to hold my ipad, makeup and normal stuff I usually carry in my smaller purse. I don't think it's any big deal with the big purse.
I agree that she does not tweet when she is around Steve because he does not like it. Don't remember anything about him not liking it but it makes sense. Sounds to me like they want their time together to be not interrupted with distractions. I don't like my husband on his cell phone when we are together either.

However, so much in the last chapters reads like
petty jabbing to me. Way too much interjecting his commentary/opinion and name calling for me to be comfortable with it. Some of the items
brought out in the last or next to last chapter
would be best edited out so Mr. Hoffman does not come across as a person who simply wants to
take Kate Gosselin down. A mere mention of several questionable actions, neatly compiled in a few pages, would better serve the book and its advertised purpose.
It needs a beginning, a middle and an end. It needs to read easily since there is nothing easy about the subject matter.
This is all just my opinion.

JudyK, I wish Shoka was with Jon, but I doubt it. I think he may live in a small rental house, but not sure. Regardless, the dog has been mistreated, lied about, and unfortunately, it is what it is for poor Shoka. Nala, according to Robert, nipped at Kate so Nala lucked out and was not returned to the Konpound. My sense is Shoka is a sweet dog and puts up with the abuse. I bet the kids are not very kind to the dog, too. Let's hope somebody that frequents the Konpound has the ba**s to report her to SPCA. I am so sick and tired of this woman getting away with child land animal abuse.

She didn't have hives, actually. She got the blotchy red neck and chest that happens to many people when they are nervous or emotionally stressed/anxiety. Kind of like blushing. It wasn't there when she started the interview, it started when she was being questioned about "sensitive" things. I get this, too. It's not hives, but looks like it, probably, to those who don't have the problem.
Joy -- How about Interviewer Kate. This one would come equipped with a microphone and would also talk. Her only phrases would be "Enough about you. Let's get back to Me, Me, Me." ; "I have 8, count 'em, 8 children, as you know."; "I do it all for my kids." ; "I do it all alone." .
There's a lot I dislike about KK but carrying a large purse isn't one of them. It's a matter of personal choice. I carry huge purses most of the time. Always have, from the time I firtst started carrying a purse. I have a couple of small ones for a quick run to the grocery store or a brief trip to the library, but mostly it's my "suitcase" as my friends call it.
I wish someone would post a Shoka sighting, too. I'm getting very worried about him.
I agree that the book needs some editing. That doesn't necessarily mean "sanitizing". There's a lot of repetitious material that could be cut, some changes in the order of presentation, and definitely proofreading, that would make the book more effective, easier to read, and heighten the impact of the most important aspects of the material. Robert, if you're still reading here, PLEASE get someone who has some experience to go over the book and help you tighten it up.

I might add that ordering drugs from Canada was very simple. My daughter was on a very expensive medication and she had no insurance. I went online and although I ended up not doing it, it was simple to find anything you wanted, without a script, at a greatly reduced price from Canada.

Small world, My son is in electrical engineering and is a Mount Scholar. Im sure they are in the Stadium on game days together if nothing else. I also have one in college up in MI and one in High school still.

I agree I do not think it was hives. She would have been scratching. She probably was feeling a hotness where the blotching occurred. Skin rashes are common when there is high anxiety or stressed. Perhaps in prepping for the show the rash appeared and she was told to cover up just in case because what she wore was out of character.

Yes, Kate, I will give you that when you had six babies at home your entire check would go to daycare (if you couldn't work out a shift schedule with Jon so one could be home all the time). Daycare is expensive and sending 6 at once would cost a lot. Even a nanny at home would be a lot.
However, that excuse no longer works cuz your kids are older and in school! And some are gone like 12 hrs a day due to activities, so how are you then unable to work????
Just admit you are rich and don't want to and we will have a bit of respect for you (except that you got rich because of those kids so our respect won't last too long.)

It's about impossible to avoid, or cover up with makeup or even a tan; the only thing that works for some people is anti-anxiety medication, and it doesn't work for everyone. (I don't use that, I just decided to suffer and wear high necklines if I think it might happen, lol).
Maybe she's tried that before, who knows. I do know it would not have shown up unless she was feeling anxious or not in control, which is an indicator that she was particularly nervous at this time. Maybe because this time she didn't have audio in her ear, with prompts from her "people"?

It's about impossible to avoid, or cover up with makeup or even a tan; the only thing that works for some people is anti-anxiety medication, and it doesn't work for everyone. (I don't use that, I just decided to suffer and wear high necklines if I think it might happen, lol).
Maybe she's tried that before, who knows. I do know it would not have shown up unless she was feeling anxious or not in control, which is an indicator that she was particularly nervous at this time. Maybe because this time she didn't have audio in her ear, with prompts from her "people"?

I am so glad this book came out as to her MO. She tweets the exact opposite of what she is doing. I am still trying to fathom all those tweets about a locked closet full of presents that she had to start wrapping, endlessly, weeks before when in fact they got one present each. As was evienced also by the fact that few were shown in the Christmas morning photo with the baren tree that looked like it was cut from the property. It makes one wonder if she even lets them have the gifts from the young teens. They are probably in the locked closet.

A few random thoughts about her interview:
Her chest/neck was almost in hives at the beginning of interview. I get like that when I'm extremely nervous or full of adrenaline. Although I guess even if you have nothing to hide, it's possible to be quite nervous being interviewed on TV in front of a crowd.
I AM a nurse and obviously know there are many many avenues for RN's to go down that don't include bedside/12-hour shift that she could be working as. Of course, she can't say the obvious (that she doesn't need to work and/or doesn't want to be out of spotlight) but another thought is she might be an easy target for lawsuits (malpractice/etc).
Preesi's comments are verrrry interesting. I'd call that a blockbuster story if it can be proven.

What is that supposed to mean? If Kate's lawyers don't file suit, Robert will publish more? That's not what he said, or even what they said in previous articles. ROL is twisting and turning this story so much, it could make anyone's head spin.

Sleepless: I like to carry as little as possible, for 1. makes me less of a target, to get rob, 2. freedom , from carrying something and have to worry about leaving it somewhere, yes, even large bags, I knew people who would leave their purse at stores. 3. having to dig in ones purse to find something. But I guess the fashion slaves have to have it. For year, big bags or big purses were called by regular/normal people shoplifters purse/bags, not by the fashion industry. Kate would not qualify for either NYC or Boston based on her running times. For the NYC she would have had to complete a marathon in 3:10 or less, or a have in 1:30 or less.

Considering she ran(supposedly) LV in just under 5 hours, she wouldn't qualify based on her running times.
However, both events do have charity affiliations, where you can raise money for the charity and run as part of the charity team. The charity does designate that you must raise a minimum ammount or otherwise you must pay the difference. Amount can vary between $3000 to $6000.
My daughter's minimum to raise was $3000. Plus you have to pay all other fees(entry fees, etc.). The charity affiliation gets you an entry, but your responsible for everything else.
BTW, it is astounding that she is still pushing for a reality dating show. Just how self-absorbed can she be? Apparently totally.
One thing I have learned is that whatever your profession, reputation counts. People talk. Does she not think that people in the entertainment industry have not talked about how awful she is to work with?! The emails in the book prove she was just simply impossible. Her chance of ever getting another reality show...minus zero. It is just stunning that she is unable to move on.

Like most of you I think the size of her bag is a non issue. I myself carry a medium sized bag (unless I'm going to Vegas and then all I need to carry fits in a fanny pack). My mom always carried a larger bag because she carried a sweater in it to ward off the chill of restaurants, etc.

I am not a runner, so I don't know if she could physically handle it. However, this year she only ran races again starting in June(SD half, Litchfield 7.1 race, Chicago5K). Now she will be doing a 10K and then a half in October.
She herself said that she was supposed to run a marathon recently but it didn't work out. Maybe she will run LV again--but I don't see her running any other marathons in the future.
Remember, Kate exaggerates and pushes what a runner she is. I'd take whatever she says about running with a grain of salt.

I don't even carry a bag/purse. I just have this little card-holder with my driver's license, visa, and those grocery club cards....and my health insurance card....and just put it in the back pocket of my jeans if I'm going out of the house. I live in jeans. I could count on one hand the number of times I wear a dress or skirt the past year. I think the last time I wore a dress was to my son's wedding 2 years ago....and that was because I had to wear a gown and my son and his wife wouldn't let me wear a pants-suit. I think I was a man in my previous life....hate skirts and dresses....so unless it's a rare occasion....I'm in jeans with back pockets....so no purse for me. And I learned that except for the cards I need to carry (also holds $ in bills)....I really didn't need all that other crap I was toting around.
This started several years ago when I decided to walk everywhere within reasonable walking distance....and didn't want to lug a purse with me. And if I was walking to a store to buy things....I carried a backpack. Haven't carried a purse/bag for years....and I love it.

Kate G.'s comments about dating are contradictory....she doesn't have time to date but would like to be on a dating reality show. And I've had enough divorced friends with children and know that her claim that her kids are bugging her to date makes no sense...UNLESS, like another commenter wrote here.....they are only saying it because they know that's what their mommy wants to hear.
In normal life, it's quite the opposite. A divorced mom with kids tries to date, it usually upsets the kids and can cause quite a bit of havoc, especially if the mom re-marries. In real life, most kids only want one dad....their real one. And the G. kids have a real dad who is very involved in their lives. The last thing they'd want is a replacement for him.
However.....considering what these kids have been through with their mother.....and factoring-in the presence of Steve and male cameramen....they may actually want their mother to have a man in her life because they feel they'd be safer in that situation....and always have been when there are other men around when they are with her.
Let me ask a question since I wasn't able to get the book in time.....from some of the things others have written here....it sounds like Gina was a more significant presence...at least for a period of time...than I'd thought. I'd had the impression that she was staying in their family home while Steve was spending most of his time with Kate....and just staying out of the whole situation.....why we were all speculating as to why she wasn't putting her foot down.
Has Gina actually been more involved in the "Steve being a bodyguard for Kate facade".....than we'd previously thought? I just got that impression from some comments so nicely written by others here who do have the book...ie: Kate and Gina were emailing regularly, Gina was visiting Kate G.'s house much more frequently than I'd thought (and I'd thought she rarely visited).
Does the book indicate that Gina was more involved than I'd thought? I'd basically assumed she was back at their home and not involved at all.

I speculated yesterday that CC has been trying to figure out what to do with Kate. It seems her blogs are done and now they just want Kate to harness her twitter power, whatever it may be, to get clicks on CC deals.
If so, that is one big demotion and the thing is, they couldn't go on much longer with allowing Kate's Kate-centric blogs to be published because they held no value to the reader really.

Take if up with the government. I didn't create HIPAA. I would guess that most of us appreciate laws that make our medical records confidential, even if that means the medical records of someone you suspect "intentionally created multiples" aren't available for your consumption. Greater good and all.
I don't think we're mistaken though. I agree with Heather I thought HIPAA applied to the doctor or medical facility breaching confidentiality. If a patient is careless about their medical information and someone finds it lawfully that's not the doctor's fault.
For instance I've shared here I've had kidney stones. If someone wants to go around talking about that I can't backpedal and cry HIPAA can I? I let the cat out of the bag.

I dont love a big purse, but there are women who can carry it off beautifully. That one that Kate is carrying now just plain old looks like luggage, including all the extra straps. I think it's a silly looking item to try to pass as a purse.
I think she has her make-up, hair crap, and a change of clothes in there. Best to be prepared and ready to go at ALL times, you can never tell when the police will arrest you and haul you to jail for child abuse. Could be right around the corner!
Sounds to me like CC is exercising more control over Kate, telling her what to tweet about their deals.
I noticed that when Kate first started writing for CC, they would tweet about her blogs. They haven't done that for several months. Now it's almost like CC has told Kate to "toe the party line" if you want to continue working for us.
Kate has used CC to promote her own agenda==now it seems CC is using Kate to promote theirs.

What difference does it make to you if others like a flippin' big purse? If you and all the "regular, normal" people in your world want to think that everyone who carries a big purse is a shoplifter, go right ahead. I didn't write the shoplifter comment...anger did. I was just trying to point out that not everyone carries a tiny purse. For some reason, Kate prefers a large one and always has. If she wants to carry a backpack, it's her choice.

Anonymous, HIPPA regulations do not come into play here. Kate threw out this information. It did not come from her health care provider or insurance company - it came directly from Kate's garbage - that information is not protected.
I'm sorry that I can't find who asked the question about being unable to read the comments on ROL, but whoever you are, I have the same problem. I think it may be that I'm not on facebook, and that is where the comments are. Anyone know if that is correct?

Not necessarily. Pennsylvania is not a community property state and has no obligation to divide the assets 50-50. Surprisingly, Jon and Kate settled their divorce extremely quickly. My guess is that Kate went in guns blazing asking for the bulk of the assets expecting for a long battle with Jon. Jon decided he didn't want to fight this woman in court for years on end and agreed to just cut his losses. At the time things were chugging along with Ed Hardy and other deals and he thought he could support himself and make large child support payments without bickering over the family's money in a divorce. That stuff dried up faster than he imagined with no help from TLC sabotaging whatever they could. All of a sudden cutting his losses and moving on as quickly as possible left him screwed financially.

If he didn't get a share of assets in the divorce, how was he able to pay the $22,000/month child support? Seems likely that he continued to receive a salary until his contract expired last February. This would make sense, since, when people have non-competes, it is difficult to enforce them unless they are compensated reasonably. If he didn't have assets, then he must have continued to receive an annual salary of $450,000+, since the state can only require a set percentage.In PA, it was either 40% or 60% (don't remember) on his net income. Either way,that would mean that he had at least $200,000/year for personal use for 2-1/2 years-and that would be after-tax. And, his income from work would be on top of that.
Since we do know that he was only around $3000 in arrears, he must have managed to pay the original child support until it was adjusted. Maybe someone else has another take on this, but this, to me, is logical, based on known information. I just don't see how the state could assess that huge CS without income or assets.

See I didn't see this as a threat at all but maybe because my mind went straight to discovery, the legal term not the network. I saw it as a simple fact. If this goes to a lawsuit everything will come out in discovery.
I mean even I've said that in my practice before, if we're going to take this all the way everything will come out. It's not a threat, it's a fact.

I completely agree with you and viewed it the exact same way. To me, it was a very matter-of-fact/incidental and nice professional way to say "don't eff with me" but not as a direct threat. He was basically stating the truth of what would likely happen and reminding them of all the cards he still holds in his back pocket.
I was impressed, actually. :D

I completely agree that what type of bag Kate carries is irrelevant. I've tended to avoid criticizing her on incidental things like this. They are just not important in the big picture for me.....and there are SO many things that are important.

Kate details her doctor visits, including timing and numbers of follicles, etc. Product packaging was found in trash with receipt (IIRC). Subsequent doctor's visits, doctor's reactions, etc., detailed.

The original comment was that Preesi had tracked down the doctor in question. If the doctor or someone in that doctor's office revealed any patient information, that is a HIPAA violation, regardless of what Kate chose to reveal about herself.

It may not seem fair, but they will assess you based on what income they THINK you should be earning. This prevents a doctor from taking a job at McDonalds just so he won't have to pay as much child support. It kind of makes sense. This means that even if you have no job or no income, you can indeed be responsible for 22,000.

The HIPAA issue is not Robert, it is Preesi's "blockbuster investigation." If she has gone directly to the health provider to glean information, HIPAA comes into play.
Huh? Where did anyone go to her doctors for a bombshell interview? I think she just means she found them online, she is a star sleuth like that. I doubt she talked to them about all this or that they would say anything.

I'm pretty sure I read that his share of divorce assets were put into some sort of escrow account, and he was forced to pay the $22,000 a month child support from that account.

You are correct. HIPPA applies to any professional who has access to or knowledge of your medical information or your activity as a consumer of medical services.
If YOU announce that you have kidney stones (eeh, gads, I am so sorry!) and other people quote you, that's called free speech. HOWEVER, no nurse or kitchen worker or housekeeper can pop up and say Yes, they know all about your kidney stones, coz they saw you in the hospital last July (or whatever). Even though you let the cat out of the bag, people who have knowledge of your medical condition through their jobs still cannot speak about it.
She said smugly that she'd be able to talk about the book later .... much the same way she smugly wrote off the astronaut on Dancing with Stars with her big check mark.
And we all saw how well that worked out!
Kate is a twit...29 My oldest daughter did look into the Spartan Run @ Fenway Park but she won't be able to do it that day. She emailed us pictures that were taken of her at the Sprint Triathalon and her comment was "look at the pained expression on my face." She said it was tough. So I agree with everyone who says no effing way Kate ran the LV marathon.
Can someone please explain to me why Kate cries (or attempts to) in every interview. 3 1/2 years after she kicks Jon to the curb and she's still crying over it. Give me a break.
As far as her looking good, yeah makeup and lighting will do that. I noticed it one day while watching the RHOC. When the ladies were filming indoors under lighting their skin looked nice; our in the sunlight, not so much. Kate' weight loss, however, doesn't come close to explaining the transformation of the shape of her face. I remember when TLC on one of the shows, showed J&K's wedding video. Kate was thin then and she didn't have the elongated face. Would be an interesting contrast to see if admin. put up, side by side, a picture of Kate from '09 and a picture of Kate today. The differences would be remarkable. As far as her hair, it is just gross.
I had a thought with regard to Kate and being on TV again. She always says the kids miss filming but she hasn't been pushing her and the kids doing something on TV; she's just been pusing herself on TV ie: dating show. Could it possibly be that Discovery/TLC made her sign a non-compete document when they were done with her, meaning that she can't do a Kate Plus 8 type show on another network but if she wanted to do a show by herself, no problem. Just wondering.
