Costume Party winners announced: Aggiemom and FotK!

Thank you everyone for coming to the costume party. The two winners that were drawn this evening are:

Comment 99 from Aggiemom:
"I think I'll be a lunchbox with a day old sandwich in it.
or maybe a grape..."

You're cute as a button, Aggie!

And the second winner is FotK, who brought organic slop dip to the party, which no one ate, though that doesn't disqualify her from the prize.

Comment 117 from FotK ...
Why is no one eating the slop - er, um - organic dip I brought? Honestly. I mean, to be honest. It is NOT mediocre. There's lots and lots and lots of cheese and organic canned black beans in it. And guacamole. It's supposed to be served with those 503 loaves of bread I baked in my 2 Cuisinart breadmakers

Mmm, cheesey and bready.

Please e-mail admin@realitytvkids.com with the e-mail address you wish to use to collect your prize--a $25 Kindle or Amazon gift card, your choice!

It's not just the Tomatoes poster that left in a huff, anger issues did the same thing the other nite.

I certainly hope that if (WHEN! LOL) I say something out of order or out of line, I'd step back and think about it before hastily leaving.

Constructive criticism from friends is the best kind to get, IMO. :)

Aggiemom and FotK Congratulations!

I had the best time last night mingling with the best guests ever. Still chuckling over the costumes. Really glad I was wearing my poise, poises, poise big ones? What is the right word? Do you actually wear them? Anyway, when a few of you strolled by they were a lifesaver.

I'm definitely posing as anon tonight.

Dmasy said... 24

Auntie, not to worry. I make so many quick typing mistakes here that I NEVER pick on someone else. Never...ever. Why do we always see our errors after clicking the publish button? Not before?

NJGal51 said... 25

Congrats to Aggiemom and Flight of Kiwi (and Auntie Ann, every time I see FUFK I still think the same thing). No for my cute Halloween stories.

A little princess came to the door and her eyes got very wide when she saw my bulldog and asked "did him eat all the candy?". I told her no and asked her why. She sad "He's a fat doggy and my mom says shes fat from eating too much candy.". Heavy mom laughing in background and bulldog very insulted because he's not fat he's big boned.

The second also involved a child who was probably around 3. She was dressed as a pirate and when my bully answered the door with me she took one look at him and with a blood curdling scream turned and started to run down the sidewalk. Thank God her parents came to the door with her and knew that I wasn't trying to kill their child. They apologized and said that they have a dog so they don't know what came over her. Ah well, he didn't answer the door with me again.

Look to your left. He was dressed as the headless horseman's horse and I think he was rather cute!

Dream On said... 26

I NEVER pick on someone else. Never...ever.

^^ There was no 'picking on' anyone here. Some posters said some really outlandish things and were rightly questioned for them. We try to give Katie constructive criticism alllll the time, so why can't these posters suck it up and be an example and NOT act like Kate. Instead, admit you made a mistake and move on. Just like we'd hope Katie would do.

Dmasy said... 27

Dream On, sorry. I wasn't making a reference to what happened earlier. I meant that I don't correct the typing errors of another poster -- I make so many of my own.

Actually, I usually skim-read right over them and don't even notice.

AuntieAnn said... 28

Dmasy - I miss Windows XP. At least it would tell me when I was making a spelling/typing error. I don't mind if other people make them either, it just bothers me when I make them for some reason. I don't understand why W7 did that to me. (I take it personally)

NJGal - those are funny stories. Kids never fail to speak their mind. Your bully looks adorable, big bones and all (lol).

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said... 29

Dream On, it's not allowed because this is not a blog about the posters themselves.

For the love of God move on, you've been going on about this for days now and I still haven't the foggiest notion what this is all about. Start your own blog to criticize other posters or email me privately, those are your only options.

Dmasy said... 30

NJGal -- he is a handsome, big-boned fellow. Bull Dogs always look like Ed Asner to me...just a funny thought I have sometimes.

I had a kindergarten teacher who probably has never made a grammatical mistake in her life but she was cold and aloof and had one foot out the retirement door. I'm sure she would sound like a scholar on this blog but was she a good teacher? Nope.

AuntieAnn said... 32

I have to admit though that when I read some of the things Kate's fans write, I shudder.

"Kate I seen you on tv. You is so bootiful".

Okay. I'm exaggerating but you know what I mean.

I had a sweet little trick or treater - little girl dressed in a really pretty dress carrying a basket full of flowers. Turned out they were real flowers that her mother had spent the time tying with curly ribbon after adding a baby's breath to each individual bloom. After I gave her candy she handed me a flower. Sweet little girl and obviously a sweet, caring mother to spend the time putting these together for her daughter's flower fairy costume (or maybe she was a flower girl?). Loved it, so SWEET!

Congrats Aggiemom and Kiwi! Hope you enjoy your prizes!

AA, Dwindle and Dmasy -- Thanks for solving that mystery for me. I was racking my brain trying to figure out who in the heck FUFK was! I'll admit to thinking naughty thoughts whenever I saw that, too.

I participated in participated in Trunk or Treat last night. Or rather, it turned into church rec hall treat, because it was chilly and drizzly and no one wanted to be soggy all evening. We had some adorable littles, and a few not so littles, but all were well-behaved and remembered their manners. The cutest costume I saw was a young tween who had taken black eye liner and drawn whiskers and nose on her face, put on a black leotard and tights, stuffed a black stocking and pinned it to her rump and came as a black cat. Very creative, inexpensive, and she just looked adorable.

I posted this on the other thread, but -- some people have been quoting the Scottish Play again, so someone needs to go outside, spit, turn around three times and come back in again. That may be why we're all so cranky and scratchy and testy and all. We also need to take a few steps back, take a few deep breaths and SMILE!! I think KK's infesting us with her sour personality.

Totally OT, so scroll past if off-topics are annoying!

If you like Les Miz, I just watched the trailer for the movie which is coming out on Christmas Day. Having seen the Broadway performance seven times, this movie version starring Russell Crowe looks amazing because instead of pre-recording the songs in a studio with the actors coming back and syncing them, the entire show is sung live on the set. Apparently that's never been done before in a musical film.

AuntieAnn said... 44

Dmasy, you're right Ed Asner DOES look like a bulldog. Great actor. I remember watching Lou Grant with my dad. Sigh :(

My son told me a joke about country songs:

What do you get when you play country music backwards?

Greedy Gosselins said... 50

My opinion regarding Liz posting public pics of the G. kids, however 'blurred' they may be, is still wrong.I knew which kids in the pictures posted were.

Someone said she may be giving the 'wink and nod' that the G. kids are indeed with Jon and are, indeed, happy there.

The thing that bugs me is that it appears like a passive aggressive thing for Liz to do this. She doesn't say too much (if anything) about Kate and these pics posted kind've seem like, well, like passive aggressive digs at Kate and/or her sheeple.

My opinion is that the kids have been used as a bargaining tool since the day they were born. I wish Liz would stop this. If Kate sees these pics, I can only imagine it enrages her and guess who she takes it out on? The kids. Eg) "Why do you have to look so happy/content at your dad's?" "Why are you trying to make me look like a bad mother?"

I don't know but that's my take on the entire thing. These 'adults' need to stop using these kids to play thier childish games.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said... 51

Or, you know, it's just a couple sweet pics of a kid and the dog, nothing more nothing less behind it. It's hard to tell if anyone is really playing games here. I don't have a clear picture of her to get a sense whether she is a game player, has ulterior motives, or what. If it were Kate doing it, who has a history of playing games and a history of everything has a purpose, then yes I'd say it's game playing. But here, I don't know. When asked about Kate she said she met her and no one had an issue, as I recall.

Greedy Gosselins said... 52

I agree, the pics themselves seem innocent enough but didn't you say Liz has like 100 pics that are 'private'? And none of her own kids appear in the public ones.

Jon also was pretty clear and quite adamant that his kids lives were 'not up for discussion'. One wonders if he is aware Liz is doing this.

I just get a bad feeling is all. My opinion and I don't except anyone to agree. I don't know Liz either but her choice for her 'public' pics leaves me scratching my head. And considering Jon's poor choice of girlfriends in the past doesn't help matters.

Liz seemed all too willing to be interviewed for whatever rag mag website she and Jon were on and even particpated in that staged 'just wandering down the street and kissing Jon' interview. Like you've said here, it's a puzzle and I'm just putting my pieces together.

** Greedy gosselins made some good points. Why couldn't she share it with her OWN kids? Or, how about a picture of HER with her beloved dog. Look, I'm not out on a wtich hunt but if we're going to question every thing Kate does, then we can question anything Jon and his GF do as well.

We may not agree with one another Remona and I don't agree completely with Greedy Gosselins either but it was well stated.

gotyournumberKate said... 55

In my opinion Liz is just sick and tired of Kates lies. She's probably tired of Kate constantly making it seem like she has all the responsibility and Jon does nothing. Kate has a way of twisting her words to make it seem like she has the kids when she more than likely doesn't. If I cared about a man and knew how much he loved his kids and they loved him I would do the same. I'm actually surprised it took her this long. Someone needs to call Kate out and not be shushed by her high powered attorneys, Steve, or TLC. She gets away with way too much. I thought the book was going to help to do that but she's even still being protected by a company that loathes her. TLC stopped the book to protect themselves but by doing so they are also protecting her. How long can she keep hurting innocent people and get away with it?

As far as the photos, I don't see a thing wrong with them. They're not being lined up for a photo op and made to smile whether they want to or not. I've got dozens of the same type of photos of my grandchildren on my Facebook page. I think they're finally being shown in a normal, relaxed light just like normal kids are.

Someone needs to knock Kate off that perpetual high horse she's been sitting on and all I have left to say is...you go, Liz!

Congrats to aggiemom and Kiwi!

Boy, I'm glad I couldn't make it to the party because I would have embarassed myself with my posts. I totally misunderstood the costume description and posting anonymouns part. I thought we were to describe our costume that hinted at our identity and others would try to guess who each costume was. I know! I know! I wasy way off and I don't know how I came up with that, but I did.

So I was at home thinking I can't be too obvious and include anything in my costume description about little boys or grandmas, it'll be too easy to guess who I am. So then I came up with this great "costume", I would come as an ear of corn. But then I couldn't think how to describe it as being an ear of corn from Iowa! Okay, do you all see my dilemma and why I'm glad I was a no-show?

I also couldn't post this last night because I didn't want anyone to think I was sitting at home hitting the rumspringa when they read my post. So I waited till this morning so you would all know I am stone cold sober, and I am still shaking my head at my costume dilemma.

See? Written words can be unintentionally misunderstood by someone.

aggiemom09121416 said... 59

LMG,
you are correct in your thinking about the posting anon and trying to guess what everyone was to dress as..I saw that as well. My first post (which was done before the party post) was a hint at what I was going to wear...it was a secretly purchased box of HCG.
I missed almost all the party due to handing out candy (well, I had two 'helper girls', lol...although my twins like to hand out candy I still 'mastermind' it, since I don't want them outside alone.)
I always enjoy reading your posts, I know when your name pops up I am about to read something super cute about a grandkid, or a very compassionate post on playing nice in the sandbox.

Thanks to readerlady for saying I am a major contributor...lol, that's funny!

Anyone know a military family that could use a gift card? Or if a gift card hasn't been purchased yet for this giveaway, how about a donation to the Red Cross??

By the way, I did see Pres. Clinton yesterday and it was wonderful. Watching the security and visible Secret Sevice was fascinating. I waited for Homeland Security to tackle me, but curiously it never happened.

Clinton is thinner and more frail than he appears on TV. But he is a strong speaker. Surprisingly he was not all RAH RAH Vote For My Guy, like I thought he would be but more intellectual about the economy and foreign policy. VERY intelligent. He makes long, serious eye contact with people, he doesnt scowl nor did he smirk. And if he wears dentures, they visually fit well and didnt whistle, which is something that really bothers me about one of our main candidates right now.

It was rough getting in, what with parking and all, but easy getting out.

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

I am sad to admit that crossed my mind too. The kids will have to have a date with the Spanker and the Screamer and the Emotional Manipulator when Kate gets her hands on them again, for daring to look content in some pics. She wont let it go, she will berate them about NEVAH allowing anyone to take their pictures.

But then again, people have been tiptoeing around Kate for 12 years, trying not to breathe wrong and upset her, knowing she takes her rage out on her kids. And look what has happened - she still takes her rage out on her kids. Three leaves have a meeting on her driveway, and she takes her rage out on her kids.

But you are right, in my opinion, about the kids being used, again. Or rather, still.

***********************

Tell ya what Kate: *I'LL* do it. Yep, I will definitly take that baby sitting job.

You say you would merely be turning over your paychecks to a sitter - $65K is alot of money to pay someone to watch kids for a few hours after school, for only 2 weeks of the month and 2 weekends a month too. But I will take the job since you seem so certain!

Let's see, $65K comes out to about $32 an hour... Yep Kate, i will watch your kids for $32 an hour. Just put me on salary and pay me flat $1280.00 a week. I will definitely be your babysitter for $1280 a week.

Oh, what's that you say Kate? But I wouldnt be watching the kids for 40hrs a week coz they are at their Dad's half time and in school most of the other time? So why should you pay me for 40 hours a week while you are working when you dont need me all that time? Well, I'll let you work out those numbers with your sheeple, but as long as you are turning over $65 a year to a sitter while your children are in school and then at their dad's, I want to be first in line for that babysitting job.

Babysitting in Wernersville is way more profitable than most Ohio social workers seem to know! I sense a career change in my future!

It's around the time that she visits her overpriced hair salon- AND (horrors) downtown Manhattan still has no electricity!!

Boo-hoo. Poor Kate.

Dwindle, that's so cool you saw Clinton. You should read Game Change about the 2008 primaries and election. It sort of is a "Kitty Kelly" style insiders look at what happened and what was said, warts and all.

Bill Clinton is one of the few who surprisingly comes off really well. He is portrayed as incredibly intelligent, sincere, strategic, and actually really devoted and loving toward Hillary and fiercely protective of Chelsea. It was interesting.

I tend to give them more the benefit of the doubt because I don't think it's the same at all as Kate. People have different tolerance levels for the benefit of the doubt I guess.

They aren't trying to get the kids back on TV that *I* know of, they both WORK and don't live off the kids, the kids seem happy and relaxed with them, none of them appear to be abusive parents that I know of, and both of them seem to be trying to do a good job for all the kids in their lives. So I'm not on a witch hunt to find hidden meanings and devious motives behind a simple thing like an Instagram pic.

As far as the Instagram pics being private, that's the default setting so she may not even realize that. The only reason these aren't private is because they were tweeted. It looks like she's probably had instagram far longer than she's had twitter. She's only posted 3 pics, so it's hardly fair to say she never posts pics of such and such. Her instagram may be full of kiddie pics that she thinks anyone can see but doesn't think anyone would really care about but close friends and family. Being a private person, I never think of instagram or FB in a way that people around the Gosselin kids have to think of it....i.e. incredibly cautious.

I'm still wearing my Shoka dressed as Nala costume just because I like it. I have eaten about 1200 plaster easter eggs (don't get me started on how yummy they were!) and also 4-5 loaves of bread wrapped up for the garbage men. Sorry Garbage men - I know that Kate holds you in some super special esteem and that you apparently need plastic wrapped loaves of bread for Christmas but they looked too yummy and apparently I eat anything when dressed like this.

Since I'm invisible no one can complain about my (multicolored) poop as it also is now invisible.

BTW I did take a picture with the G8 during that picnic pre-sandy but since I'm invisible you know how that goes.

We've had a few discussions that sort of go like: I like politician X because he protects his kids and wants what's best for them and was a strong leader in a crisis. Maybe he's just thinking 2016 I don't know.

To me those discussions are tolerable and don't usually instigate fights. It's more about the person than the politics. More about the current events than the issues. Same with you seeing Clinton, it's just what you did the other day and your perceptions. When it gets into I'm voting for X because of health care and taxes and you're stupid not to, that's what I can't tolerate here. Election in four days, yea!

I actually AM going to do an election post Tuesday since it will be so on topic, but it will be about Jon and Kate's voter registrations.

One of the things I love about this blog, besides the brownies and rumspringa, is that we can have discussions about facts and usually not end up name calling. i love that. i love hearing different opinions and expanding what I thought I had been so certain of. For example, yesterday I was in Go Liz! corner over those couple of pictures. Today i read another poster say that those kids have been used since day one and this could be another example; And I must agree with that. So on the chance that those pics were used to rub Kate's nose in her own lies, I have to agree that the kids are being used again. So now I dont know...

I LIKE getting MORE information and sides to a subject so my opinion or knowledge can be as fully informed as possible. But when politics gets into name calling and your-mother-dressed-you-funny, I'm not learning anything from that so I duck out.

I question everything Kate does because what she says is always so questionable. Kate set the tone the minute she denied increasing the size of her former mini-boobage, and continues to this day. Even her former employer said she is unauthentic. Her blogs were a jumble of half-truths at best. Kate was never an extreme couponer, she was and is an extreme opportunist. Kate invites speculation about her sincerity with almost every tweet she sticks up on the internet for the world to see.

I give Jon some slack. Why? Because he’s apologized publicly more than once, has expressed publicly the guilt he feels and has stated he’ll live with it for the rest of his life. That counts for a lot in my book.

Dwindle 72 -- I'd take that babysitting job, too. Heck, I'll even be generous and let KK keep half her pay. $32.900 is a heck of a lot more than most teachers I know make, and they wrangle more than 8 kids every day!

Admin -- I know it's your blog and what you say goes, but I really wish you wouldn't discuss Jon and Kate's voter registration. Unless a person publically discusses their party affiliation, that's something that is no one else's business. Neither one of them came out and announced which party they support or how they intend to vote or if they intend to vote. I think some things should still be sacred in this country, and one's voting stance is one of those things.

Flame suit on now, LOL.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said... 94

Readerlady I appreciate that, but in a ton of states voter registrations are wide open public record. It typically just tells you the party, not HOW you voted. I don't think it's that big of a deal or all that private. Once you register that's how all the candidates find you and spam you. It's not private at all. You need not register with a party if you want your beliefs to be private. Besides it's just their registration, who knows how they will actually vote or IF they will vote. And frankly in Kate's case she's better off staying home as uninformed as she is lol.

I kind of thought it would be fun since they are of opposite parties, sort of a whose party will win?

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said... 95

By the way I should say, how you actually vote on election day should be private unless you want to say. But the public records don't tell that. They just tell your party registration. Lots of people don't vote with their party.

I have long believed (my opinion, of course) that there will come a day when one or more of the kids will stay ENOUGH and start fighting back. What form the fighting will take could be anything; hitting her, destroying her trophy house/cars/clothes. When people get in a rage anything can happen. And also the kids can always talk to the media when they get older and tell their side of the story. They lived it and they won't have signed any CA's.

I am not suggesting by any means that this behavior from the kids should be encouraged. However, out of 8 kids the odds are one or two will say enough and stand up to Kate.

I never ever went through the abuse that some of the other posters have talked about here. However, one day my mother slapped me hard across the face because I didn't respond to her fast enough. I didn't even hesitate and slapped her right back. My mother never took a hand to me again.

Well we called it here. The spin that Kate's twits are putting on her #SUPERFUNSANDY tweet is that she was just a mom trying alleviate her kids' fears by putting a bright face on everything and trying not to let the see how worried she really was. My question to the twits is...if none of the kids are on twitter, why did she tweet it out for the world to see? How did that tweet help to alleviate their fears? I mean if they were already having such a super fun time with flashlights, ice cream and the Disney channel so why the tweet? And another thing, how did she find time to alleviate their fears when she spent the entire time on her iPhone tweeting? Oh OK, business as usual. Nothing for them to worry about because Kate was ignoring them in favor of her twits. #SUPERDUMBASSTWITS

CNN Money has the top 100 best jobs right now, and RN taps out at number 46.

Median pay: $65,800
Top pay: $90,300
10-year job growth: 26.0%
Total jobs*: 2,737,400

I don't know anyone who can't afford a great babysitter on a 65,800 salary. Suck it, Kate.
* * * *
Exactly - especially considering Kate only has the children 50% of the time. Even if she had a paid babysitter for 5 hours per day, that would be 50 hours per month total. What do babysitters get paid in PA these days? Even if it were $15/hour, she could certainly afford that on a nurse's salary.

But she has no intention of working. Not only is she mentally incapable of holding down a job, she simply doesn't want to work. That would interfere with her sleeping in, tanning schedule, and tendency to drop all responsibilities at the slightest opportunity of being back on tv.

I could see why Kate would have had some fans during the show's heydey, when she just seemed like a vain and selfish woman. But how does she retain those few diehard fans, now that the truth is out?

Ok, the guest room is ready, just have to run the vacuum in there but I will do that when I do the hallway. And the bathroom is ready, I even cleaned and polished the door knobs. Who's got some ativan?

Have I mentioned 10,000 times yet that DD#1 is flying tonight for the weekend? Baby shower this weekend and coincidently, a funeral too, all for the same family. Shower is for DDs BFF since 5th grade who also tragically lost her dad this week.So she and I will be doing double duty.

Hey, Kate, these gals are 37 years old. Do YOU have a close friend that you fly across the country for from 5th grade? To vacation with her, comfort her, help her move, rejoice at her baby shower, visit each other every Christmas or New Year, gather the Group of Five from HS and go to dinner every year? Yeah, I didnt think so. And this gal is expecting her first baby at 37 because they had REAL infertility problems, not made up ones at 22 like you.

But my knee is hurting, so I finish one task and then sit with my computer, and then go on to the next.

Oh, I want to thank the drive by, for reminding me to hang my Blue Star in my living room window. I had forgotten to do that for this deployment! But it's proudly up now, so thank you.Although it's made out of wool felt and it is a bit faded from the previous 6 deployments...If it ever stops precipitating out there (right now it is snow) I will take a pic from outside and post it so you all can see how pretty it looks.

Winners, please enjoy your spoils for the rest of us! Or at least spend them on grandkids or nephews or something!

Kate is soooooooo proud of herself for making those jeans (if SHE really did make them and not the nanny). Would love to be a fly on the wall when she pulls the tape off and realizes that the glue stays on the jeans. They are going to be "ruined"!

The whole can't afford a babysitter thing is so stupid! Such a blatant lie. And no one calls her on it! The kids are in school what, 7-4 with bus ride? Not to mention that a couple of them come home on a later bus so the school apparently has after school programs AND also provides busing for that too! So, if all kids were in programs and came home on the late bus, when exactly would she need a sitter?

Not to mention the fact that she still lives close to where she grew up. Does she have no friends or resources after living in the area for 40 years? No friends from hs who are stay at home moms and could watch the kids for a few hours? No relationship with any friends of her parents who might be retired and could handle being with the kids? No family in the area who could watch them? Not one single person at their church that she has a relationship with would could watch them? (all paid, I mean, but you wouldn't have to pay so much to a friend/family as to a center).

This is a most telling part about Kate. We all know it's really that she just doesn't want to work and doesn't have to, but if she really did and is in a community she has been a part of for 40 yrs and has no connections or relationships, no one to rely on, you have to ask why not?

I used to carry one in my car as part of my emergency kit, and came upon someone with an engine fire once. I stopped for her and we managed to get the blooming thing to work and had the fire put out by the time the fire engine got there. In retrospect, it was probably a stupid thing to do. @FoTK -Dwindle - STAND DOWN woman...I mean honestly, how many times must we have this discussion? "I" am the attention seeker here. I. ME. Got that? Just like you to try and take the spotlight and get a sheeple focused on you. Geesh! Ya knows I loves ya, ya NE OH dweller you:)

I feel a need to inform y'all - the 1980's heirloom faux ultra suede brown Lazy-Boy recliner is fake suede. Fake ultra suede. It's cotton/polyester. Plant/many esters. But the touch, the feel of that fabric of my life - oh my. It breathes. But it's NASA approved fabric. Jet-fuel retardant applied. It's not leather.

Oh, oh - I've held/used a fire extinguisher...sadly, many times. We have a turkey fryer. Plus Rocketman likes to try to cook - for some reason he only uses the High setting on the stove top.

********************

See? I really want to be TheQueenOfEveryDamnThing and I keep forgetting that title belongs to YOU, and Auntie is the favorite and *I* am a Duchess... I think we need more titles around here.

I wonder if the fire department would give someone a trial run with a fire extinguisher upon request. My 2 part session was a scheduled thingy for a certification for something, so I dont know how that would work for me as an individual. Any one know?

The fabric of your life kiwi? Those old cotton commercials used to make me cry! "Cottonnnnn... The fabric of our livessssss." I can still hear the jingle.

This is the woman who was going to have a crafts with Kate project on the cruise...the one who is so creative, and they were going to pay how much extra to cruise with her?

Yep, that pic of the jacket and jeans is the one they're raving about. lol And they supposedly took her a whole day to do, too.

We have all been fed the line about Kate not being able to still work as a nurse due to babysitting expense. It is proven to be a lie and we all know that, too. It's just so insulting for Kate to keep putting out that crap of a tale when we also realize she doesn't want to work in a "mediocre" job and apparently doesn't have to work outside of her home at all. She is insulting our intelligence every time she is interviewed. Considering that she is a stay-at-home not working mom, why isn't Kate enrolling the children in Scouts, Dance class, Gymnastics, Swimming, Acting, etc., that would benefit their life now and in the future? Oh, I know. She is too cheap. If it doesn't benefit her, it doesn't happen. This is one of the saddest facts about this saga. The Gosselins are famous for nothing besides having 8 kids that they could not afford to take care of without exploiting them on television. There appears to be no talent there and Kate is not developing any talents in her children. Ugly, really ugly.

Congrats to the winners of the contest! Very cute.

But, Kate's ROL post elicited vitriol towards Kate and Jon (and Liz) are getting support--mostly from dog lovers who think that smearing pit bulls is uncalled for and untrue.

I agree, Liz should have never posted the photos of the kids.

It's a shame that innocent, beautiful pics showing the love between a child and a pet can't be viewed as just that and instead cause so much controversy. This would not be happening though, if the Gosselin kids hadn't been exploited by their parents for years - and with Kate still doing it.

Liz was advised on twitter about posting about the G8, yet she continued. I'm hoping her motives were innocent and it was just about the interaction between dog and child, but... I still have to wonder. I can only shake my head about how some of those involved with the G8 continue to learn the hard way (and the kids are the ones to always be in the middle). It's sad. I guess it's Liz's turn now.

Why do some of the adults not understand that pics, tweets, etc of the kids never ends well, no matter what the intent?

To ALL of the adults involved with the Gosselin kids: LEAVE THE KIDS OUT OF IT (tweets, pictures, magazines, tv, ALL OF IT) - and that includes YOU, too - KATE!

"My opinion is that the kids have been used as a bargaining tool since the day they were born. I wish Liz would stop this. If Kate sees these pics, I can only imagine it enrages her and guess who she takes it out on? The kids. Eg) "Why do you have to look so happy/content at your dad's?" "Why are you trying to make me look like a bad mother?""

I hate that the abused have to tip toe around abusers, been there, done that. I know it's a necessity sometimes for their own well being, but I HATE it!

Regardless of what Liz does or doesn't do those kids will have to live out their lives trying to save themselves, so I say Kate should be exposed for her abuse and lies whenever possible.

OT -- book report.

Swings and Roundabouts, I have gotten so many delicious book lead here, too.

I saw a Dr. Phil show with Michael Schofield and his wife with their daughter, January. That led to reading his book, January First: A Child's Descent into Madness and Her Father's Struggle to Save her.

January was diagnosed as a schizophrenic at the age of 4. It is a heart breaking story of parental love and dedication. Having seen January on TV made the story even more compelling.

I like Dr. Phil. I DVR his show daily and then watch the topics I am interested in. I haven't seen the narcissist program yet. I think Dr. Phil is down to earth and funny. I don't expect him to work a miracle in an hour program. I am entertained and a learn a bit about human nature.

Sweet Tart said... 169

I admit to having mixed feelings about pit bulls, but I do believe that most of the problems and tragedies involving pit bulls are due to their owners. However, since there are no laws in place over who can own a pit bull, there will continue to be irresponsible owners who then end up causing terrible tragedies.

I used to occasionally watch Pit Boss and Shorty and his dogs show how a pit bull can be faithful, loving, mellow and trustworthy. If only all people who owned pit bulls were responsible owners, the world would be a better place.

As to Liz posting those pics - I'm already too involved in this "Kate Krieder is the worst mother I've ever seen" saga. I'm not getting in any deeper by proffering an opinion on something Jon's girlfriend did, except to say that the dog in the photos looks to have kind eyes.

My son joined the Navy when he was 19 years old. This was February of 2001. It was just a few days after his birthday. I remember dropping him off at the recruiters office, saying our good-byes, watching him through the window sitting there all by himself and crying my eyes out all the way home. I remember thinking that I just left my baby and I don't know where he's going or what's going to happen.

Then 911 happened. I was shaken to my core because I knew it was just a matter of time before something big would happen. And it did. Before the war broke out, we got a call from him saying that he wouldn't be able to talk to us for awhile but not to worry. He would contact us when he could. Well, it was a couple of months later when the war started and he was behind the scenes preparing but we weren't supposed to know this.

Dmasy - it may interest you to know that I was curious after reading your post and Googled January Schoefield. I was surprised to see links to blogs relating to alleged abuse suffered by January at the hands of her parents.

Here are a couple links, if anyone is interested:
http://spitbristleandfury.wordpress.com/2009/10/08/oprah-ignores-abuses-against-jani-schofield/

http://bipolar-stanscroniclesandnarritive.blogspot.com/2009/07/6-year-old-jani-schofield-schizophrenic.html

The second link includes some quotes by January's own father acknowledging some of his behavior, including hitting January, starving her, etc. One sentence reads, "We did EVERYTHING we could to try to break her."

If I've learned one thing from this Krieder mess, it is not to trust what we are spoonfed by the media, and that includes Dr. Phil. Remember, Dr. Phil had Jon & Kate on his show, and talked to them about preserving their branding, their image. He gave them free nanny service or some such. He's part of the media conglomerate that wants us to turn a blind eye to the reality behind the image presented by "reality tv."

I don't know the truth about January Schoefield, but I wanted to point out that there are apparently more facets to the story than a loving father devoted to his daughter. A loving father does not hit nor starve his child.

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

She really is, and it's too bad. There's something very wrong with an 18-year-old (although some say she's in her early 20s) who is obsessed with a 37-year-old divorced woman. I can't remember the number, but I think that she has something like 5,000 photos just of Kate alone. You'd think that after all this time, this bizarre obsession would have worn off. She really does need help, but clearly she's not going to admit that there's a problem. I think that something is really "off" in that household. The thing is that Kate does nothing to discourage her and accepts her gifts, but doesn't thank her. Still, Paige remains true in her devotion and will keep sending her packages, not even knowing if Kate's opened them because she doesn't acknowledge it. I can't remember the name of her "bestie" on Twitter, but that young "friend" has a garbage mouth that would make a back-alley drunk blush! Where are the parents of these kids?

Speaking of gifts, I wonder how many sheeple have started their Christmas shopping for Kate. Has she put out any hints yet as to what she'd like to see arrive in the mail?

It takes a special young man (or woman ) to enlist right out of high school. You should be very very VERY proud of your son and his accomplishments.
There is something about those that join our military that sets them apart from their peers. They have such a selflessness about them..most kids that age are thinking about me me and me...those kids are wanting to serve their country. There's nothing like the heart of a soldier.
Thanks for his service and your sacrifice to keep our country free.

As far as old friends, I still keep in touch with a close friend from my childhood, we grew up on the same block. We met when we were 8 and now we are both 55. We also have a small group that we went to elementary school with and we have get togehters a couple times a year. As a matter of fact, they all showed up at the surprise 50th birthday party my husband threw for me. He called the one I grew up with and she in turn contacted everyone else. What a surprise to come home from shopping with a neighbor and to walk into my home and see not only my family, but the old gang from school. What wonderful memories we all share.

How sad that Kate does NOT have those kinds of friendships in her life. And she has no one to blame but herself.

My opinion on Liz posting the pictures is that I don't think anyone should be posting publicly pictures of children. Private pictures to family or friends is one thing, but to post them for the public, especially children as well known as the G kids are, to me is wrong.

Thank you, localyocul My AdBlock had the comments blocked. Through trial and error, I finally figured out how to allow facebook comments.

Quick OT for a Sandy-related topic that's been a bee in my bonnet. I have felt strongly that the NYC marathon should not go off this Sunday and could not believe that the Mayor and Powers That Be stubbornly said that it was going to be held.
This, when at the very start of the race, Staten Island, has so far seen 19 dead. Numbers 18 and 19 being two young boys, brothers, whose bodies were pulled from flood waters just yesterday.
I just heard that the marathon has been canceled. Thank goodness. Every single resource that can possibly be squeezed out should go to the victims who have suffered so much and whose lives are forever changed.
There are areas that have Katrina-esque level catastrophe. Can you imagine a marathon going off in the 9th ward when the streets are still flooded, people have no food, water or sanitation and people are still missing?
Thanks for allowing my rant.

Absolutely NO offence whatsoever! My son served hand in hand with the Marines and they thought of themselves as ONE.

After my son's time in the military was over he went to a major university, was on the National Dean's List for all four years and graduated with top honors. He is happy and well and I couldn't be prouder of him. He's the funniest person I know and makes me (almost) pee my pants on a regular basis :)

Yeah, Tucker's Mom . . . I strongly agree. Didn't want to post it on here because I didn't know how it would be taken. But the Marathon should have been cancelled a long time ago. The people of New York, Staten Island, etc., need ALL of the resources available.

Aggiemom (137) . . . That Life Alert commercial cracks me up! I'm glad the lady with the oxygen up her nose will go without her beer to afford her Life Alert. Lol!

Regarding pit bulls, I believe that the breed doesn't determine the temperament. German Shepherds are a high-bite breed, but ours has never snapped or growled at anyone. Now, my sister-in-law and her husband have 2 pit bulls, and one of them has bitten their neighbor girl. We were recently at their house for a birthday party. The neighbor girl was there, which kind of surprised me. My SIL said that the girl's parents know they will put the dog away when she's at their house. BUT, there the dog was, walking around with all of the visitors! When I pointed that out, SIL said, "We'll, they trust us." One of the other guests said that he babysat for my SIL and Bro-IL once, and that same dog sat at the top of the stairs near the kids' bedrooms and growled every time the guy walked by the bottom of the stairs. He said he just hoped one of the kids didn't need him because that dog wasn't going to let him up those stairs. This kind of thing worries me a lot. But, to my in-laws, it's charming that the dog is so protective of his family. I see some red flags that I would address ASAP.
