Yesterday, Animal Planet star Tia Maria Torres spoke out in support of the breed, pointing to the nanny dog's good nature with children, and saying she would send Kate some educational DVDs on the dogs. Torres said aggressive and ignorant owners are responsible for attacks. Meanwhile, Animal Planet's web site has called the breed eager to please, faithful, enthusiastic friends and pleasant with children.
"Kate should know better than anyone what it's like to be vilified, what it’s like for people to say untruths about you," Torres said. "I would also like to know if Kate has had any personal experiences with pit bulls that she believes she is the authority on their behavior." Oh, snap!

Famous pit bull owners who also have children in the home include Michael J. Fox (who even gave voice to a pit bull determined to make it home to his family in the classic 1993 family film Homeward Bound), Jamie Foxx, and Alicia Silverstone, whose son Bear is 18 months old. Suggestion for Kate: Next time you have an issue with someone who is around your children, pick up the phone and call them and discuss it like grown adults. Leave Twitter and your fans out of it.

I don't think Kate was left alone with Kendra Wilkinson's son, obviously at least the film crew was there, and probably a nanny and set teacher, but it doesn't change the fact that his mommy left, was replaced by Kate, and he is way too young to understand it and feel comfortable about it. And it doesn't change the fact that no good mother leaves her child with a known child abuser whether a film crew is there or not. Kate is still presumably parenting him even if someone is watching.
Kate and Kendra look alike, IMO.
So, is ABC just doing a pilot or will there be a show? If a show, then this was a one time gig for Kate (I hope). So sad for the kids. Just when you think they may have a shot at a normal life, momster destroys that chance. I cannot imagine what ridicule those kids will face in school if this travesty airs.
Sounds to me that Jon tipped off Robert about the filming. How else would Robert know that the kids were told to keep quiet and were upset about strangers in their house for a week?

I've thought this for some time now, and I kind of doubt that he and Jon are even on speaking terms at this point. Robert's made it clear he has Kate's number, so anyone who has beans to spill can go directly to him.

Here's where Kate, once again, doesn't think ahead. I'm sure she's had conversations with the kids about why she estranged this that or the other various person. We have certain goals as a family, they stood in the way, etc.
So when the kids grow up and have their goals and Kate stands in the way, what does she think is going to happen to her?? These kids are learning that when someone upsets you, estrange them. Don't try to work it out don't try to just accept them for who you are, don't try to compromise on just limiting contact to neutral settings--just CUT THEM OFF GET RID OF THEM. Make no mistake.

It's only in extreme cases that victims this age do not defend, follow obey and love their abuser. In fact when a kid doesn't do this, you can strongly suspect one of two things--they are either making the abuse up, or the abuse was so horribly horrific that we're probably talking about serious and repeated sexual abuse or torture.

Kate ran the NYC 10K on Oct 13. Could be she went to LA right afterwards since Deanna also went.

So my guess would be that it was filmed anywhere from Oct.15 through the 18th. Kate was on twitter silence from Oct 13 until Oct 20-except for that one tweet on the 16th. On Oct 20, she tweeted:
"Just finished a long SUPER fun project...so good to be home but what a great time had by all involved!....A fun bright future lies ahead!"
So either the kids were pulled out of school for filming, or they filmed them after they got home from school. Kendra was spotted in Philly a couple of times during this period, so she could have gone there while the kids were in school.
So true admin, victims have to be coaxed and questioned to verbalize and confirm when abuse is suspected. The fear of outsiders finding out what really goes on behind the facade is ingrained in victims brains. My mother always would remind us never to tell anyone about "family" goings on, it's only now that I'm pretty vocal and even to this day do not divulge what REALLY went on. It was just understood, you don't say anything about anything.

Rumor of the blogosphere is that Kendra is filming a new reality show called "Mom swap" and that Kendra switched Mom jobs for a week with Kate Gosselin. I cannot believe that Kendra would leave Hank Jr with a "Mom" like Gosselin who beat her own kids with a wooden spoon and threw them in their cribs on a routine basis. She is also know to leave them in their cribs daily for four hour naps daily, just to get them out of her hair. I have always been impressed with the love Kendra has for Hank Jr. so I for one refuse to believe this horrible rumor.

If this new show is anything like the other wife swap shows, I don't think there was anything to worry about with Kendra's son being left with Kate. In the previous shows I watched, the husbands were present and involved in the wife/kids interactions and I'm hoping Hank was there with Hank Jr. when they were filming.
As for Kendra interacting with the Gosselin kids: I'm hoping they had FUN with someone who let them explore activities outside the kompound gates - you know, the kind of things kids normally do.
I hope this project never sees the light of day, though. The last thing Gosselin kids need is further exposure. I know I shouldn't be surprised, but Kate exploiting them this way makes me physically ill.

Because it could always be worse. That is what they think. At this age they have developed their coping skills (what not to say, hiding, how to behave around the abuser to stay under the radar), and if their situation changes they might not know HOW to avoid the wrath, rage, and hitting. So better to stick with what you know.
This is true of many many humans in bad situations. you cant just discard a known entity and replace it with a void. Once someone is willing to do THAT, they are in the deepest of psychological trouble - where nothingness is better than continuing with what you have. Sometimes it works out, where folks will just meet each day, grateful for the absence of pain, but sometimes it does NOT work, psychologically.
Dwindle, yes I was thinking this is how a lot of people react to situations that are bad for them. It's so easy to say to a victim of domestic violence, oh just leave. But some women are terrified to be alone or be with someone else, because it could always be worse. Better to just stick it out.
Even drug addicts are sometimes literally scared of a clean and sober lifestyle. It's not what they are used to. People don't push themselves to get out of bad situations and aim high because it's new and different and scary. Better to stay where they are.
Many human beings are very reliant on what they know, and fear change, even if change would be for the better.

You are right on. Milo/Mrs. Kravitz would have to be the worst neighbor. She has a complex. Don't know what it's called, but she seems to want to fix everything. If you state you have a problem, she feels compelled to offer a suggestions to fix. Tries to keep K in line with the what's for supper? etc tweets.
Admin, I have a suggestion.
If this Tramp Swap airs, and you feel the urge to recap it, might you do it without mentioning or focusing on Kate at all? "Hank Jr was fed, Hank Jr, went to the park, Hank Jr had a book read to him..." and at the end of it all "Jon's children acted happy to see their other parent return home..." stuff like that. Not feeding the monster at all, not describing her behaviors or anything else she so badly wants attention for.

What a confusing event this must have been for Kate's kids.
Firstly, Ashley had a very public fallout with their mother, leaving them in tears, making it clear she could no longer put up with Kate's abusive, diva behaviour, all in front of the camera. Those kids heard their mother being bad-mouthed on that RV episode by Ashley before she left, (scripted or not).
This Wife Swap show will likely play-up Kendra's easy-going parenting style while the kids are encouraged to be as demanding as possible to show how difficult Kate's single life is. On the contrary, Kate will show her masterminding skills by demanding Hank Sr. fall in to line and take his marching orders from her. This is reality of "reality" television.
So, in re-capping the possibility of this being true, (as hard as that is to fathom), we have: An ex-Playboy bunny with a pornographic sex-tape being shopped, taking care of a well-known famewhore's 8 unsuspecting, innocent children. Throw in a caregiver who quit working for Kate because she could no longer stand her, and you have some very confused, conflicted children. Can you not hear the kids saying, "I though Ashley was really mad at Mommy, why is she here with us now, for television?"
I would hazard to guess that Kate pulled her kids out of school to provide what the show needed. No contest, television exposure TRUMPS everything else. She has no boundaries, no qualms about further exposing and exploiting her children. She hides behind it being "work", but we know it is, and always will be about fame. There are no words.
So, where is Jon in this? Did he know? He had to have been told, these are his children. Could she have done this without his knowledge? Unlikely. There are three likely scenarios, he had no legal way of stopping her; he looked the other way and took the money to pay his electric bill; or saw nothing wrong with it and let it happen, no money exchanged. All sad thoughts.
If Jon took the money, why is Kate implying that he is having to "settle" up with the electric company? If he took a payout wouldn't he have had plenty to pay his bills?
And if he didn't take money, why is the kids' money all Kate's? Not that the kids' money should belong to anyone but the kids. But the sheeple act like what a pity it is Jon is such a deadbeat, when much of what Kate is doing is spending money the CHILDREN earned, which rightly should be half Jon's money too. I guess I'd rather be a deadbeat than make my 12 year old pay my electric bill
If people don't want Kate to be getting any attention shouldn't this blog just shut down? (Not my advice, btw, just following the logic through on another's suggestion.)

Let's see, Drama Mama gets mad because a pic shows up on twitter of one of HER children with a pit bull while with dad and his gf. It's not about the dog, t's about the gf and she snidely takes to twiiter to let her displeasure be known.
OTOH, she has no problem leaving her children for a week, in the company of many strangers to be FILMED while she is 3,000 miles away having her ego stroked doing same. The children are sworn to silence, and their dad is not allowed on property ever, so he could not even be there fr back up. Oh right, the former, still loved yet hardly seen in over a year, nanny, 22 yrs old, is brought back as a security blanket.
I was so hoping the rumors were not true; this whole sordid scenario is just so sad. And sadder is the realization that Kate Gosselin now understands that she has no media career without pimping out her children. Is there a lower list than Z?

Jumping in, I think you have a good likely scenario. We all know from watching Ms Kreider on film, hearing from Jodi and Kevin and others how difficult it was to get usable film of Ms Kreider. That was when TLC was trying to support a loving family storyline. For Tramp Swap (love that name!) I speculate the producers will enjoy documenting grouchy and difficult Ms Kreider. If it ever sees the light of day.
I wonder who is going to play the spouse/father/other parent/guardian role in this episode? Jon's not allowed on the property, so could they be casting Ashley as the nanny/caregiver to fill the role? Not trying to start an internet rumor, but can't help but wonder. I suppose it could just as easily be Steve or Jaime.

She'd have 'em back in church, playing instruments and singing and happy happy happy working together. Kate would back in church too, dressing ultra conservatively and they all could go to another quiverfull family in the mountains and build that family 2 indoor bathrooms. Then she'd have to participate in the demantling of an outhouse. THAT I'd watch.

Yesterday afternoon I took some chicken wings out of the fridge to make for supper. I bought them on Monday. While I was rinsing them I noticed they smelled slightly 'off'. So I triple bagged them and took them out to the garbage bin then came in and bleached down everything in the kitchen including the fridge...Everything but my coffee cup. I never thought of it.
Last night while reading about the Kate/Kendra rumor I started to feel sick to my stomach. I did throw up a couple of times during the night and I've made a few hasty trips to the bathroom today - if you know what I mean haha.
Anyway, now I don't know if I had/have a mild case of salmonella poisoning from traces on the coffee cup or if Kate is still making me sick like she always has. It's the same loathing nausea I always get when I read about her so same difference. This time I really did vomit though.
Feeling much better now, well enough to resume snark.

Iwana says he worked in tv for a long time years ago and knows a lot, has connections, etc. He also got into it with Kate's sheeple, Paige, a 19? yr old Canadian, that night about the election here in the US. He was quite wound up. lol

I, too, read "The Worst Hard Time". It was so sad in parts and I did take a lot of breaks. The Dust Bowl is difficult to imagine and surprisingly people did survive to tell about it. Love the PBS specials! Great television.

The Wife Swap shows I watched years ago seemed to take place over no more than 3-4 days tops, so that timeline makes sense. Day 1, film show opening and meet the kids, Day 2, film activities with the family, Day 3, film w/kids in the AM, then the closing and it's over.
The reports of Kate at the nightclub make sense in the storyline. Kate, swapping places with mom, Kendra, goes clubbing with her friends one night (which Kendra has been filmed doing on her own show). I'm sure Kate loved that part!
Hey Deanna, if it's so easy for everyone you know to find a job, how about Kate finding one that, for once, doesn't involve exploiting her kids! No filming the kids, no mentioning them, no media about them - just Kate all by herself.

I vote for slight food poisoning. I read people have 'bad' food they don't even know about- like lunch meat, cheese, slime from other foods you can't see etc that can make you a little off and you hardly know it- but this sounds worse- so likely the chicken- hard to tell if you caught it all with your bleach. I hope that everyone on the coast is okay after this latest storm. Thank goodness we got nothing except some wind. Forecast had been for 2 to 5 inches with a mixture of ice pellets, so I was prepared for a school delay and slippery roads today. Nothing. Not a drop of rain or a snow flake. One of these days it's going to be the story of the boy who cried wolf. There will be an announcement of a big one coming, nobody is going to believe it and therefore will be unprepared for it.
I was thinking about something regarding the kids and their school activities and what Kate allows them to do and their social involvement with their peers. Will she allow the twins to go with their classmates on the three-day overnight annual trip next year, or will she send a nanny along with them? One day field trips are one thing; an overnight outing is another thing, especially when it involved a long bus ride. May the girls go to the MS dances (Sixth Grade is included in this), or will there be an excuse? With each passing year, the kids will no longer want to do things exclusively within their family, and the twins are at that age right now. She's going to have to cut the cord sooner or later with the girls, and that time is fast approaching.

I think Long Island got your predicted weather. Our 1-3 inches of rain, turned into 6 inches of heavy wet snow. My power went off for 10 hours. Schools were closed, but the roads are okay now. Many people who just got their power back on, lost it again. I'm just thankful that again all I lost was power.
I hope Jane was as lucky as I was, and hope she'll check in soon.

Duped - Yes unfortunately sometimes it's too late to know until the day after. Last month we had a huge recall on meat across Canada from a meat packing plant that had to be shut down due to a strain of e. coli traced back to it. It was quite frightening.

Yesterday afternoon I took some chicken wings out of the fridge to make for supper. I bought them on Monday. While I was rinsing them I noticed they smelled slightly 'off'. So I triple bagged them and took them out to the garbage bin then came in and bleached down everything in the kitchen including the fridge...Everything but my coffee cup. I never thought of it.
Anyway, now I don't know if I had/have a mild case of salmonella poisoning from traces on the coffee cup or if Kate is still making me sick like she always has. It's the same loathing nausea I always get when I read about her so same difference. This time I really did vomit though.
Thank you. Even though it could be Kate, if raw chicken is involved you can't be too careful. DH thinks I go way overboard after handling raw meat. I do the same thing. Those little buggers are sneaky. Glad your'e better.

Three wks ago, I had THE MOTHER of ALL STOMACH BUGS. omg, is all I can say. I am *still* eating very lightly, and soup is still a major staple. I watched Dr. Phil today...I know, I know, but the subject was Maternal Narcissism. The show fit Kate to a tee. They talked to a doctor who wrote a book called "Will I Ever Be Good Enough" about children who grew up with and are suffering the consequences of such mothers. It scared the shit out of me, quite frankly. These mothers have absolutely NO empathy for their children. Sound familiar? I don't know if they have full episodes of Dr. Phil on line, but if they do I highly recommend a viewing.

Kate Gosselin is trying to put her children back on TV in her never-ending quest for fame and Jon Gosselin is powerless to stop her because he doesn't have enough money, the author of a controversial Gosselin book tells RadarOnline.com exclusively.
Robert Hoffman, who wrote the e-book, Kate Gosselin: How She Fooled The World, says that Kate left her children "scared and very confused" at home with Kendra Wilkinson for a week as part of a new reality show with the working title Mom Swap, as RadarOnline.com reported earlier.
"It's a shame that the one Gosselin parent who is actually concerned about the wellbeing of their children doesn't have the financial means to stop the other one, who's only mission in life appears to be trying to get herself back on TV," Hoffman told Radar in a new interview.
Hoffman, whose book was largely derived from material he says was found on Kate's discarded computer hard drive, charges that Kate's new actions are harmful to the children and points out that Kendra tried to market her own sex tape (a story first reported by RadarOnline).
He says Mom Swap is a desperate attempt by Kate to gain personal fame by using her children.
"Of course nobody wants to see her and she knows that, so she hides behind her children who are becoming more depressed and emotionally damaged by the day," Hoffman charged to Radar.
"The Gosselin children need an advocate to protect them from their mother. They want and deserve a normal life and to be protected from further exploitation."
In his e-book, Hoffman reprinted numerous emails of Kate attempting to obtain free goods and services as a result of her fame.
RadarOnline was able to verify that many of the emails in the book were genuine and could not prove that any were not.
The author covered Jon and Kate at the height of their TV and pop culture infamy and became pals with Jon. He says he has not discussed the new situation with Jon.
"I haven't spoken to Jon about it but my experience with him is that he doesn't want his kids to be on television again," Hoffman told Radar.

Jon Gosselin has admitted that he is broke and previously told Star magazine his financial problems were so bad he struggled to pay his rent because he has to pay child support. (Kate shot back that as of April she had relieved him of his obligation to pay child support.)
Kate IS desperate to return to TV, one source close to her told Radar, backing up Hoffman's claims that she badly misses the spotlight.
"She didn't get invited back to Dancing with the Stars for the all-star season and she has contacted various people looking for a new show," the source told Radar.
Did Deanna get paid to "gossip" about Kate?

Many, many of us had asked you for a "Doggie Thread", for quite a while now. I just never thought it would appear under such circumstances-- i.e. Kate's ignorance.
Looks like we were right in guessing Kendra Wilkinson for the potential reality show. I say "WE", because I don't believe I was the very 1st person to post Kendra's name on this Blog... and several others had speculated the same on Twitter, minutes after my comment was published here. My, how far will these "Stahs" sink? Including their little children in the quest for fame as well? Very saddening.
What's next? Kate Gosselin does a WWF Celeb-Wrestling gig? God, I shouldn't give her any ideas... but I'd love to see Jersey Shore's 'J-WoWW' kick the crap outta' Kate!

People are sick. Was watching our local news, the teaser for the next segment concerned a TX judge. This guy is on tape beating his daughter. He just got his seat back on the bench. He was swearing and beating her with a belt. I had to turn away. Now going to get a tissue.

Robert may not have the book ready to go back on the market quite yet, but I commend him for continuing to get the information out there about Kate's exploitation attempts and the status of the kids! I love it that each time they run an article Radar Online includes more verification that the book is TRUE!
