Veteran's Day

On this special day, we honor veteran Lieutenant Colonel Michael Strobl, our military parents, siblings and friends, and all those who served.

Odds are you don't know the name Michael Strobl. But you may have heard of the essay he wrote, A Marine's Journey Home, which was subsequently turned into the moving film Taking Chance. Occasionally, there are "reality" stories that should be told. This was one of them.

Wrote Strobl: "I didn't know how to express my sympathy for their loss and my gratitude for their sacrifice. Now, however, they were repeatedly thanking me for bringing their son home and for my service. I was humbled beyond words. I told them that I had some of his things and asked if we could find a quiet place. The five of us ended up in what appeared to be a computer lab -- not what I had envisioned for this occasion.

After we had arranged five chairs around a small table, I told them about our trip. I told them how, at every step, Chance was treated with respect, dignity, and honor. I told them about the staff at Dover and all the folks at Northwest Airlines. I tried to convey how the entire nation -- from Dover to Philadelphia to Minneapolis to Billings and Riverton -- expressed grief and sympathy over their loss."

Taking Chance is available around the web including on Netflix, Amazon, and HBOgo.

I watched this movie for a second time last week. Cried some more.
History Channel has some specials on today about the Vietnam War. Hard hard hard to watch.
God bless all our military, but especially our Veterans today!

I cant watch it. One of my very best friends' brother died in an IED in Afghanistan while I was deployed. That's when the war became real to me, and personal. He was 20 years old. So that movie is too close to home. It's nice the rest of you enjoy it for what it represents. I'll watch one day, years from now.

Still waiting for the groomer to call me to pick up my dog. I think I am having separation anxiety. Maybe I should just drop by the shop...

Wonderful picture, Dmasy. Thank you. I had a number of family members in the military, mostly uncles and a couple cousins. For whatever reason, my extended family never kept those pictures, or lost them. And it's sad because I would like to have them to show my grandsons to help then understand these special holidays and that they are related to some that gave their ultimate sacrifice for this great country.

There was the media blackout of the case but I managed to read Steven Williams' book "Invisible Darkness.' Horrific, and yes, narcissistic personality among other things . Amazing she is now free.

LoveMyGrandsons & Kate is a Twit: I guess I have it mixed up- Remembrance Day I thought was for the dead mainly of WW1, Armistice Day. We don't have Memorial Day... confusing! But thanks for the quotation and I agree, remember both living and dead on both days.

I will have to watch more 'Taking Chance' clips today.that one gave me the chills in a reverent kind of way. "Saving Private Ryan" is another excellent war film. We went with my WW2 veteran neighbor who vouched for its realism of the brutality of war.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Many thanks to our Veterans who fought for or gave their life for our country! The ones no longer with us-my grandpa was Navy in WWII, my dad in the Air Force, Father in Law also Navy in WWII, plus many uncles and distant relatives from all sides of the family. My brother in law is retired pilot from Navy, and most recently very proud of my nephew who is a 2nd Lt. in the Air Force (ROTC).

I went to his graduation and "pining" and was so moved by the young generation of future officers. Most of his graduating class were only 12 years old when 9-11 happened and they volunteered knowing they would probably go to war. It was a good thing the ceremony was outside and I had on sunglasses because I secretly bawled through the whole thing!

Today our entire church service was a Veteran's Day theme. It was not a Memorial Day service - we did that in May. We celebrated the ones who served/serve in peacetime and in wartime. Only 2 of the congregation there today were veterasn, but one High School youth is pre-enlisted in the Marines. The military is a huge deal in this small town.

Hats off to our exceptional military, past, present and future!

No veterans in my family. The last one who served was my mother's father who wore a Canadian uniform in WWI and died as a result of mustard gas poisoning. My mom was 2 years old when he died and had no memories of him. My father never served and my brother was an F4
during VietNam - medical deferment (never thought flat feet were a problem, but the Army thought they were) and student deferment.

I did not grow up with military on the mind. I grew up not thinking of it at all. But now....
now I have respect and nothing short of awe.

I think the Farrah Fawcett script was kept as close to to the original story as possible. The character DD certainly did not care if her kids had fathers; she just wanted that boyfriend for herself and he did not want children. The child actress who played the daughter who was shot and testified was also superb.

I think FF did an amazing job in this film ( as well as Burning Bed and Extremities)She really was talented.

Also, my organization (dogs only) can be contacted at www.therapydog.info to request a visit. We serve most of MA. I've noticed this more and more, Kate is on an endless quest to pit the children against each other. More and more she alienates them from each other, pits one or two or more against the other. Singles out one or two revolving goldens. I'm not sure what the pathology is behind this, if I had to guess it would be that constant states of confusion are easier for a narcissist to manage than kids that are firm and convicted in how they feel.

Admin, my mother used to pit me and my siblings against each other. Whoever she was mad at was the target. Then the siblings would get in on it to get on my mother's good side. She had her favorites and never hesitated to show each one of us who her favorites were.

She did this as far back as I can remember up until she died. It's sad to say, but all of us siblings get along much better since she is gone. I don't mean to sound heartless, but it's just the way it is.

I think a big role in the adoption of the kids was that they were both handicapped and thus less likely to find homes and stay together. But I see your point, Admin.

This case reminds me of Susan Smith killing her boys by driving the car into a lake and then getting out herself, also for some man.

Also, has anyone read or seen 'The Bad Seed?' It's about a murderer whose daughter is fine but who then discovers the 'bad seed ' skipped a generation and her little girl is a murderer of a few people already. Chilling.

I found that very odd too.

It makes you wonder what or where was the rest of Diane's family? You would think they'd be willing to adopt the two remaining children... Unless they are all as wacked-out as Diane. What a strange case this was/is.

It's really interesting you should say this, because just yesterday my brother and I were talking about our Mother's favorite 'game'.....''let's you two fight''. Now I wonder if that 'game' is yet another sign of an abusive parent, or is it another sign of mental illness? (We have always known that our mother was certifiably insane, and it was simply our bad fortune that she never came to the attention of those who could/would actually do anything about it.)

LoveMyGrandsons said... 52

Auntie Ann, I've always thought that, too, about the adoption of Diane Downs children. Why didn't the father or any other relatives step up to adopt them? I always thought it was a little strange that they were adopted by the DA that prosecuted their mother. But obviously he and his wife loved them, and from what I read, provided a loving home and the kids are happy.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said... 53

I think pitting kids against each other is emotional abuse. The sabatoge of relationships among siblings can extend into adulthood long after the parent who did it is gone.

LaLaLandNoMore said... 54

I saw the show about Diane Downs and found it extremely interesting how the interviewed psychiatrist talked about what is involved in the sociopath being #1, narcissistic. She listed two other traits as well, but the first one hit me from what we have talked about over and over on this blog. I, too, wondered about the attorney adopting two of the children and wondered why he and his wife didn't take the baby (Becky) so all the children could be together?

I saw the movie, Small Sacrifices, and it haunted me for years. It's still chilling hearing the song Diane played while she killed her children. No man, in my opinion, would be worth dumping your children. No way, no how! What kind of man would expect that of a mother? We all know the answer to that. Being a narcissist is a horrible trait for anyone to have, but especially for a parent.

It also puts them in competition to "make mommy love me."
That scene of Mady comforting her at the skyjump was heartbreaking.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said... 56

Sometimes it is mental illness but sometimes I think some parents just do it because they are bored.

readerlady said... 57

Ohhh, "The Bad Seed". Loved that movie. Patty McCormack was chilling as Rhoda, the "bad seed". And she fits into the theme of the blog, too, as a former child star. She's in her late 60's now and is still a respected actress. She's also one who grew up without any personal problems, although she had some trouble transitioning her career.

KK has always pitted the kids against each other. Always insisting they go in birth order and putting poor little Joel last, insisting on calling Cara the oldest even tho she knew it upset Mady, pitting the girls against the boys. That's one reason I have a hard time believing that those kids will always rely on each other and have each other's backs. I hope they will, but I think they've been set up to the point where they won't.

LaLaLandNoMore said... 58

I saw "The Bad Seed" years ago on TCM. It stars Patty McCormack. She was great in the role, but what a scary girl she played. The mother was so sweet, and was in such denial until the evidence slapped her in the face. I didn't like Patty after seeing that movie, until I saw her recently in another movie, All Mine to Give. Quite a different part for her. Pretty child.

Wasn't that the scariest movie? Did you also read the book by Wm March? It was so suspenseful and also scary to think this does happen in 'real life' I saw the film as a child and it was very haunting. Glad someone else remembers it! Wish they made more films like this and fewer slasher ones. Way more truly chilling. Rhoda was perfectly played by Patty McCormack- she was on a soap iirc?

LoveMyGrandsons said... 61

Admin #56, I think some parents do it just because they have a mean streak in them and they love the control over their children. To see them fight one another for her approval gives that type of mother a high, I think. Is it some type of illness? I guess I have to yes, to a certain extent. Being a mother and grandmother, I cannot imagine doing anything so cruel so you'd have to be nuts. Does that make sense?

Unknown said... 62

I think that abused children do whatever helps them get through the abuse. There were 6 of us, 7 years between me (the oldest) and my brother (the only boy). In our case, even though we often fought w/each other, we banded together and had each other's backs against our parents.

I don't know what the Gosselin children will do, but I have hope that since they have one parent that isn't abusive (unlike us) as they get older, they will more clearly see KK as the emotionally crippled, mentally disturbed, abusive person she is.....which is what my siblings and I did. (sorry about the run on sentence)

I googled Diane Downs and came across two very interesting sites. This one also said that she had had an abortion, and also had been a surrogate mother. Also, that of the surviving children, only Christie is the biological daughter of Steve Downs.

http://crime.about.com/od/female_offenders/a/Diane-Downs.htm

This site has several articles, and one of the articles(dated June 23, 1991 -- Child killer Downs makes legal, illegal attempts to gain freedom) state that Steve Downs relinquished his parental rights so that the 2 surviving children could be adopted. It also said that she wrote a book, which I wasn't aware of.

Dependent personality disorder (DPD)She also a says she was molested as a child. I wonder how her symptoms vary from the others discussed? To me she seemed similarly detached and unemotional about murdering her children and also blames a fake suspect like Diane did. Motive: another man who did not want kids.

Formerly Duped said... 67

They may not be scheming to keep the tups off kilter, fearful, and on their toes, but by selectively and unpredictably enforcing "rules" that is the end result.

I believe there are deeper psychological forces at work. Kate has stated that she wants to keep her children babies as long as possible. To me that means she wants to keep them dependent on her. By creating a house of OCD tension with no regard to their emotional growth or well being, and by being unpredictable and by enforcing rules according to her moods, alternately showing them love and coldness, permissiveness and punishnment for the same behaviors, the result is making them emotionally attached to her in an unhealthy way. There are many psych studies that show this. Being cruel all the time will result in a disconnect between children and parents, being overly permissive with do the same thing. But the way to keep your children emotionally tied to you for life is by doing exactly what Kate is doing by creating a volatile, unpredictable and confusing emotional environment for them. When Kate when apeshit over the gum, Collin felt for a few minutes that she held his life in her hands, so to speak, she was the one who decided the fate of his comfort item. He was being drastically punished for chewing gum, which he has been allowed to do before. Then you see her in other shows solicitously packing the kids' comfort items, as if she had great regard for their emotional security. This has to be confusing for a child and the end result is having children who are confused by everything in life, can't trust their own impulses and are abnormally attached to the mother to tell them what is right and wrong for them to do, because the rules kept changing on them in early childhood according to her WHIMS. When this is all they know, the patterns will be carried to adulthood and they will look to her without trusting themselves, and they won't understand why they are doing that. Has anyone heard of Pavlov's dogs?

LaLa and Formerly -- I love horror movies, but not the slasher/gasher/basher types. I like the suspense horror films, the classics starring performers like Boris Karloff and Vincent Price and Lon Chaney Jr. I think the scariest movie I ever saw, though, and it wasn't supposed to be a horror movie, was "Night of the Hunter" with Robert Mitchum. When he's chasing Lillian Gish and the children, and shouting those Bible verses, it scared the bejeebers out of me. I slept with the lights on for a couple of nights, LOL.

I don't know about McCormack being on a soap, Formerly, but she was in "The Ropers" (short-lived spin-off of "Three's Company") and makes a lot of guest appearances on series TV. Last one I remember seeing her in was "Supernatural" earlier this year. I think she does a lot of theatre too. She originated the role of Rhoda on Broadway, IIRC. I've read the book, or maybe it was the print version of the stage play, I don't remember for sure. It's been a long time.

It's interesting to hear locals talking about Karla Homolka. I was in Canada around the time of the trial, attending a cat show, and remember reading about it in the local paper. I always tried to get a copy of a local paper when I went to the shows. Especially in Canada. Told me a lot about the area.

What does that have to do with Kate? It's no relation, as far as I know, and it happened five years ago. I knew the family that was murdered. He's sitting in prison, with no parole ever. He tried appeals, and the last I heard, his recent one was put on hold.

readerlady, I love the suspenseful horror movies, too. I will not watch the gory slasher ones. One of my faves is the very first Halloween. Although there were some gory scenes, there were not many and they didn't focus on the gore. It was more of Michael's slow, determined walk towards his victims. I first saw that movie when I was 19 and when I watched a few weeks ago, it still scared the heck out of me. Good suspenseful horror movies are hard to find these days. If you ever get a chance, check out Rose Red. That's another good one that is not gorey.

I was horrified, and asked him why on earth he was allowing them to watch. My oldest said...''Oh mommy, that man is tacky, rude, mean and nasty!'' Years and years later, when something is so bad we're at a loss for words, one of us will say...''that is so tacky, rude, mean and nasty!'' I agree with you that Robert Mitchum was really frightening, especially since my ex looked enough like him that he could have been his son!

He's extremely convincing... conniving... grifty... etc., etc., etc. The similarites are uncanny really. Everyone he met fell for the game he was running, up until these stints in jail. His family knew better.

Quote from the Diane Downs expert testifying in the case, I assume this was pulled from actual transcripts:

"As a psychiatrist it is my professional opinion that Diane Down's personality disorder qualifies her as a dangerous offender. She is a sociopath, an anti-social personality without any concern for the rights of others. She's a brilliant mind with no conscious to guide it, a narcissist who sees herself as the center of everything, who will get what she wants no matter what means she has to employ no matter who or what stands in her way. She's not able to have or understand love."

I just returned (2 hours ago) from a week's trip to Washington DC. (I live on the west coast.) Man, those flights are getting tougher as I get older.

I went to the WWII memorial. Impressive and humbling at the same time. I asked an elderly person with a Navy cap if I could help him and he asked if I would take his picture in front of the Pacific Theater side of the memorial. He then pointed to the operations (battles) he took part in years ago.

At the American History Museum (Smithsonian), there were several men from WWII were there. They were part of the Honor Flight. For those who are not familiar with Honor Flight its an organization that pays 100% of a WWII vet's expenses and a companion to go the DC to visit the WWII memorial and other WWII related exhibits. I was sitting on a bench near the elevator when the vets w/their attendants came off the elevator. I self-appointed myself as their personal tour guide. Showing them where the WWII exhibit was. Everyone thanked me, when it was I who should have been thanking them.

Went to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The precise 21 steps never changing a step or action. Everyone who was there was I was, never said a word. There was a silent sense of respect for the fallen.

I have many more stories of my week, but I will end my post with this one. For the first time I went to the Women in Service Memorial. Years ago my mother-in-law donated money for the building of memorial in her name (LT in WWII) anD myself (SGT Vietnam era). I am so happy to see that servicewomen have our own memorial and museum.

Okay, one more comment, google Honor Flight and learn about this wonderful organization.

Which begs the question does paper (or rather a paper towel) make the fish taste better, or is it just trendy. Or sadly, she had Katherine over to cook for her, as she only shows a table for one with any food on it. Does anyone really say within the confines of home that they are "prepping" dinner. She watches too much Top Chef, speaking of which I think the redemption comes on tonight as does I think Sister Wives. There are stories ALL over the net about Rachel Ray being a total tool. It's practically written into her Wikipedia entry now that it's become such a known fact lol. Here is one that's kinda funny:

@mscatie @mylilabbster @Kateplusmy8 Yep...she said she has a show she developed! She's not against dating...just not her MAIN focus!

I almost feel sorry for FUFK. She really lives in her own little fantasy world and thinks that she knows everything about Kate, her feelings, ambitions, and what goes on in Kate's life all the time. If Kate were to say "enough is enough," Milo could become dangerous. She's just too bizarre to be playing with a full deck. Being ignored could trigger behavior that might have terrible consequences.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said... 156

When no one wants to date you eventually you stop focusing so much on it.

It would be like focusing on a jar of cookies that you can't get open. It gets old so you let it go and forget about them.

Did I miss something? Did Kate say she developed a dating show?

Fish En papillote - can you imagine if Kate had called it by this name rather than fish in paper? Her enablers would absolutely swoon.

It is really very easy to prepare. It's something I would make for a quick and easy to prepare meal. It's just fish and veggies wrapped in parchment paper and baked in the oven served with rice.

I think Kate is BS-ing big time about her "dinner party".

I also think that it's one of two things.

1. It's her & Steve.
2. It's just her & she showing off to her sheep.

I mean if she has friends over when not snap a photo of them eating?

I mean she took a photo of Jamie so I'm sure Deanna won't mind.

Have never been to the AMT. Do you think the show is better?

----------------

Oh, absolutely. No question about it. It's really quite professionally done. Worth seeing. I drove past yesterday and the parking lot was full. A Christmas show before Thanksgiving, though, is really just not right

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

My mom always has everyone over the day after Thanksgiving but today said it would be Saturday instead of Friday. My sister and her husband bought a ticket for her to go with them to the Christmas show at AMT on Black Friday. They went last year and said it was excellent. I saw Rick Springfield there a few years ago and we were maybe a dozen seats from the stage. He walked across the tops of the seats right by us. The venue is excellent!

How sad that Kate affords her "friends" more privacy than she does her own children.

That is, if there are really any "friends" there with Kate.

There is a "J/K" clearly written on the paper....Katherine the chef's note that it is Jon and Kates. KK states "Kate's dinner" in quotes....it's Katherine's dinner, but KK abbreviates it to Kate to make those that can't put 2 plus 2 together assume it is HER dinner. She did nothing for this affair but take the credit.

So by 'prepping for dinner' Kate meant she had to have a nap, adjust her good bra, put on her false eyelashes and find something slutty to wear before the guests arrived. It makes sense now.

I'm finally watching the 20/20 episode. I love that they tracked down the young reporter who first interviewed Diane Downs, that infamous interview where Diane said people say she was lucky but she didn't feel lucky because she couldn't tie her shoes for 2 months, and her kids were lucky that she wasn't shot. The reporter only looked about 28 years old. The look on her face was "oh crap" what is happening here, she's a murderer! What an interview to snag for someone so young.

Notice also the careful wording. She never said in that tweet that SHE made it.

The chef did and took the pic for her.

===============

I mentioned before this dropping of pronouns as a cover she uses. I got the idea from a friend of mine. I was afraid to say what made me notice it because I didn't want to offend anyone (and still don't). My friend is gay, and he told me once to watch when someone drops the pronouns when speaking of their significant other. It's a way of disguising one's orientation, he said. (Don't jump on me. That's coming from him, not from me.)

Kate isn't disguising that, but she IS disguising who is doing the work. She's using the same technique. Very rarely does she ever say that SHE does any work. She just jumps right to the verb. And as someone pointed out, Kate sure likes to use the word *I*. If she ain't using it, she's hiding something....

By the way, hello, Aggies out there. I've been in Texas doing some speaking (will avoid saying where), but my hostess and her family were BIG TIME Aggie fans. I don't really follow football, but they made it seem so much fun. I enjoyed the Aggies' big victory yesterday. Congrats! Also, my hostess described herself as "an Aggie Mom" which made me think of our aggiemom. She said that Aggie Moms meet in various places, and she was fortunate enough to find one that meets in a brewery. Shades of Rumspringa! LOL.

Beautiful, historic, hospitable state, but also glad to be home.

Happy birthday, chef!

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said... 174

By the way Rebecca's (youngest Downs child) adoptive parents were absolute saints. They were so protective of her yet honest.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said... 175

Virginia yes spot on. The passive tense or dropping of pronouns is also a little trick journalists use when they are trying to tell the story without implicating anyone.

I've noticed Kate does this all the time. Kate does NOT miss an opportunity to say *I* made dinner or *I* did this or *I* am with the kids. When she drops the I it's very obvious.

It's so funny she is so careful not to lie about this when she's told a thousand other lies.

She is left-handed, but it doesn't matter. All glasses should be to the right of the plate.

Happy Veteran's Day to all our military members (active and retired) and their families. Many thanks for all you have done. I called my oldest daughter today and personally thanked her wounded vet boyfriend for his service. They were going out to dinner tonight in the North End of Boston for their one year anniversary. Yummy Italian food in the North End.

Chefsummer...Happy Birthday! Enjoy some Rumspringas for us all.

Re the idiotic tweet from a stupid sheeple about detangling their child's hair. Both of my daughters have very curly hair. Johnson & Johnson spray detangler worked like a charm. Never a problem. These sheeple need to get their heads out of Kate's ass and join the real world. And to think they are raising children. Can't imagine them in a real crisis.

Poisson en Papillote...Such a simple dish to make. I make it often with a nice piece of cod from my local fish market but I throw mine on the grill. Kate is such a tool.

Auntie Ann -- I was the one who posted the info about Rachael Ray's donation. It was more than $500,000. She donated that plus 4 tons of wet and dry food to the ASPCA temporary shelters in New York and $100,000 and food to the people food pantries set up to help Sandy victims. That's not the first time, either. All the proceeds from her pet food line goes to animal charities. She may be a narcissist, but at least she has a heart and a conscience and talent. She worked her butt off to get where she is. I sound like I'm a Rachael Ray fan. I'm not, particularly. I like her in small doses, but she wears me out!

Capecodmama -- I agree with you about J&J detangler. I have very fine, very straight hair and the least breeze tangles it into knots. J&J detangler works like a charm.

This one was down and into the food, which is what anyone with a rudimentary understanding of food photography (i.e. a professional chef) would know to do, and practice out of habit.

Noticed a few things about the picture, one is that there only appears to be one other plate on the table to the right, but paper to the left, so perhaps it's the angle and she has 2 guests? There's not one item down the table, nothing set up for anyone to dine. So either she doesn't have the kids or they just don't rate eating with company!

Two, while I don't like the looks of mahogany rice, she definitely is reading here, she 'set' the shot up, instead of helicoptering over it on her kitchen counter. One of the better pictures she's published of food!

Dropping the pronouns, yes, common avoidance tactic. Saying something without giving actual intimate details, easy to fool people, lead them into thinking what you want them to. She's a master of it and the sheeple fall for it every time!

Koop dedoo - I think I checked them out once, but right now I'm spending my entire life with Great Danes at explore.org. There's 6 giant puppies who are almost 5 months old, 8 3-week- olds who I watched being born (24/7 live cam), and another litter of 8 who are about a week old (we only get to see occasional glimpses of them so far). Plus a lot of bigger dogs who are in training or visiting. They're being trained as service dogs for people (veterans have preference) with balance issues who need a big sturdy dog. It's an amazing farm (VERY far removed from puppy-mill). Point being, I can't read a book, watch a movie, sleep or much of anything else. Addiction is painful. :-) I've never had a dog and I've never wanted one so badly in my life. Oh well. Oh, and explore.org has a LOT of fascinating live cameras of other animals, and a lot of interesting info on other things.

Whenever I click on Kate's twitter on the far right to view the tweets that she is responding to it won't let me and than goes to the "No replies" and not "All".

Has this happened to anyone else and how can else can I view the tweets she responds to.

If you are asking what I think you're asking, when you click on All, the no replies turns blue, which means you're now on All. Then, in order to read what she's responding to, click on expand, and you will see what she is responding to.

That pic Kate tweeted of that slop of a meal definitely was different than the rest she usually takes. Nice lighting, good angle... Wonder what the real story behind that was?

Has anyone googled parchment paper to figure out what that JK symbol on it was? I'll see if I can find out. I'm curious.

My ex husband stole my car and totalled it Saturday night. Of course he walked away without a scratch. I wonder how much Kate would hate Jon for doing something like that?

My impression: she did not take that picture nor cook that meal. Also, that does not even look like a table setting she would do. All fake. Katherine set that all up. Not sure what the J/K initials were about, but the "J" does not necessarily mean Jon. It could be that "J" and Kate wanted that meal prepared by Katherine. Gawd, she is such a LIAR. Anyone familiar with Katherine's menus/recipes?

Yes kart, because you hug and kiss them they know you love them. That's the true measure of love. And because you announce it to the world, that must mean you, and only you loves their kids. Did the nanny bring them up to your room this morning for these supposed hugs and kisses? Did the chef pack them up some of the leftovers from the meal she "prepped" yesterday? Is mommy grateful the kiddies are gone today so you can sleep off your hangover?

Don't Kate's kids have the day off from school? Everyone here is off and banks are closed and no mail delivery. Admin...I saw the reflection in the plate. She definitely had someone there cooking. Is she on defense mode again? Sounds like rainbows and unicorn my life is so great tweets again. I also wonder about the "early exposure" of the twat swap show and if the negative responses will get it canned before it sees the light of day. This would only make Kate more pissed and hate Robert even more!
