Much like last year when Kate made some "worst of" lists, on one of them even being compared to Gadhafi, she's popping up again on 2012 lists.
Time Magazine put her in their "bad year" category opposite Kate Middleton in the good year column, blasting Kate for being fired from Coupon Cabin. Ha.
Hi all! Just stopping in to wish everyone the greatest peace in the new year. Many thanks to Admin and the great posters here - it's been fun and educational to read posts about kart, books, pain and sleep therapies that work for others, TV shows which were uplifting to watch and so many other interesting topics...
1. I have to say I can't figure out the clue to the 'tell' about sameo's "real identity". And I'm quite happy to say I couldn't care less who she/he is. I got a chuckle out of her disclaimer "you have no idea who I am" - well duh. Do you think we'd expect you to say anything else? It was just a matter of time when you'd make that statement....
2. It seems sameo, despite her 'respectful' approach, is generating a lot of chatter here tonight. I have to wonder if that is her purpose.... the desire for attention is a powerful addiction.
So, done with sameo/regular poster/troll/sheeple/kart/kart minion/whoever/whomever.... on to better conversations!
Trending with the weather conversation, we got 8 inches of fluffy white snow today. I made it to the grocery store this morning before it started and got a couple of things. Hit up the library, got a couple of books (just crime novels - nothing of great literary value) and have been sitting in front of the fire with a couple of quilts.
I'm following the knee pain conversations - my ortho told me I need a replacement based on xray, but I don't have any pain when I accomodate my activites. Don't even need tylenol. My problem is swelling when standing too long (ie, shopping at Costco on those hard cement floors, standing at a neighbors driveway to chat a while). Otherwise I do pretty well. We'll looking for a single story house, now we're in a two story. Stairs are a bitch, I'm afraid I'm going to fall going down.
I do know, as a nurse, that surgery should be the very last resort. I'm glad to hear the injections do help some of you. At some point in the future I may need those. Good to know what other folks experience... thanks!
LancasterCountyMom said... 165 ...He damaged his meniscus & the doctor operated on it a few years ago to "smooth it out" which was supposed to help & disappointingly did nothing. He is on his feet alot at his job which can't be helped. I just feel so bad for him. _______________
If your hubby has tried cortisone and has had surgery, have him ask his Dr. about a substance called 'Synvisc' (it also has other names). IIRC it is made from rooster combs. The 4-5 injections are given in a series over the course of a month or two. It helps to give cushion to the knees especially where ragged cartlidge has been removed & you're needing something to cushion the moving joint.
I've had surgery on both knees plus cortizone injections that didn't work, but boy did the Synvisc shots help! They don't help everyone and take a few months to feel the full benefit, but they're worth giving it a try - they last at least a couple years for me. They are expensive and you have to have the full series, but if you have insurance I recommend them. Good luck to you & your hubby.
Dmasy you are right, it shouldn't generate this much discussion. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and no one is going to change the other's mind.
Respectfully, I take Sameo's claim with a grain of salt because any one of us can claim to be in the "know," and as I said before, unless she is Kate, Jon or Kate's judge, she doesn't know what the whole story is either. Of course Kate is going to spin it in her favor for other people, of course!
And Sameo is focusing more on Jon but Kate also does a lot of things that are very unflattering, as we all know.
MJ, did those synvisc shots hurt when you got them? Did your knees ache badly for a couple of days after?
I have a friend who had the first one of the series and she was floored by how painful she said they were. Her doc said her experience was unusual... it did scare me a bit hearing her...
Working Woman, it always feels good to be told you are right. Thanks. But, actually I think you were addressing Permanent's post. She is the one who made the point about this discussion. And, she is right!
Working Woman, 99% of the population does not know her. I am sure that there is a percentage of people who know her and interact with her on a personal level do dislike her. I do not like all people and not all people like me. That's life.
I love your take on when I talk about Jon I am deflecting but when you talk about Kate it is the truth. LOL
Here is something else we will not agree on. Yes, I do believe some of you are jealous of Kate. Again, remember you asked.
You know, there just isn't a whole lot of "there" there to be jealous of. Not very smart, not very nice, not well-spoken, not well-read, no talents that I can think of, not much going on as far as interests or hobbies that aren't self-involved. Yeah, I don't have to be jealous of someone to dislike them. I can just dislike them.
MJ, did those synvisc shots hurt when you got them? Did your knees ache badly for a couple of days after?
******
I had no pain with the injections at all. I remember telling the Dr. that my knees felt 'full' after the shots, but they were! He'd just filled the space up with some good fluid. LOL That feeling went away in less than an hour. I've read that some people are sensitive to the substance and I wonder if your friend was having some type of reaction to it.
Can she fade into obscurity as Jon seems to have done? //////////////
Dmasy, no I do not believe she can. I have read here some people wishing for a Kate free 2013. It can be for anyone who wants it by simply not reading her twitter or writing about her. Kate is only as relevant as you make her.
I am not, nor will I ever be 'jealous' of a child abuser, an animal abuser, a narcissistic grifter with no friends. kart is a cheat and a liar, all of which is chronicled on her 'realist reality show ever' and her pathetic sick journal entries.
she is stupid, greedy, mean, cruel and abusive to all who/whom she deals with. It's all there on the episodes of her sad life. she is just about the worst excuse for a mother I've ever seen.
And so you'll get this one more comment from me. Congratulations for pissing me off enough to garner you one more sad moment of attention.
And then I will suggest that all of the other posters absolutely IGNORE this passive-aggressive 'respectful' shit-stirrer. Normally I wouldn't think of suggesting actions for others to take. This time, in this holiday season, after the tragedy in CT, my tolerance for shit is just about exhausted.
Feed a friend, starve a sheeple. They can't prosper if no one answers. And this discussion has gone on long enough.
Not very smart, not very nice, not well-spoken, not well-read, no talents that I can think of, not much going on as far as interests or hobbies that aren't self-involved. /////////////////////////////
WW asked if I thought you all were jealous. I answered yes, some of you, and the above by Mim tells why. This is what some of you think of her yet with these 'flaws' she has so much and in your opinion she did not earn it or deserve it.
I can't tell you what I know, how I know it, what (or whom) it is about, but if you knew what I know then you'd know what I know and eventually it will come out.
Sending warm thoughts to those of you having cold winter weather (says she who is sitting in mid 60 degree weather in the southwest).
I'm afraid of the cliff, have seen some scary articles written about how it will affect us. And as for the weather, I did go out and snowblow the driveway when the snow slowed. We got 8 inches. It stopped, I cleared the drive and sidewalks, and what do you suppose happened next?
Yep, it started snowing all over again. Sigh.... it is nice out though. It's the kind of snow that is big flake, fluffy but wet... the street sounds are muffled and it has a touch of winter wonderland about it.
I won't think about snowblowing again until tomorrow. It's going to be a long winter.
I need to find a condo in Florida for Jan/Feb with all the other MI snowbirds. Anyone have any suggestions as to locations down there? I heard Sanibel Island is nice....
Come on guys, you are all smarter and way to savvy to be falling for these sheep coming on here trying to bait you. All of them, even the so-called civil ones are here for one reason only- to engage you in an argument and to try and cast doubt on Jon. Its the same old same old that they try every time. They know something for a fact about Jon that would shock our socks off but it's a big secret and we can't be privy to it. Notice how they have never in the past ever come back to 'tell all' or throw it in our face when something was proven -- of course not, because nothing has ever been proven and these people don't know anything. We base our opinions of Kate on what we have seen for ourselves on the show, after the show in the way she behaved at her 'job' and the book that Robert wrote with her own words. Oh and lets don't forget Twitter and her complete and total parental alienation attacks. Sheesh, I mean enough already with you people who think we are stupid enough to fall for your tricks over and over. And boy is this one a winner, who says she believes the journal was Kate's and in her words but that she was 'overwhelmed' and that she was writing private thoughts. Who the hell cares why she said them. Let me put this out there: SHE YANKED HER 2 YEAR OLD UP BY THE HAIR AND THREW HIM IN THE BED, SHE WHIPPED HIM INTO THE BED SO HARD SHE WAS AFRAID SHE WOULD HURT HIM SERIOUSLY. She seriously abused those kids repeatedly -- IN HER OWN WORDS -- and I'm sorry but I don't forgive her for that, I don't care if she was overwhelmed or not. We've all been overwhelmed. Did any of you yank your child up by the hair and throw them in the bed, etc? Yeah, I thought not.
So come on guys, don't engage these fruit loops. Unless someone tells us who they really are, provides documentation to prove what they 'know' they are just trying to get under your skin. Those days for me are over. I don't believe one word they say and they don't deserve any of our energy when they come to stir shit.
I can't tell you what I know, how I know it, what (or whom) it is about, but if you knew what I know then you'd know what I know and eventually it will come out.
Sameo, nah not jealous of Kate at all, i think shes a miserably unhappy person. But thanks for being honest about it at least.
How was my posting about Kate deflecting? I addressed all of the stuff you said about Jon, many times, and responded that unless you are Kate, Jon, or their judge, you probably don't know everything either.
I acknowledged that your opinion on Jon using his kids was fair, even though I have never seen evidence that supports that. And I asked you if you just ignore the fact that Kate clearly uses her kids for her own gain and has been doing so far years.
She can't even make up a twitter name that doesn't remind everyone that she has 8 kids, so I don't know why Jon is the only one you accuse of using the kids.
Hi everyone! I haven't been on the blog in awhile. I have been busy with Christmas prep and family. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and made many fun memories. Heehee.
I haven't had time to read through all the posts so maybe this has already been mentioned. The picture that Kate posted today of Shoka looks to me like a much younger Shoka. She looks more like a puppy than a grown dog. Did anyone else see that? Perhaps that is an old picture of Shoka. Just my observation.
I am anxiously awaiting Downton Abby. We've been watching the re-runs in prep for new season. The show is just specatular, I love it!
Actually, there are very few Masterpiece Theater shows I don't like. So well done, all of them.
Do you remember the mystery shows on Masterpiece? The Agatha Christie Marple/Poirot shows? Loved them and have a long time crush on David Souchet (Poirot)!
Here's another one from long ago:
The Flame Trees of Thika ---- definitely recommend from Netflix. It's about a British tea plantation in Africa in the 30s-40s (think the date is right). It has my alltime favorite actress in the whole world in it - Hayley Mills. She was in her mid 30s when she made the series I think. What acting skills....
This time, in this holiday season, after the tragedy in CT, my tolerance for shit is just about exhausted. ///////////////////////////
Permanent,
I answered respectfully the questions some of you asked. Because you don't like the answers about some reality stars you choose to disrespect the victims of Shady Hook by implying the two are somehow equal! Don't worry I am out of here. And may God forgive you!
I just discovered Downton Abbey last month and love it. Seasons 1 and 2 are free to watch with Amazon Prime membership, and I've watched through both. Wish I could watch season 3 as it is broadcast, but it's not on my basic cable service.
Sameo, you have offered some thought provoking statements.
The jealousy issue -- nah.
I will speak for many of the ladies here. We do not value the same THINGS that Kate does. Our priorities and pleasures and satisfactions are measured differently.
It isn't about the size of her home or the fact that she has been on the cover of several magazines. Or even that she has 8 lovely children.
She is a pretender. She portrays a confident and accomplished woman, who is exhausted by her amazing efforts. She is neither and her efforts are bland.
She pretends and we are (sadly) able to see through to the woman behind the sheer curtain.
I am not jealous. At my best moments, I feel sorry for her.
She's come undone - You thankfully wrote what I was thinking. It's a routine drive-by. They respectfully engage for a few posts and then bam, the comments go south (i.e. you people are just jellus of Kate) and invariably Admin needs to delete them and eventually ban them. I think it`s the same two sheep that jump the fence and wander over everytime, too.
You know posters like SAMEO are a dime a dozen. So predictable, such bad liars, and they know NOTHING!
Kate is who the haters say she is and who people who have met her is real life have said she is. Kates true nature was shown on the Sarah Palin and RV epis and who we read all about in Roberts book....
Jon, although not exactly Mensa, is not the issue here.
This has never been a case of "If you paint Jon in a bad light, Kate will be proven a Saint!"
Kates horrid, abusive, narcissistic, entitled, greedy behavior is NEVER erased by Jons bad behavior. Jons bad behavior is just typicalguy behavior. Kates, is the behavior of a person with deep seated, mental pathology...
Movies: anyone here seen Django Unchained yet? I generally like Tarantino films. one dd saw it today with the bf, she said it is bloodier than other Tarantino films she has seen. Anyone here seen it? I'm probably going to see it in the next couple weeks anyway, the dh and I love spaghetti westerns and I read he directed this film in that style.
Sameo, thanks for posting and I do appreciate your honesty with my questions. Can't figure out what you feel there is to be jealous of about Kate. All you've been saying is how unfairly she's treated and how much Jon manipulates her. And yet we are jealous? Who would be jealous of someone in that situation? Can't have it both ways.
You've been asked many times why you dislike Jon for supposedly using the kids for his gain when Kate clearly does the same. And you havent yet answewd. Hint: Watch the Kate Plus 8 episode called A Rough Ride. Poor Aidan's back is covered in vomit. His mother actually points to it and makes sure the camera gets it all. And she allows their misery to be aired.
I have a vision of a cabal of ewes meeting to discuss timelines, responsibilities and strategies...
Their approaches are so formulaic, so predictable. They obviously study posts to discern which triggers to pull, what buttons to push... it'a almost as if they organize to hit us each night.
Bringing up Jon is good for much debate; alluding to 'facts not in evidence', facts known only to themselves and guarded so we might beg 'tell us more'... that's another good strategy they've gotten mileage with in the past.
When it's close to their bedtimes, they pull out the final card, the Jealousy Card, guaranteed to garner many, many posts.
I've noticed they seem to hit about the time we get going on a topic not related to kart.... I think they don't like us to deviate from the goddess. After all, aren't we the only thing keeping her relevant (said tongue-in-cheek)
They've mastered the psuedo-respectful tact in order to stay on longer, avoiding getting swiffered too fast.
I've got to wonder when they all meet for a post-session recap if they actually keep a tally of 'attention points' they each got:
** "Well, I had 22 replies to my comment about Jon having something to hide that no one knows but me".
"Move over, beginner - I had them going for an hour and a half just by mentioning that they were jealous of her" - "I have to take the kids to the show tomorrow, can you do the Thursday stirring shift at 15 min? CJ said she'd take Friday shift" "We have all the nights covered for the week - those 15 min posters won't know what hit them after we get done with them, ha ha"
**
It's a game to them. I figure it is probably the same pathetic stirrers just using different names. And I also think it's possible that kart herself is posting here.
We know she reads here, as do her minions.
By giving them any attention at all, we are just feeding their need for attention.
I think it's nice that folks actually give them the benefit of the doubt, and reply to them with courtesy. My feeling, they are just laughing behind our backs.
I also am pretty sure that even though it's their bedtimes, and they say "I'm outta here" that they continue to lurk to see what else is said.
Kudos to all who try to lead the discussion away - Butterfly, I'm looking at you! ;-) There are so many other topics to discuss that are worthwhile.
Permanent Name, thanks for the laughs and you are absolutely right.
I am ashamed of myself for engaging this time :(. This poster did seem pretty respectful and the "insider" posts always grab my attention. And, this poster was hating on Jon for something that Kate does habitually, using the kids. It irked me and I wanted to talk it out.
But you are right, it's just beating a dead horse. Sameo probably just worships Kate like they all do and hates Jon because Kate does. And it's just another one who feels we are jealous without being able to address why we are jealous of her and not a real celebrity who is kinder, richer, happier, more talented etc.
From now on, I will just let them have their opinion, which we will never change :)

Permanent -- I LOVED the Flame Trees of Thika. I think you are a couple of decades late on it, though. IIRC, it was before and leading up to WWI. It's been a long time since I saw it, though, so I could be wrong. I also loved the Masterpiece Theatre productions of "The Citadel" with Ben Cross (drool!!) and "To Serve Them All My Days". I was so happy to find that one on DVD and now own it, so I can enjoy it again from time to time.
Working Woman -- I love you. You are a smart young woman and you've added a lot to our conversations here, but, please, don't feed the sheeple.
It's still snowing here, but we didn't get as much, nor was the weather as bad as predicted, Thanks be to God. I don't know what our snow total is so far, but it's way too much for me. I tried to keep up with it, but now I'm blocked in. Can't get the door open because of the weight of the snow piled against it. Hopefully, I can find someone to come shovel me out tomorrow, then I can get my car shoveled off. Right now, it's just a big white mound in front of the house.
I'm sure they all meet on a chat room somewhere and strategize. They surely know all of us by our screen names and have certain favorites here they love to bait.
I just love a good conspiracy theory... but maybe I'm wrong. Shoulder shrug.
Thinking along these lines helps me to shrug the sheeple off. Every once in a while I get bit and bite back by reflex. I try to avoid behavior that Ms. Manners frowns upon.
Some days I'm very successful at that. Other days, not so much....
In a larger picture, I find the whole nasty post thing on the internet fascinating from a sociological and cultural standpoint. I think I'm stating the obvious here when I say most of the folks would never dream of talking to a stranger face-to-face like they do online. The whole anonymity cloak seems to breed such vile hatred and disgusting behavior. It is most distressing to think society has devolved to this because of the advance in technology that gave us the internet.
I'm not as enamoured with the internet as I was a few years ago. Too much bad stuff out there and no filters...
butterfly said... 18 ''So, how's that Fiscal Cliff? Just kidding- that was my feeble attempt to draw the attention this way....'look over here' LOL'' ~~~~~~~~~~~ Hi butterfly. Your 'look over here' worked for me! At Christmas dinner, we were discussing the Fiscal Cliff, and an Uncle had the perfect response when he asked, ''Why on earth are they calling it the Fiscal Cliff? I think Fiscal Bluff is more appropriate!''
MJ, I just talked to dh - he had the Synvisc-One shot. It didn't help him. What he gets now every 3 months is the Cortizone shot which helps him for usually about 2 1/2 months. I'm glad the Synvisc helps you, this stuff is no fun. Thanks for posting about your experience. :)
I think you are very right - it's been so long since I watched it. Didn't they actually have to return to England before or during the war...
Now I have to rent it again; I seem to have lost some of the plot line. I love to watch shows over and over again. I see new things every time I watch it.
I am thoroughly amused by the trolls who swing by here. There are days I just laugh quietly to myself and other days I decide "why not?" and reply. In my book, it's pure entertainment for a quiet evening at home. Since I'm not a movie watcher and not into any of the current TV shows, it really does add some laughs to my evenings.
You might go so far as to say that I'm using them for #SuperFunAtHome!
I am thoroughly amused by the trolls who swing by here.
----------------
I'm guilty of being amused, too. It's like watching an old Laurel-Hardy routine, or The Three Stooges. You know that the routines are just plain dumb, but you watch anyway. The trolls are entertaining in the same way.
I can contribute to the it's cold as hell talk yea!! Lol. It's 27 degrees. I can recommend electric blankets. We cuddled up to watch Ted and were snug as toast.
The problem with the jealousy argument is no one can prove I'm jealous no more than I can prove I'm NOT jealous. So to go around and around about an emotion only the person who feels it knows they have is very tiresome and never accomplishes anything. Moreover I'm much more interested in how the posters think about this or that and not the posters' emotions.
This has never been a case of "If you paint Jon in a bad light, Kate will be proven a Saint!" )$$
It's a basic debate rule anyone should be able to grasp. You can't defend hitler by trying to say but look see how bad Stalin was!! And no I'm not comparing anyone to hitler relax, I'm just using the classic example debate teachers use to teach their kids to debate better. When I see someone using such a cheap tactic it's very annoying and elementary. Grow up.
Yeah, Sleepless, if they want to entertain us, who are we to say no? :-)
-------------
Great. Now I have that song from Gypsy running through my head!
Let me entertain you, Let me make you smile... Let me do a few tricks, Some old and then some new tricks; I'm very versatile. So let me entertain you, We'll have a real good time.
The sameo(ld) demise was entertaing to watch. The snarks slipping in "just remember you asked and I answered", RH's "so-called" book. I liked that little dig. In the preface RH himself refers to the publication as a book - "for lack of a better term". He acknowledges freely he is not a professional writer. But sameo(ld) had to take a dig, then a lovely snark at our deficient detective skills. Finally, the grand exit jumping wildly IMO to the assumption that permanent's level of tolerance for bs at this time of year particularly after the CT tragedy was quite low is an implication of a comparison between an ex reality show participant and the tragedy at Shady Hook equating the two. What deflates that stomp off is that the name of the school is Sandy Hook. Seeing as how that's been a top news story for nearly 2 weeks, seems respectful to the victims and their families and friends to get it right ,
So sameo(ld) wasn't as respectful as she thought she was. Permanent got close enough to the trigger and BOOM! The inevitable implosion followed by the " I'm outta here and may god forgive you". Sameo(ld), may god allow you not reach so darn far next time you need to extricate yourself from a debate. Kate lied, cheated, and stole to get what she has. Worst of all she involved her children in the scam. I am not jealous of her tactics any more than Bernie Maddoff's which gained him riches - at the expense of a lot of people.
Permanent Name wasn't even comparing the Kate saga to the Sandy Hook tragedy, not even in the slightest. She was saying that her feelings since that tragedy have decreased her ability to put up with sh*t. There's a HUGE difference and accusing her of being disrespectful was such a cop-out.
Here's to a relaxing, productive, troll-free day! :)
neighbour troed to break in last nigjt, darling Keyla blocked him. But she's !!, am thinking about a new dog, since I lost titte-bit # christmasas ago. Thougjts on calm but strong breed? thanks
Kate is stuck at the same age as her twins (you know, the ones not nearly as famousish making as the other ones). Her sheeple are stuck at the age of her 'other' ones (the importantish ones who matter because they put her on the map). Her sheeple scream, screech and copy each other in the over the top babbling about her (just like the 'little' do/and did all the time). The only reason the twins really have any importance is they brought the total to eight (...yeah, you know the drill, count 'em, 8) which gets her called OctoMom (kinda, sorta like what is her nemesis, the REAL OctoMom (name earned by birthing 8 at one time, unlike kate and her measley 6).
Working Woman - Yes, Sameo's interpretation of Permanent's digust was mind boggling. And they sheeple say WE interpret Kate's idiotic tweets the wrong way. LOL
MJ, did those synvisc shots hurt when you got them? Did your knees ache badly for a couple of days after?
I have a friend who had the first one of the series and she was floored by how painful she said they were. Her doc said her experience was unusual... it did scare me a bit hearing her... **************************** To Permanent Name and MJ:
I had the injections of Euflexxa, which is like Synvisc but is not made from any animal products. I had one injection a week for three weeks. This was in November. I am getting slow relief of my pain. I was very very scared to get these injections and yes, it was slightly painful but not at all what I had anticipated.
I have two jobs, one is part-time home improvement store, and I do have to stand, I'm sure this adds to my pain. But I was able to work for 3.5 hours the same evening I received my third injection.
I am able to have my second series in six months, if needed. This is according to my insurance company, as yes, it is very expensive.
#76 -- do you need a watch dog or guard dog? Check on line various breeds. Find one that fits your personality/needs. I have had Lhasa Apsos as they were originally bred in Tibet as watch dogs. My other suggestions is for one person to feed dog. My cousin had a Lab, uber friendly, they gave the dog a treat then tied him to the radiator and cleaned out the house.
Permanent Name, best of luck with the injections, or with the surgery if you do get it! May your knees become as strong as your mind and spirit :)

This is the essence of the sheep..their shallow, one dimensional thinking. They have no critical thinking skills and cannot see the disconnect between what Kate says and does. This is why they worship Kate while the rest of the world sees her for who she is. They are not very bright.
Flight of the Kiwi, your SameOld acronym is so spot on! Kinda funny. same old baa baa droppings indeed, so 2009. Why do folks do this? Cause they can? I watched Dr Phil yesterday and it was all about real life catfish stories, there women were on, they both had been email corresponding and sometimes actually calling what they thought was a long distance boyfriend. It turned out to be a woman who had done the same thing to a total of twenty six different people, that the show producers could fine. They had on the guy who did the catfish documentary and it was kinda a promo for his TV show also. Very interesting, and esp how long the women let it go on, when there were red flags all over the place that the person was not what they presented themselves to be.

This is the essence of the sheep..their shallow, one dimensional thinking. They have no critical thinking skills and cannot see the disconnect between what Kate says and does. This is why they worship Kate while the rest of the world sees her for who she is. They are not very bright.

WTH!!! You are jumping on me for being concerned about a former President.
I've been here since the inception of this board...hardly a sheeple.
Ah, but when one makes mistakes, he should learn from those mistakes $$$
Bingo there's the difference. An unkind word, a lie, a cruel act, and many other things can almost always be forgiven if the person recognizes the problem, apologizes, and works very hard to never let It happen again. Courts even routinely give kids back to child abusers as long as they feel comfortable the parent has reformed. I see very little introspection from case and really no real effort that I can think of to even admit most her problems let alone try to fix herself. And there's where it goes beyond "everyone makes mistakes". Way beyond.
Lily..swear you jinxed me. MTL is getting storm now. Am going shopping to dinner with dd if it kills us. oh..and breaking dawn..in french..malheuresment..sheeesh..what do we not do for our kids?
Judy no no I think she was saying the opposite! That its the opposite of a sheeple to show concern for someone and respect for aspects of them you did appreciate even if you didn't like their politics. A sheeple would just love or just hate.
I feel the same about George. A little known fact, he used to routinely say hey let's take a break and go say hi to the tour groups going through the White House. I was with my family our first time in dc, I was maybe 8 or so, and up walks George bush, Colin Powell and a bunch of secret service to say hi to our group and ask where we're from. My parents were floored, the kids thought that was a standard part of the tour lol!!! I wish that good man a speedy recovery.
It's some kind of fluid? Not sure what exactly, but it helps the pain alot for the first couple months. Our insurance will only pay every 3 months 115
I'm guessing that it is artificial synovial fluid (3 shots a week apart); 2 names that I know are orthovisc and synvisc. Helped my knee a lot for the past several years.
Auntie Ann 117. I "luv" Tony Bourdain. I will not watch the Kahlahari show again though. Do you have and opinion about Zamir?
p..s. everyone, please remember our favorite words: "agree" and "ignore". 'Tis the season, and all that.
Admin I agree, and it doesn't make sense to say that Kate's mistakes merely make her human and Jon's make him a parental alienator. Not fair.
Sameo left before she could explain the question I kept asking, which was if she feels that Jon is using the kids for his own gains, then what exactly does she feel Kate is doing? Jon has done WAY less that involves the kids than Jon has.
Sigh. Oh well, can't say I'll miss the back and forth arguing, it really is tiresome and makes me feel guilty. They have their opinion and we could probably show them video footage of Kate robbing a bank (hypothetical) and they would find a way to defend her. And it's fine if they wish to feel that way, I just wish they wouldn't disrupt the peace here :(
But again, I apologize to everyone sincerely for choosing to engage at all, even though I did try to be very respectful to Sameo.
Never had any other dog but Doberman Pinschers. My current Dobie is a hugh mush with no need, to date, to show any form of aggression. Actually, he whines and pouts if visitors don't acknowledge him when they enter the house. However, one incident occured with my cat, that makes me assume (yeah, dangerous, I know) he would turn aggressive if he sensed turmoil. I had the cat carrier on the kitchen counter, and was trying to cage the cat who resisted with tremendous vigor. My Dobie watching the cat's upset, put up such a fuss, barking in a tone I had never before heard from him (actually, rebuking ME) that i had to take the cat and the carrier into another room. If my Dobie would protect my cat can I be far behind?
Judy K, I am going to speak for localyokal...hopefully, correctly.
I read her comment as she was using your post as an example of someone who COULD separate the person from the politics. Critical thinking skills and multi-dimensional thinking. She was saying that sheeple are unable to complete that thought process with Kate.
I think that local was not slamming you -- rather, complimenting your thinking ability.
long time no hear from you..thank you for answering
My dogs have always found me, resues, all of them db said I needed a big dog, I was like..no way...
after last night am thinking diffetently. Keyla is getting older, bless her, she still is there for dd, no fear from her. but I have never lived without a dog or 2
my db wishes a great dane upon me..I was thinking, hoping more sheppardish..thougjts?
May 2013 be the year in which I am finally able to adopt a dog in need, thus finally be able to join your doggie conversations! I am going to grad school in the fall and will have a lot on my plate, so the timing will have to be right.
Kate said last night that she and the big girls were in her room playing iPad games. It sounded like C&M have iPads. So ipads and iPhones for the girls and Kate thinks that they're not on the Internet? Kate does live in a dream world. All they need is a WiFi hot spot and theve got access. School library, friend's house, stores, etc. Our Dillards is a WiFi hot spot and has the network posted on the door if you want to connect. It's easy to clear your search history and Kate would never be the wiser. My iPhone (5) automatically defaults to WiFi if it's around.
I..you..made me realise again that our family comes whe are open to them.
thus me bro's digs about the 1..count it 1 dog his son (my godson) adopted while spending summer here. Who was I to that away from him. Sil..wanted a sister from him, after she got over the shock ? yeah for deployment away)
sil asked me to send her anklebiter #2..so I did..lmao
only mine passed 2 years ago..and you fine ladies comforted me. this is why I love this blpg
I think I am ready fir my next rescue/love..thank you franky
Perm in blue said....The Flame Trees of Thika ---- definitely recommend from Netflix. It's about a British tea plantation in Africa in the 30s-40s (think the date is right). It has my alltime favorite actress in the whole world in it - Hayley Mills. She was in her mid 30s when she made the series I think. What acting skills....
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
Grew up with Disney and Haley Mills was my idol - loved that accent. Tiger Bay, Pollyanna, Parent Trap, Summer Magic, oh, my. Know there are more. Thanks for the memories.
My best to President and Mrs. Bush. They just seem so real. Like they could sit down at your table, eat tuna casseraole and feel tight at home. Not many first couples can project that feeling.
In other news, in the banner at the top of my screen I've been invited to Ian and Amy's wedding, Nov. 16 at 1:00 PM.... anyone else going?
I wonder if Amy is friends with Stephanie? I have a hunch they live 2.8 miles from each other on Cyber Drive....
Shall we car pool? Someone will have to be the designated driver so we can all enjoy our rumspringas. I assume, dangerously, that Amy and Ian will be having a Rumspringa Fountain at the reception....
I just love weddings, don't you? I sure hope the Ewe Cabal isn't invited. Mean of me, I know, but Ms. Manners has the day off. LOL
Years ago I had two Dobies. Wonderful lap, yep lap, dogs. Fortunately only one in my lap at a time.
One night when my husband was working late an intruder tried to climb through my window. My dobies sprung into action. Wow. One stayed under the window barking and snapping at the intruder and the other kept herself between me and the bad guy. They did this on their own, no direction from me. The intruder went back through the window and ran away. Both dogs spent the night next to me, one on each side, until my husband came home.
Years later I still get chills when I think about how my dobies protected me. Both dogs have passed on. Now I have a finnish spitz. Whenever my husband is away on business the dog plants himself at the top of stairs at night to protect the children and I. Again, he does this on his own.
I answered respectfully the questions some of you asked. Because you don't like the answers about some reality stars you choose to disrespect the victims of Shady Hook by implying the two are somehow equal! Don't worry I am out of here. And may God forgive you. ************************************************ It's Sandy Hook, you cretin. Why don't you show some semblance of respect and at least get the name right. I hope you and all your iterations of stupidity will stay away. Good riddance.
*********************
Working Woman,
THANK YOU! You are an intelligent woman and your reading comprehension is excellent.
We cannot say the same for poor little sameo. When she offered her exit shit bomb I was this close to responding. Ms. Manners was next to me waving frantically to keep my fingers off the keyboard.
She explained to me that sameo obviously had some comprehension problems and that it is not proper to attend to negative, stupid behavior or speech.
Of course I was not equating Sandy Hook with the kart debacle. Sandy Hook is a tragedy beyond words. kart is simply a joke in bad taste. But sheeple tend to have trouble understanding complex discussions and when they are called out, they fall back on the tried and true. The "I'm leaving, you won't have me to kick around anymore" and the "may god forgive you" are the rantings of a child.
In the face of all the troubles in our world today, the Sandy Hook tragedy being the latest, it is very important to remember that sheeple, kart and her pathetic life are such INSIGNIFICANT little bits of nothing. When I am overwhelmed with sadness and disbelief and trying hard to keep a calm head, it is the grain of sand in my shoe that can ultimately make me lose control.
And little sameo was that incredibly annoying grain of sand. Bless her wittle witless mind...
Like I said earlier, I do try to not respond and to sameo's exit speech, I struggled but eventually realized Ms. Manners was correct. Little sameo just wasn't worth my time.
I'm appreciative of all who understood my post and who supported me after sameo's embarrassing temper tantrum.
Permanent Name, it was my pleasure. We got your back here and it was very obvious what you meant in your post. Again, the accusation was clearly a cop out.
The reason I asked Sameo the jealousy question is that this, to me, is one of the tell-tale signs of whether the poster is a rational person or not. No rational person just looking for a healthy debate plays the jealousy card; this person knows that you can't accuse people you don't know of having such specific feels as jealousy and also, understands that it doesn't make much sense that everyone seems to be jealous of Kate, who is considered to be a joke in Hollywood, as opposed to other kinder, more famous, better off celebs who don't attract this level of disgust from the public.
Another tell tale sign is avoiding tactfully worded, legitimate questions that are asked of them over and over and deflecting by throwing out insults. Like, I asked what she thought about the fact that Kate has estranged and alienated so many people, was it NEVER Kate's fault, even with all of those people? Nada.
Off topic, sorry, but has anyone seen Gasland, a documentary about hydraulic fracturing (fracking), a process to mine for natural gas, which is decimating the water supply for some people? It is damn scary stuff. I can't stop thinking about it. The damage is irreversible and permanent and it is just so WRONG. You should not be able to light your water on fire. You should be able to drink it.........
I don't think Kate is anyone to be jealous of, I think she is someone to be pitied, but just when I sort of do feel pity because she appears to have few friends or family beyond those kids, she says something like she did on Christmas. So what if she got a lot of stuff/trips? Those things are fleeting. Love is the stuff of life, and she is very lacking in that, not having much of it outside those walls. I couldn't imagine such a lonely life. Her glory days are over, the opportunities have dried up, she continues to live in denial.........just let her. Reality will hit her hard someday and she probably won't have anyone there to comfort/guide her through it, besides her tweeties. And that's sad.
I was gone most of yesterday. I see Sameo made quite an impression. She was mentioned a total 95 times on the 2nd and 3rd pages! Twenty eight after she'd left!
I am chiming in to soundly agree with and recommend Dobermans. They are about the best-kept secret in the dog world. Wonderfully intelligent, protective, loving and hilarious. My current dobie, Willow, has a sock fetish. Never enters or leaves a room without a sock in her mouth. Lap puppy in a 70-pound body. She's the love of my life!
Franky, dachsunds are little psychos about protecting their people, and they have a big bark! My dog is nuts and sounds like a rottie. He has bitten me, trying to get to another dog, and nobody will approach me. It's sort of embarrassing. But I have no doubt he would mangle the ankles of anyone who came in here. He is very loving and tender with us, but if you don't belong here, watch out!
Your recognition of the two tell signs is pretty insightful!
You're right on the money, IMHO.
I do agree with some of the other posters, that sheeple can be entertaining at times. They are so damned predictable it's almost like we could recite their lines along with them, we've heard them so many times.
The times I am in a good mood I can be entertained and not reply to any. But sometimes my inner bitch, the rightous one, just has to come out. I'm not always proud of her but there are times when she insists on being heard.
Actually, there are times when I write a scathingly brilliant (nod to Hayley Mills here :-) ) reply, then delete it before sending. My inner bitch can be so horrifyingly mean. I'm ashamed, hanging my head. LOL I'd be mortified if I posted some of the things I've thought and Admin swiffered me. Oh, I'd be doing the walk of shame....
The weather here changes like crazy. Yesterday 8 inches of snow, today sunny and clear. I'm going to work on finishing a military scrapbook for my FIL today. Been working on it for a couple of years.
I don't know about anyone else, but sometimes doing genealogical scrapbooks gets me down. I miss my FIL and MIL.... work on the book for a while then put it away for a while.
This particular scrapbook comprises his military papers and photos. It's an honor to do it, the family sure appreciates me doing it. No one else in family is genealogically minded. I guess I'll be the family historian; not a bad job to have, right?
HAYLEY MILLS, another good movie with her was The Trouble with Angels. Ah heck, she was good in anything she did.
Bit of trivia - I used to wear my hair like hers, with the two swoopy side bangs. In fact, my mom always parted my hair on the side as she said it parted naturally that way. When I fell in love with Hayley Mills around the age of 10 I started parting my hair in the middle. Caused no end of friction with my mom, I can tell you. She kept saying "but it doesn't want to part NATURALLY in the middle"....... LOL, the beginning of the teenager/mom rift.....
OK, too much? Rambling? Sorry - ha ha... off to scrapbook with my hair parted naturally (now) in the middle. Ya do a thing for 50 years, it becomes natural, yes?

LOL! And you know they are keeping track at the Ewe Cabal meetings.... Sameo did well for herself last night. If it was an initiation to enter the cabal, she surely got in based on her record....
Look out tonight for someone else in the cabal to try to out-do sameo's record. ha ha ha
The reason I asked Sameo the jealousy question is that this, to me, is one of the tell-tale signs of whether the poster is a rational person or not. ***** It's like invoking Godwin's Law. When the trolls come here, they invoke the Kate Law, which is, you're jealous. Discussion over.
Perm in blue and PJ's momma - would you consider changing your profile on blogger to 'enable access to your profile'? When I want to look at your avatar l can't see it larger and get that message. Not a big deal just wondered if you knew about that switch.
Lilly, sorry, but I have a travel blog attached to that and don't want certain people (not you) to access it and don't want to make the blog private. It's just a picture of my dog yawning from under a blanket. I have a pic of him wearing the other dog's hair on his head from her furminator session and he looks like Donald Trump! I think I'll change it to that one!
LOL! And you know they are keeping track at the Ewe Cabal meetings.... Sameo did well for herself last night. If it was an initiation to enter the cabal, she surely got in based on her record.... ______________________________________________
She probably got an extra bale of hay or whatever sheep eat.
I have been away awhile too and catching up. I am struck most by Kate's tweet about assumptions being dangerous. This comment, after someone asking if the kids were looking forward to seeing their father over Christmas. How could she simultaneously throw her ex-husband and her 8 children under the bus. If MY mother spoke publicly for me without my consent I would be devastated. Once again, she speaks as if her 8 INDIVIDUAL children are a unit of ONE.
Let's say, that one (or two) of her children don't care for Jon's girlfriend and would prefer to stay with Kate over the holidays, should she not keep that private? She is shameless, shallow, spiteful, and sick to do this to her kids. She speaks as if they ALL don't want to see their father in one sweeping statement (tweet). My point is, she should never, ever discuss her kids on Twitter, especially when it hurts their father.......there, rant completed!
I am about to get myself ready to go out to the movies, looking forward to seeing Les Miserables. I already have my tissues in my pocket.
How do I do that? I confess to being selectively ignorant of "some things computer"
That is to say that some things I can do and understand, but technology is changing so fast that I can't keep up and there are days/instances when I am hopelessly befuddled. Apologies....
I do know that my 'permanentnameinblue' blogger profile is isolated from my other accounts for privacy. And the profile for it is empty...
Lilly, are you just wanting to see the photo in larger format? It's a photo of some boobalicious breasties with a "good bra" in the most audacious orange color. There is no way to know whose chest it is... rumors of it being a chest from Wyomissing are probably greatly exaggerated. LOL
Joy,
Why thank you sweetie! We can sit together at Amy and Ian's wedding and get snockered on rumspringas and let the inner bitches flow. We might get thrown out, but I'm sure Working Woman will have our backs. She won't let us waste away on the steps to the reception hall, and I hope she'd also bail us out of the pokey if it comes to that. She and Dwindle will take care of us, no doubt about it! LOL
I am waiting for the crowds to lessen to see Les Mis, one of my all-time favorite Broadway shows. I know the score inside out as do my kids ( who once staged their own stuffed animal version- beat that, Kate, lol!)The movie trailers look marvelous.
Hang out! Auto correct strikes again! Tweet, Permanent Name, y'all are making me laugh out loud today, the dh keeps asking me what's so funny. Ewe Cabal, extra bale of hay, just funny! Imagine the baabaa consternation. ”they can't be laughing at us, they are all just jellus, yeah, that's the ticket!” ( tip of the hat to John Lovitz)
One thing I've been really surprised at is that the actors in Les Mis can sing... who'd have thought that Hugh Jackman and Ann Hathaway have such good voices?
I too will wait until the crowds die down a bit.
And now, really and truly, I'm off to scrapbook. I'll try to make it back tonight to see the sameo competition try to break her record.... as surely as night follows day, the ewe cabal will appear tonight.
Perm name - just go to a previous PoST you have made and click on your name - screen will appear with orange box in top left hand corner edit profile - first option is to share your profile - that's it, that's all
Can I join you and joy at the wedding - but still snowing here so will have to harness kitten to a toboggan to join up with you - think herding cats i might need help
(Love your inner self - been there myself dontcha know)
Hanging my head in shame. Sameo sucked me right in last night... "scathingly brilliant" and logical replies to her from me.
Whichever sheeple arrives tonight -- I will NOT (repeat to myself) get drawn in. No matter what inviting question is asked of us....NO, I will not respond.
You all will help me tie my hands down, won't you? Working Woman and I can be our own support group.
But Dmasy - it was so entertaining - I kept on snickering and saying 'take that Sameo' and no I didn't get it either for the longest time - now we know the secrets to those posts
Lol Dmasy, I will support you and gladly join you in your restraint against the sheeple.
As you kindly pointed out to me yesterday, no need to be so hard on yourself. It is near impossible for ever the mildest, most patient people to refrain from responding sometimes.
At this point, knowing what we know and seeing what we see, it is so unfathomable that anyone can support her and accuse others of being jealous of a woman who behaves that way, that it makes it difficult to ignore.
But remembering that our logic falls on deaf ears with the sheeple and that they get off on the attention certainly helps. :)
Franky and Working Woman- My last 3 dogs were of mixed breed: Oliver, a Shepherd-Lab X; Zoe, an Akita-Beagle X, and now my Annouschka, a Keeshond-Siberian Husky Mix.
Of the three, the best all-round dog was Oliver. He had the smarts of a Shepherd and the playfulness and gentleness of a Lab. Zoe was cranky and domineering (she was also orange and white, and I was a strawberry blonde, we looked and acted like sisters LOL); and Nouschi is affectionate smart, loving, beautiful, but a lousy defender of the house. She has a ferocious bark but flops on her back for a tickle when the intruder comes through the door.
Any Shepherd-Lab X that I have ever met has wonderful qualities, and I suggest you consider that when you get your dog.
I have also had 2 purebred Scotch collies, and they were both dumber than a box of paint. They were bred for looks, but it took 5 of them to play Lassie. I hope I'm not offending Collie owners...Border Collies on the other hand act like they have ADHD and/or OCD, and must be kept busy all the time.
I know whatever dog you get will have a good home, as you are taking the time to do it right.
PS Franky- Oliver used to have a harness and he would pull me up and down a nearby football fiels on my cross country skis. Another reason to get a Shepherd/Lab! He/she could pull your sled...
IDModo, thank you so much for saying that! The dogs you have taken care of all sound beautiful and special, each in his own way.
Does anyone have experience with Shetland Sheep dogs? I think they are just gorgeous and supposedly very good dogs. Hopefully I will own one with my family someday :)
Sometimes I feel so impatient and eager to just get my puppy already, but then I remember it is just not the right time -- I am gone too many hours of the day at once. Eventually, the time will be right and I will be able to give Nugget/Jazz (my chosen top two male dog names) or Havi (my chosen female dog name) the love and attention that he or she deserves.
Which begs the question, and I am open for opinions, which is the better male dog name for a small dog (definitely want it to be a relatively small breed for my first dog while living in an apt, although I love big dogs too), Nugget or Jazz, Jazzy for short? Or if you think they both stink (I won't be offended, promise!), I welcome any other suggestions!
Working Woman, I vote for Jazz! Our best friend's son is named Jazz. It's a good name. Just know that some rescues come with names and are reluctant to warm up to a new one. We adopted a German Shepherd many years ago named Jason. We had 2 Jasons in the family and we tried to get him to change his name (Cody is what we wanted) and tried to incorporate and then eliminate with his name, calling him Co-Jason, then Co-Jase, then Cody-Jay.......he never got it. He would cock his head to hear his name and respond only to that. He was dumber than dirt though, and super timid (due to being abused) but the sweetest, easiest dog we ever had. He died a Jason!
I am thinking to myself: "Who or what am I jealous of?" I try to avoid feeling jealous - because I have no valid reason to be jealous of anyone. I was born to two wonderful parents, and have many loving siblings. I was born into a middle class life, always had plenty to eat, was well taken care of, and afforded a good education. My parents encouraged all of us to follow our dreams, and gave us the tools by which we could earn a decent living. I had opportunities to meet wonderful men and it must be my perverse nature that I selected a man who didn't provide well for me, but I loved him nonetheless.
I am not beautiful, but I have good features. I have always been able to find work that paid my living expenses. I have wonderful friends, and a place in my community. I have a son who means the world to me, and he is healthy, doing well in school, and generally well adjusted.
What do I have to be jealous of? Well, sure I wish I had a little more money. I wish I could afford a nicer home. If magic wishes were available to me, I might wish I were 10 or 15 years younger, or 20 to 30 pounds lighter.
But jealous of Kate? How could that be? She has no family because she has driven them away. She has no significant other in her life (have we seen or heard from the married body guard lately?). She has no worthwhile associations that she contributes to. She has her children 50% of the time, and when she has them, she tweets constantly and appears to prefer not to interact with them.
She seems to be obsessed with what she eats, and looks unhealthy to me. Her beauty, such as it is, is mostly phony. She was once a fresh-faced attractive woman - now she looks generic, her hairline is receding, her skin is aging fast, and she is desperate to be back in the spotlight.
She has more money than I do, and a nicer home -- but that home is a cold, empty shell and the money was earned by her children - not her. I am not jealous of that. I pity that. My modest home is comfy, cozy, messy, filled with family pictures, the sound of teenage boys playing video games and burping, two cats, myself, and ten years of happy memories. My bank account is in the black; and I earned every cent in there. What my son earns is his to keep; I don't take the money he earns and consider it mine. When my son asks if he can help me, I always say yes! and praise him for his efforts.
I only have one child, but if I had more, I wouldn't play favorites, or try to create strife among them. I am the adult in my home. I don't require to be the center of attention, nor do I freak-out and require my son to baby me.
I ask again - what in the world does Kate have that I should be jealous of? She has nothing beyond some money in the bank and a big poorly decorated shell of a home. No friends, no extended family, no significant other, no job, no career, no hope of a career, no personality, no kindness or goodness in her heart, no connection to the rest of the world, no hope for a lasting loving relationship with her children once they can break free of her. In short, she has nothing of true value. Of what is there to be jealous?
Working Woman -- I have a Nugget! (And, a Nettie and an Annie). They are all Min-Pins. Someday, I hope to have a real doberman. Hubby compromised with the Miniatures. Two of them are very smart. I believe they understand English. Annie, is just a butterfly brain and she treads lightly and happily on this earth.
There was a puppy mill rescue also -- Nannie. She did not survive her horrible beginning. We tried hard to save her...and I still feel sad for her short life.
Before that, a wonderful rescue Greyhound. What loyal and sweet animals they are.
Millicent, I read your post twice through. It was a beautiful description of a wonderful, average, blessed life. I wish Kate could read and understand your words.
Franky - shame on you a Mtl gal in snow pants OMG you have a style to keep up - so get out your boots (Kate at the corn maze style) get your skirt that's up to there and your Holt renfrew coat and make us proud!!
A lot of people also just don't have jealous personalities. I don't detect jealous personalities from most people here. The sheeple just don't understand many, many people are not wired to be constantly jealous of the next thing or the next.
OK, I am officially jellus of Millicent. Anyone else? Just kidding, thanks for sharing your wonderful life, burps and all. Some things cannot be bought, and some people just do not ever get that. A few years ago, my brother brought his family up for a vacation and they brought my sister-in-law's brother. We live in one of the most spectacular places in the country. This guy, James, spent the whole week slack-jawed and in awe of nearly everything he was seeing. He ended up bunking with our nephew, who told me that his Uncle James would wake him up every night to say, "I will never forget this." This guy, at 40, had never been out of our home state of New Mexico. I tear up, thinking what it meant to him, just to see something so different and so beautiful, to see him eat salmon for the first time, to watch him gleefully take pictures and babble like a gradeschool girl at dinner each night. It was precious. I will never forget it either. Sometimes we need a little perspective on how blessed we are, and we sure got it that week.
Working Woman. Those are very cute names! Wait and see once you get one though. I usually pick a name or two and when I get the dog I think of a name that fits it better. I have a black dog Pepper cuz she looks like a pile of pepper. A few I have gotten in the past were already named.
One thing you forgot to mention is you have a great reputation. Kate is cursed forever with the terrible reputation that is documented by film, interviews, and numerous articles written about her.
Her kids will read all about it one day. Anderson Cooper, all the last night TV hosts, Tony Donovali, etc. and numerous others that have met her have let the world how bad of a person she is.
Again, the most important thing a person has is their reputation and Kate's sucks big time in a major way. I pity her when her eight children find out how she is viewed by the world and how she had sullied their name Gosselin.
Kate does some ugly things (the Christmas tweet), some very ugly things (hurting her children) and still I just feel sorry for her.
She will never realize you can't fill an empty life with things. The joy and excitement of new, bright, shiny things lasts a very short time. Things don't fulfill that need to be loved, love yourself, or love others.
I can't imagine that feeling of emptiness, but it has to be very sad and lonely.
I think that's a big part of her mood swings. She gets that high when she gets something new, then lashes out when she realizes she's still empty.
On a brighter note, I hope everything had a lovely Christmas/Holiday! I'm going to venture out and see how INDOT did with plowing the roads! I'm so NOT a Winter person! Bring on Spring please!
My goal for 2013 is to be the best person I can be and to love myself the way I love others, to appreciate what I have been blessed with rather than focusing on what I feel isn't good enough about myself. That kind of self-love is important and key to being a happy, non jealous person. Not that I ever have been jealous of Kate for even a split second.
The sheeple seem to equate any type of disapproval toward Kate with jealousy... So I guess, by their own logic, they are "jealous" of Jon? They insult him with more hate and venom than anyone here expresses toward Kate, one of them has even made comments about wanting him to get hurt if I recall correctly.
Admin your point about some people not having jealous personalities is a good one. People who are secure tend not to get jealous. They make look to other people for inspiration, but they do not go to a blog and post about someone due to jealousy.
It's even worse when Kate herself accuses non fans of being jealous. It's so damn egotistical and obnoxious. Hey that's kind of ironic, whenever she says that all it does is remind me of why I am NOT jealous of her!

Happy New Year to all! I am hoping that in the new year Kate G. truly becomes an item of the past. Any attention, good or bad, feeds the monster. I'm sad to hear she was even mentioned in Time.
I see she has started throwing around brand names again...'playing IPAD games'. 'having EMERIL horseradish for dinner'. 'putting battery cover back on FURBY'. 'I want DYSON'. 'I want VICTORIA'S SECRET'. Is that a FU to these to say 'look! LOOK! LOOK what I have!'. I hate when people do that. It makes them look desperate & very materialic. Bragging & brand name dropping is bad taste in my opinion. She couldn't just have said 'playing games' and leave her ego at the door? That woman has the biggest ego I've seen on twitter!
If she loves Sounds of Music so much, why wouldn't she already have the DVD of it? I thought it was odd when she said she found it on ABC. HUH?
Well, she did not freak out after it snowed. Does she only freak out when power goes out? Trying to tweet on her IPAD that had 5% power left certainly shows how screwed up she was...who cares about freaking twitter when you had children in an unheated house? Just forget about freaking twitter for one night and tend to your children. Her behavior throughout that snowstorm last year was so so so over the top and ridicilous! What was she on?

Dmasy, I too was wrong about Sameo/Disappointed Regular. She shows up with a different name on a regular basis, so I guess that does make her a regular. My bad.
So what time will she be driving by tonight? Betting pool anyone? 8pm CST is my guess.
It takes me back my high school days when I worked at my local grocery store and I would have to call over the intercom "clean-up on isle...." Except instead of a cleaning up yogurt or milk like my coworkers did, poor Admin has to clean up sheeple droppings, which often reek of desperation and malice, sadly.
OT...I have two young nieces who are expecting babies. We were talking over the holiday. Neither one of them had any idea what the phrase "the rabbit died" meant.
Really. I had to explain the whole wait-until-you-missed-your-second-cycle Dr. appointment procedure.
Anne Hathaway has sung in movies before (just a song, not musical). Hugh Jackman played Curly on London's broadway and also had a one man show in New York. The two of them together had a really cute opening number for the Oscar's one year. Go to You Tube and google them.
A betting pool! WooHoo! How about 10:15 pm Eastern Daylight Savings Time?
OT Update on our Boston Terrier. We saw vet this afternoon, dog had another seizure a couple hours before. Her neuro exam is normal. She was on Rimadyl for a few days after a skin biopsy a week ago, I read seizures could be a potential side effect, vet says that is possibility, but she thinks it not likely. She got senior bloodwork panel, we will have results tomorrow. If it happens again we can try medication, and she can refer me to canine neurologist who can do MRI.
Two thrilling (for me) things today: My long-unemployed friend is working at little local market! Bonus for me is that I get a big hug when I go for a few things. Another friend who was adopting a girl they fostered years ago had the adoption finalized today. They thought the ex-stepdad was going to throw a monkey-wrench in at the last moment, but he did not. So Hollie is now their daughter! HOORAY for average lives and HOORAY for friends to share these milestones with!!!!!!!! (I used 8 exclamation points in Kate's honor, but it was hard.)
Working Woman, my experience with Shelties (Shetland Sheepdogs)is that they are skittish, easily scared. One of my close friends has one(Sadie) and Sadie is afraid to go into the dog park.My boss had one and she was also afraid of people and other dogs. They are not ALL like that but they are a highly bred dog and tend to be hypersensitive.
They are also loyal and loving with their families, and smart. They may also be yappy. They sure are beautiful, though! I have never met one I didn't like or who behaved in a nasty way.
Dog names: Two syllables, and not one that sounds like a command. I could never say NO to ZO and had to say ah-ah-ah because if I said no she thought I was calling her.
Whatever you name your dog, you will wind up calling it something else at times. Nouschi's real name is Annie Belle, but she gets Annouschka, Nouschi, The DOG, etc. Occasionally Nouschi You Little Shit Did You Eat the Cat's Food Again?
Joy, try not to worry too much yet. PJ had his first at about 8 years of age, it wasn't a brain tumor or anything like that, he just developed epilepsy. After the Rimadyl exits her system, I'd wait to see if it happens again and if it does, it's easily and mostly controlled by inexpensive medication, andI would go that route for a while before I sprung for an expensive MRI.
Working Woman said... Does anyone have experience with Shetland Sheep dogs? I think they are just gorgeous and supposedly very good dogs. Hopefully I will own one with my family someday :)
*************
My niece has 2 Shelties. They're absolutely beautiful dogs but I wouldn't last a day as their owner. They're 1 and 2 yrs old - so still fairly young, but they're extremely high strung, which I guess is typical for the breed, but they wouldn't be a good match for me. Also, I must admit that said niece and her hubby need to spend some more time on their training and discipline, too.
She's started using 'thunder shirts' on them whenever they have company or when they take the dogs anywhere because they're so hyper and nervous. We had a toddler with us during the last visit and the dogs herded him with barking and jumping non-stop. It wasn't the dogs' fault; they were just doing what comes naturally.
Every dog has it's own temperament and personality, so be sure to research each breed and make sure it fits with you and your lifestyle. I prefer more laid-back dogs and was very lucky with a lab/collie mix and a registered Chinese Shar-Pei; both were quiet, gentle, lovable companions. I'm sure whichever dog you eventually choose, it'll be the love of your life and bring you years of joy.
OT...I have two young nieces who are expecting babies. We were talking over the holiday. Neither one of them had any idea what the phrase "the rabbit died" meant.
Really. I had to explain the whole wait-until-you-missed-your-second-cycle Dr. appointment procedure. ====
lol! Ah, youth. And by the time you hitched the horses up to the wagon and got into town to see the doctor, you were three months pregnant.
Oddly, "the rabbit died" does seem like the dark ages now and yet it wasn't really that long ago.
Thanks, Working Woman! My newly employed friend is also a food bank client and they have struggled so hard to make ends meet as her husband was laid off, rehired, laid off, etc. I kept it casual but wanted to tell her I am soooooo happy for her, but knew she would cry. She said, "Did you find everything you came in for today?" I said, "Yes, and something I didn't, a big hug!" The guy behind me laughed and asked if he gets a hug too and she blushed.
I'm sorry I don't recall which poster asked about epilepsy, but there are excellent resources out there. There are varying degrees, many causes, and many solutions. Traditional meds, dietary changes, environmental changes, chinese herbs, acupuncture, gold beads... the list goes on. There is NO one answer. Here are a couple good websites that may help.

Tucker's Mom, this family has their work cut out for them with this little girl. Her mom's a porn star (not a secret, even to the kid), completely abandoned her. You wouldn't believe what has gone on already.....baby steps. She'll be fine, I hope, and her new sister too, who has just faded into the background with all the drama. I hope she feels safe and secure soon and stops all the testing........ They ARE angels. I could not have done it, especially to the detriment of a tight family. But fingers crossed and prayers said that things level out soon. She is a very lucky and blessed kid.
I'm so glad that one friend got the job at the local grocer's before Kate did. I'm sure she's been looking for something just like that. The boss would have to set up cameras before there would be any hugging of customers with her.
Working Woman, PJ is a little a-hole and came with that name (he was my dad's dog, my dad was also an a-hole, this dog definitely has his personality) so we speculate that his name might be short for Pipsqueak Jerk. We just don't know! On a good day, we call him Satan in a Hot Dog Suit. But we love him, we just can't help it. He has taught us a lot about patience, among other things.
Mona, that's funny - maybe someone SHOULD set up a camera like that for Kate - she could get some press for showing some unabashed love for someone/thing. She could be on Radar again!

For those who are interested, here are my impressions of Les Miserables.
Hugh Jackman is absolutely remarkable as Jean Valjean, heart-wrenchingly good, such a talent, he embraces the role with such honesty. Ann Hathaway performance is beyond description, she has a beautiful voice. Russell Crowe plays his role with such conviction, his singing voice seems untrained, but nevertheless still wonderful. The fact that everyone is singing live (and not dubbed in) makes the movie in my opinion. It is a beautiful film, especially for die-hard fans of the story and music. I cried like a baby.
What was surprising was the half-empty theatre, mind you, I did go to an 11:30 a.m. movie! No matter the hour, I don't think there was a dry eye in the house.
The reviews have not been universally good with some complaining of the directing and that there is no spoken dialogue. I was so engrossed in the characters and the music, I cannot say there was anything but emotion for me.
Not an easy task putting this stage play on the big screen, but I must say I enjoyed it immensely.
Jumping In said... 188 For those who are interested, here are my impressions of Les Miserables. ****** Thank you for the review. The Washington Post review I read was probably 2/3 favorable, but the "man on the street" reports are glowing. Lots of moist eyes at the end, when the WaPo said the movie is really tour de force.
Thank you, Jumping In. I've seen the stage version at least 7 times and love it so much. In previews, it almost sounded like they were singing a couple notes down, but it's hard to tell in a short clip. I think I will treat myself next week because when I break into "Will you join in our crusade, who will be strong and stand with me" my husband rolls his eyes. There's no spoken dialogue in the stage version, DUH, what's the problem? It's a MUSICAL, sheesh!
For anyone interested, we saw Life Of Pi last week, which is visually stunning but very dark and depressing. At that one, hubby elbowed me sharply and said, "I cannot believe you made me see this instead of This is 40!" He hated it.

I'm guessing that it is artificial synovial fluid (3 shots a week apart); 2 names that I know are orthovisc and synvisc. Helped my knee a lot for the past several years. ............... I mixed up the different shots he's gotten. The Synvisc-One didn't really help him. Apparently, the cortisone shots every 3 months do.
I just ordered some LubriSyn from Amazon for him - it's supposed to come sometime between Jan. 3 - 8. Hopefully, it will come by the 3rd. The reviews seem pretty good. I hope it works for him, I will let you all know. The cold is really bothering him - he took the dog for a walk and when he came back, he was walking stiff-legged up the sidewalk to the house. :/

As the mother of an adopted daughter I did my own little happy dance around the kitchen table. I'm so happy for this family! My daughter is now 28 and married but she's still my baby forever and ever. I wish them a lifetime of happiness! Your post perked me right up.
God bless you, Jo. Hollie is 12 and confused and sometimes angry at what has happened in her life, but she's coming around and there is no nicer nor better/patient family that I know for her to be with forever. We're happy for her too!
Millicent, You and I are thinking along the same lines. Before I read your post, I was thinking about why I would be jealous of KK. There are a few things I COULD be jealous of, but not the things she thinks would inspire jealousy. Her parents are still living. BUT she has no relationship with them. My dad has been gone nearly 30 years and my mom 15. We had some royal battles and screaming matches, especially during my teen years, but they loved each other deeply and loved me and I them. I miss them every day. KK has siblings. BUT she has little or no relationship with them. I'm an only. She has a big house. I have a small house, but it's more than adequate for me, AND it's paid for. She has 3 vehicles. I have one car. It's old, but it gets me where I need to go, handles beautifully, AND it's paid for. She's tall -- well, compared to me, she is. But she slouches. Maybe it's because I'm a singer, but I learned to stand straight, shoulders back, and FACE people, not stand sideways. She doesn't work. I'm retired, but that just frees me to do the things I want to do, like read, sing, volunteer, spend time with my friends, interact with all you great people here. She's made a pile of money. I worked in the public sector and in service jobs all my life, so I never made a pile of money, but I have enough to pay my bills and to indulge, at least somewhat, my passion for books. AND, I earned it myself. I didn't pimp out 8 kids to do it. She had a husband who adored her and would do just about anything for her. BUT she threw him out. I'm single. She has 8 children. I don't have kids. THIS is the only thing she has that I could be jealous of. Her 8 beautiful, healthy children. BUT, she doesn't appreciate their individuality, their unique personalities and talents. She's only interested in what they can provide her, not what she can provide them. That's a shame. I have loving friends, some of whom I've known since childhood. Who are her friends? A couple of paid minions and some anonymous tweeties. Jealous of KK? Not on your life. I wouldn't have her life if my life depended on it.
12 is so often a tough time even in kids with no unsettled history. My best thoughts for Hollie and her family as they toss and turn with the tide of the tween years.
I'm not entirely sure Kate's posture is something she can help. I think her upper spine curves forward making her head jut out which makes her shoulders look rounded. I think it's the way she came and can't do a thing about it without some very major surgery - which may not help in the long run.
As a person with scoliosis, I am quite attuned to spinal problems and notice them in others.
Thank you, fidosmommy, I know they would appreciate that. They really wanted to jettison the ex-stepdad out of her life, he is the one who told her that her mom is a porn star and her stage name, and that's all the kid needed to go investigating for herself. You can just imagine what she found. He has no boundaries. Now that it's all legal, they will definitely be limiting his access to her more and more.......they were stepping lightly so he wouldn't cause more problems and cost them more $$$ than he already had. It worked. Thank God.
Millicent, that was a fantastic post about why you are not jealous of Kate. I agree that many of us have so much more (not money) of the things in life that really matter. Kudos to you.
OT question: to those of you with grown daughters, do you sometimes get into major disagreements with them? My daughter and I had a falling out and it hurts when these things happen. I'm sure it will work itself out, but she told me she is not coming out here this weekend for New Years because of it. I'm saddened not to see my boys for the holidays, but there's nothing I can do at this point except keep the lines of communication open. Sorry for this post. I've already talked to family and my best friend, but was curious as to how others would best handle this situation.
It has to do with my hubs' smoking cigarettes, which he has done since he was 14. He never smokes in front of the boys, but it has become an issue with my daughter. Don't know what to do.

«Oldest ‹Older 401 – 600 of 1136 Newer› Newest»Hi all!
Good to know what other folks experience... thanks!
We're, not we'll....... sorry.

Permanent Name, I mean, sorry! Dmasy, I agree with your post as well :)

I don't come on as often any more, but find myself reading once or twice a week. Can't stay away, LOL!!!

I like how Kate's fans or sheep say how jelly we are.
But they never say of what our jealousy come from.

//////////////
Dmasy, no I do not believe she can. I have read here some people wishing for a Kate free 2013. It can be for anyone who wants it by simply not reading her twitter or writing about her. Kate is only as relevant as you make her.
What is there about Kate Gosselin to be jealous of? Please sameo...enlighten us.
So, how's that Fiscal Cliff?
Just kidding- that was my feeble attempt to draw the attention this way....'look over here' LOL
Hope everyone is making it safely through the weather.
Ah, Sameo.......
You went one statement too far, honey.
I agree butterly...new subject...current one has gotten quite repetitive and boring.

I can't tell you what I know, how I know it, what (or whom) it is about, but if you knew what I know then you'd know what I know and eventually it will come out.
Sending warm thoughts to those of you having cold winter weather (says she who is sitting in mid 60 degree weather in the southwest).
Butterfly,
LOL! I like your attempt! I'll bite...
Where did I say "she has so much"? Whatever she has is of little lasting value,as far as I can see. Kids aside, of course.

Kate has 8 kids.
That's how she got what she got no?
What else has she done besides having 8 kids to earn her way in the world.

Is it okay to be jellus of you?

NJGal51,
LOL! You must be related to Maxwell Smart :-)
Paula,
I am anxiously awaiting Downton Abby.

She can't even work at CC without reminding people that she has 8 kids.
This time, in this holiday season, after the tragedy in CT, my tolerance for shit is just about exhausted.

Permanent,
I answered respectfully the questions some of you asked.
Here is something else we will not agree on. Yes, I do believe some of you are jealous of Kate.

I just want the good bra, and I wish that she would reveal the name of the manufacturer.

Once again what am I jealous of?
Sameo,

Movies: anyone here seen Django Unchained yet? I generally like Tarantino films. one dd saw it today with the bf, she said it is bloodier than other Tarantino films she has seen.
Anyone here seen it? I'm probably going to see it in the next couple weeks anyway, the dh and I love spaghetti westerns and I read he directed this film in that style.
I agree with Sameo. Just because you don't like the answers doesn't mean you have to talk to them so disrespectfully.
Who's being disrespectfully?
Working Woman here
Sameo, thanks for posting and I do appreciate your honesty with my questions.
Yep, Jon is the big user of those kids.

Here we go again. Same shit, different pile. You sheep need to come up with some fresh material. This stuff is getting old.

Let's not forget the last stunt of Kate showing off Maddy's legs.
And she didn't find anything wrong with it.
(Sorry to bring that up)
I have a vision of a cabal of ewes meeting to discuss timelines, responsibilities and strategies...
**
"Well, I had 22 replies to my comment about Jon having something to hide that no one knows but me".
Auntie Ann, Sameo says goodbye and Disappointed Regular pops up. I think you called the pattern.
Let's watch for next attempt...
Last post by Anonymous was me, Working Woman! Sorry, not the Anon from earlier!
Working Woman, don't feel too bad. I got drawn in also. I will try to show greater restraint tomorrow!!

Dmasy, I think right after the jellus comments is when it gets ugly. We'll see.
Why do I find this mildly entertaining? Shame on me.

Excellent post
But really, don't you think it's true?!

Thank you readerlady, you are absolutely correct. We live and we learn, and tonight I have learned what not to do anymore.
Wishing everyone a good night's rest!
MJ,
I just talked to dh - he had the Synvisc-One shot. It didn't help him. What he gets now every 3 months is the Cortizone shot which helps him for usually about 2 1/2 months.
I'm glad the Synvisc helps you, this stuff is no fun. Thanks for posting about your experience. :)
Readerlady,
I think you are very right - it's been so long since I watched it. Didn't they actually have to return to England before or during the war...
Now I have to rent it again; I seem to have lost some of the plot line. I love to watch shows over and over again. I see new things every time I watch it.
Jon's not Mensa -- OMG that is SO funny!
And that just might be true, but he has a heart and soul, something Kate is missing.
I am thoroughly amused by the trolls who swing by here. There are days I just laugh quietly to myself and other days I decide "why not?" and
reply. In my book, it's pure entertainment for a quiet evening at home. Since I'm not a movie watcher and not into any of the current TV shows, it really does add some laughs to my evenings.
You might go so far as to say that I'm using them for #SuperFunAtHome!
I'm heading to bed. The computer is next to a door and my feet and legs are getting cold from the draft.
I'm going to have to order some of those thermal drapes... it's COLD here. I'm getting too old for cold winters. Brrrr.........
Yeah, Sleepless, if they want to entertain us, who are we to say no? :-)
This has never been a case of "If you paint Jon in a bad light, Kate will be proven a Saint!"
)$$
It's a basic debate rule anyone should be able to grasp. You can't defend hitler by trying to say but look see how bad Stalin was!! And no I'm not comparing anyone to hitler relax, I'm just using the classic example debate teachers use to teach their kids to debate better. When I see someone using such a cheap tactic it's very annoying and elementary. Grow up.
Yeah, Sleepless, if they want to entertain us, who are we to say no? :-)

Great. Now I have that song from Gypsy running through my head!
Let me entertain you,
Let me make you smile...
Let me do a few tricks,
Some old and then some new tricks;
I'm very versatile.
So let me entertain you,
We'll have a real good time.
Sleepless,
Ha! Now picture Kate dancing to it!
G'night!
Admin, you can literally say that you are hangin' with the COOL kids now!
Good morning all!
Hope everyone has a great one.

****************************
To Permanent Name and MJ:
So Xmas is over for Kate. Hmm, no pics. Will she be talking about her New Year's plans?

WTH!!! You are jumping on me for being concerned about a former President.
I've been here since the inception of this board...hardly a sheeple.
Ah, but when one makes mistakes, he should learn from those mistakes
$$$
Bingo there's the difference. An unkind word, a lie, a cruel act, and many other things can almost always be forgiven if the person recognizes the problem, apologizes, and works very hard to never let It happen again. Courts even routinely give kids back to child abusers as long as they feel comfortable the parent has reformed. I see very little introspection from case and really no real effort that I can think of to even admit most her problems let alone try to fix herself. And there's where it goes beyond "everyone makes mistakes". Way beyond.

However, one incident occured with my cat, that
makes me assume (yeah, dangerous, I know) he would turn aggressive if he sensed turmoil.
I had the cat carrier on the kitchen counter, and was trying to cage the cat who resisted with
tremendous vigor. My Dobie watching the cat's upset, put up such a fuss, barking in a tone I had never before heard from him (actually, rebuking ME) that i had to take the cat and the carrier into another room. If my Dobie would protect my cat can I be far behind?

Good luck Franky!
May 2013 be the year in which I am finally able to adopt a dog in need, thus finally be able to join your doggie conversations! I am going to grad school in the fall and will have a lot on my plate, so the timing will have to be right.
I love reading about your furry loved ones. :)
although mamesan
my biggest dogs were really small.

What is that old saying about a red herring? Isn't that the usual MO when something is amiss. KT may be bad but she is not the only one?
Kate said last night that she and the big girls were in her room playing iPad games. It sounded like C&M have iPads. So ipads and iPhones for the girls and Kate thinks that they're not on the Internet? Kate does live in a dream world. All they need is a WiFi hot spot and theve got access. School library, friend's house, stores, etc. Our Dillards is a WiFi hot spot and has the network posted on the door if you want to connect. It's easy to clear your search history and Kate would never be the wiser. My iPhone (5) automatically defaults to WiFi if it's around.
Fresh snow is over 20" deep - this is how far she made it from the door lol
now is over 20" deep - this is how far she made it from the door lol

I am sorry for the loss you experienced.
May you find a wonderful new rescue that loves and needs you with all his or her heart.
I feel so safe having dogs in the house.

Permanent,
I answered respectfully the questions some of you asked. Because you don't like the answers about some reality stars you choose to disrespect the victims of Shady Hook by implying the two are somehow equal! Don't worry I am out of here. And may God forgive you.
************************************************
It's Sandy Hook, you cretin. Why don't you show some semblance of respect and at least get the name right. I hope you and all your iterations of stupidity will stay away. Good riddance.

Good morning all!
Working Woman
Nada.
Oh well, what can you do?
Working woman,
Your recognition of the two tell signs is pretty insightful!
OMG, whoever figured sameo stands for 'same old' - that's hilarious!!!! Excellent call :-)

Look out tonight for someone else in the cabal to try to out-do sameo's record. ha ha ha
Ya gotta laugh, right?
The reason I asked Sameo the jealousy question is that this, to me, is one of the tell-tale signs of whether the poster is a rational person or not.

It's like invoking Godwin's Law.
Thanks
Lilly, sorry, but I have a travel blog attached to that and don't want certain people (not you) to access it and don't want to make the blog private. It's just a picture of my dog yawning from under a blanket. I have a pic of him wearing the other dog's hair on his head from her furminator session and he looks like Donald Trump! I think I'll change it to that one!

Permanent Name, I would be proud to hand out with your scathingly brilliant inner bitch anytime!
Hope everyone had a happy holiday!
Lilly,
How do I do that?
Formerly Duped,
One thing I've been really surprised at is that the actors in Les Mis can sing... who'd have thought that Hugh Jackman and Ann Hathaway have such good voices?
I too will wait until the crowds die down a bit.
And now, really and truly, I'm off to scrapbook. I'll try to make it back tonight to see the sameo competition try to break her record.... as surely as night follows day, the ewe cabal will appear tonight.
Wonder if we'll see any new strategies....
Bye for now.

Jumping In,

Hanging my head in shame. Sameo sucked me right in last night... "scathingly brilliant" and logical replies to her from me.
Whichever sheeple arrives tonight -- I will NOT (repeat to myself) get drawn in. No matter what inviting question is asked of us....NO, I will not respond.
You all will help me tie my hands down, won't you? Working Woman and I can be our own support group.
But Dmasy - it was so entertaining - I kept on snickering and saying 'take that Sameo' and no I didn't get it either for the longest time - now we know the secrets to those posts
Don't feel bad...
Lilly, I love your kitty in the snow photo.
I thank Sameo got me with her respectful and "teachable" approach.
Who knows, maybe we did plant some seeds of logic in her Kate thinking.
Working Woman here
Lol Dmasy, I will support you and gladly join you in your restraint against the sheeple.

I seem to miss all the sheeple action! What time do they come on, and how many?? What is the point?

Working Woman
Jazzy for a nickname I meant, not Jazzy for short! Oy. :)

Working Woman here
Millicent, you are clearly a wonderful soul who is very blessed. Good for you for appreciating that and valuing what is truly important.
Thank you for sharing. :-)
Great post Millicent!
Millicent, excellent post.
Working Woman here
Hoosier, amen x 100!

I am waiting for the crowds to lessen to see Les Mis, one of my all-time favorite Broadway shows. I know the score inside out as do my kids ( who once staged their own stuffed animal version- beat that, Kate, lol!)The movie trailers look marvelous.

Yes, they do. I don't know if it's already been mentioned but did anyone see Anne Hathaway give Matt Lauer a classy spanking? The guy is a jerk. Trust him to focus on what's NOT important and totally irrelevant to Les Miserables.

Auntie Ann 117. I "luv" Tony Bourdain. I will not watch the
Kahlahari show again though.
Do you have and opinion about Zamir?
=====
Now Tony I am jellus of. I want his job. Well, most of it. Was Kahlahari the one where they ate that boar, butthole and all? Eww. Even iron-gut Anthony seemed disgusted. I haven't caught too many of the episodes with Zamir . What I've seen of him I like. He seems like a character.
Well said, Millicent.
FYI, I think that you are beautiful the way you are.
As for me, I feel pity, embarrassment, and horror on occasion, but never jealousy for Kate.
I would love to feel happy for her, I really do.
But she's such an assh*le.

Remona Blue, excellent idea! I'm in :)

Perm name 134:
Two thrilling (for me) things today:
My long-unemployed friend is working at little local market!
Hope this was helpful.

PJ how wonderful for both of your friends! Wow!
Best of luck to the first friend with her new job :) Exciting new stage in her life.
And wishing your other friend, her spouse and her new blessing Hollie all of the love, health, and happiness in the world.
Love hearing of wonderful things happening to good people who deserve and appreciate it.
And PJ they are all so lucky to have you for a friend, someone who is so genuinely happy for them!

lol!
PJ is my dog, haha, my real name is Kim.
Here are a couple good websites that may help.
http://canine-epilepsy.com/
http://www.canine-epilepsy-guardian-angels.com/

And a yahoo group that is excellent:

Good luck to you! Sounds like you're not the only one in here that has dealt with it. Keep your chin up and remember that MANY epileptics have very full lives.
PJ, I don'tknow YOUR friends and I am smiling from ear to ear with joy because you shared their news with such glowing love.
Auntie, you changed the smile from PJ's Momma to a coughing laugh over the horse and buggy remark.

Adoptive parents are angels.
She is a very lucky and blessed kid.
pj's Mommy, congrats to your friends!
I'm so glad that one friend got the job at the local grocer's before Kate did. I'm sure she's been looking for something just like that. The boss would have to set up cameras before there would be any hugging of customers with her.

That's so nice PJs Momma. :)
And yes I just called you PJ to shorten your blog name lol. Pj is such a cute name for a dog, what does it stand for?
Working Woman, PJ is a little a-hole and came with that name (he was my dad's dog, my dad was also an a-hole, this dog definitely has his personality) so we speculate that his name might be short for Pipsqueak Jerk. We just don't know! On a good day, we call him Satan in a Hot Dog Suit. But we love him, we just can't help it. He has taught us a lot about patience, among other things.
Mona, that's funny - maybe someone SHOULD set up a camera like that for Kate - she could get some press for showing some unabashed love for someone/thing. She could be on Radar again!

Also wanted to apologize to Localyocul for misinterpreting her kind words. Please forgive.
Most of the time I understand the connection to the ad that appears at the top of the page...in a vague way, they make sense.
Tonight, I am offered a once in a life time chance to train with the Rockettes. Major disconnect, I think.
I will start practicing my kicking tonight, just in case they are serious!

Thank you for the review.

It's some kind of fluid? Not sure what exactly, but it helps the pain
alot for the first couple months. Our insurance will only pay every 3
months 115
I'm guessing that it is artificial synovial fluid (3 shots a week
apart); 2 names that I know are orthovisc and synvisc. Helped my knee
a lot for the past several years.
...............
PJ's momma said... 172 So Hollie is now their daughter!
************************************************
12 is so often a tough time even in kids with no
unsettled history. My best thoughts for Hollie and her family as they toss and turn with the tide of the tween years.
Auntie, you remembered my party footwear. I feel loved.
Have we told you lately that you are hilarious?
It worked. Thank God.
Hi all. Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday.
