ABC officially announces Kate on 'Wife Swap'
After months of rumors, it's official. Kate will swap places with Kendra Wilkinson on the premiere of Celebrity Wife Swap, February 26th. The poor Gosselin kids. And poor Hank Jr.!

If anyone watched Kendra's show, there was an episode where she took Hank Jr to a talent agency and he clung to his mom. They may have done a few pics.
Kendra is just like Kate, wants her kid in show business. Hank mentioned it to a friend and friend told him not to do it.
Kendra is also very jealous (shocked) of any woman he comes in contact with.
The NFL has made it clear that they are not happy with reality shows that include players. I don't think Hank was picked up by a team this year. Hank needs a job so Kendra has both of her men do a reality show with a different twist then her show.

I agree that there is something ''off'' with KK. I think the reason she does something so stupid as to love her 'protectors' on twitter is not easily explained. I wonder if it is really something as simple as KK's low IQ, combined with her narcissistic ego?
I honestly don't believe KK takes the time to read any timelines of the people she responds to. Instead, she scans twitter, and her mind locks onto certain keywords, and she either rt or comments without a single brain cell rubbing against another. When I look at kate and Kendra, kate looks like Kendra's mother! Not just snarking, it is true, at least that is what my eyes see. The thinner kate gets, the older she looks, her face is so gaunt, which really ages a woman. She will not be aging gracefully. I notice that women who get face-lifts, still have their sun-damaged, wrinkly necks and chests. Or maybe they are able to fix necks now.I have seen her draw attention to her crow`s feet, by trying to cover them up using a light concealer, but it just makes them look even worse. It is so sad that her priorities are how she looks and how much attention she can get. She is just sad.

Ex nurse absolutely. If you have legal custody yes. Or you can do it over their objection and force them to take you to court. Many wont or can't. Many contracts only require "a" parent or guardian to sign not both. It is up to the parents to duke it out in court if the other objects.

One more thing about the ship, prairiemary. It has no stabilizers. It had been listing at one point. To pull a cruise ship along side a ship that was in high waves with high winds and to try to get those people off safely would be impossible. I cannot for the life of me think that any judge would be able to condone 8 children being left in the care of a known porn star for a week. This is so reprehensible, it is child exploitation at its very worst. I can only imagine the cruel comments that these children will be subjected to from their peers,especially the twins, as a result of this show. I am beyond disappointed that this was allowed to happen and if these were my children, I would do everything possible to get an injunction so that this offensive mess would not be shown. I think that KK just confirmed my speculation that I made earlier today. Kirkland-this episode was filmed back in October around the time Kate got fired from CC.
The law wasn't in effect then--in fact it wasn't voted on until Oct. 25. It went into effect at the end of January this year, so the law would have no effect on the filming of that episode.
Although I would think Kate would've had to apply for work permits for the children, just like she had to when filming her show. I'm sure ABC made sure that was taken care of.

Rhythm Of Life-I think Kate may have taken the picture on another day, because she knew what she was going to blog about and wanted a picture to go with it. She could've written the post and then taken the picture afterward.
Although her blog appears on Thursdays, she probably sends it in a day or two before. I've noticed that all 4 of her posts were posted at exactly the same time--12:31pm. Most likely they're set up in advance to post at that time each week.
I don't agree with the people who say that Kate will be heavily edited and shown in a good light. ABC is looking for ratings and drama and acting like an asshole brings rating. If Kate gives it, they will show it. I've seen a couple of the regular Wife Swap shows and they don't hold back on showing people's nasty behavior. However, Kate might be on her best behavior. Ha!Ha! I crack myself up. We all know Kate's best behavior SUCKS! Unfortunately however, if the kids don't behave, that will be shown as well. But this is Kate and she wants to be on TV. Went to ABC's website and they are not even promoting the show. Punched in Celebrity Wife Swap and it came up with zilch. Like any show that Kate is on, I will not be watching. Believe me, the Tweeter is not Anonymous, at least the Anonymous that makes the papers (protesting Scientology, hacking Westboro, etc). I mean, they might align themselves with Anonymous (since it's not an organization in a formal sense, there are no "membership requirements") but I get the feeling they've only heard about Anonymous and never have actually interacted with any members. My reasons (knowing a few members myself an being a general tech nerd):
1) Anonymous as a whole doesn't target private citizens, unless they suspect that said citizen is doing some awful sh!t. And then, they don't actually investigate that person unless they have strong reason to believe there is something going on.
2) They're pro-LGBT (the account has stated several anti-gay slurs)
3) They are against child exploitation (they have helped bring several pedophiles to the attention of authorities)
and most importantly...
5)Anonymous doesn't flippantly announce what they're going to do on Twitter

Lol, thank you, Joy! I LOVED "Beavis and Butthead" as a kid– I was only about 7 or 8 when the show was on, but I had older "MTV Generation" brothers who let me watch it and other delights with them. When my oldest brother got married in another country, my younger-older brother had to babysit me for a week while the rest of the family was overseas– he took my 11-year-old self to "Beavis and Butthead Do America".
Our folks were not pleased.

A few tweets more and we quickly realized they were teen boys and bullies threatening illegal activity and not behaving as "real" hackers do. This is what I wonder. This was quite easy for us to spot. It clearly wasn't for Kate. If she can't see the most obvious warning signs that we see so easily, how is she going to do it in her real life? How will she recognize when a child is depressed or perhaps turning to drugs? How will she recognize when a child is doing more with a boyfriend or girlfriend than just kissing? How will she recognize when a child is hanging around with the wrong crowd? I mean her IQ and common sense are so impaired I just can't imagine the teen years are going to be anything but a living hell for her, with eight kids stomping all over her making mince meat of her.

I'm not going to condemn Kate for not recognizing what a "real" hacker is like (to be honest, most people see hackers as something out of "The Matrix"), but the complete disregard for her children's safety is reprehensible. Not in a general, "they shouldn't be on TV" way– but, she's condoning hacking. She has 8 minor children, 2 of which are preteen girls. All of them, despite her claims, undoubtedly have some sort of Internet presence.

It's about people who were talking about getting back at people who don't like her by stealing bank accounts and other personal information, no matter what label you want to give that activity, it's just common sense it's not appropriate. Kate called this "love." She can't play dumb on this one. This morning it was crystal clear what they wanted to do in her name and she called it love. Nothing she says really should shock me anymore, but that really did. Like others have said she just jumps on whatever is shiny to her and doesn't take the time to at least breathe and THINK about it for a second. Think about how it looks to condone that kind of behavior. Maybe read a few more tweets before following someone and professing how much you adore them. The bottom line is, hackers or not, she just didn't THINK before she acted and now wants to play dumb.

I haven't had a chance to read all the comments, so I apologize if I'm repeating something that's already been written. But here are my thoughts:
1) ABC hired Kate to do Celebrity Wife Swap for ratings. They know the kind of person she is, they worked with her before. They know that she polarizes people and that they will tune in to see her. I'm not going to sit here and tell people not to watch the show. You're all adults and can make those choices for yourself. I won't be watching it on television because I don't have cable and I certainly wouldn't pay good money to purposefully download the show on Apple TV. I won't be watching it on HuluPlus or online because a) I don't like the show to begin with and don't watch it and b) I don't really care what Kate Gosselin does anymore. There are better things and people to occupy an hour of my time. If there is a recap here, I will read it so I can participate in the discussion.

Twitter reminds me so much of junior high school. All the drama and b.s. and needing to be up in everybody's business. I don't know, I just find most social media tedious. I like that it can connect you with family and friends and it is a good way to stay up to date but I frankly don't need to know everyone's thoughts and actions they minute they think or do something. Isn't there a difference between identity theft and hacking? Identity theft involves the taking of information without the person's knowledge and using it for financial gain. Hacking is obtaining that information for the purpose of harassing or exposing personal information. I thought it only becomes identity theft when someone poses as the person whose information was stolen and uses it for obtaining credit cards, a mortgage, etc.

Yes, this is what gets me. What a golden opportunity to learn how to produce or perhaps some other job on set. Just tossed into the wind. How many people who have such ambitions would absolutely die for the chance to be on a set like this all the time. The contacts, the learning opportunities. This is how actors who are interested in such things get their start. They make several episodes of their show and watch, listen, learn and ask questions and then one day ask, hey what would you think about me directing? Next thing you know they've got directing credits and are well on their way. There is no sense of motivation here to chug this train further down the track. I picture sort of a 12 month old with their arms outstretched and mouth open wanting Mommy to feed them the baby food. FEED ME. She wants the shows and fame dumped in her lap but doesn't want to do any of the work to actually make something more out of this.
I've never been on TV before but for Kate to continue referring to it as "work" makes me crazy. She isn't an actress. She gets her hair and makeup done, gets to just be herself when the cameras roll. There can't be anything difficult about it. Going to work every day as a police officer or teacher is "work". I just have never understood how she justifies the cushiness of what she does. Her ego knows no boundaries. Well, it's clear to me now. Kate will never ever do anything but TV work until her dying day. Kate sanctioned the mess; now she has to clean it up. How does she do that? If she calls them off, they could turn on her. Where did they come from? It's unlikely that one night both of them said..."let's get Kate's haters." Someone, possibly one of the head sheeple, contacted them with the information. Kate needs to deal with the fans that set this up and supported it. In the end, it will be Kate's flock that does her in because of their stupidity. They're just too dumb to realize that in their aggressive pursuit of justice against poor Kate's cry of being bullied that they will do her more harm than good by condoning the activities of middle-schoolers.
The money is in T.V. work IF you are working. This is the only real T.V. work she has had in TWO YEARS.
I don't think these contracts are negotiated the same as the regular wife swap show, although that was helpful information. These are celebs with agents and managers, not normal people. They are probably each negotiated separately. However for ONE episode of some dumping ground midseason replacement reality T.V. show I really can't picture her being able to demand more than 20 or 30 thousand dollars if that. Sure that sounds like a lot for just 45 minutes of screen time however, this is the ONLY real project she has done since DWTS TWO YEARS AGO. So what goes on her income taxes this year? 30,000, minus taxes, and her blogging salary. I really wonder if she's taking in more than 50-60 a year. She could make more as a nurse!
Of course this isn't counting what she's dipping into of her savings and investments to keep her afloat. But actual income coming in, is it really that much? A misconception is that people on T.V. make a lot of money. Unless you are top billing red carpet walking, you're not making anything more than a normal middle class salary. Once you are able to jump beyond that salaries can be astronomical, but if you're just some D listers, it's not much. Hence why you see celebs so often get their hands in so many other jars of honey--clothing lines, perfumes and so on. An acting project here and there doesn't always keep that gravy train going much. But royalties from perfume will.

Yes, this is what gets me. What a golden opportunity to learn how to produce or perhaps some other job on set. Just tossed into the wind. How many people who have such ambitions would absolutely die for the chance to be on a set like this all the time. The contacts, the learning opportunities. This is how actors who are interested in such things get their start. They make several episodes of their show and watch, listen, learn and ask questions and then one day ask, hey what would you think about me directing? Next thing you know they've got directing credits and are well on their way. There is no sense of motivation here to chug this train further down the track. I picture sort of a 12 month old with their arms outstretched and mouth open wanting Mommy to feed them the baby food. FEED ME. She wants the shows and fame dumped in her lap but doesn't want to do any of the work to actually make something more out of this.

OT it was good to see the cruise ship get in with no injuries. All the passenger interviews I saw mentioned how wonderful the staff on the ship had been.
More OT, another maritime topic overshadowed by the cruise ship debacle. The Coast Guard and the National Transportation Safety Board are having hearings this week on the sinking of the Bounty replica tall ship last October in hurricane Sandy. There is coverage on a TV station www.wvec.com and also on NPR and a newspaper the Virginian Pilot at pilotonline.com The captain, who was never found, knew the hull had areas of rot. Workers from a shipyard in Maine have testified they were very concerned when the vessel was in drydock just a few months before. The owner of the vessel has pleaded the fifth amendment and refused to testify. The testimony is making it clear this is a tragedy that did not have to happen. The Bounty was classified as an attraction that was moored at a dock, so it didn't have to have regular coast guard inspections.
It will be very interesting to see what recommendations come from this hearing.

The thing is Kate, herself, has told them all to block the bullies so they don't see their tweets. So how are they being harassed/intimidated by something that they cannot see?

Twit, I think that's being kind. She appears to be dumber than a box of hair. She tweeted a picture to Kate of her sleeping child in underwear and saw nothing wrong with it...could not understand that pedos troll the internet for photos like that. It was the "haters" who got her to take it down. You just have to shake your head and hope that eventually the sheeple will come to their senses.

I've no idea how I ended up at Honey Boo Boo's facebook page, but I did. ugh Anyway, you'll never guess what this family did. They went on a family vacation to Disney World - all by themselves! No TLC! FB posts telling fans they'll be happy to say HI, etc was refreshing after knowing the anti-fan attitude Kate has.
Unfortunately, their FB posts also say that they had 1 week off before resuming filming a new season of 12 30 minute episodes.
I wonder what happened to Kate's crack security *team* that they let her wander into this fiasco.

I swore to never watch another Gosselin anything and I mean it. I will read a "recap" here if given by Admin, but I wouldn't blame anyone if they refused to watch this horrible woman reappear on tv. Who is promoting Kate for anything in entertainment? She has no talent, personality, or work ethic. We know this how? It's on film courtesy of TLC.

Well....I think that they're so stupid that we can't figure out what the hell they think they're doing!! As for how this started w/her, I think that this person saw the fake hackers on bullyville, and got them to follow her so she could DM them, asking them to protect KK. Others tracked her down and 'outed' HER, and discovered her husband IS in law enforcement. Still others contacted her husband's supervisor. Since they were (and some still are) so stupid, they could be in trouble for encouraging minors to engage in hacking.
At least that is what I THINK happened. If I'm wrong, someone please correct me.
It seems impossible to even believe that all of this mess is over that stuck on stupid, waste of skin, KK...who is still convinced that SHE is being bullied everyone anyone disagrees w/something she did and/or said!!

Looks like Kate is doing some cleaning up too. Yesterday, she retweeted this, and I copied and pasted it here(it's on the previous page). Today, it's no longer on her twitter feed, tweettunnel or twitiq. It still does show up on Tweetwood.

Did you all hear about Russia getting hit with a meteor that injured 900 people and created a sonic boom. It hit in a mountainous region. The pictures are amazing. If it had hit a heavily populated area it would have been devastating. It was a big ball of fire and left a huge contrail behind.
