I agree ExNurse - except that I really wonder who gets the money from TLC. Just as with the Gosselins, who ended up with the money? Kate. Not Jon, and certainly not the kids, until Kate was forced to put a small percentage into bank accounts for them.
I have a feeling that JimBob Duggar holds the financial reins over his children, even the adult ones. It's yet another way to exert control and keep them "in the fold." No real education, no good money-making skills, and I do believe in the recent episode in Japan, he was seen giving the older girls (including some adult children) money to spend. So it's a job for those kids, but probably one that they don't get paid for. Yet another reason I cannot in good conscience watch any reality tv show featuring minors.

I agree, most of their (particularly the older girls) time is spent taking care of their siblings and the home, but a couple of them were studying to be doulas (or midwives - I don't remember which) and one was taking prerequisite classes for a nursing degree, a number of the older boys and girls are volunteer firefighters, and one boy has a towing and heavy equipment business and is getting into rental properties the same way his parents started.
These things don't excuse or change their over-involvement in sibling child rearing, but I can't overlook the things they are doing that take them out of that environment and that are hopefully expanding their opportunities for something different than the lifestyle they've been born into.

Someone can put her in her place time after time, and she's going to keep coming back stronger (and crazier than ever) because she believes she's a martyr for Kate. He didn't call himself that...it was invented by some tabloid. In fact, in an online article he said that he's not happy about the media's reporting of his sex life because it's none of anyone's business. He said that he doesn't worry about the sex lives of others so why should everyone be concerned with his. The interviewer pressed him and he said he didn't want to talk about it. Midnight(16)-you're right. Someone could flat out tell Milo that all her fawning over Kate is an outright embarrassment for Kate, and she still wouldn't stop. There are times I feel embarrassed for Kate(doesn't last long) with some of the crazy things Milo tweets. Even if Kate herself told her to tone it down, she would feign ignorance, and just say that that's her way of supporting Kate.

Midnight-no I don't think that was a dig at Barb. Someone tweeted Kate about how she did her laundy and forgot to use detergent, and how she had the laundry half dried before she realized it. Kate replied back to her, and then as usual Milo jumped into their conversation, talking about forgetting other things.
Then the original tweeter said something about forgetting where she puts her glasses, they started talking about forgetfulness and that's how that tweet came about.

Well, if there was any doubt before there is none now. Kate wants all the slobbering over to to continue. No embarrassment whatsoever.
Kate's new bog is up and it literally is a pukefest. She talks about her being sick and how the kids took care of her. But that doesn't last too long, because she then has to reminisce about her other past illnesses, and go back to 2006 and describes the "Influenza War of 2006" when she was "gravely ill while taking care of six gravely ill 2-year-olds".
There is a "staged" picture of her lying in bed which was taken by Mady. The title is "What Happens When Mom Is Sick?", but she writes more about when the kids are sick, and how SuperNurse Kate Gosselin comes to the rescue.

As usual, she rewrites history. She tells the story of the vomit-fest we watched on TV when of the tup boys was forced to lay on the laundry room floor. She says ..."Every spare surface of our home became a 'sick bay,' as I call it. I made as many make-shift beds as I could fit anywhere near me in the “main” areas of the house." Now I remember Jon walking in the kitchen door from work (and it was dark outside) and shocked to find a child sprawled out on the laundry room floor. She begins the tale by saying that she had come home from working her 16 hour shift as a nurse EVERY weekend (I thought it was every other weekend) and wasn't feeling well herself. So, did Jon work on the weekends? I think not. He was home on the weekends helping Kate. And TLC filmed it. She wasn't working that part-time shift job any longer.
Also a Facebook commentor said: She tweeted that she got up to make dinner, not that she rested AFTER dinner.
You see, she said in her "bog" that she asked the kids' "permission" to rest in bed and after cooking dinner.
Another emellishment was that she said she was in bed with the door open to hear the kids, but she goes into detail how a smiling child knocked on the door to ask if she needed anything. And this happened a second time.
The comments will be blistering with this blog.
Oh, and the best part...Jon did not exist. She says this: "So my four-day illness became a sort of mass casualty scene, where long shifts, never-ending feedings, baths, and diaper changes were carried out by an exhausted skeleton crew chasing their tails!"
Kate is really a piece of work. "Gravely ill"? What did she have, cholera? And it's really rich how often she talks about appreciating and being positive what she is clearly (based on every single thing we've seen of her) a very negative person. That she needs people like Milo to prop up her ego is really quite pathetic, because, really, how insecure must she be? She's not fooling anyone.

In their very first episode of "Surviving Sextuplets and Twins" Kate said that she worked EVERY OTHER Sat from 6am to 10pm which was 2 miles from her home. And then later on she had to pick up an 8 hr. shift on the Saturdays she wasn't working. Again, Kate worked double shifts EVERY OTHER Saturday not EVERY Saturday as she wrote. And the dialysis center where she worked was 2 miles not an hour drive from her home.

I don't mean to derail this blog into a discussion on the Duggars - but I admit to paying close attention to their story line too. I think one girl was taking some course (on-line?) to be a doula, but as far as I know, nothing more has been shown that confirms she is earning money doing this type of work. As for one who might want to be a nurse - unfortunately with her current level of education, there is no way she'd even get into a nursing program, much less have the chops to complete it. I'm not a nurse, but I have friends who are, and it's quite rigorous.
I think there are probably several reasons at play in why the Duggars purposely seem to keep their children, even the adult ones, at home and dependent on their parents. One is their religious beliefs. The other is that the children must be available for filming, including going on various outings, trips, etc., for the show. If they had real jobs with employers who expected them to show up, on time, except for planned vacations, that would interfere with filming of the show.
To bring the topic more back to the Gosselin saga - what I learned from being a former fan of Jon & Kate Plus 8 is that I strong disagree with allowing children to participate in reality tv shows. They have no real say, they have no real rights nor protections in place, and the money earned by their parents very often is never seen by the very children who helped them get that reality tv show in the first place. I feel sadly certain the Gosselin kids will be lucky to find $10,000 in each of their bank accounts when they turn 18; and I bet the Duggar children probably don't get any of the money earned by their parents for all their hard work on the show either. It's wrong, any way you slice it.

I'd say this is true of all moms, married, divorced, or no dad in the picture for whatever reason. Two times during the past 14 years, I was sick as a dog -- just down with the nastiest flu. But one of those times, my son was little, had an ear infection, and I had to take him to the doctor. I felt like death warmed over, but I did what had to be done.
I know other moms do the same. You just drag through it somehow. And thank Goodness when you are feeling better!
One time my own mom was home alone with about 5 of us younger kids (my dad and the older ones were away on a camping trip). She came down with strep throat - but still had to go grocery shopping, fix us meals, and generally care for us til my dad got home. I'm sure it was miserable for her, but she didn't make a fuss about it. She just did what had to be done.

She's a lying liar. And it's all on film, so she can try to rewrite history all she wants - but it's a pack of lies nonetheless. We all saw poor Joel placed on the cold (cement?) floor of the laundry room with a thin blanket and a bucket for him to vomit in. She left and closed the door!! And went on to explain that she didn't want him to vomit on his comforter. That was her primary concern - that the comforter not get dirtied. And she called him a "vomitous child" when Jon got home. It was a week-day, and when Jon got home and found his poor son, feverish and sick on the laundry room floor, had the humanity (and parenting chops) to pick him up and place him in their bed, for proper care.
Kate makes me want to call her every curse word in the book.
Kate really needs to pay attention when she watches DVDs of "her" show. Everything is on tape. I remember when poor Joel was on the laundry room floor and when Jon came home from work and found him, he was really p*ssed at Kate. Also, I don't believe she worked 16 hour shifts. I know nurses can choose to work 12 hour shifts, but 16 hours would really leave you exhausted where you could not think straight. Didn't the tapes back then show that she went to work at 7am and returned at 7pm?

What has Kate told the local newspapers and in Interviews about her working these double shifts? I can't remember what was disclosed at the time but I think it was two 8-hours shifts, which probably came with a short break in between shifts. Not sure which day of the weekend.

I only watch The Bachelor if I like the bachelor, and I like Sean. Some of them have been so...ugh, don't know how to describe them. This is the first one I watched since Andy Baldwin (An Officer And A Gentleman) was the bachelor, and the reason I watched Andy was because he's a hometown boy and his mom teaches at the kids' school. Sean reminds me a lot of Andy in a way...great family, fine upbringing, smart, and an all-around nice guy.
I hope that Sean's relationship with his new girlfriend lasts longer than Andy's did with Tessa! Andy brought her to school not long after the show ended, and the students were a bit "star struck" meeting them. Unfortunately, like so many outcomes of other Bachelor shows, that relationship didn't work out.

Kate never should have chosen the topic of illness for her blog this week. She can be called out on too many lies. There are videos that will show what she says is not fact. The illness thing (Collin on the laundry room floor, the kids throwing up on the boat, leaving sick kids to get Jon's hairplugs) is a sore subject among moms and Kate should have figured that a blog about how wonderful and exhausted she is caring for sick kids would be met with arguments. Proof exists that she is NOT supermom when it comes to caring for them.

It would not surprise me at all if TLC had done some serious editing of the original shows while kk was still under contract with them and released the edited versions. What we're seeing is so typical of narcissists it's ridiculous. They use hobbies, interests, and people only for attention/money/resources/power and only as long as those hobbies/interests/people produce things for them. The moment they don't? POOF. Gone. (Notice this very much applies to people.)
Narcissists don't really have any hobbies or interests anyway, they're too absorbed in themselves.
Trust me, she will spend the rest of her life flitting from one thing to the next, from one person to the next, sucking the lifeblood and joy out of everything and everyone before moving on. The thing is, as a narcissist gets older, they need more and they need it faster, but they aren't as cute/charming/young/whatever it was that got them attention in the first place. As for the slag word, it really doesn't fit her, since it's British slang meaning approximately "whore." She's definitely not one in the sense of sexual promiscuity, but she whores out her kids like there's no tomorrow.
Based on the timing I think CC had to do with shirking her responsibilities to run off and play reality show with a playboy playmate. Scott has several very family friendly charities he is involved with. And I think had to do with her lifestyle versus real readers who needed coupons. I just wonder though if she has made a list of things to blog about, possibly made up when she got this gig, and then when she decides on the next week's topic, she starts making things up on twitter so that she can write a relevant bog post about it or vice versa.
For instance one of the topics on the list is "Sick Kids". Then she plans her strategy and starts giving out tidbits on twitter about her being sick and then some of the kids being sick. Then voila!, she has a whole blog post on that exact topic four days later.
She said on twitter that she wrote that blog when she was sick. Her kids are catering to her and taking care of the house because she's too sick to do anything, yet she can write a million word blog on her phone, from her sick bed?
I really think she creates these scenarios, writes the blog, and then puts some talking points out on twitter so it appears that it just happened, when it may not have happened at all.

I think the way Scott handled it was perfect...couldn't have been any better. He didn't sugarcoat it, but neither did he do a hatchet job on her. It was exactly as it should been, and he didn't divulge too much because it really wasn't anyone's business why she was fired. He made it quite clear that she didn't leave on her own accord. I don't know if he wrote that himself, or if he had someone do it for him, but regardless, the statement spelled it out quite clearly that Kate was let go because she meet the company's expectations of what was hired to do as a blogger.

And he didn't sound bitter or angry or over the top which would call his credibility into question or make it seem like he has an vendetta. Harsh in the sense that it would be hard to hear, even if true. I think one of the most cutting things you can say to someone is that they are not who they seem. I don't know, it's like it cuts to your very heart and soul. But if it's true, it's true. Not saying it wasn't true, just that he put himself out there to really cut to heart of the matter even if the truth hurts.
Whether it was hard for Kate to hear, somehow I doubt it. I doubt she used the incident to digest his words and think about why he would say that and whether she can learn from it. She probably just did her version of an F-U and went on with her life.

I kind of doubt this. If this person knew it to be true, hes/she wouldn't have tweeted CPS. Berks doesn't have a "CPS." The person would have tweeted the correct name, which is C&Y Services.
While I doubt they know moreso because it is confidential, CPS is commonly used by people all the time even though ours also isn't "CPS" either. (It's DCFS.) CPS is just sort of the universal acronym everyone knows. No one is going to know what they're talking about if they say C&Y. Again I don't understand why we bring ridiculous tweets like that here but I've said that a million times and I'm not going to make it a rule--but I do think all that does is giving people doing it attention and encouragement. Maybe they would stop if we ignored it.

But, I think the inauthentic comment did go way beyond CWS and that was just one of many things she has done that are inauthentic. I wonder if the bulk of it was her posts about saving money and struggling versus her real life on the job demands--VIP treatment, Steve, high salaries and the like. Readers saw through it quickly and I bet so did Scott.
This is a humble, midwestern company with midwestern values. Scott seems like a pretty down home guy. I really can't see Kate's celebrity New York City style demands sitting well with Scott for long.

I can see her lying about how she can do this and that when truthfully she can't. I know she would promote herself as a great writer with great ideas for savings/coupon blogs. Since then she has proved to be a poor writer, wrote blog that had little to nothing to do with coupons and saving money. (Anderson/Tony for one)
She would tell them she has gift of gab to promote CC a lot yet didn't mention it much on her twitter and spent more time at Blogher and elsewhere.
I bet she asked them for a huge expense acct and fancy hotels too which doesn't fit with their platform of saving money.

Sleepovers are always good blog fodder. How about a Behind the Scenes of CWS post? Anecdotes, scenes that never made the cut, how the kids reacted when she got home. People always love behind the scenes stuff. Pioneer Woman does a behind the scenes post for nearly every Food Network episode. She's also doing a series of posts on an old building they are fixing up. Do it yourself projects are always interesting. Two good and interesting things to talk about right there and neither exploit the kids.
I mean, I can think of at least six or seven good topics right now that are at least mildly interesting she could write about, and yet she never seems to get it. What she should do is visit other popular mommy blogs and see what they are writing about. Get a sense for what's interesting and what's not. Also great photos help tremendously. Not just one, but several. She should also try to interact more with her world so that situations that are good blog fodder naturally arise.

I would be mortified if my employees were twittering away about all the free crap she collected. I did not send them on a trip to behave like a greedy little pig. I think it looks embarrassing when the bigger companies who are supposed to be there to represent, act like they are in some kind of swag tent and that this trip is for them, not for the company. You probably shouldn't really participate much in the freebie aspect of it if you are there to work.

Remona-Milo was the one who tweeted Deanna and mentioned negotiations. Apparently something was going on with Milo and some company(DNR) and she was having a hard time. It looks like Milo deleted her tweets regarding it, but she did mention something about it to Deanna. The only tweet about it that still exists is:

She's completely self-involved.
These bit opportunities here and there are not going to sustain her expenses. If I were her I'd be completely freaked right now, wondering how to be able to maintain the standard of living 'she' chose.
Doesn't matter if she promotes some two-bit make-up, tweets a million times about a high-calorie pseudo organic granola bar, or bogs on The Stir, etc.; she's just keeping her head above water because no amount of what she makes doing those activities will ever equal the salary she had on TLC when they were living high on the hog.

GET A JOB! I can't stand when she complains when she doesn't even WORK! We know for a fact that there were dozens upon dozens of people ready willing and able to help this family FOR FREE, from Beth, Carla, Jamie, and Jodi, to all the church goers. And heaven forbid she could be civil with Jon and have him come take the kids or bring her by soup.
She estranges everyone out then wants to be a martyr for doing it alone. It astounds me anyone is falling for this. Anyone.
Of course some people have sick days if they are fortunate enough to have benefits. If you haven't used them all up. And they run out quick when you have kids who get sick or have appointments, not to mention yourself. Sick days are often barely enough to cover an adult let alone their kids. And then you might work at a job where you're worried it would be frowned upon to take them too much. We all know plenty of people who go into work hacking up a storm for that very reason.

I believe them that they started with the premise of Kate. Because her nastiness brought ratings to DWTS so this was take two. They then searched for someone to counterbalance her, as they said. At this point I think they actively looked for another ABC star who perhaps had a current project to promote--a one two punch.
Well Anonymous, I was a real single mom and yes, I got a whopping 5 days per year of sick pay--and unless I was coughing up a lung, I went to work, because those sick days needed to be saved for when my kids were sick.
Gee, do you think the sick kids will be all better in time to plan and put on mommy's special birthday surprises? Betting Kate has her camera ready and her bog piece planned. Maybe Milo will be waiting at the gate.

Sports figures can go far, if they have talent and work hard. Dorothy Hamill is well known to main demographic that watches. Aly Raisman Olympic gymnast, gymnasts have won before. Jacoby Jones, NFL player, others have done well. Oscar the boxer, not as well known, unless he is super dancer may not go far.
Lisa Vanderpump reality housewife, with new pro, may be early castoff.
Imgo is ABC soap star, he's got a big fan base who will vote. Zendaya off Disney channel is adorable, may go far. Kellie Pickler has a down home North Carolina charm, some comedy experience, may go far. Wynonna is partnered with Tony! 'nuff said. DL Hugely, if he can dance, may go far.
