I don't recall seeing anyone wishing Kate dead. I know my mouth dropped open recently when someone wished that Kate would get oral cancer so she wouldn't be able to talk. Nasty stuff. Some of the remarks there by haters are so over the top and so embarrassing with the most vile language that I sometimes can't believe these are adults with families of their own. I think, though, that it's just a few of them who are there on a daily basis who carry on like that, with potty talk and downright lies directed at Kate and about Kate. I noticed a lie today on there, something about Kate that never happened.
Of course, there have been some lunatic Kate fans who have wished that Jon had met with tragic accidents. It's not always been Kate who is under fire. The sheeple, too, have been known to engage in hateful innuendos against the non-fans. What anyone hopes to accomplish with this outrageous, immature behavior is anyone's guess.
I just can't connect the dots.....Kate taking advise from her financial planners. Kate is never done anything that she has been advised to do. Why in the world would she had taken advise from a professional planner. Kate has proven time and time again that she will only do what she wants to do.
So has she been prudent with her money and invested it wisely? I don't know. But it just doesn't make sense that she was do what the financial planner recommended, because Kate knows everything. She's all the one in control. And if the planner told her no, remember to Kate no, never means no.

Celebrity Wife Sway just aired again. A lot people are tweeting Kate with ugly remarks. Kate has been tweeting before, during, and after the show.

When the photographer showed up, we were standing in the room, and this lady was right there. The Photographer was looking around the room and looked right at this lady. Then asked her if she knew who *** was? It was the lady he was looking at!!! I said to her " I thought you 2 were really good friends?" Without so much as a blush she said, " We are. My friend is really good friends with this guys wife!". I looked at the photographer, and he looked at me with a WTF? kind of look, and rolled his eyes.

Hilarious! Besides the psychology of this whole freak show, the funny comments keep me watching too.
Kate tweeted that she has a new post on her website about what they did on their spring break. She talked about baking the cookies, the slumber party, and Mady an Cara getting braces. She even put up a pick of one of them with their braces, though she only showed the mouth.
Then she talked how they had a movie night and watch the movie she had been searching for "The Girl Who Spelled Freedom". However, she says "our local library ordered it from somewhere in our state and had it shipped there so I could pick it up"
This is the movie that she had her fans searching all over the place for, and one finally bought it for her. In fact, Kate even thanked her for sending it:

Kate's writing style is very long winded and boring. Her pictures have no wow factor, only yawn factor. She has no future as a blogger. Not sure what The Stir saw in her. I have read some of the other writer's blogs, and even if controversial at least well written and kept me intrigued!
I was surprised to see the one picture of one of the twins with her braces. Both upper and lower braces, plus colored elastics. Guess that twin doesnt have an over bite as they would not have the lower brackets on yet. Here, the ortho's wont put on the colored elastics until you can prove you do a good job of cleaning. The elastics are only cosmetic and can get food and plaque build up around them.
Also, kate said when she live tweeted the premiere the key to the treehouse was in her room but the kids could get it anytime they wanted. They just didnt want to go get it and then come back....tonight she rewrites history by saying the key is not in her room. She probably moved it since the premier just so she could say that tonight.
Even if the eyerolls were editted and the timing changed up... she still said those things and gave an eyeroll!

Kate wouldn't know anything about that. She's been playing Norma Desmond tonight and tweeting up a storm. This was a tragic accident. A girls lacrosse team was en route on the turnpike this morning, with a game scheduled against our local university this afternoon. The bus driver was killed, as well as the lacrosse coach. She was six months pregnant and the baby didn't survive. Looking at a photo of the crash scene, it's a miracle that there weren't more deaths. There's not much left of the bus.

I know at the time we were a bit skeptical whether the fan was legit, because she said the store was closing in 5 min. but that they would wait for her. But if she didn't send it, why would Kate tweet her a thank you and send her a thank you package.
The bus accident is tragic. I am so sorry. My heart goes out all those who knew these people, their families and the community in general!!

It is sad that Beth (who Aaden use to call Mom according to Kate), Ashley, and Jamie have all been removed from Kate's life. I think Ashley still sees the 8 kids but it is only through Jon not Kate. And we know Beth does not speak to Kate. And I don't know if Jamie is out of her life or not. Yes, she did visit Kate once last summer but somehow I don't they are not very close at all anymore.

The fake account uses a capital "I" for the "l" in Milo, and the exact same avatar. And depending where you're reading the tweets, you can mistake it for the real one.
I think that's even more childish. Creating a fake account to simulate a real fan account.

I just looked at that fan's timeline and she and Kate never had an exchange after that. The fan never said, "Glad you got it," or "Thank you for your gift." Nothing. I have my doubts it was ever sent. The whole thing sounded very suspicious -- what store stays open just so you can run out there and buy a video? Something was strange about it. I wondered at the time if the fan was just blowing smoke to get attention from Kate.

Sounds pretty clear to me that the movie was sent. You wouldn't say that otherwise, especially not a week later, which is about the time the mail would take.
Midnight-the tweet where Kate thanked her for "sending the movie" was tweeted a whole week later after the original conversation.
The fan could have bought it on Sat. Jan.26, and mailed it on Mon. Jan.28. Kate would have received it by Feb. 2. I seem to remember that the fan lives in Arkansas, and 5 days would be plenty of time for Kate to receive it on the 2nd of February.
Also, Kate did start following the fan at the time of the original convo, and she is still following her. Kate is very picky about who she follows. So I would think that Kate would stop following her if she didn't come through.
I know the fan hasn't tweeted Kate since. Maybe she didn't like what Kate sent her. Probably was an autographed picture or something cheap, and the fan felt it wasn't enough considering all the effort she went through.
I kind of feel sorry for her in that she thinks she can write, take photos and she thinks she's good at it. And she exerts hard work on it. That's really sad.
You know how like a high school kid just LOOVES football and plays it all the time and wants to play college so bad? But the reality is he's really only second string and isn't going to make it? I kind of feel like that....sorry for him and awkward that he doesn't realize it.

Another thing--Kate and the fan follow each other. For all we know, the fan could have thanked Kate for the "package" by DMing her rather than through an open tweet.

I remember at the time, when all of that was going down, if the fan was really a fan, and not someone on the other side who was just yanking Kate's chain by getting her excited.

The library ordering the video from across the state sounds a little bit suspicious, too. I suppose it's possible at some libraries but not at any I've been a member of. I've probably been a member of eight or nine different libraries over the years and it's no problem ordering a book or video but it has to be from a library in their branch, and branches are usually just your county. It would be very expensive to be sending books and videos across the STATE. And who is responsible if the book is lost, stolen or damaged? Their library system the patron is a member of or the library of the book/video's origin? Which lending rules to you follow, the origin or the member? What if the patron doesn't return it, will the outside library bother to follow up with it since it's not even their book? Really? I mean, great, if they have the funds and manpower to do it, but we sure don't here. And how did she find out another library had it? Went online? Went to the desk? She is curiously shady on the details of this fanciful story.
As for kate having a great mind for finances? She knows how to invest? Oh Please! I call BS on that. The only thing that kate had was the best attorneys that TLC could pay for. Attorneys who found a way to give kate all the money...to give the father nothing...to give the kids what was it 12% to be split times 8? She even has the ok to use the kids money for anything she wants. Braces...schooling...whatever. Those kids are going to have nothing when they come of age. Financial adviser my ass!

Our library recently joined a multi-county library system. I can request a book or movie from a library halfway across the state. I order it through my branch, pick it up at my branch, return it to my branch.
I think Kate is a compulsive liar. She lies when she really doesn't have a reason to lie. My old boss was like that - and she never seemed to be bothered when caught in a lie - she just denied it and went on as if nothing happened. Kate seems to be like that too.

Admin -- Most libraries I'm familiar with have an Interlibrary Loan system. ILLs can get books/etc. NATIONWIDE! The first step is to check in-state, but if something isn't available, then they expand the search. Usually, the library doing the lending sets the rules (return date, etc.) but the borrowing library checks the book/video/whatever out to the patron using their own tracking system. There are normally heavy fines for late returns, etc. Some library systems charge a nominal fee for the service and some do it for free. I live in a rural area, with a small library system and get books/audio books on ILL frequently. Our particular library system won't do ILLs on videos, but some library systems do.
I give impressionable and inexperienced teens and young moms a pass for being gullible and naive about Kate, but someone who is supposedly educated and on tv as an "expert" about education and children??? It is scary that we have "experts" making statements like this! I think the good doctor needs to reevaluate his judgement @ Kate's parenting based on one cheap entertainment tv show.

Like reader lady, I go to a small rural library that had limited resources. Inter library loan program is available and publicized. There is a small fee for it at my library to help cover costs. And the lending policies of library you use are the ones followed. There may be limits on renewal of the resource, that is you have it for there weeks and then it must go back, something like that.

Actually, I think Mady is taking Kate's pictures, including the nasty food ones. I guess she does ok for 12. I kind of got into the camera around that time. And I don't have a problem with Mady getting photo credit. Probably a big deal to her. As far as the book thing goes, this is typical of a compulsive liar. She literally can't keep her lies straight. Twitter is a two-edged sword for Kate. It keeps her relevant but also calls her out with her lies because it's in WRITING.

I am actually shocked that Kate shared that Spring Break diary. It was the most boring week ever. They did not do one thing outside the house except get braces, and I'm sure "the littles" had a babysitter for that. I really don't understand why Kate won't take those kids anywhere. She obviously has enough money, but there are also plenty of free things to do. Not sure, but I think they had snow. What about sledding and building a snowman? Going to the library (not parking out front and sending a kid in to grab the movie). Libraries also have free passes to many local museums and attractions. There are many inexpensive things to do too. How about going to a local roller=skating or ice-skating rink? A movie? Or to that play place that Kendra brought them to? These kids are way more sheltered than even the Duggars. Kate thinks she has the world's best behaved kids, can't she handle them in public?
I also notice a BIG difference in Kate's writing on her blog compared to on The Stir. She definitely has a co-writer or editor rewriting her posts.

If in fact they did have "water shots" then Kate has probably broken her contract by saying so. CWS is supposed to be a reality show and I'm sure the contract covers things like this. That being said, yes, they can AND DO drink real alcohol on reality shows. In fact there have been articles published on how "getting loaded" is even encouraged on some shows. I'm sure Kate was tossing back real shots and is just trying to play it off because she's being called out on it. As I said, if it was only water with a "pretend it's liquor" (which I doubt) then Kate had better watch what she says because if she signed a contract (which she did) they can come after her for spilling secrets of the show.

I agree, she is a piece of work. Always "re-inventing" reality for her fake image. Big mistake, huge mistake. But then again, we are talking about Kate. She is even throwing Mady under the bus to act like she had access to the tree house. If it was not a big deal," the key to the tree house would have been in the kitchen or area that was not forbidden under penalty of "severeness."
Interesting that Kate even recognized that she is a control freak. And that Kendra was able to take 8 kids to a public place on the spur of the moment without any hesitation or "panic."

I saw the report on the bus crash involving the Seton Hill University women's lacrosse team on TV last night and the death of the pregnant coach and the bus driver. As the driver was pronounced dead at the scene and there were no other vehicles involved, I'm wondering if he didn't have a medical issue, i.e. heart attack. So tragic and my condolences to the families. They really need to install seat belts on buses.
Looked at Kate's picture of her "fish in paper" and all I can say is, "where the hell is the fish?" All I saw is a bunch of veggies, even looked like some lettuce in it, but no fish. Yes, I would definitely call Kate a gourmet cook. Not.
As far as Kate and the video, Kate tweets on 2/2 saying she got the video from the fan and thanking her for it, but she doesn't get around to watching the video until now. I thought she really wanted her kids to see it. Why wait for more than five weeks to watch it. I think she totally forgets what she says and does because once she says or does something it's done and she has moved on to something else. What was said or done before is no longer important so it is erased from her mind. She really is a tool.
It's strange that the person who said they'd get her the video never tweeted again after Feb. 2.
So if you're cooking a corned beef for St. Paddy's day, what method are you using? Stove top, oven, crock pot? This year I'm going to "steam" mine by placing on a rack and filling pan with water (beer or wine?) to the bottom of the rack and cover tightly with foil and place in 325 oven for 3 to 4 hours. In the past I've always placed it in heavy duty aluminum foil with a small amount of water and sealed tightly and cooked for 3 to 4 hours in 325 oven. I've got time to change my mind if one of you has a better cooking method though.

I do have to give Barb credit for questioning Kate about the movie. The way she worded her tweet seems like she was suspicious about it too, yet being a fan she was subtle about it.
She only asked if the library came through, she didn't mention anything about the fan who was supposed to send Kate the movie and that Kate later thanked for sending.
Yet in Kate's reply, she just has to mention the fan and how she didn't send it and also how she was so generous and sent the fan DVDs and a book. Why would she do that, when there was no mention of the fan in the original question?
Looks like Kate was doing damage control again, because she realized (or read) that people remembered the story about the fan.

It's possible, but we had some ice, freezing rain and really messy weather yesterday morning when that crash happened. I don't believe they've said anything yet about the cause of the crash, but my first thought was that the turnpike was icy. There was another fatality yesterday afternoon not far from there and road conditions were the cause of that crash.
If the movie was never sent, then how did Kate get the fan's address? Do you really think she didn't send the movie, but went ahead and sent her her address anyway? For what reason?
The whole movie thing is a mystery. Why would this fan not tweet anymore? Did Kate not send her a check? Or did Kate's leg get pulled? All this drama over some old movie. I guess that is Kate's life now :) Kate never mails something unless its postage is paid for by the recepient. I would love for this "fan" to come out with the real story. I wonder if the whole library thing was made up.

I imagine she did get her movie through a library's interlibrary (ILL) program, as one of those tweets I remember suggested she do - although I suspect that she isn't the actual person who has a library card and ordered it but probably one of her "employees" (can't imagine her willingly giving personal and contact info required for a library card, although it's protected).
Almost every library has ILL now and will request items from libraries across the nation. The materials-owning library determines the check out time, if renewals are allowed, fees for damaged or lost items, etc. The local library where you pick up your material sets any fee for postage, fines, etc. If the item is damaged or lost, your local library is responsible for reimbursing the owning library but you as the patron will be charged for the item.
It's amazing what you can get, if you are willing to be patient. The majority of libraries will loan DVDs and videos through ILL. The items that are hard to get are usually historical or local history or rare books, things like that, that can't easily be replaced. And video games, which are basically stolen or not returned after only one or two checkouts.
I think she just wanted to somehow stick in the phrase "Australia Zoo", lol. You know, to sound so well-travelled and all.
Why didn't she just order the darn movie from Amazon? That $60 is less than her manicure.

I don't know why I believe her this time, but I just do. Something about the fan and her eagerness to get to that store before they closed in five minutes. Something wasn't right there. It wasn't a die-hard fan, like Milo, who would rush right out to get to a store before they closed. Why Kate would send her the gifts, though (and a check?) if she didn't receive it is the mystery. Maybe she wanted to do the pre-pay thing, though, to make sure the person knew that she would get paid for it. If you order something online you pay for it before you get it. Perhaps Kate was doing the same thing to show the fan that she was serious about wanting it, and that the fan wouldn't be out any money if she sent it before Kate paid for it.
There is no way Kate made that "fish in paper." The presentation is too nice, despite the fact that you can't even see any fish.

Playing Devil's Advocate here (and because I love a good mystery). Here's how I see it:
Fan says she found the video and the store would stay open for her. Probably not true, just trying to get Kate's attention. Kate gets all excited and gets the fan's address to send her gifts and a check. Kate sends it before fan sends the video. Good faith.
The whole thing was just to pull Kate's leg, but Kate doesn't know that because she's gullible and thinks everyone loves her. Kate realizes that she's not going to get the video. In the meantime, fan stops tweeting. Disappears with the gifts and the check. Kate is too embarrassed to admit that she's been scammed. Kate orders the video from the library and she gets it in time for the kids to watch it over break (she said that the library told her it might take awhile to receive it).
Did it go down that way? Who knows, but I really don't think Kate is lying...this time.
I like this Barb Gilmer person. yesterday, she and her kids took their outgrown clothes and toys to a homeless shelter rather then a thrift shop for $$. This Dr. Penny thing is pretty typical of people who don't know the history of Kate or fail to do their homework. I know in the beginning I was duped by Kate. She was charming and appeared organized. All that façade fell away when the curtain was pulled back and revealed the real Kate. Today the Johnny Come Latellys (sp?) are taking Kate at face value. IMO that's how she got the jobs at CC and The Stir, and now Dr. Penny is interested in her. It absolutely drives me crazy when people don't do their homework about Kate before engaging with her.

Foxy -- KK may have seen the movie for $60 on Amazon, but the list I brought up didn't include Amazon and the highest price I saw was $24.99, and several had it listed for $9.99. Again, these were DVD format. KK may have never received the movie from the fan, but she was either lying about not being able to find it on DVD or find it at a reasonable price. IMO, she tried to get Disney (It's a Disney movie) to gift it to her and they refused, so she tried to grift it some other way.

So if you're cooking a corned beef for St. Paddy's day, what method are you using? Stove top, oven, crock pot? This year I'm going to "steam" mine by placing on a rack and filling pan with water (beer or wine?) to the bottom of the rack and cover tightly with foil and place in 325 oven for 3 to 4 hours. In the past I've always placed it in heavy duty aluminum foil with a small amount of water and sealed tightly and cooked for 3 to 4 hours in 325 oven. Crock pot for me. The corned beef slowly cooked overnight- over 14 hours in a beer bath.
Everything else was cooked seperately this morning. I roasted red potatoes with onions in the oven, boiled peeled carrots on the stovetop,
and stir-fried shredded cabbage on a wok.
We have rye bread, swiss cheese, and pickles- so everyone will make their own Reuben sandwiches with cooked veggies on the side.
I also bought Irish soda bread...

Cadbury makes different varieties of candy for other countries that aren't available in the U.S. They probably make different varieties of the eggs too.
IMHO that fish in paper = sloppy mess. She thinks throwing all and any veggies together makes a good dish, not. A good cook uses certain, but not all, veggies together with appropriate seasonings. Doubt the kids loved it as much as she thinks.
Corned beef in the crockpot here this year, as we spent the morning cheering on a few adult children running a shamrock half marathon. Will add the cabbage later, going to bake soda bread right now.

VCU played good game, but could not get the three pointers when they needed them. Saint Louis is an outstanding team, I would not be surprised if they make it to NCAA final four! Plus do you know the real tragedy they had to ensure this year? Their coach went out on medical leave in August with heart failure, and died December 1 waiting for a heart transplant. Coach Crews is acting coach, he was at Army previously, came out of a sabbatical from coaching to help his friend at saint Louis, and is still only their acting coach.
If VCU can't make it to final for, I'll be rooting for Saint Louis.

But she doesn't remember which organized place she put it. The kids are put on search patrol, but since they don't really know what they are looking for, they can't find it either. Kate calls the library in a panic, screeching that she has 8 children, and the library comes through for her.
In order to not look like a perfect dolt, she
casually mentions that she never received it.
That way the fan who sent it can assume it was lost in the mail and gets a "thanks for trying" gift to cherish forever, Kate can wipe egg off her face, and the library has done its duty to some citizens of Berks County.

I believe Kate made the dinner. There's no skill involved in making 'fish in paper' and IMO it was far from being a nice presentation - it looked like she dumped an old salad on top and then baked it.
The skill required? Tear off a piece of parchment paper, put a piece of fish in the center, season, place a few sliced vegies on top, season, fold paper closed, bake in oven til done and voila......fish in paper. SIMPLE It's not only simple and quick to make, there is no clean-up involved.
I doubt all the kids were home for her 'gourmet' dinner, either. BTW, I'd hardly call her dinner gourmet.

Sounds good, except for one thing. USPS now has tracking included on all of their packages. It's included in the shipping price. Fan could just pull up the receipt and track it online, seeing that it was sent! UPS also gives a tracking number with all of the shipments.

Will be interesting to see if the solicited tweeter answers. But it pretty much goes along with other tweets that pop up from time to time asking why they're following Kate all of a sudden.
Katherine is mentioned in the book for the first time in an entry from 12/31/2008 and into '09, but the last I see her name mentioned is in May, 2009. Other than special occasions, I don't think she's working for Kate any longer. From the photos Kate posts about her awful looking and sounding dinners and pizzas, I think Kate's doing most of the cooking now.
She just thinks the fish is special because she had it at somewhere that she thinks is fancy and because it sounds foreign and dramatic (en papillote). Surely she knows it's no different than cooking fish in foil on a grill or campfire which of course has been done forever. Some people even use a paper bag. Same thing, different wrapping! Parchment just looks a little "cleaner", that's all.

Sounds good, except for one thing. USPS now has tracking included on all of their packages. It's included in the shipping price. Fan could just pull up the receipt and track it online, seeing that it was sent! UPS also gives a tracking number with all of the shipments.

I've wondered about that. Her family certainly must know. She's spent as much as 12 hours a day obsessing over Kate. I think maybe there's more to this than we know. Speculation about her family is one thing, but what really goes on there is another. I would hope that by now they would have tried intervention or some kind of therapy, but they know her best and realize that nothing would work. It could be a very laid-back family/friends, who just say that she is who she is and just let her go and have fun with it because that's all they can do.

I saw the cover picture on the video of the little girl in the movie. She is Asian and about the tup girls age. Then the movie is called, The Girl Who Spelled Freedom. I just thought it was ironic as all get out! The girl has the same kind of look on her face as the tup girls have and they need FREEDOM from working like mules for their mother. And FREEDOM to go to sports activities and gymnastics and what they want to do.
I think it was so horrible that kate said Mady was lazy about going to get the key. Mady is in no way lazy. She looks so run down because of all the work and all the stress kate puts them through a daily basis.
A picture of Hank, lil hank and Kendra is on ROL and they were taking him to the park to PLAY! They were all smiles, lil hank was on his dad's shoulders and he had a baseball cap on with it turned backwards. They looked so happy and relaxed.
A snowball fight in hades would have to happen for this to happen for the Gosselin kids.
You know what I haven't seen anyone mention yet? This whole thing never should have happened in the first place. Kate never should have tweeted about her desire to find this movie. She knew full well the sheeple would fall all over their wooly selves to try to find it for her and I find it disgusting when people give freebies to a filthy rich family (yes Kate anyone who doesn't have to work at more than a blog or two in A YEAR AND A HALF is rich, I don't care what you say). And when someone allegedly did find it the first thing she should have said was NO that's OKAY I'll figure it out. And if she couldn't find it she should have forked over the 60 bucks from her stingy little paws and do something nice for her kids for once. If kids are even interested in an old movie to begin with---doubt it.

Sherry, perhaps they just humor her and indulge her because the whole family may be a bit "off." Who knows? Wasn't it her husband who told someone (Iwana?) that Milo shouldn't be told about the cancellation of the show because it would be detrimental to Milo's recovery from surgery, or whatever she was hospitalized for? Sounds like they know exactly how obsessed she is, but they just let her go on with it.
All parchment does is steam the fish. I agree, people have been steaming fish and veggies together for decades. It is not an invention of Fig and Olive, it is not new, it is not even trendy unless this is 1998. If anything, it goes against the trend, because you're cooking everything at the same time which takes longer to make sure the fish is cooked through, and the trend these days is to have veggies as undercooked as possible, more nutrients saved.

I think that would be going a bit too far -- too much like stalking, too much like being a nosy busybody, and I doubt if a library is going to disclose that information.

Here's another thing one woman friend would never say to another--"showcased her beauty!" Milo continues her downhill slide to obsession over Kate's looks, her bedroom, her body, her bikini. And let's not forget the time Kate mentioned having wine and Milo asked her she were having it in a bubble bath. This is one creepy he, she, or it!
By the way, the tweet is probably gone now but a few days ago, Milo made a comment about herself as being red-headed and freckled.

I had a thought that this intra-library thing would have been interesting for Kate to explain in her blog. I would like to know more about it. Her blog just put everything she has already said on twitter in long form. Lame.
I have a question. I don't know much about Twitter, but I've been reading Kate's tweets the past few days. Milo is nuts. Kate is even more crazy for not telling her to back off. Milo is obsessed. Non-fans (haters) call her out for her obsession with Kate. I don't understand, though, how her obsession is different from a handful of haters who live on Kate's Twitter page. Checking a timeline for one of them, I saw that she/he was on there for 13 out of 18 hours. How is this not being obsessed? Don't they have families, children?
Furthermore, the garbage that comes out of their mouths is unbelievable -- gutter talk, even attacking a fan who just jumps on there to say hello to Kate. I don't blame Kate for blocking some of these haters. I wouldn't want to read language like that either. It's vile and you just don't attack anyone with trash talk like that. You just don't.
Again, how is this hanging on Kate's Twitter bashing Kate and the fans any different from some of the sheeple's obsession with Kate except that they are on opposite sides of the barnyard?

No. Many of us don't care about her grammar/spelling or ly's unless she's writing up something professional for a professional web site. I think she's a terrible writer but it's not like she's an English teacher. She's a nurse and, what else does she do? Tweets I guess.

Possibly, considering the fact that she regards herself an accomplished writer, best-selling "New York" author, perfect speller, but she can't think of any adjectives other than "amazing," which topped the list of 2012 most over-used words.
Had it not been that she has bragged many times about English being her favorite subject, calling Jon out on his bad grammar, and freaking out over a misspelled word at a garage sale for charity, I doubt if anyone would have even mentioned it.
As an aside on the subject of "amazing," Drexel University published an interesting article on over-used words:

It's been violent since the first one..the Old Testament if full of sex and violence. They are supposed to get to Mary and Joseph tonight. Even that is violent with the newborn sons being slaughtered (again). And of course Good Friday is violent. Sigh.
Since I frequently do find things amazing, I don't really notice. Much of the world IS amazing lol. But I do agree that at least when Kate is writing a blog for a huge professional web site like the Stir or CC, or a "New York best seller" book, and getting PAID for it, I do think her writing should be up to par.
But that was just a tweet. Not a professional piece of writing. That said, I'm pretty sure she thinks she's a great writer. If you are that bad, at least be aware of it.

Many of us have said the same thing--I don't think anyone here wil defend it. This blog is not about inserting ourselves into the picture and most, if not all, of the haterz that dwell on twitter have been long gone. It is sick and I remember how shocking it was when I first read there. Funny how easy it is to get used to abnormal behavior. Thanks for taking the time to drop in--hope you will stay and post.
Purest speculation ahead: Re Milo - it's entirely possible that Milo is a sort of Forrest Gump-type person. I'm not saying she's mentally retarded, but perhaps what my grandmother used to refer to as "a bit slow." I also agree with those that point out many of her phrases and compliments to Kate do not sound like those one woman normally gives another. She's very focused on Kate's looks, figure, attractiveness, etc.
I've never said to a friend that her vacation pictures "showcased her beauty." Ever. In fact, I have one friend who is quite stunning, but she has dealt with a number of issues arising from that beauty. Strange men have followed her home, she's been hit on at work, and given dirty looks by women who don't know her. So if she gets a compliment from a friend, she would much prefer one about something she baked, or a hearty laugh at a joke she's made, or maybe ask her where she found the cute shoes she's wearing. But the last thing she wants is a friend fawning over how beautiful she is.
I think Milo is a socially awkward woman with a serious crush on Kate (ala Amy Farrah Fowler's character on Big Bang Theory); or maybe it really is a creepy guy who knows the only way to have this level of "closeness" to Kate is to pretend to be a fawning female fan.

Check out the comment section on just about any news story, entertainment blog or editorial page and you'll find the same thing. Civility is in short supply these days.
Joy and Others -- I'm not normally a college basketball fan (or a basketball fan period), but I'm really impressed with Miami. Shane Larkin is quite a player. He's a lot like his daddy attitude wise, apparently, and seems to be the spark plug of the team. I caught the last 10 minutes or so of the game with NCA. Wow! What a finish! I gather they're second seed in the East. So, I guess I'll be watching some basketball the next few weeks, LOL.
