Former child reality star won't put her baby on T.V.

'The family is sacred'

Anyone would do it too? Or would they? Now that reality T.V. has been around so long the child stars have grown up, reflected on their experiences, and found their voices, it's interesting to hear what they have to say. Enter Kristin Cavallari, who at just 17 and a junior in high school, was MTV's breakout star of Laguna Beach and The Hills.

But does she want her new baby Camden, born seven months ago, to have a reality show? No. She's not talking hypothetically, she's actually been offered a show.
Cavallari in 2005

“I want Cam to grow up in the most normal setting possible," Cavallari said, "and I just don’t think that’s going to happen with cameras. The family is sacred.”

Amen, Kristin. And good for you.

In other news of celebs who won't go on reality T.V., Mark Burnett and Roma Downey, Kate's "friends," recently made it crystal clear such a venture wasn't for them.

I can't wait to see this article when a Gosselin kid has their first baby. You know it's coming.

Thanks for the new post, my fingers had scrolling fatigue.

Along with Roma Downey and Mark Burnett, this is the appropriate attitude about exposing your family to reality tv. And then there's Kate, still seeking a way to drag her children through the media horror again. And again. As if the CWS crapfest was not enough awfullness.

Enough.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said... 3

I just love counter-arguments to the stupid "you would do it too" argument. Um no, many people would not, I would venture to say the vast majority would not.

And isn't it especially compelling when someone who not only had a reality show, but had it when she was a child, says no I would NOT do it too? In fact I would find that very concerning. If it wasn't so bad and a great way to make money, why is she saying no? That should tell Kate something.

NJGal51 said... 4

OK I really must be a dog person and not a baby person because my eyes were immediately drawn to that cute little Frenchie that she's cuddling!

Good for her for not wanting to put cameras in her baby's faces 24/7. I do have to wonder though if she'd change her mind should she and Jay Cutler call off their engagement (again). Hopefully she'll stick to her guns and not give in to the temptation of easy money and fame.

I keep thinking about the Osbournes..Ozzy and Sharon have 3 kids..Amy, decided she did not want to participate, and they respected that, even with cameras in their home.

I respect that.

There is a way for reality tv to be respectful of kids, and it starts with the parents respecting their kids.

OMG..a post on my phone with no typos?????

Writing this as an Epic day on my calendar.

With the Duggars recently returning from Asia and now the news about Bindi, her head is probably spinning and she is crying into her wine glass about her children growing up and not being interesting/talented enough for the cameras to come back. Watch for more tweets to Disney.

*******************

I have heard that said from other parents and Kate said that in the couch interview (about one of the boys, really!) after the Utah trip.
Jon just gave her a stunned look as if to say "who are you? and what have you done with Kate?" That was when I figured that Kate had been prompted to say or do something affectionate with a boy. Jon was not let it on it and revealed and honest response to her phoniness.

++++++++++++++++++++++

I didn't watch. Did she say that she could just eat him, or she could just eat him UP, or I could just eat him ALL UP? The latter is a rather common expression in this area.

"I could just eat him" is kind of weird.

Tucker's Mom said... 14

"I could eat you up" is a common thing to say to a pudgy baby, followed by nom nom-ing on chubby hands or thighs. I know it might sound weird to anyone who hasn't seen this act of baby-induced oxytocin-fueled bliss, but it's an endearing little bit of play.
That and what else are you going to say to a baby to make him smile and coo?

Yes, saying "I could eat you up" to a baby is exactly how you describe.

However, in CWS, Kate was looking at picture of Kendra and little Hank. She points to Hank in the picture, and then she says "He's so precious I want to eat him"--she didn't say "up".

That is kind of weird.

Blowing In The Wind (15)--Kate is probably slaving away "inventing" a new recipe and can't tell them yet because she has to see how it turns out, and of course, then get all the 10's from her children. Or she could be getting ready to post her amazinglyish, yummyish, made from scratish, bread recipe that they've all been pining for.

She always has to tease and play games. She loves that. If she doesn't want to say anything or keep a big secret, then she shouldn't say anything at all.

It's not fair to her fans, It's like saying "I know something you don't know. Lol!"

I came across this on Facebook today and I thought that this group would apprecitate it because it deals with the death of a beloved family dog.

Abbey

Our 14-year-old dog Abbey died last month. The day after she passed away my 4-year-old daughter Meredith was crying and talking about how much she missed Abbey. She asked if we could write a letter to God so that when Abbey got to heaven, God would recognize her. I told her that I thought we could so, and she dictated these words:

Dear God,

Will you please take care of my dog? She died yesterday and is with you in heaven. I miss her very much. I am happy that you let me have her as my dog even though she got sick.
I hope you will play with her. She likes to swim and play with balls. I am sending a picture of her so when you see her you will know that she is my dog. I really miss her.

Love, Meredith

We put the letter in an envelope with a picture of Abbey and Meredith and addressed it to God/Heaven. We put our return address on it. Then Meredith pasted several stamps on the front of the envelope because she said it would take lots of stamps to get the letter all the way to heaven. That afternoon she dropped it into the letter box at the post office. A few days later, she asked if God had gotten the letter yet. I told her that I thought He had.

Yesterday, there was a package wrapped in gold paper on our front porch addressed, 'To Meredith' in an unfamiliar hand. Meredith opened it. Inside was a book by Mr. Rogers called, 'When a Pet Dies.' Taped to the inside front cover was the letter we had written to God in its opened envelope. On the opposite page was the picture of Abbey & Meredith and this note:

Dear Meredith,

Abbey arrived safely in heaven. Having the picture was a big help and I recognized her right away.

Abbey isn't sick anymore. Her spirit is here with me just like it stays in your heart. Abbey loved being your dog. Since we don't need our bodies in heaven, I don't have any pockets to keep your picture in so I am sending it back to you in this little book for you to keep and have something to remember Abbey by.

Thank you for the beautiful letter and thank your mother for helping you write it and sending it to me. What a wonderful mother you have. I picked her especially for you. I send my blessings every day and remember that I love you very much. By the way, I'm easy to find. I am wherever there is love.

Love, God

kate on twitter is insane! All the time that she has spent on that stupidity, she could of done a majority of the work in Shawshank and let her kids get a break. Those kids are workers in a slave factory. To properly feed those kids Chicken Pot Pie, she would need 3 9x13 pans of it. There are 8 children and 1 12yr. old adult. If there are left overs, the kids ought to be able to chose if they would like to take it to school the next day for lunch in their lunch boxes, OR freeze the rest of it.

I have a feeling she got ONE of those 8 or 9 inch pie crust with the aluminium pan and it is going to be divided by 9.

A Sliver! I say! A Sliver!

When my sons were teenagers I would make the sugar free Crystal Lite Lemonade pies. I would make 4 8" pie pans and they would be GONE IN LESS than 2 days. My youngest son paid me the biggest compliment ever, and didn't say a word! He walked in the house and went to the regfrigerator and grabbed the last pie, there was only half of it gone and someone left the fork in it!

Then he took that into the living room and sit down on the couch and started eating it! Actions speak louder than words!

I know my kids are soooo glad that their mom was not kate Gosselin. Something like this warms my heart up, something like a big check like from DWTS or CWS and seeing her kids work like prisoners at Shawshank where she doesn't have to pay for someone to do the menial chores, warms her heart!

Thank you for loving the letter! I cried thinking about all my dogs that I have lost over the years. Luke has passed and Bandit is getting older, he belongs to my middle son. Then the second post after the letter, I turn into a mad woman about the CPPie!

I had to feed my boys, they were in sports all year round, soccer, football, baseball, basketball, tennis. They would work it off!

It sickens me the little portions that kate gives them and the work that they do, no wonder they are starving (like the milk at Henry's) and look very small and underweight for their ages. The
zombie look that they have on their faces, like the boys makes them look like they are sick, like they don't get enough sunshine.

I will never forget kate when they were at Henry's and the kids were chugging the milk as fast as they could go, kate said, Well, don't have to fix dinner" or Dinner's done, something to that affect.

It is her own fault they way she treats those kids. Remember the picture of her in that blue tank top, in fall of 2011 and her chest was just very very huge and they looked like they were busting out, there was a link in this thread a couple of pages back.

Admin, wish you would put a comparison of that picture and the Hawaii wedding halter dress and you can see how flat she really was and what a great liar she really is.

Any updates on Steve?

I am going to try to find the link to the Abbey story.

First, teasing about what you are up to is juvenile.

Second, she often uses quite negative words to describe work. Isn't work enjoyable to her? "Slaving away" implies a heck of a lot of negative feelings toward your work. I've never heard anyone who likes their job describe it that way.

Now THIS really ticks me off. This person has no idea just how much the school cares about the kids and to what extent it goes to in an effort to give them privacy and a safe haven to thrive, both academically and socially.

It's not about the money. Those eight tuitions could easily be replaced by those on the waiting list.

Nice of her to tweet that to the school. I guess you just have to consider the source.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said... 50

I don't know how much or how little the school cares, maybe they do and maybe they don't, it's inappropriate though, obviously, to harass them. They have never involved themselves in this mess.

Though it begs the question, why does a SCHOOL need a twitter account in the first place? It's a school, not a Kardashian. They can use a private facebook page or their web site to communicate information.

Tucker's Mom said... 51

I bet that the kids' school community works very hard and uses a lot of resources to protect them and do their best given the circumstances J+K have put them in. From the bus stop circus (fortunately not recently) to controlling rumors to protecting the kids from social media, their parents' (mostly Kate) public airing of problems, and interweb fodder, it's got to be something that they always have on their radar.
They've got to be the most resource-intensive students and to imply that the school doesn't care about them after shepherding them through many years, that's just mean and uncalled for.
Just the fact that they took the 2 tups back after expulsion/separation (whatever) speaks a lot to their character and dedication.
Leave the damn school out of it and for Pete's sake, don't @tweet them.

They've got kindergartners that needed to be expelled, they graciously let them back, they changed bus stops because of the paparazzi, their vimeo account was swarmed by people just to see the kids, they put up with unpaid lunch bills and issues with tuition. And they have an idiot mother blogging absurdities about school lunches and making a school project.

The last thing they need is some stranger berating them on twitter.

There might be those who do have Twitter but not Facebook, and if there's an announcement about an event or even a weather report or early dismissal, it's much easier to go to Twitter rather than having to sort through all the pages on the website. It's like a shortcut/synopsis of what's on the school website.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said... 55

Also on another point, wouldn't most people just be MORTIFIED that the school had to bend over backwards so much for their kids? It's not like it's for good reason like they have special needs, and it's not like because you yourself are famous independent of your kids which heightens issues for anyone's kids in that situation. It's because YOU decided to exploit the living daylights out of them and now there's issues with paparazzi and fans/haters. I know there are many situations where Kate should just want to crawl under a rock but this surely is another.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said... 56

All these parents are all twitter savvy? I find that hard to believe. Seems to me a good number of them would be confused by the whole process. I know I was when I first tried it and often still am!

I'm just surprised a private school would do that, especially one with celebrity kids. It's so OPEN. It would make me uncomfortable. Any private school I've seen usually has a private sign in page and private email list for announcements and such.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said... 57

Another issue with Twitter, I would be concerned about an upset parent or student taking to twitter to try to contact the school. All their grievances would be public for anyone to see. They could always set up a blog and many do, but twitter makes it much easier not only to contact the school but for everyone to see what they are saying without opting out. It sets up dicey situations IMO, libelous situations. Not saying parents shouldn't complain they should but there are more appropriate ways to do it and this just invites conflict. I'll be curious to see if this new social medium really works out for schools long term.

Tonight I watched Celebrity Wife Swap, Gilbert Gottfried and Alan Thicke s wives swapped. It was fun to watch! Gilbert and his wife live in NYC, they are frugal, walk everywhere or take the subway. Alan and his wife live on a ranch with lots of staff and entertain often.
Alan s wife had Gilbert host a dinner party, and she brought in a chef and staff to serve. Filberts friends who showed up were Paul Shaffer, yes the band leader, with his wife and kids, and Richard Belzer the actor, and they had a great time.
Alan spends lots of money on gifts for his wife, so Gilbert s wife made him go to the dollar store and pick out a meaningful gift for only one dollar. Alan got his wife a small ”I love you” balloon.
Funniest thing, Alan s wife thought Gilbert should learn how to drive. After taking him for driving lessons, the instructor, Alan s wife and Gilbert all agreed, Gilbert should never ever attempt to drive.
it was a fun episode!
Next week, back to regular wife swap episodes with non celebrity borderline crazy people who yell, fuss, complain, and cry, and.that was just the preview.

I think she repaired her own car once. She definitely didn't have time to do anything for that ungrateful wench who ignored her when she was trying to help. Just one more reason I detest Kate.

***

Me too. I hate how she treats her fans. I know she is all I love you I love you sometimes yet when it really comes down to it, she couldn't care less about them. Her actions speak louder than words--ignoring Barb, not even bothering to tweet them for days sometimes even weeks on end when she's busy with fun projects getting her narcissistic supply elsewhere, teasing them endlessly, accepting their freebies when she's worth God knows how much money, the way she blew off Gypsi until Gypsi had to beg so much for a response it was embarrassing. It's just shitty how she treats them, she sets them up to fail and embarrass themselves much like what she does to her kids.

Here's the thing, I don't think a celeb owes their fans anything other than common courtesy. Some are more comfortable with getting more involved with them than others--fine. But, you don't get to choose to be more involved and lead your fans on like Kate does, then turn around and be this rude. You can't have it both ways. Either your fans are your friends or they're just fans, but you can't have them be your friends then treat them like crap. If that's how you roll, you have no business leading your fans on that they are anything more than just another fan.

Tweet-I seem to remember that before Barb could give out Kate's address, it had to be approved by Kate herself. Barb was getting requests, and she kept asking Kate to check her emails. I seemed to remember her telling one fan telling them that she hadn't heard from Kate yet.

Barb seems to be a hard working mother who really cares about and does things with her kids-unlike Kate.

I also remember Barb getting upset that Kate didn't tweet her a Happy Birthday on her birthday, because Kate was tweeting HB to other tweeties the same day. I believe Kate finally wished her a belated HB at some point.

Other times, I have also seen Barb annoyed when Kate was replying to Milo a lot and I believe one time she even tweeted something like "Hey-what about me?".

I think a lot of tweeties are getting sick of Milo.

When fans were in a gift-giving frenzy & Barb was in charge of giving out Kate's address to approved fans, Barb had the nerve to go on vacation. She wasn't around when a teen fan wanted to send Cara & Mady a set of Vera Bradley luggage. Kate actually responded to the teen, tweeted Barb to take care of it & since Barb was on vacation, the teen never got the address. When haters started communicating with the teen, the fans (Paige & CJ) started attacking the teen & the twins never got their expensive Vera Bradley bags (monogrammed no less). After that fiasco, Kate dumped Barb & started referring the gift-givers to her website email address so Kate could make sure not one freebie slipped through her nasty fingers again.

Barb has been a D-Lister with Kate ever since. I think Barb only sticks around because she's very lonely & depressed and she doesn't want to lose the friends she made on Twitter. Being a sheeple is a must to stay in the club & Barb doesn't want to rock the boat. Some of her tweets to Kate are passive-aggressive barbs (no pun intended) but her sheeple friends are too oblivious to pick up on them.

That teen girl was the one CJ started accusing of being in child porn. And that was a FAN!

Well, I just watch the Duggars in Asia. I know some of you here don't like them either, and that's ok.
*******
I think you make very good points and have summed up what I think about the Duggars. I think the kids are far happier and I know I project how I feel about the older girls being tasked with raising the new arrivals, but maybe they really don't mind.
I don't get the sense they're coerced.
That said, it rankles me because it goes against my philosophy of family and raising children. I don't think kids should be expected to conform to the parents' paradigm of life.
The Duggars, like Kate, think of their offspring as extensions of them and I do wonder what Jim and Michelle would think, say or do if any of the kids wanted to leave the reservation.
I'd think that about the Duggars and other Quiverfull followers with or without a reality tv show.
The Duggars have made their fortune off of their kids, but somehow, it's not as unsavory as the Gosselins. Maybe it's because their marriage is intact and the children seem so full of spirit, talent, joy, love and faith. Somehow, they've remained true to who they are, despite reality tv.
Jim Bob is still a Neanderthal dolt who needs to stop contributing to the gene pool. At some point, common sense has to prevail and free will is laid to waste when you follow a movement that puts your wife's very life (and that of your unborn child) in mortal danger.
I'm no Betty Friedan, but that man makes my blood run cold.

The above is a review on the Freckleface Strawberry book. I guess Kate didn't learn that lesson becasue she's changed everything about herself. I'm guessing it involves using the G kids.
Remember in Kate's correspondence on her computer, she wanted to use her kids in an app/game that would have been similar to Diner Dash, where you had to take care of the kids needs (feeding, changing) or else they'd cry and have have tantrums.

Blowing in the Wind (101) I remember it because it was the most outrageous thing I have ever seen happen on Kate's Twitter.

The girl was a lonely teenager who had a special appreciation for the twins. From what she said, she bought the luggage or bags while away from home & her mom was not pleased. When the fans started attacking the girl, Kate blocked her! So the girl said her mom was giving them to a charity (it was Christmas time) and they eventually found a Cara & a Mady (different families) who would appreciate the bags.

I couldn't shake the image of this lonely girl being so viciously attacked by fans then thrown under the bus by Kate. They behaved like vicious dogs, especially Paige & CJ.

My kids' school uses Twitter as a way to communicate with the kids, as in snow days, the basketball team won, out of uniform days. It's just used as back up to the official communication. This morning Milo tweeted two messages to Kate, one about her tossin and turnin all might wondering about Kate's surprise and another about the "dates" Kate mentioned. Then Milo deleted the tweets and tweeted this:

Fired Up 4 Kate ‏@MiloandJack
I made the effort 2say hello & offer a word of support 2 a #friend 2day...& they walked on by. #Ouch :(

Kate has often ignored Milo, often for days. Why is she whining now?

============

Tweet-le,

I saw the "walked on by" comment but missed the other two. My first thought was, "Someone else snubbed Milo--must not have been Kate."

Thanks for posting these. So Milo WAS talking about Kate! With Barb calling Milo out(indirectly) last night and Kate not sticking up for her, Milo's feelings must be doubly hurt.

Milo has been a curiosity for us all for a long time. I first noticed her when she was started posting on BM's site, maybe in Fall 2009. In all seriousness, I think Milo is reaching some new level in this celebrity worship syndrome. She sounds like she's begininng to lose it to me. She's fragile emotionally, and Kate just can't give her enough strokes to keep her happy. What happens next? Where does it end?

Even when they all went to Sushi school and they made a mess, and everyone was all smiles and enjoying themselves. They were very polite to people, service people, camera crew. If I had to choose a family to travel with, I would choose the Duggars in a heart beat. Kate, would have had a hissy fit, in 2 sec flat. What a difference, it's like Duggars=day, Kate=night.
*****
I will agree that there are vast differences between the Duggar household and Kate Krieder's cruel and cold McMansion. I think the children in general (especially the younger ones) are likely happier, are treated better, and overall have a happier existence.

I can't bring myself to say that the children are well-behaved, especially the younger ones. They seem to often run wild in their own home, climbing onto counters and walking on them, racing through the house and up and down stairs, using outside voices while inside, etc. Since they are basically being raised by their older siblings, I give all the Duggar offspring a pass on this one - hard enough that the older adult girls are still living at home, have no paying jobs, no education beyond a homeschooling high school diploma, and apparently no prospects beyond cleaning, grocery shopping, food preparation, and child rearing for their parents.

No matter how "nice" the parents are - I think putting your children on a reality tv show is not in their best interests. I think even less of parents who turn over child-rearing responsibilities to the older children.

Kate hasn't tweeted directly to Milo since Sunday and I guess Milo is disappointed, especially since of all the crazy support tweets Milo has been sending her.

I think Milo expected more after Kate defended Milo as being her "friend" when Milo was defending Kate about Bible marketing tweet she made. And the Barb Gilmer stepped and gave her a smackdown, and she probably expected Kate to defend her again, which she didn't.

So she's going to go sulk now because her "friend" is obviously ignoring her and has let her down.

I'm glad my son's school doesn't use twitter to communicate -- because I have a twitter account but never bother to use it. Instead, they use recorded messages to the student's home phone (or I guess the contact phone number, for those who don't have land lines). It seems to work pretty well.

PatK said... 124

I simply can't believe Milo would stoop so low as to tweet that about Kate passing her by. Well, wait...I guess I can since it's Milo. But, how old is she again?

I wonder if she's in a corner rolled up in a ball crying her eyes out. Good grief.

The problem with Milo is that she gives out clues, which she has done many times as if she is trying to one up Kate, therefore ruining the approach for Kate to surprise her fans. minus the teasing of course. It IS Kate's project, not Milo's so better from Kate's mouth than Milo's. I personally would not have gotten myself in twists trying to guess, tweet about it publicly and force someone to tell me if I was right! I'd rather just wait and see what comes next. The other thing Milo does is insert herself in conversations directed only to Kate. That makes me think Milo reads Kate's mentions page all day to jump in whatever was asked to Kate. Most of them probably do not know Milo! So they must have had wondered why this person was talking to them.

Terri said... 127

You know Kate may think Milo is her best friend but I also think she could be her worst enemy.

FYI said... 128

I'm sure Milo tweeted that because she knew Kate would see it(since she follows Milo) and she wanted to let Kate know that she had let her down.

Kate has tweeted to other people since Milo tweeted that, so she's apparently ignoring it, and for Milo it must be like she's adding insult to injury.

Many people have speculated that the day would come when Kate's true nature would finally shatter Milo's rose coloured glasses.

I actually feel a bit bad for Milo, not pity exactly, willful ignorance is hard to sympathize with. Still, anyone who so staunchly supports another, especially when it's encouraged as much as Kate has Milo, deserves better than to just be flat out ignored.

In any case, I'm betting there will be a "not an apology" tweet from Kate - as in "Not ignoring anyone just super busy with grueling work for secret project, wish I could share more now but blah, blah, blah"

To which Milo will ecstatically reply, "No worries, just excited to hear about upcoming dates and projects x8!" Of course including all the obligatory @'s to everyone Milo wants to prove she and Kate are really friends to.

I don't know for sure because I'm not on Twitter, but I'm guessing even kids in high school don't tweet this much drama.

I watched the Duggars last night also. While the kids may not always behave appropriately, they all seem to be happy. When they were in the suschi academy, JimBob had to eat suschi made by the youngest child Josie. She made an absolute mess of it but she had fun doing it. And JimBob took a bite. Remember when Kate and Jon said they wouldn't eat anything made by the kids because of germs. Well not JimBob. He lost a competition and he had to eat what Josie made. He didn't eat the whole thing but he did take a bite. I agree, however, that he's a dolt. I was impressed with how Josie talked considering she was a few months premature. She seems to be where she should be with regard to her speech. I do, however, agree that they shouldn't be on TV and the older girls should not be raising the younger kids.

=======================================
I don't want to sound condescending, but there is no point to the app. It's a game to build your own monster. I'm sure that there's a tie in to her (J. Moore's) books and it probably makes more sense to those that have read her books. It's kind of like Angry Birds. No point to the game but I love playing it!

On another note, I love to buy cookbooks and cooking magazines. I love to flip through them and look at the pictures. I'll also google a recipe when I want to know how to do something quickly. I took a look at Kate's meat loaf recipe and the quantities of the fillers seems to be off somewhat. I mean it looks like she's got 4-5 cups of fillers for only 2 pounds of meat. Adding more of everything doesn't necessarily make it healthy/better. I also had to laugh because ABC said the recipe feeds 10 and Kate says that she normally has half a loaf left. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if she's feeding 9 and there's half a loaf left those must be pretty small portions. Also, she should form the meat into loaves and cook on a cookie sheet. When you cook it in a loaf pan it sits in its own grease...as one of the comments said, organic does not mean fat/grease free.

Oh, yes, Angry Birds. I play it with the kids. Those pigs, though, are just so darn cute that I hate shooting them into oblivion. I guess what I'm not understanding about the monster app is what you do with it. Is it a game, or is the "game" just building the monster? If it's just creating your own personal monster, what is Kate's role in this?

Millicent, (123) our kids' school uses Twitter as an extra way of communicating. In my case, it's high school & they talk about the basketball team advancing in the Regionals, a kid won an award, snow days, etc.

It by no means is a primary way of communicating & it's aimed mostly at the students, since high school kids have almost abandoned Facebook en masse for Twitter, they use it as almost like a pep club type of thing.

They still contact the parents the traditional ways & if a parent doesn't have Twitter they don't miss a thing.

And that meatloaf recipe is no more original then her Chicken pot pie (wow, two crusts! I didn't realized there were one crusted ones until I saw some fast food ad for their cpp.) Also, what's with all the dried mixed Italian crumbs and spices? Why isn't she using her organic crusts and fresh from her garden herbs (what were the kids weeding anyways?) Sounds more like a recipe for meatballs to go with the spaghetti. And Lordie be can't get away from the stupid Katisms ... zig zaggy. Hey, Katie, just plain zig zag works fine. Plus, be sure all the fans know she's got a food processor, surprised she didn't give the brand name along with obligatory top of the line. I don't think Katie could come up with an original idea if her life depended on it.
And a big preemptive yawn to her "surprise". It's sure to be a big zero that no one but her would have to have slaved over. As I'm sure she thinks she slaves over those bogs of hers. So hard to regurgitate the same old crap over and over and over again.

I think two reason Kate hasn't bothered to be on Celebrity Apprentice is because the pay is very low. I think NeNe (Real Houswives of Atlana) said something under $5,000 or so. I can't remember the exact amount. But that is for many weeks worth of very hard work. And Kate also has to solicit many ten of thousands of dollars from friends/relatives for the many weekly challenges that Donald gives them. The purpose of Celebrity Apprentice to raise tons of money for different charities.

Dumb question from someone in the Dutch Country who has always made meat loaf in a loaf pan...when you cook it on a cookie sheet, wouldn't the grease run off the cookie sheet into the oven? I use a big deep sided blue-speckled enameled oval pan with a lid that's been in the family since the beginning of time. There have been enough meat loafs made in it to feed fans at a Bruce Springstein concert! Don't you cover your meat loaf when you bake it? Just asking!

That meatloaf recipe sounds horrible, and also very scanty to feed 8 growing kids. When I make a meatloaf I use 1 1/2# of meat, and that's for one person. I also don't put all that crap in it. of course I add onions and peppers and sometimes celery, but not in the quantities KK recommends. Her meatloaf must be mostly veggies and breadcrumbs. 2 - 3 eggs? Sheesh! I don't get 8-9 meals and have half a loaf left over, either. I freeze a couple of dinners for later, have a meal or two, and sandwiches for a couple of days out of that 1 1/2# + loaf. If that's a sample of the recipes that will be in her cook book, I'll pass (well, I'd pass anyway, but you get the idea). Oh -- BTW I bought one of those loaf pans that has the lift-out tray. The fat drains down so the meatloaf doesn't bake in the fat. Makes it easy to drain the fat and to lift the meatloaf out of the pan. Great invention.

So doormat Barb has seen the light? Stay tuned for the next episode of "As the Worm Turns", LOL.

"Oh, no worries. Kate probably wrings the meatloaf out over the kitchen sink. That way she doesn't need to slice it and it's already

Ha! Good one!

Meatloaf sandwiches ought to be the easiest lunch to pack for 8. Sliced bread comes out of the machine and sliced meatloaf comes out of the oven. Just slap 'em together and go! The wonders of modern appliances!

Just watched the meatloaf recipe video at ABC. The video is from the fall of 2008. I remember they were doing some press that day. Kate also did an interview with a Christian network that day as well. And they took the kids to Central Park to play. All the while being filmed by TLC. The dates of a couple of comments on her recipe were from 9/09. Doesn't make sense. Did anyone else notice she didn't have the good bra on. She looked so different back then.

I watched it, too. Did she actually say anything other than "UM?" That was pathetic...can't you see her on a cooking show?

Woo Hoo!! I can post again without having to go to a lap[top or other internet server!!!

I would like to watch the meatloaf recipe video. Where is it on the ABC website? I could not find it.

Meagler said... 188

I found it. I was trying to find it on the Wife Swap page, not ABC news.
Thanks.

Aww-Kate and Milo are besties again, and Milo can go to sleep happy tonight. She even stayed up 10 minutes past her bedtime to tweet to Kate.

Kate tweeted that 4 out of 9 of them now how a flu like sickness, and Milo responded and Kate replied. Isn't that so sweet?

Kate also told Milo that her Stir column tomorrow is about sickness, which she wrote while being sick.

Milo must be in seventh heaven and all is right with the world.

So what was Kate slaving away on if her kids are sick? Was it her column for the Stir?

Auntie Ann, I never thought of it like that before, but you are so right. All Kate's appearance proved on CWS is that the contents of Robert's book, as well as his observations about Kate being a control freak, is true.

I think she shot herself in the foot this time. Really, who's going to feel sorry for her after watching what she puts her kids through? Maybe a retired school teacher or two.

She's good at three things; lying, grifting and alienating her audience.

@Kateplusmy8 BTW..U need 2know LitesOutMan is driving again! Yay me! And w/this tweet...its his yell N the background...LightsOut! Gnite!

Why on god's green earth does Kate NEED to know that LOM is driving again? Why would Kate even remotely care about some guy in the deep South who can now drive? Is he going to drive Milo north to PA so that Kate and Milo can walk hand in hand, singing "Close To You?"

Or is LOM Kate's new limo driver and he's taking her to NYC for a hair-frying appointment?

When I make a meatloaf I use a combination of ground beef and ground veal. I sauté my onion carrot and celery and then add some spices and V8 to the veggies. While this is cooling I mix some crushed saltines with an egg and then mix all with the meat. I make this into two loaves and freeze one. I have a little rack that I cover with foil (poke holes in foil so grease drains) and place this on a high sided cookie sheet with the meatloaf on top. I don't cover mine. Instead of ketchup I use a combo of brown sugar, cider vinegar, Tabasco and Sweet Baby Ray's honey chipotle BBQ sauce, cooked on stovetop to blend and thicken before basting meatloaf with it. It really is tasty when done.

Oh, I wanted to say that starting off something with "not that anyone cares, but" is probably the most juvenile, passive aggressive, manipulative, attention seeking things one could ever say. Really? Are we 12?

I'm in the camp that really doesn't feel that sorry for Milo. I feel sorrier for Kate than Milo.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said... 195

The Stir is about sickness tomorrow? Great. I predict a whoa is me no one feels sickness as much as me because I get it times eight. Then lots of the kids love me soooo much because they take care of me! Followed by lots of things Kate "typically" does when they are sick.

AuntieAnn said... 196

What could possibly be more obnoxious than a sick narcissist. What a pain in the ass she must be to look after. I'm sure she milks it for all its worth.

---------------------

I did feel sorry for her - at first. I thought she was just a harmless little old lady fan, yes, a bit over-the-top, but I figured that was her way. As her Celebrity Worship got worse and worse, I realized that's she is not harmless, and not a lonely lady who just wants attention from Kate. She's obsessed with it. Some of these fans who tweet celebrities do so because the celebrities notice them and respond. Then they're happy. But not Milo. She is demanding, speaks for Kate when Kate clearly doesn't want her to do so, and has set herself up as Kate's personal protector and guardian. Clearly, she's nuttier than Aunt Edna's fruitcake, but the problem is that Kate can't cut her off and I think Kate knows it. Earlier tonight the Austin guy tweeted Kate (and ONLY Kate) and asked her opinion on a car he was thinking about buying. Who jumps in but Milo, telling him not to get it because he needs to take more of a financial responsibility at home. She just can't keep her nose out of anything. It must be hell living with someone like that.

What do you do with someone like Milo? There's something "off" when a Lights Out Man tells you that you need to go to bed. What if you're not tired? Do you go to bed and toss and turn? I'd tell him to zip it and order HIM to go to bed. Then I'd stay up until the wee hours just as an act of defiance! Then again, we don't know if LOM is really her husband, or the night supervisor/orderly where she lives.

Sleepless-Milo's LOM broke his leg in 3 places, and apparently it's healed enough so that he can now drive.

Of course, Milo just had to share the news with Kate! Actually, she shared it earlier with her tweetie buds, but didn't share it with Kate until Kate actually acknowledged her presence.

This is what I find most annoying about Milo. She gets on a kick and doesn't know when to let it go. I'm sure the other tweeties are sick of it also.

Fired Up 4 Kate ‏@MiloandJack
@Kateplusmy8 That's a true MOM effort! We can't ever really get sick...we go ahead and do what we have 2do! Ur due some time off girl!

Kate Gosselin ‏@Kateplusmy8
@MiloandJack yes I've been dreaming of that for awhile.... Time off? What does that feel like? :) anyone know? :)

Fired Up 4 Kate ‏@MiloandJack
@Kateplusmy8 HaHa...wheres Hank?..@KendraWilkinson U need another #WifeSwap week 2get some rest/relax! :)

Enough with tweeting about Wife Swap, and Hank and Kendra. Kendra must cringe when she reads tweets like this. You would think Kate would feel embarrassed too.

Try that on grilled chicken! That's exactly how I "doctor" my Sweet Baby Ray's sauce, and it's wonderful! Sometimes I'll put a little apricot preserves in there, too. YUM! DELISH! :)

Time off from what? I still can't figure out what Kate does for a living. As far as I can tell she tweets and runs a military camp. One 40 minute reality show in the year and a half since her show was canceled is hardly employment.
