Michael Levine has been in the PR business since 1983 (his firm is called the "Oscar" of PR and has represented Bill Clinton, Michael Jackson, and Cameron Diaz). This expert has weighed in on how a celebrity should handle a crisis (or f-up, if you will) as big as Paula Deen's. His four tips are interesting, and pretty spot on. Here we go:
1) Respond quickly to problems: Though Deen cancelled her originally-scheduled "Today" interview, opting to record her own videos — which were much maligned for being obviously edited — Levine says she can make up for it during her Wednesday appearance. "I don’t think it was wise [to cancel], but America is basically a forgiving nation, so I think if she goes on the ‘Today’ show and confronts it, this will be a good thing for her."
2) Respond with humility: "We've already started seeing her make her apology," says Levine of the self-recorded videos in which Deen apologized “to everybody for the wrong that I’ve done,” saying she's made mistakes and calling her language "inappropriate and hurtful." But Levine says she will need to continue to appear remorseful when speaking to Lauer. "She's begun the healing process, but it's a process and you have to keep doing it again and again until you get it behind you."
3) Respond with contrition: "If you make clear that this is not who you are today, and you show some degree of sincerity about it, over time you should be fine," Levine opines, though adding changing the public's new perception of her will not happen "in an hour, day or week." Though he does believeAmerica could see Deen back on its airwaves in the course of a year or two if she appears sincerely sorry.
4) Respond with personal responsibility: Levine says one of the biggest goals of her "Today" appearance should be to own up to her actions without making excuses. "She can't belittle and blame others," he says, citing O.J. Simpson as an example of how not to address a crisis. “He responded arrogantly, slowly, and belittled and blamed others and did not do well with the public." Instead, Levine recommends Deen follow Hugh Grant's lead back in 1995, when he appeared on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" to publicly apologize for having an affair with a prostitute, famously saying, "I did a bad thing." The actor went on to have continued success.
"If you do those four things — if you go fast, humble, personally responsible with contrition, and apology, you're going to basically be OK," says Levine.

Kate and Jonathan Gosselin want you to pretend that their sextuplets are disabled.
If you play along, they can keep the free nurse provided by Medicaid to help raise the six 1-year-olds and the Gosselins' 4-year-old twin daughters in their Berks County home. Mom and Dad will plead their case at a hearing on Thursday.
Does it really take a commonwealth to raise a child? Or eight?
Surely it is a daunting task for Kate even without Jonathan's 90-minute commute to his new job in the Governor's Office in Harrisburg.
"Every morning I ask the Lord for the strength to try to remain calm," Kate said.
As a registered nurse, however, she knew the risks of fertility drugs. Gosselin did not regret the decision after she was told about her six babies. Nor for opposing the "selective reduction" that sometimes is performed in multi-fetal pregnancies to lessen potential risk to the mother and the surviving fetuses.
But if Kate had had a crystal ball, would she have taken the fertility drugs?
"If I could have looked into the future, I would not have done it," she admitted.
The two parents have more kids than they can handle. Volunteers have helped, some, but nowhere near enough, she said. The taxpayers are helping by providing health coverage, but the Gosselins want much more.
They qualify for state health insurance -- barely. Jonathan makes about $50 per month below the maximum annual household income, said Kate. She does not have an outside job.
For a family of 10, the max is $38,910, according to the Department of Public Welfare.
But the need for special services such as a nurse is not based on income. The state's first question was whether the Gosselin children qualify medically. "The answer is 'no,' so you do not get it," Kate said.
The little ones' good health was her bad luck. Go figure.
"I am urging them to see us as a rare situation, which we are," she said. "And I am begging them to make a special exception. They are six individuals. One mom cannot take care of them.
"I might be able to meet their physical needs, but not the emotional needs. It is very difficult. I'm talking about time to talk about feelings, read books and the absolute bare necessities to get done. I cannot do it five days a week."
The county assessed the Gosselins' property at $142,800 in 1993. Kate thinks the four-bedroom, 2,100 square foot home has a market value of $250,000. They have two vehicles, but no garage, she added.
Why not take advantage of the approximate $100,000 in home equity Kate says they have in it? Why not sell it and buy a bigger one (she would like about 3,500 square feet) in a less affluent neighborhood?
They had been considering a move, but it has not been a high priority because of eight good reasons, she said.
However, keeping the free nurse is a priority.
"I understand that there is no medical necessity," Kate said. "But I hope they see my need. There is nothing set up for someone in our situation. I hope I can hang on to the person that I have."
The Gosselins called the day after my telephone interview with Kate. They asked to preview this column before publication. My editor declined their request. Kate then said she wanted to retract everything -- even though she admitted all of it was true.
"People are out to make us look bad," she said.
Aw thank you Fido! And thank you to everyone here for making this such a nice den.
I hope everyone celebrating has a wonderful Fourth and I hope those in the heat are finally getting some relief today as we are.

At the request of Jonathan Gosselin and after a detailed converation with him, we have removed all of his posts that he authored and some of his posted threads. Some of the threads remain where he has responded to but he did request that all of his posted pictures of his family be removed--they have. My heart goes out to this family who have found because of their unique situation, through the world of the internet and probing eyes of the media, that life can be made so miserable and scary that this becomes the result.
Both Jonathan and I thank those of you on the forum who have offered positive words of support and encouragement in the past months. It has become apparent that not all of the posters on this forum have been HOM families. Some have been members of the media that used this access for a avenue into their private lives and others who only wanted to criticize for reasons of jealosy or whatever. So as a result, all future posts regarding the Gosselin family will be removed.

Hmmm I have a feeling that Kate is done tweeting...
Jon and Kate started off on the wrong foot with Pennsylvanians. They admitted there was no medical necessity for a nurse, but they wanted Pennsylvanians to pay for it anyway.
You do NOT come between PA tax payers and their hard earned money. Especially old school East Coast conservative tax payers. What did they expect to happen? People blew the whistle on it, of course. And they had every right to do so. And here we are nine years later and sheeple are still upset about that. Maybe if they paid for these babies as myself and others living in PA at that time did, they would feel differently.
In my opinion, this family has NEVER recovered with the locals and the local press from that one mistake. And maybe rightly so. They never apologized for asking hard-working blue collar Americans to fund their lifestyle, nor did they ever pay back the state for what they took now that they're rich, as far as I know. They are under no obligation to do so, however choosing not to I think has perpetuated the bad blood and lack of reconciliation.

Yes, and it still ticks me off when I think about it. I remember the whole thing going down. It was in the local papers and people were saying, "Who do they think they are, and why should an exception be made?" If the state made an exception for them, where do you draw the line? Will others come forward because of "special cases" and will the Gosselins want another year, and then another? I thought PA was going to back down. This is one time when the state took a stand and said, "No dice."

Ditto with what fidosmommy said. sometimes I post and post and sometimes my fingers are resting but I come and read here every single day. It's great company:)
Fido, ditto from me too....
I come here every day to see what's being written about, but seldom post.
Kate is boring & has nothing going on in her life. The attraction is the posters & their off topic discussions.
(Auntie Ann ? Dwindle? Aggiesmom? LoveMyGrandsons? and others...mssing you!)
I hope this site continues long after Kate completely fades away.
Make that a ditto from me, too. I really appreciate the opportunity to discuss a variety of things, including KK, with a minimal amount of drama, backbiting, and foul language.
Not only did the G's (particularly KK) pay back the state, she's made no effort to "pay back" by helping others in difficult circumstances. A couple of "charity" appearances for filming, a fund raiser for the family of dead children that turned into a "book signing", and similar situations don't count. Besides which, we know now that KK was rarely alone with the kids and that she handed off most of the parental duties to Jon when he came home from a full day's work. He did the lion's share of the hands on care. Note: I'm not saying Jon shouldn't have helped care for the kids. Just that, from the show, at least, he seemed to do far more than KK in caring for the kids and caring for the house.
Ooops! Hit publish too quickly. Everyone have a safe and happy 4th. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AMERICA!!

Right. Then they started the love offerings grifting and so many people fell for it. They were known by locals as moochers, but many of those who gave their money really didn't know the whole story. I'm surprised that the soliciting lasted as long as it did and nobody came forward and said, "Wait a minute -- these people just put an offer on a million dollar house and church-goers are helping them pay for it." All good things must come to an end, and it did, but for those who donated to the "cause," it came too late.
I had to break this into two posts. Here is another article from 2007. I find this amusing that Kate must have been making the PR rounds attempting to rally support for the continued taxpayer cost of the nurse.
John Grogan | Bearing the cost of child-bearing
By John Grogan
Inquirer Columnist
When Kate Gosselin finally picks up the phone on the 10th ring, she sounds a little frazzled, and who can blame her?
From the background come the cries, shrieks and whoops of babies. Six of them, to be exact.
The Berks County woman once feared she was unable to conceive. Today, thanks to fertility drugs, she has more children than she and her husband, Jonathan, know what to do with. Those would be twin 4-year-old girls followed by the sextuplets, who turned 1 on May 10.
Gosselin's supercharged fertility is miraculous in its own right, a testament to the wonders - and pitfalls - of modern medicine. She has rocketed into the public spotlight, however, not for her baby-making prowess but for her insistence that she cannot mother alone.
The harried mom wants help - and she wants taxpayers to pick up the tab.
Because the fragile babies were born prematurely, Medicaid paid to provide a skilled home nurse 30 hours a week. But the babies are now robust, and Medicaid pulled the plug this month on paying for the nurse the Gosselins have come to rely on as "a second mommy."
Special circumstances
The couple, who live in Wyomissing, have appealed that ruling, and on Thursday the mother will argue that her special circumstances - eight little ones and a husband who is gone 12 hours a day for his state-government job 90 minutes away in Harrisburg - merit taxpayer help. The state continues to pay for nurse Angie Krall while the appeal is pending.
"We did not ask for sextuplets. We wanted one last baby," Gosselin tells me, quickly adding that she loves all six beyond words. "We took the risk and we lost."
Grogan article continued:
As you might imagine, her request has not gone over well. Angry letters have popped up in newspapers across Pennsylvania. Gosselin, a registered nurse, knew the risks of taking fertility drugs. Even after delivering twins on the first go-round, she rolled the dice again. And now she wants the state to pay for her gamble?
"People are very harsh to us, and I understand that," she says. "But until you walk exactly in my shoes and know my day-to-day life, it is very difficult to imagine..."
I want to sympathize with her. Every parent knows how demanding and exhausting even one baby can be. But the more she talks, the more I find her to be inflexible.
I agree with her that she can't do it alone, but I ask why she needs an expensive skilled nurse instead of a basic child-care helper. Her only explanation is that she and the children have bonded with their nurse, and she'd hate to change now. She concedes the children no longer require specialized nursing care, and adds, "On Jon's income, we couldn't afford to pay someone even $6 an hour."
Paying for child care?
And that leads to another question. If money is so tight, why doesn't she return to work and enroll the children in day care? Nope. The family minivan cannot carry all eight children in one trip, and the couple can't afford a bigger van, she says. Besides, "I would be taking my paycheck and giving it to the day care." Welcome to the world of working parents.
She says family members live too far away or are too busy to help, and the stream of volunteers that came in the early months compromised the family's privacy. "There is no one," she says definitively. "I have racked my brain."
I have one other idea for her. The couple's house has about $100,000 of equity in it, she has estimated. Why don't they take out a loan to pay for the nurse themselves, just as parents do to pay for tuition or orthodontics? She doesn't want to do that, either.
She promises she wants Medicaid to pay for the nurse for only one more year, and by then the couple will be able to handle their brood on their own.
Obviously, society has a vested interest in making sure these eight children - all children - are properly nurtured. The question is whether taxpayers should be expected to take on a couple's burden. And if so, which couples, and for how long?
There are no easy answers, only an unsettling awareness that parenting, with all its joys and challenges, belongs ultimately to parents.
Happy Independence Day to all!!
Correction, article from 2005 but posted on a Triplet site in 2007.
You know, as a parent, if someone were "obsessed" with my children, I'd be more than creeped out. But with Kate, nothing fazes her. It bothered the heck out of Jon, as a father, but their mother seems to just brush it off (and may even find it flattering...enjoys the attention). Why is that?

Watched way too many Kate plus 8 episodes yesterday... I'm still obsessed with those kids😭😍 @Kateplusmy8
OT for admin...if you ever get to Harrisburg, you have to visit the National Civil War Museum. This place is fascinating. I walked through it twice, and I'm going back. I've never seen anything like this. This is not just a run-of-the-mill museum. I was thinking about you because there is a medical gallery/field hospital with artifacts -- saws, knives, all kinds of equipment, crutches, and a hospital wagon used to transport the dead and wounded, with blood still on the sides.

Really, was she seriously that delusional?
Filming her at 80 years old doing what exactly?
I don't understand what she possibly could have been thinking. It's ridiculous enough for her to have believed that TLC would keep the show going until the tups were 18.
She really did get her brain stuck on the idea that the show was all about her. Classic narcissist trait.
SMH...she really is a kook.
Does EVERYTHING in Milo's life revolve around Kate...even going outside for a walk? Wouldn't you think that LOM and her kids (if she has any) get sick of it? I can't imagine living with someone with such an obsession.

@Kateplusmy8 In ur honor I'm goin2make myself just get on out there..U make urself take care of so many things every day!
TLC Stinks, thanks for posting that article as I don't remember reading that one.
This part stood out to me: "We did not ask for sextuplets. We wanted one last baby," Gosselin tells me, quickly adding that she loves all six beyond words. "We took the risk and we lost."
How can she just LIE, LIE, LIE like that?! "We did not ask for sextuplets..." Uh, yeah you did Kate! Maybe Jon didn't but YOU did! And for her kids hearing her say "We took the risk and we lost", geepers creepers how is that going to make them feel?!
I rarely post here anymore (though I do read daily) but I mentioned last summer that I am a triplet and we were born after my parents already had 3 children under the age of 8. They weren't looking to have more but then my mom got pregnant with what they thought was their 4th child (this was way before fertility drugs). Lo and behold, only 6 weeks before we were born they found out it was triplets.
In all my life I never heard my parents complain once that "they lost" because they got 3 more instead of just 1 more. All 6 of us kids knew we were loved evenly by both parents.
I can't imagine the amount of therapy these kids are going to need just to get through life. Kate makes my blood boil.
She says family members live too far away or are too busy to help, and the stream of volunteers that came in the early months compromised the family's privacy. "There is no one," she says definitively. "I have racked my brain."
**********************************************
Oh really??? What a total crock of sh*t! How many helpers did we see in the first season?
That was AFTER they turned one years old.
Compromised their privacy!!! SHE HAD A FREAKING CAMERA CREW WITH THEM 24/7
Looking back, it's pretty obvious the reason Kate wanted Medicaid to pay for the nurse/nanny for ONE more year was because she was betting on Discovery/TLC giving her that tv gig and footing the bill for her nannies after that.
She says family members live too far away or are too busy to help, and the stream of volunteers that came in the early months compromised the family's privacy. "There is no one," she says definitively. "I have racked my brain."
------------
Compromised the family's privacy? Taxpayer $$ were demanded, volunteer time got in her way. Always an excuse for not working, not using their own resources, not having family. Too bad TLC did not read these interviews. Poor, poor Kate. Nice spin on how she miraculously conceived 6 too.

Why on earth would he be paying for her lawsuit against Jon? What does he have to gain from it?
#################
That's Bully Guy's thing- filing suits against people who he thinks is bullying someone. When he first came on the scene Kate contributed her story to his site. He has some other celebs there. That gives his site some exposure. ROL wouldn't pay attention if there were no celebs there. In return he is helping Kate fight who she calls her bullies - the people at RWA and Jon and Robert and some twitter haters- by paying the bill and using his lawyer. I have no idea where to look for a lawsuit but Admin and others who know said that there's no subpoena without a lawsuit. RWA owner said she got a subpoena and she had a lawyer check it out, so I guess Bully Guy and/or Kate is suing her. She also said the death threat is being investigated so I suppose the lady who made the death threat picture is being sued too. Kate is supposed to be suing people on twitter too. From what Admin said, it's all within the statute of limitations.
That article about Kate from long ago makes it clear why she chose to do the TV show. Sounds like she was really hurting for money and filming was a way to get money without needing to pay for day care.
The above article has a quote from Kate; "I would be taking my paycheck and giving it to the daycare". All these years later, she's still playing that card. The kids are 9 and 11. They are gone 9+ hours a day, 5 days a week, 9 months out of the year. Plus, they spend time with their dad. There is no reason for her not to work. Note to Kate: Having 8 kids should be a reason to work hard, not to refuse to work.
It looks like Milo is getting called out for sending a picture of mating butterflies to Kate's children. She said she didn't notice there were two:

Milo, I hate to break this to you, but I don't think that Kate even cares enough about you to "rein you in."
How long has it been since Kate responded to her? Maybe once in a month, or has it been longer than that?
She says family members live too far away or are too busy to help, and the stream of volunteers that came in the early months compromised the family's privacy. "There is no one," she says definitively. "I have racked my brain."

See, there ya go. There's the problem. Her brain is still on that rack. Go get it, Kate! Ha ha.
As I wade through stuff on my desk, I take a break and flip over to see what Milo is doing. The latest controversy is over Milo tweeting a photo of mating butterflies for Kate to show the kids, lol. Milo is far more entertaining than Kate these days! I think Kate is finally done.
Sheesh!! Proofread!! My comment 14 should read "not only did the G's (particularly KK) NOT pay back". Sorry about that, y'all.
I'll tell you something, I don't think that TV Guide's reporting her net worth of $5 million and $250K an episode was true. I think that was put out by Kate's publicist. According to Jodi's sister, Julie, Season 3 Jon and Kate were making $200K a year from TLC. I cannot imagine even at the end, TLC was paying them $250K an episode. TLC is a business and even though "Jon&Kate Plus 8" was popular, I don't think that kind of salary was ever negotiated. I think it was a bunch of smoke and mirrors on Kate and her publicist to make her out to be a big time reality star.
Anyway, no matter what Kate does to "scrub" the past, it's all on the internet to this day. Whatever goodwill Jon and Kate originally had from the community, it eroded with her sense of entitlement.
The above article has a quote from Kate; "I would be taking my paycheck and giving it to the daycare". All these years later, she's still playing that card. The kids are 9 and 11. The kids are nine and 12 1/2 and the twins will be teenagers in October. There is absolutely no reason she should have to pay any daycare, unless she couldn't be at the bus stop at 4:00 to pick them up. I seriously doubt that her entire paycheck would go to covering a sitter for five hours a week. Or better yet, they could take the late bus home and there would be nothing out of her paycheck.

In reference to the John Grogan | Bearing the cost of child-bearing article-
My goodness. I do believe that Kate has the biggest, most elitist, most entitled, hairiest pair of man-balls known to mankind.
Videos don't lie. We have consistently over the years seen this. It has been happening from the beginning:
Kate mentioned in the original TLC special that "the two-year olds" had never had fast food, and that they try to prepare organic food as much as possible. On the TLC special Jon and Kate: Surviving Sextuplets and Twins, a McDonald's cup can be seen on the bedstand when Mady wakes up Cara to help Kate fold clothes. Also, during "The Gosselins Go Skiing", Jon brings three of the sextuplets Happy Meals from McDonald's for their lunch break from ski school.
Matt Heckman, not a fan of Al Walentis, posted this after Al released his book:
When Al mentions the double standard that Reading Pediatrics applied to allow The Gosselin 8 to be accepted as new patients raised an eyebrow with me. My kids also go to this practice, and I remember one incident where this one kids mom argued with the nurse at the desk about accepting specific insurance, and refusing to accept a change in her kids insurance that is alleged to be the exact same insurance as The Gosselin 8 have. The nurse got snippy at this woman stating that the owner of the practice Dr. Mark Reuben made an exception for Kate Gosselin as he receives several endorsement deals with Discovery Communications. I’d be interested to see if that really is the case.

Correct, Layla. There is no reason for her not to work when her kids are in school.
A perfect job for her would be to work in the school system. She would work during school hours, and have summer off with her children.
Unfortunately, Kate is not interested in a "regular" job. She has her sights set on somehow getting back on t.v (in any capacity) without marketable talent, or personality.
Eventually, she will have no choice but to break down and look for an appropriate job.
It's inevitable...

How do you have work e-mails if you don't have a job??
Am I missing something here or did KK re-define work e-mail?

I think Kate considers anything she does to be her 'work' including meetings with lawyers. One day last fall, I think, she tweeted about 'working' and a few days later it was discovered that she actually had been meeting with her lawyers (something to do with Robert's book, I think).
IMO, she considers tweeting to be work - you know, interacting with her fans, promoting herself, with the goal being to further her 'career' which she in turn hopes to gain income from. HA I think she considers anything to do with running the household (grocery shopping, masterminding the pool boys or lawn people), making chore charts for the kids, etc. to be 'working' also.
I'll give her credit where it's due and she deserves credit for manipulating words to suit her purpose. In the case of using the word 'work', she is definitely a pro using it to deceive and mislead.

Oops, sorry, I wrote above that the kids are 9 and 11. Meant 9 and 12, of course.

God, every time Kate opens her mouth the sh!t comes flying out. She can't mother eight kids alone! Well hell, as soon as she found out she was pregnant with the tups she should have been figuring out a game plan with how to take care of all those kids. Or better still, don't roll that dice again after the twins. I had three large dogs at my house today and she sh!ts out more crap than they do.
JW...my older brother and sister are twins and my parents and the doctor didn't know she was having twins until she delivered my sister and realized there was another baby on the way. They were a little shocked but they've never complained about it.
Hope everyone has a safe and happy 4th of July. The sun finally came out today after about a week-and-a-half of rain. Beach tomorrow. Hope everyone living in triple digit heat get relief soon.

I can't quite figure out this one. I know it's Croatian, and I think that it has something to do with woman, but children. I have no idea what the last word means, but isn't bezo racist slang...a white woman with black kids who has no friends?
I wonder if Kate will try to translate this and then BLOCK, or will Milo do it for her because you know that she's got Kate's back!
To those of you who recommended Wegmans, I checked it out and found that there is one 7.6 miles from my house.

Hey, just like Stephanie!
She's just a classic case of nothing is ever good enough. A classic case of beggars can't be choosers.
I think it's pretty clear there were a mountain of volunteers, many from church, who were more than willing to devote enormous amounts of time to helping this family. People like Carla and Beth and Miss Beverly and Aunt Jodi bent over backwards to help them. I'm sure there were many others like them. But that just wasn't good enough for Kate. She wanted basically a professional baby nurse in there. You know like how she probably read that all the Hollywood moms have. Church ladies are so mediocre.
I get it, your privacy is not your own anymore and it would be nice to have one person in there. But that's how the other half lives. That's not how most people can live. Cry me a river. She has never accepted that she is just one of the mediocre. She is not Hollywood, she does not really live like how the wealthy do--she is mostly a poser, "new money" as they would say on the Titanic. Her fanciful, immature idea of how life should have been wasn't going to happen. She chose to have eight kids on a shoestring budget, and one of the consequences of eight kids is a lot of other people around. She might as well have gotten used to it anyway, with eight kids in the house nothing will be private anymore anyway.
That's all Kate needs. Milo reminding her that even a butterfly can find a mate.
All kidding aside, I think Kate being alone is the part of life she has the hardest time with...on a lot of levels.
Also, if I may, I'd like to coattail on Fido's thank you to Admin for this little corner of the www she's created here. To Admin and all the wonderful posters here, it's truly a pleasure.
I am willing to bet that she could have easily, EASILY signed up 30 women from among her relatives, friends and church ladies to help her out with these kids.
That's one woman for each day of the month. Asking people to come in ONE DAY a month is not too much to ask. There it is, problem solved. She could hold a meeting with everyone to train them all at the same time as to her silly little preferences, done.
Basically she was like a teenager who didn't want to do her school essay. Coming up with every excuse in the book why she couldn't just buck up and do it. When she could have devoted all that energy to trying to get something for nothing into solving her problem herself and getting on with life WITHOUT taking our tax dollars.
I think it's very sad that she doesn't understand how her constant bragging about sleeping in, and her work emails, and her cushy life, could make people who really do work feel badly.
If you're at a dinner party and you meet someone who looks tired and they say they just came off a 24 hour weekend shift and wish they didn't have to work such long hours, you don't launch into a long tirade about how great your hours are and how you never have to stay late and get every weekend off. It's called sensitivity. She has to realize many of her sheeple have regular jobs and much harder lives.
This is an excuse for her not to get a normal 9to5 or normal nurses shift.

The funny thing about it, though, is that she's said several times that she didn't know it was two butterflies. If I took a photo of a butterfly on a leaf, I sure as heck would know that there was more than one!

_____________
After all of this time, she still hasn't figured out if she is the poor, overworked, exhausted, couponing mother of eight kids who has to count every penny because their dead-beat father pays no support and never wants to see them, or the glitzy, celebrity mom who rubs elbows with the rich and famous, one who sleeps late and sips wine by the pool and is driven in a limo to NYC for Nobu, television appearances and thousand dollar hair coloring.
Must be tough living in both worlds and not knowing which person you want to be from one day to the next.
Whatever happened to the LEATHER sofa? We haven't heard anything about it for quite some time!

Oh yes Sherry you are right how can I forget that KK would be a super star nurse.
We're really getting deep into the brain here which is a scary thing, but I think the reason she can't decide who she is is because she doesn't know who she is, or maybe even doesn't like who she is.
She WANTS to be a celebrity but I think deep down she knows she can't really fit in there. She will be all her other personalities as the situation suits it. If she's grifting she has no money, if she feels like throwing Jon under the bus she's the wronged ex wife, etc.
Scott really has never said it better, she is inauthentic. She switches personalities whenever the situations suits her. For Scott, she was the couponing mama. Has she EVER mentioned coupons again? Nope, of course not. Which is I think exactly what he meant. Who she is, is fake.

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
LOL, Local! I knew it right away when I looked at the photo. Butterflies typically don't lie on their sides like they are advertising a Sleep Number Bed, unless something is going on! I guess living in farm country, I'm kind of used to the mating ritual (or else my mind just went that way...)!
I'm so naive LOL. Now if the butterflies were dogs Ida known right away haha
I'm sorry I went over to the National Enquirer site and read that article. What a pack of misinformation. They make it sound like Jon lives in a tent and sleeps on the ground instead of in a nice, comfortable looking little cottage. They also make it sound like he's been out partying and drinking and tomcatting around every night for the past 4 years instead of being in 2 long-term relationships with what seem to be very nice women and working for the past 3 or so years. They're as expert at twisting things as KK is.
They also make it sound like he's on some bizarre revenge mission to really get Kate by going on DWTS and showing her up. When really he was just throwing the idea out there, bantering back and forth, and having a friendly discussion about it all in good fun. There was nothing sinister about his DWTS comments. Of course Kate would come up, as she is his ex and was on the show, why wouldn't she? It would be weird if they didn't mention her in such a context.
Kate's driveway is set with flags. Bet the kids said "DADDY" started the idea. It's too bad family/friends and drive by don't get to see. Wonder if the front door that no one except Gosselin kids and Kate see is decorated. Most kids love to share with friends/family not just nannies and Mother.
Proud to be Americans...with our driveway in full display... pic.twitter.com/UBIVizwoZf

Did she seriously post a picture of her flag lined driveway...AGAIN? Can't come up with anything new?

I think Kate does understand what she say's and does.
By saying she sleeps in and gets to do whatever she wants.
When she wants and how she wants. To me that her showing off.
I've been away for a few days, first time I've checked in. What's this butterflygate?? I mean, how is that photo possibly being associated with pedophilia? What am I missing?
All I can say is woe to those who seek to pull the wool over the good people of PA. Not only are they kind and compassionate, they can smell BS a mile away! Makes me proud to be an American (cue the flag cake!).
I've been away for a few days, first time I've checked in. What's this butterflygate?? I mean, how is that photo possibly being associated with pedophilia? What am I missing?
____________
Milo took a picture of two butterflies on a plant and tweeted it to Kate and the kids. One of the haters saw that it was two butterflies mating (which it was) and launched into an accusation of pedophilia against Milo. Milo said that two creatures mating was natural in nature and Kate wouldn't be offended by it. She also said several times that when she took the picture she didn't know there were two butterflies.
I have no idea what that has to do with pedos, but the few haters jumped on her, accusing her of tweeting porn to the children.
Milo may be a strange old bird, but she didn't deserve that. It seems that the few haters left on Twitter have been extremely nasty lately. I thought that some of them had been outed by BV and allegedly were defendants in a class-action lawsuit. Yet there they are on Twitter, making horrible accusations left and right to the sheeple. They just can't stop. Of course, the sheep bait the haters, knowing that the haters will attack, and it gives the sheeple an excuse to launch a counter-attack. It's tit for tat, a vicious cycle.
I think it's fine for kids to see butterflies mating, it's just nature. Actually, I think Milo was very lucky to stumble upon such a thing (figures she didn't know it, lol!), National Geographic photographers sit around for days waiting for just such a thing and she just stumbles upon it!
But Milo sure loves to dish it out, yet can't seem to take it back, huh?
Yes and that's the thing with Milo, it's really not fair to tell people you are going to sue the pants off them, and support outings and other vile things, and then turn around and cry when someone is just as nasty back to you.
This is definitely a case where both sides are at fault now, no one is innocent, and no one is deserving of much sympathy unless they themselves have never gone there (and of course, there is a sizable group that doesn't and was attacked anyway). Milo certainly is no innocent in this.
How many traditions does Kate have?
She does something once and claims it as a tradition and never does it again.
MiloandJack
@Kateplusmy8 TRADITION! Hope you had 8 lil helpers2put all those flags out..family affair! :) Lawn looks beautiful..I see trees recovered!
+++++++++++++++++
Milo, the trees were never destroyed during that Halloween storm. She lost one tree. There was nothing from which to recover. That whole thing was one big exaggeration.
Yes, she put out the flags again, and the sheeple are drooling over the beauty of it all. No surprise there.
That is a halfway decent cell phone photo. The light is REALLY nice, as is the sky.

It means: Woman, your kids grew up so faaast.
It's full of typos, that's why translator doesn't work with it.
Yeah... The light IS beautiful, Admin (78). And that sure looks like a driveway to the house of a woman just scraping by.
The volunteers compromised "the family's privacy". Now, exactly what would that have looked like? The volunteers were helping manage 6 infants and two toddlers, not exactly a lot to reveal to the outside world, unless it's talk about changing diapers. My guess is Kate's demanding ways became the subject of outside discussion and she sent them all packing.
It never, ever will change. Kate feels entitled, always has, and always will. Her children are a burden to her, preventing her from getting an ordinary job, and holding her back from moving to Hollywood, where she feels she belongs. Those kids carry the weight of their mother's
delusional mind every day. If it wasn't for them she would not have been famous, but now they are becoming a drag on her ability to get back in the celebrity game, so to speak. Their novelty has had it's time, and it is over, yet Kate spends every moment "working" on ways to change that, to get it all back.
Posting pictures of her kids for "Memory Mondays" on her blog is so thinly veiled. She wants to remind her viewers of the kids when they were making her famous on their show, not longing for them to be little again, she still sees them that way. She remains stuck in the past, wondering where it all went off the rails.
Sherry Baby 73, Thanks for the explanation. I went over and looked at the photo. It's quite a nice shot. She could save it, tweek it a bit to bring in a little more contrast or crop out the faded out area and make some nice postcards to send to friends who might enjoy it. Kate certainly doesn't...she never comments on Milo's pictures.
I found one tweet from a non-fan so much more gross than that photo could ever be. WOW!!
This is definitely a case where both sides are at fault now, no one is innocent, and no one is deserving of much sympathy unless they themselves have never gone there (and of course, there is a sizable group that doesn't and was attacked anyway).
__________________
Exactly. It's gotten so ugly over there. The thing is, though, I think that both sides enjoy it. They thrive on it. They'd be lost without it. Milo certainly isn't innocent, especially when it comes to trashing Jon. She can bait with the best of them.
I think that's exactly right, some people just love the drama and conflict. They wouldn't be doing this otherwise. I think most healthy people try to resolve conflict, not instigate it, and therefore it can be hard to watch people who don't seem to have any interest in conflict resolution. And frustrating if you yourself would like to see a resolution to it.
Is it just me, or is this a really strange thing for a woman to tweet to another woman?
MiloandJack
@xxxxxxxxxx I'm feeling kind of puny 2day...come make me feel awesome...:)

----------------
Right, admin. When a non-fan tweeted to Milo that the butterfly picture was odd to tweet to Kate and the kids, Milo responded:
Fired Up 4 Kate @MiloandJack 8h
@ANONY_MOUSECAT @Kateplusmy8 I didn't get out my magnifying glass 2check out the foreplay..but leave it 2the true pedos 2comment N that way!
Milo didn't hesitate in calling them "pedos." She can dish it out, too. Of course she always includes Kate in her tweets...I guess to show that she's a martyr for Kate.
Exactly. Milo was the first to go there about pedos. You can't call someone that then expect sympathy. It's perfectly reasonable to question whether animals mating is appropriate for young children.
On another note they're quick to use that word yet refuse to admit a convicted pedophile worked on the show. Pathetic.
I can't bang my head anymore, but if I could, this tweet would be a reason to do it!

Unfortunately I don't think she's learning anything when it comes to photography, I think this photo was just good luck.
That's the other thing, unless she is willing to hire a constant photographer for her blog, she should get an SLR camera, take a class, read or otherwise try to improve her photography. Photography is essential to a blog. That's what PW did. She knew how to take photos more or less but she was just an amateur when she started. She realized photos were important to her blog so she worked very hard to improve. She's still no Ansel Adams but her photography has improved by leaps and bounds and the photos are definitely professional blog worthy. Motivation. It's a good thing.
It's interesting how perfectly those flags are placed each year. Does she measure? More likely the landscape boys do the work. Up next, the flag cake.
Happy 4th of July.
See Saw, I am kinda' particular -- sometimes, too much. And, I would not be able to line my driveway with such straight and evenly spaced flags. Hard ground and tree roots and just plain carelessness would affect my results.
Her display is impressive. I doubted that she did the work, too. Definitely no children were involved.
Our kids stuck flags along the curb one year. They were bunched together or spread way out. No pattern at all. I know her kids didn't do that unless Mommy put a dot of spray paint at each location for them. Well, maybe she did.
See Saw, it is a kind thought that she did something that ambitious.
I bet you were proud of those flag clumps.
Happy 4th to everyone.
When you don't work you have plenty of time to strategically measure each and every flag perfectly I suppose!
New post everyone in case you didn't see it. Have a wonderful and safe holiday.
