Isadora Duncan . . . Five or so years ago I was working on a crossword puzzle in the newspaper and the tv was on in the background. One crossword clue was "Duncan of dance." The only Duncan I could think of was Sandy Duncan, but that didn't fit. As I was thinking, the celebrity who was being interviewed on tv said "I always pretended I was Isadora Duncan!" Bingo! There was my answer! Lol I had never heard of Isadora before that. It was a strange moment.

First of all I want to say I'm totally against BV's methods. He 100% believes information provided to him by some of Kate's fans and in one case the information is incorrect and in another case the information is outright lies. He also outed one non fan who didn't fit his description of what the "haters" allegedly have said and done. When he outed her he also gave the name of her son. The haters say she's almost suicidal over this whole thing. True or an exaggeration? I wouldn't know because she disappeared.
However there are two sides to every story and I believe over the years the stories have become, shall we say, embellished on both sides? Both sides have said some horrible things. And neither side will give an inch, therefore the battle rages. How long has it been going on now ... seven years?
I was reading the Twitter timelines of a couple of Kate's fans last night and they're still rehashing old grudges and have said they're not yet ready to put aside their anger and in fact thanked BV for empowering them.
The alleged daughter mocked for allegedly looking "just raped" was actually an idiotic comment from a rabid Kate fan who mocked a photo put up by a non fan of someone with very curly hair. The fan said her husband called that kind of hair the "just raped" look. I saw the tweet. From there things spun out of control. This is just one example.
And I'd like to ask Catherine if she remembers #DIAF?
No one is ready to throw in the towel. BV has definitely emboldened some of Kate's fans and now they like to show up on Kate's time line and taunt the non fans. The non fans haven't gone away, they've merely made their accounts private in some cases.

Re: Cory Monteith. Another young Hollywood tragedy. Cory ( of Glee fame) was found dead in a Vancouver hotel room yesterday. He had been a troubled youth, was into petty crime and drugs and then broke into acting. While one can't make assumptions about his death and any role of being a young celebrity had in his demise,it does seem a possibility that his lifestyle rekindled his old battle with drugs and he failed in rehab. Very sad, only 31.
It hasn't and doesn't accomplish anything. You have to be able to deal with any "wrongs" in your life quickly and efficiently, otherwise they fester and fester and start ruling your life. When you are slighted, wronged, put down, whatever, either turn the other cheek or deal with it somehow, right then. But letting all these slights go on years and years just isn't healthy.
That's really how I see Kate and some of these people at this point. As people simply unable to move forward in life, to understand bad things in life happen and you need to just deal with them and then get on with life.
Even the video posted here is actually a great example. Yes it was wrong, and I had no problem apologizing for it. However at the same time, that was posted two years ago and has been swiffered for two long years. I mean, seriously? Who is thinking about such a thing, digging up such slights, from TWO YEARS ago? The time to make a stink about such a thing is when it's released, not two years down the road. Heck I couldn't even remember much about it. It really does speak to some people's inability to simply just move on from life's wrongs and slights.
I've always thought Kate has a very score-keeping personality. In her head there is a giant system of points and those that take points from her, no matter how slight or how long ago, must pay. This really is just a very unhealthy way to live life and I have wished for a long time she would get therapy, if only for the sake of her children.
If Ashley was at the house anytime in July, it wasn't as an invited guest for the 4th. Most likely it was to babysit while Kate and Jamie went out when Kate was spotted drinking that martini and that was after the 4th. Must be nice to have everyone around you sign CA's so you can lie all the time.
Besides, if Kate had "friends" over for the 4th, she would tweet just that. She always has in the past.

I am a Glee fan, and am shocked sorry about Cory's premature death. I am glad to see that most news media aren't jumping the gun and saying that he OD'd on drugs. He did complete rehab, perhaps, it didn't work. Or perhaps, he died from health issue related to his previous drug abuse before he entered rehab. Hopefully, an autopsy will clear that up.

Hi all - I'm enjoying the discussions here. I only get a chance in the am to pop in here so I apologize if I'm behind in the comments.
Admin - my husband and I did try to find any current cases involving BV or Kate or Jon or Robert and found nothing. Not that that doesn't mean there isn't one just that we couldn't find it in any federal databases or the PA state ones we checked.
I think, however, that if there was one it would have turned up by now. If Lisa from RWA would simply post the case number that would help.
What a mess! As for posting here, I'm not too worried about BV going after anyone here. I think they realize no one here would take it lying down as the RWA posters have and also I don't think anyone here has posted the hate filled comments that were typical over there. I'll never say never, but I would be surprised.
My understanding as to why Preesi shut down her site was a) the show was over and b) she was just done with running a forum devoted to Kate only. I think she still forums about reality tv in general and Kate is discussed if it's relevant. I think she also wanted, now the show was done, to try and give the kids their privacy. How sad that the only way you'll take them anywhere is with a support staff of at least a "friend" and a nanny and possibly a bodyguard. If you are as organized as you claim then taking 8 kids on a trip shouldn't' be a problem. I could see having a friend along to help but an entourage?

Much of the time, but not always. It depends on the venue and how many comps are available for the performer to give out. Venues usually put aside a certain amount of tickets for guests of the performer. Each performer in the show (such as band members) gives the names and number of guests they are expecting to the head of production. If the number exceeds those that are set aside by the venue, then they are out of luck.
In some cases, such as in a small venue, the number of comps available will be lower. Many times in the contract it is written that if comps are put aside, those comps go back into ticket sales if the show is sold out. They want to sell tickets. Venues need all the tickets they can get to sell. Venues are out to make money, not give away freebies to everyone who asks, no matter if you know the star performer or not. One way to get comps is to have the performer meet you at the venue and "walk you back" and you can watch the show from backstage.

Oh, and I forgot to add that the comps many times aren't determined until the day of the show; in fact, sometimes two hours before showtime. You might think you are getting in for free, arrive at the venue, only to find out that the comps were released back for ticket sales. I remember at one concert a close relative of one of the performers figured she was comped, arrived at the show only to find out that there were no more comps available. It's embarrassing, but that's the way it is in the world of concert entertainment.

Kate's in the midst of a Sunday am tweet party and all the while she's doing laundry! What an amazing woman!!!!!!! Her fans, mostly teenage,,are eating it up, not realizing that this is all about selling the book.
How would they even have time for such a thing? How would they coordinate it with their schedules? They filmed CWS over Columbus Day weekend but holiday weekends are few and far between and no regular production is going to be okay with working every holiday. By her own diaries it was hard enough to coordinate shooting schedules when they were toddlers and WEREN'T in school. They're all in school full time now and by Kate's own military schedule per the CWS manual they spend most of their time doing homework and choring. Most, almost all kids who work on T.V. at that age with any regularity have to be homeschooled. Is that what she plans to do, pull them out?
Filming at this point is just such a grade-school fantasy. It's just so unrealistic. If the kids want to film give them a camera and have at it, problem solved. And I'm sorry you can have plenty of fun during childhood without a film crew. What a pathetic statement.

Notice how she totally avoided the first part of the question. In the past, she would say "4 days" or "2 weekends" a month. She won't admit that he sees them more than that now.
I always knew the kids are brainwashed to think that fun and trips only happen if there's a film crew involved, and Kate just confirms it over and over again. I am sure that the kids were told that all the fun stuff would go away if the filming stopped.
I remember Kate moaning about the kids not getting to NYC because Jon stopped the filming, and the kids were so upset. Why not tell the kids that Mom will figure out a way to make it happen? She burdens them with adult problems all the time.
She's still bragging about how the kids take care of her. I wish she'd buck up and stop sharing her woes with children who need not be burdened.

They were all so young, I'm not really sure they can really remember what filming was really about. The way we perceive things when we are that little is usually not how an older child would. Like if a four year old is at a T ball game he may only remember the lady bug he found on first base. But an older child would remember a ball game more like an adult would--the hard practices, the hot weather, the sweat, the crack of the bat, the winning and losing.
The point being I'm not sure how they can possibly know they really want to film again. They simply were not old enough to really understand and remember everything that filming entailed. If they actually got back into it they very likely may be shocked at how long, tiring, and hard work it really was. And as older children now, they would be expected to do a lot more work. To behave, to not cause problems on set, to sit down for long interviews on the couch.
Now she's telling her fans that a follow up show will be forthcoming.

Yeah, if TLC is willing at all to film, which I'm not even sure they are, I can see TLC being willing to come into the home over a long weekend and maybe film Christmas preparations or Thanksgiving or something and call it a day.
But Kate wants a trip and a VIP experience. She probably wants some kind of international vacation to Paris and London. TLC is not going to fork over huge bucks for just an update special. It's not necessary. They want a quickie, get in there and get enough footage to slap together and dump it on the Saturday night lineup. The trips are over with, she can kiss that life goodbye. Just look at your history recent and pass.
It appears that the majority of Kate's fans are teens and young 20-somethings. What she doesn't realize is that these are kids and that she can't sustain their loyalty as fans for any length of time. Teens are enamored with a celebrity one minute, lose interest and move on to the next one. She could never gain the viewership that she had with Jon and Kate Plus Eight. She had her day basking in the world of entertainment, but it's over. The kids aren't toddlers anymore, even though she wants her fans to believe that they are. How many of them have tweeted their cute sayings, or their favorite episodes when one child did something, said something, looked so adorable, and so forth? Problem is that they aren't marketable. They are cute kids, but there probably are many cute kids, YOUNG kids to take the place of the Gosselin Eight.
She will never accept that, though, and thus the kids hang on to HER dream of putting them back on television. How sad.
Also whatever she is normally doing why can't she just film that?
For instance all the "work" she is doing on the cookbook, wouldn't that make a somewhat mildly (bear with me) interesting update special? The whole process of it? The photoshoot and meetings and recipe testing?

When the time and details are right = I've pitched my a$$ off to different networks and so far no one is biting. AND we'd have to think of something else to call it because TLC owns the rights to J&K+8 as well as K+8.
Unfortunately for Kate the kids have lost the cute toddler factor and anyone that saw CWS knows that they're just ordinary run of the mill 9 & 12 year olds. I’ve seen a few things recently that struck a strong chord of truth. 1) Someone said “you are known by the company you keep” and 2) Kate’s Twitter timeline has become a cesspool (as a direct result of the company she has chosen to keep, in my opinion). Someone else (a fan – I’m certain of it) guided her to become associated with the “bullying” crusader and as a result, her timeline is now either directly cluttered with (or linked to) the crudest forms of vulgarity, filth and threats, and populated by thugs, goons, wayward teen vigilantes and lowlifes. Not exactly a wholesome image.
The filthiest filth I’ve ever seen directly connected to Kate Gosselin, aside from the manic and obscene outbursts by Goody2shoes who has become even more emboldened lately, has been a direct result of the mistake Kate made by aligning herself with this element. It has attracted the attention of a whole underground of unsavory individuals and remarkably, her fans appear to be in regular contact with these individuals! Her fans (Milo, Miss Goody, the old lady with the heart problem, and many others) are as attracted to and titillated by them, as they are to the “Kate wars”.
She thinks she will get another TV show now? She’s just waiting for the right timing and details? I don’t think so. First of all, what would said show be about? Her less-than-interesting brood of pre-teens? Another showcase for their first-class travels? It didn’t sell the first time – it won’t sell a second time. If Kate Gosselin had the fanbase she fantasizes about, or if she and her children were appealing enough to attract and retain an audience, she’d still have a show. But it was cancelled almost two years ago, if I’m not mistaken?
She cannot make it as a live personality. Her less-than-stellar performances on talk shows and at personal appearances seem to have closed that door. She has done a few one-off appearances but is just as unlikeable as ever, just as awkward, just as narcissistic. As a result she is seldom asked back. Add the filth and near-criminal alliances she’s chosen to support and encourage, to her already tarnished persona, and she has sealed her own fate.
How can one person consistently make such colossal mistakes? If I didn’t know how badly she wants to be a star, I’d be tempted to believe she has deliberately set out to sabotage her options. Or she’s really that dumb.

Anyone with half a brain could spend two minutes on that web site and realize it's clearly a for-profit endeavor plastered with ads and funneling mechanism to other more lucrative sites like Cheaterville. It might as well be a porn site. It's set up like one.
If you want to stand up for the bullied by all means, do so. But as with anything, be careful who you align yourself with. There is a legit site called stopbullying.gov. One look at it and you will see the drastic difference. It is professional looking, ad-free and run by legit above board people like teachers and the Department of Health and Human services. It is a rational site with good resources and real solutions. They also have a twitter account, in which instead of harassing and being bullies themselves, they tweet and retweet important and helpful information. LIke this one from last week:

It's simply jaw-dropping that she continues to encourage this and remain associated with it. I agree completely that there are legitimate sites to align with regarding bullying. But of course, none of Kate's involvement ever had a thing to do with the serious and legitimate issue of kids being bullied, sometimes to the point of suicide. No. It was all about Kate herself, perceiving herself as a victim, but taking NO actions to protect herself from the perpetrators, such as getting off a public Twitter forum, thereby eliminating the problem in a few mere keystrokes. Or failing that, making her account only accessible to those who "support" her. Not so hard to do as she imagines since it's been a very long time since her inbox was overflowing. How can you help someone who refuses to help themselves?
Her over-inflated ego just won't permit her to concede that she doesn't know what she's doing or that she fundamentally has not a single talent to make her attractive to a career in TV. I don't know if Kate is a wealthy person or not. I presume she is still fairly well off. But she's now wasted two years trying to sell what no one seems to want or need to purchase. She couldn't have possibly made enough money to see her through the next 10 or 15 years of supporting those 8 kids. The mansion upkeep must be very expensive, the private school, the hired help, the vehicles and whatever other outward appearances of fame need to be kept up. Eventually she will have to get a job. A full time job. And I will be stunned if it's in TV.
Who wants an already unliked and unappealing TV personality and now one who is allied with such an unsavory bunch of rescuers and fans, all yukking it up in the background. I imagine the last thing people think of anymore (if they think of her at all) is that she is a sweet little mom of eight.

She never understood it was the MARRIAGE that was the star of the show. The marriage and the sweet babies. The nagging wife and the henpecked husband. The young couple trying to cope with the pressures of having all those babies to care for. Now she has neither the marriage NOR the cute babies. And so she fails. Time after time.
The second show, with her in a 'starring' role was a bore. The kids weren't sweet babies anymore. No one could relate to the expensive trips and the wealthy, plasticized, bitchy, entitled mom. She was (and is) an Abbott without a Costello. A bad without a good. A woman without a man. It's not interesting. Even the fans couldn't keep it afloat.

How bizarre. There's a reason why Kate's been called a Pin Head, a Jackhole and made the Ridiculist on AC's show. How is any of this untrue?
Usually when people see themselves on tv it's a wake up call, but if Kate can watch SP's Alaska and not feel ashamed for her behavior, then she's living in denial.
For how many more years does Kate think the fans will buy her optimism about getting back on TV? It's been almost 2 years. In 2 more years, will she still be telling them that they'll be back when the timing is right?Will anyone still be asking? She got to share ONE episode of a show with someone else's family in the past 2 years. That's it. No updates, no new G8 show, no nothing. I find it hard to believe that she even believes that she can still make a comeback. Everyone in show business knows she's been available for a long time. Nobody has bothered to pick her up for anything but that single CWS episode, and even that was with someone more popular (Kendra) to carry her. I keep wondering if even she is that delusional, and then I remember that this is Kate. She thinks she's destined for stardom.
I thought the house was the kids' house. Both Jon and Kate said that it was theirs, that it was purchased for them, and it was definitely part of the trust set up for the kids. But now it's hers? Did she buy it from the kids' trust? Did she transfer it to her name when she took the second mortgage out? Do the kids know it's not theirs any longer? If she's claiming the kids' house as her own, is she also claiming their money for herself? This concerns me. A lot.

There is a legit site called stopbullying.gov. One look at it and you will see the drastic difference. It is professional looking, ad-free and run by legit above board people like teachers and the Department of Health and Human services. It is a rational site with good resources and real solutions. They also have a twitter account, in which instead of harassing and being bullies themselves, they tweet and retweet important and helpful information.

Actually, one of the sheeple added up how much money Kate would make (she figured 156,000 followers each buying a book, and Kate getting half the list price of $22.95 for each book sold), and announced on Twitter that Kate stood to make $1.7 million off the cookbook. HA! talk about dreaming! First, a lot of Kate's so-called followers are bought. They won't be buying any books of they're not real. Then, of course, many of them are non-fans, who want nothing to do with Kate's crappy cooking. So, how many are left to actually buy the book? Not too many, it seems. Plus, the book's price was lowered almost immediately.
Amazon has 255 pre-orders, and Barnes and Noble has it available for pre-order, too. One person who posts here and is a writer said that B&N orders end up being one-half to two-thirds of the number of Amazon orders, so Kate probably has about 400-450 pre-orders, total. After almost 4 months. She only has a little over 2 months to go, so she'd better figure out something, fast. One it's released, the press will get ahold of the ridiculously low number of sales, and that will be a huge public embarrassment for Kate.

The spelling, grammar, lack of any ability to form a cohesive sentence, an inability to engage commenters with intelligent conversation was bad, really bad. It's in line with Kate's Scorched Earth approach to things.
I do not know anything about book publishing but I think that the odds are good that this cookbook will never be published. So, it might be fun to try and guess what her next attempt at fame will be. I'll go first....she will create a line of "deaging" products with Deanna.
