With all the excitement over the good news, it's easy to forget that the yet to be named prince already has his life's destiny planned for him. The Mirror wrote a rather frank open letter to the new royal, urging him to remember he has a "bumhole" like everyone else and to be wary of camera phones. But the snide article also has a few good tips for the tyke:

Well, no, I needed to respond at some point ‘cause the rumors get out of control. I mean, ninety-nine percent of what you read about me online is not true. Um, it’s far from true. And so, I feel like the answers that I put out there were because I have to remember that my kids are going to be able to look back on this, and there’s certain things I needed to come out and say, I need to clear the record and say this is not what’s happening, I mean…..

Absolutely. It is true the kids could see what is said about Kate. However, most celebrities expect some snark and their children could see it. That is a consequence of being a celebrity and we could debate all day whether it's okay to say anything negative about someone in the public eye lest their children MIGHT see it. Perhaps anyone in the public eye who has kids should be off limits, because they might see it. If you are unfortunate enough not to reproduce, then you are fair game?
In any case, the big difference here, however, is that her fans are tweeting this Jon bashing directly to Kate. She sees it, she sometimes even retweets it, and she is twitter friends with everyone doing the bashing.
We are not tweeting TFW-bashing to Jon. In fact when he was on twitter, he asked people to stop tweeting him that nonsense. Same as we have been asking Kate to do the same.
The issue really isn't so much people who want to bash Jon. By all means, he's in the public eye, snark away. The issue is they are directly involving Kate, who passively and sometimes even actively supports it. SHE has no right to bash him or support the bashing of him, as he is her children's father. He is not OUR children's father, nor is Kate our children's mother. Any kid with public parents will eventually understand some people don't like their mom or dad and they usually get over it. Is what is being said here about TFW true? That might make the difference about what should be out there for the kids to read. They already know the truth.
Yes, not to mention, the bulk of the snark about TFW is just commenting on what we think of things she actually said and did. I can't imagine anyone who doesn't understand the concept of having an opinion about what a celebrity says and does. Goodness, the kids are fans of the Jonas brothers and other similar kiddie celebs, surely they understand people having an opinion about a celebrity.
Whereas most things about Jon are just flat out lies, not "opinions": i.e. he never sees the children, he has no job, he jumps from woman to woman, he doesn't want to support his children. Those are not opinions.

The way I understood it, the interlock was not on the boat, it was on her car. That comment was made between the 'going to the lake' rants, when she was ranting about her car needing an oil change.
I think the fans are enraged that Jon still has someone interested in interviewing him, while TFW does not. Of course, TFW wants a TV interview, and she's not going to get it. An interview of any sort is just not going to happen A quick blurb (not an interview) on RadarOnline, and then the next day it's forgotten.
It's hilarious that Goody keeps encouraging TFW to write a book or a series of articles for a major publication. Of course, TFW would do it, but the fact is, no major publication is going to tarnish its own reputation by printing anything that was written by her. And of course, she can't even sell a cookbook, even when it is crammed with pictures of her 8 little trump cards. When all else fails, she has always been able to sell pictures of the kids. Now, however, nobody seems to be buying. Of course, people can look at them on TFW's website for free, so why pay for them? She can't even get a little website to pay her for a blog anymore, let alone any major magazine or a book publisher. Who is going to buy a book written by TFW about how jellus people are of her? IJWYTK sold about 10,000 copies. The cookbook might sell 1,000. Goody's proposed book might sell 10.
The fans are in such a tizzy because they are reminded of TFW's lack of audience. No TV, no talk shows, no magazines, nothing. TFW wants to be on TV, but nobody wants to see her there. Jon wants a private life, but people still want to interview him, and there's still an audience who will read the interview. The fans can't figure that out. Well, let's spell it out for them, shall we? People are sick of TFW. The kids aren't little and cute anymore, so nobody wants to look at them. Maybe a current picture now and then, but no more than that. Jon has been quiet through all TFW's histrionic fits, so people are interested in what he has to say in response to it all. It's as simple as that. Maybe if TFW walked away and shut her mouth for 4 years like Jon did, then people would start being curious about her again. But we know that is never going to happen.
OT: I just saw a great story on the CBS morning news that shows how positive twitter can be.
A sports writer Richard Deitsch sent out a tweet asking his followers ( apparently he has 87,000 actual followers) if they had a photo of the best moment of their lives. And many, many people did and sent the photos in. Births. Soldiers returning home. Families. Proposals. Cancer patients finding out they were cured. So many wonderful hopeful happy positive stories.
Twitter can be used for good, to share good things. Wow!

Milo insists that TFW s taking the high road by staying silent about this. Milo's wrong. TFW is silent because she has always had someone else fight her battles for her. She's too weak to do it herself. She started with TLC ("Can we sue?"), then when Jon's exclusivity with TLC ended, she turned to BV to go after him. She has always used the courts to bully others into submission, and of course her fans are always coming to her rescue. She uses others to bully any opponent into submission. She has to be beside herself right now because neither Jon nor Hoffman is backing down. Both have told her, "Bring it on!", and that means she will have to take a stand instead of cowering behind others. Only this time, she doesn't have TLC to pay for her legal bullying. For the first time. she has to pay her own way, and when she fails to take down Jon and RH, she is stuck with both her own failure and her legal expenses.
Speaking of paying her own way, I bet it just infuriates her when she has to pay for her own personal upkeep--tanning, nails, hair (what happened to her trips to NYC for hair frying, anyway?), etc--which TLC paid for so long. Not to mention the bills they used to pick up to keep the "set" looking good, such as housekeepers, lawn care, pool care, laundress, ironing lady, probably upkeep on vehicles and a groomer to keep the dog looking good. She didn't have to pay for any of that for 6 years, and now it's all on her. She thought it was all going to be paid forever. No wonder she wrote about her sweaty moments at the bill-paying table. She probably has a complete tantrum when she's writing out those checks.

So, true, Layla. The sad part is that this could change, and people will want to look at them again if any of the children start having behavioral problems in later teen years after this period of normal, quiet nothingness.
People just love a good train wreck, and I fear one may be coming given how TFW has used these children to further her personal desires. She surrounds them with constant negative energy and criticism. She acts both entitled and victimized. She has failed in her duty to protect their privacy and shield them from ridicule and gossip. She has betrayed them in every way imaginable. I'm afraid her narcissistic parenting cookbook contains many recipes for disaster. And people will want to watch that. People will most definitely want to watch that.
Even some parents who do all the right things - who don't sell their children's private lives, who respect them, who listen to them and care for their emotional well-being, who show them they are loved beyond measure, and who put their needs above all else - have found they can't prevent their kids from getting into terrible troubles.

There was an article in the Chicago Tribune on Sunday about BlogHer. It showed ways to be a successful blogger and who did they say does it the right way? Pioneer Woman. They said she is extremely loyal to her blog fans and also said how she managed to turn a blog into a very successful business with tv and books. Basically everything TFW doesn't do.
It's been two years, or close enough. When does she wake up and smell the coffee? As in, no one is coming forward to offer her a job, pay the bills, fly her to marathons, conferences, etc. Book pre-sale is a joke. Fired from not one, but two, blogging jobs. How hard is blogging, many of us here write personal or travel blogs, and are far better unpaid writers. Spends her time engaging with seriously creepy people on twitter. Guess it's a good thing her kids have 9 hours school days. It is indeed a miracle that no one has been injured in that pool given that her eyes are glued to her phone. I seriously think there are summer nannies. Meanwhile, her ex works full time, has the kids for weekday dinners, out on weekends, and in public, too. I bet he has time to do his laundry, AND grocery shop. THW's unholy trio can twit crap all day long, but they are delusional about everything.
Has it been a year since the last BlogHer convention? Wow, time flies.
Back then Kate was greedily grabbing and grifting 8 of everything she could see, cackling mine all mine. Pretty sure it's been more than a week, but it's taken no time for her sales to explode once she made the announcement. The comparison is so interesting to me. PW has made the effort and done the hard work to make herself known. Kate has relied on her six rabid fans. Oooops.
Even here, in little french speaking Québec, a reporter sent by Radio-Canada (french-canadian CBC) in Chicago for BlogHer was all excited because Lee Drummond would be at the convention. She couldn't wait to meet her! And everybody on that morning show knew exactly who was Lee Drummond. It was also said that a film about Pionner Woman was in the works. So. There you have it. One can be an real international star without bearing sextuplets. But you do have to work at it. Bummer, Kate, huh?

According to novelrank, they've been tracking PW book since May 18. She sold 65 in May, and in June she sold 290, and in July, so far, 1238 copies have been pre-ordered. And that just through Amazon.
And poor TFW's book is limping along with 277 sold in a 4 month period.
Also, on PW's novelrank page there is an additional note which is not included on TFW's page.
"Sales Estimates are underestimated and actual sales may be much higher."
Probably with all the brisk sales of PW's book, they can't update fast enough, while with TFW's book there isn't much to update.
Behind on posts--just got to placental weight question (TFW claimed 2 lbs each)
The average size for a full-term baby is 1-1.5 lbs (around 15% of baby weight). The average size of tups was 3 lbs., so, since the placenta grows relative to the baby, in a single baby pregnancy, the placenta would probably be closer to .5 lbs. Therefore. the placenta may have been smaller and some of the placentas may have been stunted or fused due to crowding and positioning.
So, TFW claims 12 lbs? Closer to 3-4 lbs--a meager overstatement of 300%-400% (math is hard!).

TV pundits have been using the word narcissist to describe Anthony Weiner regarding his latest scandal. I find this quite profound and I do make the connection. Both he and TFW repeatedly persist on exhibiting behavior that continues to have a negative impact on their lives (granted, his is downright blatent and disgusting.) To them, indulging their whims and cravings for self indulgence is first and foremost, even though it the behavior has previously resulted in job loss, criticism and loss of future employment. It also hurts the people and children who love and depend on them.
TFW was extremely greedy, hard to deal with and demanding during J&K+8. TLC stuck with her and continued the show. They even wanted her to have her own show where she would be shown being less than glamorous. That would have been a hit. Then, it supposedly evolved to TFW going to sheeple's houses and giving them advice. After expell-gate, that didn't seem like a wise idea. TFW said herself, she was the breadwinner for 8 children and after builing a million dollar lifestyle for herself, it was incumbent on her to maintain it. I know I, and probably the rest of you here, would have cleaned out pig pens if TLC asked me. But TFW persisted on constant travel. Ratings tanked and the show was canceled. She acted as if this was a complete shock and she didn't see it coming. At her CC gig, it appears that she learned nothing from the TLC debacle. After she was fired, an unnamed CC employee said she made constant demands of CC to pay for this and that and to pay for Steve.
Weiner did a bunch of press last spring and claimed he was remorseful and had left his compulsions behind. We now know he was again talking to several different women when he said that.
When TFW did her press tour after being fired from TLC, she said she needed to work and would work at McDonalds to support her kids. When in reality, she got the job at CC and went right back to demanding that CC pay for her lifestyle and perks. Her blogs for CC were horrible nonsense and had no relatibility to anyone. So when she got a gig at The Stir? Did she seek help with her writing? Ask for guidance? No, she went straight back to writing the same ridiculous crap she wrote for CC. That gig lasted less than six months.
Now, Anthony Weiner is refusing to quit the NYC mayor's race. In true narcissist form, he refuses to take responsibility for his self destructive actions. This despite the fact he looked America in the eye a few months ago and said he would never do it again. The worst part about narcissists is that it's very hard to get them into therapy and stick with it- they like they way they act and think that they are powerful and strong.
As I said above, there are people and children who love and depend on AW and TFW. Bless them and keep them while thier spouse and parent chooses their mental imbalance over them.

Twitter bots?
I don't think TFW is at Blogher. I would think someone would have mentioned seeing her by now. Could be as localyokul said, that someone forgot to cancel the limo, or that tweeter could have been just trying to get a response from TFW.
Last year at this time she was in Chicago, for the Run RocknRoll mini-marathon. This year's race was run last Sunday. TFW did not run.
Last year TFW was at the CC booth at Blogher in NYC. This year, Blogher is in Chicago, and no mention of seeing TFW .
I guess the TFW won't be singing that Chicago is "My Kind of Town".
So, TFW claims 12 lbs? Closer to 3-4 lbs--a meager overstatement of 300%-400% (math is hard!).

I was just over at Amazon and they have a list of Best Books of the Year So Far, and under Cookbooks, Gwyneth Paltrow's is listed as number 1. I read one of the reviews, and some of it made me think that someone might write the same thing about TFW's book. Once excerpt says:

Part of the divorce process would have involved the house. Would it be a home or a TLC studio?
Much would have involved the children. Would they be on a TV show or not? Part would have had to do with custody. Would the children be able to film episodes on other continents?
You bet your sweet bippy TLC was front and center in the divorce and ensured that Kate had the best possible pro-TLC attorney available. By paying the attorney, they could call the shots according to their own needs.
The only thing I can think of that negates this is that the one paying is usually the client. They would have had to figure out a way around that, which should take less than 2 watts of brain power.

I'm beginning to think she really is psychotic. Which brings me to this topic...Amanda Bynes. How sad is that situation? I really think she is schizophrenic. Friends of the family lost their son to schizophrenia. He was diagnosed at 14 (YES..14!) and hanged himself at 19. I feel so so so so bad for her and her family. What a promising young star she was. When ever someone I know IRL gets upset about something on the interwebs, my recommendation is to turn off the computer/ tablet/ phone/ whatever gadget you use. Then get up, go outside, take the dog for a walk, visit a neighbor, watch the spiders or dragonflies or butterflies or bees, read a book, look at the moon, ride a bike, go for a swim, get an ice cream cone.... Do something, anything to get away from virtual reality and connect with real reality. I follow this advice myself, and try not to take anything too seriously.
I sincerely hope some of the twidiots can take a break for their own health.

Admin, I didn't even get that upset during my own custody issues with my son's father. Someone posted earlier in this thread about how a personality disorder can manifest itself first as fervent fandom for a celebrity. Then you begin to see the unraveling of that person's mental state. If it wasn't triggered by their initial obsession with a celebrity, it would have been triggered by something else- because it was there all along.
That's what I see in Goody and in Milo. Both of them have a psychological disorder. In Goody, it seems to have progressed further as she more often loses it and goes into a ranting, raving mode. Her mind is not balanced.
Milo will probably get there eventually too, if she doesn't get help along the way.

This is a very important point they don't seem to be getting. Since that article came out has Kate even so much as hinted she has a problem with Jon's custody? No. And Jon seems fairly pleased with how things are now given his work situation, he is at least grateful for what more he got and seems hopeful he will get even more with yet another day added in for Cara and Mady.
How do they even KNOW this isn't okay with Kate? For all we know she welcomes the break and the more flexible arrangement that is allowing time for both of them to be just with the twins or just with the tups. For all they know she's very happy too! She hasn't suggested he is lying or that she opposes the arrangement, so where the heck is this coming from?
They are going off on an absolute rampage not even knowing where she stands. That has to be one of the final stages of Celebrity Worship, convincing yourself you know how your idol feels about a given situation and know you need to defend them in line with a certain position. When the reality is you haven't the foggiest idea, you're basically just imposing your ideas into their head. Just when her fans couldn't get any worse, they never fail to disappoint.
I saw Barry Manilow in concert, too! It was in the late 70s-- I was just a kid, but I still remember the shirt he wore when singing Copacabana. Bright silver with ruffly sleeves. One of my sisters is named Amanda (Mandy), and the family used to sing the song "Mandy" to her. I love that song! She hated it.

If she came out and said "Guys and Gals, I'm glad my kids get to see their dad and it's a nice break for me as well. Our schedule works for us and I find it's much better to be flexible for the kids' sake." she couldn't be seen as the mom who has to raise 8 kids all by herself.
So, no, she hasn't suggested he's lying but she is fine encouraging her fans speculations because it casts her in her favorite role - victim. After all, it's not her fault she had 8 kids, it's society's because they encourage women to use fertility drugs and IUI. It's not her fault she got divorced - Jon was too immature and not ambitious enough and wanted to quit the show which was their only way of supporting their 8 kids and giving them everything they could ever want on a golden platter. It's not her fault that she can't get hired to do a regular reality television series - she has to take care of her 8 kids so her schedule isn't as flexible as it once was (thanks to Jon) and besides her 8 kids are getting too old and no one wants to film them until they are at least teenagers and can get into some various scandals like the Kardashians. For whatever reason, it certainly has contributed to the decline of Kate's Twitter, bringing out the worst of the fans there, with hatred and wild accusations -- insane rants from those with issues that go far beyond just a dislike of Jon and love of Kate.
They don't realize it, but their rampages have not only made Kate look like an incapable woman because they present her as needing support and defending, but it also makes her look bad because she refuses to do anything about it and put a stop to it. In doing what they think is necessary to defend her against what they claim are untrue statements by Jon, they are actually doing the opposite, which is making her come off as just sitting back and watching it happen. It also shows the mental state of some of her fans (she tweeted that she loves them and depends on their support) and exactly how far gone they are in Celebrity Worship. Not a good thing.
Not a very smart move on their part, but they just can't think beyond the present and realize that Kate, their idol, isn't going to come out smelling like a rose in all of this. Sometimes the best laid plans of mice and men doesn't always work out the way you want it to.
What they don't seem to understand is TFW could come out the hero here and a spokesperson for co-parenting. She could get gigs and appearances talking about how you co-parent despite a nasty divorce. She could write a book on helping kids through a divorce in a healthy way. Instead their gut reaction is to act viciously toward Jon getting shared custody instead of embracing another golden opportunity.

How about a blogging job about surviving divorce with kids. The daily trials and tribulations of co-parenting in a healthy way. Tips for getting along, tips for making things smooth. If she were any good at writing, this would be a hot topic many major blogs might be interested in.
Sheeple just mess up everything for her.
I know this is OT, but I just read a bit of the document filed by Amanda Bynes mother, applying for conservator. Conservator (correct me if I am wrong) is similar to guardianship, but less severe and generally with the person's consent? The person is not determined to be incompetent, correct?
Anyway, the mother states in her document to the court that Amanda is very concerned (the word 'paranoid' is used, but not by a psychiatrist, only the mother) about cameras watching her. She covers and tapes windows, windshields, smoke detectors, etc fearful that there are cameras. Apparently she has been doing this for some time. She is 'obsessed' with her looks and the looks of others. She has a list of plastic surgeries lined up for her face.

During our early 20's, our brains go through some neuro chemical changes. Sometimes it does not go well for some folks and that is why they say that our early 20s are the onset of some mental illnesses. Clearly Amanda's early years in front of cameras didn't process well in her brain chemistry as the brain made the adjustment into adult.
I am not saying any of the G kids will develop profound mental illness, for cryin' out loud. What I AM saying is that the fallout of what was done to them has yet to be determined and may not present itself for another 20 years. After all, those kids actually DID live with hidden cameras in their own home and bedrooms.
I am sure TFW's superior genes, hair bleach, and ear splitting cackling has protected the kids from any health problems. And dragging infants by their hair and "whipping them severely" was good for their character. And organic cheese. I'm sure that has curative powers too.

I don't think that I am seeing all of them. For example, Goody made a comment that I can see on her timeline, with @kateplusmy8, and it isn't showing up on Kate's timeline. There are only a few tweets a day showing. I really don't understand the appeal of twitter--just as well that I can't see all the drama. One blog is really all I can take|

That's odd. The link I posted is the one I have always used and I can see all the tweets.
Are you using some kind of hand held device or are you on a computer? I'm mystified why you can't see all the tweets. Could it be a browser problem? I don't see how. I use Chrome and/or Firefox. Very strange.
