I was well aware that the house would probably appraise in the $700-800,000, but if Kate wanted to start high, I would start low.
The wild card is that my realtor in Murrysville was on vacation and I wanted to wait until she got back so she could check with the local realtors through her nationwide office and get a referral fee if I did in fact buy the property.

That sounds about right. So if the assessment now is all but a half million, then in 2011 when the housing market was really low, the assessment could have been in the $200,000 range. Mickey, had Zillow given the house a market value then of $200,000, or an assessed value of that amount?

Yes but as I understand it for exclusive homes you can get way more wishy washy buyers who qualify than you want to deal with. Doing a pocket listing (thank you!) and leaking it to a few agents to tell their serious clients makes sure you get people in there who are SERIOUS about buying and not just looking around casually, even if they have money. My former employer has lots of money and sometimes looks at swanky lofts when they are traveling--just for fun. Personally I find this little entertainment a waste of good people's time and borderline dishonest, since they have no intention of ever buying, but it's what I think they're trying to avoid by only leaking it to agents.

I've never seen anything like it. It's horrendous. And I've seen my share of bad court web sites. It's useless, you can't find anything. They have a million search criterias. They should have one box for your case number, which pulls up all the filings on that number, the docket, the attorneys, the judge, the scheduled actions. Or if they want to open it up a bit more, you should be able to search by party name. That's it. This other crap is ridiculous. I gave up within minutes.

True. Been there, done that. I sold a property that required qualified buyers. I made it quite clear to the realtor that showing the place was not for the amusement of the other party. There were several times when persons admitted that they wanted to see the property just to get decorating or building ideas. My realtor was a good friend of mine and knew exactly how to screen such people. Thank goodness.

When I was selling my home ( I sold it for 2 million right before the housing crash) all kinds of people would go see it. Apparently one woman was measuring the rooms, and taking pictures of my dedicated theater. I found that very annoying!
BTW, it was recently put up for sale and it was listed for $680,000. This is in CA and its a little larger then Kate's house. Hard to believe that her house is worth about $900,000!

Very true in my experiences as a parent and an educator. Children with special needs often have more success making friends/being paired with younger students as their emotional/social development lags behind kids their own ages.

It's not only the house, but the land is included. If someone wants a property with acreage in that area, while it's not impossible to find, it may be a bit difficult to find a house with that square footage plus the land. It might not go for $900, 000 but close to it. A few years ago probably not so much, but things have turned around. I've looked at places with only a few acres, less square footage that having been listed at $700-$900 thousand.

You make an incredibly good point. We've heard a lot from the fans oh well any new mother is overwhelmed with a toddler and then times eight it's understandable. Personally I don't find that as any excuse to be cruel to and beat your child and that would certainly never fly if you were arrested for felony child abuse. Still, that excuse gets blown out of the water by this latest information. She was calculated with the spankings, thinking about them and obsessed with making sure they were all doled out even when she was not even there to be overwhelmed. She wanted them to happen, no buts about it. There was nothing spur of the moment about it in a moment of just being so overwhelmed. How can you say you're overwhelmed when you are being pampered on a trip?
I wonder how that fan Emily would feel if she were given that post-it note. There was some insinuation that she wanted to be their nanny although I doubt they ever worked it out. She seems like a gentle soul, I can't picture her being okay with being instructed to beat the children.
They went through a lot of nannies for the average family. It would not surprise me if there are some agencies they are kicked out from. I've seen that before. You can get blacklisted from an agency if your nannies come back with enough legitimate complaints. Things like not paying on time or the amount agreed is a common one, or being unusually nasty to the nanny, or concerns about how the children are treated. Get blacklisted enough and eventually you have to just turn to word of mouth or the local colleges for your nanny like the mediocre do.

Oh, yes, I've had that, too. I had a couple show up (pre-qualified) with a video camera and wanted to film the entire interior so if they bought it they could "leisurely" sit in their own living rooms and decide where to place their furniture in the new home. It didn't happen. The camera was left in their car and we, along with the listing agent, watched carefully that no measuring or pictures were taken.
Could it be that she's not posting the schedule because she's just a bit embarrassed? Fans are asking...are you coming to Arizona, Florida, Kentucky, New York, Maryland, Texas, Seattle and on and on. If the schedule stands as posted, maybe she just doesn't want to admit that this is NOT the all-city, all-state tour that would go on for months.

TFW does the least promoting for anything she does. She expects her employers, fans, media and pr people to do it all for her. She is piss poor at talking up anything but herself. I bet when it comes to talking a company into hiring her, she is very talkative about how good she is at gabbing, attracting customers, etc and her mouth really speeds up when she is telling them her list of expectations, perks, grifts, freebies etc.
I looked at the facebook and video links. Yes it is a robotized voice. With all the pictures in the kookbook and comments in the book and on twitter about cooking for her kids it should have been named "The Gosselin Family Cookbook" NOT "Kate Gosselin's cookbook". But we know she doesn't want to share any of the book proceeds with the kids. I bet they don't get a dime even though the kids pics are all over it.

The Complaint hasn't been answered yet, and no one has entered an appearance on behalf of any of the defendants. It doesn't even reflect that the pleadings have been served.
Isn't it odd that she doesn't care enough to promote her own schedule? That in itself should say something to her diehard fans. What other authors act so nonchalant when they are promoting new cookbooks (especially one with dismal sales)? It tells me, she'll be there only if Steve is available during a particular book signing. It isn't about the fans or the number of sales, but if Steve will be available to attend the event, then she'll attend. And any fans who may attend would be better off donating any Gosselin gifts to the local shelters, since Steve throws most of these gifts in dumpsters after each event anyway.
So what is her current book signing schedule? Not fluff tv shows, plain old bookstore book signings?
I think this cookbook of hers demonstrates another peculiarity of narcissists. If they are praised or complimented for something they've done, like prepared a nice meal, right away it goes to their head.

I've been looking at Kate's twitter and reading some of the timelines of the fans who are excited to see her in their cities. A fan in Edmonton wants to meet her. This fan regularly tweets other celebrities, telling them about her day, asking for decorating advice, apparently thinks she is friends with Jen Arnold and Amy Roloff. It's actually kind of sad -- she seems like a poor soul.
What happens when a person such as this shows up at a signing, believing she is Kate's friend, Kate says thanks and just signs the book? Does that fan feel neglected, let down, or worst case scenario, very angry that she has been ignored?
It's a delicate balance you have to strike here. Too much attention to a fan gives them a false sense of being a best friend; too little and you risk an anger issue, or feelings of dejection. You just never know with a fan such as this...what goes through his/her mind and what the result will be.
Wonder how many people will attend the book events? I can't imagine enough to make it worthwhile at any of the venues. Maybe some people will come out of curiosity and others who are interested in cooking but never heard of TFW?

Put me on the list of those that are horrified by the coldblooded beatings that the kids got. I've posted this before, I think: A spanking is administered by using a flat hand on the most well-cushioned part of the human body. The spanker and the spankee both feel the sting. Using an object to strike a child anywhere on the body is not a spanking--it is a beating. And, yes, the kids were unusually subdued when she came home.

Now. PA has no minimum age. A judge will listen to any child, but there has to be a valid reason. Just saying that Daddy buys better toys or has a big screen television isn't going to cut it. Obviously the older and more mature they are the better their chances at choosing where to live. There is no legal age requirement.

People spent their hard earned money to buy gifts for her children and she never gave them to them? She let someone else open their mail and just discard it?
Is that even legal? If the mail was addressed to the kids personally, isn't that THEIR property? I'm asking seriously, I don't know. If they're minors do parents have authority to tamper with their kids' mail?
Even if she didn't want the kids keeping these things (socks, cars etc...), which I could see if there were a lot of stuff like that...what a huge opportunity for teaching the kids to pay it forward.
Sit the kids down, open the mail, read the letters and then explain that because they have everything they need, the things fans send will be donated to local charities. And for the love of God, why not let the kids keep the letters written to THEM?!
What am I saying? This is the same woman who took her kids' Sunday School art and, grinning like the Cheshire cat, tossed it all into a bin without even looking at it.
She really is just about her, isn't she? Those kids are nothing more than props in her grotesque quest for fame and fortune.
My heart aches even more now for those kids, I didn't even think that was possible.

In August 2011 Zillow had the Zestimate for Kate's house at $219,000. Key word: estimate.
I use Zillow only as a guide -- to get general info re the property such as the sales history or if it has been listed for sale recently and if so at what price, recent sales in the general area, photos, etc.
Zillow is flawed and I know for sure because ~
In 2007, just before the housing market crashed, I sold a 2,400 sq ft 4 bed home with a 6 stall barn on 5 acres for $1.1 million. No pool, just your custom home ranchette set up for people who have some livestock.
Now if you want to compare CA and PA prices -- or perhaps I should say apples and oranges -- the 5,000(?) sq ft 6 bed McMansion on 23 acres was purchased for $1.1 million in 2008. Trust me when I say that my old home and the McMansion are polar opposites in so many ways but then it always comes down to location, location, location ;)
Now back to Zillow ... so my ranchette, which met the needs of my lifestyle, was located on a private lane that had 4 custom homes all on 5 acres with my home being the "smallest" square footage wise. Across the street was a 4 bed 3,500 sq ft home with an azelea trimmed (200+ plants because I saw them being planted) long driveway that circled around a fountain, 400+ trees for privacy, a good size pool with a $50,000 rock waterfall, orchid greenhouse, tennis/basketball court setup, apt over garage, with the front surrounded by a wrought iron gate and fencing. In other words this property was "park like" and it took hours to keep it looking serene (husband and wife had his and her lawn mowers and it took all day once a week just to mow it). Even I would have to say that there was a $200,000+ price difference between our two 5 acre properties.
In 2006 my home was listed at $1.25M and their home at $1.45M but it was my home that went into escrow but unfortunately my buyer could not get financing. Then 9 months later I sold it for $1.1. My neighbor did go down in price to $1.25 in 2007 but it did not sell.
IIRC 9 months later in 2008 -- after the crash -- per Zillow the Zestimate for my neighbor's home was at $900,000(?) but due to the sale of my home, my property with no "bells and whistles" like across the street, the Zestimate for my old home was at $1M. In 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 Zillow continued to keep my old home value a lot more than the house across the street, and my neighbor continued to list her house for sale during this 5 year period with the asking price always going down.
In 2009 I heard my buyers (who put down over $250,000 to qualify to buy it) walked away from it because they were upside down due to the current market (NOT based on what Zillow was quoting). I talked to a broker in 2009 who told me there were over 9,000 foreclosed homes in his county but if the banks were to list them for sale it would flood the market and everyone would be in a "deeper hole".
In the spring of 2012 my old home sold for $340,000 and a few months later my neighbor's home finally sold for $715,000.
TODAY the Zestimate for my old home is $1.14M and the Zestimate for my neighbor's home is $653,000. Why is it listed at $62,000 less than what it just sold at just a few months ago???
This is why I use Zillow for just general information.

What does going "back to print" really mean? Me thinks HCI shorted the first printing due to lack of interest.
Or, is the book selling as well as the cruise? That was the same hype and bs.
Remember when CWS was over and Deanna and kate hugged and Kendra and Hank hugged? Deanna told kate, I have so much to tell you!!!! Is Deanna not kates BFF anymore? Is she still there or laying low hoping to be free of the B? How can Deanna sleep at night IF she told kate who hit who and who was a problem. That explains why the kids were walking on egg shells when she came back.
Kendra got some respect from me because she felt so bad for those kids and it upset her so bad she cried. If I were Kendra I would of blasted her for the way she makes those kids work and tell her to HIRE MEN to do it. Would love to see kate spin and hit the floor screaming and melting down on that one.
When they reunited, I thought, you freaking tattletale! Did she tell who hit who and who she had to beat when she got back to PA? When kate came in and started on the list of kids to beat, I pray she didn't, but if she did, I wish the one of the twins would record the audio or video in secret the beatings. She could send it to Jon. When is that Piece of Work going to be held accountable for the years of abuse that she has doled out to those precious babies and is still doing it and when she did Jon that way!
Remember the video of the kids screaming not wanting to go back to their mother in the van? They knew if they talked about what they did over at their dads and the great time they had they would get a beating. That video ripped me up. Poor Jon kept hugging them and what got me even more, Mady and Cara came and hugged Jon and they looked so tired and drained.
Also, I noticed the darkness outside in the picture of Katie C., and the kids. They were taken out of school for this and it gave them all day to go to McD's and the Zone. I wonder if it was taken EARLY before SUNRISE, because when the networks do interviews they do it as early as possible. Like the Duggars for instance.

Mickey, thanks for info on zillow. We discovered glaring mistake when we were checking out house for sale next to ours in nags Head. The prior sales info was for our house next door! Somehow selling info on our house got on zillow for correct address and address next door.

Interesting on Kate's "silent" listing. I'm not surprised that she thinks HER house is so in demand that she can charge way more than the house is worth. However, she's in for a rude awakening. If the buyer hopes to buy Kate's house, they better do it with cash. The bank is not going to finance a mortgage to a place that appraises for far less than the asking price.
I wonder where she would move to if her house ever sold? I can't imagine her actually downsizing!

I recently moved to the eTown area (husband's job relocated), and I know there are a lot of locals on here. We're having a hard time finding a contemporary non-denominational-ish church. I was hoping the locals might have some suggestions for us? So far we've been to LCBC Manheim, Mount Calvary, CrossroadsBIC, eTownBIC, and Community Bible. They were all wonderful churches, but not the right fit for us. LCBC was the closest to what we're used to, but with 4k members, it was easy to get lost in the crowd. Do any locals have any suggestions?
As a side note, I can see how easy it was for someone like Kate to take advantage of people in this area. Everyone has been ridiculously nice and friendly to us! It's amazing how trusting people are here! And shame on her for abusing it!

How many thousands were supposedly run for the first printing? I know that it was printed somewhere and that we discussed it here. U less that was a complete fabrication (which we all thought at the time). I think that this may be a case of print when orders come in and i think that TFW is trying to save face. Maybe she's decided to order more copies to store in the basement.

It is just tragic, what happened in DC today. Another mass shooting, and at a Navy Yard, filled with brave, remarkable people. My thoughts are prayers to the families.
My guess is Kate won't mention the tragedy. She seemed deeply touched by Sandy Hook and commented on it several times, but that may be be because that involved children and she has 8 count em 8, of them!
I honestly hope she does say something, and that this is recognized as yet another event in a ghastly pattern of violence.
It does bother me a bit how people don't seem to care as much about tragedies that involve adults as opposed to children. The Sandy Hook shooting was an unthinkable tragedy, but this is too, and the families affected by today's catastrophe will not be any less devastated than the Newtown families were last year.
Someone, please make this senseless violence stop. It always saddens me to read such horror on the news.

I went to Barnes & Noble today in search of a book on the Civil War. I thought -- what the heck, I'll look for the cookbook. It was not on the front table of new releases, although Gwyneth's book was. I went to the cookbook section. There it was, about nine copies on the bottom shelf. I really had to hunt for it.
It surprised me. It really did. If you want a picture book of Kate and the kids, you'll be in Seventh Heaven. The photos were much nicer than what I had expected...I mean some really excellent pictures in there. They did a decent job. It's not a thick book by any means, but it does have a little bit of weight to it. I looked at the recipes...this is what was so lame. Jamie's broccoli. Head of broccoli, melted butter, garlic salt and water. Duh. Not much creativity there. Kate's tips in the kitchen: make sure your kitchen is well-stocked, check your freezer goods; don't waste, keep cabinets clean; counters should be free of clutter. Duh again. I supposed if you're a sheeple fan who doesn't know how to unfreeze cookies, they need such organization advice. For anyone else, not so much. You don't buy it for the recipes or her tips.
Admin -- we talked about the cover. That lack of cropping at the bottom is much more glaring in person. I mean, you just want to hack the bottom off it. If it were my book, I never would have given approval to that cover, especially with the rabbit ears.
I can imagine Milo and some of the fans buying multiple copies, ripping the photos out of it and framing them. Nice pictures, good for ogling. Bottom line -- it's basically a picture book passed off as a cookbook. It looks like a considerable amount of work went into it, and it's really not totally amateurish done. Not excellent, but not falling into the category of it being a humiliating endeavor.

We're not from PA (although we have family here), and I was wondering where to go to get farm fresh food. Giant says they have local produce, and although it's close, it's still not the same as getting it right from the farm!
For church, I'd say 20 minutes from eTown is our max. So Harrisburg, Hershey, Manheim, Marietta, Lititz are all fine. Lancaster is probably a little too far.
Once again, how is TFMJG's reputation and career been hurt if she sends out a message saying her book is going for a second printing?? Not that anyone believes it but she just made it that much harder to prove her case. SMH.....

So people that bought the book either online through B&N and/or went to store to buy had the book last week but TFW got her copy today? I don't get it. I hope we don't see strategically placed copies of the book in the KC interview since that was done last week. TFW seems to be in a manic phase right now and I somehow don't believe that the book is flying off the shelves. I stopped at a small B&N and they didnt have any copies of the book but would be glad to order it for me.

What? The book has been in the store for several days. If I had written a book and was so excited that I couldn't breathe, I would have been there when the truck was unloading those books at the store. I find it very hard to believe that she didn't stop at the local B&N store to take a look as soon as they arrived.
I guess in Kate's world getting ready for the "book tour" means lots of shopping for her. She can't afford a daytime babysitter for an hour a day after school so she can hold a job, but she can pay one or more to work the dinner hour and overnights? She can't be selling that many books. Plus she's got to pay for Steve and herself for travel, food, limo's, hotel room (singular). Just more of the kids money going down the hole.
Doing a little math, Barnes & Noble has 675 stores. If each store was allocated 10 crookbooks that would equal 6,750 copies. Amazon is going to order enough to fulfill preorders plus a little more as well. I can see where the book has probably printed and shipped 10,000 copies.
The key is going to be actual sales though. Of those that B&N got for retail sale they will have the right to send back any unsold copies for a refund. I seriously doubt more than 3,000 books will sell and we will see the rest at Big Lots and Dollar General with the black marker across the spine of the book indicating it was salvaged just like her last one.
I almost feel sorry for HCI if they did indeed fund the printing and distribution of this book. They are going to take a huge loss. The only saving grace is that Kate won't get full royalties for the salvaged books. I think she will get about $3 per copy actually sold at retail. Her SWAK "windfall" will likely amount to less than $10,000.

Fortunately, with respect to book sales, we have numbers--not Kate--to tell the story. For example, her rank on Amazon for most of the day was nearly 18,000. One book was ordered there about an hour ago, and it took her rank to 12,000-something. All told, on Amazon, she has yet to break 600 copies. After 26 weeks of pre-sales. "Pathetic" doesn't really cover that huge a disaster.
With respect to BN, yesterday her rank was around 52,000; today it's about 48,000. That likely means 4 or 5 books sold. Either way, this is empirical evidence which, unlike Kate, doesn't lie.

I don't mind someone saying well the book sales aren't what we hoped but we have lots of ideas to get the word out and we're confident we'll turn it around. But to be just delusional about it is sad.

Your analysis is pretty much spot on. But in reality, far fewer than 10 are going to each BN store (I have a source). It looks like the average is more like 5, with maybe as many as 10 going to the really big stores. And no one is giving it any prominent display space. My guess is for the two signings thus far scheduled for BN stores, HCI will ship in a special consignment that BN can ship back out when the remainder doesn't sell.
I think BN got burned big time by IJWYTK, stuck with LOTS of copies they couldn't sell and had to write off (who needs credit from Zondervan?). They're not making the same mistake twice.

Not saying your source is incorrect, but our B&N is a small store and there were nine copies there. Could be they got an even 10 and sold one. Unless a customer is looking specifically for that book, they're not going to see it because it's not prominently displayed. It's on the bottom shelf.
PW has three (3) cookbooks currently available on Amazon. Both the 2010 and 2012 books have each sold about 500 books this month. I would call that staying power.

Probably so, but if they want to sell books wouldn't you think that with a new release you wouldn't have to search all over the place to find it, only to have it buried on the bottom shelf?
Out of stock in bookstore speak in this case is "we didn't get any copies because based on past performance we didn't think they'd sell". The individual stores do have some latitude with the stock they get in. Once burned twice shy.
Also, Kate isn't the media darling she once was. Most authors are not put up in 5 star hotels they're in the local Hyatt (not bad but not 5 star). When TLC was footing the bill she got first class all the way. The only way she'll get that now is if she's footing the bill. Most signings are wham, bam, thank you mam and on to the next city.

Don't forget this book has been in pre-sales on BN for SIX months. Going by what others have said, if BN is selling about 40% of what we see being sold on Amazon, that means maybe 250 books for BN in 6 months. I think that based on this trend, and past history, and her being a "former" everything, BN stores are probably not inclined to bring in too many. Look, with an alleged print run of 50,000 (LMAO!), they can always order more.

The thing is, someday, sooner than later, the kids are going to understand that it's a little more complicated than oh Mommy wrote a book about us how FUN. TFW won't even know what hit her.
They'll understand the complexities of how used they really were. They will start contemplating the idea of getting paid for all that, and ask where the money went. They will start reading stories about other child stars used and abused by their parents and compare their situation. They will start to ask themselves who is really in this for their best interest (Dad? Aunt Jodi? Ashley?) and who is not. Critical thinking will be TFW's downfall.
They are just not QUITE there yet, but they will be. The twins, I think, are getting there.

It IS abnormal and healthy. It is blindingly clear to me that they live in an abusive/toxic household. No way do they ALL praise their mother that much unless they are trying to avoid her wrath. How do you know Jodi didn't say so? Child abuse reports are confidential, and the vast majority are evaluated out. Only the most heinous of cases are filed on. For all we know Kate WAS filed on, who is to say? It's all strictly confidential. It's entirely possible social workers have at least been involved on a voluntary level (no actual court cases but social worker involvement to help stabilize the family). We have heard multiple reports that CPS has been called several times, including by Robert, and multiple reports that social workers were involved at least when it came to her sending the same food back again and again for lunches. A case like that would NEVER be filed on. NEVER. A social worker would simply come to the house, have a little chat with you about why it's not acceptable to send the same thing over and over, and that would be that unless they got another complaint later.
Sadly, if they filed on a parent for every time they whipped out a wooden spoon, tax payers would never be able to support such a bloated system. I can't pass judgment on anyone involved in this not knowing what they did to try to protect these children. In fact Jodi is the most likely of all of them to have tried to do something since she was brave enough to testify. I have a feeling going to Rep. Murt and testifying was a method of LAST resort, not first.
America has decided this is a country that only intervenes in the very worst of child abuse cases and that everything should be kept very hush hush shhh don't you dare disclose abuse is going on here it's CONFIDENTIAL. If we are not okay with that, then it's time to write your legislature.

I agree. It's just not normal for a nine year old to care about their parents like this. At this age it's all about them and their friends and interests. It would be unusual, although great, for a child to even ask hey mom what did you do today? Although it's a sweet thing to ask, I would wonder if a kid constantly asking such things should be refocused on something like sports or a project or music. I would worry maybe they are having anxiety about their mom or something.
It's just not how they think. They just aren't old enough yet to understand yet their parents are their own people with their own lives apart from them. Mom is just MOM to them. Everything else just interferes with her being Mom.
I have spent enough time with children of celebrities to know they don't give two sh&ts what their parents are up to. It is not a novelty to them since they were born into it. It just IS. No different than mom being a teacher or doctor or grocery store clerk. They are normal kids like any kid who want to know if mom will be back from WHEREVER in time to make their game and if Dad's flight from WHEREVER working on some WHATEVER will be back in time so he can help them with math homework. That's pretty much it. They are not FANS, they are CHILDREN.

Normally I don't think you should have to coddle your fans with constant birthday wishes but Emily is different. Emily has met them, spent time with them, and Kate has gushed about how much they love her and even said she should come over this summer. Emily thinks she is a family member and Kate ENCOURAGES it. To not even give her a simple happy birthday is just nasty. I hope Emily wakes up. She seems like a lovely girl with a bright future and with her family's money has advantages most people can only dream of. She should be focused on college and all the excitement of her first year. TFW is dead weight from her childhood that is not doing anything for her future.
Yelp is able to sort of "sniff out" bogus reviews, either they do this manually or they may even have some kind of program for this. The foster dog place I volunteer with had been pushing and pushing to "please review us on yelp". This might seem like a good idea for promotion, but it backfired on them because people like me left tons of glowing reviews and yelp thought they sounded canned, and posted a warning they had flagged it! Lesson learned: Let reviews on yelp and whatnot happen naturally. Don't force feed it or they'll KNOW.
I assume Amazon and Barnes as big as they are can handle any kind of obvious war. You can also report reviews. In the Amazon Breakthrough novel contest someone was going around leaving dozens upon dozens of one star reviews that were clearly just trolling to get a rise out of unexperienced authors not used to bad reviews. It was literally a drive by review. People reported them and eventually they got taken down. I've only seen a few reviews but from what I saw they seemed completely legitimate to me.
Can you imagine if, in order to keep your mother calm and happy, you have to just happily go along with whatever assassin interruption she wants? You'd rather just be vegged out on the couch watching T.V. or playing on your iphone or computer or hanging out in the basement or whatever, but you feel obligated to curl up with some books of Mom's you care next to nothing about and smile for the camera. I worry life for them is full of these little moments of appeasement and pacifications. What a sad life.

I could not care less what a nine year old asked for or didn't ask for. She's nine. She cannot possibly understand the implications of plastered her photograph everywhere. Her brain is simply not capable of fully comprehending that, nor is she anywhere near old enough to make such an important decision. A nine year old does not get to decide something that could potentially affect them the rest of their lives.
While I would EXPECT you would ask a nine year old before plastering their photograph everywhere, it's still up to you as the parent to protect her and step in and make wise choices about her photographs, even if she's okay with it. This responsibility is even more crucial when that child is already very recognizable. This is different than some random post on facebook from a private person.
Take the picture and put it in your personal or family photo album.

With regard to the picture of one of the tup girls heaping praise on TFW's 4 books: The psychological term for what this sicko,TFW, is doing to her children is called PARENTIFICATION -- when the child has to take care of the needs of the parent instead of the other way around. TFMJG should be heaping praise on the kids and not the kids heaping praise on her. This abnormal pattern is so consistent and unrelenting in that household, the kids' brains are NOT going to recover. TFW is making emotional vegetables out of them.

Some of you called bullshit on this, but I believe that the kids actually do ask her to take their pictures, etc., just to get her attention. I believe they do whatever makes her happy and remember, they have grown up in the spotlight and I'm sure some of them love the attention just as much as TFW.
