Please! She is letting on they had a full TG dinner, when didn't everyone say it's Jon's turn for this holiday? Who would post that?? We all get compliments from our kids.
Honestly, Mady is very bright and has figured out (at her age) how to navigate and please Kate, at the same time, in a sarcastic tone, which she knows her mother will accept, as Kate is all about Kate. This kid has had Kate's number years ago and how to navigiate her.

This tweet is from last year, on Thanksgiving. She also tweeted a pic of the table setting. Since even Kate herself has never disputed that they have every other holiday, even/odd years, I don't know why she's trying to imply she's got the kids for two Thanksgivings in a row.
It's really sad she can't admit that the kids are with Jon. Jon is man enough to admit when they are with Kate. Her carefully worded tweet from earlier the other day about how she's having Thanksgiving with family and friends, does not specifically say the kids are there. She's always so careful about that.
There is nothing wrong with not having your kids on Thanksgiving in a divorce situation. Hundreds of thousands of families are facing the same thing every year. Everyone understands that's how custody works. If anything she could have made some money off this situation by offering some tips and tricks for how to deal with lonely holidays when the kids are with the other parent.

Yep, as a narcissist, she truly believes all of the recipes she has posted are some miraculous invention no one has EVER seen and her own invention. Her recipes are imitation(WITH A FEW CHANGES ). In the meanwhile, the kids can not get milk as it is too expensive.
Really, if you are using 8 kids to film to provide YOUR paycheck, buy the milk!!! Least you can do, let alone let them grow as individuals and participate in sports, clubs, etc, as even "poor families" do. Me being one of them in my former years, and there were 6, count 'em six kids. She is selfishly impossible at the point.

Yesterday was just DH and I, but that doesn't dampen the cooking spirit in this home. The turkey turned out great (12lb. fresh Butterball) and my crock pot cheesecake was really good. So easy! A keeper, for sure.
Today, I'm making comfort-old-school Turkey ala King with some of the leftovers. With more that a slash of Sherry ;0
DH stripped the turkey last night and put the carcass into the crock pot to make stock. What a guy!
Woke up this morning to rich turkey flavors wafting through the house.
We hit up Kohl's for Black Friday (ps... any uttering about sales from "coupon" Kate?????) and we got DH 2 pairs of no-iron kakhis and a sweater for $31!!

Yes, sadly so. What is also sad is people who saw this from the beginning were ignored. This site wasn't alone in "accusing" her of child abuse. Accuse doesn't sound right to me, it leaves a sense of doubt. People SAW abuse and reported it. I hope that anonymous poster believes it now.
I just happened to mention the episode of kate when they took the chartered boat out so kate could catch a fish. My point to my mother was going to be that I could not understand why kate wanted to go out 25 miles from shore instead of going only maybe 3 miles or 5. Then I remember the captain saying to get to the fish you have to go out 20, 25 miles out. He was just charging up the bill. Money. And those kids had no life jackets.

The boat company got their monies up front.
It all depends upon the Continental Shelf. In the Carolinas, it extends about 40 miles out! So, to go "deep sea", you are going way, WAY out.

Birds can be really difficult pets. I had a co-worker with a budgie I think. She cooked homemade food fot every week and froze it in ice cube trays to use later. She spent so much time taking care of that bird. I don't know much about Zorro's breed but I understand many birds live for decades, up to 60 or 80 yrs old. It's not like a dog or cat that live 13-14 yrs. If anyone who is immune suppressed spends time in your house with the bird, they can actually catch bird diseases. (That one is probably irrelevant since no one visits.) Will the bird just poop everywhere if it's out of its cage? How will she punish it? I just don't know if you can train a bird like that. She's so immature thinking she has a fun new toy.
I don't understand. I don't like animals so I don't buy any. Kate doesn't like animals so she buys more and more. ???

I just can't understand why they went so far out into the sea because if something happened look how long a helicopter or the Coast Guard could take to get there. I meant to say my mother would take a riverboat cruise because she thinks that they could get to the boat pretty quick to rescue. If she knew the equipment and 1 or 2 boats on the huge lake where she lives, she wouldn't get on it.
Those kids should of had on life jackets and sea sickness me. kate didn't care if they got sick or not. Just FILM STEAM AHEAD!

Some lawyers made money.
The legal system was abused.
TFW got some outstanding media coverage (not).
Rwa shut down (a fact, not a judgment).
BV outed a bunch of people (for what?)
A number of people were probably pretty stressed out.

I guess it depends where you shop. I went to the mall today, and yes it was crowded. I made quite a few purchases (got some really good deals), and didn't have to wait in any lines. Not one. I was pleasantly surprised!
I also went to Target. The store had quite a few shoppers, but they had all of the checkouts open, and while I was walking to one of the lines, a clerk said to me, "I can take you here." Went right up. That almost never happens. Maybe I just got there are the right time.

As for the rest, some of them have been tweeting mindless stuff to each other. As for the dismissed lawsuit...mum's the word. Apparently, in their pea-brains, it never happened to begin with.
How do any of you know what those kids think? You don't think Kate tells them he's a loser and or worse. She told me that when she was on the couch and I don't even freaking know her.
And don't underestimate the intelligence of those kids. I was very young and I knew my mom was abusive and very intelligent and that my dad was very nice and not to bright. They live with her and they are 9 and 13. I was 13 and in high school.
I'm not saying that I know everything that goes on in that home but unfortunately I know enough because Kate told me so. If I know that she's not to bright you don't think those 13 year olds haven't figured it out.
BTW, I would never call Kate any names in front of them.
TFW wont speak about the dismissal unless she gets paid for it via tv or radio show. Even then it will be some bs about how it was best for the kids and the 6 sheeple will applaud her for it.
As for the bird. It's not going to end well. Kids love animals they can cuddle and play with. TFW wont give enough time to this poor bird...it's going to be forgotten. Unlike shoka,it cant go and find its own food when desperation sets in or even entertain itself.
I don't think having birds as pets is a dead end conversation. ( like politics) If anything, it just might be an enlightening conversation.

Yes, the potential problems seem endless. My aunt has CP and got a bird years ago for company, and it just sat there depressed in the cage for days on end, not a peep out of it. The pet store suggested she get another bird as a friend so next thing she knows she's got TWO birds to take care of. The birds were much better together and she didn't want to let the first one go. Point is, one bird turned into two just like that and she sort of didn't have much choice about it. She's one of those that believes once you commit to a pet no matter what its needs are that's your pet to meet its needs. This is a good thing, but the birds were a hassle.
As far as I can tell all the lawsuit and bullying shenanigans did was hurt people and as you said probably made some people richer. When you do something to which the primary result is just to hurt people and make some people richer, you might want to rethink it. And for what, now that she's withdrawn the whole thing? I've said this before, but I truly think a sincere apology would go a long way here. So she made a mistake. She got swept up in someone's promises to once and for all get back at the person who took her kids off T.V. and disrupted her gravy train. Him and everybody else who ever dared contradict her. She should apologize and make a sincere effort to heal and move on from this "wrong" against her from years and years ago.
How many went to Costco today? I got the free cookbook they distribute every year. It's a nice cookbook. Great recipes, ingredients and instructions are very specific; and the colorful pictures actually match the recipe! :)

I knew she does this. She LOVES to imply she has the kids 99% of the time. She's been caught several times in these little implied lies. I bet Jon has the kids for the whole Thanksgiving, Thursday to Sunday, if they're doing every other holiday as per the every-other holiday order no one has ever disputed including Kate herself.

Forcing birds to live in cages is very different than politics. To have your own opinions about politics is a never ending issue. But to argue about a bird who is wild and free..or told birds who are forced to sit in a cage all day just to please you is very different,is very different.
It's about animal abuse. If you rescued a bird due to injury or being held captive from birth is so different from being snatched out of the wild. (being a healthy a bird)

I'm guessing either Jon or Liz have relatives there. I hope they spent a nice long Thanksgiving there around lots of good people and the kids had a nice normal holiday. Kate just lost all credibility if she had any. I will always look at her tweets about having the kids with suspicion now, since she was caught in such a blatant lie. Once again, she did this to herself.

YES: I do think the Gosselin kids are smart.
YES: I do think that they know what kind of parents they have.
YES: I do think that the twins know that Kate is hated.

So to sum it up we are all different people with different lives but hopefully we all have one thing in common and that is we care about the Gosselin children. And if they ever discover this blog I think they will see that.
Another very common reason for lying is evident in the narcissist’s need to gain attention. It is not unusual for them to make up stories about themselves in an effort to make others view them as more interesting. Narcissists may also tell lies in order to make people feel sorry for them in an effort to seek attention as a victim. They have been known to tell people they have cancer or some other disease when, in fact, they don’t.
What types of lies do they tell? The following examples of “conscious” lies are what a narcissistic 16 year old might say to her parents when they left her home “alone” for a night:
1.Lies of omission: telling the truth but not the whole truth in a way designed to mislead (“While you were gone I watched a DVD”–not mentioning the five people who were also over and who drank beer).
2.Not speaking up when asked a direct question: (Silence when asked, “What did you do when we were gone?”)
3.Making up facts that are not true: (“I did my homework while you were gone”).
4.Embellishing the truth is a way that misleads: (“I took care of the cat”–meaning she petted it a few times but forgot to feed him on time or change the litter box).
5.Insisting that a truth is a falsehood: (“I did not have friends over!”).
6.“Gaslighting”: an attempt to erode another’s reality by denying their experience (“No, the house looks exactly like it did when you left. Is there something wrong with your vision?”).
7.Acknowledging the truth but assigning motives that were never there to make yourself look better: (“Yes, I had people here but only because I was so lonely without you that I was getting very depressed and started crying”).
8.Keeping secrets for the wrong reasons: (One of the friends stole the mother’s expensive earrings).
1.When a narcissist says that everyone loves and respects her when it’s obvious to others it’s not true, that’s an unconscious lie.
2.They project their own feelings onto others. For instance, their “You hate me,” means “I hate myself” (or “I hate you”). These tend to be more “untruths” rather than overt lies.

She's said so many heinous things about the kids and Jon I almost can't remember them all but I do remember that now that you say so. My how the tables have turned, guess all the kids went with JON this time despite Kate tweeting pretending they are with her.

The Alexis tweet was so silly, to imply the kids were with her, also not so cute for a 9 year old, and the way Kate chows down on her 'famous' salad, she can barely judge manners. I think she likes to give the impression of impeccable manners, perfectly 'trained up' children and a wonderful life. None are true.

They'll either learn to be just like her OR they'll be super bull#hit sniffers, as in they will call out liars and bull#hitters. They will grow up to HATE lies and never have them in their lives OR they will continue the the pattern they've witnessed. Between 7 of us in my family, one is really REALLY a flaming narcissist, almost worse than my mother. The rest of us, we all have varying degrees of it. One keeps going from one relationship to another, one can't keep a job...I can blow my cool (as I've shown here when something gets me riled up) but I make a conscience decision to breathe, and calm down. Anger is the trait I inherited from good old mom. But I VOWED to not be like her, so I ALWAYS step back and force myself to cool down, and I OWN it. NEVER do I blame it on someone else, something else, my husband the universe, and most importantly NOT my kids. I KNOW what that feels like. Being held responsible for your mother's every mood, be it happy, in between or full blown rage is a huge burden.
I think the tweet from Alexis was flat out made up out of thin air. Not just something that Alexis said earlier that Kate waited to tweet to imply/lie about the kids being with her.

I wish a judge would ask the kids which parent they want to live with. Maybe that's a possibility and that's why all the bribery. I do believe the kids, most of them anyway, probably have a sense of entitlement so I suppose as long as Kate gives them material things, they will choose her for the Xmas holiday. She hasn't ever been "Give Back Kate" since the show ended. It would be nice for Jon to involve the older girls in some sort of charity for Xmas.

I have been re-reading Robert's book. Remember the episode where the family went to St. Jude's? When Kate wasn't handing ill 6 yr. olds copies of her book and telling four yr. olds how she was way sicker than them while laying on 46 weeks of bedrest ;) she was also shilling for the book and movie "Desperaux." I remembered the "Desperaux" product placement, but what I missed the first time around when reading the book is that Kate was paid $10,000 directly from the movie studio which produced "Desperaux." Robert said at that point in their contract, they were getting the $22,500 per episode. They went to Kmart (who was already paying Kate a huge amount of money for very little work) and shopped for toys which Kmart donated, of course. And the point of the episode was to show how the Gosselins give back. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Been reading here a lot the last few days and SMH constantly with every new post that WOS puts out there. OMG, she is really losing it. Those poor kids. Glad to see the G kids are doing normal kid things with Jon because Kate would never bowl, what with her French nails. Peeshaw!
However, this tweet bothers me because I don't think it's at all healthy for strangers to go gaga and lose their minds over meeting or sighting the kids.
I know this is what it is because J+K put them on tv for years and their lives have been shared with the world. But, I hope they don't grow up thinking their poop doesn't stink, but I'm afraid the toothpaste is already out of the tube.
I don't get idol/celeb worship, would never stand in line for hours to get a book signed, or lose my mind if I saw Brad Pitt, so it creeps me out that total strangers approach celebs like they know them in real life, and feel entitled to interrupt their day, ask for photos etc.
I think for a kids, it's got to be confusing and scary, or lead to a sense of superiority. They already expect to have servants....
Even if she got that bird to deflect the kids attention from spending the holiday with their father, how far do you think that really went with the mind set of kids? They're with their dad, cooking turkey dinner, in a cozy set up with stuff everywhere, no one yelling at them. Bird, what bird? Next day, leftovers, bowling, who knows what else. Bird, what bird? If she's cooking up a storm for T-day Round 2, fine, but admit to it. We are cooking up said storm ourselves, roasting a turkey today, since we did not host, need leftovers and soup. Plus we have kids passing trough here this weekend on their way home from other travels. Did we pretend they were at our table on Thursday? Nope. Her whole tweety world knows about shared holidays, so the pretension and the pretending is just silly and juvenile. Again, pretty sure those kids were not pining away for the 1K bird this weekend.

That's part of being a celebrity. Since their parents chose to make them celebs, this is a lasting consequence they will probably have to deal with for many years to come and possibly even the rest of their lives. At least Jon seems to understand what he's done to them. Kate remains clueless.
We all bring something from our past to this blog I think. There are those who share their idealic childhoods, and others who experienced difficult ones. My personal experience was the latter.
I grew up in a very dysfunctional environment and I knew it from a very young age. I took on a parental role early, desperate to bring order to chaos, and yes, I knew my parents were not "typical" of other families I was exposed to as a child. We lived in an upscale neighbourhood, had a beautiful home, and my parents had a country club social life, so for all intents and circumstances we appeared to have it all.
The Gosselin kids know their lives are not typical, they have been exposed to things their friends will never experience. They know their mother hates their father and I am sure they tread lightly when they return from having time with him. They know their mother seeks out opportunities to get them famous again and that she will not rest until she achieves their old glory.
Myself and my siblings were in a constant state of survival mode with our parents and we each had our own way of coping. I left home at 17 to escape the dysfunction and as a result I have always been fiercely independent.
When "tomatoes" says these kids know who their parents are, I agree they do. Along with that knowledge comes a great deal of navigation, especially around their mother. They have each other to help work out how to best handle their parent's relationship. What they also have, IMO, are different loyalties based on what they want. I imagine TFW has convinced some of them that life only has value through fame, while others just want their privacy.
Recognizing your parents shortcomings does not mean you do not love them. It means, as a child, you take on a role of responsibility you may not want. For example, I think Mady's job is to stroke her mother's ego. The boys likely do their chicken chores and lay low otherwise. It's all about keeping the dysfunction as steady as you can, in your own way, this I know.

I always wonder if the sheeple will read Robert's book once it comes out again or if they will choose to remain blind, deaf and DUMBer than a box of rocks. Unless you have all of the information from both sides how can you form a realistic opinion? I see that the girl who tweeted about seeing Jon and the kids has removed her tweet that included the picture. I did see the picture before the deletion, and I just want to point out that the kids were not in the picture. It was a picture of herself, her dad and Jon.
At least the kids' privacy was respected in that sense, and I'm sure Jon had a lot to do with that by requesting that she not take any pictures of the kids.

Nobody ever said that they were. What was posted was that keeping birds as pets versus allowing them to go free is a hot topic and, LIKE POLITICS, admin has said that issues that invoke strong feelings and opinions on either side are best avoided on this blog. No good could come from it, and discussions can get very heated.
When you claim (or express your "opinion") that those here who have birds as pets are guilty of animal abuse, it doesn't sit well and is, in fact, an insult to posters. Why even bring it up?

Lalalalala, many of the sheeple have read Robert's book and many of them are the most vocal in supporting TFW and bashing Jon and Robert. They attack the messenger and make excuses for TFW for the abuse, greed, and exploitation that's described. Those vocal sheeple will never change their opinion of her.
But, I do hope that the fans who didn't get a chance to read Robert's book, and whose interest in it has peaked since hearing about it in the media, will be able to read it at some point - and of those fans who do read it, I do think MANY will quietly disappear from her fandome - never to be heard from again. ;-)

As one that googles a jillion times a day, I'd say you are a curious person. In any case, I do appreciate your curiosity, because it gave us hope that Jon and his children were having a 'normal' Thanksgiving experience instead of the warped regimented holiday that they would have had with TFMJG's version! The photo that was taken by the person that came across them was of Jon ONLY, and that also tells us that it is likely that Jon asked to not photograph his children!

What a missed opportunity for Mady to learn about saving up for something special instead of it just being handed to you. She could save up her chore money or even save up the dividends from what I hope is a heft trust fund. When she's saved half Kate can match it and get the tickets. Tweeting celebs hoping for handouts is not sustainable and also pretty pathetic.
In TFW's mind she , and the kids, are still household names and the toast of the town and she is hoping that by tweeting May's full name someone will take notice. I hate to break it to her but @onedirection has no idea who MadyGosselin is. They have over 16 million followers and get thousands of tweets a day and TFW's tweet is no more special than anyone else's tweet. Her days of backstage passes to any event that they want to attend are over. Hope she doesn't wait too long to buy those tickets or they'll be in the nose bleed section.

That was a nice picture of Jon at the bowling alley that the woman tweeted. He always has a huge smile on his face whenever someone takes his picture. His former wife, not so much.
I've noticed that about his pics with fans. He seems to enjoy making them happy and making someone's day. I imagine it's one of the few bright sides to this whole entire mess and a normal person would cling to that.

I feel bad for this bird. TFW will do anything for attention, especially if her children were with Jon for the holiday weekend. Her lawsuit against Robert was dropped, so she needed something to distract her and keep her company during Thanks Giving holiday. Apparently Steve wasn't around. That poor bird. I only hope it will bite her, shit on her, and tell her she's a fake, so she will give him up sooner than later. I also hope there will be no direct interaction between Zorro and Shoka. That poor parrot may end up buried in the yard or put out with the trash.

In my opinion the whole idea of the the soon to be dismissed lawsuit vaguely alluded that - what was in the journal was true. Now if she can find an attorney, suing for copyright infringement is an outright admission to the abuse of those children.

Unlike the sheep, we have been able to discuss Robert and Jon objectively. We don't blindly make up fantastical stories or explanations as why this or that was done, refusing to acknowlege the error of their ways. So, the fact that Robert may have copyright issues is something that has been acknowleged and discussed already.
That being said- why!!? WHY would she persist on dredging back up a book that was out for 2 days and that no one cares about? Why is she going to admit that she routinely beat babies in diapers and left 2 german shepards crated for days, to wallow in their own vomit and excrement? Why? The means does not justify the end. I can't understand why she wants to own her actions so she can sue someone who is broke. Say she wins. What does she win? The opportunity to work even less than she already does? smh.

I have been reading up a little bit, and it looks like any original work (journals) in a fixed medium (discs) is automatically copyrighted. However, the issue might be whether copyright ended when TFW threw the discs in the trash.If the material is discarded, does copyright still apply? This is going to be interesting.

Again, this probably has nothing at all to do with her journals......, rather, the mention of and quotes from any of her books in his book. Her books are all copyrighted - I checked; but, interestingly, Zondervan might actually own the copyrights (as her publisher). Her attorneys probably got her away from the loser premise of her original suits with the idea that she might have more standing with this kind of action, but who knows?
Just an fyi for any litigators TFMJG may employ in the future, get your retainer in cash up front.
Remember counselor Sylvia LaFaire and even when the debt TFMJG owed was confirmed, TFMJG adamantly did not pay, and Ms LaFaire wisely walked away and avoided more legal fees and further court action.

What's the Streisand effect?
I'm wondering what effect the previous lawsuit will have on the new copyright lawsuit (if this copyright story is true). Even though TFW claimed that the journals were used without her permission, there is a passage in there where she says the information is not true. If she claims copyright, can that passage from the previous lawsuit be used to disprove copyright? If it's not true/accurate, then copyright does not apply. So, which is it? If she now claims the journals are exactly as she wrote them (in order to claim copyright infringement), the wording of the previous lawsuit could be used to impeach her.
She could be impeached by the language of her previous lawsuit, she will have to admit that every word of those journals is exactly as she wrote it, and she could lose because copyright may not apply if she threw the discs in the garbage. TFW is tiptoeing among land mines, and no matter the outcome, she is going to lose a lot. The news that she admits beating the kids will be known the world over. Of course, Ms. Goody set the tone for the sheeple by saying she doesn't care if TFW beat the kids. The other die-hard sheep will probably follow suit and agree that they don't care if the kids were/are beaten. But the rest of the world, beyond the 6 die-hard sheep, will all know the truth.
One more thing--if she now admits that the journals are completely true as Robert depicted them, can Robert then file charges against her for the wording of the previous lawsuit which said they were not true? That means that she lied in order to sue him the first time..
This is not going to turn out well for TFW.

Robert also included excerpts from Multiple Blessings. Co-written by Beth Carlson, no? Interesting. My money says she stays out of it.
I think this is probably the only merit TFW has. When you read an excert from a book, there is always a "used with permission" disclaimer. If she wants to proceed with the journal issue, she would have to admit it is hers in it's unaltered form and go through discovery.

I don't recall the excerpts from her books being that long. It's not that you can't repost ANYTHING someone else has written. Excerpts are usually fine under fair use if the purpose is criticism and clearly that was the whole point of the book. He falls pretty squarely under the fair use exception as long as he keeps the excerpts short.
HIs reprinting of TLC's contracts were a bigger problem in my book, but TLC never officially sued him. Thats's on TLC to do. Kate has no ownership rights of those contracts and no standing to sue for their reprinting.
That leaves her journals to sue under copyright, but then she'd be admitting they are true.
Layla, you make an excellent point. She made it very clear in her first lawsuit that what Robert was saying in his suit was false. So if she turns around and now claims copyright for things she previously said were false, she'd be perjuring herself. Never a wise idea in court. I can't imagine there are very many law firms left willing to take her on.
She'll try to drag this out with another lawsuit in hopes of delaying and then prohibiting the book's re-release. She never wants that book to see the light of day again. After all, how can she fabricate the perfect parent persona on the talk show circuit or continue her Twitter version of happily squeeling children and sunshine and lollipops once Robert's version of her reality becomes available as a comparison.

First of all, I am not an attorney; I just find all this legal stuff very interesting.
When I read the copyright of Zondervan in TFW's books it states *nothing*, not one word, is to be reproduced in any form "unless it is a review in print". While R certainly criticized the books, content and form, I don't think it would stand the test of a 'review'. But, like I say, I'm not an attorney and coupled with the fact that there is no clear description of what TFW is up to, I could be totally off base anyway.

Well, that's just what they're saying. It doesn't make it the law.
I could say none of you are ever to reproduce one word of this blog anywhere else, but it's not going to stop you legally from doing so if you want to within the constraints of copyright law, which DOES allow excerpts even without permission, as long as it's limited.
Robert needs to follow copyright law, not the law of Kate or Zondervan.
