watched the clip of Kate sitting outside on the bench. She looked nervous to me in the beginning. All she said about handling a divorce was straight out of a book of the proper way to handle divorce with your kids. And I bet anything she shares her problems about Jon with the kids all the time...especially Mady and Cara. She is all words, nothing more.
Yes, Kate, the proper the way to handle a separation and divorce is to film it and make sure you can get as many people, say 10 million, to watch it. Of course, all divorce experts would say that is the proper way to do things...NOT. I would love Robert to go through all of Kate Plus 8 and all the interviews and People articles she has done the past 4 years and make a tape of it all. That will prove she has bashed Jon tons of time on TV and in magazines, etc.
And her fake, fake looking french manicure is so outdated. The tips are way too white, yuck!
And most of all, Kate has done something to improve her neck. Oh, yes, she did. It may not have been surgery but she have had botox or fillers in her neck. There is tons of tv footage from her 2 shows showing she had a bad 11 problem. And hence, no more 11 lines that past year or so. That is botox. And it probably cost $300 at least for those shots (more in NY city) and they only last 3 to 4 months. And I think she had a chemical peel done when she was doing Kate Plus 8 towards the end. Her forehead & face were very shiny which was a dead giveaway. I think they chemical removed her 11 lines and sun damage and then did botox and fillers. My, my, for her to upkeep that for the rest of her life is going to be very expensive indeed. And her kids will all notice what a liar is she too about this. Yeah, Kate keep digging yourself into a hole. Tell me her 5 daughters and 3 sons aren't going to notice her huge breasts when they get older.
Ugh, I watched some of her "interview" on mute because I can't stomach her lies. Her smile is neither natural nor genuine. Her scowl is much more her.

lol, local! I do the same thing. I can WATCH brief snippets of her, but I just can't stand to listen to her. Those ums are enough to drive anyone to pull out their hair. The woman just can't talk. I can't wait until that magical day when one or more or all of her 5 daughters ask Mommy about that magical bra she wears that increased her from a B to a D. I would love to see her expression and the "honestly" and "umms" that will be flying out of her mouth.Of course her daughters will want to see and try on that magical bar themselves. They will want bigger breast too one day. It is common among a lot of teens. Again, she will be caught in another huge lie when it is on tape of her lying on The View and other shows that she never used botox or had any breast surgery.

High Sodium Content - I doubt that TFW was paid for this appearance. Her rep probably sent out a bunch of emails (or called) different shows toutingTFW's new cookbook and letting them know she was available for interviews. I'm going to take a wild guess on this and say that she was probably a last minute fill in for someone who cancelled. If this had been booked when the other shows were booked by HCI it probably would have been listed as part of her world tour or if she'd known about it for a while she would have been teasing the sheeple about the great things to come. This little trip is on the kids' dime.

IMO, I think that Kate not telling her tweeties and fans about her appearance on H&C, is a huge slap in the face to them. Does she think that since Milo tweeted about it that that is enough, and it's easier to let her minions do promotion for her?
As much as Kate professes to love, love, love her tweeties, I think she really showed how she doesn't care one iota about them by not promoting her appearance on the H&C show. Just like she didn't promote her book signings. She expects her fans to find things out for themselves.
What if Carezee hadn't mentioned it here? Would anyone have known about it?
I just don't understand why her fans and tweeties don't get it. She uses them and they just don't see it. She hasn't tweeted anything in 5 days, but expects them to understand, because she is "working". She is glowing from their praises, but doesn't even have the common courtesy to let them know what she is doing.
She's a user, and her tweeties are her enablers. I guess that is works best for her.

While they wait, stuck together in their notoriety of "8" why not watch reruns of old shows to reinforce what mommy so desperately wants!
What continues to astonish me, baffle me, is how she gets fresh airtime. Is there still that much fascination left in the fact she had multiples? This seems implausible to me. She offers nothing of interest, has no real point of view on anything substantive, brings nothing to the table, what keeps her relevant?
As long as anyone will give her a chance to be in front of a camera, she will invent reasons to be there. Yep, up next, the lawsuit circuit.
I think more of the public are (again) beginning to relate to Jon Gosselin and have sympathy for this single Dad. I am sure that upsets TFW and so her answers to even soft questions have a completely new spin....and may I say it is a nauseating one.
Answers to the same past events are now different.
She has lost her ability to appear demure. She comes across as defensive, rehearsed, and weary of the memorized scripted answers. Her words are strained and insincere. It even looked like she was choking for air,
The woman lies to suit her agenda. She changes facts and the innuendo is sickening. She does appear strained now, tired and I have to say bitter. It isn't the shrieking about pizza or coupon bitter, but quiet and hardened.
Regarding the fact Kate fails to inform her twitter followers about appearances, well - I just had a thought.
Maybe she stays quiet because if she announced her appearances, people might call the venue hosting her appearance and complain or protest. Maybe she's afraid that by not anouncing her appearances, she can ensure she actually gets to appear!
And one more comment...she said the kids miss the crew? I thought they visit the kids all the time. Isn't that what she said? They're like family?

If the kids are crying over a revolving door of 22 year old grips who were around working at their house over two years ago, Jon is right, they are developmentally stunted. They need therapy to help them move on from the past in a healthy manner. Kate thinks this will make people feel sorry for them and give them a reality show. Rather it just makes her poor kids seem like the need help.
All that said, I don't believe for one second these kids spend one second of their day, month or even year pining after some hipster grip.

This reminds me of the Dionnes. Nothing that was done to them was healthy but they definitely tried to extend the Quintland thing far beyond their cute years. Although Quintland ended when they were still kids, there are some pics of them all dressed up alike and put on display when they were in the late teen years. They looked so awkward and uncomfortable. They were WAY too old for such nonsense.
The same thing was done to Shirley Temple.
It's really sad and unhealthy for a kid to not let them be their age and move on from the past. I can't imagine. I've never read any of Shirley Temple's books but I wonder if she's ever written about that. I bet she would have words of wisdom.

If there were no egg that's probably why it fell apart. This doesn't seem like a tried and true recipe if it has a flaw as huge as that. If it has no egg she needs to explain why she's deviating from the tradition recipe and what substitute she uses that acts as a binding agent. Milk? Ketchup? She doesn't say. The reality is there was no substitute and that's why it fell apart. The problem is she is not an authority on cooking. She doesn't know anything more than a freshman in college. This is a big reason she can't sell her cookbook. Because she has utterly failed at selling herself as any kind of authority and most people know it. With all the recipes on the internet, to sell a cookbook you've got to offer something else.
To Kirklan (#11): I think you are right. Also, doesn't TFMJG realize how utterly STUPID she sounds saying that her kid (Alexis) CRIES over watching old episodes of their STUPID show? That is not psychologically normal to be crying like that. TFW is such an idiot.

Maybe their crying has nothing to do with their parents no longer being together, or missing the crew. Maybe they are crying because the ONLY dvd's that WOS allows them to watch are of the show. They are kids, and I think they would rather watch dvd's of other things than the same things they've been forced to watch over and over and over and.........

I think it is MUCH more likely that TFW stays quiet because she is afraid that very few people will show up to see her. By keeping it all a deep dark secret, she has a built in excuse for low turnout.

Shows like that normally do not pay. They will cover travel expenses and a hotel for a night or two, but that's about it. I seriously doubt that a low-budget show like that would even pay for Steve to come along. They pay for travel expenses only, and the person appearing gets the chance to promote themselves or their product or show. Or beg for a show.
I do get the feeling that TFW is gunning for a co-host gig on that show. Or she's trying to act like a co-host, hoping it will catch someone's eye who can give her that co-hosting job on some show. Otherwise, why did she need to butt in on all the other segments? Odd, though, if she's hoping for an offer from H&F...that show is filmed in LA. She recently said a gig as a co-host on a show like The Talk would be ideal, and The Talk is also filmed in LA. I get the feeling that she is fed up with small-town nowheresville and wants to move out to LA where the real action happens. Perhaps she realizes that living where she does severely limits the kinds of TV projects she could do. The only way she could do another show in Wernersville is if she did something like her previous shows, where the crew comes to her. That's not going to happen--it's been done already and failed--so she may be desperate enough to try branching out. Perhaps that really is the purpose behind her lawsuit, to get the kids away from Jon like she said in her email to Hailey. She thought she'd win by default, bury the book, get Jon's parental rights terminated, and move with the kids to LA and be the next Kardashian clan. But that darn Jon just isn't going along with her plan. How dare he get an amazing lawyer and fight back! And then go on TV to make money so he has the resources to fund that fight. He just ruins everything, doesn't he? (Go Jon!)
I just got back from reading the Forum on the Hallmark Channel, only one person said anything nice about TFW, the rest were negative. I don't get that channel up here, I did try to email the channel with my opinion, but it only allows comments from the U.S. One commenter said that maybe TWF would get a date out of doing the show, because the host, Mark, is also single. Wonder what Steve would do if Mark did ask her out?

A bit off topic. I read this books over 10 years ago and will try to recall as much as possible. It is Family Secrets written by the 3 surviving sisters at that time.
As babies, the Dionnes likeness was used to sell a variety of products, from corn syrup to tyres. They were put on display and starred in movies about their own birth. Collectable items such as spoons and plates were also marketed.
Mundane events such as their fevers or growing of teeth made news around the world.
They knew very on what pretend meant and understood that they had to unwrap Christmas gifts and have photos taken so that the photos could appear on newspapers around the world at the correct time.
Even after being reunited with their family, they were always dressed in matching dresses and hair styles. Their father ensured that a photographer and newspaper reporters came to the family house for any and every religious and holiday celebration.
For one birthday, they were presented with a pony and the press was invited to take photos. After the press and guests left, the pony was given to the favourite son and the girls were given 2 bikes to share.
This did not go well with the other children in the home.
At age 20, Emily passed away and they were forced to pose standing around her open coffin as they were bound by contract.
A year later they were also photographed at her graveside, in matching outfits, laying flowers.
They read in a newspaper about how Emily's share of the quint fund would be divided. Only then did they learn that all they money they earned was put into a fund, but could be used for their upbringing and the accountant was very accommodating . The mansion the family moved into, the new car the father bought every year and the grand new lifestyle was all paid for from their fund.
When the 4 sisters learned of this, they were upset as they had always been made to feel as if they were a burden on the family - feeding 5 additional mouths (there were 5 kids before) and were often made to eat puffed rice and milk in the basement playroom while the family got to eat meat and veggies.
They also realised that their father was jealous of them and the attention they received. Their fan mail was opened by family members. Many times, he would only allow photos to be taken, but only if he were in them too.
He controlled who came into contact with the girls and the girls would of often dream of life outside the mansion walls and big gates. He had them very wary of outsiders and they were never left alone with visitors at the home. The hardly left the family home and craved to just go out. When they did go out, the father would insist on police escort etc and any joy they might have had would lost because of the fuss and stares.
They wanted to interact with outsiders as they soon realised that they were simply friendly and curious and harmless. If they attempted to wave to fans at public appearances, he would insult them, yet he sold his autograph.
When the girls were of age and moved out, their father would ensure that the newspapers knew their address so that they could be photographed. He wanted to keep the family name in the press as much as possible.

Kate's reply is almost incoherent and shows why she will never be a regular on a talk show:
"Um, honestly, I don’t know, uh, you kind of can’t, I mean, I can…you… I know for a fact that when you go from being a parent of two kids to eight within, you know, three minutes, literally, I mean that’s scary."
But HOW did the show change the family. The answer she was evading: "It broke up my family." Wouldn't a body language expert say she had lots of verbal "tells" in all that?
Kate is still a talentless hack. She can spend hundreds of thousands on plastic surgery/botox/hair coloring/etc., to become appealing to look at on camera, but she STILL HAS NO MARKETABLE SKILLS.
She is an airhead who cannot converse in an interesting manner during interviews. She is a disaster with a pretty bow on it.

Marie Osmond had a talk show on Hallmark that was recently cancelled. Do you think it is possible that they are looking for another host for a new daytime talk show? Does the program that Kate was on have an opening for a co-host?
I wondered for a long time if Kate was offered a permanent (say a year or 3 year contract) well paying job in LA what would she do about the kids. I think she would be away from them for most of the week and come home on Fridays. I really don't see Kate ever selling her home in PA and taking her 8 kids out there. It is super expensive and her 8 kids are not going to be "discovered" and find employment out there. And she would love to be away from her kids M-F. Remember she is more than fine--"it works best for us" for her to be away from home 50% of the time anyway.
Personally I don't think Hallmark or any show will be offering her a position as a co-host or host. If Marie Osmond can't make a talk show work, Kate certainly isn't going to be an improvement over super talented, respected Marie Osmond. No Way!
And hats off to Paper Plates about her previous comment how Kate states the same crap over and over again. Why is she invited to these programs. She really is dull and a broken-record.
Kate is slowly going away. It seems she isn't but every year she is less and less on TV and in the tabloids. The paps are far away for the most part. The book is old news and the lawsuit may be settled in 12 months or so. Then what for Kate.She can't possibly write another book. Unless something breaks really big, she will be talked about and seen less and less and in a few years she won't be invited on anything. At least I can hope.

I think you're right. Not only could Marie not make a go of it, Kris Jenner fell flat on her face when she tried. I don't think Bethenny's show was picked up either. Talk shows are tough- soo many have tried and most bomb miserably.
Thank you to the poster above who posted the Dionne info. It's been posted here many times but I'll post it again- the letter the remaining 3 Dionne sisters (at that time) wrote to Bobbie & Kenny MacCaughey in 1997. Those women were telling Bobbie & Kenny NOT to do what was EXACTLY done to the Gosselin kids by their parents.

And she says about the dark days of their divorce, "Their world feels shattered but you are going to pick up the pieces and put it back together". (Of course you would do that on the week that you were home and not the following week when you were gone).
And her botox between her eyes is slightly wearing off. You can see her 11 lines slightly coming back. Man she really had a bad problem with that. It made her look like more of a bitch than she was.
IF those little kids cry while watching their old show, it is probably because they are heart broken, watching themselves and realizing their little lives were bad even then. In fairness, Kate's meatloaf recipe does call for 2 to 3 eggs. I don't think Kate cooked the meatloaf that was cut on the show. I think an assistant cooked it and maybe she only used 2 instead of 3 eggs. (Though I didn't see that segment).
But in 2008, on Good Morning America, Jon and Kate and the 8 were there and she cooked the exact same recipe. That I fault her for. I think Kate purposely picked a recipe that everything was literally dumped into a bowl and that was that. I mean there is no cooking in that. I think she is afraid to cook on TV. Heck, she even admitted she has no proper use of knives or chopping. I think she was told that when she went for her audition for the Food TV network.
I often wonder is Jon has any legal say over the residency of their children. I wouldn't think Kate could pull up and move to L.A. with the kids without his permission, or could she?
Mady claims she wants to pursue acting, and no doubt Kate could work that angle to fulfill her daughter's ambition/dream by moving there. I put nothing past her, including using Mady to get herself where she wants to be. She is not interested in the life she has in PA, and the reality of that ordinary existence is driving her to do anything to escape it.
I watched the show, and I just want to clear up one thing.
When Kate made the meatloaf, she did put eggs in it. She didn't come right out and say it, but a closeup of the mixing bowl did show that there were eggs in it. Halfway through making the meatloaf, she stopped saying what she was adding, because everyone was asking her questions. She just kept on throwing things in while answering questions without saying what she was adding.
She also didn't mention adding parmesan cheese but she did dump it into her mixture. I think it was right after that that she added the eggs. She didn't crack the eggs on camera-they were already in a container and she just poured them in.
There were several things shown on that show to criticize Kate for, but not putting eggs in her meatloaf isn't one of them.

HA HA Kate. Opened up the paper this a.m. to see Ree Drummond on the cover and an excellent 4 page spread about her. I occasionally catch her show and she is an excellent teacher when it comes to cooking. I like her down-to-earth recipes also. Her blog is also wildly popular. She is genuinely a nice person. Oh, there is also going to be a movie about her life with Reese Witherspoon portraying her. She is happily married with a beautiful family. She is all the things Kate is not.
I believe her comment about the kids crying was ambiguous at best. She said she will hear crying upstairs and she will call up "what's going on?" And kids will reply " we're just watching the show" Though I use quotation marks they are not exact quotes. Facts seem to be that kids watch DVDs upstairs in their bedrooms. Kate of course doesn't go up to investigate. Is the tv so loud that she can hear crying from the episode? Were there that many episodes where the kids has long crying jags? Aren't cries of a three year old different than that of a 9 year old? Or is a child crying while watching the show and kate is reassured than nothing is wrong, just sad about what they r watching. Similar to her "serve it up for the crew"comment, two possible meanings. My interpretation was the latter. If only because TV volume would need to be very loud. If kate could hear crying she would also have heard tv voices. There is no volume difference in a tv show from voice to cry. BTY, the original tweet was mine.

I wouldn't worry that network would ask Kate to be a co-host any type of Kate/entertainment show. She absolutely cannot think or talk on her feet, something required to be on tv. As far as Hallmark hiring her, this network cancelled Martha Stewart's show and Marie Osmond's show. So, they are going to hire Kate Gossein? Come on now, I don't think so.
Here is just a thought. The other ladies that are in that picture with TFW are on Home and Family several times a week. There are actually quite a few others including Tanya Memme who use to host Sell This House. Do you think they might be looking for another person on that show to do segments? Maybe they think TFW would be an expert on raising children and could give viewers tips. I hope not because if I have to watch her beyond Monday I am done with that show. I love the show and Cristina and Mark but I would boycott it if she is going to be a permanent fixture.

She's got a good way about her with teaching in general. When I was first getting back into photography and needed to go back to basics to remember how everything worked, I read her tutorials. She has some excellent ones on aperture and shutter speed and ISO. It's basic stuff but it gave me the foundation I needed to start using manual mode and move on to studying harder things that required a perfect understanding of the basics. I think running a blog like that it really does help to have a gift for teaching because much of what you do *is* teaching. Now that she is more comfortable with the cameras on her show, you can also see how good she is at teaching. She could have easily made one hell of a teacher, I can see maybe middle or high school.
Because Kate's blog is in the same style as her, as in let me pass on my knowledge of cooking/child rearing/life in general, being a good teacher would benefit her brand, too. Alas of course she is not. So this is when you either hire a ghost writer or find something else you are good at and stop this nonsense.

They were born in 1934 - no internet, computers. Their own memories of how they lived and were exploited were damaging enough. But they also could "read" about it too, adding to their knowledge and hurt about how wrong it was for their parents to make them support the family and be treated like "entertainment ... be an opportunity to sell products." In their own words: "Our lives have been ruined by the exploitation we suffered at the hands ...".
So fast forward to today. Kate can falsely claim, as she does over and over again, the the kids are fine. She can lie to herself all she wants and fool herself that people believe her. But the Gosselin kids, as soon as they have uncensored ability to search the internet, will read everything out there including their own mother's hateful words, twitter postings, interviews, and articles about their father, their lives, and how much she LIES, etc. And they will not only read it but they will hear it in her own words as they watch her say it!
And just like Kate claims they watch the J&K8 dvds daily, the kids will watch Kate's own hateful interviews on youtube, etc, over and over again. And be able to read the years of articles and all the comments about her LIES, how she talked about and treated their father, and the FAKE character she tried to portray on TV but not at home. That also will be their memories of their lives growing up with Kate as their mother.
So Kate may try now to rewrite history in some of her interviews, BUT it will NEVER erase what is already out there for the Gkids to see and read when she can no longer control them.
No matter how much Kate tries to sell it today, I will ALWAYS believe that there WILL be future permanent damage to the Gkids when they are free of her and know the TRUTH.

Agree. Huge misconception that these are paid gigs. They're usually not. All those talking heads on T.V. are unpaid. It is understood that your "payment" is the free promotion you are getting. I'm not even sure they would have paid her flight out here although she might have been able to get HCI to pay it.

I don't for one minute believe the kids watch their old show all the time. I watched the video of Kate on H&F on the Hallmark website. Kate has nothing new to say. If I did not know this was just taped this week, I would have thought it was from years ago.
It amazes me that when she appears on these shows, she repeats the same old lies with all the "ums", "like", "you know", "so yeah", "honestly", "fun" and year after year continues to embellish her lies trying to rewrite history.
One of her comments regarding the crew was just pathetic. So, before she said the crew was "family" now she is adding an analogy about how the crew is just like neighbors, who they are "really close to" like friends, and who then move away.
Well, my neighbors that I am friends with are NOT being PAID to be around me. And when my neighbors, who are friends, move away, I keep in touch with emails, phone calls, visits, vacations, etc.
But according to Kate, the crew, who are "like family" and now evolved into "really close" neighbors who move away, must NOT keep in touch with the Gosselins because in her own words the kids say "I wish they would come visit", "I really miss the crew ...still".
So sad that Kate thinks this sounds okay. IF what she says is true (though I don't believe it), how sad for the Gkids that their lives are so lacking in close friendships and family relationships that they would be expressing how they miss grown adults who were paid employees from YEARS AGO ?!?!

The crew was paid to do a job. When the job is done they move on. It is interesting that none of the crew has stopped by the visit them. (Me speculating) Perhaps the crew are dealing with their issues with what they saw Kate do and they themselves didn't do anything to stop it or report it. And maybe they don't want anything further to do with Kate. Maybe a combination of both.
Or maybe, just maybe, the crew does not live anywhere near Wernersville, PA and dropping by was never going to happen. Here's an idea Kate, why don't you invite them all to a reunion barbecue and see who shows up? Her retweets don't show on her timeline. You have to go to her actual twitter page to see them. I'm assuming Milo would have seen them because she follows Kate.

Empress, I think the book was written about the Yours Mine and Ours family that was subject of a movie with Lucille Ball and Henry Fonda. It was an adult son who wrote out.
I watched the clip. Why on God's green earth would she not correct those two co-hosts that she did not feed the crew. EVERYBODY knows that food was catered.
And even though those questions were obviously pre approved or submitted by Kate herself, she still cannot provide a coherent answer.
Let's see, she also lied when she said they had the same crew members. Jen Stocks left and other people rotated in and out. In fact I distinctly remember on one of the shows either Jon or Kate commenting that the only original crew member was the sound guy. I do not recall his name but he was shown one time with booties over his shoes because she claimed to be such a neat freak.
She lied about not bad mouthing an ex spouse. And she lied that she did not want her children to choose one parent over another ( I guess all those presents they get do not appeal to them to stay with mom).
She lied that the crew just filmed them going about their business when we know scenes were reshot and staged.
She tells so many lies maybe she believes them.
Oh, and if her eyebrows were any higher they would be on her scalp. Then again, her scalp may need the extra hair.
She's trying to do a complete turnaround as if everything we know and saw her do didn't happen. We had her all wrong! According to her, she's a real peach.
Now raising eight kids is 'a piece of cake' and 'it's not that many'. It's fun! Everything is fun at the Gosselinland theme park. The conversations are a lot of fun... the show was a fun experience...we travelled and did fun things... we paid our bills and had fun doing it...
I mean who wasn't having fun being sick on the laundry room floor or on the double-decker bus or on the fishing boat? It was a real hoot.

I see why both sides of her family don't speak to her. She is a misfit.
A Chameleon of sorts. Kate takes her lies and applies where applicable. Where ever she speaks she twist/turns to benefit her situation. There is not a truthful bone in her body. Just imagine for a second what she SPUES to her children on a daily basis. Very sad , so very very sad.

All these life skills are important. While it's normal and good to form strong attachments to friends and family, it's also important to understand that there will be many other people in your life who come and go. Coworkers is a big one. It was a bad idea to get so attached to the crew, if they even did. They are a revolving door of 20 somethings who likely weren't even from PA. They likely treated it as just another job and then on to the next one. There is no reason not to be friends and to be nice to them, but forming such an attachment that you are still pining for them two years later isn't healthy for these kids. They need to focus on the real lasting relationships in their lives.
How will they deal with this as adults if your cubicle mate decides to be a stay at home mom or leaves for some other job? You have to be able to let some people go sometimes and be emotionally okay with that. Some people you may never even see again. They move away or they're not interested in keeping up some relationship that was pretty superficial to begin with. It can be over with just like that and what are you going to do, call in sick the rest of the week?
It is a social skill and life skill to separate out your acquaintances from your REAL relationships. And it's just yet another she has apparently failed her children at.
It always reminds me of The Office. Michael, the boss, was always far more attached to his coworkers than they were him. He thought of them as his family, meanwhile most of them did not see it that way at all. It was just a job, and their real family and real friends were at home. Although this was a comedy, there were times when this was quite sad. Sad because for people like him this is what happens when they don't understand what people are to them, and what they are not. Whenever Kate talks about those so called deep bonds she had on her show, I think of Michael.
Another thing too is with the exception of a role like Jen where you're interacting directly with the family, a lot of the crew wouldn't have had a lot of time to really shoot the breeze with all the kids. When did they deep attachments happen exactly?
Has anyone been on a set? The sound people are WORKING. Head bent, headphones on, working. Other people in production are always on headsets WORKING. When it's a wrap for the day, they either run straight off for food and a drink, or they run straight back to the hotel to review their work for the day. A set is not romper room. It's a job, and it's serious. It may have been fun and games for Kate, but for the crew it was their work product, their reputation and their IMDB pages at stake. It was likely not a game or social hour. Besides if you get a reputation for shooting the breeze on the set all the time or crossing boundaries with the talent, that could come back to bite you.

When I listened to her say that, I thought "Huh? What is that supposed to mean?"
Is Kate saying that everything the kids went through is "normal" for them? I guess being abused, belittled, etc. was "normal" for them because that is what they experienced on day-to-day basis.
Cameras stuck in their faces, mother belittling father, etc--yeah, Kate that may be "normal" for your children, but it is not "normal" in most children's lives.

Today, I am posting quite abit. I am home sick and my kids are busy with activities. I am very lucky to have friends and family to help carpool them around when I am not feeling so well.
Anyway... another observation:
Kate cannot get over the past. Her interview on H&F offered only new lies about the PAST. I didn’t see the video but apparently the recipe she prepared was “Meatloaf”.
She prepared the SAME recipe on GMA in October 2008!

I think any network or cable station that would be foolish enough to give TFW a co-hosting gig, would get exactly what they deserve - dismal ratings, endless mocking, and having to deal with a crazy, lazy, talentless woman. It would be a train wreck, and yes, I'd have trouble peeling my eyes away from it all as it crashed and burned.
Frankly, I was surprised that even this small cable show on Hallmark had her on. Someone suggested that perhaps a regularly scheduled guest had to cancel at the last minute, and in desperation, they called around and finally reached TFW, who was (surprise, surprise) available to fill in. That might explain why she was late and not in the opening sequences.
Even though I've known this for years, it still amazes me that someone with absolutely no redeeming quality whatsoever, can actually still have her 15 minutes of fame and celebrity in this world. It's a continuing lesson that much of we are presented on tv and other media -- is not at all what it seems. So much of it is completely phony, and used primarily to either sell products to viewers, or sell them on a certain viewpoint or belief system. It's all a big infomercial.
I think it's untrue Kate heard 'Alexis crying on TV'. She couldn't hear them when Leah cut her head or when they trashed the nursery. (in one of her books) I never saw a baby monitor in their house. She seems to ignore all crying and arguments anyway.

This describes the FTW so well. Problem is she will not ever get it and the kids are left to deal with her NPD (in my opinion) on a daily basis, as well as use them for her tool, although the majority of the kids appear to want nothing to do with filming. Never mind that, what parent EXPECTS all 8, Count 'em 8 kids to want to film, after she very clearly said when ANYONE wanted to stop, they will no longer film. Clearly, that is NOT the case. TFW has been so erratic recently, changed her stories so many times, over past 8 months, to suit her agenda, but especially recently, when all she does is embarrass herself and her kids. Over and over and over again. Because her stories change erratically (with TFH) or are the same old/same old with edits to fit her needs on a day to day basis. Wish she spend that much time focusing on the kids' needs, rather than her own, but not happening. It is really sad and disgusting at the same time. TFMJG can't move Jon's children out of the state without his approval. Now if BOTH of them get jobs in another state, I could see Jon approving the move. Otherwise, TFW can't legally take the children. Which, in my opinion, is the root cause of TFW's lawsuit against Jon and Robert. She 'honestly' believes if she wins the lawsuit, Jon would lose his parental rights to his children and she would then be able to move. A win against Robert and stopping the re-release of his book would just be the icing on the cake of stripping Jon of his parental rights.

While I agree with you that the children watching their show over and over is not healthy, my mind goes in a different direction. I wonder if the constant viewing their life when they were toddlers is also a constant subconscious reminder of the abusive mother they have.
I wonder if it is, in a sense, brainwashing them, keeping them in the fearful state of mind they had at that age, therefore making them easier for the MonsterMother to control them now. As an abused child, I can assure you that after enough beatings with a belt (or for Jon's children the spoon) just the sight of the thing can jerk you into instant compliance.
I'm not sure I'm explaining my point in an articulate manner, but hopefully some will know what I'm trying to say, and give their opinion of my theory.

Interesting that you asked this question, because yesterday I had a film crew in my house for 14 hours! I'm going to be very vague about how this came about, because I want to protect both myself and the family members involved from the nasty people oh so happy to ''out'' someone.
Anyway, the entire time the INTRUSIVE shoot was going on, I thought about the Gosselin children. My entire house was taken over, lit with huge lights that were so hot we had to turn on the a/c. I'm a little ole lady that clearly understood what I was agreeing to when I allowed them to use my house for a set, but I was so surprised at the amount of equipment, the huge BRIGHT lights, the number of unknown to me people, the feeling of violation I had when strangers were touching my things, rearranging my things in order to ''dress the set''. I thought the day would never end. It seemed to last for weeks, not just one day.
After yesterday, my sorrow at what those innocent children endured in order for TFMJG to have her face on tv went through the roof! I can't even count the times I thought ''thank you Jon for taking your children out of that mess!''
Per TFW, "A child's normal is normal. What is normal to them is normal." I guess this also applies to her. When your "career" on reality TV is over, it's over. When it's over, it's over and it's over!
Also if "the crew" were really like family or very dear neighbors wouldn't the kids say "I miss Scott and Jen" rather than referring to them as "the crew"? Not surprisingly, the kids don't know their names because Kate doesn't know their names either so she can't remind them who they are - just "the crew".
To Kate they are just "the crew" and can be dismissed and treated like a non-person who doesn't deserve a name or respect.

The original book was "Who Gets the Drumstick" by Helen Beardsley. The movie with Ball and Fonda was "Yours, Mine and Ours." (1968) Remade in 2005 with a forgettable cast.
The expose by one of the adult children,of the step father's abuse, the family dysfunction, and the need for the children to recover from the misprepresentation of their family in the movie is "True North - The Shocking Truth about 'Yours, Mine and Ours'" by Tom North.
It is a good read for Gosselin watchers. Like the Beardsley/North children, the Gosselin kids will undoubtedly have to deal with the disonnance between their lives on TV and actual experiences, and their parents' portrayal of their lives today and their reality.

It is so disturbing to hear that the kids are supposedly still watching their old shows all the time and talking about missing the crew. The crew left in August of 2011, and it's now Nov. 2013. Where are the new friends and acquaintances to fill the void? Why don't they seem to miss their old friends and family that TFW banished from their lives? I definitely believe what Jon said about the kids being isolated. The twins are allowed to have outside activities and friends, but now the tups. They don't seem to have playdates, they don't go to church any longer, and they do not take part in sports, activities, or lessons.
I think that TFW keeps them isolated, so they are available to film whenever someone with a camera comes around. Those tups are the ones who made her famous. They are what put her face on TV. She didn't have them to nurture and love, she had them to make herself rich and famous. They are the means to her end. I can just see her telling them that they can't afford activities unless they have a show. They can't go on vacations unless they have a show. They watch the old shows and see themselves in gymnastics and baseball, going to Gymboree, seeing museums and taking in ball games and hockey games. They see themselves going on vacations. These things are not a part of their lives now, so the only way they can experience them is to watch their old shows.

When I first saw the photo Milo tweeted I thought it was bizarre but I assumed it was a photo she found. She put the hose and shoes on her dogs? I can't imagine doing that or even thinking of it. She was tired so decided to wrestle two dogs to get panty hose on them? Cuz that's what I would have to do to get hose on my dog.

I wanted to post that because we've talked quite a bit about whether Kate would consult Jon for Celebrity Wife Swap and other things she's done with the kids. Kate even implied he wasn't consulted for CWS because she said she and the kids made the decision. I had forgotten that he was upset over not being asked about Party City, ages ago.
Today, while standing in the check-out lane at the grocery store, I was looking at the magazine covers and noticed an "In Touch" magazine that had Kate Gosselin on the cover, and it said something about Kate's sad life, and said something about her plastic surgery, and some other stuff about how poor she is now, blah, blah, blah.... .
For the life of me I cannot understand why ANYBODY would open themselves and their children up for criticism like she does. Any normal person would have come away from having that reality series and get far, far away from the public's critical eye.
Molly Ringwald moved to France for a while to get away from the public. She was tired of being a spectacle and wanted a normal, human, quiet life. Kate's kids deserve better.

Thanks for posting a link to the picture. For those who can't view it, it's two (Golden Retriever?) dogs lying on the floor side by side. The reasons I find it offensive are:
1. If this were a photo of a woman lying on the floor, bed or couch in pantyhose, it would be with her skirt off, and with her backside to the camera. In other words, if it were a woman posing, it would be provocative. To sexual animals is sick.
2. Why must some people make animals endure wearing human clothing? It's not natural, and probably uncomfortable. It's disrespectful to the animal, IMO.
3. Add high heels to the mix!
I have seen photos of dogs with Christmas headbands on, or maybe a holiday scarf. I don't see much wrong with that. But this crosses a line into creepy territory for me.

I am on my way to a Rock and Roll marathon finish line. San Antonio Texas. My son is running his 3rd full marathon and I will be there to cheer him at the 26 mile success.

Rather than being followed and hounded by the paparazzi TFW now "flies under the radar" wherever she goes. TFW's new reality is that no one cares any more.

What video is it you mean? I agree with your opinion from what I have seen on CWS and KC. Certain ones of the kids seem to have attitude and others are afraid of their own shadow. I do feel sorry for them all.

I finally watched the H&F clip, and wow--TFW's commas on each side of her mouth are gone. Completely. Those were big, deep ()s, and suddenly they disappeared. Along with the lls between her eyes. How do you think that happened? Methinks it's Botox! You could see a kind of a bump just under the left eyebrow, so she's definitely having injections. Her face also looks very long. Overall, it was a normal TFW interview...everything is hunky-dory, lots of ummmm and honestly, and incredibly distracting how she kept reaching up to push her hair out of her right eye. That woman has no interviewing skills. None.

Especially the ones who are convinced that they are best friends with celebrities who couldn't care less about them. One of Kate's young fans, who has a girl crush on two reporters, calls them "lovely," acts as a pr person (similar to what Milo does with Kate), and seems to be convinced that she's involved in their lives. The thing is that all anyone can read these tweets. Who does that?
The psychology (neat psychology) of this is interesting. Do they actually believe that these celebrities and media personalities are their buddies, or is this some form of escapism? The Uggs lady is another example of a fan who uses Twitter to feel close to celebrities. When do they carry it too far? Is it harmless fun, or can it get out of hand? Twitter has opened up a whole new world of sociological/psychological issues involving the relationship between celebrities and the average Joe on the Street.
Then there's Milo, who could be a study in a class all her own!
Damsy, Let me add my congrats to your son. Completing a marathon requires a lot of training and a desire to never give up. To have family and friends cheering him on means a lot to a marathoner. Disclaimer: I'm not a marathoner, just my sister's wing-man who runs marathons.
I looked at the photo that Milo tweeted and thought...what the heck? Why would she tweet something like that? She could be nothing more than an obsessed fan, absolutely harmless, who just has an enormous girl crush on Kate. But then again, how is anyone to know? Bizarre is bizarre, and some of her tweets are downright creepy.
Some of these catfishers are very polished in what they do. Look at celebrities who have been caught in the net. The problem is that on Twitter they can be relatively unknown entities, creating whatever persona they want. That's why these celebrities and others need to exercise caution when befriending these people. She might be just someone who has let her obsession morph into an almost unhealthy addiction, but to say that someone such as this is harmless isn't really recognizing the fact that some of these fans aren't what they seem to be, or what they can be. In fact, they are so emotionally involved that we don't know to what extent these obsessions will be carried...or how they ultimately will manifest themselves. You just don't know what mental health issues they might have (insecurity, narcissism, low self-esteem) that may have been present for some time. Inserting themselves into the lives of famous persons may be a form of their own personal therapy. The problem is, though, that it's one-sided. Celebrities may respond, but not to the extent these fans believe they are entitled.
Twitter, in these cases, can be a scary place.
Dmasy, happy to hear you're cheering your son on. I've been reading and enjoying your comments for years, and on your worst day I couldn't imagine you referring to your son as "icky" or "dirty." Recently you mentioned going through a sad time with something,
and I was sorry to hear that.
It just occurred to me...I thought TFW's reputation was supposedly ruined by her big bad ex? Then how did she manage to score not one but two appearances on this Hallmark show? Either your reputation is ruined or it isn't. It's like being little bit pregnant - either you are or you're not.
So psychology is "amazing" and "neat?" Love it when the New York bestselling author busts out her thesaurus. How about 'keen," "boss," "far-out," and "groovy?" If she thinks she has the gift of gab, then I hope she kept the receipt.
