Yikes! I am starting to think TFW is able to post under Milo's name. This "logic" is very twisted, much like Kate's twitter, blog posts, and much like her "couch" interviews," in which she justifies what she does, much of it which is NOT an accurate account of what actually happened.
---------------
I've seen volumes of stupid stuff coming out of Milo's mouth, but that one really ranks up there as being the most twisted, and yes, one of the dumbest things she's ever tweeted.
Hey, when the Brady bunch was on, most of us here were pre-teens, and thought wow what a great show. Ideal family. Then we grew up and realized, what a bunch of crap that show was. A real fantasy family. A lot of people as well as kids, growing up thought a lot of the TV shows on TV were real. These families really existed. What a nice family with kids problems. Watching those shows today, I really cringe, and asked myself, what was I thinking, back then. Even the kid conflicts were so not real. Today instead of stories to entertain us, we have reality TV. I don't know which is worse. Laughable comedy/dramas or unrealistic movie of the week or real idiot/dirty laundry drama.
Hi LoveMyGrandsons! Good to see you posting here again, and am glad to hear that you're well.
Congratulations, Ex Nurse! Feels great to be a grandma, doesn't it? My grandson made his grand appearance a month ago, and I still haven't come down from Cloud Nine!

Strange at best, but has the hallmark of TFW when things do not go her way. Narcissists will use anyone at any time to make their point.
I didn't watch the game because I'm not into hockey but thought this was a good article because people are talking about poor sportsmanship. Obviously the better team normally wins in any sport EXCEPT baseball when all those other teams beat my METS because of bad calls by the umpires.
olivia walton @lovemedietcoke 12h @MiloandJack curious.do u sends texts or leave messages of encouragement 2 people u actually know(family/friends) or is this just for kate?
Fired Up 4 Kate @MiloandJack 12h @lovemedietcoke Oh absolutely! Im 4ever putting sticky notes on frig door..sending txts 2kids...hubs...my mother...sharing w/workmates! :)

I wonder if the people she bombards with her syrupy notes of encouragement feel obligated to reciprocate or if Milo expects them to?
I think it's so strange to view life as something so difficult and intimidating that one needs continual fortification from others just to make it through the day.

Oh sheesh I'm sure that gets annoying. Your phone always going off with platitudes from mom. I can't imagine if I got a "hang in there, kid" kitty pic from my mom at 11 a.m. I think she knows I'd just laugh. I'm fine. Nothing to "hang in there" about. Just living the dream.
I remember a while back there being a discussion of Jon's dating habits and some people being extremely adamant that he'd only dated a handful of women.
Now he's on CT saying that he's dated a *lot* of women (his words). Unfortunately lending some credence to the girlfriend of the month statement. Chances being that that's an exaggeration, maybe it wasn't too far off either.
It seems like he's either monogomous or being *really* busy.
Not saying he's a bad dad or a bad person (the way TFW is evil, and a horrible parent). Just observing.
"were awarded silver medals seems churlish, doesn’t recognize the tremendous mental and emotional energy that they expended, and dismisses — to borrow the well-worn cliche of televised sports — “the agony of defeat.” And it was a defeat."
&&&
Agree with every word. He also pointed out that other athletes at the games who didn't win teared up. I saw that too but couldn't remember their names, except for Shaun White. It's just all the pressure and years and years of your LIFE devoted to it. That's their time away from family, friends, and a normal human life, given up because their country demands nothing less than gold. A normal human response is tears when that doesn't happen.
The way Liz pulls her hoodie over her head reminds me of the criminals in my brother's neighborhood...just before they mug somebody or rob a convenience store.
I realize that it's a self protective move when she's feeling uncomfortable, but it sure does look juvenile. Although I guess it's not a lot different than Duck Lips being sloshed so often.
They've shown some Chopped Canada episodes here and it's good. I actually don't care about Dean's cheating. He is a good host, a good cook, and it's a good show. His relationship history is his business. If women want to be with him knowing his propensity to cheat, that's their business.
It's strange to me someone's relationship history gets people so bent out of shape but other history doesn't matter. Brandy, for instance, although she wasn't charged, by all witness statements negligently killed a woman in a car accident. She paid out huge sums of money in wrongful death lawsuits to the family. But no one says Brandy shouldn't be going on Dancing with the Stars or any other show because she killed someone. But if Brandy is a cheater people are outraged. There are numerous other celebs who have very questionable pasts who are treated like Hollywood royalty. Sheesh, look at Woody Allen.
Fired Up 4 Kate @MiloandJack · 4h When we ask for help, we give people the opportunity to contribute to our need! In so doing, we honor them as well. :)

I 150% agree with you. Although Milo's Kate lovin' tweets R usually consistent soundin' and lookin', sometimes there's the odd tweet like this ^^^^ that appear to be just like something Kate would write. I'm fairly sure Kate is the only person who thinks that asking for things is giving people an "opportunity" and " honoring" the person by asking. This is right in step with her twisted thinking from 7-8 years ago when she tried to convince herself that putting her kids on tv was God answering her prayers and providing for her family. All wrapped in a bow with her haughty statement regarding people who she thought were jellus of their newfound wealth- "you have not because you ask not."
I will bet 20 bales of organic hay and a flock of barn dwelling chickens that Milo is a fictional character.
I wish I could find where we were discussing this because I think it was several years ago, maybe about Ashley, but we had talked about how Kate feels that those who help her are honored and privileged to do so.
This is why she need not pay them or pay them fairly (or, feel like if they're being paid she has a right to treat them like a slave), and why she has an odd air about her like SHE is actually doing the volunteers a favor and not the other way around. You see they LOVE us and LOVE our kids so we let them come over. In later years she has made several comments that swiffer the volunteers from history or downplay their role. Maybe in her mind no one was really volunteering or helping, rather she was volunteering up her family so people could hang out with cute babies.
The comment from Milo struck me as so right on the money about what we've said about that odd dynamic.
That's why anyone who plays sports professionally does! Americans are not alone in this! Again, graciousness is best, not making excuses. :)
&&&&
No, some people don't play sports professionally just for the love of it, many of them play because they are greedy and want their millions, like Lance Armstrong. I really do not believe for one second Alex Rodriguez sits around thinking how much he just LOOOVES to toss a baseball around. He went to the lengths he did because he got greedy about the fame and the money, not for the love of the game. If you just love the game, then you would be content playing second string with not much money or attention.
No one was making excuses. An explanation is not an "excuse." Talking about how a sport is regarded in one country versus another is not an excuse, it's an explanation. Talking about how women are treated is not an excuse, it's an explanation And one we should not ignore. The team was gracious--As soon as the shock of it was over, the women shook everyone's hands and talked about how they were grateful to be there. It was the shock of the moment, nothing more. Cut them a break.
The people who are criticizing the US women's hockey team for crying after losing the game and getting the silver medal seem to forget that tears are a natural and, for many, a normal response to the letdown of the adrenaline rush of competition. It happens to a lot of people, and it isn't controllable. It's not just competition, either. It happens when people get amped up for a performance in a play or concert, too. It's hormonal. I'll leave you with the wise words of Michelle Kwan who, when criticized for not winning the gold medal in figure skating said "I didn't LOSE the gold medal, I WON the silver medal".
One of the Canadian commentators was on the womans team when they got silver and was explaining that although she was proud of what they accomplished it took her 6 months to appreciate the metal because it felt like they lost. Where as if you get bronze you have earned it. The US played their hearts out and quite frankly played better for 95% of the game but how many times has a hockey game been tied up or won in the last seconds happens all the time that's why I love watching, you have to show up for 100% of the game 95% can loose it for you...
Did Kate get her vacuum fixed? I see there is more than one Paula on the blog...LOL. I see the sheeple are starting their diversion tactics early today.

Yes, yes and YES! No snark, her strange and unheard of take on "letting" people have the privlege of helping her is fascinating. It is vitally important to her to downplay and lie about the amount of help she had/has. To justify the help she admits to, she has/had to act like she was letting those people do it, but she really didn't need them.
There is a journal entry from RHs book where she says that "Bob and Beth paid for dinner AGAIN!!!!!!!! We let them because we didn't want to ruin their joy!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I literally LOLd when I read that! They "let them?" Didn't want to ruin their "joy"?? Hahahahaha. How about the check was put on the table and Kate kicked Jon under the table, ignored it and kept on talking until Bob finally reached for it. Sounds about right. I brought up yesterday about Kate yelling at Jon for buying lunch in Philly, then accusing him of lying about it. It sounded like he was there for business purposes. I don't think she was mad that the man ate lunch, rather I think that Jon had been given strict orders to make sure whomever he was meeting picked up THE TAB. I think her fury revolved around him paying and not playing restaurant tab chicken. Think: poor Jason Hueman always getting stuck for Kate's fish in paper.

Nanny nanny boo boo. I know something you don't know, but I'm not telling. Milo is a joke, and an immature one at that. I don' think it's Kate, but I do believe it's not a woman with a family. It's a lonely elderly person in a facility somewhere with a fictitious life, a fantasy world she or he built up there. Thing is, though, that underneath that good Christian, Sunday go-to-meetin hick woman is a person who is very nasty and arrogant. A real Jekyll and Hyde. And that in itself is scary. It's kind of like the movie, Sybil...you just never know who is going to pop out.
Kate always seemed resentful of the volunteers. She acted like they took over her house, had little cliques not including her, and had the nerve to put their lunch in HER fridge. She wrote all these notes about hand washing and where to put shoes. She had to clean up after them. They were too loud.On and on .
Later she seem entitled, like it was kind of her to allow Miss Beverly to spend time with the kids while folding laundry. She called Carla to clean up messes and put away the laundry. Ashley was summoned when Kate was 'exhausted-ish." As for Nana Janet, she was downright rude to that sweet woman.
TLC suggested the carol singing and cookies to thank them. Some begrudging thank you!
Bob and Beth paid for dinner AGAIN!!!!!!!! We let them because we didn't want to ruin their joy!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
&&&
Nice find. See? It is a joy to bestow on them gifts and who is she to stop it and ruin it. Why it would be cruel of her to tell Beth to stop spoiling them, as that would take away Beth's JOY. Maybe Milo IS Kate. If she is not, she has done this weird creepy thing where she's actually TAKEN ON Kate's personality. Ahh!
I'd love to be a fly on the wall the moment Beth sat up in bed one day and realized she'd been bamboozled.
Bob and Beth paid for dinner AGAIN!!!!!!!! We let them because we didn't want to ruin their joy!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
******************************
OMG. That is exactly the 'philosophy' that Milo tweeted. It's all about ME, ME, ME. Who in the heck IS this Milo person anyway? This is no coincidence.
I can remember the tone of voice TFW would use on the show: "They love us, they love our kids." Kinda flat and matter-of-fact. Like, what else should we do but let them help us?
Bob and Beth paid for dinner AGAIN!!!!!!!! We let them because we didn't want to ruin their joy!!!!!!!!!!!!!" -------------------
Seriously, who says this with a straight face? Didn't want to ruin their joy!!!!!!!!!!! What? Really?? And the !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! show what an overdramatic lunatic she was and still is. Maybe the more she lies, the more !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! she needs.

I don't think Milo is Kate either. But I do think that Milo feels that in her need to defend Kate, she has adopted Kate's way of thinking.
She feels the "honor" of being Kate's main defender and will give Kate whatever "help" she needs. Milo doesn't understand that Kate is using her to feed her own ego.
The stupid contest was about the same thing. Do a "random" act of kindness, and you should be "honored" to do so. People need your help, but it's not about them, it's all about YOU and what you did.
Milo is so desperately in love with Kate and in need of her attention that she makes up stories to show how much they have in common, even though Kate shits on her and ignores her for days on end. That 'shout out to Milo' on Dr. Drew went right to her head. She's thinks she's Kate's BFF.
Take her Milo, she's all yours. I don't think too many people are going to put up a fight.
Brooke Burke was let go from DWTS. I think it's probably because of the new format with no results show, and no interviews with the dancers after their performance. What was left for Brooke to do?
But because Milo feels that Kate has a very close "relationship" with Brooke(Kate follows her on twitter), Milo feels it's enough to stop watching the show. Milo reacts like she thinks Kate would.
Fired Up 4 Kate @MiloandJack · 16m WOW @Kateplusmy8 U see this > @brookeburke weird day Shocking pre-season elimination #DWTS...ME. I won't be returning 2the show this season.
Milo isn't Kate-but she seems to feel that she must react like she thinks Kate would.
I think Milo's twisted and contorted herself into adopting every single thing about Kate. If Kate likes green apples so does Milo. If Kate feels it's a joy to have others give her things, so does Milo. She agrees with every single one of Kate's parenting techniques, every single one. She defends everything she does, there is no room for even admitting well maybe that wasn't wise.
I think she has cemented herself in this position because she feels that makes her somehow closer to Kate and "different" than other fans because she's JUST like Kate, they are like long lost twins, it's just serendipity. She definitely sees herself as better and different from other "fans" and thinks she "understands" Kate better than anyone. She's more connected than anyone else. This is really her own narcissism at play, thinking she is "special." When ironically I bet that Em college chick babysat the kids this summer and probably knows the family way better than Milo.
What Milo doesn't understand is that your friends will love you for who you are, not because you agree with everything out of their mouths. If Kate were a genuine person, Kate would respect Milo even if she didn't always agree with her. It's okay to have different takes on things. Even though we rarely talk about it on the blog, I am very into politics and my identity is very much wrapped up in my political beliefs, which run conservative almost libertarian, in fact I've recently considered changing my party affiliation from Republican to Libertarian. However, do I have a bunch of liberal friends, sure, tons. Do I have a bunch of friends who I have to listen to praise all the political figures I can't stand, sure! I don't have to change myself for them and they don't have to change themselves for me. That would be boring.
And quite honestly if Kate is communicating with Milo in other ways, Kate is as nuts as she is. Talk about judgment issues. Anyone can see Milo is a nut and creepy. And this woman is mother to eight children. She should be running, not walking, away from this woman. Geez, even my narcissist knew a creepy fan when she saw one and kept those people on a leash. There were children here They actually WERE close to a few fans and even had a few fans working for them over the years, but the stable and normal ones. Ones more like Barb, where they're not over the top, they're harmless. I quite liked some of them and one I still talk to to this day!
Another tweet from Milo re Brooke Burke. I think she really feels that this is the way Kate thinks and that Kate will readily agree with her. Seems she has some "man" issues too.
Fired Up 4 Kate @MiloandJack · 3m Always a given....men get older & they R deemed more valuable...women get older...BrookeBurke...& they R expendable! DWTS no different! :(
That 'shout out to Milo' on Dr. Drew went right to her head. She's thinks she's Kate's BFF. ==================
Auntie Ann--IMO, that was the worst mistake that Kate ever did. Because of that shout out, Milo will forever and ever be Kate's supporter. Kate can ignore her for weeks, but that doesn't deter Milo. Because Kate mentioned her on TV, Milo feels that she is "special" and she will fight to the death to defend her.
Unfortunately, Milo will never realize that Kate doesn't "love" her. Kate is just using her to further her own agenda. Milo feels "honored" to provide "help" to someone who could care less about her.

That shout-out also clearly demonstrated how naive Kate is when it comes to being a celebrity. She buddied up with a starstruck fan without knowing her outside of a silly twitter account. In all these years of being famous (and I choke as I write that) you would think she'd be a little more savvy about the people she confides in, if in fact she does confide her. Instead she just grabs whomever is available at the moment to nourish her narcissistic supply. Along came Milo the cling-on. I'll bet Kate regrets it too. She probably thought she'd leave her like everyone else in her life. (Waaa. Gee, I wonder why Kate)
I would laugh if in the end Milo IS the ONLY person left in her life. It would serve her right to have to share a room in the retirement home with her. And it would serve Milo right too. She'd soon tire of rubbing Kate's back ten times a day.
Unfortunately, Milo will never realize that Kate doesn't "love" her. Kate is just using her to further her own agenda. Milo feels "honored" to provide "help" to someone who could care less about her.
----- -----
I wonder if Kate realizes that Milo is nuts. Even Kate isn't that clueless. I can just see Kate reading some of the tweets, rolling her eyes, laughing hysterically at Milo, knowing that this is one insane nutjob. Kate doesn't say anything because if Milo turns on her, there could be hell to pay. I just can't believe that Kate doesn't recognize her as being one crazy lady or guy. I would be embarrassed beyond belief to have a middle-age woman (or old man) lusting after me, peering in my virtual windows and pretending that this person is a part of my family. Milo is just too far up Kate's butt to know that she's the clown on Twitter. I think that even many of the sheeple know that she's bats$$t crazy, but just let her alone in her little fantasy world to live out her obsession in her own little place.
If she has a family, I imagine that they are happy that she has someone like Kate to pester, and therefore, they do nothing to help her with this celebrity worship syndrome. At least they can live some of their time in peace. Either that, or the whole family is as crazy as she is, and don't recognize that she has some very disturbing issues going on there.
I am very into politics and my identity is very much wrapped up in my political beliefs, which run conservative almost libertarian, in fact I've recently considered changing my party affiliation from Republican to Libertarian. ----- -----
Thumbs up, admin. Come on over to our side. The more the merrier. We always have kegs of Rumspringa on hand!
Milo's not that bright. And she's very band-wagony. It's like she heard something about how women in the entertainment have more difficulty getting work than Robert Redford and she went with it. Like others said Brooke was let go because the format of the show changed so there really wasn't much use for her anymore. Not to mention, Brooke was terrible! She asked dumb questions and was obnoxious. I remember from the recaps. Maybe it just wasn't working out anymore. Man or woman if you're not really doing it anymore you're out.
It's that going to be her newest reason why Kate's not on T.V.? She's pushing 40 and expendable?
Fired Up 4 Kate@MiloandJack·16 mins @lovemedietcoke HaHa...best U don't because I RESPECT confidentiality! :) End of the road there....
Milo -- you read here. You've reached YOUR end of the road. You can't get any farther up Kate's rear end. Enough is enough. If Milo knows so dang much, then why does she keep pestering her when Kate is MIA, wondering where she is, what she's doing, what's for dinner, unmercifully begging her for info if Kate announces a surprise is in the works? She knows nothing about Kate's life...she knows it and Kate knows it. The more she tweets that they are so close, the more it just makes everything she says not believable. If she and Kate were communicating in so many ways, she wouldn't have to get herself so bent out of shape when Kate is on Twitter silent. She would use her phone, call her, or DM her, and then report back that Kate is fine. It has nothing to do with "confidentiality," and everything to do with the fact that Milo has absolutely no idea what is going on. If she knew, she'd have to announce it on Twitter because she can't keep her mouth shut. She has to impress the fans with her close relationship with Kate. Heck, she's never even met Kate, but tries to make the fans believe that the two of them are joined at the hip.
Remember when Milo made such a monumental event about picking up the new dog, tweeting to Kate that the dog's name was Katie Irene? Kate was not impressed. Milo was giddy to the point of going off the edge.I honestly thought Milo was drunk tweeting. Kate didn't care about the new puppy. She never asked about the dog and I think this was not the reaction Milo had anticipated. It's a blessing (for Kate) that Milo lives in the Deep South. She'll have plenty of warning when it's time to hide the bunny.
They are both narcissists. What happens when narcissists get together? Does one become submissive? It's such a fascinating psychological/sociological study.
Steve Kaufmann @Stevekaufmann 2h Kate Gosselin is reportedly suing her ex-husband Jon for "hacking" her computer to get private information. And by "hacking" I mean "using"
I see Kate's latest tweet is her attempt to "foreshadow" and tease her fans, that she and the great hairstylist were "making plans".
As for the Women's USA hockey team...heck Id be crying too if I had been on that team and we made it to the last 3 1/2 minutes with a 2 point lead, and then got usurped! They didnt have a whole game or even a whole period to come to the realization the Gold had slipped away. It happened all under 5 minutes, and the LAST 5 minutes. That was an upset, and if they were still emotional about it at the podium, that just shows their high level of committment and the resulting disappointment.
If the USA women hit the podium and went " Oh well, we got Silver, thats all we wanted!" , then all of USA would be up in arms about that!
Its a go figure..damned if you do..damned if do not!
Besides, I see those men crying when they lose the Stanley cup! And they get a shot at it every.single.year.
That was a spectacular comeback for our Canadian Women. They were not playing as well as the USA, but in true Saskatchewan Style, they made the ( what we call for our RoughRiders)...a 4th quarter comback! :)
..and that makes for good hockey! Sorry USA ladies.
oh and btw... women absolutely do NOT get the same level of funding for sports as men do! Not across the board. The only place female hockey players in Canada get to go when they leave Midget, is to College or to the Olympics. NO provincial teams have succeeded because they do not get the funding and the girls themselves can not afford to pick up the cost!

Chances being that that's an exaggeration, maybe it wasn't too far off either. ****** I remember the most recent discussion. My opinion was and remains: He's single. He is in search of a relationship. If that means he dated a string of women before having a longer term relationship with Ellen, then after they broke up, he dated some more women before settling into a longer term relationship with Liz - then that's what it means. Not sure what the big deal is.
I will bet 20 bales of organic hay and a flock of barn dwelling chickens that Milo is a fictional character. ******* I will not take that bet, because I am pretty sure she's a fictional character too. That tweet was just too much like Kate-speak.
Yes, I don't think anyone has ever disputed Jon dated. How it's been spun is equating those dates as relationships. That's unfair.
Jon was quite clear he had to be married to Kate then date several women before he finally found Liz, the love of his life. He did not say he had several relationships, he said he had several DATES.
If you find the love of your life first without dating around, good for you. Not everyone is so lucky. If anything, that just suggests you are someone who is rather discerning and picky about who will be your partner and children's stepmother, and not marrying the first person who happens to knock on your door. Even Dr. Jenn says Liz fulfills a lot of his needs and that they've made huge progress. The other housemates said they LOVED Jon and Liz, they actually used those words. The only thing Jenn is picking on is how she talks to him, Liz SAID she knows it's a problem, and they're working on that. Dr. Jenn didn't hesitate to tell Kelsey to leave Ghost, so it's not like she's afraid to tell a couple to break up if they should break up.
I'm not crazy about some of Liz's issues but this is who Jon fell in love with, he made it crystal clear she is wonderful with his children which is really important, and as long as they're both willing to work on them I wish them the best.
Interstitial Cystitis? I have that too. I was in severe pain for a few years until I finally thank God got some relief from Neurontin and physical therapy. Yes, it's a very debilitating condition. Your poor mom.

Thank you, localyocul. Yes, I think that is it. I know it is cystitis. You can't function when you have it. My mother could of had a basketball scholarship. She wanted to be an English professor. But she worked till she couldn't anymore and stayed home and took care of me and my brother. And the pain marched on. She would haul veggies from my great grandparents garden and can all summer. Made the best clear pickles, ever. I miss those. Did everything. Plus did my paternal grandmother's laundry because she was too stingy to buy a washer. She had 5 other grown kids that could of helped but no. Mother was the one that wasn't liked. Don't know why because she would work for 2 days making food for the family holiday dinners, Mothers Day.
My aunt would only make 2 bowls the night before a dinner. one potato salad and one cole slaw. And lap up my mothers chicken and dressing just like the all the kids did. None of the brothers and sisters on my dad's side ever told my mother thank you or do you need help with cooking, just let me know? But, the kids all did. They loved her chicken and dressing and especially the mac and cheese.
I could understand about the comment I wrote about TCFW oohing and aaahing about her latest massage being outrageous and over the top if I wrote, I HOPE she is oohing and aahing and enjoying her rare treat!
But that is not what I said. I said, I hope and pray that she is not and IF she was doing it. I have read posts where posters have written possible scenarios, so I am not the first. I find it absolutely horrible that she would allow the boys to massage her. It is repulsive and disgusting. Look at what possibly they will have to face Monday morning at school. Just because what she makes them do and then tweets to the world about it.
You know TCFW always says, people who meet me, just love me or like me. We all know TCFW twists her words and meanings. I was thinking the reason maybe why she does this is because almost everyone that meets JON likes him instead of the cold fish in paper. lol
Wendy Williams, for one. She knew before what St. Tony told her about TCFW. So when she met Jon and talked to him and saw how authentic he was, she was impressed. Especially when Jon said if he needed more money he would work more or get another job, something to that effect.
They've shown some Chopped Canada episodes here and it's good.
====
I don't mind McDermott on Chopped Canada, but I won't watch it if that dang condescending chef Michael Smith is judging. He's another narcissist whose celebrity has gone to his head.
I still prefer the original U.S. version of Chopped with Ted Allen.
I picture Milo as an older man/woman in some type of nursing home with nothing better to do than hang out on the computer all day. S/he talks about having a life but I think that's all it is. Talk. Probably has an alert set to notify him/her when anything about Kate is printed on the web.
I agree. The Chopped with Ted Allen is the best. I can't watch Cutthroat Kitchen because of the host. I don't know who he is, but he makes my skin crawl for some reason. If that show follows Chopped, I reach for my remote as fast as I can because I don't want to hear him for one second. Isn't it funny how some people really bother you like that?
Mel 39 -- She also didn't honor her husband or her marriage vows. She doesn't honor her mother and father. She doesn't honor her children. She doesn't honor her God.

Nice find. See? It is a joy to bestow on them gifts and who is she to stop it and ruin it. Why it would be cruel of her to tell Beth to stop spoiling them, as that would take away Beth's JOY ****** Kate thought that Bob might buy them a HOUSE, and that Jon would "pay him back or something". Yes, she would have let Bob and Beth do that too. I'm betting Bob offered to help Jon and Kate out so that they could get into a bigger house, and Kate thought he was offering to buy a house for them. Too bad Bob and Beth couldn't have had the joy of doing that little favor for Jon and Kate.
That 'shout out to Milo' on Dr. Drew went right to her head. She's thinks she's Kate's BFF. ***** I've never seen another "celeb" give shout outs to their tweetie bffs. Kate's singled out several tweeties- remember Patty Pie? She was the tweetie du jour at one time.

Me celeb did it once to the president of her fan club, I think she mentioned her by name on some DVD commentary if I recall. The context of why was okay, it wasn't just a random shout out, but t remember it happening so vividly because I remember thinking great the phone is going to be ringing off the hook about that (president only had the business number but it was routed to ring in the private residence) and I was always supposed to answer the phone if I was around and someone else wasn't picking up. Boy did it go to her head and the phone and emails and gifts did ramp up like crazy.
She never did that again.
The difference is I really don't think Kate learned from her shout out to Milo or sees anything dangerous about toying around with her when she feels like doing so.
I believe it to be 100% true. That does not mean that Milo understands the concept and understands where it applies and where it doesn't. That does not mean it's not a bandwagon she hopped abroad hoping to get a thumbs up you go girl from Kate. Bandwagons are sometimes TRUE, it doesn't make it not a bandwagon or the popular thing to say.
Sometimes, you're just FIRED. Being too old does not apply in all situations, and I don't believe for a second Brooke was fired because she was old. Nothing suggests that. Half their contestants are 40 plus and they've even had many women in their 50's and 60's, they have nothing against someone who is not 22.
I think she has cemented herself in this position because she feels that makes her somehow closer to Kate and "different" than other fans because she's JUST like Kate ****** Milo is a self-appointed gatekeeper, and valiantly shepherds the flock. It's her duty as Kate's protector, and Kate knows it and even fosters it, knowing that this affection will forever be unrequited.
I agree. The Chopped with Ted Allen is the best. I can't watch Cutthroat Kitchen because of the host. I don't know who he is, but he makes my skin crawl for some reason.

That is Alton Brown and I have never seen anyone change as much as he has. Not only physically, but it's like he got a whole different personality since he lost weight. I used to love watching his "Good Eats" show but now I'm turned off by him on Cutthroat Kitchen, too. Feasting on Asphalt was a really good segment.
IMO the Food Network is not nearly as good as it used to be, at least here in Canada. It's all about competition instead of good cooking. They have chefs performing like circus seals.
I think Julia Child would be appalled at some of the ways FN plays with its food.
Milo is a self-appointed gatekeeper, and valiantly shepherds the flock. It's her duty as Kate's protector, and Kate knows it and even fosters it, knowing that this affection will forever be unrequited.

Yep. When Kate's backrub is finished, she turns off the light and goes to sleep. No reciprocating backrub for Milo.
Not to mention, Brooke was terrible! She asked dumb questions and was obnoxious. I remember from the recaps ******* I never understood how Brooke kept that cohost position for so many years. Sure, she can wear gowns like nobody else and always looks stunning. Then she opens her mouth and flatlines. You know who she reminds me of? Katie Lee, Billy Joe's ex wife. Lee is just so monotone and one dimensional.
When I read about Brooke being let go from DWTS, it reminded me of conversations we've had here. You never know when you're going to get canned in Hollyweird, and you just might here about it in the tabloids! Kate never quite got the concept and seemed to think that ending her show would always be her decision- you know, when the kids turned 18, she'd think about stepping out of the spotlight. I remember Kate's shocked and blank look when Julie Chen asked about if she was prepared for Kate +8 to end, because it was going to happen, it was just a matter of when. Kate was speechless, as if she just couldn't wrap her head around TLC canning her. Kate also seemed to be a bit outraged that TLC ended the show. It's always "too soon" to stop filming in Kate's eyes.
I feel for Brooke, but she couldn't NOT see something like this coming, with all the downsizing going on at DWTS.
Someone commented saying, poor TFW must wish she'd never engaged that number one fan. But rest assured, TFW does nothing unless she's getting something in return. Do you think she'd continue to communicate with the person at all if there wasn't something in it for her? My guess is there's a $100 gift card a-comin for next month's birthday, and 6 more gifts for the tups' birthday in May. For the smallest of investments -- replying to one out of of every100 of that fan's tweets -- TFW benefits.
BTW, the fan must be in her glory today with all of us talking about her. You better believe she hangs on every word from this "cesspool of hate."
Oh, and insinuating that Brooke is getting a little long in the tooth for DWTS, are you kidding me? Brooke is young and gorgeous, but her talent was always lacking. Tom Bergeron can run circles around her,and usually does on those live shows. He is the glue and the rock that holds each production together. Tom has presence, a really sharp, quick wit and WARMTH that's palpable across the screen. So, I hope Milo isn't burning any bras over this.
I think Julia Child would be appalled at some of the ways FN plays with its food. ***** St. Julia of the Kitchen never suffered fools. Although I could never connect to Alton Brown's "energy", I did think that Good Eats was a unique show that offered valuable information. I still go to his recipes for their consistently good results and for fortifying my cooking acumen from a scientific standpoint (which is why I dive into my Cook's Illustrated each month). Alton can be enigmatic and-this sounds weird, I know- he just doesn't resonate with any sexual energy when he interacts with ANYONE.
In my relationships with some celebrities (real, not imaginary as in Milo's case...and not D-listers such as Kate), I found that celebrities who have uber fans learn that there is a fine line in dealing with such people. There have been fans who, if they are lucky enough to meet their idol, believe that the celebrity will come to have an intimate relationship with them. They slowly, but deliberately, do whatever is in their power to gain favor with them. This may involve coming to as many shows as they can, bringing food, gifts, trying to worm their way into their lives. They try to make friends with crew members, or the fan club president, or anyone the celebrity might know, in order to get close to the celebrity. Once they become a familiar face, there's no stopping them. They expect tickets to the shows, they want backstage passes, they think that they deserve to hang out with the celebrities. Even if they aren't acknowledged, it doesn't deter them. In fact, they become more obsessed, convincing themselves that the celebrity is just busy. They will defend that celebrity to the ends of the earth. Their idol can do no wrong.
The celebrity has to draw the line somewhere. Sometimes this is difficult. They can throw bones, but they have to be very careful how many they throw. Kate's big mistake was mentioning Milo's name on the show. Of course, Kate, being still wet behind the ears in her sudden "fame," didn't stop and think what the consequences to this might have been. Like it or not, she got Milo. Now she's stuck with her.
Fans many times live a very lonely life, having no outside interest other than to follow the celebrity. Sometimes you feel sorry for them. I've seen this happen, and I think that this is the case with Milo. As often as she claims she has hobbies, a family, and community involvement, I doubt it very much. I wonder, though, if she unknowingly uses Kate as a way to cope with her own insecurities. When she goes to the store and sees a tab story with negative headlines, does she pick it up, yell to anyone who will listen that none of it is true because she knows Kate -- Kate is her best friend? Does she anticipate that the response from those around her will be one of awe? They ask if she actually knows Kate. Of course she does! Then she gets puffed up, and carries on about her relationship with her. It's her shining moment. For a few brief minutes she's the center of attention. Kate's on the bottom rung of celebrity status, but that doesn't matter. The fact is that Milo knows Kate (or so she claims) and therefore, Milo's important.
Kate has no idea how to handle someone with Celebrity Worship. This comes from years of experience with these fans, and while I've seen some who get tired of being ignored and just move on to other people and things, there are those who will not accept not being "the chosen one." It happens, and in this case, Kate better know how to handle it. She's not going to be able to pretend it's not happening. It doesn't work that way.
I have a question about Twitter that I'm hoping someone here can answer. I've noticed that occasionally tweets start out with a . (a period) placed before the person's name. Does this mean something, send the tweet somewhere special, etc? For example: .@twittername Someone sent a string of tweets to TFW today like this and I've noticed it a few times in the past, also. Thanks!
I remember years ago Kathie Lee Gifford acknowledged one of her biggest fans during her show with Regis. The woman was sitting in the front row & agreed that she hadn't missed one of KLG's appearances, even following her to other cities. This was a young woman, who said her husband was okay with her obsession.
Made me wonder what he was getting up to while she was drooling over her idol.
Nice to see you posting LoveMyGrandsons! Congratulations Ex-Nurse...grand babies are the best!
Wow that is so fascinating! Uber fans fascinate me too. Most fans are just normal people so I'm not really talking about them, lovely nice people who would approach celeb in public, or show up speaking engagements and things, are nice and polite and then leave. But then there are the Milos of the world. My few experiences with it was mostly just hearing them talk about the fan and the things they have done BUT some French fans came to the gate and rang the call box once. It was really unnerving. Her husband went out and dealt with them. I don't know what was said, but they left. We didn't have to call the cops or anything. I found that so uncomfortable, I wanted to cry, but everyone else seemed to sort of just get over it pretty fast.
I also found fans will turn on each other in a heartbeat, keep secrets from each other, etc., it's very high school. For instance if celeb agrees to do an interview for one fan web site and then that gets out, all the other fan web sites will trash the first web site then descend on celeb like vultures demanding their interview too. Like they are a possession to fight over and not a real person with feelings and professional and personal obligations.
I'm catching up on some old Olympics luge and wouldn't you know it they showed an old press conference where Mellisa Hollingworth of Canada cried real tears at the Vancouver Olympics when she did not get a medal. "It was heartbreaking," she said.
It's normal to be emotional after four years of hard work. And Canada did it too. How quickly they forget. :)
There's actually been research that shows that bronze medal winners are happier than those who get silver, regardless of the circumstances. See the following: http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetorch/2012/08/03/157835076/would-you-rather-win-silver-or-bronze-be-careful-what-you-wish-for
It seems that the silver medalist compares him/her self to the gold medalist and thinks he/she has "lost", where the bronze medalist looks at all those people who didn't get any medal and feels lucky in comparison.
There are circumstances that can make this "silver disappointment" worse: - being the "favorite" to win before the competition starts - being in a sport where there are games for gold/silver and bronze/nothing
For the US hockey women, there was the additional factor of being so close to a victory, then having it snatched away at the last minute, so of course they were disappointed.
Incidentally, Brian Orser, the figure skater who took silver in Calgary in 1988 behind Brian Boitano, is sensitive about his silver to this day. Ironically, this year he coached to male figure skater who took the gold ahead of the Canadian favorite, Patrick Chan. It certainly didn't help Brian O. that Canada's leading paper printed a headline of "Orser loses!".
On the other hand, Kurt Browning was a very successful Canadian figure skater (several world titles) who never won an Olympic medal of any color, and seems to have taken it very well. He was a commentator this year. When his co-commentator asked him, "What does a skater have to do to win at the Olympics" he replied "You're asking Me? ", then proceeded to say what you have to avoid, that he hadn't avoided, to achieve Olympic success. One thing Browning had going for him is that he started competing in the shadow of Orser, so didn't have nearly as much outside pressure to succeed until he was older and more ready to deal with it.
For those who use Redbox they're offering all kinds of freebies for the next 10 days. Text "big" to 727-272 every morning and you'll get something. Great way to catch up on some of the Oscar noms for FREE!

Missed you! I hope you, DH, and of course your dear grandsons are doing well!
Mel's post above about asking the boys to take care of her when she's old ... and all Kate's massage tweets ...
That's why she had kids ... to take care of her ... and they HAVE been taking care of her ...
FINANCIALLY since the younger kids were two ... and EMOTIONALLY since the divorce.
The familial roles in that house are SO messed up.

I totally agree.

&&&

When we ask for help, we give people the opportunity to contribute to our need!

Liz is completely classless. Why does Jon want to marry her? Does he still have such low self esteem from Kate?
That's why anyone who plays sports professionally does! Americans are not alone in this! Again, graciousness is best, not making excuses. :)
&&&&

Wll said Bitchy Pants @18.

Nice find.

I just don't think Kate is bright enough to catfish with Milo.
She would be the type who would mix up what name she is signed in with and tweet something as Kate from Milo. Not possible.

Fired Up 4 Kate @MiloandJack · 16m
WOW @Kateplusmy8 U see this > @brookeburke weird day Shocking pre-season elimination #DWTS...ME.
And that's my arm chair analysis.
Another tweet from Milo re Brooke Burke. I think she really feels that this is the way Kate thinks and that Kate will readily agree with her. Seems she has some "man" issues too.

Auntie Ann--IMO, that was the worst mistake that Kate ever did. Because of that shout out, Milo will forever and ever be Kate's supporter. Kate can ignore her for weeks, but that doesn't deter Milo. Because Kate mentioned her on TV, Milo feels that she is
"special" and she will fight to the death to defend her.
Unfortunately, Milo will never realize that Kate doesn't "love" her. Kate is just using her to further her own agenda. Milo feels "honored" to provide "help" to someone who could care less about her.
TFW used the word honor a lot…
She was honored to be on DWTS
M&C were honored to be on the Today show
She was honored to guest host on The View
She’s honored that the baby watch was entitled Will & Kate plus 1, emulating *her* show title
She had the honor of meeting Rod Dixon
She was honored to be the featured runner in “Runner’s World”
She was honored to be invited to Brad Garrett’s opening in LV
She honored to participate in Steve Irwin Day
She honored the life of their fish
She tries to honor the kids’ food requests
She honors their costume requests for Halloween
She honored the kids’ request for doll diapers
She’s honored to send the sextuplets marching off to school for the first time
She is a contract honorer (but does not honor court orders; see visitation)

If you have not been a Fallon fan, record it and find a high school junior or senior to watch it with, or a college student. That's how I got into out, watching it with my dd.

I think I am the last person on the plant to have discovered Jimmy Fallon, but I just adore him. He can do EVERYTHING! Sing, dance, do impersonations, everything. He is so cute and so wholesome (usually! ha!) But I saw him and Justin Timberlake last night and loved every minute of it!!

-----
I wonder if Kate realizes that Milo is nuts.

Not to mention DWTS is probably responsible for giving more work to the 50 plus female crowd than all of Hollywood put together.

@lovemedietcoke HaHa...best U don't because I RESPECT confidentiality! :) End of the road there....

It's that going to be her newest reason why Kate's not on T.V.? She's pushing 40 and expendable?

I remember a while back there being a discussion of Jon's dating habits and some people being extremely adamant that he'd only dated a handful of women.
Now he's on CT saying that he's dated a *lot* of women (his words). Unfortunately lending some credence to the girlfriend of the month statement. Chances being that that's an exaggeration, maybe it wasn't too far off either.
******
I remember the most recent discussion. My opinion was and remains: He's single. He is in search of a relationship. If that means he dated a string of women before having a longer term relationship with Ellen, then after they broke up, he dated some more women before settling into a longer term relationship with Liz - then that's what it means. Not sure what the big deal is.
Single man dates! Not quite headline stuff.

I will not take that bet, because I am pretty sure she's a fictional character too.
I'm not crazy about some of Liz's issues but this is who Jon fell in love with, he made it crystal clear she is wonderful with his children which is really important, and as long as they're both willing to work on them I wish them the best.
localyocul,

I stand by my comment.

Band-wagony? That happens to be true.
&&&
I think she has cemented herself in this position because she feels that makes her somehow closer to Kate and "different" than other fans because she's JUST like Kate

Yep. When Kate's backrub is finished, she turns off the light and goes to sleep. No reciprocating backrub for Milo.
Not to mention, Brooke was terrible! She asked dumb questions and was obnoxious. I remember from the recaps
*******
I never understood how Brooke kept that cohost position for so many years.

St.
Regarding admin's armchair diagnosis -- spot on!
For example: .@twittername
Someone sent a string of tweets to TFW today like this and I've noticed it a few times in the past, also. Thanks!
Very interesting, this celebrity worship.

@Kateplusmy8 kate did you use P ampers on all your kids?
Not sure about that, but it's been reported that she used wooden spoons on all of them.

Absolutely fascinating!
RE US hockey team's reaction to silver medal.
There's actually been research that shows that bronze medal winners are happier than those who get silver, regardless of the circumstances. See the following:
http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetorch/2012/08/03/157835076/would-you-rather-win-silver-or-bronze-be-careful-what-you-wish-for
It seems that the silver medalist compares him/her self to the gold medalist and thinks he/she has "lost", where the bronze medalist looks at all those people who didn't get any medal and feels lucky in comparison.
There are circumstances that can make this "silver disappointment" worse:
- being the "favorite" to win before the competition starts
- being in a sport where there are games for gold/silver and bronze/nothing
The recap is up! Another fun one.
