In an interview with E!'s Alicia Quarles Tuesday and Wednesday, Jon says he wants full custody of all eight children until Kate submits to a psychiatric evaluation. He says Kate controls the children and "instills fear" in them. Jon also seems to be implying that he thinks last month's People interview with the twins, in which the girls spoke negatively about his dating history, was actually Kate's statements "edited" to make it look like the twins said them. It made me sad when Jon said that some of the kids don't want to live together. That makes me think that the divide and conquer thing is working and that the kids in power may be bullying others or that the less-than kids may be feeling left out when Kate plays favorites. This is just tragic. Eight kids should have a warm and loving relationship and should feel love and security from knowing that only seven other people in the world really know what it's like to be one of the Gosselin eight. Instead there is very tragic division. It is sick. It is wrong. It is terrible to participate in the destruction of what should be a beautiful relationship that will be the LONGEST relationship they will EVER have in their life. F-U Kate.
Jon's reaction to Mady and Cara's interview was that of a loving and normal parent and was the reaction of the vast majority of the public. Horrified. Unable to believe any loving mother would put their children in that position. Anger--that was the last straw.
I'm glad he clarified that yes he sees Mady and Cara and that he is trying to be very careful and respectful of their emotions. I'm glad he has recent photos PROVING the twins spend time with him, one of Mady even hugging him. I just don't think the regular visits are going on, he mentioned he shows up at their school. The sheeple and Kate love to paint a picture they are estranged from him but he showed the photos to prove otherwise, to prove the lying, to prove the alienation.

Yes how dare people ask why a celebrity thinks the law doesn't apply to them.
I'm afraid she is REQUIRED to make the names of the winners available if asked, by law. A contest is also treated similar to a contract where you make an offer of a contest and people "accept" the offer, so she cannot legally just not follow through with it. That said I doubt anyone cares to call the FBI over this but it's just indicative of how she never thinks anything through.

@Jon; Years ago we here (coz we know everything and are quite perfect - snark) advised you to work a job, get a home, go to church, keep lines of communication open with the children's teachers, get your own therapy etc. If you have done even 1/2 those things, the court will take you seriously, which is really what you are after.
Even if Jon is not awarded physical custody, I think Kate will be put on strict notice that her actions, her attitudes and behaviors are being watched by those that have authority to smack her down. She was being a journalist. She asked follow up questions instead of just letting him say something and then letting it go. When Jon was unclear or hedging, she pressed him. She did not let him get away with being vague, she pinned him down. She helped guide him into being crystal clear. In the process of doing what a good journalist does she actually helped him clarify his points and get a clear message out there.
That is what a journalist does, gets that story nice and clear. I am so sick of the state of T.V. journalism. She was a breath of fresh air. And yes I'd love to see her tackle TFW. She'd have to wipe her off the floor.

And you know it's not even just that there is no talent or hook here, although that's a huge part of it.
Even if they WERE talented, it's Jon. He's ticked. And he's ready to sue. And he's ready to cause controversy. And he's ready to go on the attack against anyone who dares to try to put his kids on T.V. And he's got a red phone to great attorneys and family law court and he's going to put them through grief if they try.
No network is going to take that on. TLC took it on because they had a preexisting relationship with the family and significant money and time and so on already invested. A new network doesn't have any incentive to start something up. There are dozens of other reality stars they could go after, they don't need this crap. They don't need the liability. The last thing they need is for the public to sway in Jon's favor and hate them for defying his wishes for the best interest of his kids. It's lunacy to take such a risk, especially since most likely only little cable networks would be willing to even consider her at this point.

I agree. She knew what she was doing, and she did it in a firm, but subtle way. If something wasn't clear, she repeated what he said without putting words into his mouth. She let him talk without interrupting, and made certain that he wasn't misunderstood. Good job.
I wonder if the sheeple had their damage control meeting. I was trying to think what spin they would put on the custody issue, and I'm waiting for someone to make the allegation that Jon is doing this for money only...that he wants access to the kids money because he is broke, and if they live with him, he will be in a better position to take it.

Thanks everyone for you support. Altho not feeling great, I am feeling better. Just want to let people know that at no time have I been concerned that my breathing was compromised. I am able to breath quite deeply and clearly. My chest muscles are sore from all of last nights coughing. I do have an inhaler I was using yesterday also.

She's hated him since he refused to continue the show, thus forcing her to do it on her own. She's never stopped hating him. This is just a continuation of the hate that began way back when. She will never get over it, and the slow seething is going to do her in. That's one of the reasons she needs to see a psychologist...for the sake of her children. I think Jon did great and so did the interviewer. He answered all questions honestly and didn't mind being pushed. He wants to get the truth out there and isn't going to take any more from TFW.
She is toast! She has finally burned her last bridge and she isn't going to rise from the ashes like a phoenix, unscathed from this whole ordeal. I LOVE it!

It's freaking 2:25a.m. and I can't sleep. I DVR'd the interview but I haven't watched it yet but I'm assuming Guiliana Rancic did the interview as I've seen her name pop up a couple of times here. Did you know that Guiliana and her family moved to this country when she was seven and she didn't speak a word of English. She thought they were just coming for a vacation. She learned English by watching TV. She got her Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Maryland and her Master's Degree in Journalism from American University in Washington, D.C. After college she was a political reporter in D.C. before moving to LA. I believe she's also head of the news division at E!. E! did a True Hollywood Story on her once that I watched. So even though she's on a tabloid news show, she does have the credentials. Oh, and think about this. She was born in Italy, didn't speak a word of English when she came here and she still speaks better than TCFW.

No...Jon has know this from the start of the show. He tried to end it years ago and NO ONE you listen to him. TFW had the attorneys and Jon had nothing. No high paid attorneys....no credibility in the media. The man had nothing. Now he does. I hope he shuts up now....he has made the tide change. He needs to go to court and fight for the kids

That's true, but depends on the psychologist. I've heard of some who truly fall for their "act". Hopefully it'll be one who is an expert on narcissism and parental alienation. Also, if it comes back with a scathing evaluation, or she's told she DOES have a.b or c type of mental disorder, do you actually think she'll BELIEVE it? Nope! You don't get just how "special" they think they are, how intelligent they KNOW are. Somebody with certification, with degrees is going to diagnose her? Let's hope she does get the diagnosis and the courts do give him primary custody, it's the only way to end or at least try and curb her abuse.

Meagler, glad to hear you are feeling better. I'm not caught up, so someone may have already suggested this, but high doses of Vitamin D and Vitamin C as well as black elderberry syrup are very good.
Usually a cold or flu is indicative of sub-optimal Vitamin D levels. Keeping your D above 90 is a cancer preventative, additionally.
I've been a D fan since D fans weren't cool, lol. Raising my D to about 99 (top of the range) helped me recover from a neuromuscular issue I dealt with 10 years ago. In fact, when my D drops below 85, my symptoms return, but with high D I stay symptom free.
With D--always aim for top of the range, not just "in" range at 32. Many doctors are not aware of the increased health benefits with higher D levels.
OK I just answered all my questions by rewatching the interview. I don't think that's a recent picture of C and M though. C looks shorter and younger. Jon and Liz started dating in May 2012 according to a google search; the pic could be as much as 1 1/2 years old.

As for the comment on the E website - I'd take it with a grain of salt. It's one comment among how many others that say he has a great local reputation and unless there are more and from a reputable/reliable source I'm not going to put much faith into it's accuracy.

Someone up thread mentioned that perhaps the reason Collin may not see Jon is because he may be worried that if he and his brothers do their chicken chores Thursday after school and then if Jon picks them up at school on Friday and they do not return until Sunday night that the chickens will not be fed or watered for three days and they may all die.
I would not put it past Kate to put this thought in his head. In fact I'm sure she would make sure that everyone knows that she would not take care of the chickens if all 8 were to go to Jon's for the weekend and this is especially true during the winter when there is snow on the ground.
I have 20+ chickens and trust me when I say that my flock is not going to keep me home if I want to go away for a few days. I have multiple feeders so there is a constant food supply and the same thing applies to water containers. For the record my chickens are free range which means they can and do leave their chicken coop daily and search for bugs all day but they are fed chicken food too.
I live in Northern CA and it does not snow here where I live but it can get down to below 32 degrees at night so it can freeze the water. But it warms up every day enough so the ice melts -- I have never had to break ice in any of my water containers although I have been know to kick a plastic container as I walk by to help the thin layer of ice break up.
But if the ice were to be a problem I know that there are water heaters that I can buy -- battery operated ones if there is no electricity available near the water container -- so I would not have to worry about my chickens having no water available if I were to go away for a weekend.
As for the eggs, this time of year there should not be a big egg production going on and even if some hens are still laying, the eggs are not going to spoil in just a few days especially during a PA winter. But if it was deemed to be a problem then I'm sure that every other weekend they could just throw any eggs that they find Sunday night when they get home from seeing their dad.

How much of this is planted, stirred, instigated, manipulated, and fostered by TFW as a storyline for Growing Up Gosselin? How do young kids even get the notion that they could live separate from a sibling they bicker with? If Kate didnt start this in them, how in the world have both of those parents let the infighting come to this point? Kate's philosophy of "Duke it out, dont bother me with your arguments" has led to kids that have no skills for sharing, negotiating, tolerating, each other. Probably because their mother has none of those skills either, never has, never will and doesnt acknowledge it even applies to her.

Seems like Jon's interview hit a nerve, and she just has to point out that the 8 are home with her due to a snow day, and it's all "happy happy"--"we love the snow".
I couldn't believe it when Jon said he basically takes the children who come out of the house for custody when he picks them up. That's total BS. If it were me I would want every child I was to have custody with that day to come with me. These children are too young to make a decision like that on their own. I have a feeling Kate brainwashes, threatens, lays guilt trips, and punishes her children over going with their father rather than stay with the needy bitch she is. She also talks way too many grown up things to these kids. They should not be carrying adult burdens like she lays on them. Isn't she good friends with the farmer? I would imagine that she could talk him into babysitting the chickens if she were gone. Who takes care of them when the family is on vacation? Who would care for them if they were away filming? I'm not so sure that the chickens are the reason for the kids not being with their father on custody time. That excuse is not going to hold any water in front of a judge.

I don't think that there were that many of them to go through. I think she's concerned about the legality of it, still trying to figure out what to do, plus vetting the not-a-contestants may prove an issue. What if she chose a hater as the winner? Not sure how you missed it, he talked about it quite a bit. He says he does see them, he mentioned that he just came to their school the other day. He said they do have their time together. They also text. He said they know he loves them and he knows they love him. He said he wants to be respectful of their feelings. He said some other things about it I can't remember at the moment. What I understood from it is that he sees and is involved with his twins it's just not on the regular visitation schedule that is set up. This is exactly what he said in the Dad's article, that he and the twins sort of have their special days away from the schedule. He's being as clear as can be. For a very long time, the twins have not been in compliance with the custody schedule. However, during that time, he has made an effort to be involved with their school, text, and see them.
The photos actually weren't that old. They looked pretty recent.

Her friend took the time to do something special for the Wounded Warriors. The sheeple took the time to write that all up, take a photo, and enter the not-a-contest. It is completely unacceptable that it's gone on this long with no direction from Kate at all what the heck could possibly be going on. This person has every right to be furious. Not sure how you missed it, he talked about it quite a bit. He says he does see them, he mentioned that he just came to their school the other day. He said they do have their time together. They also text. He said they know he loves them and he knows they love him. He said he wants to be respectful of their feelings. He said some other things about it I can't remember at the moment. What I understood from it is that he sees and is involved with his twins it's just not on the regular visitation schedule that is set up. This is exactly what he said in the Dad's article, that he and the twins sort of have their special days away from the schedule. He's being as clear as can be. For a very long time, the twins have not been in compliance with the custody schedule. However, during that time, he has made an effort to be involved with their school, text, and see them.
The photos actually weren't that old. They looked pretty recent.

Even if Jon is not awarded physical custody, I think Kate will be put on strict notice that her actions, her attitudes and behaviors are being watched by those that have authority to smack her down. Her friend took the time to do something special for the Wounded Warriors. The sheeple took the time to write that all up, take a photo, and enter the not-a-contest. It is completely unacceptable that it's gone on this long with no direction from Kate at all what the heck could possibly be going on. This person has every right to be furious. The cruise. That was her just enjoying the talk, the fantasy, the cat and mouse game with her fans all winter and spring. Something to pass the time for her. We found out later she had no intentions of stepping foot on that ship unless X amount of people signed up. I don't think she felt a moment of disappointment about it being cancelled. She just liked the game of it. What does she care, she had half a dozen other VIP things lined up for herself including a trip to that beach house in Alabama or wherever.
Meanwhile, her sheeple had booked flights, altered plans, forked over money, time, effort and emotions to make the trip happen. They got their cruise money back but everything else is lost. They are not millionaires where a cancelled trip is no big deal. Us mediocre have to carefully plan trips down to the penny. Having the rug pulled out from under us is huge. She is a pig.

I'm not sure it's tragic...yet. I don't think we know all of the "why's".
The twins seems to be tasked with a lot of the responsibility of raising the "littles". While the twins were young, it was fun to help Mommy do things like potty train and teach "school", but when it becomes their actual responsibility, that's a whole different story.
I think it actually cruel to make the tups the disciplinarians of the 6, and I get the sense that this may be at the root of Mady's severe comments about her siblings.
Look, if the 6 are loud and raucous, well, that's irritating, But, the twins should be able to walk away and find some refuge in a 6500 square foot house! Why can't they?
I think being corralled with the 6 is getting to the twins, and they need to get away on a regular basis... at least as much as Kate gets away.

Sheeple keep asking why Jon has to take the custody situation public. Onegood reason:he is keeping the kids off TV. It's quite clear that Kate had every intention of pushing a new reality show (Growing Up Gosselin) with or without his approval. How does he stop any network from ever considering taking on such a project with his kids? By making darn sure they know he does not approve and that they will have a legal fight on their hands if they try.
Let's say some network was considering the GUG concept (doubtful). The network now knows that Jon will speak out publicly about the damage this project can do to his kids, which will not reflect well on the network's reputation. Plus, Jon has made it known that there will be a legal battle. What if Jon wins? Any money put into developing a show concept, plus any money put into the legal fight, is as good as thrown away. Even if Jon doesn't win, the public will hear over and over again how damaging filming is to these kids. That doesn't make people want to watch. Or, the legalities can stretch out for a very, very long time with appeals, so it could take years to be resolved. Why even bother?
Even if Jon gave up his right to object to filming the kids, he can still make sure that they grow up without cameras and interference. Nobody can legally stop him from voicing his objections. And nobody can deprive him of the right to go to court to protect his kids from harm. He (and his lawyer) know exactly what they are doing. He's making the prospect of filming the kids so unpleasant that no network will be willing to do it.

You gotta be careful with the fat soluble vitamins, including D. Too much is toxic and for people who don't know the difference between fat and water soluble, any excess your body doesn't need is peed out with the water soluble..which C and B complex are two. Fat soluble excess is stored in fat cells inside our bodies and can build up toxicity..D is a big one but so is K, E, & A. I have to know this before I send patients to dialysis.
I would check with your GP before upping any fat soluble vitamin. They can cause more problems than benefits.
I'm glad the increase in Vitamin D is working for you Virginia Mom. I just don't people on here to immediately up their dosages without knowing how the vitamins are or aren't stored in their bodies.

It's a mess here. We didn't get any snow either, local, just freezing rain and ice. The roads aren't bad, but 50,000 customers in the county are without power. We lost power. Went back on. Goes back off. So many downed power lines that the company can't respond. Trees are down everywhere, and I mean everywhere. I have never seen anything like this. Responders can't get to the people who need help. Many of our roads in this neck of the woods are closed due to fallen trees and utility wires over the road. I'm not going anywhere. I'm just watching trees going down in our neighborhood and trying to stay warm. Thank goodness this didn't happen during the Arctic blast when the wind chills were minus 20.
I watched the interview. All I can say is Jon is a different guy from when it was on J/K+8. He is a man who knows who he is now. He is not silent, not beaten down, not afraid. He is ready to fight for for the well fair of his children. Go Jon!

You're lucky. It was just reported that 1 in 5 in this county are without power. The news channel just said it could be off for days. This is for the long haul. The governor has enacted the National Guard to stand by and be ready to respond. There are cracked utility poles everywhere. It is a dangerous situation here.

It was interesting after the interview how Julianna and the interviewer (sorry, don't know her name) conversed between themselves how 'honest' Jon seemed. How he didn't duck the hard questions, how the interviewer pressed him on seeming inconsistencies and he 'explained every single one of them'.
They talked about how there were opportunities in the interview where he could have lied or fudged and no one would have known, but he didn't lie, he just answered honestly.
Their example was that the interviewer asked if Mady texted back after Jon texted her about the Today show. Jon said no, she didn't. The interviewer said, here was an example where he could have fudged, and said yeah, meaning a couple of days later when he *knew* that the interviewer meant that day. But he didn't fudge. He answered quickly and honestly, no.
They talked at some length about honesty. Code word for authentic?

Well, no wonder! /she twitters about a contest demanding all contestants submit good deeds with a "picture," then posts pictures of HER KIDS REVIEWING THEM, in a" not a contest," which she clearly indicated was a contest, and then does not announce the winners, due by Dec 25, with a few days notice. Weeks later, she still has not kept up her part of the bargain, as usual, and now fans are starting to questions her tactics, and rightfully so.
This "mastermind, highly organized person" is clearly anything but what she claims, and her fans should recognize this, as she presents a contest, and then chooses not to respond, after she started this whole mess. I caught the rerun of Jon's segment late last night and am re-watching online.
I just noticed the "blended kids/family" photo in a restaurant, and they all look so very happy.
Liz's 3 towheads are adorable, and that photo is a nice peek into the kids' lives as they visit with Jon and Liz, along with her kids.
They all look happy and relaxed.
Also the boy "littles" look so mature!
Anyway, it's a great pic and it makes me want to root for Jon and Liz's relationship.
It could be something well worth fighting for, even given my misgivings about Couples Therapy.
I think Patricia Chow has money or friends "in the business". She was just in Hawaii too. Kate must be so jealous.

Please forgive me but one of the joys as a kid was sledding (they have a down hill yard), building snow men, and snow ball "fights" - sounds mean, but just throwing snow at each other in a kid like way. Why, of why, can't she allow her kids to enjoy the "elements" and enjoy being kids? I remember spending hours sledding and building snow men and then coming home to hot chocolate.

Yeah, I'm not sure how that works. Kate goes on Regis and Kelly for the sole and only reason of telling America that she allegedly sits by the phone and waits for the kids to one by one call for her to pick them up from Jon's. Then, two months later, she does damage control after two are expelled by giving interview after interview saying that the kids miss their Dad and they have anger. Which is it Kate? First you say they don't want to spend time with him, then to cover your ass you say they miss him?
Then, there were all the many other public slams and digs towards Jon (medicore, unpaid electric bill, his child support doesn't even cover school lunches) Then, there was the very public filing of a meritless lawsuit. The documents were made public, as was Kate's public statement about how she HAD to file this suit to protect her children. When the book tour (my apologies to real, legitimate book tours) was over, so was the publicity stunt.. err....lawsuit.
When Kate made all these public slams and digs at Jon, the sheeple shrieked with delight, saying that she was being strong and a good mother. So I'm scratchin' my head wonderin' how the same exact wordin' and passion from Jon would elicit such anger and rage from Kate/Milo? Kate has never been quiet or guarded in her public comments/insults towards Jon. At least Jon can say he tried. It got him nowhere. She reaps what she sows.

If that is the case, I am more worried for Colin than ever. Is he kept home because he "mistoke" and said something to Jon? Honestly as one of the three boys, all of the boys seemed to want to see their dad as Kate always seemed to favor the girls. Regardless, Colin should be seeing his dad regurlarly, unless he has a major beef with him. And even then, he should be able to meet with Jon individually to discuss his concerns, so the issues can be cleared up.
I never liked how Jon noted he picks up "whatever kids show up at the gate." If there is an issue, Jon should be able to meet with Colin alone, to discuss same, much like Mady and Cara.

I've been reading some of "Something Real". Very well written (for a teen book).
I've almost laughed out loud at some of the parallels - "P People" are "meanies", the nannies, the travelling, the freebies, the throwing the dad under the bus.
Very entertaining, and while it's a work of fiction, it kind of makes you think about what the G kids have gone through - truly heartbreaking.

In that snow picture, what is that orange thing on the step? Kind of looks like a pumpkin. Didnt you have a bunch of snow at halloween one year where the kids didnt get to go trick or treating?
Also, you must have taken the pictures over the course of a few days, as the girls dont have the same shirts on. and being the ever careful organizer you are, I would doubt your kids would be allowed to change their shirts throughout the day. At least not all of them. That would truly increase your laundry loads and soap costs.
The one picture I see is likely from today or yesterday as Zorro is in it.

The laws regulating contests and sweepstakes have been around forever. I believe part of the regulations includes making the list of winners available to the public, which IMO is what is the sticking point here. If Kate wanted to have a contest, it was incumbent upon Kate to carry it out within the confines of the law. Not our fault that she did not do her homework or think it through. It looked like at one point she tried to drag HCI into it to bail her out. Guess they weren't interested.

I don't think this is a valid reason. First, he should never have given up legal custody of his children and it wouldn't be an issue. Second, he can go back to court rather than issuing threats about what he's "planning to do." There is no need for the media tour.

I've been without Internet for about 2 weeks, so I'm behind in all things G-verse. I haven't read all the posts yet, but may I say Holy Cats!! and GO JON!! I'm so glad he's found his voice and is holding her feet to the fire. I can't wait to see her thrown under that bus she keeps backing over him, even if it only lasts a short time.
Meagler -- feel better. An unrelenting cough is miserable. Have you tried honey and lemon juice? That always helps me. My grandfather always swore by onion juice. I was never able to get it past my nose, though.
We got several inches of snow then ice on top, then the plow came through and my car is buried -- snow a good 6" higher than the bumper. I've been trying to dig out. Now I need a hot buttered rumspringa.

Once again playing catch up...I've only read this far. I stayed up way too late reading ''Something Real'' last night (this morning?) As I read the book, so much of what was written as happening to the teen in the book seemed to me to be what WOS put JON through. I agree that it exposed what Jon and his children have had to deal with the entire time they have been connected to that lying liar that lies, waste of skin and space that is TCFW!
Whew, I'm glad the twins and Jon do have a good relationship. Mady was probably too upset or forbidden to text Jon back after the Today fiasco. The photos with Liz & kids were cute and everyone looked happy. The pics are somewhat old as neither twin has braces, but hopefully things can work out. And his family are involved!! Jon seems serious to make a go of it in IT.I wish he had been asked about CT just to explain that so it makes sense why he's doing it if he's financially "OK" but JMO; the real issue was the kids and custody.

Remember when TFW lost power and was panicking and grifting a generator, asking if it could be used inside (OMG)? For some reason my little neighborhood has power today when a lot of the area does not, my mom and sister included. My sister, husband, and three of her kids came over this afternoon to charge cell phones and get warm. They are staying with my BIL's parent's tonight. My stubborn Irish mother finally agreed to stay the night here. If TFW had not cut everyone out of her life, she would not have had to panic. In fact it's kind of nice to just hang out and have popcorn and hot chocolate while the phones charge.

Agreed it is all speculation re the chickens and why Collin may or may not be seeing is dad on a regular basis.
In any case this morning I sent a text msg to my friend who is local and is familiar with the property where Jon is now living. I specifically asked if Jon could have chickens there and the answer was yes but he would need to build a chicken coop.
So if the 6 want to live with their dad, especially the boys, but love their chickens I don't see why they can't take the chickens with them to Jon's new place (or buy new chickens). BUT if Kate is going to keep the chickens because they are HER chickens, fine, but if the twins want to live with Jon too and if the chickens die because Kate can't be bothered with the chicken chores all by herself which will ultimately hurt the kids then I hope that Jon will turn her in for animal abuse.
This would also apply to the dog, fish and parrot.
I'm sure that Kate knows that guilt works wonders but abusing an animal in order to control children should be considered a felony IMO.
Checking in from out of town, and really all I can is good job, just so sorry you were pushed to this. My heart is really sad at the image of any dad waiting at the end of the driveway, not knowing which of his kids the narcissistic ex will 'allow' him to have during his legal visitation. No need for a media tour? How about all Kate's media tours? Jon was muzzled for years. Now it's his turn to speak.
And I think warding off unapproved filming is a perfectly valid reason for him to speak out. Kate has a long history of filming the kids without his approval. If he waits to go to court, it will be after the damage is done. He wants to stop any further damage from happening.
Kate is using the kids to get herself in the media and to make money. Jon is their father and he has every right to object to them being used like that. He has made it known to the networks that filming his kids is not okay with him, so they will stay away. They are kids, and they need to be left alone. Kate has no intention of protecting them, so Jon is stepping up to do so.

Not sure what you mean by every damn time. It doesn't seem that he's been to court recently. Other parents seem to be able to fight their custody battles without bringing the media in. How do they afford it?
We don't know why Collin does go see his dad, but can you just imagine how he feels when he sees his brothers and sisters getting ready to go, then walk out the door and down the driveway (much less how he feels when they come back)? He's just a little boy! I was talking to an old friend about our childhoods, and he didn't feel protected as a child. He said, very sadly, as he explained what happened, "I was just a little boy!" I cried hearing a grown man recognize, acknowledge, and speak his truth like that. The emotions are no doubt confusing for a child, but as that child matures and gains more clarity, often decades later, the emotions are intense.
Isn't Jon just saying what most of us have been thinking for years now? Psych evaluation has been needed for years. Also, I believe the kids need their own lawyer. They need someone in charge who has nothing to gain but the 8 children's best interest. They have needed this from day 1 of their parents' rush to fame and fortune. Jon is dealing with parental alienation plain and simple. It's a real shame.
I just remember Admin, how Kate admitted she had trouble breaking Collin. (He is not a horse, and even that is cruel)

They can "take off," sit on the top of the cabinets, and fly around some, but not the way a non-clipped bird could do. With a house pet, they need to be clipped or they are in danger of hurting themselves (flying hard into windows, etc), I've had some rescue parrots with flight feathers completely clipped the whole way down, and they still were able to fly. It always amazed me.
So to recap...Jon was on TV last night, he's going to be on again tonight, and tomorrow is the next episode of Couples Therapy.
And TFW is snowbound at home, looking for a lost bird. Who's mediocre now, TFW?

IMO Jon going to the media is a way for him to tell the entertainment world, that the children are not available now or ever (until their 18) to work again on TV. Kate has done so many end runs around Jon so much so that he only finds out about People magazine, TV interviews after the fact. He needs some way to get in front of Kate and that's what he did by doing the ET interview. Now Kate has a big problem trying to get the kids on TV again because Jon said it's not going to let it happen. He put Kate AND the entertain people on notice. His children are not for anyone's entertainment.
Had Jon not done the interview, Kate would have continued on her merry way find some magical way to have the children filmed for her fame and fortune.

I know that the source of this tweet explains everything but I think it's important to note how the sheeple try to rewrite history and in fact often lie about facts that thousands of people know are untrue, but they still try it anyway. It's equally important to note how many impressionable young women are so infatuated with the dream of J&K+8 that they actually believe the crap coming from the sheeple.
In this case we saw the actual documents that specified the children's trust money can be used for education, medical, and basically anything else deemed necessary for their support. Do they not remember the terms of the trust or are they intentionally trying to mislead and lie? Either way, just like them excusing the child abuse, it's scary that people are believing the lies the sheeple are spewing.

Nobody knows how often he's been to court. He didn't speak out about it, and court docs are sealed. He could have been there every month and we'd never know it.

Looking at the pictures, I believe the one with him and Liz and all the kids is from a rag mag article that came out when they were first starting to date, but I can't find the article online so I could be wrong. I just seem to remember us commenting on it here when he started dating her.
As for the other picture, I'm not sure. But it looks like it predates the braces.

I don't hear you admonishing Kate for putting her teens in front of t.v. cameras to disparage their father and siblings. Only that Jon is a bad guy for defending himself, without using his kids.

Kate has not posted a rebuttal to anything recent, it's like she is totally ignoring all of it, like nothing happened. IN LALA land.
I think her silence and attempts at distraction are temporary and I expect her to pop back on tv giving her usual, tired, scripted, rebuttal interview in the not so distant future.
It's irrelevant what a stranger thinks about Jon going public. For whatever his reasons are he has decided to do so. It's done. Hopefully his decision was the right one and I wish him luck. Bellyaching about it over and over isn't going to change his mind.

Poor Kate, looks like he worked hard, learned new skills along the way, and now has her dream job.

I sometimes wonder whether this person really IS this dumb and doesn't know any better, or if they just pick and choose what lie they want to spread around. I guess she wasn't paying too close attention to the ruling at the PA hearings when it was mandated that the trust must be set up, and didn't read the stipulations of it. The trust can, in fact, be accessed for the welfare of the kids. I remember thinking at the time...gosh, .that means Kate can "fudge" anything to include the welfare of the kids, such as utility bills (they have to stay warm), security system on the house (they have to stay safe), and even food (they have to eat).

I didn't interpret her to mean that the bird flies free thru the house and the family has to look for him. I thought she meant that they never knew whose shoulder he might be perched on at any given time. Collin always seemed to be portrayed as the "little man" around the house. Helping his mama to put away the kid picnic tables, straigntening up the garage, carrying very heavy items out to where things were being built.

Jon has now said that he's doing well with money and he won't stop trying to get Kate to stop using their children.

I don't think TFW has anything to do with this orthodontist. I think it's random that she or someone on her staff saw the twins had braces and she thought it might catch some attention to mention a 'celeb'. She's tweeted about Faith Hill and others in magazines and I don't think it means anything other than she's promoting braces and the 'perfect smile'.

For the record I love my chickens .... and more than half of them have names. However I don't feel as if I'm a crazy chicken lady where I need to buy the pair of hooker heels where the shoe is pink and the heel is a yellow chicken foot.
Yes these shoes really exist.
Anyway I know a lot of kids -- both boys and girls age 6 + -- who are very much into their chickens and not all of them are in 4H and raising them for their county fair. No, they just like chickens and the chores are not a big deal.
BTW to the person up thread who wanted to know if the farmer that Kate is friends with could take care of the chickens if the kids were with Jon for the weekend. Please know that it is one thing to have a dairy farmer come over and check on livestock such as cows and horses, but I would be mortified if I asked a farmer to come over to check on chickens when it is so easy to just put out a lot of feed and water for a few days and they will be just fine.
10 years ago I was living alone on 5 acres with 105 goats, 2 cows, 4 ponies, 12 chickens and 2 dogs. When I would go to PA for a week to visit relatives I would buy a dozen bales of hay and spread them around the 5 acres, made sure that in addition to the 4 water troughs with automatic water floaters that all other containers had water, chicken feed was overflowing, and the dogs had an open 50# bag of dog food available in the house (I did not board out my dogs in a kennel because even if I was not at home there would be less stress on my rottweilers if they just used their dog door to go in and out at free will).
All the critters were on notice that if they ate all the food in the first 3 days that should last longer than 12 days or more I did not care. I asked friends to stop by and check on things if they were in the area, and they did, and it was nice that they called to tell me everything was OK.
Now if I could go on vacation and not worry about all my critters, trust me, Kate could find a way to take care of the chickens while the kids are with Jon.

What came through to me was Jon's obvious concern for his children.
That is what is fueling his anger.
The man has apologized for his past actions. I don't expect him to wear sackcloth and ashes forever. He's fighting fire (media) with fire.
