I've said it a few times. By their logic, TFW wasn't even AT the concert yet there were sightings and she said she was there. Yet there was no picture. BECAUSE NOONE CARED. But by Marie's logic there was no pic so she must not have been there at all.
Formerly Duped: you read my mind. I was thinking the same thing Deanna. Kate tweeted last month,2/22 : "Being friends with a make-up artist, when your making plans and she says buying a beard and prepping it, is on her to do list." So Deanna is probably going to watch & care for the kids while Kate is gone. That's to make sure Jon does not come into the house, you know he might rip her off, and then another law suite.
Here is some food for thought: 1. shell we count how many days before Kate tweets something or will Deanna, pretend to be Kate and tweet for her. 2. How many Kate's camp/PR stories are going to surface, while Kate is gone these 6 weeks? 3. Gee, Kate will miss stuffing hundreds of plastic eggs for Easter( Easter is April 20) and miss Easter. 4. Kate won't be back till June, just in time for the Special to air. 5. Kate will then make the talk show rounds. 6. People Mag cover with the tups for there birthday in may & for the special or will People combine the 2? or 3 with CA?

Wait. I've not looked for the quote from Robert's book, but I'm positive I remember him saying that Steve and his family WERE all there for the entire trip and wedding. If jon has the kids, this is his time to step up and enroll those kids in some activities...Boy Scouts, Indian Guides, Girl Scouts. gymnastics, soccer...ANYTHING. Let these kids experience childhood, in their own individual ways.
Is CA like DWTS in that a contestant can be there for a week, or 3 weeks, or 6 weeks, or... how long?
If Kate's planning on sticking it out until the end, holy mackerel, that's a lot of missing raising her children.

First-hand reports from BHI were that Steve and Kate were spotted getting very cozy on the beach and that Steve and the family (not his, ahem) and Steve and Kate were seen strolling in the evening.
It's like Steve has this whole other family that his wife condones.
You hear about men having 2 families and neither woman knows, but his seems ok for Steve to live his life with Kate and her kids.
He is NOT just working, he is living his life with them.
It's very odd and I don't get it.

Unfortunately, it won't work this way. If Jon has the kids, or some of the kids while Kate films, enrolling them in an ongoing activity would be unfair for everyone involved.
These are not one-off activities- they are years long experiences and commitments.
Kate's not going to be driving her boys to Scouts, let's face it.
I'm curious as to what activity she says the kids do on their "special".

If it is an "open marriage" kind of thing, well then how damn sad is that? The Neilds are raising two sons, almost of adult age. What does this show them about relationships and respect for women? The appearance of the whole thing stinks and Gina must be nuts for putting up with this. I do agree though, Radar should not have dragged Gina and the boys into this.... however there would be nothing to drag if Steve didn't appear to be living two lives.

Cause even if she does not make it all 6 weeks, you know that, she will have to take a vacation after this, cause this was so much hard work(yeah, first hard work she has done in along time(if you can call this hard work!), BOO HOO!) People do this kind of work everyday. But for Kate who practically does a whole lot of nothing all day, this will be work for her. Does Kate have any pie recipes in her cookbook? I wonder why the contestants couldn't just google some great pie recipes.
I am probably in the minority but I think Kate will come off well in CA. She has admitted on more than one occasion that her past "antics" have hurt her finding another job. So I think she will be very conscious to come off different than she has in the past. She will be on her best behavior. Yes, some will come against her in the boardroom and she may speak out against others but this is the very nature of the show. I don't think she is going to be lazy or entitled. I think she will come off introverted and insecure. And when she is asked point blank in the boardroom what she thinks of a person, she will say it in the nicest way possible. But secretly I hope she comes off terribly so she will get what she has given to others for years: MISERY.
And I don't think Kate was holding handing with Steve in a very public place. That defies common sense since IF she is having an affair she would not want anybody to snap a photo of it.
And I wonder if Kate doesn't post the pie location on her twitter it is because she is afraid her "haters" will come attack her and embarrass her. Or perhaps she will after she finds out many others in CA have posted about it.
The other 2 women that I didn't include in the celeb list on the previous page are Leeza Gibbons and Vivica A Fox. Leeza Gibbons tweeted about Pie Face, and I forgot that Vivica was shown in Terrell's video. So now we know the whole cast.
Donald really couldn't say anything on Fox & Friends, because it's an NBC show, and the announcement is always on NBC. He may do it on the Today Show, but it may possibly the Tonight Show because according to his tweets he's a big fan of Jimmy Fallon. I checked the line ups for both show, and he's not scheduled to be on this week or next week.
Donald also does an #AskTheDonald thing on twitter, and then makes a video to answer the questions and posts it on FB. In his latest video(which he posted today), he says that CA will air in the fall. He says it right at the beginning of the video.

If I were married to a guy who worked as security for tv personalities, I would be fine with his long work hours, and the fact that he has to travel away from home for business. That's understandable and comes with the territory.
However, I would not be fine with my spouse going to a comedy show in Vegas with one of his clients, in a clearly non-professional manner. Nor would I be happy to hear he was spotting holding hands at a concert venue with one of his "clients," namely the same one he went to the comedy show with. There is a line between professional behavior and unprofessional behavior and Rat Claws has stepped over that line more than once.
BTW, this doesn't have to be limited to someone who interacts with celebrities or reality tv personalities. If I were married to a CPA, and found out he went out of town with a female client, went to a Vegas show with that person, or attended a concert and was spotting walking hand-in-hand with that client - that would raise my ire.
So yeah, I don't get it either Tucker's Mom. Whether it's a brave front or genuine, Steve's wife appears unconcerned about any possible romantic or unprofessional relationship Steve might be having with WOS. She appears quite confident in their relationship and happy.
All I can figure is that the money is very good and she is privy to information that we aren't (such as, Kate is just a paycheck to Steve and he goes along with the phony boyfriend stuff to keep that money rolling in.)

I will be watching to see how Kate can hold up to the demands of doing this show. I appreciate your differing viewpoint. I agree that most any other person would indeed be on the best behavior and take this as an opportunity to redeem themselves in the public's eye, in the hopes that it might lead to further opportunities down the road.
However, my own opinion is that Kate is physically/mentally unable to deal with the everyday demands of life, much less the extra challenges that she'll be faced doing CA. She just seems incapable of dealing with even normal everyday things. A prime example is her near breakdown in Alaska, because she could not bear to be out camping (with a very nice camper no less) while it was drizzling rain. Let's face it - that wasn't very demanding. Production assistants probably set up the entire campsite, hauled in the food, started the BBQ/fires, and so forth. All the parties involved had to do was show up, enjoy the scenery, munch on a hotdog or burger, and smile for the camera. But Kate couldn't even do that.
Now on CA, the contestants are supposed to do a whole variety of tasks on their own. In this pie competition, sounds like each contestant must bake at least one pie. They are also supposed to try to raise a lot of money - by encouraging their fans to show up and support them by spending money on pies. They are going to have to interact with members of the general public, be cheerful and outgoing, maybe even beg for people to come in and buy their pies. All this, and start their days very early and keep going for long hours. I just don't see Kate as being up to these demands.
However, I am very curious to see how we do on our predictions. If she actually does well, you will be able to knock me over with a feather, but hopefully I will be big enough person to acknowledge it.

Exactly, and Kate, having been raised "in the church" and having done the church speaking thing, invoking the name of God and prayers and such, certainly knows that in the religion in which she has been brought up that this is considered adultery regardless if the marriage is open or closed.
The thing is that unless these two come out as a couple, or are caught in a compromising position, it's rumor, and all the speculation in the world isn't going to make it true.

Okay, this has nothing to do with CA or pie, but it does involve World of Warcraft and Kate, so please scroll on by.
For those who don't know, WoW is a Massively Multiplayer Online Role-playing Game (MMORPG). You create a character and do quests, etc. in the game to get ahead. There are two main sides in the game - The Alliance and The Horde. I generally play Alliance characters, but decided to make some Horde characters so I could play with my son.
The other day I created an Undead character. You get to select from pre-made characteristics - hair, eyes, skin color, etc. When I got to the hair, I burst out laughing. They have Kate's old hairstyle, the reverse mullet, as one of the options. And it's only available (to the best of my knowledge) to the undead characters.
I know, I'm a geek. But it was still funny.

An open marriage is not ok...especially if there are children involved. Children need to grow up w/ security and stability...and mom and dad sleeping w/ whomever they wish does not fit that description. If you have no kids, do what ever you two agree to. But wanting an open marriage w/ children involved is just plain selfish on the part of the adults.
I would be nice to have photo proof, but too many people (with no ax to grind) have reported what they saw and what their impressions were. These people are not idiots. Apparently with the hand holding at the concert, it was stated clearly that in an attempt to get a photo, the person tried to snap a selfie with Kate and Steve in the background but Kate ducked away. And frankly, they were in Fairfax, VA in a crowded venue and what's the chance they'd be recognized? They were in the nose bleed seats and she and Steve were sitting behind the twins (she took a photo of the girls' backs). I think she and Steve let their guard slip.
Sure, adults can have an open marriage. Remember, that's what Kate wanted from Jon so she must be ok with it. And who's to say it's ok with Gina? Plenty of married couples fool around. Maybe Gina has a boyfriend. Not my cup of tea, but it's still adultery and there are children involved.

There was absolutely no reporting from paps that the Neild family was at Bald Head Island. All I ever saw pictured was Kate and Steve alone like at lunch (wouldn't you think Gina would have been included?) and there was the person who saw them alone on the beach taking walks every night. And of course there was the infamous rumor that Mady caught them kissing and was very upset by it.
Kate's in a bit of a dilemma with the need to tweet her whereabouts tomorrow as she has more "haters" than "fans". She'll be afraid that:
1. her many "haters" may come to throw pies rather than buy pies.
2. her few "fans" may actually show up.
3 noone will show up.

Okay, this has nothing to do with CA or pie, but it does involve World of Warcraft and Kate, so please scroll on by.
For those who don't know, WoW is a Massively Multiplayer Online Role-playing Game (MMORPG). You create a character and do quests, etc. in the game to get ahead. There are two main sides in the game - The Alliance and The Horde. I generally play Alliance characters, but decided to make some Horde characters so I could play with my son.
The other day I created an Undead character. You get to select from pre-made characteristics - hair, eyes, skin color, etc. When I got to the hair, I burst out laughing. They have Kate's old hairstyle, the reverse mullet, as one of the options. And it's only available (to the best of my knowledge) to the undead characters.
I know, I'm a geek. But it was still funny.

Edgar Hansen was on This Old House a couple of weeks ago. He likes doing construction work and was helping out. He was thrilled that they allowed him to be part of the show and very gracious about it. I used to watch Deadliest Catch but those fishermen are the walking dead. All the smoking and I'm assuming narcotics that are taken in order for them to be up for 24 hours is not healthy.
I have to.admit, it will be interesting to see her play by DT's rules instead of listing out HER demands.
Best behavior or not, I agree with those who think she's in over her head.
CA is not supposed to air until the fall...true karma would be that it never airs because NBC decides to shelve it. If the celebs continue to tweet about their tasks to drum up support we'll be able to tell who is still in and who is out. I don't think TFW will be able to hide her true self for long. The cameras are always rolling and the stress tends to bring out the worst in people and not the best.

I can't speak for anyone else, but where I was raised, and how I was brought up (very conservative area with strong fundamental beliefs in marriage), it is wrong to date a married man, regardless if it "works" for all parties involved. There's a reason for marriage and it does not include "dating" while you are still married. If you want the freedom to be with others, then you don't get married, or you get divorced, and then you can enjoy swimming with as many fish in the sea that you can find. Until then, and especially if there are children involved, you just don't do it. I know times have changed, and it's a whole different world out there, but for me, those values remain the same. There's a reason wedding vows are spoken, and it's not to make the wedding ceremony last longer.
Kate grew up in the same area that I did, and most likely was raised with the same values, so while I have no idea whether or not she now thinks dating a married man (open marriage or not) is right or wrong, I don't think I'm way off base by saying that she wasn't brought up that way.

I was just thinking about that audition tape TFW made when the tups were tiny. And she ends it with something like, it's not glamorous, but it's so rewarding. Fast forward 10 years, and she's taking a month away from those babies, all in the name of chasing fame and fortune. I picture her frolicking through NYC like Marlo Thomas in the opening credits of "That Girl." Agree. I've said this before but I'll say it again. We're grown adults. Previous conversations about not watching have not been productive, sort of like politics. You may choose to watch or not each for yourself, but do not engage in discussion about telling others what their choice should be. We have two big programs coming up and no one deserves to feel guilty for watching what they want to, nor should those who refrain be made to feel like it doesn't make a difference if they don't watch or any negative comments like that.

I don't know if times have changed much. People have had affairs during marriage for centuries. While I have no problem with people who want to date around or being in an "open" situation where they are with two or more women at once as long as everyone KNOWS, I do agree that once you sign up for marriage those vows should be honored, and that those activities should stop when you get married. Or don't get married. Otherwise you've rendered marriage nothing more than a tax break and cheapened vows that other people would like to maintain their meaning.
That said, I don't really consider it much my business if that's what people have chosen to do with their lives. I just personally find it wrong, even though I do know it does work for some people. Although in my only experience of it, it worked to a POINT. Then one day, it did not work. The "other" women couldn't take it anymore, children were heartbroken at what a farce their lives were, stern words were exchanged, okay fights really, and separation paperwork was filed. I don't know if it really works indefinitely no matter how long it worked before that sort of "no turning back" point.

Oh, Milo, you are such a hoot, the comic relief, the Twitter jester. I wonder, though, if she really does have kids, do they know that their mother is the laughingstock of Kate's TL? If so, do they care?
Oh I can't remember when or if the girls join the guys later in the show but if Kate ever has to work with the Deadliest Catch guy I can't imagine he would give her the time of day. He's used to pushing his crew for 24 hours straight until the job is done if they're on a hot run.
I predict will be very good. He's not a deck hand, he was the captain. He has to know everything about everything on that ship. He has to think strategically every day at work, manage hundreds of thousands of dollars, and he has to coral a very big crew. That takes real skill, brains, and talent. I'm going to go out on a limb and say he might just make it to the finals.

I just did a quick read of Sig's bio and he's been fishing since 14. He was captain of his own ship at age 24! I don't know much about fishing but I'm guessing that is very prestigious given most of these big boats have 20 man crews and make hundreds of thousands of dollars in a few weeks time.
