What's worse than filming the demise of your marriage?

Faking the demise of your marriage.

Tori Spelling's new reality show True Tori has all the makings of a great episode of her father's legacy Dynasty. Now the internet is abuzz with evidence that, shocker, it could all be fake.

Old Instagram photos posted by Tori and Dean don't add up to the narrative they are telling now. And various sources say the woman Dean claims to have cheated with in Canada doesn't exist.

And check out this prophetic quote from Tori, "I’m Aaron Spelling’s daughter. I knew how to write the story. I knew what would tug on heartstrings." Not to mention, what ever would possess someone to make a television show out of something so terrible, especially when all they do is complain about the paparazzi? This would be funny if there weren't four little kids involved.

It never surprises me about what people will put online. I know of numerous folks in cyber space who think nothing of posting pics of their xrays. There is one blogger out there who has a blog that he writes stories on and he is always begging his readers for money. He said he's got some degeneration in his spine and when he's really hard up for money he will post photos of his latest xrays. Also a friend's husband had some surgery on his neck and of course he had to post the photos on his facebook page. Really?

Some people just love to post whatever they can about themselves in social media because they think people are really that interested in them. And a narcissicist like Kate is no different. It's all about her, her, her.

There seems to be a common theme with these reality "celebs".
They "are doing it for the fans", and "think others can be helped by their story" and think that they're the only one who has a)given birth, b) been divorced etc.

Basically, they think they're precious snowflakes.

Totally OT. Serious question - What, exactly, is it about "The Walking Dead" that has made that show such a big hit?
*********************************************************************************
Tweet-le De Tweet-le DUMB, I originally thought the same thing because I am the world's biggest chicken when it comes to scary shows and movies. I tend to tune in to the hit shows a year or so after they start, but I watched a marathon one day and was hooked. Once you get accustomed to the gore, it is fascinating to watch the relationships between the different characters develop. The actors are very good. Don't give up on it.

JMHO.

I don't know, but was thinking about binging it.

While we're on shows, I watched all of The Killing- loved it.
Others I like are Longmire and Luther.

Getting into Wallander. Not as hooking as The Killing, but still good.

Orphan Black has been strong so far this season. The dark humor is getting more noticeable.

VEEP is having a brilliant season, recovering from a not so strong one last.
Game of Thrones is still Triple B- boobs, butts and blood.

Tucker I think that's the type of people who gravitate toward wanting to be on reality T.V. in the first place, those who think they're this interesting and are this eager to share. A normal person would probably be embarrassed to make such a big deal of a pinky toe hairline fracture, as well as embarrassed about the silly way it happened. Normally when you ask people about minor injuries they say things like "oh never mind that it's nothing, or 'it was stupid.'" It's true, she's not the only one who posts stuff like this and I think for those who wouldn't do that, it's hard to relate to those who are happy to do that. I don't see much meeting in the middle. You can see this division on the STFU Parents blog, those who find what some people post abhorrent and those that think it's just a bunch of childless bitches. We're never going to understand each other. I hope I'm not wrong though that it's really a minority of people who overshare and that most people are appropriate on social media. But the minority get all the attention so it feels pervasive.

The Walking Dead is an amazing show and I never watch horror. You come to really get to know the characters, root for them, and they are often faced with impossible moral dilemmas. Like Karen's choice this season, for those who have seen it. At first I didn't like a lot of the characters but once they sort of settled into their characters I found ones I liked like I just love Daryl who I thought was just a white trash ex con before. Turns out he has a huge heart.

There's people who feel the zombies shouldn't be killed if it can be helped because they are still the people they once were, and there are those who feel their brain is dead so they've lost who they were. So there's more morality again, where do you define life.

I like the aspect of sort of trying to make a new life in a very hostile world and what a struggle it is. It could be anything, zombies could be terrorists or a plague, it's just about something devastating happening, losing everything even sometimes your family, and trying to find some kind of normal again.

There are actually many episodes where zombies are barely in it. I'm sure it's not for everyone. There's plenty else out there if you don't like it. Try Breaking Bad, Lost, Prison Break, The Killing, Apprentice UK, anything else recommended here.

OT: DWTS.

Joy in Virginia, what I enjoyed the most was when Max said he didn't care about anything Abby Lee Miller had to say. Burn! Abby Lee thinks she knows everything and tried to play the technical card at the judges table. All it did was make her look like she thought she was superior to the other judges. Not a ALM fan and glad she got her comuppance (sp?).

OT comedy shows! Or dramas that have humor at times. SyFy has Warehouse 13 which is sadly ending in a few weeks. They had a hysterical episode last night involving a Spanish language telenovela subplot, you could tell the cast had fun with it.
And Big Bang Theory is my favorite comedy. Its meat in that the characters have changed and actually grown in some ways over the years. Last weeks episode dealing with the death of Professor Proton (played by Bob Newhart, who is still very much alive) was funny and touching and memorable. I also love it because you can turn on Amy of the many reruns of Big Bang Theory on various TV stations, and even if I have seen the episode with Leonard s mother visiting six times, Christine Baranski and three gang always make me laugh!

Love, love, love The Walking Dead. I resisted it for a long time becasue every time I turned it on all I saw were the zombies. I decided to download the first season and give it a try. I was hooked and I'm now half way through season 4 (yes I binge watch). The story/characters draw you in. It's so much more than just the gore. Like Admin I also love who Daryl has become. I've never been a big fan of Carl though and I don't know why.

I was also a Breaking Bad and Prison Break fan. I watched Lost for a couple of seasons but got tired of it and just gave up. I'm also a big Sons of Anarchy fan - another show that you don't think you'll like but it draws you in. Another good show is The Following. The first two seasons have been very good and I hope it will be picked up for a third season. The twin is creepy.

I missed DWTS and didn't TiVo it. I forgot it was on becasue I was so excited that 24 was on. I'm going to have to see if it's on Hulu or something like that becasue I did want to see it.

I just finished watching "Broadchurch". If you like British mysteries, you'll love this one. Plus it has the added benefit of having David Tennant as one of the stars. It's also refreshing to see a police woman who looks like a real police woman. She doesn't have tops cut down to her navel and her boobs hanging out, or a skirt that doesn't quite cover her crotch, or wear stilettos to work. She looks like a professional -- sensible pant suits and low heeled shoes. Ideal for chasing after suspects (and her kids).

Love how TFMJG considers her broken toe to be a "foot" (maybe she meant that the toe is a foot long? LOL). I've broken my baby toe a couple of times, because I'm prone to running around the house barefoot or sock foot, and I'm a klutz. It's painful, but buddy taping and firm-soled shoes took care of the problem and they healed in a week or so.

I caught one dance last night and it was amazing- the young woman with double amputation. She is simply amazing.
I though ALM was a huge misfire for DWTS.
They look like their flailing.

I think their guest judges should either be professional dancers who are classically trained, or famous personalities that bring some fun and spark to the show.

Pearls before swine.
Blech.

BTW, I've seen ALM on talk shows etc. and she is by far, the biggest kiss ass I've ever seen.

Good article from Salon.com:

Will celebrity mothers ever learn that putting their families on-camera is unwise — that it only allows people to judge how good, or bad, or calculating, you are? It’s particularly disturbing to hear Spelling explain that her four children know what paparazzi are but not why they follow her family. So how will they react to their parents’ therapy sessions being aired to an audience waiting to speculate on just how real the remorse is? Or their own appearances on camera?

Kate Gosselin has been through the public-relations wringer as she’s attempted to keep her career as a media personality afloat after the dissolution of her marriage onscreen. Gwyneth Paltrow made her success as a home cook to little Apple and Moses explicit in her cookbooks and Goop newsletter — and the schadenfreude, following her “conscious uncoupling,” was deafening. Jessica Alba and Alicia Silverstone, actresses who’ve made second careers for themselves as lifestyle guide authors, ought to be holding their respective breaths. Celebrities who build their brands on projecting perfect motherhood are pretty much destined to fall.

It was clear from the very beginning of the show, that Mady had some jealousy issues regarding the tups. I think her feelings were valid, because once the tups came along, she and Cara were basically shoved to one side and it was the tups who had all the attention and limelight. Sibling rivalry happens in most families, but it was magnified 100 times in the Gosselin household. The tups get a huge birthday party complete with pony rides, carnival theme, and excessive hoopla, and the twins get ...... ? (Although there was one episode where Jon & Kate took the twins into New York for the birthday, and I think they went to American Girl and got lunch and bought a doll each.)

I think the twins (esp Mady) felt the attention given to the tups was unequal and neither parent seemed aware enough or smart enough to address the issue head on. Mady still resents her younger siblings. It's too bad, because it's not the tups' fault.

Maybe it's a good thing for all kids to have times where they are apart and can have a break from the rivalry.

They range from boring to dangerous.

I would make an exception for Multiple Blessings in Kate's case, but after reading her journals, that book is nothing more than revisionist history.
Plus, it's not even written by Kate.

I will say, the quality can't be reached by Kate without a Beth, but still, it's fluffed up, prettied up and has a lot of Christian rhetoric which made it attractive to the masses.

I do like Daryl on "The Walking Dead," both his down to earth, so to speak, personality and also the actor's portrayal. The guy's probably the best actor in the series.

I guess I'm just too pragmatic for that show. I wondered why anyone would be ironing shirts at the campsite when they'll soon be all ripped and bloodied after battling the zombies, and why anyone be looking for wrapping paper for a birthday gift and the relationship with the girl and the Korean guy; she's either so pissed off at him she won't talk to him or climbing all over his body, nothing in between. LOL

I wish Broadchurch was available on streaming . Netflix seems a bit slow on providing new shows to watch. I feel like I've watched most of the good stuff. I might have to check out Hulu and Amazon

I'm not sure, but it has sucked me in. My son wanted to watch the first episodes and I was not enthused, but I agreed to watch with him. Many times, I was grossed out. Then the story line and the character development either gets hold of you and you become a fan, or you stop watching altogether. If you tune out the gross aspects, at its heart it poses a very intriguing question: What if something caused society to disintegrate and laws no longer applied? How would people survive when civilization is ripped away?

I like most of the main characters: Rick, Michone, Carol, Glenn, Maggie, and surprisingly to me, even rough-edged Daryl. I think all of these are portrayed very well by the actors.

Anyway, that's what makes this show appealing to me.
For some reason, zombie themes seem very popular right now, just like vampire shows were (and to some extent still are) very popular.

Tweet -- The first episode of "Broadchurch" is available for free on tv.com and youtube and all the episodes are available for purchase on Amazon streaming. Or, you can do what I did and borrow the DVD set from your local library. Netflix has the discs for rental, too. Some networks/production companies are notorious for not allowing their shows to be made available for online streaming by other entities. Some don't make episodes available until after the release of the DVD sets, and some don't make the available anywhere except on the network websites, and then it's usually on a very limited basis. For those lamenting missing 24: Live Another Day, it is available on Hulu Plus (not free, but $7.99 a month for membership is pretty reasonable).

Dutch Tulip -- thanks for the info on "The Crimson Field". It sounds like the kind of show I enjoy. Don't think it's available here in the States yet, but I'll be looking for it.

We gave up watching Walking Dead after they killed off Shane (the hottest human, turned Zombie evah !! ;) ). Well, actually there was nothing more for me to see since Shane was off the show. I know he went all evil and stuff, but the actor who played him was HOT!!

As for my husband, the show just freaked him out too much. LOL. Plus we would get attached to characters and they would end up either being munched on by zombies or capped by someone. I have kept up with the what's going on by reading recaps online. That is much easier on our old tickers than actually watching the show. LOL.

PatK said...

Since The Walking Dead is being discussed, here's why I enjoy it.

It's watching what people have to do to survive in a such a catastrophic situation and it runs from one extreme to the other. There are groups of horrible people, some of which try to "rule the world'; and then there are groups of people good of heart trying to rebuild some semblency of how things used to be. Sure, I enjoy the "zombie" part of it--never been afraid to watch horror shows/movies; but the dynamic between the group of survivors being followed on the show is fantastically written and what truly keeps me watching.

Just throwing my .02 in!

From Hitflix.com

Meryl & Maks
The Background: Maks is putting together a rumba about a dysfunctional relationship. Like his desperate love for Meryl? Meryl says Maks is just a big teddy bear. A really big teddy bear. Maks is sure he and Meryl are going to "maintain whatever it is that we have" way past the show. This is so sweet unless it ends in a restraining order.
The Dance: This is a rumba? It's excellent, but it seems to be more contemporary than rumba.
The Judges: Bruno thought it was "Streetcar Named Desire." Carrie Ann thinks there was energy in every single move, but there wasn't enough rumba content. Len thought the mood and feeling was fantastic. Abby wants Maks to know she'd never hit him. Meryl's feet needed work, though, as they were sickled. Maks says he doesn't care for anything she has to say. Yikes! Well, that's Maks the teddy bear. Maybe Meryl meant the bear in Ted

The ending of Broadchurch infuriated me. Other than that, it was most excellent. Brilliant acting, gorgeous scenery, beautifully filmed. I read that none of the actors knew who the killer was, except the killer and the victim. That's something that an actor could really get his teeth into. I also heard that it was being remade in the U.S. They've got their work cut out for them if they think they can top this production.

PJ -- David Tennant is going to be in the US production (which is called "Gracepoint"), and the creator of the Brit. version is heavily involved, so I hope it's a class show. I read somewhere that the killer will be a different person in the US production. It will be interesting to see how it changes the impact. I didn't find the ending infuriating, but I was floored by the murderer. I read so many, and watch so many, that I usually have it figured out, or at least have a pretty good clue, as to who the murderer is. With this show, I was completely astonished. The last person I would suspect.

Tucker's Mom-

I watched the first episode of True Detective a few days ago, but I didn't get immediately sucked in (ala Breaking Bad) like I wanted to. I do plan on giving it a few more episodes though, since I know it can take quite a few to get a feel for the show. Woody Harrleson's weird accent bothered the heck out me in the first episode though, (is his mouth full of chewing tobacco or something?), and I am hoping it is gone in subsequent episodes. The acting is top notch that's for sure.

I'm almost done with season two of Son's of Anarchy, which also took me quite a few episodes to get into. I fear my love of Breaking Bad has spoiled me. Whenever I watch a new show, I just want that immediate "I can't wait for the next episode" feeling that it gave me. Anyone else have that problem? I too, am a binge watcher and I love that there are so many ways to watch shows now. In fact, the only show that I must watch when it airs now is Mad Men, the rest I settle to watch via other mediums.

FWIW that's the word. Criminal complaint allegedly filed against Kate in Pa 02/13/14 and McGiblets in his state as well before the statute of limitations could expire. Suit to follow. Lots of talk as usual from both sides, who knows if something will ever come from it. If it can be proven that Kate conspired with these folks to cause damage to her critics, apparently this would fall under RICO statutes. Take it with the grain of salt it's offered with and don't shoot the birdie, just wanted to affirm what the OP was saying. Stay tuned.

Joy in Virginia, what I enjoyed the most was when Max said he didn't care about anything Abby Lee Miller had to say

#######
Loved it. He said what many wanted to say but didn't. I had no idea who Abby was (never watched Dance Moms), but I wanted to reach through the television and give her a few good swats. She's annoying as heck, and as we say here, "she thinks her a$$ weighs a ton."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think her a$$ does weigh a ton. I also was glad that Maks spoke out and that Derek applauded. That woman is insufferable. She was trying to show how much she knows about dance and was really nitpicking and didn't connect with the nature of the competition. I also like Erin Andrews. She has a good sense of humour and can think on her feet.

*********************************************************

On the Amazing Race, I too was disappointed with the cowboys' elimination. Now I am cheering for father and son.

I also watch a lot of British television because of the characters and the actors and the stories. Loved Broadchurch. I watch The Bletchley Circle, Selfridges, Doc Martin, Call the Midwife and I'm looking forward to the next season of Last Tango in Halifax in June.

I love hearing opinions of people who share my taste in television and with whom I often agree. There seem to be a lot of you here on this blog.

I have watched Dr. Phil yesterday and today. That woman is unbelievable. I believe the boyfriend killed both children, either she believes his excuses or she knows and is in denial because she doesn't want to lose him.

I can't believe the strength Darby's dad has in controlling himself to keep himself from running over and start pounding the hell out of him. Vaccinations? Oh, my. IF it were vaccs, there would be such an outrage if it were going on. I have never heard of something like that about vacations having that kind of reaction. Those children were beaten and killed.

I saw Dr. Phil asked her to take a polygraph test and asked her to talk to her man to take one and she agreed to take one and talk to him about it. DP said he was afraid they would talk her out of it. Then someone came in and I missed the very end of it, but I saw them all squashed together on the couch and I knew they talked her out of it.

Tucker's Mom, you are right. But instead of bowels, I would of jumped up and started screaming in his face, did you kill my children? And start pounding the hell out of him, pull a Teresa G. and flip him backwards in that high chair. Subdural Hematoma? Who CARES!

She just doesn't want to give up her little Richard. If you know what I mean.

Not a fan of Tori, but will never dislike her as much as some other reality television so called stars. I do agree with all who believe that had it not been for the court, Jon would be out of the lives of the 8 kids he sired. He was selected for a purpose by the ex-wife and we all know what that purpose was. How truly horrible to be used as he was used. Someday the kids will figure some of this out and when the rubber hits the road, look out!

Tucker's Mom said...

Dr. Phil today and yesterday was very disturbing.
I think that mother sacrificed her own children to keep a man.
She capitulated about he lie detector test, but as Dr. Phil predicted, her husband/bf talked her out of it by spinning her into a tizzy over how they were all victimized.
Not to hoard the board over this, but it was disturbing and I think by going on Dr. Phil, these delusional, crazy people who thought they'd get sympathy, will be under incredible scrutiny by the law.

Oh, and even with the horrible subject matter of the probably murder of 2 little angels, Dr. Phil STILL found a way to do infomercials.

Am I right that if they u-turned Brenchel the Cowboys would not have gone? I watched online today.

Oh, forgot about the ironing of the clothes on The Walking Dead.

I remember the aftermath of the earthquakes in Haiti, and how even when water was so scare, dust was still flying, women were washing clothes and hanging them on bushes, just outside the presidential estate grounds. Their reasoning was, atleast if we go through hell, we can be clean. It, as I saw it, was a way to try to maintain some semblance of normalcy in a world gone horribly wrong.

A way to maintain some dignigy and, in a way hope. That is another reason I love The Walking Dead, for those few human-restoring moments, admist the Kaos

T -- There's a program from the 70's that the boys would probably love -- "Emergency". It centers around a fire station and emergency squad and a hospital. It's exciting, with a lot of action, which the boys would enjoy, and none of the sexual drama and escapades of the current fire/hospital shows. Also -- "The Wild Wild West" -- Lots of action and adventure, a little romance (nothing more than kissing) and some really cool gadgets. How about "The Waltons", "Little House on the Prairie" (especially the later seasons, which feature some boys along with Laura and Mary), any of the Star Trek iterations, but especially "The Original Series", "T he Next Generation" and "Deep Space 9". Any of the Doctor Who episodes. "The Adventures of Brisco County Junior". Some of these would be online and the rest are available on DVD. Your library probably has them.

Why I love The Walking Dead...my husband thinks I'm crazy but I always look at what the zombies are wearing and what they might have been doing when they got sick. I tie their personalities in with what they have on and what job they may have had. I guess it humanizes them for me. I also love when they go into random houses to get supplies. I try and imagine what kind of life they had there. What did they cook in that kitchen? How many children? Oh, she was a sewer, etc.

The biggest thrill for me is how they keep surviving against all odds. What's chipping away at their souls? What can turn a good person into a bad person and was the 'bad' person in there all the time and all it took was for hard times to bring it out. Oy...a million questions after every episode! LOL!

I love that too, I think it would be so fun to be on production and set designing, I would create a whole story for the family who lived in the house and bear that out in the props. You could have such fun with it.

I'd love to see a prequel where they explain how this all started when the illness began.

The cinematography of an abandoned downtown Atlanta was brilliant.

You really hit on the appeal of the show right there which is sort of a time tested theme. That is when pushed to your very last limits who are you really as a person? Are you really a good person at heart or a bad? Do you stop and help people on the side of the road (Daryl), or do you look the other way or even confront them and steal from them (Daryl's brother), even kill them? It's a classic good vs evil and makes you wonder what you would really do in such a bad situation. Also the classic what would happen if the law went away. With the main character, a sheriff, doing many things he would never do in the real world, yet represents that last little bit of lawfulness left.

IMO, the Karen-Lizzie situation is one of the most in depth and emotional study of character and morals ever to be broadcast on TV. I was speechless. And how phenomenal was that little girl.

Like I think I said before my only criticism is they need to get a bit more organized and a bit more of a plan. But it's based on the comic books so.

I really think though despite the popularity of this show it's still quite a bit underrated. The themes are deep.

If you are at all into video games there is a FANTASTIC game called The Last of Us which is very similar to Walking Dead. Ten out of ten. It's like you have control over the main character in a really amazing movie.

Ah, exactly. The ironing brought comfort to the women. Sure practically speaking you need to gather food and supplies. But emotionally, you need to iron.

And Tori tells her audience their sex patterns, how much, how little, he is obsessed with her body etc. But she worries about the bump on her stomach where her intestines came out during the birth of her last child (he loves that bump BTW and it doesn't prevent him from getting horny). I can't stop watching it though. It was quite apparent she was a cooperative sex partner (sex on demand like Michelle Duggar but without the religious belief on Tori's part) only because she was worried he would stray. How sad, living such a life of insecurity. Guess she thought by having all those kids he would commit to the marriage. Wonder how many slips he's had since the show was filmed.

Ick. Seriously, these people have no shame whatsoever. No one should want to know that information, and most certainly no one needs to know it! But this is how desperate they must be to continue their easy way of life. No need to go out and get a 9-5 job. No need to have any real education or skill in order to make a success in this world. Maybe they are terrified that they don't have what it takes to earn an income similar to the one provided by their reality show. It wouldn't surprise me to learn that they spend every cent that comes in and have practically nothing in savings.

At some point, the two of them won't generate enough interest to keep any sort of show going. I wonder what they'll do then. I think both of them ought to be looking into getting some education in other fields, or starting up a business of their own that could generate a decent income and forget about the tv cameras.

Since the Cowboys and Globetrotters are gone, I won't be watching Amazing Race any more this season. The Father/Son team annoyed me w/ all of the complaining about being U-Turned. It's a RACE, a competition. Deal w/ it. Afghanimals are incredibly rude, and the other two teams are just weak. I can't believe the Country Girls escaped elimination--TWICE. On the up side...I am so glad Luke and Margie are out. Luke's whining got to be a bit much.

I was also quite put off with how childishly Dave behaved toward Brendan and Rachel after they u-turned him and his son. The funny thing is, he and Connor then used the U-turn themselves on the Afghanimals.

Dave went on and on and on about being u-turned! I think he even said something about it being wrong to u-turn a 60year old man. He complained about it to the cowboys, and one of them pointed out that in a way, it was a compliment. That Dave and Connor were perceived as real competitors and real threats.

So while I'm not rooting against Dave and Connor, I am so very tired of hearing that old guy whine and whine. You got u-turned - it's part of the game, now get over it already.

And all this lovey-dovey about how wonderful "the girls" are, so sweet, so intelligent, so gosh-darned likeable. I agree that the country singers aren't rude or abrasive, but so far, I haven't seen anything that causes me to be in such awe of them either.

Call Me Crazy said...

Millicent - I agree. Dave was doing a whole lot of whining and for no good reason. As you said, the U-turn is part of the race. Accept it and move on. And I think all the gushing about the girls is just race-speak that translates into, "We really want to drag them to the final three. They can't do anything without other teams helping them, so they will be easy to beat in the final."

I didn't know that. I thought he was just an actor. He's appeared on at least a few competition cooking shows against other D listers. That doesn't seem very fair if he's had actual professional training. I think I remember he wrote a kids cookbook or something. Or like cooking for kids? Whatever it was I'm sure it was better than Kate's drivel.

I haven't followed the Tori/Dean/xspenis/marriage demise/true
or false saga at all so I can't comment on their marital situation, but I do watch Chopped Canada which is a relatively new cooking show and have noticed that Dean is getting more comfortable hosting it.

He seems to be quite well versed in gastronomy and when he doesn't know something he asks the judges if his guess at (whatever) is correct. I had no idea who he was until his name came up on this blog.

I love 15 Minutes 101 lessons :o)

Nev's definitely not gay. He was in love with Angela, point blank. Giddy in love. Three hour conversations at 1 am in love. He was crushed to realize she was not who he thought. Actually, his genuine love for her was part of what made it so compelling. As well as how patient and sensitive he was with the real Angela when he found out.

Dean is a total D-Bag. He was married for 13 years to a beautiful woman, Mary Jo Eustace, who is very talented and is or was a co-host on a Canadian cooking show. At the time he began the affair with Tori, the first day they met, Dean and Mary Jo had one son and were in the process of adopting a baby daughter. Mary Jo suspected something was up and Dean told her he was in love with Tori in a hotel room while on vacation. Tori had only been married a year after her parents spent a million bucks on the wedding. I believe Dean thought he'd cash in by marrying Tori because of a big fat inheritance, but her mother only gave her $800,000 which apparently they blasted through. They deserve each other. I do not think the marriage will last.

"Emily Goodhand" cannot be found. It's all fishy.

Watching him on various tv cooking shows, I saw the excesses in his personality play out in the food he cooked. He was always being criticized for trying to do too much with a dish and not knowing how to edit his choices and he seems to do the same thing with life.

He has a personality that doesn't know when enough is enough - whether it is related to sex, trying out too many hobbies, over-medicating with drugs and alcohol, or using too many ingredients in a dish - he over does it. He's good enough to get a job as a chef though I doubt his personality would ever let him stick with it and turn it into a career.

The inner sanctum is by invitation only. There's probably not much else to do in there but watch TV. The ticket into that room (without a ticket you will receive the punishment of severeness) is feeding into TFW's delusion that the ticket winner can be 'persuaded' to dream along that her 'talent' surpasses those who are on TV and will one day be their way to fame and fortune.

I thought Tori getting screwed over in the money department by her mom and dad happened ages ago so surely he knew that she wasn't full of money. Or maybe he thought that would blow over or something and she'd get her due.

The first time I saw the Spellings was at a flea market where they bought some steer horns. They had a couple little ones with them, and then a boy of about ten. I realize now that must have been Mary Jo's child.

God knows what could have been filmed if they plowed forward filming their divorce. We'll never know. But it could have escalated into this disaster in a heartbeat. Jon, the only one of the two with a soul, saw the potential for damage to his children and stopped it. This Dean/Tori thing is sort of a see, I told you so moment. This was what we were talking about. I guess I don't understand why Mady would be interested in preschool shows when she is middle school age. Her whole life is ahead of her and she should be making new memories. A 13 year old hasn't lived long enough to develop a sense of nostalgia.

I know when I was 13 many years ago I didn't watch Mr. Rogers or Captain Kangaroo. I was much more interested in Growing Pains, Family Ties, and the Dukes of Hazard. I would also watch shows that were then running in syndication like Gomer Pyle, Andy Griffith, Happy Days, etc. You know, shows that appeal to a teenager.

On the other hand, assuming Mady actually does enjoy watching shows appropriate for a much younger audience, I would be concerned that she was emotionally or developmentally stunted. It just isn't normal. I don't think that is the case though. I think TFW refuses to recognize the kids are growing up and they are smart enough to play along and avoid TFW's wrath.

Layla said...

It will never make sense to the sheeple. The kids, to them, are only figures on their TV screens, put there to amuse the masses. Not people, and certainly not individuals with independent thoughts and feelings. To the sheeple, the kids are Kate's little puppets. Period. They keep saying that they support her right to raise her kids as she sees fit. Really? Even if the way she chooses to raise them is psychologically damaging to the kids? Just...wow.
I recently saw a sheeple comment saying "I blame Jon for stoppping the show". The show only stopped for a short time, and during that time Kate was on DWTS and published another book. How was stopping filming for a period of time so as not to telesive the kids' pain over their parents' divorce a bad thing? That brief period of time did not cause K+8 to fail. Filming stopped almost 3 years ago because of Kate and her nastiness and greed. Do they blame her for that? Heck, no! But they still blame Jon for taking away their ability to see the kids in pain and possibly acting out as they witness their parents' marriage implode. Sickening!

I have no respect for Tori. This goes back to the 90201 days. She got the part because of Daddy. Once the show ended all she could get was Lifetime movies, nothing beyond that. She has limited talent and couldn’t land any bigger roles.

She must have been surprised when she didn’t inherit millions from Daddy. This meant she had to find some way to make a living. Well, she went the reality TV route. All this did was exposure how she really didn’t know how to do anything because she had servants to tend to her ever need growing up.

Fast forward to now, she continues to live in a fantasy world while still calling broke. She has servants doing her cleaning, cooking and an assistant to tend to Tori’s needs. What she wasn’t planning on was having four, yes count them four, children. She probably wanted to continue to play with Dean without responsibilities. Well, she has four responsibilities now. She needs to quit playing “house” and start being an adult. Her children need her. They don’t need the media in their lives. She cannot be at Dean’s beek and call everything he wants sex. Tori needs to learn balance in her life; motherhood, wife, adult. She needs to take care of her children’s needs before her own need for fame and money. In other words...Tori, it's time to grow up.

I just looked up the reviews on Tori's latest book written in 2013. In the first review this was written":

"AND can someone tell me what does Dean do for living apart from moving from hobby to hobby??? I mean if he's at home taking care of kids while Tori works power to him. BUT throughout the book Tori talks about the baby nurse, the part time nanny, the full time nanny and the live in housekeeper....so what's Dean doing."

So this is proof that in Tori's latest reality series about HERSELF "True Tori", her claim that she gets the kids up in the morning, prepares breakfast, and drives them to school ( shown in first episode) was 100% bullshit.

In Tori's first reality series (I think she has had 4 to 5) about HERSELF, she lied and said that they purchased the inn that the series was about. They never purchased it. It was rented. The series had Tori and Dean doing ALL the work in this bed and breakfast. Can you imagine Tori Spelling doing all the housekeeping and cooking for all the guests for a bed and breakfast.

As I said in the previous thread, she is very much like Kate. No, she probably doesn't hit her kids, but she sure used and still uses her kids for her fame and a paycheck. Oh, she has also written six books, several of them are about her kids.

And I did watch her reality series when Liam was born and the first few years of his life. Dean always made very inappropriate sexual comments in front of his very small son. It was disgusting.

I too believe he married her for her inheritance and fame.

I don't accept this premise either. Of course, I can only base this on my own experience as a teenager, and my experience with my son, who is now a teenager. But experiencing nostalgia for a preschooler's show, or a tv show designed for quite young children - naw, that's just not likely. As a teenager, I was much more interested in watching the same shows as my friends so we could all discuss them, interested in trying to fit in and not look "nerdy" (for example, admitting I watched a show for 4-year olds), and I was already focused on young adult matters.

If Mady is indeed watching some show created for the very young child, I would agree that she is doing it for strategic reasons - i.e., to please her crazy mother.

Let's not forget this is Katie Irene we are talking about here. Mady was likely channel flipping, saw an old show from her babyhood, said "Awww, remember?" and watched for 10 minutes and then went off to a teenager thing. But to Katie Irene that is now a Gosselin Family Tradition. It is worthy of a tweet because she so rarely notices any emotional moments in anyone but herself, she thinks this was an earth shattering event.

People, remember Kate is the one , who insists that the kids, watch old DVD's from JK8, of themselves, to relive past glory, and to keep them in the: we need to be on TV again.

Who is the one who really watches the little kids show: Maddie or Kate? I think Kate is the one who wanted to watch those shows, and got mad, cause, none of the other kids wanted to watch them, so Maddie did, probably to shut whining Kate up.

To the person who said Kate does not understand the norms & social of Kids, I agree with you. She doesn't.

I would think at 13, those girls would be into, the Vampire shows, Reign, The 100, Big Bang theory, Modern Family, etc. Not watching something that is purely for the 4-6 year olds. But I guess Kate is still of the mind set, that her kids are still 4-6 years old, and can't seem to get beyond that age. Could it be, because they taped, JK8 during that time and the show was at it's most popular? And Kate can't seem to move on? JMO

Maybe everyone and everything around you has changed, or maybe you just see it all differently now and cant UNSEE it. And to take it to real basics, how do you cope with things like this when you are literally hungry, something most of us dont really understand the way WD survivors do.

Well, any way, that is how I see the show...

Jennine - I think you asked that question in all sincerity, so bless your heart! It is my own opinion that Kate does indeed have serious issues re men and boys and finds them distasteful (to put it mildly) for the most part. The only male she seems able to tolerate for any length of time has been Steve Nield, but even he must follow her orders. I think that to Kate, men are tolerated if they are useful to her in some way.

She always seemed to reserve her meanest behavior for her little boys on the show, and referred to them as "icky" "dirty" "vomitous" and other derogatory unfeeling terms. So in answer to your question, I would say that Kate does indeed have antipathy towards males, and she's none to crazy about the rest of the population either.

I know. I still can't wrap my brain around their way of thinking. So many of them are parents and grandparents. Would they want this for their own children -- to struggle through a televised divorce, to have their privacy invaded at every turn, to put the kids on display like a circus act? Still, they keep wanting to see the kids, they want to be updated on their every move, see how they've grown up. Why? The Gosselins are not part of their families. The only thing I can come up with is that they feel that they "supported" the show, tweeted their praises to Kate, kept her alive on Twitter, and therefore, they are entitled. That's just sick.

They blame Jon for doing what he thought was best for his kids, and that's something I will never understand, nor have we ever heard of an explanation for their insane way of thinking. You'd think they would want what is best for the kids, NOT what is best for the fans, which includes entertainment at the expense of eight young children.

@Kateplusmy8: Mady&I have recently started 2 watch Sprout Network at night together.. Reliving her youth&the lil shows we used 2 watch together:) #Love❤️
========
Why do I get the feeling that TFW is trying to get either herself or M a gig on this network? Why in the world would a teenager want to watch Sesame Street?

====

That is not out of the realm of possiblities. It could be the Donald had a project on CA involving some promotion of kiddie shows on SN cuz, you know, NBC looks out for NBC. So then Kate has to tweet how she's taken to watching Sprout with her daughter. It never hurts to do a little extra boot-licking if there's something in it for HER.

Yeah, I know it's a stretch but I put nothing, NOTHING past her.

Maybe they are saving the People cover for around the time her special is aired. I don't think People is done with her yet.

He has been married to her for almost four years. That alone should earn him an award of some kind.

LOL - perhaps, like Jon, he will accept his freedom as reward enough.

Re the previous discussion about Walking Dead: I have always that the title refers to the survivors, not the zombies. And the zombie plague is just representative of any life or earth changing event.

Hi ya Dwindle! Great observation. In one of the episodes after the group has to split up and flee the prison when The Governor attacks for the final time, is Michonne, before she re-connects with Rick and Carl. She is shown walking/shambling along with a group of walkers, and she has two of them on chains (just like when we first saw her way back when). Then at some point she looks over and sees a female walker that stirs something in her - maybe she thinks, that could have been me, if I didn't survive.

Later she explains to Carl that she had temporarily closed herself off again and then chose to live life, or words to that effect.

I like when a show or book/movie has such depth that many interpretations are possible and each person takes away something different from reading/watching/listening. Very cool!

Sherri was married on August 14, 2011. So he lasted 2 1/2 years. He deserves more than a medal for that. She wanted to use a surrogate to have a baby this fall so he hit the road back to LA just in time.

I don't know why I thought that was the summer of 2010. I guess I was thinking of her big announcement when she got engaged, which was in 2010. Whatever it was, it probably was way too long for him!

franky,
I thought it was the Canadian Forces! Go CF! The Sudan is bad to hold the food supply hostage and people are dying. The girls that have been kidnapped are in Nigeria.

If anyone uses twitter, you can hashtag #BringOurGirlsHome

I get the Operation Christmas Child FB feed and a little girl yesterday got a shoe box and was pictured with it and so happy. Her name was Diane and she was from Benin. I had no idea where she lived, so I went to Google Earth and found it. She lives in Benin, Nigeria. The same country those girls were taken. So awful!

kate says that Mady is reliving her youth, thanks to Sprout!

Well, she would be if she was almost 40 like you are!

Why in the world doesn't she wash that greasy hair? She's really not a good walking advertisement for her pricey New York City stylists. Get that blond mess cut short, pixie, styled, and colored with low lights,. She would look so much better.

Good, though, that she seems to have given up her hooker look. Gladys, however, isn't going to be thrilled that her girl is covered up. No daisy dukes today!

Does Sherri and Sal have to give the wedding gifts back? lol

I think there will be something in People around the time of the special, whenever that is. TLC clearly has some promotional arrangement with the mag.

I noticed that TLC has the Little Couple now into the renewing of vows on their show. It amuses me that they think they must promote this same activity on every.single.show they produce. Although in this case, at least it seems it will actually mean something...
