Some highlights from the interview:
- Beth wrote Multiple Blessings "absolutely" all herself, and she and Kate had agreed to a 50-50 split of the proceeds. Kate later tried to take back the deal and cut her down to at least a third. Beth had a lawyer and made sure she got her original cut.
- Beth's friendship with Kate ended after Kate cut Beth off from the promotion of Multiple Blessings (despite tweets from Kate in 2011 claiming Beth is still in her life). Beth confirms that is a lie, that she hasn't spoken to Kate "for years and years."
- Beth tried to keep up the relationship with Jon afterward, but it got "messy."
- Beth "purposely" has not commented for years.
Meanwhile, when asked if what Beth is saying is true, Kate responded on twitter: "no." Give it up, Kate.

«Oldest ‹Older 1001 – 1189 of 1189 Newer› Newest»I agree with the trips. Most kids when they are little, under school age, remember very little of trips they took. Kate keeps the memory alive by making them watch themselves on DVD of the episodes from JK8 & K8. Yes, making them, I don;t think the kids have much of a choice. Most little ones care about on a trip is: when they are going to eat, go potty, and get a toy, all the historical, landscape etc, is meaningless to them. The beach & Zoo and local carnival are the exceptions. Beach: if hot out, can cold down, Zoo: animals, local carnivals: going around & around riding a horse. Even slightly older kids, find travel boring, a few don't. Going 8-9 + places in a year as the G8 have, I don't think thoses kids remember much, unless mom makes or only offers the shows DVD of the Kate Gosselin version of their life, to remember where they went. And most of the places were a one time thing.
When I was a kid, I remember, going to the beach, Zoo, riding the bus & subway, going to Woolworths for cheesecake, Goldblatts for chocolate covered raisins, and Walgreens for lunch a BLT. Then sometimes we would go to O' Henrys for a hamburger(pre-whitecastle) & a shake, then to Olsen Rug company to walk through the waterfall and Kosciuszko Park for playground and park activites( ballet, tap, tumbling, pre-school). These are the places I remember the most before I started school. Cause, why those places, cause we went to those places the most. Not a one time thing.
I thought this was funny and a small slap in her face from Robert's book, because of all the plagiarism on the LIITM book.

Just had to comment regarding Montessori. Be careful, because Montessori is a generic term, and schools can use the name without following her program.
********
True, and conversely, there are also schools that do follow her approach and do not include "Montessori" (The Montessori School, Montessori Academy Of...:) in the title of the school. There are a few very excellent schools, Montessori-based, here that do that and unless you investigate, you'd never know that they do, in fact, follow her approach because Montessori isn't in the name of the school.
Good website for questions and answers...

Oh, a couple more things: most of the G8, trips were IN-OUT type. We are here to film, your to look like your having fun, we get our footage(the kids reaction to where they are) and were done. Remember the cornfield, running up & down the steps, they did not get to go and enjoy the place like the other kids, or they clear the place, so the kids had no interaction with others. That is so wrong!

Where did they run up and down the steps in a cornfield?
We traveled quite a bit when I was a kid (age 5, 6, 7) and I actually do remember many of the places and things that we saw, and we didn't do the home videos or watch DVDs of the trips. How much of what the Gosselins remember, I have no idea. I would think that the later trips they would remember; the early ones (like the ski trip/ski school) not so much...they were what, four at the time?

Give it up Brenda. It's never gonna happen.
Also you tutored your son in college? Maybe it's time to let him spread his wings?
Maybe it's just naturally good at Math and it wasn't the tutoring at all.
My family did not have the money to travel when I was a child. We went camping in the summer and had a few rare visits with relatives outside the state. My sister and I are well roused because our parents encouraged us to read and because our parents took us to local cultural. We would go to the library every Saturday and check out new books. We would watch documentaries, went to museums and go to cultural festivals.
Traveling is nice and I would like to do more of it. But, I don't think I missed out in becoming a well rounded individual. We had lots of local opportunities to be exposed to other cultures and world views. My dad also encouraged us to do STEM activities. He would help us build robots and rockets (back before there were programs in school for this). My grandma tought me to sew and knit. Anyway, I think that the parents/family/community involvement creates a well rounded individual. Exposure is important. It can be done while traveling or while visiting local festivals and events.

I believe what Brenda Suckup is saying is if Kate needs a tutor her son just graduated college with a 3.94 gpa and he's a #MathMajor. I don't see where she suggested she tutored her son in math.

Brenda is amusing. She's best buddies with quite a few celebrities. She tweets Kim Kardashian and thinks that she is hot, and she calls Chelsea "girlfriend," so maybe Kate has moved down on her list since she never did get that invitation to her pool. Come to think of it, didn't Chelsea really blast Kate a few times -- and Uggs still calls Chelsea "girlfriend."
Sometimes, however, I feel sorry for these people. It seems like they're really very lonely.

I agree with you. The benefits of traveling can be easily replicated, and do the bulk of your traveling when you are an adult and can appreciate what you've learned throughout your life. You can read, watch great documentaries about places. There are also various community opportunities where people from other cultures come to us, or cultural festivals go on locally. At work we have an exchange program with lawyers in Ireland. They're happy to talk about their country. . Many communities have ethnic areas where you can take kids to eat exotic foods and experience other traditions. There are tons of ways to learn about other cultures and places without going far.
This is different than the benefits of art, music, sports, and summer camp. You can't really replicate those on an iPad.

Ah, yes, she also tweeted Mariano Rivera (retired Yankees closer) to tell him that she and her family were coming to meet him. I'm sure he was on pins and needles waiting for their arrival.
Does anyone else think this overuse of hashtags is stupid? K8 tweeted 'SoLex' and if you look it up, Solex is a heat exchanger company, and then there's K8's tweet about a bird. Lynne in Rhode: I was referring to the cornfield episode, they talk in length here, about how they spent 15 min there, re-filming the kids running through the cornfield, till they got their shot, then they left, did not go on the hayride or any of the other activities. The steps refer to the trip that was suppose to be the museum in Philly or visiting Philly? and they had the kids run up & down steps, several times, to get some shots. I don't think they went in to the museum. It was the place where Rocky was filmed. Where ever that was.
The whole JK8 & K8 was like one big twisted, entitled experiment, in seeing how the kids react to going places & trying things, and telling the kids to look happy, whether they were or not. Kate's version of life.

I remember reading about the corn maze filming that it was over with and the kids wanted to go to the raised stand that was in the corn that had steps where you could climb up and see the corn maze from up above. They really wanted to do it and kate stomped her stiletto in the ground and had a meltdown and told them NO. They were loaded up and gone.

Andrea - when I was growing up, my family did not have the chance to travel widely either. We would go to the beach, or my dad would take some of us kids back packing in the Sierras. We still managed to have a lot of fun. We too read a lot - our house was filled with books and we had a favorite second hand book store that we visited nearly every week.
Your comment reminded me of when I saw George R.R. Martin on Conan one night. He is the author of the Game of Thrones books. He described how as he grew up, his life was spent almost entirely within just a few blocks of his home. His family had very little money, there were no family vacations. But he read a lot and that expanded his world and his imagination. To think that this amazing author, who writes so vividly of other worlds, grew up and spent his childhood within four square blocks.
Um, if your son just graduated, I would imagine he's hoping to land something a little better than a job tutoring 10-year olds.

Exactly what I was thinking. One would hope after four years of education you wouldn't be taking side jobs tutoring anymore. You would hopefully be looking for a career. Not that there's anything wrong with tutoring but usually people who tutor are still in school.
And no one has mentioned this but what's with his mother butting him trying to get him various jobs? Talk about helicopter parent. Brenda, he's not your baby anymore. The man, yes MAN, must be 22 or 23 years old by now. Butt the heck out and let him figure out his own job hunt just like everybody else does. It's embarrassing. Can you imagine even considering hiring somebody for a serious job after their MOTHER tweeted you about them? How much you want to bet this poor guy doesn't even know this is happening. How mortifying. I just know I would pretty much disown my mother if she ever tried to interfere with my job search. Good grief, let your kids be adults even if they mess up their job search, that's how you learn Brenda.
If Mrs. Uggs said the tutoring would be free of charge, she'd be
DM-ed by her "buddy" TFW for available times by the end of the weekend. Surprised she didn't think of that. Rookie mistake,
Mrs. Uggs!
Sad that Zorro, not Alexis, gets a goodnight hug. TFW doesn't even tuck the kids in, just says goodnight and they go upstairs.and doesn't set foot in the twins' quarters except for 'cleaning'- didn't she say the day of the toys being thrown down that it was months since she'd been up there?
As for Zorro, I fear for him with all the manhandling and being allowed out in a dangerous kitchen- any kitchen has dangers for a small creature. How would he know what surfaces are hot or sharp or hold foods poison to a bird?

umm..what?LOL
This further proves that Kate doesn't do any evening chores and she spends her time in her bedroom!
I don't have 8 kids, but close to it. I NEVER spent most of my time in my bedroom when the kiddos were home and it was daytime/early evening. I went to bed after helping kids with homework, getting them to bed, finishing laundry and cleaning the kitchen, trash, pets, etc etc. I also tidied up blanket throws, pillows, shoes, just whatever needed to be done.
But most importantly, it was ME that went through the house to make sure all was well. Kids were safely tucked in, the correct lights were left on throughout the house for safety, doors were LOCKED, etc.
Kate has no idea what is going on in her own home. She didn't even know the bird's cage had been covered up. So how does she know the doors are locked and everything is a-ok?
She's got to be the worst mother on the planet.

Mrs. Uggs will find out very soon or may have found out already not to offer her son up for tutoring math, especially for kate. He will not be a happy camper. I haven't checked but she better delete it. On FB the other day, a former football player teammate of my middle ds posted a picture of a coach which he came across in his things.
This coach was a horrible human being. Cursed, berated, blasphemed the day is long on the players. I made a comment on it and I got a phone call from my son to delete it. He was not a happy camper. I apologized and deleted while we were still on the phone. He called me back later and told me he was sorry, but he didn't want to be embarrassed. It was fine to comment on other things, but not that. I will be more careful!

Wow, the words Humble, Appreciative, and Grateful (HAG) should have applied here. Reminds me of someone else, now let me think.... lol
I was lucky enough to get a full-time unpaid internship during my senior year for a semester, and was grateful for it, as it opened doors in my chosen field. Grunt work was involved as well as some great learning experiences. Would not have changed a thing, and was very grateful to have had a great experience.
Here's another helicopter parent story.
A student (23 years old) was checking in with me as she was going to start graduate school in our department in a couple weeks. The student's mother was with her. After I finished telling the student what to do, how to get started stuff the mother turned to me and asked where her daughter's apartment was. The mother made it very clear to me that it was my job to get her daughter an apartment. The daughter sheeplishly hung her head in embarrassment. I informed the mother politely that it's the student's responsibility to find their own housing. The mother proceeded to give me a piece of her mind. And she gave it to me with both barrels.
Five years later the daughter is married has a baby and its no longer in contact with her mother. Being an overbearing parent can have consequences, and did in this case.
I see the same attitude in Kate. She's overbearing but not protective of her children. Everyone has to do what Kate wants otherwise they too will get it with both barrels.
So it appears that there was no last minute reprieve of a grifted beach house vacation? Thus the long boring summer of chores, with one week of VBS, comes to an end. It really is sad that this is the best she can do. She does have resources, the world knows that, and these kids are woefully under stimulated. It is a shame.

She says that she gives Zorro a hug. She doesn't say that Alexis doesn't get a hug. It is not mutually exclusive. She can do both. Perhaps she does tuck in the kids and they do get hugs. We don't know because we're not there. Do I think she shows great physical affection for the children? No, I don't. But because she doesn't tweet about it, doesn't mean that it doesn't happen.

I'm not sure about that. It's Kate's MO for sure, to get free help, but remember that Kate met her. Maybe Kate's not so dumb and realized a hanger-on-er, clingy person when she meets them and wants nothing to do with her. I would hope that's the case. That one is so deep into the celebrity thing that it's sad. I looked at her TL. She thinks they are all "buddies" and they are excited to meet her. I'm not sure how she expects to land a job for her son with the Yankees. Maybe one of her buddy celebs has connections. and she's just "networking." Ugh, Mrs. Uggs. Kate, don't go for the tutor thing, even if she offers to pay you to allow her son to tutor the kids!
Hasn't kate taken the twins to see Taylor Swift in concert within 4 years ago? TS did this skit on Saturday Night Live and if I were me, I wouldn't have went and taken my kids to see her. Does she not have any pride or respect for her kids? Nope.

Tucker's Mom and JMO, the intern was fired BECAUSE of the helicopter parent! There is nothing wrong with the girl voicing her opinion to her parents, but for them to call a supervisor was too much. They were not going to deal with her more than once. Interesting about Amy2's young friend. I wonder how often that happens.
Our aunt works in admissions at a local university. I could tell you LOTS of stories!
OT: Just saw Sunny on the Kitchen make a quick dessert.
Take a devil's food cake mix, follow directions for a regular cake. Then get a spring pan, put parchment paper with butter so it won't stick in the bottom. Add 1/3 of the batter. Take a bought apple pie, remove tin pan and place it on top, picking up pan and dropping to get the air bubbles out. Then pour the rest of the cake batter on top repeat for the air bubbles. Bake 350 for 50-55 minutes. Take out of pan, make a chocolate ganache, warm roasted pecans on top for garnish.
It looked so good! Something different for the get-togethers!

Helicopter Parents - we were visiting my father in law last summer, and my husband's step mother spent most of her time trying to manage their son's university schedule. And the kid had nothing to do with it what so ever. Just his mom, sitting at the computer, doing it all for him. She also spent time trying to figure out his transportation schedule, and when he should use the library for study sessions. I was dumbfounded!
Here was my parents involvement in my post secondary time: what day do you have to be there? Have fun, don't do anything stupid! LOL!
And 20 years ago, we couldn't book our classes online. I remember having the course directory, and there were assigned times we had to call into the automated system to register into the classes we wanted. What sucked was that if the registration times for 2 courses you wanted was at the exact same time. I stood in the long campus bookstore line for hours to get my books. I actually figured out where it was myself! ;0) I think the only times my parents were on campus, were dropping me off my first semester, and then graduation.
Oh, and my brother in law who had his mom set everything up for him? Dropped out after one semester, and now spends his time washing cars, smoking pot, and playing his guitar.
Now, that I think about that cake recipe I posted, I think a cheese cake batter would go great on top of the devil's food cake batter, then the rest, bake, chocolate ganache, pecans. Pass the Mylanta! With a non-alcoholic rumspringa!

@Kateplusmy8 when do your kids start school & what grades will they be in?? Hope there is a first day of school pic! :)

Let's not, and pretend that you did. Why would anyone want to see a first day of school picture of another person's children? Take some of your own family/friends and be happy with that.

Now, that I think about that cake recipe I posted, I think a cheese cake batter would go great on top of the devil's food cake batter, then the rest, bake, chocolate ganache, pecans.

About goodnight hugs. Jon used to put all the kids to bed. We also saw on a back-to-school episode that Kate just sent the kids up to bed on that important night. Then, in the recent update, she did say give me a hug and then go upstairs , or the like. I think the hugs were for the camera. One episode she was supposed to be playing family games and she picked up Aaden and did hug him- he looked amazed and very stiff and uncomfortable. I think this proves she shows little affection to the children. The kids also seemed to enjoy Kendra's bedtime attention a lot.
I had a student a couple years ago who was coming back to school and taking night classes. She told me about the interns that worked at her place of business. She got tasked with having to pull many of them aside and explain professional attire. Apparently many of them did not understand that your 'best work outfit' is not your 'best clubbing outfit.' She said they would show up with micro minis and stripper heels because they honestly thought 'if you said my nicest outfit...'
Helicopter parents annoy me. A few years ago, I had a student skip a test in my course. He didn't respond to my emails, didn't ask for a makeup... crickets. He took the next test, but because he missed 33% of his grade, he failed the course. A couple days later, Daddy blisters me with an email telling me how unprofessional it was to not allow his son who had the flu to refuse him a makeup, how he was going to administration, blah blah blah. At university, if they are over 18, we have confidentiality issues and cannot discuss grades with parents. However, I was very annoyed because the kid dropped the ball here and tried to blame me for his shortcomings (btw... I'm extremely lenient on makeups because I prefer to let them fail on their own merits and not because I'm grumpy). I couldn't talk to Dad about this exactly, but I sent back a very sympathetic email explaining that this was the first I had ever head of this, and of course he needs to contact administration if his son was ill. In fact, here's the number and email to the Dean of Students. If his son was ill, they can work with him to coordinate classwork and act as a mediator between professors and students. Didn't hear a peep out of them again.
Regarding Kate asking a tup to bring the bird for a goodnight hug, or whatever nonsense it was:
This further proves how disconnected Kate is with her kids and the running of her household.
As a parent, when my kids are home, I am accessible, and that means being in the common living areas of the home. Evening time has chores....kitchen clean up, tidying up clutter, laundry, etc. Before I go to bed, I check on the kids (they are older than K's, but I still check that all is well!), I turn on a few lights in key areas for safety reasons and I check all the doors to make sure they are locked.
Kate, who does these things for you and your kids? And who covered up the bird for the night?
I don't think she does one freaking thing in that house.

Re college students and internships. Oldest was helped by college faculty with introductions re possible internships where she could do Project for credit. she got an unpaid internship and worked on a fairly significant fund raising project for a non profit organization. When she finished her project, they liked her so much she was offered Part time paid position while finishing her senior year. She stayed on part time after graduation while sending out resumes. And yes she did baby sitting to supplement her income.
She didn't think the non profit would have any openings. after a few months, she was offered a full time job there. And that led to introductions and connections that led to her current job.
If you do whatever you do with a smile and to the best of your abilities, it may lead to connections that help you find something even better.

While I agree with you wholeheartedly and seriously wonder about the sheeple, I blame Katie for some of this. SHE put those children out there giving fans the impression that the children belong to them too - proxy parents (or sibs, depending on their age).
On a slightly different note, among all the justifiable criticisms aimed at Katie, her unmitigated gall is astounding.

Wow. That cherry and pineapple combo sounds great. I am sure it was very good!
Agree, totally about the first day of school picture. Needs to be private. I was just on FB a while ago and a friend of mine from over 20 years ago who has 5 children and all of their names start with H! Nope, she was done over 17 years ago having babies! haha
Well, she has a beautiful granddaughter, less than 3 yrs. old, and I have been following her for a good while. I have seen 1K's more pictures of that little girl than I have of my own grandson on FB. It was starting to get old so I started to unfollow a while back, but didn't. The pics have been normal until the last two I saw.
One is of her with no shirt on in the bed with her, but you can't see my friend with the sheet covering her up just a micro space above her n's., bare shouldered, asleep. I was like, WHY? Why would she post this? Then today, I unfollowed her. She posted a picture of her when she had just taken a bath and ran out into the living room and was on her tippy toes, trying to kiss a stuffed dog or real dog on the couch that was up on the top of the couch.
But the point is she was totally naked and a pink heart put on her bottom, but it was barely on. You could see her white self and line in the back! EVERYBODY and the world can see that picture of her when they share it and it goes all over the world! What about pedos? My Lord!!! And all of the women in the family were gushing how precious, sweet, cute, so smart she was!
There is probably a software program out there somewhere where you can remove those hearts and symbols and see what is actually under them. Nauseating!

I asked Alexis2bring Zorro 2me (4 a goodnight hug). Her reply was precious: 'He's wrapped' (instead of 'his cage is covered 4night')! #SoLex
______________________
Her tweets always tell a story. From this one, we can surmise that 1) she is too lazy to go get Zorro herself "(4 a goodnight hug)", so she must summon one of her good little foot soldiers to bring him to her; 2) someone other than herself (kids/nanny/housekeeper) takes care of the little avian creature because she didn't know he had been "wrapped" for the night; and 3) she must let the world know how very much she LOVES and cares about her pets.
Paul Peterson put a great post on his Facebook about kids being used by the sport machines. It was too long for me to post here. Here is an excerpt.
Little League, College Football Players and Artificiality
Every year I comment on the extraordinary stress placed on twelve year-old Little Leaguers whose efforts at their World Series are currently being broadcast to the nation by the Disney Corporation to high ratings and advertising hoopla. Why? What’s in it for the kids?
Then he talks about the competition of kids competing.
And 20 years ago, we couldn't book our classes online. I remember having the course directory, and there were assigned times we had to call into the automated system to register into the classes we wanted.
**********
lol! Mine was worse than that. We didn't even have call-in registration. I went to a small, private college and there were tables set up in the gym and other areas. One table was for English, one for sciences, etc. We filled out cards and then waited in long lines (seniors got first chance), usually more than an hour just to get to the table, only to find out that the classes were filled, and we had to start all over again. Then we'd move on to the next table, Sometimes registration took an entire day and was both exhausting and frustrating. Kids today have no idea how easy it is to select courses and do everything online.

Thanks for all the info (and suggested resources) on Montessori schools. I am reviewing the information to make the best decision. We are looking forward to her learning experience!
Well she's tweeted about the super fun concert with the twins and about Hannah's math skills and Alexis' cute sayings so I guess her next tweet will either be about the boys or Leah. Wait for it.
My son attended Montessori school in Indianapolis.
He was an "only" I thought he needed exposure to other children. He was 3-years-old when he began and stayed in that stimulating class room until it was time for public school kindergarten.
The program was a few hours a day and three days a week. At the time, enrollment there really stretched our budget. Looking back, I know it was worth every dollar.
My little guy made a new "best" friend. Those guys are 44-years-old now. Just two weeks ago, my son flew to California to attend the country wedding of his Montessori friend.
Memories....
I'm Breaking Bad bingeing. Anyone else?
I currently have 3 kids in college this fall. The thought of TFW doing what needs to be done for all those kids is almost laughable. College tours, FASFA times 6 or 8, dropping off at different schools.
My eldest is currently doing a 9 month mandatory internship. She got into a program that only let 35 students in. The school finds all the internships for them in this program. Shes interned at a hospital, corporate work, manor care and will finish up with clinicals. Of course, we get to pay tuition for this opportunity.
The hospital already told her to let them know when she graduates. Internships are hard to find on your own in this field, so she was so relieved to get into the program.
OT- I was in the grocery store today and they have mini grocery carts for little kids and this little boy was pushing his cart following his mom. This man takes his phone out and holds it up to take a picture of the boy and the mom tells the little boy, by name, to turn so the man can take a picture of him.
It just seemed so wrong and creepy.

Thank you Dmasy!! We are in the same boat.
The schools are offering three mornings a week for $725 a month. I know it will be worth it, but your son's experience reinforces it for me :)
The hypocrisy of the sheeple is just astounding. You could bang your head on the wall until the cows come home, and you'll never understand them. The Lauren Sheep is probably right up there as one of the worst (and dumbest), but this person tweeted the following:
Josie Gable @GreenGables777
@Sassccha @Kateplusmy8 Why do you say hateful shit to Kate? You have a lot of nerve
Josie Gable @GreenGables777
@Kateplusmy8 again Kate I am so embarrassed for u. Ur haters are disgusting bitches. Y do u keep quiet when they blast you
I looked at the TL, and it's filled with hatred and vile tweets about Jon. I don't get it. How can you tweet hate to someone and then turn around and accuse others of doing the same thing that you're doing?
Sheeple are fascinating creatures and even though most of the time they are predictable, there are times when they come up with stuff that does require some creativity and imagination...no logical thinking, and some of the most insane reasoning and 'defeckion', but nevertheless still intriguing.
Josie Gable @GreenGables777
if Jon Gosselin saw me he'd want to fuck me. Too bad. Jon Is not my type. he's short, fat, bald and broke.@Kateplusmy8
Another thing that drives me crazy. Kate obviously reads this stuff. If she doesn't want to get rid of her twitter cesspool, then why doesn't she read them the riot act to cease these hate-filled tweets about the father of her children? She's had so many opportunities to do so. I do remember that once she tweeted the Defective Detective to stop reminding her about the haters. She doesn't want negativity about her, but if the fans tweet hatred about Jon, that's perfectly fine and dandy. What a tool.
Another thing I don't understand about Twitter. Kate says that she has the non-fans/haters block. "Block them and join the fun." Then why do they persist in tweeting her, asking her questions, making accusations (some of which are just not true) when she doesn't see them? She doesn't reply, she doesn't acknowledge them, but there are several on there who just keep doing it. Why waste the time? To make themselves feel good? For amusement? I can see that they want to keep this feud with the sheeple going, but why tweet to Kate? It's ridiculous.
Dmasy (#98), that was a sweet Montessori story. Or should
I say Montesstori?
What new story will Radar post tomorrow? It just occurred to me
that it's been a while since anyone tried to counter with a Bad Jon
story, because dude's been off the radar (no pun intended) for
months. I don't know if his silence is from his lawyer's advice,
a court order, or just belated good sense, but I'm happy about
nevertheless.
Blowing, that's one way to look at it, and I confess I never thought of it that way. But the girl had obviously given her mother the supervisor name and number, so mommy could call, so yes, she should pay for that decision. Life has consequences! Suck it up, buttercup, and stuff those envelopes or enter that data and better things may be around the corner! She never had a chance to find out at that company! A LOT of interns end up at this excellent company, in full time paid positions with full benefits.

---------------
She says that she gives Zorro a hug.
I hate it when I defend Kate.
*********
I think Kate takes enjoyment from showing affection to her bird in front of her kids, showing them that "look, mommy can be affectionate - just not with us." It's just another way of hurting them by withholding what they most need from her - maternal affection.
I doubt quite sincerely that she ever just spontaneously gives any of her children a hug, nor do I think she ever has nor ever will tuck her children gently into bed at night, dropping a kiss on their forehead and wishing them pleasant dreams. She does not have maternal feelings, but it goes beyond that. She's sort of an unfunny version of Sheldon Cooper. She finds physical contact unwelcome, if not downright distasteful, even with her own children.
But hey, at least she has those who will occasionally defend her, and I don't begrudge her that.
OT- I was in the grocery store today and they have mini grocery carts for little kids and this little boy was pushing his cart following his mom.
+++++++++++
I'd put his little cart in front of me, not in back of me. With creeps taking photos, I wouldn't let my child out of my sight for a minute. Moreover, I'd ask this guy exactly what he was doing and why, and then we'd have a confrontation right then and there.

I think there are three "reasons":
- sometimes K does see them (and sometime replies)
- sometimes the sheeple see them (and sometime reply)
- the other non-fans/haters see them (and sometime reply)
They often tweet to K when they are really aiming at other non-fans or the sheeple. Because they haven't figured out how to use hashtags effectively.
So people do see their tweets. There's still a question of why this is gratifying for them.

LOL!
*************************
Similar experience with my parents. I actually didn't go to college until I was 20 years old, because after high school, I was IN LOVE and expected to get married. (I want to note that my parents did not try to tell me what to do in that situation either - I was 18 and they treated me as an adult and kept their opinions to themselves.)
But when I did decide to go to college, I had saved enough money to pay for my first year. My mom did travel with me to check out the school I planned to attend, and that was a fun week-end together. However, when the school year approached, I packed my stuff in the car and drove myself there. I never even thought of my parents doing anything for me besides wishing me a safe trip and to call when I arrived.
As a protective mom myself, I do understand the desire to want to "help" your child, but I have really tried not to do things for him. You see it all the time, starting in early grade school. Teachers assign projects and when you look at some of them, it's clear that mom and/or dad put the whole thing together. It's really unfair that they all get graded as if the students alone did the work.
I also got jobs on my own, starting at age 15. Our school had a job center, where local businesses could post available part-time jobs.
I was hoping my son would look for part-time work this summer, but he has chosen not to. I am not pushing the issue, but that means he's stuck with only his weekly allowance. He was discussing a new phone he wants and I simply asked how long he thought it would take to save up for it. End of discussion. He knows that if he wants something, he'll have to figure out a way to earn the money, or else do without.

Did that-4 days and nights straight. I was a zombie when I'd finished.
I'm binging on a film made it Belgium now. It's subtitled which might put people off, but I'm used to the subtitles now since watching so much British TV, some I couldn't understand without the subtitles. This one is called "Salamander." It's gripping. So suspenseful and a great story line. Absolutely love it.
I'm reading about how expensive it is to send a child to Montessori, which I believe is a sort of pre kindergarten. Here in Quebec we can send our children to a CPE daycare which is co- funded by the provincial government. These daycares cost the parent $7.00 per day, this includes morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack prepared by a certified chef. groups are divided by age and have certified educators that have to follow a strict set of activities and stages in the age development of their group. I know we pay a lot of taxes here, but when I see my grandchildren's progression as compared to those that have been babysat by a teenager or in an environment where there are no other children to socialize with, I see a huge difference.

Montessori isn't only pre-K or pre-school. It usually goes up to grade six, depending on the school. Financial aid is available at most Montessori schools. It is well worth the cost and applying for aid, if necessary.
No no no Millicent. Teenagers NEED to have work over the summer. Mine got a job whether he wanted to or not. Time to grow up, son. At 16, he'd better be delivering pizzas or mowing lawns!

Yep. It's great the second time around. It's making more sense now.
Oh it's back on...gotta go..Cancer man is starting.
Math Girl -- Thanks! All of that makes sense, but I'm sorry, I guess I really wasn't clear. I understand the need for the haters and sheeple to continue their battle, thus, the tweets serve to antagonize both sides. My question was that if Kate has the known haters (the "regs") blocked, and if they know that they are blocked, then why tweet to her if she doesn't see them? There is one non-fan, specifically, who regularly tweets to her (and only her) with over-the-top tweets. I would assume that person is blocked because the comments are nasty. Kate doesn't see the tweets, so why do it unless it's for the purpose of letting other non-fans see it and thus comment? You are so right -- why is this gratifying for them?
This whole sheeple thing is just one huge rubber-necking parking lot. It's difficult to look away.
Millicent, respectfully, you're getting taken advantage of by your son. He needs to find his own rides to his friend's houses and he should be working a part time job, at the very least to help YOU out.
The whole twitter thing is sad. Today appears to be more vulgar than usual. I don't know why. Kate says she blocks the non-fans and maybe she does. But I'm willing to bet she goes to twazzup or something to read what's going on. I think she reads everything written about her, good or bad. In Radar articles there are comments and some percentage are favorable. She can say See they like me and understand me; I have fans. She seems to read here. I really don't understand. I may need to be a narcissist to understand.
I wonder if she makes up names and accounts and makes tweets or comments herself. I have no idea but it seems possible. She could even call it work since she's protecting her image or whatever.

Sure am although I'm only on the first episode trying to get other things done too lol.
This is the first time I've watched it beginning to the very end. You really do notice and think about things in a different way knowing what we know now.
I love what Vince Gillian said about how Walter White represents meth, meth represents WW. Totally. On the outside he seems so good but he's so deadly. It's so true.
I really enjoy television when it gets into literary devices this intensely. If you could spin Dickens on TV, Breaking Bad did it. I appreciate how high the bar was set. I can see high school teachers being able to teach quite a bit of English lessons based on this program alone and I support anything that gets kids interested in good storytelling.
Jeanne...116: "The whole twitter thing is sad."
&&&&
Yes, it is, and it's time for both sides to put down the ammunition and act like mature, responsible adults. Nobody is ever going to win. It's like an elementary school playground over there, with both sides coming across as immature little snots. I'm assuming that many of them are parents. Sad commentary on that.
If Twitter is filling some void in their lives, and spewing tweets and attacking others (both sides) is the only way they can do it, then it's even more pathetic. It would certainly seem that if indeed these are lonely people, there should be some kind of volunteer work in the community that they could do rather than spend their days on twitter...for the good of others, rather than the bad.
I wouldn't worry about pushing a teenager to get a summer job. They're still a kid and still do sometimes need that push. I did have a bit of pushing from Mom and Dad to get a summer job at 16 or so. It wasn't because I didn't want to work. It was because I was painfully shy and was so nervous about calling people up or asking for applications. So much so I would rather not get a job. I needed that little "umph" from my parents to be like no you need to get a job this summer, pick up the phone, it's not going to be an option to lounge around here for two months. They didn't ask a lot, just two or three nights or so and the rest I could do the summer work my school assigned and hang with friends. That resulted in me working for a catering company washing dishes and doing food prep and having three of the best summers of my life. Met my prom date, met some of my best friends I still talk to today.
We're talking about Brenda poking and prodding a 23 year old man. That's totally different. That's not your role anymore. Frankly his job hunt really isn't her business at ALL unless he cares to fill her in. But that's not even close to over at 16 yet.
We're talking about Brenda poking and prodding a 23 year old man. That's totally different.
-----------------------------
Brenda pokes and prods celebrities to the point of being obnoxious. How would prodding her 23-year-old son be any different? Once a poker, always a poker! She sounds a lot like Milo, the kind of person whose friends pack up in the middle of the night leaving no forwarding address. Peas in a pod.
She never did get that invitation to swim in Kate's pool, though, and she certainly poked and prodded for Kate to say, "Come on over, girlfriend!"
No, I was talking about Millicent and her son. I don't give a rat's ass about this Brenda person.
And for all the reasons you stated, yes, teens should be working part time. Whether that's a couple hours once a week or all weekend, 16 yr. olds need to hold down a part time job.
Is Gladys off somewhere poutin again after making that ridiculous comment about Beth being a ghost writer who should have written the book for free because she already had enough money?
I'm really enjoying Breaking Bad again. What I don't get is why they're bleeping the cursing. I don't remember them bleeping the original, of course I also bought it on iTunes so maybe that's what I'm remembering.
Being from the Jersey Shore we all waitressed during the summers in local restaurants. The boys were either locker/umbrella boys or did dishes. It was nice spending money and we bought our own school clothes. My son worked as a bagger in the commissary during high school (worked for tips only and unbelievably good money and a very hard job to get you really have to know someone). During college he worked summers at Target.
Interesting. Who wants to ask Kate?
"Self-absorbed narcissists can ruin your day, but a new study suggests an easy way to detect one: Just ask.
That's because truly narcissistic people don't see the character trait as a flaw and are more than willing to admit to it, say researchers from Ohio State University.
"People who are narcissists are almost proud of the fact," study co-author Brad Bushman, a professor of communication and psychology. "You can ask them directly because they don't see narcissism as a negative quality -- they believe they are superior to other people and are fine with saying that publicly."
The finding has a real academic purpose, because there are numerous checklists psychologists use now to help spot a narcissist, which Bushman's team defined as a person who is "egotistical, self-focused and vain."
These checklists typically require people to answer a series of questions. In fact, one commonly used method, the Narcissistic Personality Inventory, involves 40 questions and measure various components of narcissism, including vanity, exhibitionism, exploitativeness, authority, superiority, self-sufficiency and entitlement. That survey may take around 13 minutes to complete, the Ohio researchers noted.
But Bushman's team conclude that asking, "To what extent do you agree with this statement: 'I am a narcissist,'" reliably identifies narcissistic people in just 20 seconds.
The researchers posed this question (along with a note defining narcissism) to more than 2,200 people of various ages who participated in 11 different experiments. Participants rated themselves on a scale of 1 ("not very true of me") to 7 ("very true of me").
How people answered the query was in keeping with the results of other methods used to identify narcissism, the study revealed.
Gaining a better understanding of narcissism has many implications for society, the researchers said. Narcissists, for example, do not have much empathy for others -- a key motivator for charitable behavior.
"Overall, narcissism is problematic for both individuals and society," Bushman said. "Those who think they are already great don't try to improve themselves. And narcissism is bad for society because people who are only thinking of themselves and their own interests are less helpful to others."
Although their one-question approach may be useful in certain situations, it may not always be a good replacement for longer narcissism evaluations, the study's authors pointed out. More extensive surveys can provide important details, such as the type of narcissism someone has."
"And for all the reasons you stated, yes, teens should be working part time. Whether that's a couple hours once a week or all weekend, 16 yr. olds need to hold down a part time job."
)))))))))))))))))))))))))
What if they are going to all the sessions of summer school and spend a considerable amount of time devoted to lessons, studying and projects? Should they spread themselves thin by having a job, just for the sake of having a job?
I read some of the book today and I was just floored at kate's greedy aggressive actions about the refrigerator sponsorship and product placement. She wanted that BAD. Then she realized she went a little bit too far and then backed down and got a bite of humble pie. She backs down when she realizes she has went too far and says, Sorry! It's for me and my family!!! Just like she did with Jen Stocks.
She is so afraid at that point, because she overreacted, it could ALL go away and she could never get it back. That is why she says, You can't go back. But at what price? Bulldoze everybody, everything you can to get it? That person is kate.

So the child is punished because of the actions of her parent (s)?
&&&
I think that's harsh but at the same time an ADULT in that child's shoes needs to tell their parent it's inappropriate and completely off limits to interfere in that manner. IF the parent continues to disrespect that then they need to think seriously about how much information they give their parent.
Time to grow up and part of that is realizing that sometimes some parents need parenting.
Norma, I'm sure Millicent is perfectly capable of deciding what is or is not best for her son. Not all teens "should be" working part time or "need" to hold down a part-time job. That is what you have decided is best for those you are personally responsible for. And that is fine. However, you have no idea what activities or responsibilities or even limitations people you don't know may be involved in or have. I get rather testy when strangers tell others what they "should" do.

Norma said... 123 / And for all the reasons you stated, yes, teens should be working part time. Whether that's a couple hours once a week or all weekend, 16 yr. olds need to hold down a part time job.

Guess my copy of "Parenting Rules 101" was missing the page with this rule. In my house, we recognize that once you start working a job, you probably will always be working a job. So as long as the teens in the house are contributing to the smooth running of the household, they can use their teen years to enjoy being a teen. If that enjoyment includes a job, then good for them. But it is not a requirement.
The summer job thing for teen...
I didn't force my son to get a summer job. I figured that it wouldn't be long before he would have to work in the real world for the rest of his life. Summers go by so quickly when you're a kid. That's not to say that he sat around on his rear end playing video games for days on end. If he wanted to get a job, fine, or he could volunteer in community service projects. He chose the latter.
He helped at the local food and clothing distribution centers; he delivered meals to senior citizens; he helped in a "green" project, clearing some of the community parks of trash; he assisted a farmer, who had been disabled in a farm accident, with some of the chores; and he played on a basketball team, mentoring inner-city kids. He felt that he made a difference in the local community. If he wanted spending money, he mowed yards and he did some tutoring.
I think that those summers benefited him just as much (if not more) than working the drive-thru at a fast food restaurant. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Not at all. I just know what worked for him and that the choices he made those summers really made him feel worthwhile and that he was doing his part. He matured greatly during those summers.

That's great. I think it's good to understand early how to balance productivity/work with fun. It can't be all one or the other or at least it's not healthy. This is how kids develop work ethic and you don't need a traditional paycheck to develop that.
A summer job, or volunteer work (volunteering at VBS or as a summer camp counselor is awesome) or tackling an intensive educational project or learning something new like a new instrument or art form, teaches kids how to balance things like that with fun in the sun. The point is they're not screwing around all summer bored and lazy, which can sometimes lead to turning to bad things.
Like anything it's about balance and as always depends on the kid what's the best way. For me, a summer job worked just fine for me. Especially since it was truly limited to only a few days a week. Also where I was, all the teens worked. You'd be the odd one out if you didn't have at least a small job. My job was full of three or four of my best friends so I also learned that work doesn't have to be a drag you can really enjoy time with your coworkers.
I keep going back to hearing Mady says she shuts herself away in her room all the time. That's exactly what I'm talking about. That's a very unproductive child. She shouldn't be working at her age, but at that young age it is on Kate to guide her to becoming more productive with her time. She is definitely old enough to help out with summer day camps or learn some kind of new project.
Teens working - I agree it's good, if that's what will help your teen. Like Admin, I was terribly shy, and working definitely helped with that. But I also am glad that my parents didn't force me to work for the 2 summers when I was 17 and 18, and allowed me to enjoy playing competitive softball. Being part of a team teaches so many wonderful things that can be drawn from later in life.
My boys are still young. I don't like to over schedule them in the summer, because they need the break from the day to day at school. I am fortunate enough to be a SAHM for right now (I wasn't for many years), so the schedule is pretty free right now. They are riding bikes, playing soccer, going to the park, etc with all their neighbourhood friends. It's good for them. They will have many years ahead if them of stressful and busy times. I even took them to see the latest Planes movie at 8:30 pm last week - it was awesome because there were only 2 other people in the theatre at the time. Since I will be starting back at work in the Fall, I'm trying to enjoy this with them as well.
Anyways, to each their own.

We must have been missing the same page. My kids are on swim teams during the summer. One volunteers at a local pool, helping to supervise day care children and another one helps with crafts projects and sports at a day camp. They love it....they are kids. They'll be in the regular work force soon enough and the stress of school/studying will begin in no time. I'm enjoying spending time with them and listening to all about their day with young kids.
I scrolled past the header on this page and the following words caught my eye: former best friend. Kreider's world is filled with formers: best friend, regular friends, husband, volunteers, nannies, house cleaners, babysitters, dog, film crew, agents, co-authors, boyfriends, bodyguards (unnecessary, lol), coworkers, family members that she still talks to, in laws, adults who loved her kids, companies who donated to them, on and on. She is right: everyone does leave her. And what is the one thing all these people have in common? Her! Yet she still can't see that she is the problem
Circling the drain (#138), yes, TFW sure is the queen of "formers,"
isn't she? That's why it's so disingenuous when she says things
like, oh, a friend who knows me VERY well laughed at such-and-such
article. What friend is that, TFW? Deanna or Jamie (can't say it might've been Steve - Steve doesn't laugh)? Because we are well aware that anyone else who knows you very well is long gone -
kicked to the curb, or ran away screaming, or moved in the middle
of the night (metaphorically speaking).
No wonder she clings to Zorro so fiercely. It'd be sad if she hadn't
caused so much pain and suffering along the way.
In HS my son worked weekends only. In college he only worked in the summer and banked his money for spending money during the year. Wen he was in college we didn't want him to work during the year because we wanted him to study and (gasp) have fun. We told him that once you graduate and get a real job you're an adult so have fun, study and don't drink and drive or do anything stupid. Quite honestly, we never asked him about his grades. He did fine, graduated and now has a good job in a field that he likes.
I feel very sorry for Kate's family who have been shut out of her life and the lives of her children. We are experiencing the same thing by one of our adult children. The pain of being excluded from the grandchildren's lives is horrible. Our loved one apparently hates us more than she loves her children. I completely understand why Beth had to move on. It is hard, but not impossible. Time will vindicate.
We have other grown adult children and grandchildren and for that we are grateful. Part of our family is missing and we are working on accepting that fact.

They're NOT people, they're BOTS. It's some kind of generated computer program:
A Twitterbot is a program used to produce automated posts on the Twitter microblogging service, or to automatically follow Twitter users. Twitterbots come in various forms. For example, many serve as spam, enticing clicks on promotional links.[3] Others post @replies or automatically "retweet"[4] in response to tweets that include a certain word or phrase. These automatic tweets are often seen as fun or silly.[4][5] Some Twitter users even program Twitterbots to assist themselves with scheduling or reminders.[6]

OMG, that is so shabby!
I started working at 16, but things are different today.
It's so much more competitive and sports and other enriching activities can really help kids get into the college of their choice.
It's a shame the G kids don't have those things in their lives.
I sure as heck don't expect them to work at 16 to get a car- they've worked for years and years and earned hundreds of thousands from the show.
Not that it will ever be anything other than Kate's money, mind you.
I hope at least the kids got to spend extra time with Jon, and maybe vacation somewhere fun.
The G kids will probably not be allowed to work because that will allow them to have done freedom. Also as chief abuser, Kate wants to keep those kids isolated...to protect herself.

Krap can not get along with anyone. No appreciation, no gratitude - poof Beth and Jodie. Actually, I think her narcissism made her want to get rid of both of them, because they handled things so much better than her.
Along with a whole train of people, family, etc.. she felt she no longer needed as SHE WAS A STAR. Jon did not want the kids to be filmed and POOF, he is gone from her life. Pattern - all about Krap filming.
I don't care how old you are, but at some point in your life, you should examine what YOU are doing to drive so many people away. I think she knows this, but chooses to do what is best for HER in every case, even when it means ending relationships. And at the cost of her children and family. (There is no turning back said everything.)
I wish I could say I was optimistic for the kids (especially the boys) but TFW is all about doing as little as possible for her kids, while pretending to be a super mom. She is not grounding her kids at all, other than to tell them, about what (in her mind) will happen if they don't film. Change in schools, home, etc.. who knows what else.
I have said this a thousand times, but no one cares what Krap does alone, just leave the kids alone. If she is such a superstar, she does not need to film her kids to remain in the limelight. But we all know, the kids have, were and will always will be her claim to fame. Pathetic.

Maybe it's different around here, but both of my daughers and their friends, as well as myself, had full time jobs in the summer when they turned 16. They started babysitting with they were 12 so they had spending money. You can work at the age of 14 here with a permit but I wouldn't let them do that. I told them 16 was early enough to start a real job as they would be working for the rest of their adult lives. They did not work during the school year as that was the priority along with their sports. They both played sports during the summer but the practices and games were at night. They were busy but they liked it that way and so did their friends. They were the ones that wanted to work but they still managed to find plenty of down time. Because their friends were working as well, they didn't feel they missed out on anything. They never complained and loved having the money. When the oldest daughter was in college, she didn't work during the school year but would save her money from working the summer before for her spending money. The youngest daughter went to the local community college and continued to work while in school. They didn't feel it harmed them to start working at 16.
Auntie Ann... The Moody Blues concert is Friday night. Will give you the 411.
Cruisin... I agree about the Melody Tent when it's hot. My youngest daughter and I took my grandson there when he was two to see The Wiggles. It was hot. It was humid. It was gross. The show was at 11 a.m but they didn't get on the stage until almost noon. It's one thing for adults to wait in hot, sticky weather to see a show but it's another for toddlers. Lots of meldowns; lots of angry parents; lots of people walking out before the show even started. After about 20 minutes, I stopped an usher and asked when we could expect the show to start and they didn't know. WWhhaatt! Grandson did okay but my daughter commented that we wouldn't be doing that again any time soon. It did end up being a great show once they finally got onstage.

I looked at the school website, and it says that students have ipads. (perhaps these are the ipads the girls have been using in recent pics?)
I tried to find out what it costs to attend, never saw any specific figures, but different financial aid cases are given. I wonder if Kate's kids are eligible, simply due to her having 8 kids in school. I hope the financial screening process is very thorough (similar to FAFSA). List of assets, homes, property, trusts, bank accounts, tax returns, etc.
Like I said a day or two ago, divorced parents have a loophole in the FAFSA application. If one parent refuses to help pay for the educational expense (and that parent CAN be the custodial parent, btw), then the 8 could use Jon's financial info and probably receive the lion's share of their private schooling for free. If Kate set up a school trust fund and she's the trustee (and legal guardian, etc etc) she can dissolve that trust and either place it in a new trust or put the money in her own name.
Whatever is going on, it's to Kate's benefit. From her past behavior I can't imagine she's writing a check in full payment for the kid's private schooling.
-------
different topic: Regarding high school and college kids working. For whatever reason, the majority of kids work (work experience, money for personal use, having to buy their own car/car insurance/cell phone, etc.)
My kids never worked in high school. My rule was (and still is) they either did sports or had to get a part time job. It all goes back to 1) keeping them so busy they didn't have time to get in trouble, and 2) they've got to have something besides academics on their college applications.
When they got to college, they didn't work their first year. After that, a part-time job on campus was needed to again, put money in their pockets, teach them to use their time wisely, keep them out of trouble, make future references for their resumes, etc.

Totally get what you are saying. My family spent countless hours with our huge family and very close friends. We were blessed as our family wanted all of us to have extended relationships with so many people. Great memories and good times.
Sorry you are going through this, but sometimes one bad apple decides everything for the kids, at the expense of them having good family relationships, which are very important.
Wishing you and your kids the best in the future. In the meantime, be happy for the great relationships you do have. You often can not change people and their stubborn selfish choices, which is sad and disturbing. Nothing you can do at this point. .
Someone posted a link (on Twitter) to Kate speaking at a Southern Women's Conference--looked to be about 2009 (still had the drunken rooster haircut, talked about the dogs). Wow, she was really full of herself then, wasn't she? Sitting all alone onstage, microphone in hand, with hundreds of adoring women gathered around, hanging on her every word. No wonder she thought she had the "gift of gab"! And no wonder she thought she was such a huge star. I bet she could never have imagined where she'd end up just 5 short years later. Unemployed, alone, no more audiences, no more cameras, no more speaking engagements, no more celeb worship (except from Milo and her cronies).
She has fallen so far in 5 years. Makes me wonder what the next 5 years will look like for her.

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
Absolutely. Part of Kate's "schtick" was how it was simply impossible to deal with 8 children. There was Kate, shrieking, yelling, arm flapping, melting down and barking orders from her guardpost in the kitchen. Then there was Jodi and Beth. Calm, loving, kind and hands-on with the kids. Kate knew they made her look incompetent. If the book issue with Beth and the payment issue with Jodi hadn't come up, they still would have been banished. They made Kate look like a prison warden and they had to go.
When Kate looked into the camera during the RV episode and whined that everyone leaves her, she was speaking the 100% truth. That is exactly how a narcissist thinks. They don't have the capability to acknowledge that their behavior drove the person away. Their deluded thought process only allows them to think that they are simply very particular, and those they employ should know this. The fact that she cannot keep employees only suggests to her that all those people must have no work ethic and must be flawed in some way. Plus, narcissists function on the notion that we still have a class system in the country. Lower class people are to be treated as such and know their place. Narcissists gladly deal with constant turnover in the hopes of finding that one person who understands that their lot in life is to serve the narcissist, put up with their verbal abuse and never question them.
If kate would of done just a little research, she could of snagged free Demi Lovato concert tickets for free in the front for the twins. How, you say?
haha
Demi supports youth who volunteer, which I think is wonderful. I saw on the news that at a recent concert dozens of teenagers were given free, very, very close to the front of the stage concert tickets for kids who volunteer and make a difference in their communities.
Just think kate, instead of the nosebleeds and the trek up Steep Step Mt. in those heels with a former broken foot, with Steve guiding you holding your hips, your daughters could of enjoyed the best seats in the house if you would let them volunteer!
But that takes effort and you are not going to do that. Just the effort to grift for the best and cross your talons and expect Our Lord to get you some more me time with Steve.
The article at ROL posted here is 2 and a half years old. I caught it when it said that ate turned 37 this week. Also, a shot at Jon. It said that while ate was in Sin City with Steve, Jon was partying away in Los Angeles.
In about 8 months, she will be 40.
Oh, in Feb. this year a couple were expecting identical triplet girls. No fertility treatment, no birth control. They have a 10 year old daughter. Just one of those wow, what a great surprise!
Here is the kicker! She was delivering the babies and the dr. took 3 babies out and he hollered, I see more feet!!!! Another baby girl came out, so that is Identical Quads! No fertility, no birth control. They said this was so incredibly random and incalculable.
She is 42 years old! But, she has turned kind a pre-mature white hair and she has an older lady look to her and she looks like she is 60. They showed a picture of her looking at the babies in the NICU and she looked like their grandmother!
Maybe she can get that taken care of when she gets a chance.
jcb, it looks like the school bases tuition on individual needs and I think the screening is very thorough. I bet Kate has her CPA fill out the paperwork.
I've been working, one way or another, since I was probably 12. First as a babysitter (never really enjoyed that), then I did house cleaning, and when I turned 16, got hired at a local TG&Y (earlier and smaller scale version of K-Mart or Target). I was a junior in high school at that time. As a younger child, my parents paid us a small weekly allowance. By the time I was in junior high, that wasn't enough to meet my clothing budget demands lol. After we turned 16, we got a monthly allowance of $20, and that continued even though I was working, up until I graduated from high school.
Because the academic and extra-curricular demands are much heavier on my son than they were on me, I would not be comfortable with him working during the school year. He does the occasional odd job here and there for a few extra bucks, but mostly I want him to concentrate on school.
I will say that I am getting tired of working, as I've been at it for about 40 years now. If the opportunity arose, I'd gladly scale down to 20 hours per week and call myself semi-retired!
Oh, I saw a tv infomercial for what I think ate uses as a hair piece! It is that Secret Extensions rubber band thingy. Daisy Fuentes hosts it. It is so quick to put on and you can wash it, curl it, whatever.
She would of been great to do this, but how could she after she spent what 10's of thousands of dollars on her precious hair, when she could of had Secret Extensions! Shh! Don't tell Ted! Bwahahaha
Remember on the special, she got Zorro out of the cage and she was walking to the kitchen and how closely she was holding him and kissing on him, talking to him, then putting him on her shoulder while she talked to the camera and going through her routine.
It was very strange like, a natural strange that she has done this since day one! The love she gives that bird. When does she ever show affection to her own kids? It is fine that you give your beloved pet love, kisses and rubs and comfort, but she is different. It is strange to see her do this after what we know what she did to Shoka and Nola.
And to let him run amuck in the kitchen is dangerous, unsanitary and cruel. I agree with the poster that she is surprised that Zorro wasn't dead already.
Read this morning that in Memphis, TN that 10K students couldn't go to school because they had outgrown their clothes, shoes and don't have school supplies. I feel so bad for those kids. Some fundraising has started through a Backpacks, Burgers and Beer event.
I emailed Samaritan's Purse, through the Billy Graham ministries who sponsors the Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. Going to email other companies the list of things they need. Praying they help.
Although my son did not participate in organized school sports he has done martial arts since he was in 1st grade. He has black belts in Isshin-Ryu, Shaolin Kempo and Ju-Jitsu and has taught in all three styles. He never received a black belt before the age of 16 becasue he didn't go to "belt factory" schools. He was on the competative circuit for a while and competed in kata, weapons and fighting. Humble brag coming up.....he always placed in the top 3 in all events. He just seemed to have a natural talent for it.

The kids cannot use Jon's financial status to go to school for free. That's not how it works. They would have to have Jon as their legal guardian and Jon's address as their legal address for at least two years. The financial aid process does not allow you to use your poorest relative as your gaurdian for the application. My niece just went through the whole thing. Her father earns significantly less than her mother. But she has lived with her mother for the years since the divorce. They share legal custody I think but the mother has primary physical custody. We joked about using my info since I have very little income but it's just a joke.
I still think that the kids won't get to go at all once Kate learns the new financial aid rules. If you fill out the FAFSA then all your financial info is available to the student online. All the schools do this now. They tell the parents during school visits that if your kid doesn't know what you earn you should tell them now since they will find out.
This sounds like a great program.

Uh, well, okay. If she went, was it with or without her Silver Fox?
Forgot to mention @170 above - his martial arts experience wnet on his college application. Also, when he was in middle school (6th & 7th grades) he was allowed to either go home after school or go to the dojo. During the summer while in middle school he volunteered at the discovery type museum near my office (Ft. Baker - bottom of Golden Gate Bridge) in August. In June and July he "worked" at the dojo summer camp program. We gave the money to his Sensi who in turn "paid" my son. Win win for all because there comes an age when they're jusst too old for day care and since we were stationed in San Francisco I didn't really want him off on his own. They got a good (free) worker and I had piece of mind. The volunteering also went on the college application.
JMO, thank you for your kind advise. It is so painful missing our other grandchildren and we know they must have missed us, too, at first. We have a wonderful support system in our family and pray for the ones who are estranged from us. It just strikes a chord with me whenever people are "dropped" for such selfish reasons. Kate is just "too big for her britches" as my grandma used to say. Beth spoke about Kate's quest for the limelight. She hit the nail on the head with that one.

Well thank goodness for that. It wouldn't be right to get such a discount when their mother has so much money at her fingertips. Money primarily earned by the children themselves, or by using the children to generate sales (Love is in the Mix for example).
Well, if true, Kate is in Boston with kids, I guess this is their summer trip. Hopefully Kate will take them to the beach and other sites in Boston. I think purseboy is there. the one of 2 who tweeted, said Yes, he is, in reference of seeing Kate & kids walking down the street, and one ask is kate & purseboy looking at property? Hopefully the kids will have fun, and we won't see any pics.
Kate's in Boston with the kids? Maybe there's a vacation after all, and hopefully, nothing work, filming or running related.
Whaaat? I live in a suburb of Boston!!! Go home, WOS! Wonder why she'd be here, unless this is the only place she was grifted a vacation to. (not by me) Boston has outstanding sightseeing, restaurants, historical buildings, and beaches and shopping, theme parks, something for everyone. If she is looking at real estate, prices are fairly high here. But what putdown would Kate leave on this fine city?
(If I go into anyplace that is cordoned off for The Queen, I'm bargin' right on in there! )
Peace of mind....sigh, it's Monday.
There's an article online (and video) of Billy Joel singing Uptown Girl to Christie at the NYC concert, with comments about how the two remain close, despite the divorce. One of the comments is:

If TCFW is in Boston, I hope to hell she doesn't come to the Cape.
She must have been grifted a place to stay. I love Boston! Hope she took all the kids. Can't believe Steve is around but I suspect he never went home after the concert. Radar is being played.

Gasp!
I know he had a heart problem and drug problems....
Oh no!
RIP and Nanoo Nanoo, my friend.
So much for people 's theory that Steve was fulfilling a promise to accompany Kate and twins to concert. I think he and Gina are separated and the ROL/Enquirer story was a lie/coverup. Easy to outsmart a tabloid with fake information. The one thing Kate has not accepted yet is that she is washed up as a reality celebrity and does not want the reputation, among all the other bad stuff, that she is a home wrecker. She and Steve deserve each other and all the fallout.
Oh my gosh. RIP Robin Williams.
Damn I can't believe it.
RIP to a great actor

Like I said, I have this feeling that Kate and Steve are going to come out of hiding soon.
They have been living as a family for a long time now.
News is reporting that Robin Williams' death was suicide--asphyxia. So sad to lose such a great talent!

Ugh I don't want to see Kate play the happy mistress to raw claws, I hope he never ever gets divorced.
RIP Robin Williams. How sad, but what joy he gave to so many.

I just saw it on the news. Possible suicide? We were recently talking here about his film, One Hour Photo, and I just watched Mrs. Doubtfire the other night, thinking, gosh...I wish he'd do another film like that.

______________
He was in the process of making part to.
I loved that movie it's how I became a fan of his I still can't believe that he's gone
If she is looking at real estate, prices are fairly high here. But what putdown would Kate leave on this fine city
++++++++++++
Why would she be looking at real estate there? Did someone see her looking at properties?
What shocking news. Mrs. Doubtfire is a classic and really one of the best films ever made about parental alienation. My thoughts are also with Maura Wilson. That movie is part of what made her so huge and she is such an intelligent woman now who speaks so eloquently about child stardom. I know every person along the way including Robin Williams had a hand in who she is today.
I agree chefsummer, it is shocking!
I saw it announced live on Jane Velez-Mitchell. I had saw earlier online Robin Williams and I thought it said something about being sued. So I didn't read it. I remember looking at the clock about 2 o'clock CST and they got the call at 11:55 a.m. PST.
Patch Adams, Good Morning, Vietnam, Awakenings, Good Will Hunting. Was going to do Mrs. Doubtfire sequel.
RIP Robin Williams!
Robin Williams death is tragic enough. Asphyxia is not enough I guess. We already have talking heads trying to tie it to drugs and alcohol. Jane Velez-Mitchell is saying we need to wait for the autopsy to get the real answers. Just because the man fought addictions does not mean he OD'd.
Is this the 1st thing she wants people to think about her when she dies? "Well, she was a drunk for many many years, guess the booze finally got her"
Its just so very annoying.
Chefsummer: I was watching CNN, and they had said that Robin Williams had just sigh to do another Mrs Doubtfire for next year, and he had just finished a couple of movies. So sad. RIP Robin Williams!
NANO NANO! May he rest in peace.
Kate does not open her wallet for anything, least of all a vacation for her children. If they're in Boston, there is a reason and a donor.
But no matter, the sad passing of Robin Williams is far more notable today. Shocking, really. RIP.
