TLC announces Kate Plus 8 will return in December

TLC posted the following press release on their site:
You watched Kate Gosselin plan the sextuplets' 10th birthday bash in June (and have an epic meltdown) and now you can follow your favorite oversized family on their summer vacation and into the new school year. "Kate Plus Eight" will return to TLC in December with all-new episodes! This time around, Kate and her eight growing kids will travel to Boston and explore different parts of New England on a family vacation.
You'll also see the kids rounding out the final days of summer with fun activities, while Kate preps the household for another school year. Teenagers Cara and Mady start 8th grade, and the sextuplets you know and love -- Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel -- are beginning 4th grade. We can't wait to see the kids prepare for pencils, books and maybe even teachers' dirty looks, while balancing their time between friends and siblings. And you can be we'll see more classic Kate moments and funny banter from the outspoken kids.

Now this I don't understand. A chicken had to be killed in order to roast one. What does it matter whether it was one of the Gosselin chickens or one from the store? Why would killing a Gosselin chicken be any sadder than another chicken giving its life for you to rotate?

Unless you're a vegetarian, welcome to chicken.

I didn't read the tweet about Mady and the girls' drawers but why is it she is allowed in their room when the twins' is off limits even to Kate ( ha!) Remember the pounding Mady gave Alexis (I think it was her) when they were just moving in and Alexis wanted to see the twins' bedroom?

I couldn't believe how small the tups girls' bedroom was on CWS- hardly big enough for one child, let alone a hoarder's dresser! Why was bedroom filming allowed then btw!

A rainy Sun afternoon&what r we doing? Going thru kids sock & 'unmentionables' (as my grandma used 2 call them) drawers! #NOTFUN

Fired Up 4 Kate @MiloandJack
@Kateplusmy8 So WHO is on the list 4NEW "unmentionables"? The BOYS here R definitely rougher on those items.... :)

*****************************************

This! It tweets like this from Kate that prevent me from having any sympathy for her whatsoever.

Why is this information even tweet worthy? Mothers world wide have been doing this since the invention of "unmentionables", so freakin' what.

Milo's response was of course creepy but it's also totally predictable, which in itself is kinda scary.

The two of them, Kate and Milo, just keep relentlessly and shamelessly hacking away at those kids' privacy as though they're not even real people.

It's disgusting and frankly I have no idea how either of them sleeps at night. They should both be ashamed beyond belief. The fact that they're not and they continue this constant invasion of privacy and exploitation is just evidence to me that they are both seriously mentally ill.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

This! It tweets like this from Kate that prevent me from having any sympathy for her whatsoever.

&&&

Yes I know.

I find it hard to believe anybody but Kate is going through the drawers. Is she one of those weird people that refers to herself in the plural? We? What 10 or almost 14 year old would honestly want to help her organize a sock drawer?

She needs to hold onto these moments. In the blink of an eye it will be well past the time when it's appropriate for helicopter mommy to be going through a kids' sock drawer. Time to give them some privacy. And RESPECT.

Anonymous said...

Cleaning sock drawers is Twitter worthy news? Hashtag # NOTFUN? She has no idea of the real world , which of course is old news here. Who besides Milo cares. And then Milo goes and gets even creepier than usual. You really do have to wonder if Milo is not truly more than what she seems since TFW never shuts her down except perhaps with the silent treatment. Who lets a stranger make comments like that, beyond creepy, bordering on stalker? Perhaps TFW needs a primer course on privacy. The hell she does, but deaf ears I am sure.

My 'sediments' exactly, Sheri.

And if Kate is going to call them 'unmentionables' then she shouldn't mention them. She is apparently running out of details of her children's lives to exploit, so she starts digging through their drawers.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

&&&

She's always sort of "tinkering" with silly little projects. A sock drawer here, a rotating chicken there, getting a friend to reupholster your chairs.

Meanwhile the rest of America has really pressing things to do like fixing the roof, taking care of an ailing elderly loved one, trying to make sure all the bills get paid.

I don't think she has any understanding how trite she sounds.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Kate will still be tweeting about going through the drawers when they're in college and she finds cigarettes and condoms in there.

I don't think the woman has boundaries.

AuntieAnn said...

Kate is driving her kids underground. They'll be hiding a lot of 'stuff' from her if she keeps snooping and it will be more than just material items if they know she doesn't trust them. She is absolutely clueless when it comes to building relationships with people.

FYI said...

So People, E!online and various other places have published Kate's back to school picture. Too bad she didn't copyright it, she could have gotten some money for it.

Either way, she's probably ecstatic that they picked up the picture, especially People, her favorite rag mag.

She's also probably ecstatic that she got a tweet from Leeza Gibbons about the picture. She promptly started following Leeza.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

&&&

That's pathetic.

You know what the sad thing is? I think it would actually be okay if, once a year, we got a Gosselin back to school photo. But because we get daily in and out updates of every little thing all the way down to the poor kids' socks, it's just too much. Way too much. Once a year show us a pic and leave it at that and I wouldn't complain.

Formerly Duped said...

That tweet is definitely teasing material for the kids.I'm sure they must get teased sometimes given a mother like that and who posts very private things on Twitter. The 'unmentionables' is up there with the "unnerwears" line that they included in the special as well as Joel excitedly receiving underwear for fake Xmas.

(I recall in that Xmas episode Jon received 'unmentionables" from laundry folder Miss Beverley who 'noticed he needed new ones') Maybe males in the G family do not get new ones very often, thus Joel's excitement. ugh, I'm feeling a tad creepy myself, posting this.

Blowing In The Wind said...

-------------

And that's exactly why she can't give up her Twitter. If not for that, then other sites wouldn't have picked up the picture and she wouldn't have tweets from her besties...her celebrity friends. It proves to her that she's still relevant, still "has it."

"I didn't read the tweet about Mady and the girls' drawers but why is it she is allowed in their room when the twins' is off limits even to Kate ( ha!) "

---------------

She didn't specify that it was Mady's drawers that she was going through. She said "kids,"so I am assuming it was all of the children's drawers, boys included, both sock drawers and "unmentionables."

That's exactly what her type of overbearing parenting does. Exactly. It's so sad because in a an effort to seemingly "help" kids this style of parenting just pushes them away. Brenda comes to mind as well.

Blowing In The Wind said...

---------

Most likely because then you'd be eating a "pet." One that you fed every day, "knew" (as well as anyone would know a chicken), and I would imagine that if the kids knew it was one of their barnyard friends, it might upset them, and I could see that it would.

------------------

Yes! And that's what is so funny about the sheeple, always begging for photos, like they need a daily diet of someone else's kids. It's not like she doesn't post pictures on a regular basis. Kids couldn't have changed that much from the "special," but there are the sheep, wanting to see pictures...more and more pictures. Look at pictures of your own family and just leave the Gosselin kids alone. Don't encourage Kate to keep posting pictures or updates on sock drawers. It's just a continuation of the invasion of their privacy.

Milo and Kate are peas in a pod. I think they both feed off each other, and that's just plain bizarre. It's kind of like a mutual cleaning symbiosis. Kate is the sea turtle; Milo is the crab. Both get what they want from each other.

just plays one on TV and Twitter. She is more of a drill sergeant.
I believe she micromanages to satisfy her own need for control -
not to benefit the children. In her case, any successful parenting

I guess I didn't c&p the whole post but I also wrote that in all her efforts to alienate those kids from their dad, it will only backfire on her. They're going to want nothing to do with her when they look back at how she used every little personal detail of their lives for her gain. I think Mady and Cara are on to her and have been for a long time. They will distance themselves from her for their own self preservation. She was right when she said everybody leaves her. I guess I didn't c&p the whole post but I also wrote that in all her efforts to alienate those kids from their dad, it will only backfire on her. They're going to want nothing to do with her when they look back at how she used every little personal detail of their lives for her gain.

&&&

That's right on the money too. A child may want to alienate a parent. They may choose that that is right for them. But they need to make the decision THEMSELVES. When somebody else makes the decision for them, especially the other parent, they may be okay with it at first but when they get old enough eventually they will only resent having such an important decision taken away from them.

Perverts almost always out themselves. They can't help it. To them, it seems normal to ask "which of your children needed new "unmentionables"? Even when it's pointed out that the question was highly inappropriate (at best), Milo can't understand.

---------

That's what is so disturbing about the whole thing. She doesn't think that she did anything wrong. You don't tweet underwear questions to the parent of minor children. You just don't...no matter how cute or innocent you think it may be at the time. She tweeted today that all humans wear underwear. Huh? Yes, but they don't ask a parent which child needs new underwear! She just doesn't get it. Then she made excuses about why she deleted the tweet, saying that she was cleaning up her timeline like she always does. She removed that tweet not long after she sent it. She must have had second thoughts about it.

"Besides all of the back-to-school clothing and supplies shopping, she must also shuttle her massive brood of children off to their first day of classes."

She takes them to the bus stop...about 10 minutes away. That's hardly shuttling them off to classes.

"The Gosselin family stayed home from the actual first day of school because Leah was battling a case of strep throat."

They did? Kate kept the whole family home because Leah was sick?

"Recently it was reported that Kate Gosselin is keeping her children from Jon Gosselin, despite a court order and the fact that he is paying child support as required."

Jon has resumed paying child support?

"Kate Gosselin has more than 215,000 Twitter followers, which explains why she still manages to trend on the internet, despite her lack of a successful TV show in recent years"

I didn't realize that paid bots would be a contributing factor to trending on the internet.

Really? Do you have a link or other info regarding the prison history of the person who runs BV files?

Either way - whoever runs BV files is clearly intelligent, is very good at computer research and regular research, and has exposed the very ugly truths about James McGibney and his associates. Whether it's someone who once served prison time or not, that is important information especially for anyone targeted by McGibney.

And many people have served time in prison. Once they've served their sentence, they are released back into society. Used to be they were considered to have paid their debt for their crime. If from that point on, they are law abiding, seems like that ought to still hold true.

Exactly, that's not a deal breaker for me and it seems perplexing to keep bringing it up. Depends on what it is too. If it's murder or a sex crime, that's one thing.

But there are numerous crimes that do not in and of themselves make you dangerous or your opinions on matters not credible. Orange is the New Black is a true story about a woman who, when she was an extremely young woman, was involved in the drug trade. Once she realized the error of her ways, she stopped completely and reentered society as a law abiding citizen. Just before the statute of limitations expired the government pressed charges as part of a big bust. So she went to prison for less than one year. She made a mistake. A bad one. But she admitted to it, and did her time. She was a successful professional I believe worked in magazines. Is she not allowed to return to society and resume her professional career? Read her book, it's very good. I don't think Piper Kerman (her real name is not Chapman) is a bad person or a danger to society. I think she was a dumb kid who paid dearly for her mistakes and has a right to move on now.

LOL - I seem to be jumping in to "defend" BV Files, which is not my intent.

I will just say that the court documents I saw linked on BV Files contained the name of the court the lawsuit was filed in, a case number, the names of the parties, and almost always an endorsed-filed stamp. That the date stamp that goes in the upper right corner of the first page of any document filed with a court. The clerk stamps that on the original, and also will provided a "file-endorsed" copy for the party filing the document.

With all those things showing on the linked court documents, I tend to believe they are genuine. It would be so easy to prove them false, because all one has to do is take the time to do a little research on that particular court's website - look up the case name or the case number. If it's a phony, that's easily proved.

Since BV Files has had those court documents linked for quite some time, I'm pretty sure they are real.

I also don't think it's fair to judge a web site on its comments. I judge the individual of the comment, not the web site.

There are several very mainstream web sites that are full of vile comments. This is nothing. Take a gander at CNN's comments sometime and see how many internet trolls and angry, vicious people there are out there who comment on web sites.

I find CNN.com extraordinarily helpful in getting a very quick, 5 minute basic run down of the top stories of the day each morning. Especially since I have severely limited my news intake lately for various reasons (read Mr. Money Mustache's post about this). I don't really care that there is some epic fight on the economy story of the day or that there are a couple crazies posting about politics. It has nothing to do with the validity of the story itself and I'm not sure why one would give such weight to such comments or hold sites responsible. Like another poster said some sites have chosen not to heavily moderate. Some very mainstream ones. That's not right for my blog, but I don't fault other blogs for letting it rip.

I noticed on the Little People update special tonight they called upcoming specials a "season." I'm not aware this show is truly back on a regular basis. It sounds like maybe 2 or 3 update specials about the older boys' weddings.

I kind of wonder how if TLC is playing fast and loose with "seasons" only to air just a couple update specials. If that's the case great, less filming for the kids.

I think only a few people here could actually give an accurate rundown of the saga. I myself haven't read there and ages and don't plan to. It's completely boring to me. I also wouldn't worry about the critical thinking skills here, posters are well capable of deciding for themselves what they want to read, what they want to believe, and who is credible without lectures.

FYI said...

From what I've read, the new "season" of LPBW consists of 5 episodes. This article was linked on their FB page.

http://www.thewrap.com/tlc-sets-little-people-big-world-return-its-a-roloff-wedding-exclusive/

From that article:

"Jeremy Roloff's wedding with longtime girlfriend, Audrey Botti, caps off the five-episode new season. Fans will watch as Jeremy plans the proposal to Audrey and it all culminates in a wedding on the farm, something Jeremy has always wanted."

Another article also states that it is a 5 episode "season":

"Oregon's Roloff family and their Helvetia-area farm return to TV screens on Tuesday, as TLC begins a new, five-episode season of "Little People, Big World."

http://www.oregonlive.com/movies/index.ssf/2014/09/oregons_roloff_family_returns.html

I guess if it's more than 2 "specials", TLC considers it a "season". So I would think that the new episodes of Kate plus 8 will be maybe a total of 5 episodes tops.

I took a look over there because it was mentioned here and I was curious. Since I don't have Twitter, there is no way on this side of the Mississippi that I could figure out who these people are, nor is it even on my radar to try to wade through all of that and make a feeble attempt to dissect it. I will say, however, that even though I have no idea who put that blog together, the person (or persons) clearly knows something about court proceedings and did a considerable amount of research on these people, their past histories, and has informants out there who do contribute to the whole saga. The documents appear to be credible, not faked. It doesn't seem that this has been slapped together haphazardly. It took time and digging to lay out what has been presented.

That said, if any of this is true, and BV and his minions are under scrutiny for these acts they allegedly committed, I hope that this has put the fear of God in them, and their misdeeds do not go unpunished under the law.

Ah cool, thanks for finding that. I had a funny feeling they didn't have a REAL season. Sure enough.

That's TLC again, what do they care if they mislead people. These things have industry wide common definitions, and a season in the industry is, at bare minimum, 13 episodes and usually more like 23. To try to call 5 episodes a "season" is just silly. And, I think it's EXACTLY what they're doing with their new "season" of Kate Plus 8. A five episode, or perhaps even less, consolation prize and she's outta there.

5 episodes calling it a season is quite the stretch and IMO, misleading. That is a miniseries or "specials." By the way tonight's Little People was very boring. I think they've overstayed their welcome. They never even featured Jeremy's girlfriend more than a few seconds to care about his proposal to her. We know nothing about her, and perhaps that was her own decision since Zack's fiancee is featured all the time.

If this were the UK, people would be used to shows having sub-13-episode seasons. A season (or, as they call it, "series") for Sherlock is three 1.5 hour movies. The IT Crowd's first series was four half-hour episodes. Top Gear does about 7-8 episodes a series, and they've had 21 series over a span of twelve years.

In the US, short seasons have been used to finish up shows. La Femme Nikita had an eight-episode 5th season after USA Network got a ton of angry fan mail when USA decided to cancel La Femme Nikita long after the 4th season had finished on a cliffhanger. The reboot, Nikita, got 6 episodes to wrap things up after The CW decided the 4th season would be the show's last. Instead of a regular 22-episode order, Glee had that trimmed to 13 for their final season.

So it's plausible that TLC could be doing a mashup of contractual obligation and finishing off the series. The ratings may have been OK for the last special, but that was because the kids hadn't really been heard from in a few years. A regular series order would kill that curiosity factor.

**********
Unless the Gosselin kids can refuse filming, or Jon can put a stop to it on their behalf, mark my words, we're going to see more "specials" or limited seasons until they are 18, and maybe beyond.
When the twins/tups; begin high school, turn 16 and learn to drive, graduate high school, go off to college, will all be fodder for future filming.
The wild card might be Kate getting remarried once filming prospects for the kids dry up.

I don't think the public at large holds anything against the kids, so they'll tune in to see them growing up, as sad as that is.
I don't think Kate on her own could carry a show.
I sort of wish she could.

Don't expect those kids to ever get a chance to recoup their privacy. It's just not going to happen, unfortunately.

You can't put the toothpaste back in the tube ;(

I do a quick check in at least daily on a few sites, to get different views.
CNN, Fox, MSN, HuffPo, WaPo.

In nearly all cases, comment sections dissolve into bickering, name calling, personal attacks and finger pointing.

This blog is RARE in the fact that the comment sections expound on the topic, and even off topic, like when we reminisce, are great exchanges.
The vast majority of comment sections are nasty, and very rarely, a veranda like ours.

If this were the UK, people would be used to shows having sub-13-episode seasons. A season (or, as they call it, "series") for Sherlock is three 1.5 hour movies.

I just think that Kate and Little People will take whatever they can get to continue filming, even if it's just a handful of episodes.
Sure, they'll bitch about the downside of filming, and claim they want to go back to being private citizens, but ultimately, they can't get off the TLC tit.

Yes Sideline, but this isn't the UK.

I still think it's deliberately misleading to call episodes you can count on one hand a season. What it is is they came out to film for a couple weeks and then STREETTTTCHED out the footage into five episodes, nothing more nothing less.

Especially since TLC is actually known for producing way more than the normal 20-something episodes.

The sheeple have now been told it's a "season." I can't imagine their confusion when and if the season only consists of one New england trip STREEETCHED out into several episodes and maybe a token back to school episode and it's over.

If you're a frequent reader at CNN, you'll notice that very few articles have comments any more, and those that do seem like they have a handful that slip through before being closed down. I usually skim the comments to get an idea of how the public is viewing a certain event. The trolls were taking over and it's unfortunate that having civil discourse was becoming impossible.

Yes they don't allow comments on some of the most controversial articles. Today's ISIS video doesn't have a place to comment. If you go over to the fluff articles about entertainment or the economy or Naked Celeb hack. I looked at the comments on that article and they're pretty tame this morning, but a couple people can't help themselves and divert off topic to talking about ISIS saying really nasty things, and there's people getting pretty snippy now and again:

You know what this is also? Big surprise, TLC using these families. Not committing to any long contracts or episodic obligations. Throwing them a bone every now and again to put out spurts of a couple specials or episodes. See how they do, and if they do well, go back to the source for another spurt or two. This is a way not to lock themselves into any long commitments, but at the same time leaves these families in a constant state of uncertainty about what will happen next, instead of being able to relax into a nice long contract. The Little People and the Gosselins have both been working for them for years and years now. And this is how they treat their talent, by stringing them along?

This is not how good people do business. Either go all the way with your talent or get off the pot. Stringing talent along generally should be frowned upon, and I can't imagine most "real" talent and their managers would be okay with this treatment for at MOST anything more than ONE test run and then after that you need to give them a long term contract.

FlimsyFlamsy said...

And this "stringing along" method is especially sketchy when it come
to a family with young kids like the G's. They're at the age when
(supposedly) they have afterschool activities like sports or classes - things with particular schedules that can't just be switched around
at the drop of the hat.

In my gut, I think that's as much a reason as any that we don't
hear about the G kids doing soccer or theater camp or gymnastics
or horseback riding - only about C's lacrosse. Besides TFW's
obvious reluctance to open her wallet for anyone but herself,
and her laziness about having to drive hither, thither and yon,
I believe she wants to be able to show TLC she's ready to get
back in the saddle at a moment's notice: "You want to come
over to film tomorrow afternoon? Well, bring on the crew

I've watched about 3 minutes of that show, but isn't complaining all the Matt does?

I think what's fascinating is that at this point, we are seeing generational effects of reality tv filming of children.
Children pretty much raised on reality tv are now getting married and having their own children on reality tv.
The cycle just continues on for the Duggars and Little People.
The spin off possibilities are never ending for these families who exist at the ends of the bell curve.

EXACTLY.....dollars to donuts they want her to drop things just like that. The kids are WAY too old for that sort of nonsense, but it's happening.

Remember her "good news" phone call she got this summer? She had to play it off like it was braces but I think most of us have speculated that was her confirmation of filming. That was made not but a week or two before filming began. So if our suspicions are correct, and I believe they are, TLC is indeed both stringing her on and having her sign on the dotted line at their total whim and fancy often just a few weeks before leaving. That's way too late to try to accommodate kids' sports and activities and camps, so the best solution is to never sign them up in the first place.

They know they have her over a barrel and can play this however they want to their maximum advantage. However it's neither respectful of the family, or good business. Not that I expected anything more. This is not how you treat talent, TLC, I don't care who they are. Even Kate Gosselin.

Tucker's Mom said...

I just don't know how TLC can expect the Gosselins to be able to fulfill a contract for full-on filming, pumping out as many episodes in the insane fashion that they did for J+K+8 and Kate +8 now that 8 kids are in the full throws of a demanding education.
It's insane to think that those kids can perform well in school AND tolerate the blistering filming and traveling schedule that they had.

I hope those kids never get signed up for the demanding filming schedules that they were obligated to when they were younger, and in lower grades where the homework etc. demands were less.

It's simply nuts to entertain the notion now. Heck yes, Kate would take the opportunity in a heartbeat, but would TLC risk looking like 19th century tabacco farmers?

When we talk about what'll happen regarding specials with the

in that the pendulum may've swung back the other way by then.
The term "reality shows" may be out of vogue, and maybe even something looked back on with shame, or just amusement, like,
what the heck was that about?

The landscape of TV is changing drastically. Five years ago, you would've laughed if someone told you Amazon and Netflix would
be producing succesful shows: "Oh, yeah, sure, who's next --
KMart? Burger King? Edible Arrangements?" While TFW has
far outlasted her 15 minutes, there is no guarantee that there
will be any place for her at all a few years down the line in the
medium which is the focal point of her, heaven help us, career.

I think that the anonymity of the internet can bring out the worst in some people. There is an op-ed writer for a local paper who draws very personal criticism that has nothing to do with whatever topic she wrote about in a given column. As Flimsy said above, the landscape of TV is changing and by the time any of the G8 are old enough to have some sort of spin off, reality TV may be a thing of the past and as the G8 get older (and wiser) TFW won't be able to get away with not giving them their fair share of the earnings. Neither Kate nor Jon can compel them to go to college.
As Kate says, all the damn time, filming is their normal. Well, guess what? It doesn't turn off like a faucet when they turn 18!
Those kids have seen their parents make millions and live the 1% lifestyle because of being on reality tv.
What incentive do they have to work hard on a degree (or more) and make only enough money to live a mediocre life?
They will more than likely be offered gigs on tv, if not their own shows, and so it goes...

I don't think reality TV will ever go away, but I think shows about families like the Gosselins, Duggars, Roloffs, etc. will eventually disappear.

It seems that more and more, reality TV is gearing towards the more sensational, outrageous, and salacious. I think "wholesome" family shows have reached their prime and will eventually fade away.

I just read where WeTV is going to have a new show called "Sex Box". This is a synopsis of that show:

"The show is an American adaptation of the UK Channel 4 series of the same name that sought to “reclaim sex from pornography” (their words) by having couples step into a giant box erected on the set, have sex inside of it, and then emerge for a post-coital chat about their seven minutes in heaven—or hell—with a panel of sexperts.

“Sex Box is one of the most unique and compelling show concepts we’ve ever seen, and we can’t wait to bring it to WE tv,” said Marc Juris, WE tv’s president. “Our featured couples will get a once-in-a-lifetime experience, while our viewers will get the kind of bold, break-through-the-clutter programming they increasingly associate with WE tv.”

“Once each couple enters the sex box, our experts discuss their initial observations, ranging from what they think is happening inside the box to whether or not the relationship will survive,” read a statement by WE tv. “Immediately upon exiting the sex box, each couple sits down for a heart-to-heart with the expert panelists to discuss what just happened, how they feel, and how they’re planning to overcome their issues.”

Hmm--maybe Kate and Steve can apply to be on the show.

Legal details/issues not obvious to the general public? I guess Milo doesn't consider herself the "general public" because she acts like she know what she's talking about. If prolonged court proceedings cost lots of $$, why did Kate even sue in the first place? Did BV convince her it was a slam dunk, and Jon and Robert would give in and not fight it?

olivia walton ‏@lovemedietcoke · 14h
@MiloandJack huh?If even1thing in that book is not true. She shld sue him.i would. Most people would not want 2 be known as a child abuser!

But Milo, Kate said that the reason she filed the law suit was because"It has to be done for the safety and the future of my kids,"

Sex in the Street, How about Sex at Xmas during Black friday, at any store, at the entrance or I don't even want to think about Sex with any living creature(SICK!).

How low can these channels go? How low are people in society willing to go? I see many of our young people write sex off as an everyday thing, like breathing, until they get a social disease, or pregnant, or a bad rep, then it's everybodys fault, except their own. No common sense, respect, self respect, or any regard for any kind of law. Shame on these channels and those young people, who have no respect, for themselves or anyone or thing else, and no common sense.

Agreed. There is no way they should "need" to film, except that they squandered the TLC money they earned previously. It's a reminder of human nature. We hear of lottery winners who blow through their millions and end up broke once again. I always shake my head and wonder how that happened. There must be something in our genetic make-up that makes many of us simply refuse to face reality.

Same thing with reality tv participants. They get so caught up in the money and the excitement, that they believe it will go on and on forever. All around them, they ought to see the reality as shows get canceled and former D-listers fade away, but I guess they think they are different. And they keep spending that money until it's all gone.

I am pretty sure that's what happened with the Roloffs. As fast as that money came in, it went right back out the door.

I watched both shows, the Duggars and Little People:

Little People: The oldest just graduated, he is trying to dig out a life for himself and a wife, away from the farm. Which, I notice bugs & disappoints Matt. Matt, is having a hard time letting go of people & things. He wants everyone to do what he wants, he wants them to live the way he wants and he wants the kids all of them to take over the farm. Amy is glad, whether she admits it or not, that her kids are leaving the nest. I think she would leave the farm too in a minute if she were not invested. Matt always comes off to me as a control freak, who will have a hissy fit if he does not get his way, and if people don't agree with him, he will do it anyway. He has no respect for anyone opinion but his own. I see why his kids are leaving.

Duggars, you know I might not agree with a lot of their ways of living, but you know, they are nice to people, they will stop and talk to people even take a pic, unlike a certain self important, public are diseased scum mom we all know. I have never seen any of the kids fight, or either parents scream or drama queen at any of the kids.

As for K8 being put on in December: bad time to put any new show on, cause most of regular TV and Cable are ending for Holiday shows & the holidays. Also, a lot of people are working extra jobs, Xmas shopping, making cookies, going to parties. Who wants to watch a family of mediocres: fight, get freebees, summer vacation , start school, which was 4 months ago plus, BORING! If I were Kate(which I'm glad I'm not!) I would be all over TLC, for putting the show on in December, and not on now. On perhaps that is TLC, idea, to get bad ratings, so they don't have to film any more.

Wouldn't you hate to be the "not-a-nanny" babysitter/housecleaner/spy that had to clean the "box" after kate and Steve?

She is just that horrible to make her do that dirty job!

&&&&&&&&&&

Not if they just sat in the box and Kate fed him pizza in foil, careful not to drop anything on the floor. Nothing to clean up there.

What ever happened about the gingerbread house that kate refused the kids to eat when they made it or bought it? The nanny just fed it to them. kate would of noticed it gone. I wonder what she said about it when or if she confronted the nanny about it.

I wonder if Inspector Gadget was on the job or kept it under wraps.

Reminds me of Shoka outside and her petting Nola? That is sociopathic behavior.

Agree with you, get off twitter, the December time slot for a back to school and summer vacation show is... Bizarre. TFMJG is boring. Definitely a filler show.
Meanwhile, another season of DWTS is coming our way! Cast includes CARLTON from The Fresh Prince! Yes, Alfonso Ribeiro will be on the show! Along with Antonio Sabato Jr what a hunk! Lolo Jones fills the Olympic contestant spot! Janel Parrish fills the ABC-Disney starlet spot! She is on Pretty Little Liars on ABC Family. Lea Thompson takes the female star of the eighties/nineties spot. Its rumored a Duck Dynasty teen, the one who has modeled, will take the realty TV celeb spot. Other rumored participants include ”a YouTube sensation” Bethany Mota, and a Nascar driver Michael Waltrip, Jonathan Bennett from” Mean Girls”, and filling the geriatric but funny spots will be designer Betsey Johnson and comedian Tommy Chong. Maybe Cheech will be in the audience!

PA Dutch Mom (#6), TFW used that expression back when J & K
were supposed to accompany all 6 kids on individual special days.
Jon went to all of them, but K skipped all 3 of the boys' days, saying
she didn't want to have to go "hither, thither and yon" to these
outings. I think she also threw in something about the boys
needing more one-on-one time with their father. I wasn't even
on to her yet and thought, hmmmm, how come she don't like to
spend time with her sons?

Joy 15. I am familiar with Michael Waltrip, Lolo Jones, Tommy Chong and Antonio Sabato Jr. That's more than most years. :)

hahaha! Nothing to see there, either. Oh, she will drop some crumbs on the floor, remember how bad her hands were shaking doing the lines on the fake cake for the special? Then she will have to go grab that big vacuum and bounce it across the tile floors, tile steps and slam the big box door behind her and vacuum it up!

Second, why would anyone watch it? (Not rhetorical, I seriously have no idea what the appeal would be.)

&&&&&&&&

Voyeurism at its best (or worst)...same people who watch Dating Naked or a guy having sex with his car. They get off on it.

I don't know any of those people. I think I need to get out more.

I hope one of Alfonso Ribeiro's dances includes the "Carlton dance". I used to love it when he did that.

Admin, just catching up and I agree, Kate has no awareness of how "trite" she sounds! No awareness of many, many things, including what is best for her own family. She is just offensive to most "mediocre" hard-working people.

I thought 'hither, thither and yon' was an expression from nursery rhymes like long ago and far away...maybe it us a regional thing, though! Weird anyway as an excuse, and typical Kate not wanting to be with the boys.

OT Little People - the oldest boy has graduated from a photography school and is working with a friend doing weddings in their hometown. He will be getting married on the farm (for another episode). The little twin is still working at an indoor soccer school and is engaged to a normal sized girl who has been on the show for a long time.

Moly left town to get away and I don't know if she will ever be back.

Their house is a mess. Matt wanted to get a cleaning lady and she said
she did not want anyone messing with her stuff. The boys slept on mattresses without sheets.

They are separated and Matt lives in an immaculate building on the farm.
I would not eat any of the food from her dirty kitchen.
They are another family that needs to go.

And completely off topic (sort of), but the picture attached to a tweet tonight really does show the non-existent good bra in all its glory.

Wow. I don't remember ever seeing that picture. Those girls are really enjoying their outing, saluting the flag and singing the Star Spangled Banner.

I wonder if Milo printed that one, framed it, and has it on her night table, or if it's among those pictures she used to wallpaper her bathroom. That's one she certainly couldn't have missed.

===============

HAHAHA - "O say can you seeee?"

"Why, yes, we can see them quite clearly." They do see to be marching over those ramparts.

And then there's this gem from Milo:

Fired Up 4 Kate @MiloandJack · 19h
@Kateplusmy8 Oh my >> #CelebPhotoHacking !! Sure was glad 2see that U were NOT on that list! LOL #NotTheKindOfThingYouWouldDo :)

Ha! You know Milo was hoping when she scanned that list. She would have been giddy. She'd get a three-for-one: blame the ex, indignantly defend Kate, AND get a new bedside table photo!

So did I! It's not unusual ... lol! I'll bet he'll do very well on DWTS.
