I have had companies work hard to resolve issues and I am a memoir or person. You call the number, or take it for repair. Once, apple fixed my computer for free even though the water damage was my fault because I set the laptop on a counter with some condensation on it. The water came into one small corner, and shorted the logic board. I did not ask for this special treatment but I am a long time customer so they offered the one time repair for free. I was not expecting it but it made my day.

I found Kate's comment about hoping a bucket holds water to be so passive aggressive and ungrateful.

I don't think it's some mental shortcoming or glitch that keeps TFW
from thinking ahead about how something she says or does might

goal was to get something free, with as little effort as possible.
She didn't, so she tossed off a not-so-subtle insult at the company.
Notice that the tweet was sent to her biggest fan, whom she'd
been ignoring for weeks until this incident. But that fan puffed her
up by reminding her she's important and influential, and that companies would be smart to keep her happy. Perhaps TFW
was looking to her to fight her battle, and continue to badger

fan, and she can play victim again. It's win/win!

TFW always has to make it about herself and her entitlements. From what I've read it appears the handle on the collection bucket of the dehumidifier broke and the bucket then dropped on the floor and either tumbled over or maybe broke too. Frigidaire replaced it under warranty just like they would for any other customer. Using the words "offered me" implies there was a negotiation and she could have asked for more. They honored their contract, nothing more, nothing less; unlike TFW who broke all those contracts with the churches once her publicist realized they could get more money with other speaking engagements.

Yeah I'll take a few gallons any day over what happened to our house during a terrible ice storm years ago. Entire downstairs flooded. I remember two feet of water everywhere. It was awful. Also when I did clean up at an apartment complex after Hurricane Katrina, the entire downstairs flooded and several feet into the upstairs. It was so sad all the stuff I found people had to leave behind. Again I really don't think she has any awareness how trite she sounds so much of the time. She can't even at least say "could be worse BUT...."
How the mighty have fallen. We've had a peek into a "week in
the life" of Kate Gosselin, and it's mundane as all get-out. Her
8 little money-makers are away all day, and nothing much seems
to be going on in their absence. She dropped hints about being

I just remembered her little homemade video right after the tups
were born, and she said something about her life not being
"glamorous." That was part of her humble, "aw, shucks"
demeanor that the public (including me) bought hook, line
and sinker. But she desperately wanted a glamorous life,
and actually achieved that goal, and sustained it for years.
But that particular level of attention is never, ever coming
back. A handful of specials on TLC will never make her
a "cover girl" again. And Gladys can tweet all day long about
the paps clamoring for her idol, but those days are gone.

Yeah, Hurricane Sandy was NOT fun for us. We lost power and so the sump pump spilled over and flooded the basement . We spent our days bailing out as much water as possible. Our Wet Vac is electric so couldn't be used til later, when we worked in shifts. A tree fell on our house causing damage to the roof, windows and fence and now our insurance rates have gone up because of it ( it was also our neighbor's tree!) But I wouldn't think to complain much, considering what some folks went through. TFW is so vapid and self- absorbed. Here in Chicago we had weeks of rain/snow and thunderstorms that flooded people homes in most cases people were left homeless or left to live in filth.

I finally watched the last few episodes of EXTANT last night, the Halle Berry summer sci fi series. The last few episodes were really good, exciting, action, made sense, and made the dh and I sit there and why the rest of the suits was so glacially paced. Instead of twelve or thirteen weeks, whatever it was, they should have made it maybe six or eight hour long episodes at most, and severely edited the script and plot. At one point there was a visit to the main characters father, then he was never seen again. That whole trip could be edited out. Subplots got thrown in that didn't lead anywhere. it could have been tighter and better.
Also, Big Brother has become a fascinating end game, with huge strategic decisions needing to be made by the last few players. Usually the last week is kinda boring, but not this time!
Who did win Americas Got Talent?
Next Wednesday, Survivor premiere and Big Brother finale. I would definitely watch TFMJG if she was sick in a house with cameras 24/7 and a bunch of strangers, I would pay for live feeds! Also if she was stuck on an island, but only if it was something like Survivor where there is no help.
I bet she's the one who broke the handle I met she nearly broke the dialysis on K8 but she's a nurse ok-ay.
She also broke the blinds and the stove while on TV.

Oh, BOOHOO, poor Kate! 2-3 gallons of water, that is a mear drop in the bucket, that is like dropping a gallon of milk on the floor and the plastic breaking. Like a lot of you here, back in 1995 we had the floors here in the Chicago area, and my basement floored to 2 1/2 feet of water, the most it has ever been floored, mostly every so offten , if the City of chicago does not open the locks to the lake we get rain water back up, about 6 inches, once in a while sew water, but mostly rain water. I lost half of my Doctor who books, Star Trek books, other paper products, things that had to be washed, and had to bleach the whole basement, clean the washer, dryer the bottom, had to call the heating guys to check the heating system, had to wash all plastic & metal, down, had to let the frig we had in the basement dry out for a couple of days, it still worked. So her drama Queen bitching about 2-3 gallons of water, makes her look really stupid, and to trash the company, because she broke the handle, really shows her true color, that as Admin said, it, only comfirms what we saw on TV. And what jon said about her: Kate really is an a-hole!

If a part breaks on your toilet and it causes major damage, flooding, sewage spill, whatever, insurance will pay to repair the damage, replace the floor, carpeting, etc., have a restoration company come in there and clean up the mess, but it will not buy a new toilet, nor will it pay five dollars for a new part if that's all that's needed.
Makes no sense, but that's the way many of them work.

Exactly my experience. They paid for damages and restoration after a sewer back-up but not for clearing the roots that had blocked the sewer and caused the problem.
Funny ” flood” story. Years ago had new fridge installed, with plastic tubing from wall to fridge for ice maker. It was long tubing. We had a curious black cat. Do you see where this is going?
I was in next room and suddenly I hear cat loudly give am unhappy MEOWR! And cat ran by really fast. I hear a hissing in kitchen. Yes, cat poked several holes in that tubing he had been playing with! poor little me had no one to help! I had to pull the fridge from the wall all by myself! And cut off the water supply faucet all by myself! I did make dh go to the hardware store and get the copper tubing that the cat tried and failed to poke a hole in.
I think it took five or sit dish towels to clean up the water. Oh my!

In the next couple of years, they are going run circles around her and make her crazy. She is already catering to the twins hoping to control them. Not working nor it will for the tups in a couple years. Been there, done that. We lost everything, and had to rip out the drywall, flooring, all furniture was destroyed, window treatments, kitchen cabinets were warped...everything. Kate wouldn't know what to do in a situation like that. She would be sobbing in a corner somewhere for days.

Unlike some people in my block who at that time in 1995, I only got the 2 1/2 ft, a lot of my neighbors got the water almost to the ceiling. They lost their furnaces, washers, dryers, frigs, hot water tank and some lost their finished basements. Why they got more water than I did, my basement is only 3 feet below street level, their basements are 6 feet below street level, they got flooded worse than I did. They said it was cause my basement work the same as a stand pipe, the water reached it's level and went else where. The junk guys were having field day with all the appliances and stuff that was thrown out, I saw several washers, dryers, hot water tanks etc, out in the trash, besides dry wall, carpets etc. Mine is an unfinished basement, all concrete.
As for insurance, they will according to what you have in your policy, pay for new furnace, washer etc, but they will raise your rate. Depends on coverage. Mind you that not all policies cover flood. That I think is a separate coverage, and depending on where you live.

It depends on your policy. Around here, though, most are written that they will cover damage, but not new replacement items...not even a broken part. Depending on Kate's insurance, if her carpets were damaged, they would pay for new carpet, but not for a new appliance, or even a new handle and bucket.
I was talking to a lead tec for a restoration company, and I told him about Kate and her two gallons of water. He just looked at me and thought I was kidding about her two gallon "flood." This was after he got home from a water/sewer loss in which a pipe ruptured and the basement was under a foot of sewage. They had to go in there with Hazmat suits and boots and rip everything out. I asked him about insurance because he works with companies all the time, and he said that yes, the majority of companies here absolutely will not pay for a new appliance, new pipes, or anything that caused the damage. They will, however, take care of the costs of the restoration work, pay for new carpet and anything else that was ruined. But if a pipe breaks, the home owner is responsible for the cost of having that replaced.

Here we go again. Kate, it's not cute. Parrots are lactose intolerant. While it's not toxic, it can cause digestive problems resulting in severe diarrhea. Same goes for any dairy product, including cheese. A small amount shouldn't cause a concern, but like people, you just never know how much is too much before the bird becomes sick.
I wonder what kind of cookie she gave Zorro. I hope to heck she knows that chocolate is toxic to birds, and don't give him anything with a high sugar or salt content. They just can't digest it. We know that Kate loves salty food!

Because I'm a TV nerd I am really finding this mini saga interesting. Now you've got Joan Rivers' last or almost last TV project in the holding bin too. There's obviously no room for it on the fall lineup, and no clear word if they will find a spot for it after that at some point. And then there's good ole Trump who's always in la la land acting like there's no problem at all nothing to see here. lol.
Wait too long and it's going to get mighty dated. I think it's not completely off the table that it might never air.
I don't know if anyone commented on this classic Milo tweet. Way to go, Milo! You just confirmed what Kate is REALLY famous for! Hahaha. I love it when Milo tries to be clever in her praise and ends up dissing Kate instead. (If Milo deletes this tweet now, we'll know she reads here.)

If having TFW on your show guarantees ratings (as that Nielsen
expert Gladys tweeted), then why hasn't NBC picked an air date
for "Celebrity Apprentice?" Common sense is out the window

As time progressed, for some reason, she made a name for herself on the internet/Twitter, and it progressed from there. I'm not so sure that she's as into Kate as she lets on. Well, she's certainly something. Her comments about Kate's physique, her rockin bikini body, the questions about Kate's bathing habits (candles in the bathroom) mowing in Daisy Dukes, walking into the sunset, etc. etc., how Kate would "envision" her if she met her, what is expected from a potential suitor (remember that tweet?) most definitely are not normal things that a happily married "female" with children sends to another woman. We've talked about this so much but I really don't understand why one needs to make the reckless decision to risk multiples on such a high order in order to understand where Kate's coming from. Most people wouldn't do that in the first place, so how convenient for Coyne.
How does a judge and jury figure anything out if they haven't been in the criminal's shoes? Guess what, some things are fundamentally wrong and some people do fundamentally bad things and are not very good people, and there is no need to put on their shoes to figure that out. I think Kate Gosselin is the perfect storm of notorious t.v. personality who sell, yet, she is not a celebrity.
Let's face it, Coyne could put real stars on the cover of People, like say, Kathy Griffin, but it's not going to sell.

It's totally none of my business, and this isn't a criticism, but I just wonder about something. If I read some of the timelines of the non-fans (okay, the haters), I see that some of them are on there on an hourly basis, many times taking a breather for perhaps only five hours, and the remaining 19 hours they are tweeting and primarily to and about Kate. I don't have Twitter. Is it that addicting that it consumes your every waking moment? Don't these people have families, friends, daily activities, pets to care for, kids, cleaning to do, grocery shopping...that they are able to spend so much time devoted to calling out Kate and jumping on sheeple? I just don't get it, and really, sometimes I feel sorry for them that they apparently have no other interests.

I'm betting she has absolutely no business disclosing what the airings will be given that TLC has not released their December schedule. I'm betting nothing is set in stone either this early in the game. TV is always fluid and if something else does very well or very poorly all promises of air dates could be off. If she is intentionally vague it's easier for her to play dumb if anybody from TLC gives her a phone call pissed off at her.

You're right, I'd forgotten about those comments. They're not exactly her saying directly how much she loves all this, but they pretty much imply that that's what this is really about. Those comments are utterly and completely inconsistent with a mother who is only doing this because she has been unable to secure any other way to make money to support a large family, as she insists. OT books: I finished "Gone Girl". I fell into the book and neglected everything except essentials until it was finished.
This isn't the proper place to discuss the ending, but I did find several other internet discussions.
I will be interested to see how the movie will handle the journal dialogues.

OT. Stories like this show that there are youth of today who are to be commended for making an "underdog" feel like a million bucks: It's trending on Yahoo, if anyone wants to see the photos.
"Unfortunately, sometimes high school looks a lot like a real-life version of the movie "Mean Girls." Case in point, a group of girls at Grand Prairie High School in north Texas tricked 17-year-old Lillian Skinner into thinking she was nominated for the homecoming court.
The truth is, she wasn't actually nominated, but the story doesn't end there. Her two friends Anahi Alvarez and Naomi Martinez, who were nominated, heard about the cruel prank and came up with a plan. They decided that if either of them won, the winner would give the crown to Lillian. "We promised each other, and we were like, 'No matter what, no backing down. If one of us wins, we're giving Lillian the crown,'" Martinez told NBCDFW.
In order to get Skinner down to the field during the crowning ceremony, the friends told the school's principal, Lorimer Arendse, about their plans. Then the winner was announced, and Alvarez was crowned the queen. Moments later, Alvarez placed the crown on Skinner. "I was like, 'Wow, really? Like, wow! Like, is this a dream or something?'" Skinner said.
Alvarez said that when people ask her if she won, she tells them, "No, Lilly is homecoming queen," adding "Lilly won. I just ran in her place, in her position."
My current opinion (subject to change without notice) is that Milo is female. I think she is older and lives in a nursing facility, hence lights out man. Someone introduced her to watching Jon & Kate Plus 8 thinking she would love watching the kids. Instead she somehow focused on Kate. Kate reminded her of herself as a younger woman or someone she used to know. Her dementia has warped that association into this weird thing you see today. Dementia has many levels of confusion and parts of this remind me of my grandmother. Eventually my grandmother's confusion got worse and we took the computer away but I can easily see this happening. In Assisted Living areas, the residents are supervised and not at the same time. If she spent her free time on the computer and the family was ok with it, the nurses wouldn't stop her. The posting and deleting makes sense to me with a little dementia. She probably doesn't have a sexual attraction to Kate. She sees herself as close friend or even family to Kate. She might not be able to distinguish day dreams and reality. I just feel like the inappropriate stuff feels a little familiar. My grandmother said some really odd things.
Just my way of seeing things here. I have no proof who Milo is.
Slightly OT: Anyone followingthe Jameis Winston story? QB for FSU. 2012: Involved in shooting out windows w/ a gun; 2013-Rape allegations, wins Heisman Trophy, caught stealing crablegs from a grocery store; Wednesday...jumps up on a table in the University quad and starts yelling, "F*** her right in the P****!"over and over....He got suspended for yesterday's game. He shows up, FULLY dressed, padded, helmet on and takes the field for warm-ups w/ the team. Head Coach has to tell him to go change. Sooo...NO ONE from the coaches, players, administrators, towel boy said, "Ummm...you can't do that." Just goes to show, that when you're bringing in the the big bucks, people are very hesitant to tell you no. And your sense of self-importance and entitlement just grows. He shouldn't even have been allowed on the field, much less on the sidelines being shown on camera every few seconds. What did he learn? Nothing.
TFW had to know this was coming after that whole thing with Zorro and the milk. I hope they continue to call her out on her pretending especially her tweet about being on weekly in December. While not exactly a lie she wants people to think she's got a new series rather than specials that they'll be running at one time rather than spaced out through the year. The DA was trying to decide if JB should be charged with a felony. I couldn't believe it! Any vandalism damage over 400 dollars in CA is a felony!

Sleepless - I had just finished reading this story before I saw your post. This act of kindness and respect will impact a lot of lives in a positive way. I hope the "Mean Girls" will grow up and learn something from it as well.
I do not think it is unreasonable to have a zero tolerance rule for all sports. If you are convicted of a crime or can not follow a moral code you are gone. It works for BYU. The problem is too many people are lacking a moral compass and there is too much money involved in sports. We watch some games but have started to avoid any teams with thugs playing.
Redbird, are you ever able to physically go to Church? That must be such a special treat when you do. I sure wish your kids had you closer to them so that you could see them at least weekly. I cannot imagine living out my life in a nursing home. However, I know you are a believer, so with God's help, he provides strength.

True. but she's always been fixated on Kate's body, the short-shorts, her fantastic legs, the luxurious baths, etc. There's some lusting going on there. Whether it's a man or woman, I don't know. It could be an "it."
With Gladys, there's more going on there than just saying or doing some really strange things. She's really "off."
The red flags for me was when she tweeted that photo of the toy truck. Her son at the time was, what, maybe 17 or so. She "found" a truck in their back yard that belonged to him and she wistfully remembered when he was a young lad. Bull. Either there is no son, or the son still played with toy dump trucks when he was a teenager, but that toy was staged. It looked new, there was no rust, nor dirt, nothing on it, after how many years of being left out in all kinds of weather? Either it belonged to a neighbor, a family member, another kid where she "resides." I don't know. The whole thing was just really bizarre and was obviously staged.

All of the victims were riding in the same car, but they haven't released any information about the crash, other than that four cars and speeding were involved. It's in the same county where the manhunt is ongoing for the shooter who killed the state cop. They still haven't gotten him yet, although we get daily reports that they have closed in on an area, shots were fired, and residents are being told not to leave their homes. They just can't seem to get this guy.

This is a tough one. In the case of Ray Rice, where there is video showing him physically assaulting and knocking his then fiance unconscious --- he should most certainly be benched until the legal process is complete and he is either exonerated or convicted.
As to the Adrian Peterson charges of child abuse -- there is again photographs that depict welts and cuts to the child's legs and other places. The photos make it clear that Peterson caused numerous cuts on his 4 year old which bled. That to me is child abuse. Again - he should be benched until the charges work their way through the court system.
But most of all, the NFL needs to clean up their own act. They need to stop drafting players who have a history of criminal behavior (drug charges, gun charges, theft, assaults on others, etc.) If it were widely accepted fact that you won't get a coveted spot on a professional football team, along with the possibility of earning lots of money and having many endorsements -- maybe that would encourage some of these guys to change their behavior. Right now, they are protected, starting at the high school level. Their prowess on the field takes precedence over their wrong deeds off the field. It has to start somewhere, and seems like we as a society need to have realization. No more excuses for bad behavior.
I don't know the name of the college football player who was benched for half a game for standing on a cafeteria table and shouting out a profane phrase. But one of the comments made by a fellow student who witnessed this scene said, "I knew it was _________ (name of player) because all the campus police were looking the other way."

But if you are in a committed relationship, wouldn't you at least try to work things out first before showing your long time partner the door?
No, I think ratings were dropping, Honey Boo Boo is not really cute anymore, they milked all they could from the marriage of one daughter to some kid - so now what? They're going to do all the tricks they hoped to try with Kate, except she's the pill of the century and it didn't work. Mama June goes to work and messes up! Mama June dates new guys - can they handle her and her brood?! But TLC is trying to learn from past mistakes - so they're going to keep Sugar Bear around. Dumb and dumber.

brain trust at TLC to come up with a new "hook." To answer the question, "Have they no shame?" The answer is, NO.
These sports figures and abuse remind me also of how university campuses try to cover up rapes by dealing with them using their own misconduct code. The rapists are rarely expelled let alone prosecuted.

I will never forget when I was taken my computer classes in college when I went back of seeing someone's dating profile online! You can tell how literate someone is by what they write instead of the writing on the profile.

LHOP, no, unfortunately, I am not able to go to my church which is 35 miles away. I miss the old Baptist country churches I went to and miss the fellowship and people and children going to the altar calls. I could though, if I had the money, but, it would have to be on the gurney, ride in the amb, get there, transfer into the chair with wheels and wheel me in. This is the way I went when I go out to eat with my family. The last time I was able to go out was Dec. 2012. I am hoping I will be able to go both holidays this time. And possibly NY too.

I'm going to guess that NBC is the entity that still holds the rights to Little House. The show made them multi millions and I think they generally were on extremely good terms with everybody. I can see them being absolutely fine with whatever she wanted to do as long as she ran it by them, including using a pic from the show and the name "little house."
Oh I just remembered for awhile there there was some kind of Little House the musical traveling around. Melissa ever starred as Ma. Sounds like NBC has been pretty open to whatever people want to do.

Yep, December is down time for the regular shows. The networks used to show all 22 episodes in a row from October - February and then head into repeats. In the past ten years or so they have drug the season out until May by doing mid-season repeats and filler specials/pilots. There will be a cliffhanger episode right around Thanksgiving and then no new shows will air until January.
The networks do this to get maximum ratings during "sweeps" the months of November, February, May, and July which sets advertising rates. A November cliffhanger will boost rating then and making December and March throwaway months lets them push the season finale into May.
Good job TFW, you've gotten your "season" airing during a time the networks know peoples' attention is turned toward family and holidays rather than the TV and the ratings don't matter. It is just something to fill the dead air time.

Did you see her up close? Did she say anything to you or vice versa or just walk past you with her nose in the air while talking on her pink Iphone? What was she doing when you saw her?
The reason I ask is that I've always thought I'd like to observe her--but not too close--for a while. It would probably be brief cause I'd get ticked off and want to smack her upside of the head after a while. Another question would be why hasn't some enterprising local had t-shirts made up with her picture that say I survived TFMJG or something like that?

I wasn't suggesting they were just being nice. It's to everyone's mutual benefit that Little House continues to do well and expand its merchandising. Like I said, they may even get a cut of it.
I don't think however there is any particular ill will when it comes to their relationship with any of the case of Little House. Any time anyone is ever in public they always speak so glowingly about everything. That is to NBC's mutual benefit to encourage that and be cooperative with whatever the cast wants to do with the rights, as it reflects well on them too. For example, every time Melissa encourages the Little House angle of her brand, that encourages fans to buy the DVDs, tune into the syndication, or purchase other merchandise. Every time that happens NBC makes money.
This is the part of the business that I don't think Kate ever grasped. Just because you may not collect a physical paycheck from someone does not mean you won't ultimately make money from that person's actions and therefore should be cooperative and encouraging of that person. It may have annoyed Kate that Aunt Jodi was going to get paid, but Aunt Jodi brought viewers to the show, which in turn means Kate, and everyone, conceivably makes more money. She is definitely a cut off her nose to spite her face type person.
I don't follow the Real Housewives, but I read in "In Touch" this week that Teresa Giudice is (supposedly) pregnant.
The mag says that her reason for having the baby may be "cold, hard cash." A book about her life in prison as a pregnant housewife could net her millions, the article says.
An industry insider says being pregnant while waiting to be sentenced sounds like "the worst thing in the world" (what a way to describe a baby). But the pregnancy actually "could turn out to be the best thing ever" because it could lead to the spinoff that Giudice always wanted. The new show would cover Giudice's life pregnant leading up to prison and how she gets her life back once she's released"--it would be "ratings gold."
There you have it, folks. Another baby as a commodity.

Instead of demanding Jon to stop the pumpkin carving, why didn't kate, like a normal mother just go in and sit down at the other end of the table and start carving the pumpkins so it would take half the time. After Jon and kate got married and had the twins and if Jon had realized kates masterplan on her computer, he could of divorced her right then and proved in court her master plan for another try at HOM. He could of gotten full physical custody of M and C and stayed out of the limelight.
Then kate could of moved on and gotten someone else down the road to drink the Kreider Kool-Aid Kid Kreator!
I think the NFL commissioner should step down. He knew damn well that Ray Rice cold cocked his fiance and knocked her out cold, yet did nothing until the rest of us found out.
I'm also tired of these sports commentators saying that all of this violence is because the players' job is violent.

Interesting side note...Melissa Gilbert is not the first person to publish a cookbook based on the Little House of the Prairie series.
In 1979, Harper Collins published "The Little House Cookbook - Frontier Foods from Laura Ingalls Wilder's Classic Stories" by Barbara M. Walker.
I just received my third edition copy and can't wait to read it. It contains recipes, excerpts from the books and author's notes.
Definitely one of those cookbooks that I will read like a novel.
MikeB: totally agree with you. If I were Kate I would be PO'ed for putting show on in December. With all the Xmas shopping, people working extra jobs, Xmas parties, family , Xmas vacayion, etc, people are not going to tune in to watch an entitled, over rate, selfish, bitchin, whinein, complainin, cryin I got no money, but I send my kids to expensive private school, drive 3 expensive cars, live in a million dollar house, and spend money like water, and don't work mom etc. Unless this was TLC plan from the beginning. Perhaps Kate was bugging them for the last 2 years for a second chance, and the new staff over at TLC, threw her the pity card, with you will do things are way not yours, take it or leave it. Being Kate who is chasing fame, she took it.

Did anyone watch the Ken Burns Roosevelt documentary last
week? Eleanor Roosevelt accomplished more in a week --
even as a senior citizen -- than TFW does in a year. TFW
went to St. Jude and handed out her book to children with
cancer (?!), then had the audacity to compare her bedrest
with what they were enduring. Eleanor Roosevelt went to
hospital burn units and visited with ravaged patients, and then
hand-wrote notes to the families of each soldier she'd spent time
with. Long after her husband passed, she committed herself to
being of service. It wasn't for the cameras -- it brought her great
joy. Politics aside, it's hard to disagree that she walked the talk.
Now there's someone to be inspired by, in my opinion.

Between regaling children with CANCER with stories of her 1000 days of bed rest, acting like an entitled bitch to the docent on the hospital tour and lying through her veneers about personally spending their own money at KMart (while receiving a 6-figure endorsement deal), I think I could hurl.

the Desperaux plug in that episode. TFW playing Ma Ingalls, reading with the kids huddled around her on the bed. Except they looked
like they had never before seen their mother with a book in her

I can't remember who it was that asked a while back if anyone was watching the FDR episodes on PBS. They said it was intense. No kidding, it was, what I watched! I had finished watching Antique Roadshow and didn't turn the channel and it came on. It was part 3 I think about FDR and him being dx with the polio and FDR's mother being such a witch ER. A very dysfunctional family.
And that FDR having an affair with his secretary. UGH!
The St. Jude episode is just crazy. Her behavior was atrocious. Her walking ahead of the young lady guide volunteer who survived cancer and wasn't even acknowledging her or even paying attention to her was cruel. Jon talked to her like a normal human being. She must of been in a hurry to get it done, she must of had Steve around somewhere so she could get some alone time with him.
Away from the kids, on a beach with Steve is all she has on her brain.

It looked like those Spam cans with the key and you roll the lid of the top of the can. And you can't even see where the roof even went. It wasn't laying there beside the van.
It is very tragic. When I first saw accident, PA, kids, I immediately thought of kates driving. I pray that if she ever has an accident and I hope she doesn't for the kids sake, I hope NONE of the kids or an animal are with her in the vehicle!

That accident was BAD. That mother was so damn irresponsible on so many levels, and those kids paid with their lives.
Between Kate and Jon, it's amazing they've never been in a bad wreck.

We are related (Eleanor) somehow, back to cousins once removed. I can remember my grandfather telling me stories about Mrs. Roosevelt. I wish at the time I had paid closer attention.
