The thing is, Steve has made planned appearances on the show, and has been caught on camera during Pizza Gate, when the camera crew rushed in to follow Kate's epic tantrum over hand-touched Steve pizza.
When the cameras swung around, you saw the PA's, other babysitters and Steve scatter like cockroaches.
Steve is trained like a lunged horse.
Ok, here is what I don't get about picking out lobsters, to cook at home. For the price Kate paid for the lobsters, and to avoid having to argue about the lobsters lives, Kate could have gone to one of many wonderful restaurants(that I've heard about) that serve seafood in New England especially Maine. You know Maine Lobster? I would not want to boil a live anything, I rather go to Red lobster and let them do the cooking and get a whole meal and then some. For the price she paid, and the mess of cooking it and the whining of the kids, she could have gotten a whole meal minus the mess, the kid whining and it would have probably cost less. Yeh, patching & piecing finances, even if TLC was picking up the tab, I would still rather go to a seafood restaurant and let them do the cooking.
But I guess according to Kate, the kids are not civilized to go a restaurant, might cause a riot. But you know Jon takes them out all the time, no problems. JMO

My take on Baba Wawa when she predicted Kate would "be a stah?" Well, we can plainly see that certain types of individuals absolutely worship her. They do. Baba is among them. What does that say about Baba? Sort of puts her in the same league as Milo, doesn't it?

And what I think is so enormously damaging is that the
subtext of every single outing/event/activity is, it is very hard
to have 8 kids. I have to believe that those children know

In a family of 8 kids, now at least 2 of them are getting their own rooms? Sharing a room with a twin can be annoying, but it's hardly uncommon. There is a set of quads in MN that have been sharing a room for over 18 years, up until they split up for college. I shared a room with my sister, my ds and dd currently share a room. And shouldn't the walls in the tups rooms be covered in posters, photos, art, bulletin boards of momentos, etc? I guess the only time they can decorate their own space is AFTER they move out. I hope they at least get to pick the decor of their new room and express some individulality. Also, aren't the bedrooms supposed to be off limits for film crews?
I don't understand why both the boys and the younger girls had to be displaced from their bedrooms when the twins demanded to each have their own room. Why didn't one twin stay in the room they already shared? The sextuplets are shown painting both of their former rooms and then it looks like all six are being herded to look at new bedrooms in the basement area. WTH?

In the part of the clip where they show them going rowing, the first part shows one of the tups in the kayak with Kate, but then later she's been replaced by someone else. How many takes did that event take?
At least they were wearing life jackets both times they were on the water, not like when they went deep sea fishing.

I would be totally ashamed of my kids if they acted that way. The Kate Gosselin guide to raising children, first lesson, let them fight it out, don't do anything. Yeah, that is why so many people & teens stab or shoot one another during holidays & birthdays, and these people are family members. Fighting over food, games, & computers. I agree. It could be the result of different parenting styles. Jon has always been involved, hands-on, when it came to the kids. With love and discipline comes respect. With Kate it was hands-off, let someone else take care of the child. The result is what I saw in the video, lack of respect towards their Mom. At home (when the cameras aren't rolling) Kate can punish disrespect. However, if they haven't taught proper behavior and they don't respect her, when they're in public they can be a handful. And, that is what Kate is afraid of happening. Losing total control of the kids in public. JMO, of course.
She built her world around the myth of raising nice, polite, respectful children. Jon may have succeeded, but Kate surely hasn't.

I watched the clip of the upcoming episode of Kate Plus 8. She actually can come across as even more put-upon, obnoxious, and wishing her children to be anywhere but in HER life. This is reality television, but it is hard to mask her meanness, from boiling a lobster with a smirk on her face, to giving Shoka his birthday treat outside, she is twisted, and thrives on being mean-spirited, it is her joy.
She loves the income the 8 have brought into her coffers, she just doesn't want to be bothered with them otherwise. She is utterly transparent, and more unlikeable with each passing year.
Well, I don't know about you guys, but for me, when I am on vacation, I don't cook. If I were camping for or staying in one location and I had a kitchen I would still get at least take out for camping the usual stuff.
But the whole purpose of vacation is not to cook. Almost every cooking show I've watched over the years, including the talk show ones, always talk about if you ever go to New England or just Maine you go to the seafood restaurants, they have the best seafood available and like someone said here inexpensive. I hope sometime in the future I will get to go to New England and experience that.

I feel as badly for her as I do the boys sometimes.
The kids are all bratty in behavior and Kate is as ridiculous as ever. I think her feeling overwhelmed lately as she said is that she is reaping what she sowed in terms of the kids' acting out.

getofftwitter, they mention checking lobster traps. There are tours that allow you to go out on boats and check traps with the owners. I did it once and was never so seasick in all my born days. It was awful. But it was also very interesting to see how each different owner has their own style of float, and how the traps work. That is probably what they did, and it does look like they kept the haul or bought lobsters and took it all to their rental house (no fancy hotel??). We sure didn't do that; as soon as tummy agreed, we headed to a dive in the very quaint and incredibly picturesque Kennebunkport, where the Bushes have a compound, and had lobster rolls and they were GREAT!
Maine is awesome, a really special place, especially in fall! And if you stay in Kittery or nearby, New Hampshire and the wonderful Portsmouth are just a short walk across the bridge. It's all sort of understated and magical, but I doubt they experienced any of that.
Did she she say, "Is this bed rest-upon-able?" And "miniature pilgrimy chldren?" What a dork. And those kids scream for everything and nothing and are so whiny and slappy. Just that clip is painful.
Just in the last update special Kate was bragging about how wonderfully organized and orderly their morning routine is, getting out of the house in and impressive 50 minutes or something. Everybody does what needs to be done like clockwork.
So which is it? The kids are just massively overwhelming and out of control, or you have the house running like a tight ship? You can't have it both ways. Stick to the same story for once. I really feel like this is a throw shit at the wall and see what sticks thing. There is no consistent story with this family and never has been. I don't think they themselves even know who they are.

When we've done longer family vacations and get either a hotel with a kitchen or do Air B&B, which I've had three fabulous experiences with, we will sometimes cook. But we do try to eat out for most meals. That is half the fun of traveling is experiencing local restaurants and food. For like breakfasts and dinners we might bring along things of our own. Yogurts, granola, pre-made burritos. I once went to Death Valley and pretty much packed all our meals in a cooler. Premade pastas, chicken dishes and such. Nobody goes to Death Valley for the restaurants, there really aren't restaurants, and there's no reason to pay a premium price for food I could just bring.
Here though, they got some nice local lobster, so I can see getting some really fresh and local food and cooking it yourself. I would do that if the opportunity were to cook so local. It's not like they are cooking Stouffers or something.
Some people eat in because it can save a lot of money while still getting to go on vacation, but that's a silly excuse here. Plus you're not saving much getting LOSTER.
What I don't understand is how in the world these children didn't realize the lobster was for eating. That is a ridiculous lack of communication with them and frankly, cruel. It should have been disclosed up front we're going to get some lobsters and then EAT THEM. It's unbelievable they weren't told this. Flat out unbelievable. I have a hard time even buying it. There seems to be an incentive to get these kids as worked up as possible about whatever. Better TV I suppose. Gross.

When we have great supermarkets, fresh seafood, a kitchen and the ability to eat on the deck looking at the ocean, it's hard to justify spending $$$ at a restaurant.
I've gotten pretty good at prepping meals and freezing them before we go, so we eat GOOD.
However, in Maine, I'd be eating at pounds until I had lobster breath.
Also, wasn't the issue of filming in kid's bedrooms and bathrooms addressed vis a vis Rep. Murt's hearings and law he got passed?
I'm stymied that Kate is allowed to film the children's bedrooms, such as they are, and to even make it the focus of filming.
I took a look at the FB page and one of the pictures they have is from cupcakegate and it is captioned "sometimes the promise of cupcakes really does get you through the rest of the day..." The picture is of Collin smiling and happy as one of his cupcakes is being iced. Are they trying to point out her worst moments because just a short time later he was denied that same cupcake. They've also updated the picture at the top. Cara looks cute in her glasses and Mady had gained some weight (in a good way) and looks like a normal teen.

Same here! Food Lion supplies our dinners except one night we eat out and of course we go to Duck for ice cream!
I live in New England and we often go crabbing or lobstering as the kids put it. They snorkel for the lobsters and use bread dough and nets to grab the crabs. We live a couple of blocks from the bay and get a couple of kinds of clams. In the winter we have a super market where you can go to the seafood counter and order lobsters and they steam them for you while you finish shopping. It is great, no muss no fuss. All you need to do is make the sides or go to the deli counter and get the coleslaw, etc. It is less expensive this way, especially when you can get lobsters for $3.99 or $5.99 a pound. I prefer eating those and the crabs at home on the deck and enjoy every morsel of them.
Will Kate tell these screaming, crying and jumping up and down fans that this is not a regular series, but only some specials? Not on your life...

If I were to stay put in an area for a while, and yes the ocean would be a big sway to get me to maybe cook at the place and enjoy the ocean, but if I'm only going to be there for a few days, doing touring, and cause the NE has a reputation for seafood, I would be doing the seafood crawl, I'd be in seafood heaven. I had an near seafood experience in New Orleans, this one restaurant, I think was called the Two Sisters, it had a large tree as the ceiling, and tons of seafood, all you can eat. I was there for 2 hours. It was good.

TLC doesn't care if these kids have been exploited or abused. That's not why they are filming them. They are doing it because when they cancelled the show, she was promised specials and it had been written into her contract, or because they think that they can make some money off her. Or both. Bottom line - it's about the Benjamins.

They need an adult to teach them this. They need an adult's guidance to tell them hey kids instead of whining, bickering and fighting over beds, we need to stop and be grateful that we're even on this wonderful trip in the first place. We're very blessed. Many families our size never take one vacation let alone the dozens we have had.
If you don't teach kids this, kids end up spoiled and unappreciative. I do not believe most kids generally will just figure this out on their own. It needs to be TAUGHT. And that's parenting, pure and simple.

I just took a good, long look at the clip. She is no actor. When she says she didn't tell the kids that the lobsters were to be eaten, she's clearly lying. That whole thing was a set up. She's got her bare hand on the lid of a pot of boiling water? Watch the faces. Some of the kids were in on it, some of them weren't. Realest reality show? Bullshit.
The whole "I give up" thing is new spin. The kids run her, blah blah. Well watch and see little snippets of her sneak through. The threat while the girls are painting? Yup, that's more like it. She wants to go rowing, but in reality is terrified? That's her, in all her narcissistic glory. I hope the folks at TLC really suffered making these episodes and I hope they lose money too. The sound guys should be able to sue for hearing loss. Workplace safety issue.

Not only do you have a mother who is constantly inconsistent, but then you've got cameras encouraging even more extreme scenarios. The kids are told to ham it up for the cameras and then when they "go too far" past the ever changing line, they're verbally assaulted with her screeching and threats.

I can not recall ever having such a singular focus on my mother when I grew up. I loved her and she was a great mom, but I was pretty much focused on me, school, friends, activities/hobbies/sports.
Also, I have an older brother, same age diff as the G kids, and I can't imagine my parents forcing us to always hang, interact and do the same damn things all the time.

As far as all the yelling, no surprises there. Their role model is the biggest screamer of all. And the physical stuff...Kate is physical and so they learned it from mom. And she does not want to be bothered teaching them manners and respect. She is completely a hands-off parent although she wants the world to believe she is on top of and manages those kids.
What TLC wants the viewers to see is a chaotic household with Kate struggling as a single mom. The clip proves this. What viewers need to understand is that this woman lies to her kids and the ensuing chaos is entirely of her doing.

Yes, local, Shoka is not a family pet. The only reason she made a production out of his birthday was TLC needed to film and prove she is an animal lover. The fact that the dog is fed outside says it all, plus her reaction to him jumping. We animal lovers can see right through her. She appears uncomfortable and that's not the way you behave when you and your pet are close. That dog most likely is taken care of by one of the boy tups and the dog exists simply to guard the property. I feel certain that this was based on Steve's imput.

Also from the clip I see that she continues to mangle the English language. Does she think this is cute or is she just lazy? The kids are picking up these odd phrasings too (Mady at the tups' birthday party) for example. And she talks like a teen using "like". That is one of my pet peeves.

They never think through this little illogical defense.
If having 8 kids is a free pass, then it should be a free pas for everything, including murder, terrorism, and rape.

The more TFW films, the more credence she gives to the fact that these kids need not to be filmed any longer. She has bigger issues to deal with what is going on, but refuses to stop the filming. We were talking the other day about how our dog is getting older, although as a small dog 10 is still pretty spry. We were saying it's kind of nice that we have an actual relationship with the dog. We communicate and have a routine. In the morning we get up, she stretches, I take her out. She goes in the kitchen because she knows that's where she stays til grandma comes to take her out at noon. She greets me at the door when I get home since child let her out after school. I say ready to go out, let's put your sweater on, and she spazzes with joy while I try to get her leash on. After dinner, as soon as I sit down she decides it's time to play and has a hissy fit until I tell her to get a toy from her basket which she does and we play fetch. Sometimes she makes me get down on the floor and wrestle with her. If she's out of water she comes and bitches at me til I figure it out. She knows all the usual words..out, ride, car, play, toy, grandma, rabbit, sweater, park, etc. When it's time to go to bed I let her out one last time, say "let's go night night" and up she goes. To bed. With me.

I wonder when Kate will be doing the talk circuit. She loves doing these shows because she does all the talking. This time, though, what does she have to talk about. There's nothing new. The kids are older, so what. They went on a vacation, so what. Jon is awful, heard that enough times.
Since she likes the spotlight on herself, not the kids, what has she personally done in the last year or two. The only thing I can come up with was she appeared on CA, oh yeah. I can't recall a time when a CA participant talked about being on the show before or during it was/is airing. So I don’t see her doing publicity for CA. Which brings us back to her K+8 specials. That's all she has. She could have contributed to her community by volunteering. A lot of celebs do volunteer work for the media exposure. And some do it because they want to help. Did Kate do this. Nope. Another lost publicity opportunity.
And we circle back to, all she has is the kids to keep her name in the limelight. This morning while reading the newspaper was a small blurb about K+8 Christmas episode. Yup! We have our routine and my little baby Bichone (who just turned 1!) is learning the words and gestures and routines.
It's really fun.
Anyone who has or has had dogs knows how important it is to keep eyes on your dogs, and all pets. You have to know them intimately to be able to discern if anything is awry.
Shoka is young and healthy right now, but I guarantee you, when he ages, and oh boy, big dogs do, Kate will not go the extra mile to help him when his hips go, other joints get arthritis etc.
It's takes a lot of love and tender care to help dogs as they age.
I don't see Kate allowing Shoka to live indoors when that's the right thing to do one day. She won't help him up and down, with stairs or give him all of the supportive care with joint supplements and other therapies and modalities to help him live longer and meaningfully.
When that dog becomes a burden, and they all do to some extent, she won't lift a finger and he'll be let go sooner rather than later.

She somehow got caught up in the fan/hater bullshit and IIRC, allowed some fanatic to "vet" potential cruisers.
It was bizarre- never seen anything like it.

Why would you put your kids on national television and show the viewers that they are still screaming, fighting and whining like they were toddlers? I agree - and I hope that at least when that time comes, she re-homes him. Maybe then, at the latter part of his life, he might end up with a family who actually loves him. (I think the kids probably love Shoka, but also probably aren't allowed to play with him or otherwise treat him like a member of the family).
For most people, pets do become family members. We have had our female cat for 10 years. She too has her routines - such as waking me up at 4:00 a.m. because she thinks it's time for her morning treat! She starts out the night sleeping on my son's bed, but by morning, she's in with me. She has her favorite spot on the couch, and she hides things under a lounge chair in the living room. (This morning, it was a nearly empty box of Cheez Its that I had left on the coffee table.) I pet her all the time, so if she is not feeling well, I can tell by the feel of her fur. She is a wonderful companion.
My sister has a German Shepherd (her 3rd), who loves her so much! The love and loyalty those dogs will give their own is amazing. That's why I feel so badly for the dog. Shoka deserves a better home and a better owner. Maybe someday he'll get it.
We have had our female cat for 10 years. She too has her routines - such as waking me up at 4:00 a.m. because she thinks it's time for her morning treat!

When you have your dog trained with basic commands and social skills, you can avoid the jumping that Shoka did and not wind up with a dog getting admonished for doing the only thing he knows to do- jump up on people.
A well-trained dog will not do that, but will sit for attention and treats.
Kate never put an ounce of effort into training that dog, which take an intense amount of time, labor and to some extent, money.
I remember when Kate brought Shoka back for the show and watched him practically drag her with his leash.
Shoka pulled her, and Kate showed no knowledge of how to control a dog on a leash.
Zero.
With all of her money, it would have been a great idea to have private, in-home dog training with Shoka, so everyone could know how to perform basic commands and social skills with him.
I don't think one person could have sunk Kate's cruise. Laughable this is being brought up now. These people are dense. Kate made at a minimum $40K per episode (7?) f rom TLC, got paid to hawk her episodes this year plus money from CA. If they don't think that's enough, then why don't they take up a collection, LOL.

No matter how few or many kids you have or what you do with your life on TV or off, it is your obligation to be a good parent to your children. Parents of one child are not excused from this, neither is a parent or eight or even 16, neither is a parent who happens to be on TV. The number of children you have does not excuse poor parenting, bad behavior, setting a bad example, shrieking, complaining, screwing around with kids like not telling them the lobsters will be eaten, and overall being an ungrateful spoiled brat. This argument has always been and will always be an absolutely ridiculous one.

lol, Tucker's. My cat makes me get up to pee, many times in the early morning, and she will let me know when she needs more food in her bowl. If it's not completely filled, she will yell until she decides that it's the right amount...same with the water bowl. It had to be filled up to the top or she won't drink it. Gotta love them, even if they have their quirky moments, just like people.

Milo and the cruise. There was something very fishy about that. Her idol was so close to her. So, is this what TLC is going to do from now on, when they do flashbacks on K8, edit out Jon? Seems kind of childish. OT: Laughing at the finicky pets. I recently received a rescue parrot whose owner was killed in an accident. Her son really loves the bird, but he's a single businessman who is away quite a bit and doesn't have time to care for the bird. The bird was not eating well, and I figured it was because of stress and loss, and a new home. I called the owner's son and he laughed and said he forgot to tell me that this bird is OCD. She will throw out the first half dish of bird food, uneaten, until the food is at a level where he will eat it. So I filled it up according to instructions, and sure enough, the bird is doing fine. I just keep adding food. No more fruit and veggies thrown on the floor. She also told me last night that it was "too cold" in the bird room and so I cranked up the heat.

I have never seen a woman who hates being a mom as much as Kate does. The boys get it. They have bonded together and are each other's refuge. sayitisnotso, the only thing I can say with confidence regarding Milo is that this person is someone Kate has groomed, paid or not, to be president of her fan club. What I find off about Milo (aka Fired Up For Kate) is that this person does not describe herself as what I consider the typical Kate fan (young teen, young mom, mother of multiples, divorced man hater). Another thing, I feel very certain Steve has vetted this person. Yes it could be. And/or they know he doesn't want to be a part of it anymore so they're not putting him on. I don't read too much into it, even though it does seem to marginalize/swiffer him. I don't think Jon cares if he looks swiffered to the public as long as he's not swiffered in real life.

Where did you see this? All the articles I've read have said that it's a FIVE part special.
According to Wrap.com(which states 5 episodes) this is what the episodes will consist of:

Later episodes center on the twins’ 14th birthday party, as well as the family dog’s acrobatic attempts to steal a slice of birthday cake, and a stress-inducing home renovation.

Seems like the first 2 episodes will be mostly the NE trip, and probably will have some back to school stuff as well.
The third is probably the twins birthday, Shoka's birthday, and Halloween. That episode will probably also include the part where they went to Skyzone.
The fourth episode will be probably be the home renovation and the yard sale.
So the fifth would be the "Ask Kate" episode.
Unless, they are going to throw in an additional episode for the "Ask Kate" segment. They apparently haven't filmed that one yet, since they just started asking people for questions to be used on that show.
BTW, they've got some response on FB, but mostly questions that have been answered before, like how does she stay organized, about doing laundry, how are the kids doing in school, etc.

Zorro 2.0?
I've just never really gotten this show's attempts at humor. And I do feel that this stuff is supposed to be humorless or at least TLC is presenting it that way.
I don't find out of control animals you didn't properly train or restrain to be funny. I don't find wild out of control disrespectful "sassy" kids funny in the slightest. I find it cringe inducing.
You know those parents that don't know what to do when their child misbehaves so they just laugh? Worked for somebody like that, the narcisist. Meanwhile I was the only one being an adult and saying No, no you do not pummel your brother in the face giving him a bloody nose, knock it off. That's kind of how TLC is. They laugh at stuff a normal parent would find to actually be a problem that needs correcting. It's not funny.
Jane--According to all the articles I've read, each show will be an hour long.
How exciting. A rich family going on an all expense paid vacation and getting free home remodel. They haven't thought of those before. #snark

I'm kind of surprised they didn't make an effort to be a bit more creative with these episodes. Same old same old. I don't know if that's laziness or what.
If they really think this family just being on TV is going to be enough to engage people I think they could be very wrong.
As we said before, they probably flew to Boston and a crew member(or someone else) drove the BBB or they rented one while in Boston.

Ah the problems of the 1%. How to find a driver to get your camper out to where you need to be so you can meet up with it off your first class flight.
One thing that has always stumped me at least since she upgraded to the McMansion is how any of the sheeple find this remotely relatable. Especially during this time period when the economy went into the crapper, why this would be enjoyable to the average struggling middle class mom to watch. I don't begrudge anyone such luxuries if they can afford it and do so without working their kids, but she pretends like this lifestyle is actually normal. That's what's so obnoxious.
You know, I agree, Admin, that untrained pets and 'sassy' smart-aleck kids who argue the day long, are not fun to watch ( oh, and Kate herself!). If we who have wished for the exploitation of the kids to stop, feel this way, imagine the criticism and teasing the kids will get in 'real-life' from those not so invested in their best interest.
I'm sort of out the loop on the remodel (I know - devastating isn't it?lol) but why are the twins moving out of their nice secluded loft away from the rest of the family to rooms in the same general area of the younger kids? Are they, or at least Mady, calling the shots? Telling Kate - hey look bitch, we got you this house now we tell YOU where we want our rooms or we'll refuse to film.
I think they've turned the tables on Kate and are now using HER to get what THEY want. haha. Wait until the other six catch on.

Actually, how creative can they get with Kate? There's not much they can do with the limp noodlebrain anymore except paint her house and send her on little vacations. She's a boring waste of space and skin that for some unknown reason is still around. Why TLC keeps filming that family is a mystery to me. Why TLC is still on the air at all is an even bigger mystery. The channel is pure garbage.

Maybe because there are four "filmed" episodes, and then you have the "Ask Kate" one. Who knows?

Just had another thought. Maybe the home renovation is combined with the twin's birthday. That probably was their birthday present(courtesy of TLC)--getting their own rooms. According to Kate's tweet, the renovation was going on at the time of the twin's birthday

I agree. Just don't get why everyone in the house (other than TFW) has to move out of their rooms to accomplish this. I guess TFW grifted renovations (painting, etc... ) on the tups new rooms as well.
So the twins get their own rooms, and the tups get moved to other rooms, and of course every other kids room needs to be painted, etc.. and furniture moved to make this happen. She is the ultimate grifter, and sounds like the twins have her over a barrel.

I don't think TLC knows themselves how many episodes the special will be. I've noticed that their press releases are including mentioning her appearance on CA so they definitely decided to wait until January to release the first episode. Four parts makes more sense given what we know what was filmed. Geez, I hope this is the end.
Something about the pumpkin tossing was bugging me and I didn't know what it was, so I went back and had another look at the clip.
"I thought that would be so cool to splat pumpkins." The look on her face is chilling. I think it's a big FU to anyone who found her behaviour abhorrent when she destroyed the family fun of making Jack-O-Lanterns. Her anger at not being the center of attention and making everyone stop and clean up. This "activity" is just another way of her saying, "I'm in charge and that's never going to change.". There is no logical reason for throwing pumpkins at a target. Who does that?
I hope they give her production credit, because these lame ideas have her name all over them.

As far as Milo is concerned, Steve could have vetted him or her until the cows come home, deemed her safe and harmless, but you just never know. I bet those obsessed fans who have stalked other celebrities, or set themselves up to be cheerleaders, were vetted, too, and we know that if they go off for any reason, they will do harm to the celebrity. If ignored, it wouldn't surprise me in the least that sheeple, Gladys included, could show up in a face-to-face confrontation. You just never know and you really do have to be careful. I just wonder if Kate humors her because she knows this, and so she just plays along with her. Perhaps Steve is smart enough to have suggested how to deal with her. It's clear that they don't "communicate in other ways," because if they did, Gladys wouldn't be pestering her with questions. She'd have other ways to find out, particularly if she has a direct line to Kate's cell phone, or personal e-mail account.
I just read that Margaret Cho has been added as a host on the new TLC late night talk show, “All About Sex” a weekly show that will focus on “craziest sex-related news” from that week as well relationship talk, I'm sure the wholesome, all-American, former uber-Christian mom is thrilled with this association.
What is going to happen when the six decide they want their own rooms? Maybe by then Mady will demand her own apartment and move into the garage. She sure has Kate over a barrel.

I'm to the point now that the Gosselin family is just hysterically dysfunctional. The twins demand separate rooms, they get separate rooms. Never mind the real money makers, the little kids, all have to move. Who covers themselves in plastic to paint. To me normal people put on a pair of old shorts and tee shirt. I notice at least Cara is flashing the french mani - ala mama. No imagination for a young girl there. Those two girls own Kate. They know all her dirty little secrets. I'll bet the day they turn 16 they'll have $30-$40K cars parked, that they can't drive yet. There will be some major resentment by the little kids once they figure out they got the short end of the stick in that family. Their who childhood was pimped out so mama and the twins could live the high life. What do you think they got for going along with dressing up at the Plantation? They were clearly embarrassed. TLC is false advertising the "whole" day there, since they were pictured just arriving at closing time. Wonder if someday TLC will implode on itself. What kept Kate from being charged with fraud while scamming churches when in the process of buying a million dollar home? Did TLC make a payoff to the church(s) involved. So many things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmmm. They paid for and backed Kate during her divorce. What other dirty little secrets are there.
Meanwhile the chef of crazy and her minions are off their meds. Hot topic this week is a cruise that her biggest fan/stalker wasn't even going on and pictures of toilets. Yes - toilets. How do they have time for their nonsense, considering it's the holiday season and some of them have kids, guess since none of them hold a job they don't require sleep.
I thought it was mainly the teen fans who are giddy over the show "coming back," but it appears that adults are also screaming and OMGing over this. I just don't get it. I can understand that the young ones just don't have the life experiences to be able to figure out that kids on reality television may be faced with serious emotional problems in the future. All they see are cute siblings running around, put out there for the amusement of fans. I would think, though, that adults would have enough intelligence to figure out that parading kids around on television for the entertainment of viewers is not a good thing. I guess I was wrong.

A new article that says the same things about the specials but emphasizes the girls' bickering. The kids in a new picture look a little different to me since the tups' birthday. H and L also have the curly-locks do Kate often sports!
Formerly, that article is the same one I cited previously. I don't think we'll find out how many parts there will be to this "special", but it's definitely not a "season".
ITA the twins at 14 know darn well that they can get their way because mommy wants to film. What a dysfunctional family she is raising. And I agree the boys have banded together against all the tyrannical females. What a mess! But TLC loves this. They are not interested in normal.

In the preview clip, when the kids, dressed as pilgrims, are bowing down, there's a girl between Mady and Cara. That girl looks a lot like Mady's friend who played gaga ball with them in one of
the of the update episodes. She was also in the birthday episode.
When they show them rowing, I think the same girl is sitting behind Mady in the kayak. The first shot of the kayak shows Alexis sitting there, but the next shot shows an older girl. I think that is also the same friend of Mady's.

Admin, I hope you are right and that TLC has misjudged the public interest or lack thereof in the Gosselins. True, in some parts of our country the economy is slowly making a come back, but no one I know would be interested in watching another family taking a vacation or remodeling their home on television. I also would add that it would be especially offensive to watch a family being paid to do these things when they could readily afford said activities. I really would like to know who "loves" Kate at TLC. That family just doesn't have the "it" factor. Cuteness left the children long ago. We need a return of good quality scripted television to make these weak reality programs disappear.

I share your disappointment that in this day in age with all we know and have learned about child exploitation, and given our history with the Dionnes and so on, the mistakes made there and the million dollar settlement that followed--that grown adults STILL think it's okay to exploit and expose kids like this. It is very disappointing and perplexing.
I agree there should be more scripted television. Enough exploitation on kids and animals.
