Kate couldn't just show up, be polite and act respectful.
There's an entire tv crew there and Kate thinks she needs to do their job for them?
That was just a perfect example of how Kate is unaware of social situations.
She knows that SHE would have shrieked and ran onto camera to make it all about her, but that's not how most people think.
Leeza's husband looked like he was waiting for the right moment, and Kate just butted in and made it her business.
I be she thinks she took control and showed some type of leadership, when she just simply does not know her place.
Being around other adults is not the same as being around her kids. You have to show restraint and not try to always draw attention to yourself, or at least be aware that's what you're doing.
Kate's overly-wrought facial articulations failed at drawing the camera to her-unlike during filming, where she saw it got her a lot of attention in editing.
And another thing: Why did sKate's heavy donor pick a time when she wasn't project manager? I read somewhere that "her" big donor really wanted to support Geraldo's cause and that's why the funds showed up when he was the PM. That donation had nothing to do with sKate. She brought NOTHING to the table.

I agree- but she saw Geraldo was pulling in astronomical donations during the bridal challenge, and probably felt she had to pull the trigger right then.
She didn't pull the trigger on the first Pie Face challenge, imo. I think she was full of it.
So I felt compelled to watch "19 Kids and counting."
The Duggar clan seems to be much more gentle in nature. Noticibly more quiet than the Gosselins. The mother comes across as incredibly kind. Can't say I agree with their way of living, but it appears they respect and love one another. No drama, no hitting.
There has to be squabbling and bickering, but is it out of respect, perhaps they don't show it?
So I've only watched 2 episodes, but their program is a 180 from Kate's.
In fact if it weren't for knowing what damage Kate, her bodyguard, and TLC's greed has caused, watching the Duggars, I would say at least here the filming isn't damaging. Perhaps because there is a great deal of nurturing.
Just my thoughts after 2 episodes.
Once spring is here I will be running again. Almost finished wit PT. Of course with sports injury, the PT goes on forever, its just i'll have no one to kick me in the butt to get it done. I believe they call it motivation! :)

I checked out this picture on Jamie's twitter. Kate is laying across Terrell's lap it looks like. A little more friendly than I would be with a guy I only knew a few weeks in a tv show/business aspect. I'm not a prude but would have to have the hots for a guy I barely knew or be drunk to do that. Especially on pic on internet. I have known girls who would do things like that to tease guys even if they were not interested.

Yep. The 'facially expressive' stuff certainly did seem to get her a lot of camera time the first two episodes, especially the first one. After that, the camera people didn't seem to have much interest in that nonsense.
Probably got bored with it. She only had 2-3 expressions. The main one being the mouth very wide open so you can see her tonsils, eyes very wide. Looking around to be sure that everyone was looking at her.
Mady had the exact same expression when they said they were going to Indian Island. And she held it waaay too long. Another one who is very aware of the camera, and over-wrought expressions.

Yes, Rob Shuter posted a pic- it seemed like there was one row initially, then they set it up with 2 rows and put the finalists that were in Orlando in front, and the rest had to move to the back.

I spent a week away from home with only spotty Wifi and limited TV. Celebrity Apprentice and other programs recorded and waited for me. I haven't been watching TLC in real time.
Last night, I watched two episodes of Downton Abbey. It is just a stylish soap opera and seldom "uplifting". But, last night's episode did bring tears to my eyes. (A side story and not a part of the main drama.)
I suspect that Kate put more thought into the shoes she chose to wear than to her charity. Even she can not believe that she could have presented her self as Leeza and Geraldo did. Nor could she have created a commercial for a major theme park. She is lucky (again) that she made it to a well-known network program. It is most likely another opportunity that she has wasted.

Then, when the contestants who were part of the final task came in, they added a row, and moved Schmoops to the back. But everyone not part of Orlando moved to the back except for Kenya, because they were going to talk about the phone incident. But Kate was sitting next to Kenya, so if she was mad, maybe it was because she thought she deserved to be part of the conversation? Who knows? Didn't seem to bother anyone else who had to move!

When they first announced the returning contestants, 6 came out---Kate, Kenya, Keshia, Terrell, Jamie and Gilbert, and there was only one row you can see by this picture.

Later when the rest of the returning contestants were announced, it looks like they had added a row in back(on the platform) and added two more chairs to the front row.
Kate, Terrell, Jamie, Terrell and Keshia moved to that row, while Kenya stayed in the front and the others coming out sat in that row.

I thought it was telling when Kate was PM on the Neat task and the women on her team were brainstorming and sharing ideas with each other and never really looked at her or included her or bounced anything off of her. They just weren't interested in her feedback at all. Nor did she offer any.
They had her number by task two. She brought very little to any of the tasks, even when she was PM.

Up next will be the filming of the summer "season". The kids are out for spring break in three weeks. She did get 1.5 million viewers this past time which will be enough for TLC to continue the specials. They will be able to milk two or three episodes out of whatever trip TFW can con them into paying for. Then you've got the 40th birthday bash for TFW in late March unless they try to combine it with the spring break trip.
After that? Crickets as far as I can tell. Maybe she can grift something from her wifebeater boyfriend. She had hinted around at a business deal between the two of them. Otherwise she would seem to be dead in the water until the kids get out of school for summer and she can put them back to work filming if the spring break special's ratings are decent.
I'm sure she will try to get Rosie O'Donnell's spot on The View, but I would hope the producers could see she has no talent. There is nothing left for her other than to try and find more ways to pimp her kids out.

Well, I doubt it's the kids or the nanny/babysitter, even though they're all going to be home at the compound today with the schools closed.

School wasn't closed today. There was a two-hour delay, but roads are clear once again. Snow was out of here by 6 a.m. We just keep getting these coating to two-inch snows which are a nuisance, especially during morning and evening commutes. There's another one coming tomorrow. I wish it would just snow a foot and get it over with for the season! This piddling around with dustings and delays is really getting on my nerves! They seem to be coming every other day.

She had one question to answer, and she couldn't do that. Can you imagine her on a talk show, or a host of a cooking show? I still think that there's a disconnect between what she wants to say and what actually comes out. I am not convinced, as someone said, that there isn't some speech pathology going on there. It's just a bit strange that a grown adult can't formulate a simple sentence. It's not that difficult. She's not able to answer a simple question with a one-word answer: Geraldo. What comes out of her mouth is so disjointed, with incomplete sentences, wrong word usage, along with unnecessary hesitation. Something just isn't right there.

I have sick ones here today. Is this stomach bug thing that's been going around short-lived, or does it hang on for days and days or weeks and weeks!? I don't think it's the flu, and it's nothing we ate (although we did have Chinese take-out last night), but gosh, this is miserable for everyone involved! I thought we'd get through the winter relatively unscathed, but no such luck.
I think she attached herself to T.O. because he was one of the weakest players. Others that were successful in the show proved too intimidating for her.

I think some of her speaking issues are because she doesn't have a definitive thought in her head.
She starts the sentence, pauses to gauge the reaction, adjusts what she's going to say based on the reaction. She does the pause/gauge thing after every 2-3 words. Thus the stilted, incoherent sentence.
Notice that she doesn't talk like that when she's screaming at her kids. She doesn't make sense a lot of the time when yelling at them, but it's not that stilted incoherent stuff.
I did not look at the picture of tfw laying across/on TW 's lap, but what are her teens going to think when they see it? And you know they will. Wonder what the sheeple think when they look at it?

I think TFW's problem when speaking is that she's trying to sound more intelligent, polished and refined than she is and is always searching for the $10 word to use. Unfortunately, it always comes out sounding like "I and Velma ain't dumb!".
I think all the contestants assumed(or were told) that they would be asked their opinion of who should win. It sounds more like Kate made up a little speech that she had memorized or at least had a list of "key" words and phrases to say. But she couldn't remember in what order the words were supposed to go. She started to say "I appreciate", but then stammered out what ever she could remember, finally saying "I appreciate that".
It's like the teleprompter in her mind short-circuited. Maybe she figured by that late in the show, Trump wasn't going to mention her at all, and she actually got shocked when he called her name.

She was completely out of her element up there with all the bright lights and glam. I think she actually suffers from stage fright. She's Kate the clodhopper and it shows. She's got nothing. If they rented a mannequin and just lugged it around for the duration of CA no one would have known the difference. She put as much effort into this as she did into DWTS.

So I felt compelled to watch "19 Kids and counting."
The Duggar clan seems to be much more gentle in nature. Noticibly more quiet than the Gosselins. The mother comes across as incredibly kind. Can't say I agree with their way of living, but it appears they respect and love one another. No drama, no hitting.
There has to be squabbling and bickering, but is it out of respect, perhaps they don't show it?

Bless your unsuspecting newbie (to the Duggars at least) heart Ms. Reader. While I agree that it is much more peaceful to watch the Duggars, once you learn more about their religious beliefs and realize that they sold out their children's privacy just as much as Jon and Kate did, you may have a change of heart about the Duggar parents.
Mrs. Duggar basically turned the running of the house and the raising of the younger children onto the backs of her older daughters. That's called abdicating responsibility in my book -- not good parenting. However, I will agree that it appears that the offspring are treated better than the Gosselin kids and appear to have greater freedom to play, make a mess, know their cousins, get out and see family friends, etc. Still, I find much to dislike in how Mr. and Mrs. Duggar "earn a living," and in their extreme religious views.\
I'd say that they know better how to package and market themselves than Kate does.

I have sick ones here today. Is this stomach bug thing that's been going around short-lived, or does it hang on for days and days or weeks and weeks!? I don't think it's the flu, and it's nothing we ate (although we did have Chinese take-out last night), but gosh, this is miserable for everyone involved! I thought we'd get through the winter relatively unscathed, but no such luck.

I'm sorry you and yours are under the weather. I'm not sure which bug is going around in your area, but a bad flu has been making the rounds here and I got it. Now normally with a virus, I might feel it coming on and I'll take the day off work and sleep it off. That usually works. Not so this time. I didn't feel it coming, it came on very suddenly after running errands one Saturday morning, and it laid me low for a week. High fever, miserable headache, nauseas, achy, dizzy, sore throat and bad cough (that made my head hurt even worse). I hope that is not what you have in your house :( Feel better soon!

Anyone else have any idea what time frame this word might be from. For example, when I hear "groovy," I think of the late 60's, early 70's. "Gnarly dude!" or "bitchin!" makes me think of the 80's and surfer culture (at least in the media portrayal of that time). But "rockin body" has me puzzled.
Every once in a while, a celeb gets a second, or third! Career wind from a show like this. Especially when someone like Brandi can show a different dimension than a RH, or Leeza coming back to people's minds. There has been gossip about leeza jumping into The View, or another morning show. This really could have been a chance for Kate if she had absolutely any kind of skill set to get more TV opportunities that would not involve exploiting her kids.

Milo has always said that when describing Kate. Her rockin bikini body, her rockin hot dress,etc. She's also used the "Kate (or Deanna or Jamie or whomever), you really "rocked it." I think for Milo, it's a take-off of "you rocked it." Rockin' appears to be current internet slang, and we know that Gladys like to be "hip' on such things -- she's one of the girls, don't you know?

I really didn't think the dress was bad. In fact, it was so much better than some of the stuff she's been wearing lately...much better than the outfits that looked like someone wrapped her in a colored Band-Aid, mummy style.
I think that bosom size depends on the cut and tightness of what you're wearing. The dress may have hiked them up somewhat so that they appear to be more inflated. "Girls" look bigger and bouncier in a tight sweater than they do in one of our muumuus.

I think she's got a heart of gold, but she seems to lack filters on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She also gets into trouble when she's had too much to drink. It says on the LCDS website school was closed today, Tuesday, The reason I was on there was because I was wondering about the pink tee shirts the kids had- boys were holding theirs- when Kate said they were returning from school ( she was not picking them up?) for the room reveal. I don't think Terrell made a lot of friends while in the NFL. He was traded a few times, played for Philadelphia for a couple of years. When he or the team he was playing for wasn't doing well, he was known for throwing his teammates under the bus....a lot.
And yes he did not see his children, at one point the offer was made to reduce his child support payment if he would visit his children.

Terrell grew up poor, raised by his mother and grandmother. He didn't meet his own father until he was 11. The man lived in the same town and Terrell says his Father wanted nothing to do with

I agree that Kate's next move will be more filming with TLC, but it's interesting how any filming has to be a big secret. TLC already announced that they will be filming more of "My Big Fat Fabulous Life", but they tend to try to keep any filming of the Gs a secret. Why? If they don't feel that there is anything to hide or be ashamed of, then they should just come right out and announce it. But they don't.
These specials averaged about 1.5 million each (400,000 less than last summer's specials). But there was publicity from CA, Kate got to go on talk shows because of CA, and of course there was the planted story about the "millionaire boyfriend". What do they have to draw attention and increase ratings for the next set of specials? CA is over, the talk shows don't seem to want anything to do with Kate (other than obligations due to CA), and the boyfriend story is old news. Without those things to draw viewers in, I expect that the next specials will get evan lower ratings.

I find it rather hard to believe that they all turned their backs on Kate Gosselin, or on anyone else for that matter. That level of immaturity would be very unlikely to be possessed by an entire group of people.
