My Bichons wouldn't wear a coat if you paid them and we go for long walks all winter. My groomer (who happens to show dogs and is a certified Master Groomer) told me that they are dogs and unless they are tied outside for hours at a time there is no need for a coat. (I'm in Canada)

Love your post Karen, please keep posting. You have many similar thoughts as I. Kate thinks she is a super star, as she is on 2 shows at the same time. Trying to get on CA for years.
I do think she took some coaching lessons regarding her speech (umm constantly) and her constant flapping hands to try to succeed on CA. And tried to latch on to whoever would support her due to their youth (Jamie and Shawn, as no other contestants wanted anything to do with her.) Geraldo did the coffee commercial with her which was an epic fail.
Her tweet last night was clearly a bash at CA. The angry person that she is, never mind her bash on the SB. She is clearly angry, and lashing, once again. Quite frankly, her K+8 shows are embarrassing and do NOT present her in a good light at all.
The whole room exchange effected all of the kids, and again she is catering to the twins, which was not fair to the tups. Tup girls very vocal, and tup boys very silent, to the point that she should be embarrassed. The majority of the kids do NOT want to film. Leah of all people saying she would leave as soon as she can.
The sad part is if she would actually talk to Jon, they might be able to come up with a good plan for the kids.

Breaking out in Zits on the face, from stress yes, I have heard of that. Kate says this at the beginning of the episode. If she had it on her face, which I did not see anything on her face, her face would have had zit like sores, and her face would be swollen. My mom had shingles in her 70's and it took almost 2 years to get rid of, it traveled around her middle, her neck, thighs, and arms, never her face. My brother had it on his thigh, his lasted about week. ?
Not surprised with TLC's Kate Plus 8 marathon crap running because that is all filler. I saw a commercial recently where TLC was promoting a new little people show with parents and kids all little people. Really screwed up. Apparently TLC is still going to show trash and exploit kids.

A family member had a serious case of shingles on his face, scalp and down his back. It lasted for well over a year and the pain has never left him. He was told it could travel to his eyes but thankfully never did.
I've had shingles twice. I wasn't stressed and have no idea why I developed it. Both cases were quite mild and on my upper back and I was close to asymptomatic. Had some itching and slight pain for a few days and they were gone in about two weeks. These days, as soon as you have symptoms or are dxed, you're put on an anti-viral drug which lessens the effects and duration. Perhaps that's what Kate did. Who knows. With her, it could have been acne, impetigo or maybe Zorro bit her.

I posted this thought way back yonder: I think it was the BV debacle plus the unsuccessful Hoffmann/Jon lawsuit that brought on her "stress disease". Of course she's not going to bring those topics up on camera so she'll just blame it on the kids.
If she did have shingles, it was mild. Everyone that I have known to have it says it was quite painful. We just have a hard time believing anything she says, like the boy who cried wolf.

It's sad that in Kate's 'we can never go back' world, she's hindering her children being able to 'go forward'.
Of course her teens have an instagram. Most kids do! It's a damn shame her kids can't be mediocre like the rest of their normal socially adjusted peers..instead they have to have super decoder rings and passwords to share what most of their peers take for granted.
Way to go, mother of the year. Another reason for your kids to think they are different from everyone else. I bet most of your kids would like to be able to go out in public and not be recognized. Ya know, just be KIDS.
I hope it was worth it, Kate, because you literally sold your children's childhoods for your own narcissistic parasitic needs.

Kate will again be her own downfall. That tweet last night about not watching CA, but to watch K+8 shows her lack of integrity and poor sportsmanship. A slap in the face to the Donald, but he's a big boy doesn't care most likely, but not someone you want to be on the bad side of. In stead of reminding people to watch her friends on CA get money for their charities, she acts like a little child. She has no integrity and no class.

Regarding the recent tweet from Coupon Cabin. Any one else think Kate pulled or did something after she was fired from CC. Maybe the person tweeting out was a target of whatever got her fired?

I agree, K + 8 is a filler. The Duggars are coming back full blast, The Little Couple, Our Little Family (new show), Love, Lust or Run, and Quints by Surprise, so who knows how many more shows TFW will get. She is a filler and she know it. Her shows are boring, disturbing and embarrassing, as far as I am concerned. Haven't watched her show live in years.
I hate the Hoarding Show,and several others due to "freak factor." TFW's show is just old, tired, and embarrassing to her kids, who clearly are not enjoying the filming. JMO
Another comment about the K+8- when they were packing, Kate said to Leah she didn't want her to wear certain clothes or she would look like a 'homeless person." How ignorant. In this weather, you can't but help think about those who sleep in doorways when turned away from overfull shelters. Many are mentally ill- shouldn't she not be so flippant?

Great post Angie- and it always was and will always about TFW using her kids for her own desire, with no thought towards the kids' well being or normalcy.
These kids have more than earned their right to a normal childhood, without scrutiny, but the Queen will not stop, as she is all about herself. Get a real job aside from filming your kids. Too selfish at this juncture.

It will be interesting to see how the sheep spin this, if they don't ignore it. Milo will tweet something about how Kate was fired because Donald knew that Kenya/Vivica create more drama, and therefore Kate was the sacrificial lamb (pun intended) in order to get higher ratings.

Kate has referenced "homeless" before -- remember the Alaska trip? Doesn't Kate buy the kids' clothing? If so, why would she even purchase something that would make the kids look "homeless?"
No more abbreviations, please. Unless they are use for repeats in the same post. For instance, first reference to Prescott/Jones in post, use Prescott/Jones, then abbreviate to P/J in later references IN THE SAME POST.
I've recently started reading on another blog, on another subject that I am interested in. I thought I was fairly knowledgable on the subject, but have to think about who C/B, C/L , and P/C are. Not to mention when I/K and S/Z changed partners, producing I/Z and S/K. And those are ones I recognize. There are at least a hundred of them! These abbreviations may save time for the writer, but they waste more time for the reader. I believe they also tend to drive away casual/new readers. When reading a post involves looking up reference after reference, I just skip the post. And if the whole blog is like that, I'm likely to desert the blog without ever getting in to it.
And those references are just abbreviations for people's names. They aren't abbreviations of semi-insulting or insulting nicknames, where there's no easy way of even looking it up. TFW and TFM were "cute" at first, but peppering the blog with more and more of these abbreviations makes us all look high-schoolish and cliquish. Only the in-crowd welcome here, and we become "in" by acting childish. Almost Kate-ish.
I know it's fun to suggest these, and I don't expect people to desert the well-established abbreviations, but no more, please!
I do think she took some coaching lessons regarding her speech (umm constantly) and her constant flapping hands to try to succeed on CA. And

I think the coaching staff employed by CA is waaaaayyyyy morw competent and pricier than TLC's. The other tlc families fare only slightly better than skhate when speaking, Little Couple maybe leading the pack.
I am convinced they know the tasks before they start filming. Ian got a hold of that helicopter pilot a little too quickly.
And how can skhate say phonegate happened the night before she was fired??
It was during the task that she was not present DUE TO HER BEING FIRED. What is.she insinuating?
