Here's some of the facts about this interesting ongoing stalking and burglary criminal case.
- Joshua James Corbett broke into Bullock's home in June 2014. Bullock, who had just returned from a media event, hid in a locked closet and called 911. The call was released today.
- Corbett will stand trial in Los Angeles. His preliminary hearing was today, in which he pleaded not guilty.
- Photos of Bullock and love letters to her were found on Corbett's person. He believes he is her husband.
- Bullock, normally a staple on the red carpet, has nearly become a recluse since the incident, making very few public appearances over the past ten months. The experience may have permanently traumatized her.

People are ridiculous. Some might not like that others cleaned out Target stores of merchandise and are reselling at a higher price on Ebay. Target did not place a limit on the amt of items sold to each customer. Ebay does not care. We live in a free market economy, and supply and demand rule the day. People need to get over it. It's just STUFF.
(I didn't say I agreed with what they did, but they didn't break any laws).

Radar has a new story up today that says Kate and Steve were caught getting a little to close for comfort, that a pap got photo proof of them together and TLC paid for the pics to protect Kate. How much longer does she think she can keep denying what is so obviously the truth about those two.

I got a real chuckle out of your post. I used to have a cat who would do that. I bought some cans of cat food labeled "kitty stew" once, and it had peas, carrots and bits of potato in it. He took a nibble, rolled a pea around in his mouth, and carefully spit it out. The carrots and potato, he liked. It was so funny to watch him. He always had this quizzical expression on his face while doing it, as if asking himself "what is this round thing?" .

Tucker's, Roo is a hoot. We could not have asked for a better match. Now that the snow is gone, she has resumed patrolling the fenced in back yard and "protecting" us from the neighbors. Sometimes she will just sit on the back porch and bark, then wait to see if there is a response. I try not to let her out too early or too late for this reason.
My only complaint is that when she stretches out, she takes up more than her fair share of the couch. Oh, and she chewed up one of my shoes. But only one.

I agree, angie. People can post them on Ebay all they want. It doesn't mean they'll sell. Also, people can purchase them if they're that desperate to score, and that's on them. I don't know which of the two are more pathetic, but I'm going with the ones who would buy them for that price.
As for the "money" shots of sKeve and sKate, here's what I would do. If I had those photos, there would be a bidding war. TLC vs. TMZ/ROL or whatever. If TLC were the highest bidders, I'd sell them to the tabloid for their previous bid. That way, you know what the market would bear and you make top dollar while still outing the lying liar who lies. Win-win.

The guy originally was very vocal and excited about getting a money shot, then suddenly he changed his tune and said the photo was of Kate with a fortune teller, or some such nonsense. It all seemed very shady at the time.
TLC buying incriminating photos? Makes sense all along. If it turns out, as we suspect, they just filmed in Mexico, then this story has got to be true. I bet a pap caught them kissing.

She certainly can legally take deductions in several different ways, since filming in it would be considered a legitimate business activity. She would need to have some income associated with it, and then apportion the deductions according to the percentage of business use.
One way could be to treat it similarly to renting out your home for part of the year--the expenses are split up by percentages.
It could also be done through a business entity, such as a corporation or a sole proprietorship. All business entities, except for a C corporation, flow to the personal return. Since, IIRC, the house is in her name, I tend to think it not a C corporation. If TLC paid for improvement, it would need to be recorded as income, but then she would have a corresponding deduction by being able to depreciate the improvement (repairs and maintenance are deductible in the year that they are paid, improvements have to be depreciated over time).
However, she would be able to deduct a percentage of many expenses that are not normally deductible--i.e. repairs, maintenance, utilities, insurance etc. A big benefit of rental income is that depreciation is deducted, which is not an actual expense (although there will be capital gains when the house is sold, unless the house has dropped in value).
There is nothing shady about this--millions of people do this. It is a sound financial strategy, in which a good portion of her daily living expenses can create deductions that will lower her taxable income.
Rental activities would be reported on a Schedule E, which flow to the business income line of the 1040 return. Since the wages line item was so low on the 1040 the RH posted, the bulk of her income is reported through a business, or multiple businesses.
I don't think that she straight up cheats on her taxes--she doesn't have to, since the tax system heavily favors businesses and the wealthy. Since there are people out there, whose sole purpose seems to be to destroy her, I doubt she would be vulnerable on that front.
One more thing....people here keep on referencing that she receives 1099 independent contractor income. 1099's are not required if the business entity is a corporation, and therefore would not be reported to the IRS.
I can understand TLC paying to have the picture(s) suppressed back in her glory days but not now. She has exceeded her shelf life. I would think they would be glad to get rid of her much like they did with the Honey Boo Boo family. It could be that the ROL story has been recycled although I must admit the photo that accompanied the article looks more recent.

I'm talking about doing an end-run around the child labor laws by diverting income and relabelling it as something else. If they were paid x number of dollars per episode one year and the next year, x was cut in half but the same amount of money shows up somewhere else, then to me, the intent would be clear. Legal or not? I'm no tax expert, but I know where I stand morally and ethically. If the money comes out of the kid's pockets, or never gets there in the first place, it's wrong. Period.

I'm not really into speculation. I like facts. Otherwise I treat what a I read and hearsay as gossip. In this instance I will speculate a tad and say there's a possibility that the ROL article was planted (by someone--won't speculate on that) for a ratings boost. Maybe they figure people will tune in to see how Kate and Steve are acting together. I just can't see TLC paying some outlandish price to bury photos.

It's similar to getting a giveaway item at a baseball game, and then putting it up on eBay. I've done that, when my son and I attend a game and we both get the giveaway item. We only need one, so I would list the other and make a little money. It wasn't in the hundreds of dollars. But for those who couldn't attend the game but really wanted the item, this is the only way they can probably get it.
I buy on eBay fairly often. There is no way I would pay hundreds of dollars for any Target dress - I don't care whose name is on the label.

If Gina and Steve were "separated or divorced" wouldn't you think that a pap interested enough in selling a story certainly could find out? I know those records would be sealed if the divorce were obtained in NZ, but they live in Maryland. How much effort would it take for a "source" or insider to report that the couple hasn't been living together? Certainly someone would know this and let it leak.

Not if she gets a W-2. If she's on TLC's payroll as an employee of theirs there's not going to be very many deductions available to her.
If they treat her like an independent contractor and 1099 her, then she can go for deductions out the wazoo, but she'd also be paying a ton more taxes.

I see it a little differently. TLC knows people will tune in to see the gaggle of Gosselin kids, and their landmark life events.
HBB was hurdling towards her expiration date, because the "cute" factor was quickly and inevitably becoming inversely proportional to her expanding waistline and smart mouth.
Sandra Bullock speaks about her son and relays cute stories, and credible ones, in a way Kate never could.

From what little I've heard of seizures they can be experienced in many different ways so watching one child suffer through one isn't going to necessarily help you assist your child. Also, it's intrusive and embarrassing to the child. From what I understand, most people who suffer from seizure disorders are absolutely mortified to have one in public.
A support group for those who have children who have seizure disorders is a better place to "learn", Grandma. Bet most hospitals can refer you to one.
Besides the obvious(having too many kids, having a buddy,etc), I never have understood why the Duggars (another site called them the "Duggashians", which made me lol!) have a tv show, since they don't allow their kids to watch tv. hypocrisy, thy name is Duggar!

It would be irresponsible for her to fail to take those deductions, because, every dollar saved on taxes is one less dollar of the kids' money spent. But the worst part for me was seeing the family camera man rush to her rescue. Not Mom. Not Dad.
And BTW, LP is extremely on trend now. Just like any other piece of fashion, some people like and some don't. For those of you wearing it, good for you. That is, if you have the figure for it. I think it looks good on many women.

I think the Duggars are disgusting. The girls raise the rest of the kids after the age of 6 months, the 2 bedrooms are dormitories, 1 for the boys and 1 for the girls. They spew hatred if they do not agree with your life style and the oldest son works for a hateful anti-gay agency. His aunt is a lesbian so I guess the family hates her too. I don't watch the show, but I do see the clips. The one where old JimBob called Jessa and Ben front and center to teach them how to kiss made me get the dry heaves. The grandmother does all the laundry, the girls cook, clean and rear their siblings while the "mom" just has babies all the time. I used to like TLC when it had educational programs, now not so much.

DWTS is airing a 10th Anniversary special next Tuesday. The show was taped last night and there was also an after party. Getty Images has some pictures, but there are none of Kate. On other websites, I have also seen pictures of her BFF's from CA, Vivica Fox and Leeza Gibbons being among the attendees, but alas, no Kate.
Since Kate was on twitter last night, I doubt she was there. Guess her invite got lost in the mail.

I saw on their program where they redid the chore distribution because Jessa and Jill left. And Joy Anna (I think 16) said something to the effect that the boys would probably tired after a week of doing their new chores and SHE would have to be after them to continue them. I thought, WFT? Not only does Joy Anna have to have several buddies to take care of but she has to follow through to make sure the kids do their assigned chores. This should be the Mother's job not the kids' job.
This whole buddy system is what makes me mad about the Duggars. The kids are raising the other kids. It is wrong, wrong, wrong.
And I was at grocery store and I glanced up and their was Jill on the cover of People again. Her wedding was also on the cover. I think TLC is paying People for having their "stars" on their covers. Just like Kate has been on many covers. Really, America is so interested in reading about little Jill Duggar's weddiing and birth of her kid. Afterall TLC covers both on their show. IIRC, there was very little reported under wages, which is where a W-2 would be reported. But, there was a big number in business income, which is where corporation, rental activities, LLC, partnership and sole proprietor income is reported. As I said above, corporations do not receive 1099s. Of course, the revenues still have to be reported--it just means that the IRS does not receive documentation.
It is just not true that she would be paying a ton, or any, additional taxes. I am sure that she comes out ahead. If she is a sole proprietor (files a schedule C) she would pay the additional FICA/Medicare on any profit that is under the annual threshold (around $90,000 for FICA)-around 7.5% ($6750). All of it is subject to income tax--the same as W-2 income. But, I am positive that the deductions for business use of her home would more than offset that, since she is in a much higher tax bracket than 7.5%. Certain kinds of corporations allow a pass-through of income as distributions that are not taxed at all, but the IRS expects that people who participate materially in a business will take a salary, which should have been reported on the wages line item. There isn't enough information on the 1040 to know for sure, but the small amount of wages reported on line 1 is evidence that the bulk of their income came through some kind of business entity.
Maybe you are thinking of a C corporation, which can result in double taxation? There are other types of corporations that do not--they function as a pass-through that is reported on a personal return. Even if it is a C corp, a good accountant can prevent double taxation.
I think that she had very good financial advice. If she hadn't , she would not be able to keep up this lifestyle.

I get it. The kids might not be getting their cut of "payments" made to Kate that were anything but cash, whether that's a tax break or something else. It's easy to give them a cut of cash. It gets harder when your payment is a personal chef.
Not only is her house an example, but anything else TLC may have paid for, like her expensive hair, clothes, trips to NYC and staff. Many of that may not have been gifts, but INCOME.
Ideally, if Kate is given a personal chef as payment, 15% of the value of that chef should have been squirreled away for the kids. That's just a hypothetical.

Admin, not only did Michelle whip out the camera, but she was beside Josiah's gurney RUNNING beside the gurney to capture every second. She also had a crazed happy look on her face. She should of at least been upset and had her head in her hands instead of filming him. He was severely hurt and he got out of the hospital way too quick. I remember him on the couch at home with all of the howlers bothering him and he looked so uncomfortable with the camera in his face. I've never watched the Duggers but maybe the mother suffers from a new syndrome Munchausen by Reality TV (MRTV). From the descriptions I've read she sounds positively giddy when one of the kids is hurt and she can be the center of attention. Thank God none of the G8 have suffered any real physical trauma because TFW would take MRT to a whole new level.

I guess this is possible, but not very smart. We don't know how the state-mandated 15% is distributed to the kids-- It could be as wages, or distributed through her hypothetical corporation. Since compensating the kids is state-mandated, I don't think the TLC would get involved in complicated re-allocations and open themselves up to tax complications.
Putting morals and ethics aside, she has turned her home and her life into a business. She has so many ways to raid the kids' funds to pay for all of their expenses, she really doesn't need to do all this complicated accounting. Whether her own corporation distributes the mandated money, or whether TLC directly paid them, there is a financial incentive to funnel as much as possible to each child.
Since each kid is paid, they will have had to file their own tax returns if their earned income is more than $6200. If the corporation is paid, and then the 15% is distributed on a W-2, then those payments are deductions. Since the kids would be in lower income bracket, that would lower the tax bill. That just gives her more money to access to pay for "their" expenses.
Anything that TLC gave them, such as a personal chef, furnishings, etc, would be considered additional compensation and reportable to the IRS. IDK whether the state would require that 15% of the value of that be paid to the kids. But again, it would just reduce her own taxable income, and she can just take that money anyway.
My point is that there is no reason to do all of the conniving--the IRS tax code has already done this for her, and the wealthy. Why would an accountant compromise their own ethics when there are perfectly legal ways to accomplish the same goals? Especially for someone who is under so much scrutiny?
I do believe that it is possible that they got nailed by the IRS for all of those cash donations from churches, since that was early on before they were raking in the big bucks. I am quite sure that the IRS got a number of tip-offs, and it is possible that they did follow up. There was an interview in which she referenced her enormous legal bills--I thought then that their may have been an audit.
I am shocked the bird is still alive with all the handling, stuffing into pockets, and freely flying around the house. Not in a million years would I have a loose bird in my car. Absolutely distracting and the dumbest idea ever. I am glad the bird pooped on her. It was probably extremely anxious.

See, this is another subtle example of mental abuse, the mindf%$#&*% she does to their heads. On the surface she "looks" like a loving pet owner. She allows that bird to crap anywhere and everywhere and she's ok with it, but if the kids make a mess (had to scrape poo out of the hardwood grooves with a toothpick when they were potty training) she goes ballistic. Just as recently as the last special where she freaked out over the paint, or the towel, or the other episode where "not a single granule of sugar better leave the counter" Not only does she encourage and pit those kids against one another, but they also have the bird's special treatment to contend with.
She does so many little sneaky underhanded things to those kids, this is just another one to add to their huge list.

They absolutely can fly with clipped wings. My sister has an Amazon parrot, whose wings are clipped as far down as they can be clipped, and he still is able to fly around in his "bird room." Take-offs are kind of clumsy, but he can still do it.
I'm anxious to see what our resident bird person says about all of this. I hope she's sedated (or has a keg of Rumspringa nearby) at the time because she is going to have a fit!
There was a story posted here about a bird that caused a car accident. If Kate took that bird in the car without it being in a carrier, then she needs to be read the riot act by the bird vet because she doesn't deserve to have a bird. State police say a woman blames her coffee-drinking pet parrot for distracting her moments before she crashed her car into a guardrail in Pennsylvania.
Troopers from Uniontown say the 35-year-old woman was driving on a South Union Township road just before 5 p.m. Tuesday when she noticed the bird pecking at the lid of her coffee cup. The woman says she struck the guardrail when she glanced down to see what the bird was doing.
The woman told police that the bird likes to drink coffee — and they also found bird seed in a cup holder next to the coffee and a few feathers nearby.
Police say the woman broke her arm and had facial cuts because her air bag deployed.
The bird was safely removed from the vehicle.
As we turned onto the road, Zorro chirped happily as I slowly drove home, trying to avoid dizziness, or whatever, as he took in all the sights. It wasn’t long before he decided he had to go potty. Of course, memories of having two year olds came flooding back! Ha! I decided to pull over, and only then realized it was too late. He mistook my most comfy bus stop pajama-type sweatshirt for his “potty” and used it generously. Gross. Sigh.

As I previously posted, DWTS taped their Anniversary special Tuesday night, followed by an after party. It will air this Tuesday, April 28. Many former contestants were at the taping and at the party, and some will appear on the show.
But where was Kate? It makes me laugh to think that while DWTS was celebrating a milestone, Kate was sitting at home, writing blogs about mediocre stuff like well pumps breaking and birds shitting.
Guess all those "lifelong friendships" she made at DWTS didn't know how to help her.

She just took her idiot status to a whole new level. You never let a bird ride loose in the car. Apparently this was his first trip. Anything could have spooked him and he could have bolted for the floor, got caught under the brake or accelerator and caused a major accident.
What in the world is wrong with this woman? She is a loose cannon. This is unbelievable. Her avian vet, if she has one, needs to tell her not to pull this stunt again. I know that the one who we use would have a coronary over this.
I would not have a bird pooping in garbage cans in my house. How nasty is that? That woman is no germaphobe.
And how do you house train a bird? Sounds like Zorro is not house trained if he has accidents and she has to leave garbage cans everywhere. Gawd, she is delusional, nasty and stupid.

I've read much better writing from middle school students. It's a good thing that English was her best subject, though. Imagine how bad it would be if she had not excelled in English. She can't write come hell or high water.

Who was trying to "avoid dizziness", her or Zorro? I think she meant Zorro, but the way she wrote it, it comes across as her.
She needs to go to Amazon stat, and order a copy of "Grammar for Dummies".
As far as how she knew he had to poop, perhaps he yells "Holy crap!" to let her know.
I think this renewed interest in the blog is a lead up to the show airing.

I agree. You don't, however, write about a bird loose in a car and risk the wrath of bird and pet owners who read it. Such stupidity, both in putting Zorro in the car and then writing (and joking) about it. Gawd.
I can't believe that bird is still alive.
So does anyone believe for a minute that she actually took the bird in the van.......
