Notice that he didn't say ALL Plaintiffs, just Plaintiffs, referring to the Plaintiffs who applied for licenses and received them.
Liberty Counsel is assuming that ALL the Plaintiffs have applied and received licenses and based their appeal on that, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
That one couple is going to make a lot of difference in how this all plays out.

lol! We seldom eat like that here. We don't put our chicken and fish on top of lettuce, beans or veggies. Our bowls are on the table and we serve family style. We're kind of meat and potatoes people. Meat goes on one side of the plate, potatoes on the other side and the salad in a separate bowl. I guess we're really mediocre.
Ii guess if kids have grown up on such food as Blue Apron prepares, then they might like it. Some, though, would say, "What's this stuff? Can't we go to KFC?"
Maybe Kate isn't going to prepare those meals, but left instructions for her cook to put the ingredients together.

I didn't find much I liked either plus I wouldn't want to plunk down that kind of money and still have all the prep and clean up to do. Makes no sense to me. But then I don't have 8 live-in servants. I wonder if Kate only eats the salad portion and if she shovels it in standing at the kitchen counter.
I agree Lanc Native. Take out would be much easier and cost about the same as a BA meal. The prep time on their "gourmet" meals for TFW's family would take forever.

Yes. If you're busy and don't have time to cook, you call Chili's curbside service (or order online), place your order, use your coupons, park in the designated pick-up space, take it home, sit your kids down, and there's supper. No prep time, no fuss, no need to run the dishwasher.

Deanna is now arguing with the non-fans over Blue Apron about how she sent TFW a free trial because as a subscriber you get vouchers to do that. Wisely BA has stayed out of it even thought they've been included in the tweets. Maybe instead of wasting her time arguing Deanna should be telling TFW that if she doesn't cancel her "free" week she'll automatically be subscribed to the service. This truly is the "gift" that keeps on giving.

You'd think Liberty Counsel would read the internet! Maybe Kim intends to disappear when the final couple applies for its license. That way she can "allow" it to be issued but pretend it didn't happen. Then she can go back to forbidding the deputies from doing their jobs.
I thought I saw that Liberty Counsel is also saying the governor should be forbidden from instituting a same-sex marriage mandate. I thought that was settled by the Supreme Court in June. If something is legal and equal, you don't stand in its way by making it difficult.

Just because someone goes to boarding school doesn't mean they were shipped off. That might even be a great option for more than C as it would give the Gosselin kids some individual attention and get them away from Katie. Prince William and Prince Harry were only 8 when they were shipped off. They turned out ok.

Then I read a few of their timelines, with all of the hatred they tweet to and about non-fans, while at the same time criticizing them of hating on Kate and how evil it is to hate. Such hypocrisy. Such a phony, holier-than thou attitude.
It is then I think that no, I'm not there yet (feeling sorry for their ignorance).

Some have suggested that there could be a problem with Kate's brain -- the disconnect, and that it's not wired right. There could also be a chemical imbalance. That's not to be snarky, but it's an observation. She's always putting her foot in her mouth, and doesn't think before she speaks and tweets.
I wonder if the same is true with the fans and therefore they are unable to internalize and to think logically, and thus, that's why they follow her. They are so much like her and can easily identify with her. They're all in the same boat when it comes to critical thinking and socialization skills. Birds of a feather, and all that.
OT, I was listening to a Freakonomics podcast the other day and they were talking about how very smart people usually lack social skills and don't really care, but that somehow, thinking they're smarter than everyone else is ultimately their downfall.

I would think that the degree to which BA is helpful is inversely proportional to the amount of people you feed.
It's all individually packaged stuff, so it seems to me that you'd have a ton of stuff to open.
It's actually inefficient as well as expensive.
It must be the thrill of the grift, because BA isn't built to feed large families.
Kate will say how convenient it is and blah, blah blah, but it's really a joke that this "organic" scratch cook would use such a service.

Here's what is amusing. Milo goes on hiatus for more than a month. The non-fans are still jumping on Kate for whatever and Milo remains silent. But when Deanna surfaces to respond to the "haters," Milo can't help herself. She has to get right into the fracas because nobody, and I mean nobody, can defend Kate without Milo getting on board. She won't let anyone upstage her when it comes to defending Kate. Jealousy rears its ugly head and she can't let Deanna become Kate's protector, not as long as Milo is around.
It's sad, but amusing nevertheless.

Cbs Sunday morning interviewed Justice Stephen Breyer. They asked him about Kim Davis. I didn't realize Davis had asked the Supreme Court to intervene and they declined. I'm not sure that happened. Anyway Breyer's answer was something like there will always be people who disagree with our decisions and really this is nothing. I remember when we had to send the army in to escort the students into school after Brown V Board of education.

I know so many of us are on the same page here. We've had so many great suggestions for binging/streaming.
I don't think I would have watched BrBa if it wasn't for the huge fans here talking about how amazing it was.
Now, I'm hooked on shows from Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand etc.
I think cable is mostly crap. I get that we've got our guilty pleasures in this Real Housewives show or that Kartrashian show, but I don't think anyone here believes any of these reality tv show are real and I really don't think any of us here worship reality tv parents who make money by selling the private lives of their children.
There are some good shows on premium cable, but basic is pablum.
Streaming is where it's at and thank goodness we are getting to pick and choose so we can optimize our decent viewing/money ratio.

Agree. Kate didn't necessarily try to shed her image as an ogre. In fact, being hated was really working for her and if that's what it took to keep her in the headlines, she was more than fine with that.
She did it for the money and don't forget, Kate was riding the TLC wave, with K+8 well underway, undeterred by Jon's efforts to stop filming, AND, she had Twist of Kate greenlit.
I don't know exactly what happened to the latter, but if Kate was actively promoting it while on DWTS, it was happening.

I read the full article I misunderstood what Kim was saying. She's saying I'm willing to issue them without my name but without my name I'm not sure if they're valid.
The part about her being willing to have the office issue them if it says they were issued pursuant to a federal court order seems SO petty. Christians and other religious choose their faith over a career path all the time. She's not special. A Christian might choose not to be a doctor or nurse who works at an abortion clinic, a sheriff's deputy who works death row, or work at a synagogue. You don't as a Christian become an abortion doctor and then say okay I'm not performing any abortions.

At one point, I really thought she'd get a chance at her own cooking show. Seemed like a no-brainer.
For as much as Kate claims to love being on tv, when she's completely on her own, not being fed pre-approved and scripted questions about herself, she looks like she's got terrible stage fright.
Her "cooking" demo at the Baltimore book festival was painful to watch. She wants so badly to be relaxed and natural, but her nerves get in the way.
Kim Davis' lawyer has said that the fact that she was divorced three times and married four, does not go against her religious beliefs because she has repented for those sins.
Yet, she is currently married and living with the second guy she married, not the first. So isn't she still committing adultery every single day, according to her religious beliefs? Does she repent every single day, and then goes on to repeat the same sin?
I'd like her to explain how that abides by her "strong" religious convictions.
The issue with the Blue Apron situation is that Deanna and Kate deliberately made it public. I'm sure Kate has Deanna's phone number and vice versa. A simple text from Deanna saying "I'm sending you a coupon for two free Blue Apron meals" and a reply from Kate saying "Thanks, I'll let you know how the meals turn out" would have been more than sufficient.
Instead they have to do in on Twitter using the public forum. They are working in cahoots to try and keep Kate in the public eye as much as possible. Kate knows she is generally looked upon unfavorably for her grifting and knows any hint of begging will stir up her twitter timeline; however, she would rather stir up negative emotions and arguments rather than simply fade away.
The villain is a necessary part of entertainment and many actors have lamented that people in real life think they are bad people just because they play a villain on TV. I wonder if Kate has any self-awareness that she actually is the person people see on TV and the animosity is directed at her, not some made up character created by a screenwriter.

Not because we disagree but because we don’t take the bible seriously. If ever there was a case of “he who is without sin cast the first stone”, this is it. If ever there was a “take the log out of your eye” moment, this is it.
We must stop looking to the government to make America a Christian utopia. Our kingdom is not of this world.
We must abandon all thoughts of fixing others and let Jesus fix us.

I love the contrast with Brian the deputy clerk. If you watched his interview with NBC, he answered most questions with yes or no or I don't know. The only longer answers were to how many licenses had been issued and something about the chaos. He said "It's been a little hectic, but you know we still carry on business like we normally do." I'll be very surprised is Brian tries to milk his 15 minutes of fame.
I wondered about Kim Davis's vacation day offer. Did she mean they could take a regular vacation day, or that she'd give them an extra "free" one? That might be hard to turn down.

Maddie Brown's announcement of engagement to a man 10 years older isn't something to celebrate in my mind. She walked away from a full ride scholarship at USU. She had high ambitions of serving on the supreme court. This guy does have plgy roots. This is something to celebrate in my opinion. They both look pretty grungy if you ask me.

NO, even I can't keep a straight face with that explanation. I doubt that she even knows it is a holiday, and somehow I doubt her deputies are Jewish. I am glad one or more showed up. Paula--I was wondering that, too. If a heterosexual couple comes in will their license also read "pursuant to Federal court order", or will she sign those? Guess we won't know until someone reports on it.
Also, will the licenses be valid with words "x'ed" out on them?
I hope someone notifies the judge about these alterations, and not just wait until 14 days from now when the clerks have to give the judge an update.
I also would like to know what she'll do if all of her appeals are denied. Will that finally cause her to resign?

Our rescue yellow lab is doing great. She's been coming out of her shell and getting a bit cheeky with testing her limits, but we'll be starting formal training hopefully this week or next.
Otherwise, it's shocking how well socialized she is and what basic obedience she came to us with.
But....THE SHEDDING!
We get that labs shed- had a black lab and the hair was a constant, and sometimes she'd go into a big shed, but nothing like this.
The bad shedding started about 1-2 weeks after we brought her home.
We saw her hairs and weren't surprised, but she's losing hair like crazy right now!
Her appetite is good and we feed top shelf dog food.
We're grooming almost daily with a Furminator, and gave her a bath only once (understand that's not the answer for a dog with essential coat oils)
Anyone? Bueller?!!!
p.s. She's not 100% yellow lab and looks to have some collie in her. Her coat looks to be quintessential lab.
I believe KY law at present clearly states that only county clerks can issue marriage licenses. It is true that in some states notaries can issue the license, but she is changing the law. I believe the license issued today is invalid. Have any attorneys in the media addressed this?

Shedding! Oh, my gosh. We have a collie and I have big balls of white cotton hair from her upper legs all over the floor. It looks like a snowstorm. This happens every fall and spring, but this year is worse than ever. Vacuuming isn't the answer. I would have to clean out that thing every few minutes. I have found that using a large bristle brush at the end of the sponge mop picks everything up, but I have to do it several times a day. The ¨cotton balls¨ just come out in clumps. What a mess, but we love her dearly!

I have been watching tumble-weeds of black fur roll across the floor all spring and now for the last 4 weeks, it is crazy. Our previous black lab(ish) shed heavily a couple times a year but in between it decreased notably and actually, as she got older, we saw less deluges.

That was such an odd thing to say.
As county employees their vacation is likely very specific. I doubt Kim has authority to grift a vacation day. And to encourage the vacation day in a way that sounded like a veiled threat, even if that perhaps was not her intention whatsoever, was completely inappropriate. HR needs to get involved with this woman, and she either needs to quit or do a lot of training to understand how to conduct herself in the workplace. It's not okay to make employees feel like they have to burn a vacation day they would rather save for something else.

The fact that she said that she would have no problem recording marriages and issuing marriage certificates once a ceremony has taken place, shows that she thought she wouldn't even have to worry about that, thinking that no one would officiate a marriage that she hadn't "authorized".
How many times did she use the word "unauthorized" in her press conference? That was her "go to" word. She also said that she never wanted to be a "hero" or to be in the "spotlight", yet she said "I want the whole world to know If any [deputy clerk] feels that they must issue an unauthorized license to avoid being thrown in jail, I understand their tough choice, and I will take no action against them,"
If you don't want to be in the "spotlight", why are you speaking to the "whole world"?
She still doesn't get it that Liberty Counsel(and several Presidential candidates) are just using her to further their own agenda.

I thought Bindi was very good and I was surprised Kate did not tweet about her appearance. My prediction is Kate is going to be working overtime behind the scenes to try to get one of her girls on next season.

I really can't believe that Gary Busey scored higher than the Atlanta housewife. He was a hot mess, but that's why they hire him for shows like this. Gary can always be counted on to bring the crazy! His season of CA was one of my favorites.
I was surprised at how good and personable Bindi was.

Gary Busey isn't entertaining on any level for me. He can't dance and he's so off the wall that everyone looks extremely uncomfortable.
Maybe on a scripted, edited show he can be a draw, but he makes me want to change the channel instead of squirm.
Maybe DWTS thought they'd get the same bounce off of him that CA did, but this is just cringe-worthy.
I think that DWTS thought they'd get bounce off of Kate, too....but she didn't deliver. Just like she was a colossal fail on CA.

Remember when the scores came out for Paula and Louis, did you see how bad she was shaking and trembling, her hands? I thought she was going to have a nervous breakdown right there.
Also, to me her dress looked really tight on her, she could hardly move.

I say this with a lot of empathy for Paula- yes, she looked like she was about to shake her flase eyelashes right off.
She has a history of crippling phobias, and DWTS might be pushing her limits too much right now.
I think she gets diarrhea of the mouth when she's nervous, hence the awful crass comments and behaviors.
