Blogger and reality star Jaime Primak Sullivan defends exploiting her children

Facing mounting criticism from her readers after posting daily updates and photos of her young children, the Yahoo mommy blogger and 'Jersey Belle' star lashes out.

Sullivan says it's okay to exploit her kids. Here, we respond to her flawed and misguided reasoning.

  • Sullivan says the support of strangers is a beautiful thing.

Our response: It's normal for human beings to want to feel loved and supported. However these emotions almost all feel deeper and more sincere when they come from people you have a stake in, namely family and friends. Most strangers probably have all good intentions when it comes to offering support to another stranger, but how do you distinguish the good from the unhealthy or even sinister, especially when the support is for your little children? And why aren't these strangers concentrating their support on their own friends and family?

  • Sharing her children's humor brings joy to her 100,000 readers, which in turn brings Sullivan joy.
Our response: Again we ask, wouldn't the emotion of joy be felt much deeper if it were a grandparent, husband, friend or sibling your children brought joy to? What's more, children should not be brought into the world to bring other's joy. That puts too much of a burden on a young child who will not always feel silly or joyful. A child needs to be free to experience a variety of emotions, including getting angry and acting out, without the pressure put on him to make others happy all the time, much less complete strangers.
  • I never post if they ask me not to, Sullivan says.
This is good I suppose. However, it's not enough. The Sullivan children are not teenagers like the Gosselin twins, getting to an age where they fully understand what they want the public to see and not see. They are only seven, six, and four years old. None of them are even remotely old enough to understand the implications of posting a photo on social media. They are not old enough to even be told about what physical and emotional dangers could befall them from such posts, let alone capable of understanding those dangers. Sullivan needs to be the adult here and make these adult decisions for them instead of burdening them with decisions they are not old enough to understand. Sullivan also needs a much better understanding of her children's emotional and cognitive development before burdening her children with the complex decision of whether something should be posted on social media.
  • The risk the children might someday look back on what Sullivan did and resent it are not any greater than letting a child play football, go trick-or-treating at night or to a sleepover, or letting a child ride a bicycle down the street.
Not knowing how her kids will feel someday, it's hard to compare risks. The risks may be the same. They might be less, they might be much more. It will depend on her individual children.  However the risks Sullivan compared social media to have a very important distinction. Those other risks all enhance childhood to a degree so important that it's worth any negligible danger. Those risks all promote a child's social and emotional development. It's important for children to strike out into the world and learn how to navigate it, whether that's on a bicycle or at a friend's house, or playing a team sport.

Social media, in striking contrast, does not provide any benefit to her children. Social media does not make her children's lives any better or worse. It certainly makes Sullivan feel better. It clearly justifies her, makes her feel important, makes her feel validated, and is financially lucrative. But her children reap none of these benefits. They're just kids, too young to feel the complex emotional gratification Sullivan does after every "like".

  • Sullivan believe the risk of pedophiles coming after her children is unlikely and overstated.
Why take the risk at all when there is no benefit to them to plaster them all over social media?

  • As a parent, Sullivan has a "given" right to decide what's best for her children.
She does. And when she chooses to make those rights public, readers have a right to criticize it.  As one comment said so pointedly on Sullivan's blog post, "The real reason(s) that you let people watch your kids online is for the money and because you want to be popular."

Final thoughts. As for the #noshameparenting hashtag, talk about confusing the issue. No one is asking anyone to feel shameful about parenting. We're simply asking that parenting be done in private. What's particularly frustrating about this situation is that Sullivan is a smart and savvy businesswoman who has made it on her own. She spent years in Los Angeles as president of a highly successful PR firm for some of the hottest bars and nightclubs, and recently started venturing into movie production. Her husband is a high powered lobbyist  She doesn't "need" to exploit her children to be successful. Due to the Sulllivans' hard work and success, their children's privacy rights can be protected without need for them to earn the family's paychecks for their parents. We urge the Sullivans to give their children that right.

Oh, and, don't mean to open the political talk black hole....but Trump's new commercial taking Bill Clinton's comments out of context as an "endorsement" of him is quite clever. Only Trump.
*************************
What is so clever about splicing together interview clips and titling the ad "An endorsement?" I rarely agree with Jeb Bush, but he is 100% correct when he says Donald Trump is not a serious candidate. Trump is a buffoon who needs to take his shtick back to reality TV where it belongs.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

What is a "serious" candidate? He may not be a "serious" candidate by whatever your definition is, and Bush can complain about him all he wants, but he's absolutely soaring in the polls and has been for months. Unless someone does something drastic, Trump's got the nomination, period.

&&&&

That's it in a nutshell, serious or not.

They were talking on the radio about how Hillary tends to fade from the headlines for a few weeks every so often then pop back up to announce her candidacy, only to fade away again. Lol, it's funny because it's true.

Say what you like about Trump, but he consistently finds a way to grab a headline every single morning. Even if it means he has to splice together a off the wall campaign commercial, or tweet some ridiculous complaint about a barely misleading headline, or throw some out of left field attack against someone over something people moved on from a decade ago. Trump plays the media like a fiddle. He's good at it. The other candidates, even the Clintons who have decades of experience handling the media, can't do what he's doing right now. This is the most interesting campaign season of my lifetime. Loving it.

In a strange way, Trump's headline greed reminds me a little bit of Kate in her heyday. I think back in the day when she had a little more energy and was more popular, at times she would deliberately say something controversial or show up somewhere she knew she would be photographed just to get her headline fix. I think the press lost interest and she can't do this anymore, but she was definitely shamelessly headline chasing in her heyday. A lot of these D list types are cut from the same cloth.

Do you have any idea what it is like to be a candidate? I do. Many years ago my father was a friend of a Presidential candidate. It is emotionally and physically draining. It is not all fun and games that one does on a whim. If you are not serious, you just don't do it. Period. Bush is so far behind in the polls right now that no matter what he says it really doesn't matter one way or the other.

Benghazi and those darn e-mails will be dogging Hillary no matter if she wins the nomination. Those issues are a thorn in her side. Even if one likes the Clintons, she will have that hanging over her head throughout the campaign, and so many voters just don't have much trust in her because of it.

I agree, admin. This is a very interesting campaign and has put a new spark into an otherwise dull election.

Wouldn't you like to ask Kate what she thinks about the Benghazi attack? :)

I didn't hear that Lamar was getting dialysis 6 hours a day. It's possible since he was that sick. When I woke up from my coma they had finished 3 days of constant (24 hr) dialysis. And I am a much smaller person than Lamar. I can see him doing 6 hours now and eventually stabilizing around 5 hours. 5 hours, 6 hours, it all feels pretty sucky.

If he needs a transplant, any chance of a Kardashian offering to be tested? I guess only if it's an episode.

Yeah, that's what they're reporting. Oh and I like how multiple sources keep saying B.S. they are FILMING! They are LYING if they say they are not! LOL!

Oh and in other breaking news, it was also reported he told his Kardashian ex-wife that he loved her. That's sweet. I see an episode arch there. Maybe even several.

&&&&&

I think at this level you'd have to be nuts to enter such a race. Certainly serious. That is exactly because of how much work and stamina and emotional and physical energy is required. I still don't know what "serious" candidate means, but I think Trump is very serious about this and to his credit, he definitely has shown he has an incredible amount of energy required for all this. To his credit, I find him to be pounding the pavement the hardest of anyone. You may not like what he's saying while doing so, but that takes a level of energy, and seriousness, that can't be ignored.

I really don't see some other candidate swooping in and pulling the rug out from under him. The Obama situation in 2008 was a unique situation. He had all the charisma and rising stardom and celebrity that was required to pull it off. Most people knew even at this same time in the 2008 election that he could be a real dark horse. And he wasn't pulling small percentages that were anything to balk at. He had serious numbers even in October 2007, the same time we are at now. He steadily crept up on Hilary for the next several months and only a fool wouldn't have seen that coming.

There simply isn't anyone else out there for 2016 who has those qualities and can make a break for it. Who is going to steal Trump's thunder, the Lindbergh baby? Most of the other choices are doofuses. There's only one or two other candidates who are qualified, and one has an unfortunate name too many people despise to elect yet again, and the other has too many people worried he'll keel over from a heart attack before he even reaches 90 days in office. I don't see it.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

&&&&

Well, in fairness, I think people are responding to the fact that this particular D lister is asking some touch questions and bringing up some uncomfortable issues voters want to hear about, and he's a straight talker which voters apparently appreciate. I don't think people are just into it because it's lookie loos who want to see a D lister prance around a campaign. We can turn on the TV any day of the week if we'd like to see D listers prance!

What Trump is doing, however, is forcing people to talk about the tough questions. You know what, I think I do want to hear what Bush thinks about his brother being blamed for 9-11. Because quite frankly, that's what a government investigation concluded. Or at least that he was warned a month prior but did not act. I'm not saying that was right or wrong but I want to hear what the candidates have to say about that.

But for Trump would we be talking about that issue? Hell no. People don't like to talk about that. It makes them uncomfortable. No one wants to blame any American for 9-11, much less a president who did a darn good job being the nation's rock those first few weeks afterward. Trump made us talk about it, and good for him, because it's important. It could happen again, and I want to know what they all would do today if they had the information Bush did. It's a good question, and Trump is right to bring it up.

I don't know if that's sad. I think it's a good thing. He was a mover and shaker in New York for decades, long before he was a D lister reality star. Now if one of the Real Housewives were a candidate performing this well, I might find that harder to swallow!

Not all polls are bulls##t and not all are created equal. It depends on so many things, including methodology, sampling and margin of error. Sometimes we do elect based on polls if they are manipulated in favor of a certain candidate. Unfortunately, polls can be used this way...to sway voters one way or the other.

Because Trump's name is booed on some shows this means that most of the country hates him? That analysis/conclusion seems to be just as unreliable as any poll!

Anyway, this is Trump repeating his "birther" strategy. He's very good at putting something toxic out there and letting it hang like a festering cloud over his target's head, while he sits back and watches the person inhale the teratogenic fumes.
------------------------
The Conservative Party (and Steven Harper) in Canada used that strategy for about ten years, until people got really tired of it and got an opponent who refused to play that game. Many Canadians are breathing a big sigh of relief over Monday's election results.

Ree Drummond was on the View today with her new cookbook. She was making her meatballs and explaining how to do them in bulk all the same way and then freeze them 25 to a bag and you can just add them to different sauces. She said she does batches of 250 at a time. The uses are endless. Meatball subs, spaghetti, Alfredo noodles, pizza, lasagna.

If TFW was to open a bag of 25 for the kids supper, they would get 3 each and one for herself. Oops, I forgot about Steve. He doesn't eat salads.

Which kid will have to give up a meatball?

I watched Trump last night on Fox and heard for the first time that he had written a book about predicting the twin towers 19 months before it happened. He said that something bigger was going to happen. He did really good last night on that interview.
*******
To be fair, Trump wasn't exactly brilliant in deducing that something, at some point, was going to happen to the Twin Towers.
The Blind Sheik masterminded the 1993 bombing, and he didn't get the job done.
It didn't take a genius to predict that the Towers were always going to be in the crosshairs, and that the enemy would continue to attempt to bring them down.

Yes, Tucker's, the Blind Sheik. He was horrible!

But, I have always agreed with Trump about the rebuilding of the Twin Towers. Build them back exactly the way they were but add 1 floor to each building. This is what they should of done instead of building the one building. Makes me think of the one building as the NWO building.

I forgot to add that Ree on the View was so great this morning. What she wanted to say just flowed so easy and great and she was very aware of her surroundings. Whoopie was coming up from behind and she said, Come on in Whoopie, I was hoping you would be here while stirring and adding things.

Then talking to Joy next to her, stirring and telling Whoopie about the pulled pork sandwich she was eating.

Wow, she can multi-task, while TFW can barely dress herself to take her kids to the bus stop and talks about it on twitter.

TFW could never do something like this. The Baltimore cooking demo by herself was very hard to watch.

My prediction (based only on gut instinct, influenced by a few rumspringas!):

Trump will win the election because the middle-class, including hard-working, blue-collar Americans are sick and tired of do-nothing career politicians and any change is better than no change.

Hillary will lose because Americans do not want a dual Presidency of HillClinton is the White House, which is exactly what it would be. The fact that she is not trusted because of Ben Gazi and those "what" e-mails (plus the other controversial issues in which she was involved) is secondary in the whole scheme of things.

Oh and in other breaking news, it was also reported he told his Kardashian ex-wife that he loved her. That's sweet. I see an episode arch there. Maybe even several.
------
She's not an ex-wife yet. The divorce papers have not been finalized so they are still legally married. No doubt the K's are thanking their lucky stars for an overloaded court system that has held up the paperwork. And yes, many episodes to come. This is a storyline that famewhores usually only dream about. The K's will milk it for all it's worth.
----------------------------

According to TMZ, the divorce has been called off and they have a copy of the court documents to prove it.

"Khloe and Lamar have jointly gone to court to dismiss their divorce case, because they want to stay husband and wife ... TMZ has learned.

Khloe's lawyer Laura Wasser went before a judge Wednesday morning, asking a judge to withdraw the papers they both signed to end their marriage. The file was sitting in a pile waiting to be processed and signed by a judge.

The judge granted Wasser's request and the file is now dead.

Khloe filed for divorce in December 2013, but sat on it for a year and a half because she tried to save her marriage by trying to get Lamar into rehab. She finally gave up this summer.

As we reported, Khloe privately vowed to be by Lamar's side during his recovery, which will take months, and a few days ago they both agreed to give their marriage another chance. They both signed the document Wasser presented to the judge, asking that the divorce case be dismissed."

Yes, she is smart -- smart at getting away with things and blaming others. She has that mastered. Being intelligent is not the only criteria for being the POTUS. She is just so untrustworthy. If she had no clue about what server to use for her e-mails, and dismisses it as a mistake, what other mistakes would she make if she were President just because she "didn't know or understand"?

My gosh, look at all of the scandals she has under her belt. I have no desire to see anyone like that in the White House. I would love to see a woman President, only not that one, and wouldn't vote for her simply because she is a woman. That woman scares me. She appears to be very unstable, and can get rattled at the drop of a hat. As a long-time Democrat, I just may sit out this election! Voters need to do research on where candidates stand on issues, their platform, their problem-solving abilities, how well they do in negotiations, their policies, both domestic and international, and become well informed before they decide that either candidate will be a great President simply because they are members of their favored party or because it is a woman and it's high time we have a woman President.

You know, not all Democrats love Hillary just because she is a Democrat. I think we have come a long way from voting for the party. I have read so many articles and listened to many interviews where Democrats have claimed that they will vote Republican if she is nominated, simply because they just don't trust her to be the leader of the free world. Trust seems to play a very significant role in this election.

I don't know about anyone else, but I don't consider this a one-sided "Republican blog!" :)

Exactly. I think that this is one of the main concerns about this election. If you go back and look at everything in which she has been involved and slithered away from, voters are suspicious about this and they have a right to be. Gone are the days when a person votes straight Democrat or straight Republican because those are their registered parties. Americans have become engaged enough in politics and care about the future of their country to check out the credentials of the candidates and vote accordingly.

I would love to see an honest, qualified, intelligent woman in the race, one who could work wonders in the presidency, one who is respected and admired, one with clean hands, a skilled leader...if there is such a person, and most of all, one who can be trusted.

Why can't Congress be run like a business? Whatever way it is being "run" now certainly isn't working! Let's try another approach!

Hillary has been groomed from the beginning for the candidacy. She is motivated by self-interest and what she can get out of it. Unfortunately, anything else is beyond her scope. One doesn't have an "oops" moment when it comes to e-mails and national security and dismiss it as a mistake. That shows no intelligence, but rather demonstrates negligence...something this country just doesn't need from the President of the United States, especially in the matter of national security.

I think a very important question is who does the POTUS intend to have in his or her cabinet and are they going to listen to their advisors. Like I said, the problem is a candidate who would be really good at this job is probably not going to run. You'd have to be a nut to run for president. It's so expensive to do so, so stressful, so inherently narcissistic. It's a very difficult job that comes with an incredible amount of scrutiny not just on you but your loved ones. You are signing up to be picked apart by the world for the next four years. Who does that but an insane person?

Normal people don't sign up for this. Joe Biden, Colin Powell, Condoleeza Rice, for starters. And that's why we're left with the Trumps and Clintons of the world.

I read the bankruptcy judge was the one who caught Abby Miller's fraud. He was watching TV, saw her on a show, and thought to himself "I bet she got paid for that." Why would a public person think they could hide something like that? Like Sherry Baby said, haven't they learned the lesson from Richard Hatch?

redbird said...

Following his Survivor win, Hatch was charged with tax evasion. He was convicted and served a 51-month sentence in federal prison. Hatch and his attorneys have argued that the prosecution and conviction were flawed because the IRS never completed the investigation of his 2000 and 2001 tax returns and never determined that any particular sum of taxes was due. Hatch served an additional nine months in prison for not amending his 2000 and 2001 tax returns.

A property purchased by Hatch in Sydney, Nova Scotia, following his Survivor win was included in a tax sale during a public auction in 2013. The CBRM tax office indicated that Hatch had not paid the property taxes on the property for a period of more than six years.

Richard Hatch (born April 8, 1961) is an American former reality television contestant. He won the first season of the CBS reality series Survivor. He was a contestant on a subsequent All-Stars season of Survivor, and on one season of Celebrity Apprentice. In 2006, Hatch was convicted of attempting to evade taxes; that resulted in a 51-month prison sentence, despite the IRS never having completed an assessment of the tax years for which he was convicted until years after Hatch was released from prison. Hatch served another nine-month sentence in 2011 for a probation violation, even though experts testified that it was not possible for Hatch to comply with the terms of the probation.[1] TV Guide included him in its 2013 list of "The 60 Nastiest Villains of All Time".

Not shockingly, the hearing is split along party lines, with lots of blatant partisan bloviating on both sides.
The Republicans are throwing fast balls and the Democrats are lobbing the ball right over the center of the plate.

Although the election is over a year away, here we have the democratic front runner and apparent de facto democratic nominee giving testimony regarding her role as Secretary of State during this terrorist attack, and why did she lie about the nature of said terrorist attack, in which 4 Americans were brutally killed?

FTR, I don't think Hillary is in any way a villain here. I think she went with the narrative of a sudden mob uprising in response to some video, because she wanted Obama to be re-elected 2 months later, thereby ensuring her viability for POTUS in 2016.

I think this was a horribly botched cover up and a woman who wants to run our country was in the thick of it.

How it happened matters to the extend that we might learn how to prevent this tragedy from occurring again to Americans who serve overseas in dangerous and unstable regions.
That is, of course, extremely important.
What really is at issue, in the context of the presidential race, is Hillary's actions after the fact.

I will say that despite the vigorous and sometimes in-your-face questioning, Hillary hasn't lost her cool like she did last time.

Simple politics. There was a Republican majority in congress until 2007. The Democrats did control the Senate by one vote until 2002; however, serious questions about Bush didn't really gain traction until after that time. The Republicans weren't going to do anything to hurt a Republican president. By the time Democrats got a majority Bush was already a lame duck and way too much time had passed for that issue to make any difference.

If there had been a Democratic majority heading into the 2004 presidential election I think you would have seen the same type of hearings about the Bush administration.

I do wonder if the twins' 15th birthday was filmed, because at that age, you really want privacy, even if it's a fake party for the cameras.

Yup. I've been watching for years. In the past couple of seasons, I don't believe Tamra has mentioned her kids more than 2 or 3 times, so either the kid is being fed a line by her dad or the whole story is made up.

I don't pretend to know what goes on when her children visit. They are prohibited from filming them, by court order. Here's what I do know: Her ex, Simon, was abusive to Tamra, on camera. I can only imagine what he was like off camera. Just like Kate. I can only imagine the alienation that's going on.

If that kid wants something to bitch about, she should watch how the Guidice kids from RHNJ are being filmed. They're crying for their mother, who phones from prison and the cameras are right there to catch the action.

Or perhaps Sydney should watch the show her mother is on. One of the wives discusses her husband's infidelity in front of her 3 very young daughters and makes those kids a party to what are clearly adult issues.

I've seen the way Tamra treats her older son. She absolutely adores him. I think it's possible that her daughter is a rebellious teen who doesn't get her own way with her mother. Tamra wrote the book on being bad-ass at a very young age and likely knows every trick her daughter tries to pull.

For the most part, the kids on the RH shows are background noise. Those women are wacky enough to fill an hour every week.

(My new favourite? Ladies of London What a hoot!)

Thinking out loud. Why is Hillary being bombarded by Republicans and George Bush was given a pass on the September 11 attack on the twin towers?

**********************

Bush acknowledged the attacks, didn't brush the disaster under the rugs, didn't try to excuse them by saying, oops...I didn't know any better, and he wasn't constantly changing his story about what happened. That, in addition to the politics (as Mike said) had much to do with it. Hillary is bombarded by Republicans because of the deception she has created in so many issues. She is not only being called out by Republicans, however. Democrats have also taken swipes at her.

I agree with the poster who said that Kate is so much like Hillary. Kate keeps changing her stories, can't remember what she has said about what, and she is like Teflon...somehow bad decisions and actions just slide off her without any consequences. I just don't't understand how some voters an ignore Hillary's lies and give her a pass on this. The last thing this country needs is a President with a shady past who cannot be trusted. Her track record of honesty isn't that great.

"FTR, I don't think Hillary is in any way a villain here. I think she went with the narrative of a sudden mob uprising in response to some video, because she wanted Obama to be re-elected 2 months later, thereby ensuring her viability for POTUS in 2016.

I think this was a horribly botched cover up and a woman who wants to run our country was in the thick of it."

*****************

Exactly, and it scares me, too, that if she wins the nomination she could possibly be the next President. I just cannot give her a pass on her coverups, lies, and the fact that Hillary cares only about Hillary. From the time Bill was elected she has her eye on the Presidency and by darn, nothing will stop her from trying to grab it. If one carefully studies what went down in the Whitewater scandal, I really don't understand how her part in that can be ignored and still get a vote to lead our country. It was not an uncomplicated issue, but really worth taking a look at before making a decision to cast a vote for her.

The great thing about our country is the freedom to choose our elected officials, and if Hillary is the one who many think is the best choice, then Hillary it will be.

Yep, the problem is some of them *were* being petty. I saw bits and pieces of it throughout the day live streaming it, and when they're asking questions like why are there more emails this year as opposed to that year, it gets really freaking silly. Some of the questions I liked, some I just shook my head.

And that's the problem. I think there are real serious questions that need to be answered and I think she needs to explain herself and most of all be accountable. But she is going to come out on top every time if the people asking the questions have an agenda.

Everyone is so afraid to just let someone sink on their own. It's like it's human nature to try to kinda sorta "accidentally" push them under. Except when you do THAT, it becomes this thing called manslaughter. Everybody saw it, no matter what side of the aisle you're on.

Neither one wins any parenting award in my books, but I saw Simon and his creepy, abusive ways. Alienation, power and control are right up his alley. The same way our radar went off with sKate's abuse, with Simon I heard the warning bells.

Realitytvkids.com ~ Administrator said...

Simon is without a doubt a DV type personality. I watched the first couple seasons before I lost interest. I don't see what that has to do though with Tamara offending her daughter. If the suggestion is he is alienating this much older child to hate Tamara for no reason, I don't see it. I don't see the proof of that. Tamara is a nut herself, a child has plenty reason to take issue with her without dad helping it along.

And love or hate Simon, he got the kids off the show. I don't care if his motivation was just to hurt Tamara, I'm glad he got them off.

Again, what exactly did Tamara say that upset her child? That's an extremely important piece of information no one seems to know.

Yeah, according to the latest unauthorized book she has stormed into Obama's office F-ing this and F-ing that. Whoa there. In contrast I think he is known for being calm, perhaps even too calm, and I almost feel sorry for him having to put up with that nonsense. I don't care how much people disagree, yelling and ranting solves nothing. If anyone has seen Project Greenlight yet, I don't really like the producer Effie. I think she's passive aggressive, self absorbed and takes things much too personal. But she has this thing she does when she feels a situation getting heated. She stays calm and says "with love in my heart, I feel such and such way about you or this situation". It's funny but it's a good technique to stay calm when you feel your temper wanting to explode. Hillary needs to feel the love in her heart!

Anyway, that latest report is entirely consistent with the secret service agent's book that came out decades ago. She was a nightmare.

I have real relatives and friends who have adorable children, fun baby showers, talented kids who play sports and play instruments and perform with school groups. It is still incomprehensible to me that people would be so obsessed with strangers children that they watch a reality show that is so boring and so painfully cobbled together as tfmjg and company.
I still love watching Hoarders, etc because it motivates me to clean up and declutter with a vengeance! My dear family gave me Christmas tree ornament autographed by Matt Paxton, it's the special Golden Poop ornament! Commemorates some of the most disgusting houses he has done extreme cleaning on.
The Amazing Race should be on Sunday! It's just wrong to have it on Friday! So I watch my recording on Sunday.
New doctor Who, growing on you or still just not quite right?
Yes, this American person is sick of hearing about Hillary Clinton s damn emails!

I have my doubts they filmed on school days. Reality TV has gotten too scripted. Viewers don't care about seeing the actors doing normal activities. There has to be some conflict and that conflict needs to be able to stretch out over multiple episodes to keep the viewers tuning in from one week to the next.

I'm betting the plot was/is about Kate bringing in a new father figure. That would be perfect for just weekend filming as Kate started doing things with the potential daddy and the kids together. Nobody gives a crap about kids arguing over homework or what to watch on TV. No school missed, but all the free time would be spent filming. Those poor kids haven't had a break all year.

I hope the rumors about Jeff backing out are true. Even under the best of circumstances bringing a new person into the family relationship is stressful. When it is all fake and the "adults" deliberately do things to upset the kids for good TV it makes it worse. Kate understands it is all scripted BS, but those poor kids' developing minds cant make that distinction. It takes a sorry excuse for a human being to manipulate the emotions of a child for personal benefit and it is ten times worse when that child is your own.

I wonder if they convinced Jeff to come back if the part was rewritten or if they got some other schmuck to play the part of the new daddy.

Steve has been playing daddy for years. Maybe it's him and not Jeff. We'll find out soon enough when TLC starts their promo. Also, there is ALWAYS something that makes it on Radar as part of the publicity.

Looks like Kate gets her wish with continuous filming. Shocked the kids are going along with it. I really thought a few would back out. She must really have a stranglehold on them. Kate must be as high as a kite with the potential of filming her eight kids FOREVER. She's been following the Kardashians but there is nothing exotic or outrageous about her or the kids.

Watched Our Little Family....I can't even watch that show. Jacob Roloff was right about Jack being fed lines, but even when he is just being himself, that little boy is one of the most annoying children I have ever seen. Kids are gonna hate him.
