Season 4 begins with the end of the school year and a trip to Florida. Also: Kate cooks a traditional Korean barbecue dinner and discusses the kids' heritage.
I'm sure the ratings will sore for the date episode. I wonder if that will be the big Season Finale ? BTW I see they are showing Plus More: Schools Out (with added scenes it says) at 7:00 on Sunday, followed by 90 minutes of the Duggar Girls.

Yes, he should have not been made to sit through the couch interview to hear his brothers talk about the adventure room. Can't you remember as a kid others talking about something, like a party, that you were not invited to?
I think Robert is really hoping Kate tries to sue him again. The publicity, on top of her show's poor ratings, would destroy her. And TLC wouldn't encourage legal action. The fact that they knowingly embraced a child abuser right after the Duggar molestation scandal would be devastating for them. They would be forever linked to child abuse of every kind. It will be interesting to see what they do (if anything) about it all.
Isn't it amazing that we read those journals years ago when something should have been done to save those innocent babies. This, may finally hang her. She admitted it was true, no turning back. OK I'm only halfway through this snoozefest but here are a few thoughts:
If she is going to pretend to be buying her kids luggage, she may want to try not waving two gift cards around with her talons during the whole scene.
She goes on and on and on justifying their beach trip. She even says "I know this seems redundant (or something)" but we LOOVVEE the beach. We would be happy at ANY beach. HEllo, the beach is a few hours drive away. Obviously she knew people were going to say Oh, another beach vacation, but she really really wanted it (for free). Otherwise why keep selling it? Lots of people take an annual beach vacation (that they pay for themselves)
She knew there may be reports about how sh ort of a time they spent on the beach and said how hungry the kids were from fighting the waves. Now, we try and get a house right on the beach in OBX but if we do go to the shore and stay a few blocks down, we are there for the day. The lunch and snacks come with us. Lunch, naps, reading on the beach. In fact, one girl said she wanted to take a nap and was told "later." I would have said, "sounds great, there's the blanket". Oh, but I don't have to follow a schedule on vacation

Well there was no hiding the fact that Collin didn't participate in the escape challenge because when the took the we're winners photo at the end he was noticably missing. Also, at the beginning of the challenge when Mady was talking to Kate she quite clearly said "you are stupid".

I watched bits and pieces of the show (thanks for the link) and must say that her complexion is terrible and without full hair and make-up she really looks older than 40. Finally, I was born and raised in a little beach town on the Jersey shore and I don't know any 11 year olds that brought shovels and buckets to the beach. Boogie boards, yes, all that other junk that TFW schlepped with them, no. That must have just been for the cameras. My heart goes out to Collin.

The Duggars and others like them are always going to be able to scrounge up a religious base. It's like they support these people more as a matter of principle than really knowing or caring much about the individuals. As in we can never let the religious right be attacked no matter what the reason so we support them as a matter of course.

She wanted her mother to look like a fool on the Today show, she is always making snide remarks to her to make it evident that Kate is a liar...ex: TFW goes awn and awn about how they ALL choose to go to the beach because they all love it and SHE of course will always choose the beach (translated: I told them we are going to the beach)....well...the segment on the beach is Mady on a blanket saying she hates the beach, the sand and pretty much anything having to do with the beach....suck it Kate . Mady has your number and I believe she is ready to exploit you. 3 years to 18. Watch out!
As far as Exit Game causing anxiety I don't think it would unless you have a very serious claustrophobia problem, or your mother is Kate. At least the one I did had a panic button in every single room within easy reach. If you ever had an emergency or felt like you were panicking you could push that and they'll come in right away and let you out.
I do think they said it resets the game and you have to quit if you push it, but at least getting out was always an easy option.
In any case, knowing you could get out at any time eliminated any fears for me and I could focus on the puzzles.

I tend to agree. I think she's sharp in terms of playing off Kate, always has been. And I think a LOT of kids would be like this without proper parenting.
The problem is when a child starts acting this way a parent has to nip it in the bud right away. I assume most good parents do, and thus, such behaviors never would escalate to this level and you would never see the snide remarks and behavior a child is truly capable of, but Kate clearly hasn't.
I have heard it said, many people believe, that children are actually wired to be quite nasty and selfish and that they must be taught how not to behave that way. We have this imagine of children being little precious moments dolls, born that way, but many people believe that's really not true without really good parenting first.

Then I searched for Kateplusmy8+zorro. More tweets there. I found the original tweet from Nov 25, 2013 where Kate "announced" Zorro. There was a link to a post her website. I eventually found that post about Zorro, and in it she said he was black-capped.
So as far as I know, the green-cheeked idea came from fans asking and Kate being to lazy to tweet "no, he's black-capped". Actually, once, on Feb 21, 2015 she did set a fan straight and say he is black-capped.

Grrr, TFW is such a HORRIBLE mother. I'll bet she's never given a thought to how C must feel in those situations and if she has, I'll bet she doesn't think it's hurtful. Does C, or any of the children, ever get a soft and reassuring hug and words of encouragement from her? I doubt it. I feel so badly for any child who hasn't experienced the, oh-so-special, soft embrace and reassuring words of their mom. Noooo, they get shrill commands and demands to 'perform'.
Just checking in on the veranda... I haven't watched the special. After reading the comments section on Radar, it looks like TFW is done. It feels awesome to put a fork in that lying shrew. Ratings tank. Lots of TV viewers watch TLC, so it makes me wonder how many were legitimate... or if they were just tuned into that channel out of habit. Happy dancing!

redbird, custody doesn't work that way. The filings take time in court, unless the child is in imminent danger living with the custodial parent, and then emergency petitions can be filed.
I think TLC is waiting to see how the ratings/reviews are for the dating episode before deciding TFW's fate. TLC may want to play up the dating angle, hence all the press about the fake relationship of TFW and the millionaire. People will probably tune in to this episode out of curiosity and then wish that they could get that lost hour of their life back.

Mady was a deer in headlights, unable to perform for Kate. The thrust of the interview was to relay the same message as the People article: Jon is a horrible father. Kate and Savannah went to Mady immediately, and she could not do her mother's bidding. Mady was trying, and after a minute, got on board with the rehearsed message. Look very carefully when Savannah asks Mady "Do people have the wrong impression?". Mady kicks it into gear and begins with (the rehearsed response of) "Well....I wouldn't say wrong..." And watch Kate MOUTHING those very same words, as her face lights up and she begins to nod. Ah, Mady is finally back on track with the message...
Again, I have to watch the footage of the escape room, but what I saw was Mady positively frustrated with Kate taking over, bullying, yes BULLYING. Kate was yelling, freaking and GRABBING like a child. It became all about her. I get the pressure of these games, but, it's a f*cking game. The room isn't going to explode if you don't make it out. It's. A. F*cking. Game. The adult in the room should comport themselves, and she was, yet again, a hot mess. It's rubbing off in the most awful way on most of her girls. There's not a one of them that's likable or endearing.
Actually, I don't believe her ratings will go up with the date. Since there has been silence from Kate or the tabs since that episode was taped, it's clear the date was a bust (pun intended). She simply is not interested in a real relationship and even her fans must realize this on some level. Really, she has it good already because she has Steve for support and she earns her own living. Anyone with an ounce of common sense and has watched her through the years has figured out the loneliness card is BS. I don't think watching her roll her eyes at her date or try to be funny will make people tune in. People have better things to watch or do. Almost every day the news has something about a child being hurt or killed through abuse of a parent or relative. What a nut.

I'm sorry to say many parents are exactly that cold hearted and much, much worse.
I firmly believe Kate has a personality disorder, and is unable to relate to her children as a normal parent would. The result has been both physical and emotional abuse of various levels throughout their lives, as well as ongoing dysfunction in general. I don't need her journal to tell me so, although I believe the journal is hers as her lawsuit pretty much acknowledged it was. I see in the episodes themselves her behavior, journal or no journal.

The girls...obnoxious. The boys are so cute together. But at that house they're treated like they don't even exist. It's all about the women.
I noticed on one of the couch interviews how two of the girls looked alert and happy, but the third girl sat apart from the other two, rolling her head back, no expression on her face. It was like she was gonna pass out, or fall sound asleep. Nobody was home there.
I don't think the dating thing is going to save the show. People might tune in for one dating episode out of curiosity, but then it gets old. Are they going to film her on a different date every show? Nobody's going to watch that.
I just saw the preview for next week's episode. Kids throwing up and miserable, Kate saying, "This is bad". That was about it. It looked like the most miserable hour of television ever.
The kids have been out on boats before. They were seasick the first time, and the second, if I recall correctly, they wore seasickness bracelets and were fine. So both Kate and TLC knew these kids get seasick, they knew what to do to prevent it--this was deliberate. This was planned filming, so they deliberately neglected to get either the bracelets (which they knew worked for these kids) or Dramamine for the kids. That is abuse. They were hoping for another "Vomit-fest, Gosselin-style", and they got it. They deliberately made the kids suffer. That is unconscionable.
I remember an early episode when TFW was essentially psychoanalyzing M for the public's benefit. She said something like, "Never give up on M," and that she needed excessive amounts of approval. Such an intimate thing to share with millions of strangers.
I guess if Robert isn't afraid of being sued, neither is Radar. December 11, 2015 at 7:24 AM ****** I'm glad Radar chose to highlight these direct words from Kate. Folks, she looked us all in the eye and LIED. Flat. Out. Lied. She defiantly and proudly said over and over that the show is not scripted, nor rehearsed. It's the realest reality show out there and the kids are just running in and out of frame. In reality (real reality where the rest of us live), scenes were rehearsed AND scripted (what kids spontaneously say "On this episode of J+K+8"?), scenes were outright faked (Hello? Christmas?), kids are fed lines to say, etc. Of course, the biggest lie is the "good bra".
Tucker's Mom (#84), remember this quote from TFW about the show? "What you see is what you get!" Methinks she was protesting too much with her insistence about the "realest reality," and using "awnestly" in every other sentence.

Deep sea fishing is the most challenging with regards to sea sickness. I remember watching the kids in Maine and that type of boat ride is nothing compared to going way out to sea and losing the shoreline. When we went deep sea fishing in Mexico, I wore Sea Bands and took Gin Gins to suck on if needed. I did need one, but we were 12 miles out and rocking and rolling! I LOVE it! Some people get deathly ill such that they couldn't even think about getting on any boat. Not even a cruise ship. Kate's kids need Dramamine or Bonnine. I don't think just bands will do it for them.

No, I don't think so, at least not anymore. He has been vocal about seeing his dad, even saying nothing tops Dad, when talking about shopping during the room makeover. I think he adores his Dad, and would definitely feel comfortable speaking up to him. He is much more verbal now. I get a sense Kate also realizes Joel is one of the easy ones to handle.
Winsomeone, the exact same thought occurred to me. Does he sleep with his brothers in the basement? Why would she separate him out with the FL sleeping arrangements?
Frankly, I hope there are some legal proceedings going on we know nothing about regarding Collin. She is unfit to raise a child with a disability. She has a history of abuse towards him. And it was total damage control to bring up his special needs on TV last year because any sharp eyed viewer could see how zoned out he is. Certainly the environment of that household and filming cannot be helping him in any way. IMO, Jon should be raising that child because then he would be getting the individual attention he needs, would not be forced to film and is probably medicated to do so, and he would have a calm parent and a calm environment. Just how long does Kate and TLC a think they can get away with this?
And the upcoming vomit fest? Totally deliberate. What parent does this? You absolutely know your kids get seasick, so either you don't MAKE them board a boat or you make sure they're prepared with the proper medication or whatever else you know works. This episode will not play well for her.
The other good news is that tabloids are repeating what Radar is publishing. I say, keep chipping away. This just seems different this time with the re-release. Whoever advised Kate to copyright her journal gave her bad advice. I hope Robert releases new information.
Producers have promised a glimpse into Kate's dating life in upcoming episodes, but if that doesn't draw in viewers, Gosselin may suffer the embarrassment of a midseason cancelation.
Oh, that would be amazing. I think if TLC cancelled mid-season, that show would be done and the kids would be finally able to lead private lives! I'm not holding my breath.

The lie that I can't believe has been swept under the rug is that these children were engineered by their mother, who is NOT infertile and who DID order fertility drugs from Canada. This same mother claimed that selective reduction was not an option, yet allegedly already had had an abortion. I thought that people would freak out knowing that Kate's hardship was all manufactured.
There is no way TLC will do a mid-way cancellation. They have already done the filming, editing, scheduling, and promotion. Most importantly they have likely already paid Kate. The ratings may drop to 500,000 but that will still be enough to justify showing what has already been done. Kate may not bring in what she used to but she was still the top TLC program of the night. If anything it should make TLC realize their formula of unusual families is no longer working and they need to take a new direction overall.
The best that can be hoped for is for TLC to simply not schedule anymore specials. There won't be any announcement because I do think TLC will do updates on the family over the next few years. The public won't notice anything until either someone tweets about seeing Kate and the kids filming around spring break or we get through the summer without any new specials. Kate will eventually go out with a whimper rather than with a bang.

I watched the Korean Dinner episode of J+K+8 on Youtube. Kate's looked like dog food in comparison. Jon also expounded on his heritage, which is Welsh, French and Korean. Not Hawaiian and not a mutt. The only thing that matters to Kate is that her kids' looks are somewhat unique, and that's the part that has helped sell the brand. White Barbie mom, Korean kids.
Jon said the Bulgogi recipe is his grandmom's and he's got it written down, so why Kate doesn't ask for it is beyond me. The kids love it so much. Jon kicked ass in the kitchen and was so at ease. No big deal. He cranked out French toast and bacon for breakfast, then cranked out bulgogi with Hawaiian rice like a pro.
What does it matter if TLC cancels this due to low ratings? It's deja vu all over again. They did it once before and brought it back. Cancellation means nothing!
If the fans think that these tabloid stories are just malicious rumors, then why don't they ask Kate if the jounrals are hers, if those are her words, if she did what she claims she did and if everything written there is true? Just set the record straight! Milo has asked her in the past about certain things that were being reported, and at times Kate chirped in and tweeted not to believe everything (being dumped by Jeff).
I stopped believe the "just one more" baloney years ago. Kate wanted multiple multiples, period. She wasn't going to stop until she got them. No doctor would offer to have Kate go through IUI when she just successfully had twins. She begged and then insisted, and even changed doctors. Why would you go to another doctor? Distance? C'mon. Her first doctor successfully got her pregnant with twins, but her refused to do IUI again because HE KNEW THE GREAT RISK. He offered IVF, but that would have given Kate JUST ONE MORE, and that wasn't Kate's agenda.
I agree, MikeB. TLC will air what they have filmed regardless of the ratings. The question is, will they give her another "season" next year? I think yearly one hour catchup specials, for those who are interested, is quite enough. TLC keeps bringing back old families rather than moving on with fresh faces and new concepts.

I don't know if the Canada thing is true because Robert has never produced the packaging or an explanation as to why someone would hang on to incriminating evidence, but I have read many infertility blogs. The consensus is that she did not want the doctor who delivered the twins because he wanted to do in vitro fertilization since she just wanted "one" more. She shopped around until she found a doc who would give her multiples. She claimed it was because the new doctor was closer.

***** I think that was a red herring. You don't get approved to get a Korean baby without having to do a host of things, over a period of time. Kate acted like they almost got a baby, then backed out. It doesn't smell right. I think she gave lip service to Jon, then begged for him to agree to get pregnant again.
I hope something is being done for Collin to get him out of Kate's grasp. He has always been singled out. Instead of weekends with his Dad he was working for the farmer next door, when the kids were selecting clothes and he wanted a dress shirt and tie, she made fun of him, with the gift he bought her in Mexico she made fun of him. This time in Florida he was separated from the boys' sleeping arrangement, he was excluded from activities and off by himself playing in the water. That child does not have a chance with her around him. Leah said when she is old enough she is moving out. That house cannot be a home for those kids. Sad.
There was an article People magazine before the divorce that they wanted to adopt a Korean baby. I think TLC lawyers were perhaps working on it. They got their passports, so I'm guessing the plan was in the works to have the whole family fly there and return with a baby. TLC would have taken care of all the legalities just like they helped the Little People.

Has anyone seen the viral picture of a Christmas tree that has 300 presents under it? The mom started in January and got bargains, deals and did it for 2,300 dollars. It is her, her husband, his mother and 3 children.
It looks like an episode of Christmas Hoarders. The tree is in the corner and the presents are half way up the tree all around the tree.
Just say the 3 adults get 10 presents each. That leaves 270. Divided by 3 children, that is 90 presents each.

You know, the theory that She used HCG for weight loss makes a lot of sense. As others have said, why would she keep the box through several moves? Maybe Robert found a recent prescription box that she was using for weight loss. I just refuse to give her that much credit in executing a master plan for HOM. Exactly. You also have to think about the kids in this whole mess. What good would it do for him to take this to national television and rip apart their mother? Yes, I know she put it all out there. Yes, she's a nasty person. However, tearing her down on the networks would only cast him as a hateful person and may, in fact, only serve to have an undesired effect presenting him as a crazy hater off on a tirade. That will not help the kids in any way, shape or form.

Update on how many presents the children will get.
This morning on the Today Show they said each of her children got 75 gifts a piece.
So out of 300, 3 children get 225 presents. That leaves 25 each for the grandmother, mother and father out of 75 left for a grand total of 300.
That would be 50 children that would have a nicer Christmas.
Christmas Coalition (with public donations to CPS) in my area tries to give each child 5 presents. Depends on the donations. They still need a couple of hundred more sponsors to fill the need.
I know someone who has done Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes for the last couple of years. This year, she told me that instead of OCC this year, she found a young girl to sponsor and she bought her entire Christmas! What a lucky little girl!
Sorry, I can't make them clickable on my laptop, but the recipes are the same and were posted right after Jon made it on the show. It is very similar to a bulgogi recipe I got from a Korean friend, which is very good.

OK I'm only halfway through this snoozefest but here are a few thoughts:
If she is going to pretend to be buying her kids luggage, she may want to try not waving two gift cards around with her talons during the whole scene.
She goes on and on and on justifying their beach trip. She even says "I know this seems redundant (or something)" but we LOOVVEE the beach. We would be happy at ANY beach. HEllo, the beach is a few hours drive away. Obviously she knew people were going to say Oh, another beach vacation, but she really really wanted it (for free). Otherwise why keep selling it? Lots of people take an annual beach vacation (that they pay for themselves)
She knew there may be reports about how sh ort of a time they spent on the beach and said how hungry the kids were from fighting the waves. Now, we try and get a house right on the beach in OBX but if we do go to the shore and stay a few blocks down, we are there for the day. The lunch and snacks come with us. Lunch, naps, reading on the beach. In fact, one girl said she wanted to take a nap and was told "later." I would have said, "sounds great, there's the blanket". Oh, but I don't have to follow a schedule on vacation

Is Em referring to Shoka as a Golden? Shoka is a shepherd not a Golden retriever.
The Duggars and others like them are always going to be able to scrounge up a religious base. It's like they support these people more as a matter of principle than really knowing or caring much about the individuals. As in we can never let the religious right be attacked no matter what the reason so we support them as a matter of course.
Kate probably was ill advised to drop the religious angle. She would have been able to maintain more support.

I think Mady is passive aggressive. She wanted her mother to look like a fool on the Today show, she is always making snide remarks to her to make it evident that Kate is a liar...ex: TFW goes awn and awn about how they ALL choose to go to the beach because they all love it and SHE of course will always choose the beach (translated: I told them we are going to the beach)....well...the segment on the beach is Mady on a blanket saying she hates the beach, the sand and pretty much anything having to do with the beach....suck it Kate . Mady has your number and I believe she is ready to exploit you. 3 years to 18. Watch out!
As far as Exit Game causing anxiety I don't think it would unless you have a very serious claustrophobia problem, or your mother is Kate. At least the one I did had a panic button in every single room within easy reach. If you ever had an emergency or felt like you were panicking you could push that and they'll come in right away and let you out.
I do think they said it resets the game and you have to quit if you push it, but at least getting out was always an easy option.
In any case, knowing you could get out at any time eliminated any fears for me and I could focus on the puzzles.

I tend to agree. I think she's sharp in terms of playing off Kate, always has been. And I think a LOT of kids would be like this without proper parenting.
The problem is when a child starts acting this way a parent has to nip it in the bud right away. I assume most good parents do, and thus, such behaviors never would escalate to this level and you would never see the snide remarks and behavior a child is truly capable of, but Kate clearly hasn't.
I have heard it said, many people believe, that children are actually wired to be quite nasty and selfish and that they must be taught how not to behave that way. We have this imagine of children being little precious moments dolls, born that way, but many people believe that's really not true without really good parenting first.

I looked on twitter for Kateplusmy8+conure. Not a lot of tweets. Kate never said he was a green-cheek; some tweeters said they had green-creeks and asked if Zorro was one, but she didn't answer them one way or the other.
Then I searched for Kateplusmy8+zorro. More tweets there. I found the original tweet from Nov 25, 2013 where Kate "announced" Zorro. There was a link to a post her website. I eventually found that post about Zorro, and in it she said he was black-capped.
So as far as I know, the green-cheeked idea came from fans asking and Kate being to lazy to tweet "no, he's black-capped". Actually, once, on Feb 21, 2015 she did set a fan straight and say he is black-capped.

Grrr, TFW is such a HORRIBLE mother. I'll bet she's never given a thought to how C must feel in those situations and if she has, I'll bet she doesn't think it's hurtful. Does C, or any of the children, ever get a soft and reassuring hug and words of encouragement from her? I doubt it. I feel so badly for any child who hasn't experienced the, oh-so-special, soft embrace and reassuring words of their mom. Noooo, they get shrill commands and demands to 'perform'.
Just checking in on the veranda... I haven't watched the special. After reading the comments section on Radar, it looks like TFW is done. It feels awesome to put a fork in that lying shrew. redbird, custody doesn't work that way. The filings take time in court, unless the child is in imminent danger living with the custodial parent, and then emergency petitions can be filed.
I think TLC is waiting to see how the ratings/reviews are for the dating episode before deciding TFW's fate. TLC may want to play up the dating angle, hence all the press about the fake relationship of TFW and the millionaire. People will probably tune in to this episode out of curiosity and then wish that they could get that lost hour of their life back.

My take is a bit different ;-)
Cara looked beyond help, cowering in front of the blinking red light. Mady was a deer in headlights, unable to perform for Kate.
The thrust of the interview was to relay the same message as the People article: Jon is a horrible father.
Kate and Savannah went to Mady immediately, and she could not do her mother's bidding.
Mady was trying, and after a minute, got on board with the rehearsed message.
Look very carefully when Savannah asks Mady "Do people have the wrong impression?". Mady kicks it into gear and begins with (the rehearsed response of) "Well....I wouldn't say wrong..."
And watch Kate MOUTHING those very same words, as her face lights up and she begins to nod.
Ah, Mady is finally back on track with the message...
Again, I have to watch the footage of the escape room, but what I saw was Mady positively frustrated with Kate taking over, bullying, yes BULLYING.
Kate was yelling, freaking and GRABBING like a child. It became all about her.
I get the pressure of these games, but, it's a f*cking game. The room isn't going to explode if you don't make it out.

The adult in the room should comport themselves, and she was, yet again, a hot mess.

Actually, I don't believe her ratings will go up with the date. Since there has been silence from Kate or the tabs since that episode was taped, it's clear the date was a bust (pun intended). Anyone with an ounce of common sense and has watched her through the years has figured out the loneliness card is BS. I don't think watching her roll her eyes at her date or try to be funny will make people tune in. People have better things to watch or do. She was horrible to Jon, who was and is a great dad, and that has left a bad taste in viewers mouths.

Almost every day the news has something about a child being hurt or killed through abuse of a parent or relative. What a nut.
I wonder if the viewers will notice something is not up to par with Collin. I feel so badly for that child. I hope somebody steps in to help him and not just medicate him. He is the most sensitive of them all. No child deserves the treatment he gets from his own mother and siblings.

I'm sorry to say many parents are exactly that cold hearted and much, much worse.
I firmly believe Kate has a personality disorder, and is unable to relate to her children as a normal parent would. The result has been both physical and emotional abuse of various levels throughout their lives, as well as ongoing dysfunction in general. I don't need her journal to tell me so, although I believe the journal is hers as her lawsuit pretty much acknowledged it was. I see in the episodes themselves her behavior, journal or no journal.
I would imagine it wasn't the first time Kate has heard that. Why should this time be any different? It just rolls off her shoulders.

I noticed on one of the couch interviews how two of the girls looked alert and happy, but the third girl sat apart from the other two, rolling her head back, no expression on her face. It was like she was gonna pass out, or fall sound asleep. Nobody was home there.
I don't think the dating thing is going to save the show. People might tune in for one dating episode out of curiosity, but then it gets old. Are they going to film her on a different date every show? Nobody's going to watch that.

I just saw the preview for next week's episode. Kids throwing up and miserable, Kate saying, "This is bad". That was about it. It looked like the most miserable hour of television ever.
The kids have been out on boats before. They were seasick the first time, and the second, if I recall correctly, they wore seasickness bracelets and were fine. So both Kate and TLC knew these kids get seasick, they knew what to do to prevent it--this was deliberate. This was planned filming, so they deliberately neglected to get either the bracelets (which they knew worked for these kids) or Dramamine for the kids. That is abuse. They were hoping for another "Vomit-fest, Gosselin-style", and they got it. They deliberately made the kids suffer. That is unconscionable.

Folks, she looked us all in the eye and LIED. Flat. Out. Lied.
She defiantly and proudly said over and over that the show is not scripted, nor rehearsed. It's the realest reality show out there and the kids are just running in and out of frame.
In reality (real reality where the rest of us live), scenes were rehearsed AND scripted (what kids spontaneously say "On this episode of J+K+8"?), scenes were outright faked (Hello? Christmas?), kids are fed lines to say, etc.
Of course, the biggest lie is the "good bra".

Deep sea fishing is the most challenging with regards to sea sickness. I remember watching the kids in Maine and that type of boat ride is nothing compared to going way out to sea and losing the shoreline.
When we went deep sea fishing in Mexico, I wore Sea Bands and took Gin Gins to suck on if needed. I did need one, but we were 12 miles out and rocking and rolling!
I LOVE it!
Some people get deathly ill such that they couldn't even think about getting on any boat. Not even a cruise ship.

Frankly, I hope there are some legal proceedings going on we know nothing about regarding Collin. She is unfit to raise a child with a disability. She has a history of abuse towards him. And it was total damage control to bring up his special needs on TV last year because any sharp eyed viewer could see how zoned out he is. Certainly the environment of that household and filming cannot be helping him in any way. IMO, Jon should be raising that child because then he would be getting the individual attention he needs, would not be forced to film and is probably medicated to do so, and he would have a calm parent and a calm environment. Just how long does Kate and TLC a think they can get away with this?
And the upcoming vomit fest? Totally deliberate. What parent does this? You absolutely know your kids get seasick, so either you don't MAKE them board a boat or you make sure they're prepared with the proper medication or whatever else you know works. This episode will not play well for her.
The other good news is that tabloids are repeating what Radar is publishing. I say, keep chipping away. This just seems different this time with the re-release. Whoever advised Kate to copyright her journal gave her bad advice. I hope Robert releases new information.

The lie that I can't believe has been swept under the rug is that these children were engineered by their mother, who is NOT infertile and who DID order fertility drugs from Canada. This same mother claimed that selective reduction was not an option, yet allegedly already had had an abortion. I thought that people would freak out knowing that Kate's hardship was all manufactured.
There is no way TLC will do a mid-way cancellation. They have already done the filming, editing, scheduling, and promotion. Most importantly they have likely already paid Kate. The ratings may drop to 500,000 but that will still be enough to justify showing what has already been done. Kate may not bring in what she used to but she was still the top TLC program of the night. If anything it should make TLC realize their formula of unusual families is no longer working and they need to take a new direction overall.
The best that can be hoped for is for TLC to simply not schedule anymore specials. There won't be any announcement because I do think TLC will do updates on the family over the next few years. The public won't notice anything until either someone tweets about seeing Kate and the kids filming around spring break or we get through the summer without any new specials. Kate will eventually go out with a whimper rather than with a bang.

I watched the Korean Dinner episode of J+K+8 on Youtube. Kate's looked like dog food in comparison. Jon also expounded on his heritage, which is Welsh, French and Korean. Not Hawaiian and not a mutt.
The only thing that matters to Kate is that her kids' looks are somewhat unique, and that's the part that has helped sell the brand.

No doctor would offer to have Kate go through IUI when she just successfully had twins. She begged and then insisted, and even changed doctors.

The only way TLC will pull the filmed episodes is if there is enough public outrage over her mistreatment of her children, and maybe the fact that one of the boys looks like a zombie.
I don't know if the Canada thing is true because Robert has never produced the packaging or an explanation as to why someone would hang on to incriminating evidence, but I have read many infertility blogs. The consensus is that she did not want the doctor who delivered the twins because he wanted to do in vitro fertilization since she just wanted "one" more. She shopped around until she found a doc who would give her multiples. She claimed it was because the new doctor was closer.
The fans say everyone makes mistakes and the book is old news. Deflect!! Kate is perfect! The kids are perfect! Blame Jon!

I think that was a red herring. You don't get approved to get a Korean baby without having to do a host of things, over a period of time.
Kate acted like they almost got a baby, then backed out. It doesn't smell right.
I think she gave lip service to Jon, then begged for him to agree to get pregnant again.
I hope something is being done for Collin to get him out of Kate's grasp. He has always been singled out. Instead of weekends with his Dad he was working for the farmer next door, when the kids were selecting clothes and he wanted a dress shirt and tie, she made fun of him, with the gift he bought her in Mexico she made fun of him. This time in Florida he was separated from the boys' sleeping arrangement, he was excluded from activities and off by himself playing in the water. That child does not have a chance with her around him. Leah said when she is old enough she is moving out. That house cannot be a home for those kids. Sad.
There was an article People magazine before the divorce that they wanted to adopt a Korean baby. I think TLC lawyers were perhaps working on it. They got their passports, so I'm guessing the plan was in the works to have the whole family fly there and return with a baby. TLC would have taken care of all the legalities just like they helped the Little People.

Has anyone seen the viral picture of a Christmas tree that has 300 presents under it? The mom started in January and got bargains, deals and did it for 2,300 dollars. It is her, her husband, his mother and 3 children.
It looks like an episode of Christmas Hoarders. The tree is in the corner and the presents are half way up the tree all around the tree.
Just say the 3 adults get 10 presents each. That leaves 270. Divided by 3 children, that is 90 presents each.
I'm just confused about the Hcg. Did Robert Hoffman find the box in the trash at the McMansion house? Or the Etown home? Why would she hold on to something for so long? Unless... she was using it for weight loss?

You know, the theory that She used HCG for weight loss makes a lot of sense. As others have said, why would she keep the box through several moves? Maybe Robert found a recent prescription box that she was using for weight loss. I just refuse to give her that much credit in executing a master plan for HOM. I also don't believe that her second doctor collude with her, or she used her nursing background to engineer. I do believe that she may have not have told Jon that she was told to avoid intercourse. That seems right up her alley.

I think that a lot of people think that this book is a first-time release and that is going to help boost sales. The media has bitten into this piece of meat and is not going to give it up.

I can't think of any possible way for Robert to make a media tour of his book without having to specifically point out that Kate Gosselin lied, deceived, abused, whined, snubbed and plotted. And that he's got the tangible proof in his storage locker. That's not the type of material Today, GMA or CBS This Morning are there to discuss. Exactly. You also have to think about the kids in this whole mess. What good would it do for him to take this to national television and rip apart their mother? Yes, I know she put it all out there. Yes, she's a nasty person. However, tearing her down on the networks would only cast him as a hateful person and may, in fact, only serve to have an undesired effect presenting him as a crazy hater off on a tirade. That Daily Mail article isn't new. It was published in June of 2014 when Robert published the second edition of the book. The one where he paraphrased Kate's journals. Right after the bolded highlights under the title it states

I agree they want HER recipe and also her attention, but if you google bulgogi (which is not only good but easy) there are a bunch of recipes which are all quite similar. The requests just add to her special snowflake status.
Oddly enough, I think that people who buy such gadgets overlap significantly with those who bought Katie's cookbook. You know, the one with those oh so precise measurements......

Here's the thing: If Kate promised her family's recipe for bulgogi, which she had to fully write out, then I can see it taking a little bit of time. But, it takes SECONDS to find a recipe online and link it.

Update on how many presents the children will get.
This morning on the Today Show they said each of her children got 75 gifts a piece.
So out of 300, 3 children get 225 presents. That leaves 25 each for the grandmother, mother and father out of 75 left for a grand total of 300.
That would be 50 children that would have a nicer Christmas.
Christmas Coalition (with public donations to CPS) in my area tries to give each child 5 presents. Depends on the donations. They still need a couple of hundred more sponsors to fill the need.
I know someone who has done Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes for the last couple of years. This year, she told me that instead of OCC this year, she found a young girl to sponsor and she bought her entire Christmas! What a lucky little girl!

Remember when TFW was getting ready to leave her 8 tiny kids for a free tummy tuck, and she was shown in the kitchen preparing lots of food to have for them while she was gone? I bought into the loving mother illusion then, but I surely don't now.
They did not show her prepping the chicken. It was already cut up and marinated. She grilled but I think that was the extent of it. Would not be surprised the house was stocked with groceries when they arrived.
